HERE'S some still-unnamed mvrck religion basics. the first pic looks like a family photo i swear it's not. They're Not Calling it Death These Days (which only comes about conceptually post-reincarnation) is more of a collapsed concept of life and death, since no one really experiences only one of those at once, anymore... lots of the most pertinent symbols are very connected to Real things. body and blood and nature. TECHNICALLY "life" has domain over the whole blood spectrum thing except for white at the very end, but people tend to lump serosanguine in with "death," too. for no reason at all. also the blood association does NOT mean the only color used is red. it's the most "traditional" maybe but what matters most is the value or "richness" of the color. jewel tones ftw i guess. veils are supposed to stop death from seeing your soul and taking you away. there's also superstition that bodies left uncovered after death will stay dead, while those that were covered may get back up again...

little bit of logo work. not mentioned directly in the image: the DNA lapel stitch is usually only worn by scientists or adjacents who work at science-focused LIVON facilities. nowadays, LIVON has their fingers in a lot of pies (the area the story takes place in is called 'the Lincoln-Livon Complex' for pete's sake...) so there's plenty of areas that don't deal with cloning. like manufacturing or schools. or the postal service, kinda. speaking of, my next logo creation goals are for the postal service, Spring Creek (or just 'Spring,' which is the most populated and successful settlement in the LLC) and maybe a logo slash mascot for the school in Spring lol

my utterly ridiculous Murder of Delphine Maverick -> Shovel Maverick Origins supercut. i kept waffling about whether or not to make this but i was tired of Maverick's art fight profile having outdated stuff on it, and at the time i didn't have any one good image to replace it with. so. here we are. fyi the undershirt shovel Maverick wears under the sweater is 100% the same little camisole he was killed in. he's gross like that.

also somewhere along the line my art style evolved to have very rectangular irises/pupils and I like it I do but part of me always wondered what rounder irises would look like. so. bug eyed
