OC-tober Day 6: Symbol

I actually was gonna do this art meme about oc symbolism with my blazeborn ocs a while back! I made my own version of the template, and wrote out my ideas for each, but never got to sketching any of it :/

So here's just the notes. Left (yellow-orange) is Herder, and right (darker orange) is Lord.

I think my favorite part is the songs. My minecraft ocs always get assigned actual tracks from the game, because I love the minecraft soundtrack. But especially for my blazeborns, I love assigning them the biome-specific Nether tracks. They're fitting mood-wise, but also match the biomes they spawned in. Herder with the basalt deltas, and Lord with the nether wastes.

If you're curious, Grave Raven, my third blazeborn, their song is Chrysopoeia, the warped forests track. And Herder's is Dragon Fish :]

I'd love to revisit this someday n do fancy little paintings for all my minecraft ocs, but we'll see,

AMARYLLIS:

Shy by nature, yet possessing a heart of gold, it's a pity that Amaryllis is too reclusive to attempt to step out of her already-minute social circle in an attempt to socialise. Years of living (more so "surviving") within the Nether have earned this blazeborn countless scars and a generally-fearful outlook towards life (what if there's more pain and suffering out there? She doesn't ever want to find out for definite). Luckily, with Myka's gentle reassurance, she's steadily growing more keen on making new friends.

MYKA:

If one were to attempt to summarise Myka in three ways, you'd find difficulty conceptualising anything other than "caring", "kind", and "full of so much energy that she's like a cheetah on steroids". Due to her glitzy upbringing in the horrendous circus in which she was trapped, this child knows a thing or two about what tricks she can carry out to be a total crowd-pleaser. Although she's attempting to forget about the pain she endured in the past, she can hardly contain herself any time she sees a trapeze or a set of juggling balls. She's working on being gentler nowadays to help Amaryllis grow accustomed to her new life.
