Jauneâs Father:Â âIf nothing else, be kind. Kindness costs you nothing, sportâ
Weiss: *From underneath many blankets, peeking from behind a comforter* Iâm truly sorry, Arc. I had meant to assist you in your dust theory paper, but Iâm not feeling terribly well.
Jaune: *Scratches head* Hey, no worries Sn- Weiss. Do you need anything? A hot compress?
Weiss: *Is glad she has a comforter for a shield as she blushes in embarrassment* How! *Coughs, in a normal tone of voice* Excuse me. How did you...
Jaune: I have seven sisters, Weiss.
Weiss: *Nods meekly, still embarrassed* A hot compress would be lovely. I feel awful.
-----------------Â
Yang: *Blinks* Is that vomit boy?
Blake: *Reading* You could try calling him by his name.
Yang: You could try acknowledging his existence. *Blake glares, feeling a little guilty*
Cardin: *Walking by* He needed a warm compress.
Yang: What for?
Cardin: *Feeling kinda humbled, a bit envious* Nothinâ serious.
-----------------Â
Jaune: *Taking box* Thanks Coco, youâre a lot less scary than Poppy said you were.
Coco: *Lowers her shades* Oh, did snookums slander my good name?
Jaune: *Feels his neck get hot* U-uh, no! Just that you were kinda protective of, um, *lifts box, almost drops it and gives Coco a heart attack* this. Sorry. But really, thanks, itâs really nice of you.
Coco: *Clutching her heart, waves him off* Just tell that leggy blonde she owes me some serious cuddling.
-----------------
Professor Peach: Itâs not often I get students actually interested in my hobby.
Jaune: Well, we are all teenagers.
Professor Peach: *Laughs* True enough. Hmm. *Side eyes Jaune* Well, the same canât be said for you, young man. *Sees Jaune about to protest* I think what you meant to say is youâre all aspiring Huntsmen and Huntresses. Sometimes the future is so bright and shiny to your classmates that they forgot the everyday. Itâs quite nice to see that isnât the case with each of you.
Jaune: *Opens and closes his mouth, shuffles awkwardly*
Professor Peach: *Smiles softly* You have nothing to be embarrassed of, Jaune Arc. Here *carefully hands his request over* exactly as you requested. Have a wonderful day, child.
Jaune: *Nods quickly and walks off*
Professor Peach: And days like today, Rosalie, are why you do this job. *Happily hums as she gets back to work*
-----------------
Jaune: Okay, look, Iâm just asking which--
Beryl: *Sighs dramatically* And Iâm telling you, kitten *Ignores Jauneâs protests* that theyâre all mondo good.
Julie: Like, Bea-Beaâs right. That one *pointing with a fuchsia nail* is just the sweetest thing in the world, will just have you feeling warm and happy inside after.
Cissy: Plus it has just...mmm. Ouch! *Is swatted by Beryl, playfully* You bitch. Anyways, that one right there is just cute and total *squeals* overload. Canât go wrong with it, itâs a classic.
Beryl: Then that one is probably the safest bet, because who doesnât love a puppy?
Jaune: A puppy? *Beryl nods* Well, uh, thanks. And I promise Iâll get them back to you by tomorrow. Iâll also see if Renâs interested, but, uh, maybe keep your semblances ready?
Cissy: *Raises hand* Uh, I havenât activated mine yet. Iâve just got Nemesis.
Beryl: *Slings arm around Cissyâs shoulders* Donât worry, kitten, between My House and Julieâs Spit-Spot, plus our weapons we can handle Valkyrie if she gets in a mood.
Jaune: *Deadpan* She was benchpressing one of the academyâs washing machines the other day. No aura.
Julie: Weâre good at running away.
Beryl: *Scandalized* Julie!
Julie: Cute boy or not, no way am I getting my face rocked by that monster.
Jaune: *Shrugs, collecting stuff to leave* Um, I donât know if itâll work but maybe fill your bags with syrup. Might work as a distraction if Mt. Nora erupts.
Beryl: *Flatly* Really?
Cissy: *Flips platinum blonde hair* I saw her drinking it right out of the bottle once before Lie stopped her.
Beryl: *Sees Jauneâs gone, giggles* Somehow I think kitten got the better end of the deal. *Speculative* Shame heâs super taken.
Julie: Uh, what? Isnât-
Beryl: Oh you sweet summer child, never change *Ruffles Julieâs hair*
Julie: Ack! Stop!
-----------------
Jaune: Thanks headmaster! This is all really great!
Ozpin: *Working at desk* No need to thank me, mister Arc.
Jaune: Uh, yeah I do. You didnât have to allow me to do this, but you did and itâs really neat of you.
Ozpin: *Smiles* Well then, youâre welcome. Enjoy.
-----------------
Ruby: You definitely came to the right girl!
Jaune: *Looking at his haul* Iâll say. Youâre sure youâre okay with helping? I kinda saw the looks you were giving Crescent Rose back at the forge. *Teasingly* You sure you donât want some alone time with your baby?
Ruby: *Blushes the color of her cloak* S-shut up! Sheâll be fine without me, I was just thinking of trying out some custom dust ammo is all! *Very seriously* I donât have a problem! You have a problem!
Jaune: Riii-iiight. *Ruby puffs cheeks out, teasingly* Like you donât have a cookie problem?
Ruby: *Points dramatically, very loud* THAT... *Slumps and sighs* please donât tell Yang I have a nightly plate of chocolate chip.
Jaune: *Laughs* No problem, Ruby. You know me. How can I turn my back on the girl who actually talked her team into not killing me when I told them I cheated my way into Beacon?
Ruby: Yeah, yeah. So get those babies ready, vomit boy and watch Ruby - I am totally a pro at this and all things wonderful - Rose do her magic!
Jaune: Will do, crater face!
-----------------
Jaune: *Grins* Thanks Cardin. You know, when youâre not being all racist and pushing people around youâre actually a really nice guy.
Sky: Ooooh. What a compliment. The kindness just gently caresses your face like a butterflyâs wings, huh Cardin?
Cardin: *Scowling* Shut it, Sky. Iâm still trying so thatâs totally fair.
Jaune: I, uh, didnât mean it--
Cardin: *Rubbing neck* I know dude, no worries. Got a date with my girl coming up and itâs our anniversary, so itâs just a little extra. And donât worry about paying me back, this is like the very least I can do for you after everything. *Jauneâs about to protest* Nope. I know weâre cool, but I was a huge douchebag. I mean it.
Jaune: Well thanks. It means a lot. *Leaves*
Russel: *Reading motorcycle magazine* You donât have a girl, bro.
Cardin: *Frowns* I know.
Dove: You know you donât have to help him out like that. Youâre only hurting yourself.
Cardin: *Wipes face with hands, flops on his bed and stares at the ceiling* Yeah, well, too bad for Cardin fucking Winchester. If Jauneâs happy, Iâm happy. I wasnât joking when I said he deserves better than me. *Rolls on side to stare at wall.*
RDL: *All staring at their leader, all of them sad*
-----------------
Jaune: *Cheerfully* Iâm back!
Weiss: *Very grumpily glaring at Jaune from beneath her covers, only her eyes visible, her voice is acidic* Itâs quite fine, Arc. Itâs only been two and a half hours. I know you have better things to do, so donât bother acting like you were looking forward to coming back to deal with me.
Jaune: *Winces* Yeah, sorry. I was getting the hot towel when I kinda realized that youâve probably been dealing with this all by yourself. *Weiss growls* Itâs just, I remembered how you said you and your Dad donât really talk and your little brotherâs a, a snot, I think you called him? *Weiss feels embarrassed, but says nothing while staring at Jaune* Just hold on.
*Weiss does but when he comes back in the room her eyes go wide in shock*
Jaune: I-I just have a lot of sisters. Four older, three younger and they all have different things they like when theyâre on their period. Saphronâs just happy if Iâll bring her things and Coral just wants me to leave her alone. Peri always wants cuddles and movies and *blushes as he realizes how much heâs talking* I just thought instead of whatever you usually do, you might want something more? Just to try something new?
Weiss: *Stares at several hot compresses, an expensive looking box of chocolates, a small boquet of blue Glory of the Snowâs, a stack of films, several unhealthy but delicious looking snacks and a stuffed polar bear with a top hat*
Weiss: *Wide eyed, completely taken aback* W-what?
Jaune: I-I-I donât mean to assume anything, but Iâm guessing you didnât really have anyone who tried to make your period any better?
Weiss: I have a butler, Klein, who would always check in on me but never, well I never thought to ask for more. *Very softly as she stares at the rolling entourage of goodies* It never occurred.
Jaune: Okay, well, um, how about I bring this in?
*Jaune does, Weiss watching as he sets the flowers near her bed with wide eyes and gratefully accepting the compress, bringing it under her comforter and sighing in relief*
Jaune: Weâll have to set it up on your scroll, but I did bring movies to just so you have something fun to do today. Thereâs a family film with an apparently super cute actor, another thatâs a cute animated movie thatâs a staple of everybodyâs childhood except mine apparently, *Weiss snorts, watching the covers* and one about a puppy finding his way home--
Weiss: *Eyes glued to the case, speaks immediately* That one.
Jaune: You sure, I checked the fam--
Weiss: *Eyes not leaving the box* Iâm certain. *Flushes* Please?
Jaune: Sure. Just let me set this up.
*Jaune also hands over the chocolates, which Weiss stares at curiously and much to her delight, brings over the bags of snacks and she clutches the bag of cheesy poofs to her, very much wanting to try them for the first time*
Jaune: Okay, that should do it. So youâve got your Cheez-E-Poofs, I grabbed a few sodas, juices that I thought you might like *quickly* but I also got water! Um, here. *Hands Weiss the stuffed animal, which she stares at and brings close to her face, loving how cute it is and how soft it is* Oh, Ruby helped me dip some strawberryâs in chocolate if you wanna try them later. Thereâs normal ones too.
Weiss: *Touched and doesnât know what to say* I-itâs all so...umm, thank you. You really didnât have to.
Jaune: *Scratches the back of his head, looks away* No problem, Weiss. Iâm used to stuff like this, so...Iâll go. *Looking very embarassed* Youâve probably had enough of me talking you to death, so Iâm just gonna go across the hall--
Weiss: *From behind her bear* Stay. *Jaune stares at her, blinking in surprise* You were going to offer, but you...back home the most I ever got were the occasional visits from Klein. But having someone to be there sounds very nice and Iâd like if you would. Very much. I certainly wonât eat all of this anyways, so...please?
Jaune: *Nodding rapidly* Sure. Right. Yeah, I just didnât wanna assume or impose or *watches Weissâ eyes light up at the cheesy snack she just tried* Iâll sit.
*Jaune sits next to Weissâ bed and they watch the film, eat snacks and after the movie, Weiss tries the strawberries as the second film starts. When she wakes up after falling asleep, she discovers the mess sheâd made of the comforter is cleaned, Jaune had gathered up her snacks and placed them in a box. Her flowers now have a vase and the bear she had placed on his shoulder is on her pillow*
Weiss: *Smiles and hugs bear tightly*
~~A week later~~
Weiss: *Exasperated* Where is he?
Yang: *Balancing a pencil on her nose on her bed, ignoring her homework* Who?
Weiss: *Notices Berry B. Cold on Yangâs stomach and shoots forward like a bullet, snatching him and hugging him to her abdomen* You know who you bum, Jaune!
Yang: *Grinning like the cat who ate the canary* Oh-ho, finally acknowledging him by his first name after all this time, Weiss Cream?
Weiss: *Blushing* Quiet you.
Ruby: Leave her alone, Yang. But, uh, I donât really know where he is.
Weiss: Nonsense. I may have missed the chance to help him with his paper but at the very least I can at least explain some of the theory to him, give him better than what Beaconâs textbooks offer.
Yang: Oh yeah, sure, sounds fun.
Weiss: *Bristling* E-even if itâs a boring subject, it is useful. *Hugs bear tighter* And he needs all the help he can get and--
Blake: *Walking in* If youâre talking about Jaune, heâs way too busy Weiss.
Weiss: I beg your pardon?
Yang: Yeah, you didnât know?
Weiss: *Irritated* No Yang, itâs why I asked you in the first place.
Yang: *Flatly* Oh. I thought you were joking. No, I mean it, donât look at me like that! Seriously, vomit boyâs been busy the last couple days.
Weiss: *Confused* But why?
Yang: *Staring* Seriously? I mean, he got that whole thing together for you.
Weiss: M-me!? Is that...but he said he was used to it! I-I knew he was talking about his sisters, but he said Ruby helped! H-he...
Ruby: Yup, I did, but I didnât know Jaune was making them so you could have a nice, comfy that-time-of-the-month. I thought he just wanted a strawberry snack! That heâd finally been enlightened. *Sighs*
Yang: And that whole spread wasnât just free, he went around and traded a lot of favors to get it together.
Weiss: *Gaping* H-he...what? He traded favors, just... *Uncertain, squeezing her bear while looking distressed* You didnât know? He hasnât done that with any of you?
Ruby: Nope!
Blake: Gods no.
Yang: Dadâs sweet like that for me when itâs bad-bad, but if Jaune offered Iâd definitely turn him down. *Gives Weiss a look*
Ruby: Yeah, and all I need is my Non-Descript Winter Holiday lights and my guns ân ammo mags plus my scroll and Iâm happy. *Shrugs* I get really crabby so I prefer being alone.
RWY: *Staring at Blake*
Blake: My ex did it for me once. Never again.
Weiss: S-so he did all that, just for me? Because I was miserable?
Yang: *Sighs, flops back on her bed* I donât know why youâre so surprised. Ask his team. Jauneâs actually a pretty nice guy. He aimed Neptune in your direction back at the dance even though anybody with eyes knew he was kinda bummed the whole night. After you started talking with him after and started sharing, I think he just wanted you to have, yâknow, some normal stuff that we all enjoy because our Dadâs arenât asshats.
Ruby: Yang!
Blake: *Sees Weiss looking at her, looking upset* Heâs been Cocoâs personal shopper for the last week, heâs been dodging Nora since Ren agreed to a date with each of those girls from Team SNLT because she is pissed, heâs been doing odd jobs for Ozpin all week, heâs been doing a lot of work outside for Peach and I think heâs also been in the laundry rooms a lot. That stuff wasnât just free. Plus heâs had to do all his usual leader stuff and his homework.
Weiss: *Gapes, hugs her bear and her eyes drift to her box of treats and she purses her lips* B-but...thatâs so much, just so I...
Yang: Um, he likes you Weiss. Even if he stepped aside for Neptune, heâs not gonna just poof whatever he feels for you away just because he doesnât have a chance. Then he sees you feeling like shit, knows just how bad it is because of all his sisters and gets it in his head that you deserve the princess treatment. *Stretches* He offered for Pyrrha once but she just went really red, yelled âNO!â and apparently pushed him through a wall.
Weiss: *Sits on bed with her knees pulled up, hugging her bear while hiding a wobbling lip as she realizes and RBY just sighs*
~~Four days later~~
Yang: *Grins* Called it.
Blake: Yes, because it was such a mystery that this was gonna happen after Weiss had it spelled out for her that Jaune still has it bad for her even if he was trying to get over her. Iâll admit I still donât understand the way Weiss thinks or why Jaune would put himself through all of that just because Weiss was having a bad period when it was clear at the time she wasnât even thinking of him that way, but câmon Yang.
Yang: *Hand out*
Blake: *Rolls her eyes, puts Lien in her hand* Child.
*Meanwhile Weiss stands on her tiptoes, arms around Jauneâs neck and enjoys kissing her boyfriend*
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two things: One, I headcanon Cardin as gay and occasionally having a thing for Jaune if it isnât entirely obvious. Two, I donât want my Tumblr to be nothing but crack/lewd. Iâd also like some occasional romance/wholesome content. This isnât the best, but hopefully itâs not quite as bad as I think it is towards the end.

A look into the multiverse chapter 5
Soooo. Due to post limit im gonna have to reblog this post with the rest. Just tell y'all when you wonder where the rest is lol. Anyways intro for Winter is done by ExiledDarkness. Everything else is all meeee! On with the post.
A flash of light blinds everyone in the room. As it dies down, Winter Schnee is shown to be standing in the middle of the room.
"Winter?!" Weiss exclaims in shock. The rest of the cast, except for Qrow who groans in annoyance, keeps silent as Weiss explains to Winter about the situation they're in.
Winter nods. "I see. How interesting. I usually wouldn't do something like this but it appears that I have been given no other choice."
"Yeah, that seems to be the case with everything going on in my life." Jaune says while scratching his head.
The screen's light flickers on again and shows a boy setting up his computer and putting a helmet on his head. The sound of the computer starting up is heard.
"Link start!" With those words a flash of light appears with lines of color streaking across the screen.
"That voice sounded familiar âŠ" Winter muttered to herself
"What was that Winter? Weiss asked, turning to her sister.
"Ah. It's nothing"
"Ah. Sword art online." The boy thinks to himself, sighing wistfully. "It's been a while since the beta. Wonder if they change anything?
A man in his early 20s with white hair looks and sees that ads plague the area around him.
"Oh c'mon guys, really? That's just disgusting." The man said to no one, his disgust at the ads was apparent.
"Yeah, seriously. That's just annoying. Qrow said with a grimace.
"Active Adblocker" A screen appeared in front of the young saying it was 29.99 for the Adblocker DLC. The man chuckled darkly. "I'm gonna burn this F***r to the ground.
"Please do!" Nora said a manic grin on her face.
The scene cuts to Blond man with long hair being tackled by a pig, the man blonde groaning in pain.
"That's Sun." Blake said almost immediately.
"How can you tell? Yang asked.
"I just know."
"Well he just got his ass kicked by a pig." Jaune said, laughing a bit
"Wow, Congrats. You were defeated by a pig." The white hair man was there looking down at Blonde unimpressed.
"F**k you man, that's like a pig from hell! The blonde cried, looking at the boar in terror.
"Really?" The white hair man smirked, and picked up a rock and threw it at the boar's ass killing it. It exploded into shards and a screen showed the exp he had got from killing it.
"Wow. This either that blonde guy sucks that bad or the other guy just that good." Mercury said with a grin.
"My god." He gasped with a shit eating grin on his face. "I've stumbled across the most powerful weapon in the game"
"Stop" The blonde whimper.
"The Mithril Pebble of pig smithing!"
"Please stop."
The white hair man takes a deep breath of air as the Blonde groans.
"My god, this sounds like something Whitely would do." Weiss said with an annoyed look.
"For you see, long ago, this pebble was forged in the fiery pits of tartarus,by the grand blacksmith of Lucifer himself. In a time before the world beganâŠ
The blonde facepalm as his party member continued. The sun had started to fall when the white haired man was finishing up.
"And thus, Mardoza, Guardian of the pebble, fell to his knees, and passed from this world, leaving behind the mighty weapon. For he knew... that one day, it's power would be required once more.
"Are you done?" The blonde asked.
"Yes." But then he whispered: The legacy of the pebble lives on.
"I have a feeling you get beat up a lot in real life." The blonde snarked.
"And he's using it as some kinda power fantasy cause he can't be that cool in real life." Yang added.
"Shut up! Here I have power!"
"Right, anyways, I've got a pizza coming, and I'm gonna meet up with some friends later.
So thanks for the quick tutorial on pig slaying and the not so quick tutorials onâŠ. rocksâŠShirou Yuki?" The blonde slowly wording out the other's username.
"Hey,no problem. I had fun taunting you." Shirou said with a grin. "Ballsdeep69"
"Yeah that's Sun." Blake said, shaking her head. "Only he would come up with such a dumb name."
Meanwhile Winter had a good idea who Shirou Yuuki was, but didn't want to say anything until she was 100% sure.
Ballsdeep69 laughs a bit. "Yeah it's uh, it's just a joke name. Just a character to dick around with while I get a hang of the game. I'm gonna make my real character later."
"Yeah yeah. No, I get it."
Shirou and balls look at each other awkwardly for a while when Shirou breaks the silence. "So uh...your pizza?"
"Right, right logging out." Balls swipes the air with his right hand and goes to log out but notices something odd.
"Hey,Shirou?" Balls called out. "Um, Totally noob question, but how do I log out?
"Are you serious, man?" Shirou asked exasperated.
"Yeah, Really dude? How hard is it to logout?" Jaune asked just as exasperated.
"Hey this Nervegear man. I can't Alt-F4 this sh*t.
Shirou sighs. "Alright fine. It's rightâŠ" He looked at his menu screen in confusion. "Here?"
"Oh thanks, player's guide." Balls deadpan.
"No it's here. But it's just blank."
Balls turns back to his menu and something catches his eye. "Oh wait, something scrolling Across mine. HahahahahahahaHAHAha"
"I get it." Shirou said with a frown.
"Wait, Wait, there's more. Ha."
"Riveting."
"Wait so they can't log out? What happened?" Ruby asked the rest of the confused viewers
"Eh no worries I'll just take the nervegear off like SO!" Balls reaches around his head and tries to take it off to no effect.
"Hey, dumbass, It doesn't work like that." Shirou sheerned. "The Nervegear disables your motor function so you don't move around in the game. Don't you remember all those videos of the beta testers?
The clip on Dustube plays, A man walking around in nerve gear is marlouving at the tech is shown. Someone, a friend of his walks up and offers a greeting to the man and he mistakes his friend for a troll and goes to pummel his friend into the ground.
It goes back to Shirou and Balls.
"So many lawsuits." Shirou muttered.
A few of the viewers had a good laugh at that.
"Uh, Do you feel tingly?" Balls asked before the two were transferred from mellow they were in a city square.
"No. Why?" Shirou asked casually. The two looked around and it seemed that other players were being teleported into the city square.
"What the hell is that?" Balls asked, looking at the sky going red.
"Well, I believe some people call it a Hexagon? Ain't 100% on that, gonna have to check my sources." Shirou snarked.
"Man f*ck off."
"I like this guy." Mercury said with a grin
The sky started to seem like it was starting to bleed.
"And The sky's bleeding" Shirou observed, not seeming to really care."
"Yeah, they are really pushing for that M rating." Balls repsoned on caring as much as Shirou.
"Wow the sky bleeds and they don't even care." Winter said.
"Probably because they know it's a video game, Ice Queen." Qrow reposned
A hooded figure appears flooding in the air. A wave of dangers fills most of the players in the area.
"Oh it's a person." Expect for one player.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I am Jaune Arc, Head programmer!"The figure greeted."
"Jaune made this game?" Ruby asked, looking towards the blond.
"Nice Vomit boy." Yang said slapping Jaune on the back. Jaune grunted a bit but smiled towards Yang.
"Welcome to the unparalleled online Sword art onli-" Jaune was interrupted by the player being to talk frantically among themselves. Jaune tried to get them to focus their attention on him by muting them, but ended up muting himself.
"He knows he muted himself right?" Balls asked.
"Give him a minute." Shirou mutters. Jaune unmuted himself.
A few laugh at Jaune's mistake as the Blonde himself facepalms at his mistake.
"Alright. Just realized what happened there. It's very funny. But right now, serious time. How many of you have seen Tron?" He was met with complete and utter silence. Jaune looked over the crowd and was met with blank stares, not counting Shirou. "W-what seriously?! None of you have seen Tron?! " Jaune asked, completely baffled. "I was really banking on that."
"Seriously?! No one had seen Tron?" Jaune all but screamed.
A few viewers didn't want to admit to not seeing Tron either.
Jaune cleared his throat, and proceeded to wing the entire thing. "Much like the world of warcraft, none of you are here by choice anymore. Unlike WoW, however, your being held here by me, not by a need to escape your empty f*cking lives. There is no longer any way to log out of Sword art online. If someone on the outside attempts to log you by removing your Nerve gear, well⊠Has anyone seen scanners?
Jaune once again looked and was once again met with silence.
"Uh Scanners. It's a movieâŠ. Seriously?! He grumbles to himself about how the people here had no class and pulled up a clip of a man's head exploding. "Okay. That was from Scanners⊠and basically that.
"First Tron, now Scanners?!" Jaune facepalm.
"You just trapped god knows how many people in a video game, and you're worried about what movie they haven't seen?! Weiss retorted. Jaune flinched and wisely kept quiet.
The crowd gasped in shock.
"Finally seeing some gears turning, making progress."
"Why would you do such a thing?!" One player cried out.
"Stephen? Stephen is that you?" Jaune asked happily "How are you enjoying that advance copy?"
"I'm playing it with my family!" Stephen repiled.
"Oh, that's right!" The hooded figure laughed. "Happy birthday Timmy!"
Little Timmy began to cry.
"Aw, They grow up so fast." He said, sighing. " Cherish these moments Stephen. Cherish these moments. So as I was saying, the only way to keep the nervegear from going Gallager on your grey matter, is to make your way through castle Aincrad and beat Sword Art Online!"
"So you want us to beat a MMO?" A random player asked.
"Essentially."
"F*CK YOU!"
"That is the correct response when someone says to beat a MMO" Ren said.
"Is it really that bad?" Oscar asked and he receive a loud
"YES!"
"WOAH! Getting a lot of hostility here. Do not appreciate it."
"Well honestly!" The same player began,"When was the last time you heard of someone beating Everquest?"
"When was the last time you heard of someone playing Everquest?" Jaune fired back. There was a slight pause.
"That's fair."
"EverquestâŠ. That's a deep cut." Qrow said, sighing thinking back.
"Anywho, for all you guys that wanted to play as girls, and you know who you are," Despite not seeing his face they could tell Jaune had a huge grin. "I've got a surprise for you!"
A mirror appeared in everyone's hands and a light filled the city.
A young boy, no older than 14 was where Shirou was. He still had the white hair and was wearing the same clothes but was more lankey and shorter than the man who was once there.
"Shirou Yuuki?" The boy turned and a familiar face was shown.
"Whitely?!" Weiss cried out at the sight of her brother.
"I knew it was him." Winter said. The username gave him away, Not only is it the username for when he goes on forums, Shirou Yuuki has the same meaning as his real name.
"How do you know what username he uses when he's online? Weiss asked her sister, a question that went unanswered.
"You're not a girl!" A fat player cried out.
"And you're not 17!" Another skinner one also cried out."
"I'm okay with this!"
"Me too!"
"LOVE KNOWS NO GENDER!" Someone shouted out.
"A wise seminent. Ozpin said sipping his coffee."

Bumbleby prompt! Blake comforting Yang after the traumatic events of the last couple episodes
I went a little overboard with this tbh-
âIâll Always Stand by your Side in the Endâ
V8 C4 SPOILER WARNING
-------
"What do you mean you lost Oscar?!"
The sound of Ruby's voice from the other side of the room startled Blake awake. She sat up to open her eyes to a living room inside of the Schnee Manor. She was on a sofa, and beside her was Weiss, who was still asleep. Blake took a moment to process what she'd just heard before realization set in.
She shot up off the sofa rushing to Ruby who still was using her scroll. The caller id appeared as she realized it was Yang she was talking to... It'd been hours since they'd heard from the rest of their team, and Blake had been worried most of the night for Yang.
"We were clearing up some grimm down in Mantle and this grimm came in and scared away a few beowolves before literally taking Oscar! This grimm... You won't believe me when I say this Ruby..." Yang held a pause for a moment which gave Blake an opportunity to hear the engine of a motorbike at full speed in the background, Blake was pulled back to the original conversation when the words she'd never expect to hear in her life rushed out of Yang, "The grimm talked! It even knew how to protect itself! We weren't able to stop it, at first it kept using Oscar as a... Almost like a meat shield! Then while we're chasing it-it called for help! Grimm don't do that... Something is really off."
"How is that even possible?" Ruby spoke with pure shock. She turned to notice Blake was now awake, "You... Did you hear what happened Blake?"
"Blake?" Yang's voice came over. Blake's ear twitched to the sound of her name from Yang.
"I heard... Are you coming back? And even then... What are we going to do?" Blake replied. She felt her ears press against her head as she took a step back.
"I don't know... But we're heading back. Are you guys already in Mantle?" Yang was quick to ask her sister.
"No, Nora got injured while we were in the Compound, we're in the Schnee Manor now letting her rest, but once she's ready to go we'll be back down as quick as we can," Ruby paused for a moment, "So we can figure out how we're going to get Oscar back from Salem."
----
Within an hour Weiss had woken up, along with May who had been sleeping on another sofa. Nora still was unconscious and her aura only in the middle. Blake hoped it wouldn't be too long before they could get back down to Mantle, she was worried about them. About Jaune, Ren, especially Oscar... And Yang.
Her mind wouldn't drift to anything else aside from Yang. The fear in her voice still shook her. She'd witnessed probably the first grimm ever in the history of Remnant talk and show signs of actual intelligence.
Ruby and Weiss had been lightly conversing about the situation, Weiss, who was also very shocked to hear what had happened to the other group, had barely spoken all morning. Blake still sat by the window, wondering just how bad it was... If grimm learned how to actually protect themselves, that could be bad for all of Remnant, not just them.
...
She'd been tempted to call Yang, she figured they'd be back in Mantle by now waiting for them, but part of her wouldn't let her pick up her scroll. If she did she'd stare at the call button for a few minutes before putting her scroll back down.
Things finally started to get a move on for the morning when Nora awoke around 15 minutes later. Her aura was still around halfway recharged but they had an actual emergency now. The burn marks from the electricity though were healing to be scars that ran throughout her body.
After an even longer amount of time, Ruby and Weiss went off and made breakfast for them, something quick since they didn't have much time. Waffles, something Blake enjoyed. The 5 of them had sat and eaten quickly before checking to see if they had everything and soon enough they were back in the airship they came in. They took off, and Blake was beside Ruby, who stared out the window.
She took the moment to talk to her.
"Are you okay..?" She asked, Ruby, didn't turn around as her face grew slightly sadder.
"Yeah... I'm just worried about Oscar... And Penny... Keeping Penny out of reach of Salem is the best option we have right now but I still worry... If the littlest thing goes wrong with launching Amity..." She paused, taking in a breath of hesitation. Ruby turned to Blake, and Blake met her silver eyes.
"Oscar... We know Salem has the relic and... Oscar technically still has Ozpin buried inside him somewhere... I worry... Salem probably doesn't know how to work the Relic of Knowledge but Oscar does." Ruby spoke. Blake understood the point, who knows what Salem would even want with the Relic of Knowledge.
"We're here." May cut off the conversation as Blake finally looked out the window again and realized they were down in Mantle. As they landed Weiss pulled out her scroll and began to pull up a call with Jaune Ren and Yang. Within moments it was Jaune who answered.
"We're back, are you guys at the restaurant?" Weiss said.
"Yes, we're working on a plan, you really need to hurry," Jaune said.
"Why? More news?" Blake asked.
"No... It's just really bad." Jaune sighed. The group hopped out of the airship and set off for the restaurant and within seconds they were back inside the same room they started in.
The reunion was... Different than expected. When Blake entered Yang hadn't even turned to her, she stood up to hug Ruby, looked at Weiss then sat back down.
Is she... Mad at me?
The horrid thought wouldn't leave her, but it stayed for a while when they all sat around the table. So far the only plan they'd had was to go straight into the giant Grimm whale and see if that was where Oscar was.
Of course, that plan had been thrown off the table quickly, and in this case literally. There was a scrapped piece of paper on the floor of a battle plan of sorts.
What felt like hours passed by and nothing. They'd had smaller plans that would quickly be scrapped. They decided to take a short break, take a minute to breathe, and see if any good ideas would come that way. Blake had sat nervously, wondering if Yang would maybe acknowledge her now. She'd conversed with her in parts of their planning session but they still hadn't had an actual conversation.
What she didn't expect was to not have been paying attention when she did eventually speak to her.
"Are you... Mad at me?"
The tables almost turned as Blake realized Yang wasn't mad at her... She was... Was she worried she was mad at her?
"No! I'm not upset... Â I'm just worried. Everything going on..." Blake sighed as Yang took a seat beside her, "I thought you were mad at me for not going with you..."
"Blake, you were doing what you thought was right and in this situation, I'm just glad you're okay." Yang sighed.
...
"Are you okay, Yang?" Blake asked, turning to face her partner more directly. Yang took a while to respond. Blake grew anxious more and more before the response came.
"I don't know..." Yang's voice was barely a whisper. Blake could see invisible tears roll down Yang's face. Just by the looks of things it seemed worse than she'd expected overall. She spoke again, still in a whisper, "I just feel like this is partially my fault... Oscar being taken and all."
"It was not your fault." Her hand moved to caress Yang's cheek, "No one has ever seen a grimm like that before, and look now, we have no idea how to handle this. Even if you'd tried something then there's no guarantee it'll work. We'll get Oscar back. I promise." Yang stayed silent again as she leaned forward to fall into a hug with Blake, to which Blake moved her arms to hold onto Yang who by this point was almost crying. She noticed Ruby in the background, staring at the two of them. Her eyes wide with worry, but Blake nodded and Ruby turned away.
Once the hug was released she held eye contact with Yang.
"Yang, I know this wasn't your fault, and you did everything you could. You, Jaune, and Ren. This wasn't any of your faults, and I want you to know that." Blake said, "I'm not mad at you whatsoever, I just don't want you to get too worked up over this... I don't know what the future holds if I'm being honest, but no matter what, I promise I'll stand by your side in the end."
Silence rested between the two as Yang stood up with Blake. They hugged for a moment before Yang's eyes lit up.
"Guys, I have an idea."

WELP THAT'S A WRAP
I don't usually like writing things that could be in a canon setting per say but this was actually fun, writing hurt/comfort is kinda my jam, and for what it usually turns out to be this worked out a bit better than most I feel. Anyways... Please just be okay you two omg :(

How I would do RWBY pt. 7
War Arc.
Season Seven.
The Cabal is standing room only and Salem is enraged at recent turn of events.
Complains loudly to Myrmidon.
Myrmidon assures Salem that the current plan is not only progressing smoothly but Ozpin still has no idea what it is.
Salem calms down and her mind turns to Cinder. Particularly the fact that Ozpin has captured Cinder.
Salem wonders if she ever told Cinder about the current plan.
She realizes that, yes, yes she did.
Salem is once again angry.
RWBY and JN(P)R are enjoying relative peace as next moves are planned.
Neo is the most cooperative with authorities out of team CEMN.
Due to being, more or less, just hired help she isnât all that helpful.
Emerald and Mercury are in a similar situation due to being Cinderâs direct underlings and not Salemâs.
All they know is what Cinder told them, which was only just enough to keep them compliant.
Cinder is the one that would have information but is quite tightlipped about things that arenât insults.
Ozpin wants answers but Ironwood draws the line at out and out torturing a teenager.
Cinder is just waiting in her cell with one arm cuffed to a chair.
WBY and JN(P)R all have a go at trying to make her talk. (Ruby isnât allowed near her)
Blake tries empathizing with her situation, formerly being one of the bad guys herself.
Cinder says that Blake was an easily swayed idiot who didnât know what she was actually doing.
Ren and Nora try good cop bad cop.
Cinder calls both of them morons. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Weiss tries bribing her with money and medical help for her missing bits.
Cinder tells her to eat shit.
Jaune tries a âyouâre a deranged psychopath, prove me wrongâ approach.
Cinder taunts him by talking about killing Pyrrha.
Not only does Jaune have to be pulled out of there, Ren and Nora have to be talked down from cutting the cameras and shank-rushing her.
Ironwood offers her a plea bargain. Spill on Salem and donât get hanged for heinous war crimes.
Cinder rebukes all of it to varying degrees of profanity.
Pennyâs turn.
Penny doesnât ask her any questions or try anything.
All she says is that she forgives Cinder, that someone should even if no one else ever would.
Cinder is a little unnerved but remains uncooperative.
Everyone calls it quits for the day.
Ruby sneaks into Cinderâs cell when no one is looking.
Cinder almost has a heart attack out of fear of what Ruby will do to her.
Gives her an emotional speech on how Cinder and Salem ruined her life and the worst part is that it was her new best friend that did it.
Ruby is found and escorted out of the cell.
Cinder, having slightly awakened her long ignored heart, says that she did consider Ruby a sort of friend.
Ruby tells her to go to hell.
Yang notices that Cinderâs veneer is peeling.
Decides to take her shot.
Yang surmises that Salem was involved, to a degree, in raising Cinder.
Cinder confirms but also is insulting.
Yang talks about how she knows a little something about parental figures who donât give a crap.
Cinder gets angry, says that she knows that Salem cares about her.
Yang says that if Salem cared then why did Cinder have to go to Atlas to try and get her attention again?
Cinder starts flinging insults about unloving mother figures.
Yang flings back better ones.
Cinder brags that theyâre all dead anyway.
Says that Salemâs big plan is to set off a special bomb-like grimm that will turn another chunk of the planet into grimm land just like the territory around her sanctum.
Ensuring a lack of stability that will force the rest of the world to adapt and evolve.
She doesnât know where Salem is planning to set it off though.
Everything across the previous seasons was trying to maximize chances of it going off without a hitch.
Weakening potential target areas, providing distractions, eliminating threats, things like that.
That or it was just another attempt to kill Ozpin. Sometimes both. Mostly both.
Thatâs when she realizes that she just told Salemâs master plan directly to her greatest opposition.
Says that her talking wonât matter and will enjoy watching Salem kill all of them.
Yang tells her to stop being such a chuunibyou.
Ozpinâs Council (Him, Ironwood, Glynda, Qrow, Winter, RWBY, JN(P)R, Ciel, mad scientist) start trying to deduce where Salem will set off the grimm nuke.
Atlas is too militarized, even with the troubles there. Vacuo is too close and wouldnât provide much strategically. Menagerie and Mistral are both too out of the way to be of use.
The target is Vale. A centralized zone that still has yet to completely recover from the events of the school arc and will further fragment the free peoples of the world.
Not to mention that itâs Ozpinâs personal favorite kingdom. Just another insult on a very long list.
Everyone packs up and heads to Vale for a very somber return home.
Emerald, Neo, and Mercury offer to properly switch sides on the grounds that they had no idea about the whole âfuck over the worldâ thing.
They only signed on to cause a little trouble and get paid.
They want to help stop Salem now, especially if theyâre probably considered expendable collateral.
Offer is appreciated but the handcuffs stay on.
Upon arrival in Vale, Ruby and Yang are immediately accosted by Tai.
Tai is upset with Ruby for running off and not doing so much as ever calling him and heâs upset with Yang just for not calling ever.
Heâs proud of his girls for doing so much to help the world, but still.
Raven is there too and offers Ruby a hug from her new stepmother.
Tai and Raven reveal their wedding rings, showing that they have in fact tied the knot (Taiâd the knot).
Yang BSODs for a moment.
Raven has a moment with Yang and Ruby, saying that she took the scolding to heart and realized that, yes, she was a piece of shit.
Came back to Tai to try and start making up for things.
It took a little work but Tai is no longer a depressed, overprotective, neglectful, sad sack of crap, so maybe itâs not the worst thing that sheâs back.
Sheâs also given all the intel she acquired while part of the Cabal.
R+Y are skeptical but intend to burn that bridge when they cross it later.
Cinder sneaks out of her cell.
Tries to bust EMN out too.
They rebuke her, saying that they would rather not help permanently fuck over a continent and by extension the world for no real reason beyond âbecause you said soâ.
They would rather live in the world, not destroy it.
Cinder leaves them to rot, finds her gear, and steals a new robo-arm for her trouble, doing everything she can to stay under the radar while she thinks of what to do next.
RWBY + JN(P)R have trips down memory lane as they walk through the ruins or the rebuilt versions of their old haunts.
Remembering the good times and the bad.
The trials and tribulations as well as the warm memories that they keep dreaming about returning to.
Then they get to work.
They scour the recovering city of Vale first for any sign of anything grimm or Salem related.
Team CRDL, who stayed in Vale as volunteer workers and security, say that aside from a few more grimm raids, nothing special has happened in months.
CRDL assist as much as a team of jobber jabronis can.
Surprisingly, they donât act like cunts.
Ozpin realizes that the only places that havenât been searched were the places heâs kept secret.
Reveals his illuminati style cave with monitoring equipment that has tabs all over the world.
It has cameras and stuff in places that Ozpin has absolutely no right or need to know about.
Low and behold, grimm have tunneled into it.
Myrmidon is in there, checking up on things.
She introduces herself to the main characters and then cheeses it, leaving a distraction force of grimm.
After theyâre dealt with, they turn their attention to the big fucking elephant in the room.
Massive, bulbous, monster of a centipede grimm is right in the center of the chamber. The grimm nuke.
Theyâve found it, sure, but now what do they do?
The Council has a brainstorming session to try and come up with a solution.
Canât just kill it, itâll go off.
Ravenâs portals only go to people sheâs bonded with in some way and it would still fuck up wherever it was teleported to.
Itâs a living thing so disarming it like a conventional bomb is not exactly possible.
EMN are questioned on what they might know about it but arenât able to help much.
This is when they realize that Cinder is gone.
Search effort begins to stop her from fucking everything up.
Yang and Jaune eventually find Cinder.
Keep up the browbeating even as they fight her.
Cinder says that even if she wanted to help, Salem would kill her if she did.
Yang calls Salem a bitch.
She says that Salemâs about to kill her anyway when the thing goes boom.
Cinder relents and says that sheâs not sure but Rubyâs white fire is probably the key.
Salem had Summer killed out of fear of her semblance potentially interfering with this exact plan.
Cinder about to am-scray while Yang and Jaune are distracted by putting plan together.
Jaune stops her.
Punches her in the face, hitting the side that can see.
Says that that was for Pyrrha.
Cinder runs off rubbing her jaw.
Begin white fire surgery.
They cut small, precise, holes in the grimm and Ruby burns the resulting goo deluge.
Plan is working shockingly well. Grimm is losing explosive fuel by the truckload.
Takes some time, but eventually all that is left is the monster itself and the explosive trigger.
Trigger goes off in a pathetically emaciated whiff.
Everyone celebrates.
Then they realize that they still have a massive centipede grimm monster that is in the top ten largest ever recorded grimm underneath Vale.
Said massive centipede grimm turns on default mode. Default mode being rushing towards the nearest living thing and killing it.
Said grimm bursts into downtown Vale with more grimm coming behind it.
Right when they had just finished cleaning it up.
Season final boss time.
RWBY, JN(P)R, CRDL, EMN, and the living elements of STRQ fight the grimm.
Professors of Beacon are also helping as well as The Council in general.
Cinder, in her attempt to get out of there, gets caught in the fighting too.
Fuck it. CFVY and SSSN show up from Mistral on Ozpinâs request for backup.
All. The. Warriors.
EVERYONE gets a hit or two in on the grimm.
Big final hit with everyone involved.
Grimm is dead.
Salem is back in her sanctum watching this on a crystal ball or whatever.
Her own rage and frustration at what happened spawns a whole new horde of grimm.
Screams loud enough to break all the glass in her sanctum.
Ruby and Cinder have stare-down after grimm is dead.
Both silently decide that there are bigger fish to fry and go their separate ways.
Big celebration party. World saw RWBY kick absolute ass.
Cinder is out of options so she is now on her way back to Salem.
Myrmidon is sharpening her spear/sword/rifle.
She canât wait.
Season seven done.

Sling Inktober Bmblb
Yangâs heart shattered into a million shards of regret the moment Blake ripped the curtain surrounding her bed wide. Her eyes frantic with worry, her hands shook as they reached out for Yang but abruptly she retracted them. Fisting her hands at her side lest she accidentally cause harm. The clench of her jaw and the way she blinked, too often, as she raked her eyes over every inch of Yang's body that was visible spoke volumes of her anxiety. Was she close to tears?
Yang, not for the first time, wished she'd chosen a different path that night. She should have never taken Nora up on her challenge âYang had no right cliff diving as if she was still sixteenâ resulting in the phone call that led Blake to have to pick her up. Yang refused the offers to follow her to the hospital. Pyrrha understood, finally putting a stop to Nora's guilty pleas, though Yang was in pain, she was also embarrassed. Not wanting to cause Yang more stress or pain than she was currently in Pyrrha agreed to go home instead of the hospital; only if Yang called Ruby to meet her there.
Rubyâs voicemail greeted her though she didnât tell Pyrrha. She spoke as if having a quick conversation before hanging up. Pyrrha kissed her forehead before exiting the ambulance, letting the medics close her in. Sheâd tried multiple times to reach her sister and the hospital staff told her theyâd left a message for her as well, but when her arm had been x-rayed, set and casted with no response from her sister Yang knew she had to call someone else. Tai was in Patch so not an option. She couldnât stand the thought of facing Pyrrha again so soon, not just that she was embarrassed but also because then Pyrrha would know sheâd lied about speaking to Ruby in the first place. Her only other option was Blake. But seeing her normal calm demeanor so rattled told Yang she should have just waited for Ruby to return the call.
âAre you-â Blakeâs voice quavered before she set her jaw, turning to the nurse checking Yangâs vitals. âIs she alright?â
âIâm fine.â Yang answered when the nurse jumped back at the hard glare Blake directed at her.
âWhat happened?â
Yang dropped her head in shame and gave a small recap of the afternoon's events.
âA dare,â Blakeâs voice rose. Anger Yang had never heard resting behind her words. âYouâre like this-â she waved her hand at the cast covering Yangâs right arm from wrist to midway up her bicep âbecause of a d-â
Blake was unable to finish her sentence and Yang shifted uncomfortably under the heat of her enraged stare. The nurse slipped past Blake shooting a pitying look in Yangâs direction before exiting, mumbling something about discharge papers.
Blake filled out the paperwork, signing where they pointed and she held the clipboard so Yang could scribble a quick signature before they allowed Blake to take her. She was not family nor listed on Yangâs next of kin for emergencies. Yang briefly thought  that she might change it to include her while they were here. But the cold shoulder Blake was giving her told her she wouldnât appreciate the added time it would take in the hospital; nor would she likely enjoy the implication this would be a regular occurance.
Blake was gentle as she helped her off the bed. She collected Yangâs things silently, even helping her step into her shoes, socks still damp from her earlier escapades. Yang felt sorry for her. She had enough on her plate with her Thesis paper check in coming up. She didnât need to be wasting time because Yang was an idiot. They exited the hospital, Blakeâs phone to her ear calling a taxi..
For the first time in a long time Yang was uncomfortable with the lack of words spoken between them. Sheâd long ago learned to enjoy the quiet Blake provided. It was relaxing and comfortable to be able to be in her space without the expectation of conversation to fill the void. But now, Yang squirmed. This wasnât a comforting silence, it was a soul crushing quiet. But Yang didnât know what to say to break it. Not wanting to make the situation worse she wondered if it would be smart to let Blake break the silence once she was ready.
The taxi pulled up and Blake helped her in, careful not to jostle her injured arm. She leaned around her to secure her buckle before rushing around the car to slide into the seat beside her. Blake leaned forward to give Yangâs address to the driver and Yang desperately took that as permission the silence had ended.
âWe can drop you off first.â Yangâs voice was a raspy whisper. She slurred a little, a side effect of the painkillers theyâd given her.
Blake did not respond. She stared a moment at the blue sling holding Yangâs broken arm to her ribs before she turned to look out the window. Dismissing the driver upon arrival Yang cut Blake off saying she would cover the cost but realized sheâd left her money in her truck, which was probably parked at Pyrrhaâs now. Again Blake was gentle as she helped Yang to stand and make her way up the stairs to her and Rubyâs apartment. But Yang could feel in the way her touch didnât linger that she was still angry at the situation. At this rate all Yang wanted was to get to the apartment and release Blake from her duties as girlfriend so Blake wouldnât have to deal with her stupidity any longer that day. She would call her the next day and apologize. Hopefully Blake would accept.
Blake had different plans, however. When they entered the apartment and Yang mentioned her leaving, Blake rolled her eyes; the action resembling Weissâ exasperation. Yang resigned herself to her fate, regretting not allowing Pyrrha to follow her to the hospital. Embarrassment would be better than the cold shoulder she was receiving. Blake asked if she thought she could lay down but the pressure on Yangâs shoulder told her it would be a struggle for her to sleep. She said as much and Blake nodded, leading her to the couch and helping her sit. She disappeared a few moments, returning with some pillows and a blanket.
âIs this okay?â Blake asked, pressing the button to recline Yangâs seat.
Yang nodded, adjusting herself with her one good arm, hissing through her teeth as the movement jostled her casted arm. Blake jumped forward to help her find a comfortable position, placing a pillow at the small of her back. Yang sank into the comfort of the couch while Blake covered her waist and legs with the blanket sheâd taken from Yangâs bedroom.
âHowâs that?â Blakeâs voice was terse.
âAs good as itâs going to get.â Yang responded, closing her eyes and trying to relax. âThe sling is cutting into my shoulder but I will have to live with that for the near future.â
âIt shouldnât hurt.â
âItâs more annoying than painful.â Yang assured, not wanting Blake to worry or fuss any more over her. âIâm sorry I had to drag you from your thesis.â
âItâs fine.â
Blake shuffled to the side of the couch, pressing Yangâs shoulder to get her to lean forward a couple inches. Yang obeyed without hesitation. Soon the pressure on her shoulder released and Yang let out a shaky breath. Blake adjusted another strap and gently lifted Yangâs arm from her ribs, apologizing when Yang whimpered in pain. A pillow was placed under her arm. The release from the slingâs strap and the support from the pillow finally allowed the cramped muscles of Yangâs shoulder to release.
âThat better?â Blake asked.
âItâs official,â Yang responded, rolling her aching shoulder. âYouâre a witch.â
Blake hummed in response before she grabbed Yangâs keys off the table. She took a step towards the door before something stopped her. Yangâs eyes followed her as Blake made her way to the kitchen. Out of sight Yang heard the water in the tap running before Blake came back, setting the glass, condensation already building on itâs outer edges, on the table within easy reach of Yangâs good arm.
âIâll be back in a bit,â she said in her even tone.
âYou donât have-â
âYou need the painkillers they prescribed.â Blake held up a small white slip of paper.
Blakeâs voice usually excited her. She could be having the worst day imaginable but then she would call Blake and instantly have her voice relax and settle any of Yangâs negative emotions. Yang wished she could say something to make Blake smile or laugh. Hearing her laugh right now would heal her quicker than any medicine she was leaving to get. But she stayed silent as Blake walked out the door, locking it with Yangâs key behind her.
Expecting Blake to drop off the medication and leave, Yang was taken aback when she instead took up a spot perched on the other side of the couch when she returned twenty minutes later. Flicking through the channels Blake found some documentary about wolves before she reclined her own seat. The only words exchanged between them were Blake checking on Yangâs arm or asking if she needed anything. Yang, feeling guilt weigh on her conscience, always responded that she was fine and needed nothing.
Blake kept her water glass full and as the light outside the window waned sheâd made Yang a grilled cheese sandwich. something that was easy to eat with only one hand. Yang thanked her every time, feeling more and more like a burden. When Yangâs eyes started to droop and her head to nod Blake cast off her own small blanket and stood. With soft supportive hands she helped Yang up, telling her to go to bed. Blake followed a minute later, handing Yang a pill and a fresh glass of water.
âIf you donât take this now youâll wake up in pain later. You need your sleep.â
Yang agreed and swallowed the pill before trying to maneuver her shirt over her head to get into something more comfortable. Blake helped Yang out of her clothes and into a simple tank top and shorts when it was clear she was struggling.
âGet into bed. Iâll go get the pillows and blanket from the couch.â
Blake motioned for Yang to slip beneath the sheets. Not wanting to argue, or point out she could get into bed on her own, Yang simply slipped into bed as Blake lifted the sheet for her. Besides, she already proved there was little she was able to do with one hand and Yang knew it would take a little while for her to learn to do things with only her left arm. Blake returned and fluffed her pillows and gently spread the blanket over her before she crossed the room to turn off the lights.
âGood night.â Yang called weakly. She hated how heavy and stifling the silence between them had become. She knew once her head was clear of the anxiety and the worst of the painkillers she would have to form words and actions to make it up to Blake. But a simple âgood nightâ was all she could think to say before Blake left her for the night.
Instead of exiting the apartment after turning out the light Blake closed the bedroom door and made her way easily around the other side of the bed. Yang watched on, speechless as Blake shimmied out of her jeans and removed her bra from under her shirt. She slipped between the sheets and settled on the pillow beside Yang.
âYou really donât have to stay.â Yang whispered into the dark.
âYouâre such an idiot.â
Yang agreed, she was a complete idiot. Not able to refute the claim she remained quietly staring at the barely discernible tiles above. Her eyes slow to adjust in the darkness. The mattress dipped as Blake adjusted her position and it wasnât until her bare legs touched Yangâs, smooth and warm, that she realized she wasnât just turning over, she was getting closer. Blakeâs head pressed into her shoulder, her arm draped over Yangâs abdomen, careful not to disturb her casted arm. Yang was afraid to move. Blake was mad at her, wasnât she?
âBlake?â Yang croaked not understanding her sudden change in behaviour.
There was no response and Yang was just about to try again but then she felt Blakeâs body shudder against her. Yang froze, wondering what the spasm could mean. It happened again, and again. As Blake shifted, her face seeking refuge deeping in the crook of Yangâs neck she felt the cold dampness on her shoulder. The full realization that Blake was crying hit her like an elbow to her gut. Â
âNo. Blake. Whatâs wrong?â Yangâs soothing voice pleaded for answers. She hated seeing her like this.
Blake was always so strong and rarely showed moments of emotional stress. Her strength was something that drew Yang to her, and not having seen her in this state before terrified Yang. She had no experience on how to comfort her. Would she want to hear Yangâs voice? Did she want to be touched? Held? Or was leaving her to work through it the best route? The last option pained Yang and she knew she would never be able to sit there as Blake shook with grief beside her. She tried to reach for her but the shoulder Blake wasnât lying on was in the sling. Yang had many reasons to despise herself for her actions resulting in the cast, but not being able to hold and comfort Blake when she needed her was the worst punishment for her idiocy. Wrapping her good arm securely around Blakeâs shoulders Yang pulled her as close as she could. She whispered soothing things, hoping they reached her.
After a few moments Blake began to calm and still. Yang wanted to ask again what was wrong but knew as she settled Blake would understand Yang needed an answer. For several minutes all that could be heard was Blakeâs ragged breathing and Yangâs own heart beating rapidly.
âYouâre so stupid.â Was the first words whispered through broken sniffles.
âI know.â
âWhat makes you-â a hiccough wracked her body as she surged beside Yang. âWhat makes you think I could leave you a whole night when the twenty minute trip for your medicine nearly killed me?â Blake buried herself into Yangâs side more securely, pinning Yangâs legs down with one of her own. âI was so scared when I got that call.â
âI know.â Yang tried to calm her.
âYou donât!â Blake growled, anger returning.
Yang trailed her fingers along the warm skin at the back of Blakeâs arm. For the first time all night she thought of the situation being reversed, of her receiving a call from the hospital because Blake had been hurt. To learn the fear, the pain of the one she cared for, the panic was all avoidable if the other had just refrained from a stupid act. She would probably be angry as well.
âYouâre right. And Iâm so sorry, Blake.â Yang sighed in her defeat. âIt wonât happen again. I shouldnât have worried you. I could have waited for Ruby.â Realizing that she hadnât told Ruby to not go to the hospital she searched for her phone. âOh no, I forgot about Ruby.â
âI messaged her that you were home and okay but needed sleep. We probably wonât hear from her until the morning.â Blake relaxed into Yangâs warmth, soothed by her heartbeat and feel of her fingers drawing circles on her skin. âAnd this better not happen again. I donât know what I would do if I lost you.â
It was then that Yang realized this wasnât just about her being injured. She could have been killed and Blake knew it. Her mind continuing to work in reverse  and pictured Blake laying still in the hospital bed, machines beeping dangerously. She shook her head to rid her mind of both the sounds and sight of it. She couldnât bear it.
âI promise.â Yang said with all the conviction she could force into her tone. She nudged Blakeâs nose with her own, craning her neck painfully to do so, but she didnât care. When Blakeâs watery, muted amber eyes met hers she knew. She would do anything for the girl in her arms. âI promise you.â She repeated, pleading with her eyes for Blake to believe her. âI will never do something so foolish again. I couldnât stand to be away from you either. I can barely stand not being able to hold you properly right now.â
Blake chewed her words over on her own tongue.
âI want to be the first person you call if it does.â She finally spoke. I donât want to hear from my friend that my girlfriend was in the hospital. As stupid as you were today. I donât want Ruby to be the first one you think of calling.â
Yang was surprised but realized she felt the same. It would be horrible to learn Blake was hurt by Ruby telling her the story the next day. âOnly if Iâm your first call too.â
Blake nodded. Her eyes dropped to the cast then back to connect with Yangâs again. A few moments passed as Blake contemplated saying what was on her mind and Yang gave her the space and time to say whatever it was. She owed her that much at least.
âItâs your dominant hand.â Blake pointed out. Her seemingly out of the blue comment confused Yang. âThere are more activities besides holding me that you wonât be able to partake.â
âI guess weight lifting and basketball with Pyrrha are out, huh?â Yang groaned.
Blake nuzzled into Yangâs neck once more and Yang tightened her one-armed hold. If she couldnât use both she would make up for it with just the one then. It surprised her when she felt Blakeâs lips brushing her neck. She forged a featherlight path of kisses along Yangâs pulse and up to the hinge of her jaw. Suddenly Blake shifted, dipping her head to trace the same trail, this time with her tongue and wet, needy kisses. Yang gasped as Blake pulled Yangâs earlobe into her mouth, gently trapping it between her teeth before she released it with a âpopâ.
âI wasnât talking about any activity involving you and Pyrrha.â Blakeâs sultry whispers shot pleasure straight down Yangâs spine, a wanton need resting heavy at her navel.
âIâll just have to practice with my left then.â Yang smirked, enjoying the turn of events. Blake, always able to keep her on her toes.
Yang turned to kiss Blake but no sooner had she felt her oh-so-soft lips brush hers they were taken from her. Blake rolled over, back to Yang.
âNo.â She said in a steady voice. It was a tone that told Yang she was not playing; she meant business. âI think you can wait until your cast comes off.â
âThatâs ridic-â
âDoctor said six or eight weeks.â
Yang blanched. Although her and Blakeâs relationship was not, and had never been, solely based on physical needs theyâd never been separated in that capacity for more than a week since theyâd spent their first night together at Christmas. Even a week seemed an eternity when Blake returned to Menagerie for spring break.
âYou canât be serious.â Yang blurted, unable to imagine refraining for so long. She craved Blake in a way sheâd never known was possible until theyâd met.
âMaybe it will teach you a valuable lesson.â Blake said through a yawn.
âThat youâre-â
Blake rolled to look over her shoulder at Yang, eyebrow raised, challenging her to finish her sentence.
âThat IâmâŠ?â
Yang gave in. Sheâd been in the wrong. Sheâd scared Blake horribly just to get an ego boost that left her embarrassed to face Pyrrhaâs friends ever again. If Blake felt this was a worthy punishment then Yang would accept it with whatever grace she was capable of.
âThat youâre totally worth the wait.â Yang turned, fitting herself to Blakeâs back. Carefully lifting her arm she laid the cast against Blakeâs ribs like they had been to hers. She realized she was comfortable this way, Blakeâs body warmly supporting her arm like the pillow had on the couch. âIs this okay?â Yang didnât want Blake to be uncomfortable.
âIf it is for you.â
âNo sex doesnât mean no cuddles or kisses does it?â Yang asked for clarification.
âNo, Iâm not including those in the ban.â Blake smiled and Yang placed a kiss at the back of her neck as thanks.
âThen okay. Itâll be torture but Iâd wait forever for you so six weeks should be doable.â Able to relax fully now that she was comfortable, Blake in her arms, both of them safe, and the medication making her drowsy, she buried her face into the dark mass of Blakeâs hair. âAs long as i can have you in my arms thatâs all I need.â
Blakeâs steady breaths told Yang she was already asleep. Yang couldnât blame her. She must be as tired as Yang was. Remembering the frantic look in Blakeâs eye when she opened the curtain at the hospital told Yang sheâd used up most of her adrenaline reserves and the way she broke down crying proved how exhausted she was. Blake didnât break down like that.
Yang closed her eyes, grateful to have a girl as caring and amazing as Blake looking out for her

Five Injuries Hidden: Chapter Seven
Moving Forward
Moving forward was never easy when you were so set in your ways. But with help, maybe his friends could keep Jaune from moving backwards.
AO3 LINK
For a moment he simplyâŠ
Existed.
Drifted in that murky place between sleep and consciousness.
Jaune!
Breathed.
Yo...awake!
The world swam in a way he never thought it could, all blurred and rushed together. As ifâŠ
Was he underwater?
Jaune?
Nonono, Jaune, don't-!
Panic slammed into him like a speeding truck, and suddenly he was coughing and coughing he couldn't breathe where did the air go?!
Jaune, listen, please! Breathe with me okay? Feel that?" Something, someone, grabbed his cold hand with their own warm one, placing itâŠ. It onâŠ. On their chest? Taking deep, exaggerated breaths. "Yeah, that's me. That's it⊠that's it, just breathe Jaune. You're just fine, Jaune, just please breathâŠ"
Taking gulps of air, his weakened hand finally managed to grab hold of the person that was supporting him. The world finally, finally stopped swimming, revealing a darkened hospital room with his little brother's familiar brilliant, hazel eyes peering at him worriedly.
Quietly panting, Jaune furrowed his brows. Wh..what happened? Why was he in a hospital bed
And why did Oscar have that achingly familiar haunted look in his eyes as his gaze seemed to drink in the sight of his friend alive, not dead and dying and screaming, oh the screams-
"You almost died." Oscar suddenly answered, his voice wavering and shattering Jaune's thoughts. Something like anger flared in the boy's eyes, but⊠but, no, itâŠ. it ran deeper than that.
There was fear in his little brother's eyes.
Fear of loss.
Fear of losing his big brother.
Fear of losing him.
Jaune's heart shattered. Before he could offer anything, before he could even open his mouth, Oscar barreled on.
"You can't- you can't do that to me, to any of us! You idiot, did you even think of what you dying would do to your friends? To your family?!" Oscar ranted through the tears that threatened to stream down his face, voice catching and stumbling over the words.
Far from done, he stabbed a finger at his big brother. Jaune absently noted that Oscar's hand was shaking, the rest of his mind struggling to process everything else.
"Did you think that we wouldn't be devastated? That we would be better off without you?!" Oscar didn't even let Jaune answer, "Because we wouldn't!"
"We wouldn't," he repeated, panting, as if, if he had to make anything clear, it would be that. The righteous fury seemed to waver, his livid expression slowly crumbling into something far more vulnerable.
Oscar at this moment had never looked younger.
He hiccuped as he tried to fight the sobs that would not be stopped no matter how many times he went to scrub the tears away.
Sometimes it was easy for Jaune to forget that Oscar had just been thrown into this, and that he wasnât even old enough to really attend one of the academies. And honestly, with how everything was going and Ozpin on top of everything, who knew if Oscar would last that long. Or even be himself by then.
Every instinct screamed at Jaune to fix this, make this right, no matter what it took-
Oscar stiffened as he felt arms, familiar arms, weakly shift to hug him, before simply giving in to his tears and hugging Jaune back as tightly as he could without hurting him.
Too close.
That had been too closeâŠ
--------
Jaune had been thoroughly chewed out in the passing hours.
The poor nurses had all but given up at this point trying to enforce the rule of "one visitor at a time" as the others had stormed the room.
No one even dared try to stop Nora on a warpath. Not with that look in her cutting stormy sea eyes. Reports would say that lightning had crackled off of her as she raged at the bed-bound knight.
And those reports would be understating things.
Oscar looked smugly satisfied off in his corner as she all but physically shook her leader, hissing seething words and threats that if he ever pulled something like this again she would kill him if whatever else didn't first, revive him, and then kill him again.
No one had any doubt that she would follow through on those threats.
Her piece said, she wrapped Jaune up in a firm hug. Something silent passed between them, and Jaune buried his face into her shoulder.Â
And if his shoulders shook with finally released sobs, then nobody commented.
The others soon came in, all clamoring and scolding and all silently reassuring themselves that their friend was here and alive andâŠand while not necessarily okay, not yet, not by a long shot, he had the chance to become so.
And that's all they really could have asked for.
--------
Two weeks laterâŠ
"Jaune, I swear to the gods, if I find you on your feet without at least your crutches one more time-"
"But Rubyyyy, it's so boring sitting around all day!"
"Well then maybe next time donât tromp around for hours with a freaking iron rod sticking out of your leg!!â they heard Nora shriek.
Ren and Yang glanced at each other, Ren fondly rolling his eyes and shaking his head as Yang quietly snickered. Yep, things were, slowly but surely, going back to normal.
Qrow peeked out from the kitchen, looking mildly concerned but wholly unsurprised. "They at it again?"
Oscar groaned, burying his face into one of the throw pillows on the couch. "Jaune doesn't seem to understand that he almost lost a leg," he grumbled. "He shouldn't even be thinking of walking, let alone training."
"It is good to see our friend back to his old self again," Ren commented wryly.
A moment of heavy silence passed, memories of that first week forcing their way to the forefront of their mindsâŠ
...The less said about that week, the better.
"How long do you think it'll take for Jaune to try and secretly train again?" Yang asked as he forced a grin that looked almost genuine as he tried to break the grim silence that had fallen over them.
It seemed to have become a common thing as of late.
Yang snorted. "I give it an hour or two unsupervised."
Weiss ruefully shook her head, "Honestly, it is completely illogical to be pushing himself this hard right now."
"That's Jaune for you," Blake sighed, settling onto the couch beside Oscar.
Grumbling, Yang plopped down on the floor beside them, resting her back against the couch. "Has he always been this self sacrificing, or is this a new thing? Because I feel like he's either gotten worseâŠ. Or he's just gotten sloppy at hiding it."
"A mix of both, if I'm being perfectly honest."
The teens collectively glanced up to see Ruby returning from the knight's room. She shrugged, and continued, "It wasnât always this bad, but since the Fall..."
She crossed her arms, going for the look of ease to cover up that fact she was hugging herself at the memories dragging themselves to the surface. Memories of long, cold nights as her friend slaved away in training when he thought they couldnât see.Â
Memories of them finding their friend going hungry in those stretches of forest when there wasnât a village in sight, always passing up the food so they could be a little more full.
Jaune crying, screaming at Cinder from across the room, charging into a fight he couldnât possibly win...
Ruby mentally shook herself, dragging herself back from the depths of her memories. "...but yeah. He's definitely gotten worse since Beacon. And I guess that makes it a little harder to hide, the levels and extents he goes to now..."
There was a moment of silent agreement.
"We can't let this happen again," Oscar murmured into the yet again silent room.
No one needed clarification to what 'this' was.
"Yeah, but how are we supposed to stop him? Sloppy hiding or not, we still never suspected a thing until we found him almost dead." Yang replied, her frustration and fear and worry all spilling into her words unbidden.
Blake nudged her with a foot. "Well, this time we know to look for it. This time we're ready for him to do these sorts of things."
Ren gave a determined nod of agreement as he added, "I have been going over his behaviors and reactions over the last few months." His expression grew serious. "It appears that our friend has a very bad habit of avoiding medical checks."
"Not anymore." Ruby declared, her tone final, and her hands on her hips. "I don't care if it's a paper-cut, we will know about it after every mission⊠I am not going to lose another friend to these kinds of self-sacrificing stunts."
The others voiced their full-hearted agreements-
Thump!
Oh, not againâŠ.
"Jaune!" Nora yelped from the other room. âStay in the freaking bed, before I am forced to knock you out to make sure!â
Ren winced, and got smoothly to his feet. âI should probably check on that,â he said. Wouldnât want Nora injuring him in some misplaced sense of protection.
Jaune wasnât get hurt again on his watch.

RWBY Shattered Eye AU
(If you would like to make the AU into a comic I donât mind, just give me the credit for the AU)
     Volume 5 School Fight
After Cinder knocked Jaune to the floor she starts walking over to kill Weiss, but then notices an unconscious Ruby to her right then saying âEye for an eyeâ. She then lifts Ruby up with her right arm by the shoulder with her spear in her left hand. Jaune yells out a âNO!â but Cinder doesnât care. She slowly shoves the spear into Rubyâs right eye in order to make it as painful as possible. Yang cries out a âNO!â just before running to Cinder and tackling her which caused her to drop Ruby pretty hard onto the floor. During the moment of confusion Weiss, Qrow, Jaune go to keep Ruby alive while Nora, Ren and Ozpin/Oscar keep them protected from Mercury, Emerald and Hazel who are still trying to fight them. Meanwhile Yang is aggressively smashing Cinders head into the floor to a point where to fix it would require a landscaper as well. After Qrow realizes Ruby should be fine he goes over to Yang who is still pummeling Cinders face and manages to pull her off so he can check on her. Yang's face is filled with tears that are boiling as they fall, her hair is ready to basically explode at this point. Emerald helps Cinder up while Qrow calms Yang down to a point where she can think rationally enough to not lose her other arm.
At this point the fights are Qrow and Yang Vs Cinder and Emerald, Nora and Ozpin/Oscar Vs Mercury and Hazel. Jaune and Weiss are keeping Ruby alive as Jaune finds out he has his semblance.Â
While the chaos is happening Raven and Vernal who just watched all of this happen in about a minute decide to go down the elevator and see if they can get the relic without Cinder. Cinder notices them going down the elevator and lets Emerald know she is going down it. After Emerald covers Cinder as she disappears down the elevator shaft. Emerald, Mercury and Hazel move over to cover it and stop Qrow, Ozpin and the kids from getting in. Ruby has been moved to a safer corner and Weiss is now fighting again after getting her aura back.Â
In short things mostly proceed as normal, White fang is stopped, Yang gets the relic and Adam goes missing.Â
Blake walks in through the hole in the front, looks around and notices Yang and Weiss kneeling next to Ruby, but she isnât looking the same as she last saw her and it wasnât really the outfit. Then Blake realized that Ruby was bleeding from her right eye and ran over to check on her. After cleaning the blood out for a little bit the got her onto a more comfortable surface, 2 medics came in and got her onto a stretcher and started asking the basic questions like âWhat happend?â, âHow Long?â and so on. After which they began bringing her to a medical tent but stopped just outside in order to let the crowd clear. While they were stopped Yang brushed her left hand across Rubyâs hair to which Ruby then open her eyes weakly asking in pain âya-ng?â before passing out. While passing out she could hear Yangâs voice getting quieter until she was unconscious.
Between Volume 5 and Volume 6
Blinking weakly Ruby opened her eyes and winced from the pain across her body but mostly in her right eye. Looking around she noticed that her right eye was more blurry and had a fairly thick black line going through its middle, she still remembered what happened to her and how Yang saved her life. Yang! She needed to find Yang. After spending probably about 2 minutes getting out of bed because of the pain she managed to get to the door after realizing she was connected to an IV bag with water in it. After opening the door she looked down both ways, to her left was a door about a foot away and to her right was a hallway about 8 meters long with doors along the walls and lead into a living room. The noise from the talking kind of irritated her a little so she checked the door to her left which wasnât super quiet but didnât creak. Ruby wasnât exactly quiet with her entry and got the attention of Qrow and Ozpin who were in a conversation. Ozpin told Qrow could have some alone time and exited the garage. Qrow quickly got Ruby a chair as Yang stopped working on Bumblebee (her Motorcycle), grabbed a bag labeled Samples and helped Ruby sit as the asked her some basic questions like âAre you hungry? Are you hurting? Do you feel sick?â. Ruby answered âYes. Yes. No.â and so on. Her eye did start to bleed but Yang was quick to get it with a tissue. Ruby asked why she had a bag labeled Samples and was told that the medics found some kind of dust in her eye and asked for them to keep samples. After she stopped bleeding from her eye they had a hug which made Ruby a bit more happy and managed to make her smile a little, then she was helped up out of the garage and to a table for about 10 people and get her some food. While passing by everyone else they saw her and all felt a bit bad as Ruby went from zipping around to looking like a kitten with broken legs as she slightly limped and stumbled each step. She didnât even have much of a smile on her face, it even looked like moving kind of hurt her. Ruby did ask Yang how long she was asleep and Yang told her almost 2 days. Ruby then ask who changed her, which makes Qrow tell her âWe made a rule that guys aren't allowed to change your clothes for you.â and Yang also tells her that she did.
About 2 hours later at 9:00 am Taiyang knocks on the front door. Qrow answers and lets him in and he immediately asks were Ruby is. Qrow tells him and lets him know to be quiet as noise makes her uncomfortable.Â
Tai basically does what he did after The Fall of Beacon and asks if she wants anything. Ruby just says a hug and to be able to sleep which Tai then realizes that his precious Ruby isnât the same as she was before this happened which causes him to cry while hugging her. Ruby does ask if Zwei is okay and her lets her know that after her fight at haven Raven came back and is currently living with him as her tribe kinda got destroyed, and she is taking care of Zwei. After he leaves her be Yang comes in to give her a Hug and change her IV bag. Ruby then manages to go to sleep as her room is pretty nice. Sage green walls with dark brown floor trim, the floor is a nice soft wood. The room is 5 meters wide by 4 long parallel to the hall. Her bed is made with a sturdy wood and a comfy mattress, the sheets are a nice soft light brown cloth with about 1 ft of a fluffy material she likes to cuddle with and some soft pillows. Occasionally Yang, Blake and Weiss have peek in while she was doing it. Yangâs reaction was âShe is so cute like thatâ, Blakeâs was a warm smile, and Weiss was a mild blush. Everyone else reacted in their own way, Jaune and Ren saying âAs long as sheâs happyâ and Nora saying she knew it would work, Tai and Qrow just felt better knowing she could still be happy. On the left wall there is a window with a curtain that is mostly kept closed. Along the wall opposite side from her bed there are two 1 meter wide by 1 foot thick by 2 meter tall bookshelf's on opposite sides of the wall and a nightstand next to her bed with a lamp on it. She got up later for dinner, talked a little bit and goes back to her room to read a little and sleep. During the night she has a Nightmare and ends out screaming a little as she wakes up and then starts crying. Yang is in her room in a few second followed by Tai and Qrow, everyone else was to tired to get up at like 1 am. Yang, Qrow and Tai were all trying to calm her down from her nightmare. They did manage to calm her down and made sure someone was with her every night in case it happened again.
Throughout the rest of the 2 weeks every night she had a nightmare but was quickly comforted. Also every once in a while someone would check up on her and help her with something or just relax with her. Mainly it was the girls but occasionally Jaune or Ren would come in and give her some cookies or lunch. While the girls did their respective things with her, Yang would generally come in to help her shower, Blake would read with her, Weiss would explain what happened that day or cuddle with her as Ruby asked of her and Nora would help her with exercise. Ruby did get better throughout the week, even being able to walk around the house on her own in 5 days. Although Ruby wasnât allowed outside unless it was the backyard or she was with someone as she still couldnât really fight right now. Another 5 days later team RWBY went to a mall which is were Ruby got her present for Yang. Before leaving the blanket Ruby had is packed up because the blanket was actually bought by them for her.
     Volume 6
The train ride is mostly the same to the normal one, only difference is Ruby has a nap and a Nightmare but is comforted by Weiss. Weiss covers Ruby from a Grimm swipe, The train crashes and and Jinn explains what Ozpin hid from them WBY does get angry at him but Ruby tells her to knock it off and asks Ozpin if he hid it to protect them. He says yes and Ruby then explains that they have bigger problems then trying to kill each other like shelter and food. In the house where Weiss and Ruby just sleep together and Ruby doesnât have a Nightmare. During the well section Maria realizes that Rubyâs eyes are even stronger than they should be probably because her right one has less eye holding back the light. As they come through the cellar Qrow asks whats happening sounding more sober than normal as the Apathy slowly crawl out of the cellar, he then throws a few bottles at them with Weiss before running out of the house with Ruby and Weiss. They get to Argus without any incident. After everyone reunites they go to Saphronâs house, and relax while explaining what happened. After a little bit Saphron comes in and sits in one of the couches and then Ozpin explains that he did hide the truth from everyone, Jaune holds him against the wall and screams at Ozpin which causes Ruby to go into one of her Panic attacks, starting of with a scream and then intense crying and her right eye flashing a little bit. Everyone looks at Jaune and Ruby in a surprised look as Jaune is caught off guard by that and drops Ozpin letting him back off from Jaune whoâs in a startled state. Yang and Blake are next to Ruby in a second and Weiss is in about 2, and they start calming her down. Everyone else decides to give her some space as Yang, Blake and Weiss bring her upstairs to rest while Weiss watches over her. Jaune did get some dirty glares from Yang for like 5 seconds until she gets distracted by Blake nuzzling her to get her to stop. Terra then comes home as well with the child and sits down next to Saphron. Later when everyone is going out to get food Ruby and Weiss stay back in case of a Nightmare or Panic attack. They find Maria and learn about Rubyâs eyes and that they seem a lot stronger than they should be. Then they all have dinner. The next day they all go to the Atlas airfield gate and Cordovan she tells them Weiss and Ruby are allowed because Weiss because her father wants her back and Ruby because of the samples, but everyone else is not. After trying to see if they could make an exception Weiss has an idea and backs off and calls someone. Then Cordovan gets a call about 30 seconds after Weiss, Finishes and tells the team that they have one hour to get their things and be back, when they get back they pack their stuff as well as Qrowâs things. He comes back surprisingly not at all drunk. Ruby is somewhat happy but also really confused as to why. When they return to the airfield they are escorted to a small airship and flown to atlas. On the way there Ruby gives Yang the present which is a Gift card for Strawberry Sunrises, a cleaning kit for her arm, a new pair of sunglasses and a few tools that she can attach to her arm. Yang lets out a little laugh and hugs Ruby really hard to a point where she canât breath. Meanwhile Cinder did have her fight with Neo but she ran away from Cinder as the intense wind reminded her of how she failed Torchwick. Later Cinder finds Adam who has an airship and she explains that together they can destroy team RWBY and that on a specific date he will assassinate Ruby before she wakes up which will lower team moral and make Adams target (Blake) easier to get. Cinder will finally have Ruby dead and more maiden powers. He agrees and lets her on as they head for Mantle.
Team RWBY and JNR was well as Qrow and Ozpin/Oscar land at atlas and are greeted by Penny, Ironwood and Winter who thanks Weiss for calling her rather than doing something reckless. Penny lightly tackles Ruby and then notices the scar in her right eye. Ruby tells her its fine and that she doesnât want to talk about it but Weiss will fill her in, which Weiss agrees too. Ironwood somewhat loudly goes âYOUâRE SOBER?!â to which Qrow replies yes and lets him know about Ruby and noises as she is noticeably uncomfortable. Winter is absolutely caught off guard by Qrow being sober and just jaw dropped. The Ace ops watch from a little ways away glad they are having some fun and then introduce themselves.
     Volume 7
Weiss went to catch Ironwood, Winter and Penny up on what happened, Jaune, Ren and Nora went for training, Yang went with Maria for tuning for Mariaâs eyes and Yangâs arm and Ruby went with Blake to the lab where they took the samples and explained that they may be able to make lights that kill Grimm making cities a lot safer and so they also take a blood test as the samples are dried up by this point. Blake stayed by Ruby in case she had a panic attack as she knew what to do unlike the scientists. Luckily she didnât have one and managed the appointment pretty well and even got a lollipop and a cookie. Then everyone met back up. After learning about the Amity Project they got their new outfits and weapon updates and to learn about Ironwoods plan. Then they help clear out the launch site and then are shown their dorms. Next they have the training montage and get their licenses. Everyone ends out going to the Movies or to the voting party and it goes as normally until Tyrian attacks. Penny fires her swords at him and then loses him in the crowd and then hears Ruby yell something before it goes quiet and the light come back on. Everyone sees the swords but also notice none of them a bloody or correctly aligned to hit any of the dead bodies correctly to kill them. Then Penny realizes Ruby is missing...
Meanwhile many blocks away Ruby is tied up in a chair while Watts and Tyrian are talking about the how the plan went well and other things. After a little bit Watts Unties one of Rubyâs hands after setting up a chess board and asks if she wants to play. She accepts and they constantly tie. Watts is impressed and even Tyrian is interested in the game while still absolutely confused on what they are doing.Â
Afterwards they manage to sleep until Ruby gets woken up by the riot and a Nightmare. Tyrian yells at her to shut up and gives her a small cut with the non poisonous part of his tail which makes it worse and Watts tells him its time to leave. Back in atlas about 2 hours ago Yang, Blake and Weiss got to their bunks but noticed Ruby wasnât there but assumed she was helping Penny with something until Ren and Nora burst into the room and tell them Rubyâs been kidnapped which Yang almost doesnât even take an airship down to Mantle. After about an hour and a half they go back miserably and sit there still in their huntress outfits for a few minutes and then they get a call, âWe found her. While getting out of an abandoned basement they were spotted by protesters as they have Wanted and Warning signs everywhere and so a squad of robots looked over at them and start sprinting towards them as the start running down the alleywayâ. After about 10 minutes of running while Ruby is bawling her eyes out, an airship pops in front of them and the speaker says: âPut your hands up!â to which they decide to ditch Ruby so Tyrian just dropped her on the ground pretty hard which isnât helping with her bawling. The squad of robots and the airship chases after them. Ruby is still just bawling her eyes out which are starting to flash. Another airship lands on the street and Yang, Blake and Weiss hop out and run over to her. When they get to her they immediately start to try and calm her as Blake cut the ropes but Ruby was still bawling her eyes out and had even started soaking her clothes. After about 5 minutes of hugging, head rubbing, even a few kisses and a lot of tears she finally was able to be moved to the airship and explain while sobbing what happened as Yang texts it to Qrow. Meanwhile Qrow, Ozpin/Oscar and Ironwood are having a little break and Qrow is offered a bottle and he only has a little bit. Then he is asked why he isnât drinking as much to which he explains that he feels that he was to drunk to keep Ruby safe and that it might get her or him killed and would make her and Summer happy. Then he gets a text from Yang explaining that they have her and what happened as well as that she isnât badly hurt but was bawling her eyes. He nearly dropped the scroll as Ozpin decides to ask what is it and Qrow tells them shocking them. Back with team Ruby, she is still mostly sobbing but not as bad so Yang tugs her along while she cries into Yangs shoulder, Weiss hugging her from behind and Blake up ahead just telling people to give her some space as they are getting notifications that Ruby is no longer missing. After getting to their dorm and calming Ruby down to just tears, Penny comes in knowing its been a bit over 2 hours since she disappeared. Penny is shocked that Ruby is crying as she has never seen Ruby cry before. She asks Ruby is she is okay and she replies âYeah... Sorry I scared you.â and then hugs Penny who returns it telling her she is a good friend. After Penny leaves Ruby is asked if she wants anything and she says: âMaybe to sleep all together?â to which they accept her request and start unfolding the couch into a bed. (In this AU teams have separate rooms) After changing into night clothes they go to sleep on the bed. (If you are curious this is the order from left to right: Weiss, Ruby, Yang, Blake.)
In the morning around 6:30 Yang woke up got out of bed easily since Blake had curled up on the bed, and started making some breakfast. Some PB&Js with milk and cookies for Ruby who was still asleep as Blake started to wake up. Then turning back to what she was doing yang then sees Adam and stumbles back ready for an attack that never comes as there is no one there. Blake rushes to Yang's side and asks why she is blocking from nothing to which she explains she thought she saw Adam and that he is out there still. Blake listens and then looks at Weiss who is waking up then jokes âMorning princessâ to which Weiss doesnât really care as she is being held onto by a sleeping Ruby. They all look at her smiling as she hasnât been in a really great mood since haven, and then Ruby mumbles something along the lines of âWe-iss... love... youuu...â which causes everyone to look quite surprised. About 3 minutes later Ruby wakes up and realizes she was holding Weiss and quickly lets go with her face going red and asks if she heard anything while she was asleep to which a blushing Weiss replies âN-o... yesâ causing Rubyâs face to go very very red. Yang is basically dying laughing at this point and Blake is getting ready for CPR as Yang is laughing, choking and wheezing heavily. After they calm down without Yang needing CPR they have their breakfast and check their scrolls to see they have been given a day off and literally canât do any missions today. So they just relax with the time they have like spending some time in the pool, going to the arcade, Even going to the library which Ruby finds a really good book that is like 10 inches wide which impresses Blake, they even play a little bit of tag and a few other activities. At some point they find Penny and have a chat with her and Winter. After that they go to a club that is fine with faunas and okay for Ruby (It isnât loud enough to cause a panic attack). Then they head back to the bunks to which Ruby climbs onto her bed and immediately falls asleep. Later they had dinner with nothing really happening.
Early in the next morning at about 6:55 Adam is waiting in the hall waiting for 7:00 as that is when the doors open and the cameras to turn off. Just as they turn off and the door unlocks he heads inside, but someone sees him enter. As he grabs a wooden box to stand on so he makes sure its a kill, gets on it raises the knife above Rubyâs chest and brought it down. âHey!â while bringing down the knife it misses her heart and goes into her stomach, Weiss kicks his legs out from under him and he hits the floor hard and Penny starts disarming and arresting Adam. Weiss is now trying to get the knife out of Rubyâs stomach while Yang helps Penny with arresting Adam. Blake is still waking up from her dream about cat nip or something I donât know. After getting the knife out of Ruby, Adam was arrested and put into a cell with his weapon in another secure room. Later around noon Ruby and Weiss have a walk in a park and end out sitting on one of the benches under a tree. Weiss asks if Ruby did love her to which Ruby replies yes and then kisses Weiss on the cheek, Weiss then returns the kiss but on the lips for a few seconds before breaking off. Both are blushing very hard as Yang and Blake then come around the tree and go âCongrats!â to which Ruby yelps in surprise âYANG! I thought you were on a date with Blake!â to which Yang just replies âYes but we also went hereâ.Â
The rest of the time is of training and dating. Everyone thinks Weiss and Ruby are very cute together even Qrow. Not much really happens for a while.
When they are invited to the Schnee manor not much really changes other that Bumblebee and WhiteRose flirting with their partners. Jacques gets arrested, Tyrian gets arrested, Watts getts messed up and RWBY + JNR + Ace ops are saving civilians, team RWBY gets called up to atlas to talk to Ironwood a little bit before Ace ops are finished up. While getting to atlas Cinder frees Adam and arms him and reminds him of what to do before she heads to the winter maiden. While running down the hall Adam is waiting behind a pillar for Ruby who is at the front, then comes past the pillar after seeing something red looks over and sees Adam with his sword raised and all she can do is block with her arm and- He cut right through her left arm (at just about past the elbow) which made her cry in pain as he front-flipped outta that convenient window. Ruby is now on the floor bleed badly and Yang is trying to stop the bleeding and Weiss is trying to calm he down the the blood flow isnât as bad while Blake makes sure he isnât coming back as he slides down until she canât see him any more. She then check on Ruby who is still crying in pain but not as bad, Yang tells her to get some help. So Blake runs down the hall to the medical wing where some doctors are working with scientists on her blood samples and the dust that has been extracted, opens the doors and tells them Ruby lost her arm and one of them grabs a kit Blake sees is labeled Ruby and asks where as she shows them. By now Yang has Ruby's head on her thighs while calming her down and Weiss is still trying to stop the blood dribbling out of her arm. The doctor put some bandages that are really absorbent on the wound before spraying some antibacterial spray on it. Then with the kit open Blake, Yang and Weiss could see that it had 4 small and large joint pieces and 2 forearm, leg, thigh and upper arm parts so they were ready for something like this. After putting on the arm they gave her a blood injection so she wouldnât pass out. After about 15 minutes they managed to get to Ironwoods office with Ace ops, who didnât really care about Rubyâs arm to much. After Ironwood shows the black glass thingy Salem then does her thing and when telling Ruby about what her mother said Ruby then replies angrily âWell Iâm angry. Meaning I will rip your legs off if and drag you to hell myself I have toâ which shocks everyone including Salem who just ends the conversation. Then Ironwood explains that he is abandoning Mantle and declaring Martial law to which Ruby then tells JNR + Ozpin and Qrow + Robin about Ironwoods plan before he cuts her connection and after their one liners he pulls out his gun and shoots her in the chest breaking her aura. Yang attempts to hit him back but is deflected. After Ironwood leaves and the airship Qrow, Robin, Clover and Tyrian are in crashes the Ruby does her one liner and zips past the Ace ops. The fights go as per normal until the end where Tyrian is standing over clover ready to kill him until Qrow jams Harbinger through Tyrian who laughs like he does and then passes out from blood loss, and Qrow flops onto the snow from exhaustion and is arrested by Cloverâs reinforcements. Weiss, Yang and Blake's fights end normally but Harriet manages to start choke holding Ruby as the rest of her team is ready to help her. Ruby then smashes Harrietâs foot with hers and then backs up into the wall, uses her semblance to get out of her grasp, Kicks her in the stomach and then full force punches her in the face with the robot arm slamming Harriet into the wall. Harriet is completely unconscious and Yang canât help but be proud and a little scared of Ruby. Then Yang and Blake go to the airship while Ruby and Weiss go to find the winter maiden, find Cinder and Ruby uses her eyes on her. Penny becomes the winter maiden, Winter gives them a head start, Oscar learns how use his semblance, Ironwood gets mad and Salem is here.
To be continued...
I would continue but am now waiting for Volume 8 to be released so I can stay somewhat on track with the story and location(s)...

Fun Times #1
*Atlas Academy, Recreation Room*
The RWBYNOR group have been experiencing a problem that many Huntsmen experience from time to time....boredom. They had no missions as of late and everything else was pretty much run of the mill errands to do. Something that they all either didnât want to do or found too tame. The door to the rec room opens and comes in Jaune Arc with frizzed hair and a âSTOPâ sign he got from his babysit- er, primary school voluntary work. He took a look at the room around him and found a spot to sit at on the end of a couch, in between RWBY and NOR. He sat down and sets the sign on his lap.
Yang: ....Ok Iâll bite, what happened to you Vomit Boy? Did those kids become rascals and tried to climb you like a tree?
Jaune: Pff, I wish, the kids were fine. Itâs the mothers of those kids that I had to ward off.
Ruby: Wait what? Those ladies are still giving you trouble?
Jaune: (Rubs his face) No, itâs not that, theyâre actually very friendly. A bit too friendly. I swear I had so many of them trying to âthank meâ for taking care of their kids that itâs really starting to get on my nerves. I think Iâve been given so many casseroles from Mrs. Lars that itâs starting to pile up in the fridge faster than we can get rid of.
Ruby: Well have you tried I donât know......telling them to back off or that youâre not interested in their advances.
Jaune: Iâve thought about doing that but Iâm worried that if I do that and they take it the wrong way, or maybe they arenât trying to flirt with me and were just trying to be nice in a over friendly way and theyâll look at me like Iâm the one getting the wrong idea.
Nora: Mmm. Thatâs a good point, a lot of ways they could spin it to make it seem youâre the bad guy. Thirsty moms are a scary thing.
Ruby:(Murmurs) Iâll give 'em something to be scared about....
Jaune: What was that Ruby?
Ruby: What? I didnât say anything. I was....thinking about that casserole that you mentioned. Iâm gonna go get some! (Saying the last statement very tightly then left for the kitchen)
Oscar: So, Iâm gonna assume weâre going to be having casserole again for dinner?
Nora: Looks like it. I gotta say, I loved the idea of you getting more attention from the ladies because of the new haircut, but now itâs starting to become old. I miss eating other food!
Blake: Maybe we can go out somewhere to eat so that we have something to do.
Weiss: Actually that does remind me of something. Winter said that the academy was going to be holding a ceremony for a class reunion for older Atlas graduates that sheâs going to be attending this evening. Perhaps we can go there.
Oscar: Wouldnât you all need clearance for that from Ironwood?
Weiss: Nonsense, the event is open to all the Atlas students and hunters, besides it more of a formality for old friends to reacquaint with old peers.
Blake: Well that could be fun. What do you think Yang? ....Yang?
She turned to see that her partner was locked on to her scroll and was having a content smile. Yang looked to be texting someone when all of a sudden she feels a nudge on her shoulder. Yang looks away from the screen and sees everyoneâs eyes looking at her inquisitively.
Yang: (Closes her scroll) Haha! Sorry guys you were saying?
Nora: Well.~ You seemed in a good mood, who were you texting?
Yang: Hmm. Oh! I was just reading a message from a pen pal of sorts.
Weiss: Pen pal? I wasnât aware you had kept in contact with any social relationships outside the rest of us.
Yang: Well Weisscream, Iâm sorry to disappoint but I do have a life outside of you all and saving the world. Plus you canât tell me talking to the same people everyday doesnât sometimes get on your nerves.
Weiss: Hmm. Fair point. So who are they?
Yang: Oh theyâre called Nunya.
Weiss: âNunyaâ? Thatâs a interesting name.
Yang: Yeah and their full name is Nunya Business!
Weiss: What kind of name is.....Hey wait a minute!
The other remaining friends starts to laugh at the expense of former heiress. While on of the more intellectual of the group, slang was still foreign to her.
Weiss: Alright! Alright! I get that I walked myself into that one. Sense you are not willing to reveal the identity of your friend Xiao-Long, I will not pry any more.
Yang: Great. Glad to hear Weisscream. Now if youâll excuse me Iâm gonna go to the dorm.
Blake: Youâre not going to the ceremony with us?
Yang: Sorry Blakey but Iâm gonna be flying solo tonight. Miss me too much you guys!~
With that Yang left the rec room and was out of sight from the group.
Jaune: Well sense sheâs gonna be doing her own thing, maybe we should try going out someplace fun. Be nice to spend with people my age than moms and kids. By the way is Ruby back yet? Sheâs been in the kitchen for awhile.
Ren: Iâll check. (Walks from couch to rec room Kitchen) Ruby were you able to-
Ruby is seen looking at a burning pile of what smelt of casseroles in a trash bin. She looks at Ren and they make eye contact for a brief moment before he slowly backtracked his steps and made his way back to the couch.
Ren: Just checked with Ruby, turns out weâre out of casserole. Went bad.
Jaune: Dang it! I knew we wouldnât be able to finish them before they spoiled.
Ruby:(Coming back from kitchen) Welp! Since weâre out of food, I vote we go do something fun! Maybe we could get Penny to join along.
Weiss: I think she maybe too busy attending the ceremony with Winter as sheâs a Atlas representative.
Ruby: Oooohhh yeah. Bummer.
Jaune: Hey Ruby how about we all go see that new movie that weâve been seeing on the posters lately?
Oscar: Can I come along?
Ruby: Oh, sure I donât see why not? Jaune?
Jaune: Yeah thatâs sounds good the more the merrier!
Oscar: Yes!
Nora: Well you can count us in too! Beats going to a snore fest like a social event. (Grabs Ren and wrapped her arm around him)
Weiss: Well I guess that just leaves you and me Blake.
Blake: You know actually I noticed that the Atlas library had a book that really seemed interesting to read-!
Weiss:(Grabbing her via summon arm) Oh no you donât! I refuse to attend this event by myself, and youâre the only one singled out by everyone here. So dare try to weasel your way out of this!
Blake: But-! Books!
Weiss: (Dragging her friend to the exit of the rec room exit) They arenât going to grow legs and run away, theyâll be there when we return.
Blake:(Whimpers)
Soon both W and B of team of their group left the rec room leaving only five of the eight friends by themselves.
Jaune: Guess that just leaves us. Kinda funny, this may be one of the first times weâve had a chance to hang out as team RNJR.
Ruby: Wait really?! ....oh yeah! Oh thisâll be great then, this will be just like when we had time to relax during our time in Anima!
Nora: Oh yeah Team RNJR is back baby! Wait a minute, we have Oscar with us so that does kind of chance the name a bit.
Ren: So what should we call this arrangement then?
Nora:Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Jaune: Guys we donât need necessarily a new name for the group, weâre just going to see a movie, not fight a final boss Grimm.
Ruby: Besides, itâs just like Jaune said, doesnât matter what weâre called. As long as weâre together. (Smiles)
Nora: Yeah youâre right. Iâll think of something later. Anyway letâs make this night a killer!
Ruby/Jaune: Yeah!
Ren/Oscar: Yeah.
*RWBY Dormitory*
Yang entered the room and sighed. That was a close one, she almost didnât think they would let her leave that easily. Before she could think about the matter further she felt her scroll vibrate as her friend had messaged her once more. She opened the scroll to view the message.
White_Knight: Are you still up for tonight? I didnât rush you too soon did I?
White_Knight: I could always reschedule!
Sun_Dragon: Nah . Youâre good, just my friend was trying to be nosey.
Sun_Dragon: Anyway, you still want to go see that new horror flick thatâs out now? Heard itâs supposed to be intense.
White_Knight: Most definitely. Iâve reserved private seats for us on top where we wonât have anyone being ânoseyâ as you say it.
Sun_Dragon: Really?! Dang I thought reserving a seat was hella expensive on primere night!
White_Knight: Never to fear, I have good connections so the seats are very much legit.
Sun_Dragon: ....bet?
White_Knight: On everything.
Sun_Dragon: Geez Knight, keep tryinâ to impress me and you might get yourself a girlfriend by the end of the night cutie~ ;-)
White_Knight: I like to impress my dear. But letâs keep it slow before we start talking about relationships. Or you might come off as desperate ;-)
Sun_Dragon: Ok see you tonight <3
White_Knight: Canât wait! <3
Yang smiled after the chat with her pen pal. She originally started talking to Knight after download Instaspam on her scroll when she took that selfie with Blake. Originally she got a lot of likes for how the two looked like a cute lesbian couple but she put a plug on that real quick. While she and Blake weâre getting back to better times, she wasnât really interested in starting a full on relationship with her partner. Kind of brought bad thoughts about her own family dynamic so that was a no-no. Of course she did lose a few subs for the apparent âqueer baitingâ from some of the ruder people on the app, but others were actually glad that she made the clarification early on so that people wouldnât make inaccurate assumptions.
It was actually how she met Knight, through a personal message saying how brave she was to tell the truth and not to take the fake friends words seriously. Yang was a bit suprised about the message so she thanked him later and one thing lead to another and they were talking almost everyday whenever she wasnât on missions. She got a look at his profile and it looked like he was a music enthusiast and played multiple instruments like the piano and violin. She of course teased him of being a nerd for apparently liking classical music for being a young man. However to her suprise he sent her a link to one of his tracks of his music and while not of fan of classical, he was very good at playing piano covers. He didnât have a profile picture so she asked if she could send her a picture, she had to be sure he wasnât a creepy old man or something. To her suprise he did send a picture. Granted he was wearing a hat and a pair of glasses but he definitely looked young. Maybe a bit too young. She was a bit uncomfortable about this little tidbit about Knight, but she knew he was definitely only two years younger than her.
Yangâs sisterly instinct was too let Knight know that he shouldnât try to flirt with girls older than him but the more she thought about it....it couldnât be that bad. They stayed only as friends and besides casual teasing it wasnât anything excessive that would send people the wrong message. So she kept in contact with him. Besides her own sister had a massive crush on a guy two years her senior so it wasnât that bad. Besides Knight was a nice guy, always polite, never vulgar or tried to ask for body shots of her. What really got her was his respect for women. He apparently had a family mostly consisting of women so that put some insight. So Yang was very glad that Knight didnât turn out to be a creep. Who knows, maybe she might give him a reward if this first outing goes smoothly.
Yang: Guess Iâll see you tonight Mr. Knight.~
*Schnee Manor*
Whitley has been rereading the chat for the past two minutes and couldnât believe how far Sun_Dragon and him have come from complete strangers to good friends. He originally gotten Instaspam as a way to entertain himself and share his musical taste to other musical enthusiasts. When one of his recommended came up one day and he saw a picture that immediately took his breath away. That was when first was introduced to Sun_Dragon. He saw at the time how people were bashing her for the honestly miss assumptions about her relationship with a friend. He couldnât believe how others could be so ignorant and uncouth behavior they were treating the poor dear. He normally doesnât try to engage in these types of topics but he knew he needed to say something that would let her know that not everyone was like these wolves who just enjoyed to harass her. From their their interactions developed then blossomed into the first genuine relationship heâs ever had.
Truthfully if he had to say, Sun_Dragon may have been his only friend. A friend that he had grown especially fond of. Whitley tried to reason that he was only had a small crush because of her majestic beauty, but soon he began to realize that he found everything about her wonderful, her personality, her casual attude and her plain honesty she told. He had never met a more genuine person than Sun_Dragon. The only problem he was worried about was if his age had worried her some, because being a underage minor made some who were female admirers scared off because of fear of being called a pedophile. However she seemed not too worried about the age gap as she was only two years older than him. That made his whole day when she told him that. Whitley was content for the most part with the screen conversations they had but soon he desired to step up the pace, to meet in person. Whitley was sure she would turn down his advances but surprisingly Sun_Dragon favored the idea as well and now brought him to this moment. In a mere few hours he will meet the woman of his dreams. So naturally he only had one response.
Whitley: YES!!! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes yes, yes! Whitley youâre a genius! Oh my gods! Thank you! Oh......this is officially the best day of my life.
So yes, he was excited.
*Trying something different just a bit of a side story, not canon to anything just a spoof or omake if you will. More for comedy than anything. Hope you all enjoy!*

RWBY V7 - OP
RWBY is back! I missed this show and its characters so much and the first episode was just what I needed after a weird past month.
Donât read this if you havenât watched the first episode since the OP spoils some things!
With that said, letâs do this!
This is half liveblog, half added notes after the fact (marked with a ***) since I had some time to think about it.
Oooh, Blake's hair looks a lot shorter and Weiss's dress looks different.
Did Jaune get a haircut?
They are all still facing forward, still a team!
Taking out her hoodie, same as V4 (but this time intentionally?)
*** At the time I wrote
I included the gif because I feel Rubyâs sudden change from smiling with her eyes closed to startled by the wind and then turning to her new team is basically her character development after last season. She was blind/sleeping due to her optimism, everything ended up turning to hell âshaking her awakeâ and now JNR is the team who has her back, not WBY.
In V4 her âawakeningâ was sudden and involuntary. Now sheâs choosing to face whatâs coming, whatever that is.
Very clearly centered around Atlas rather than Mantle.
Grimm dissolve that way... Pyrrha did too. Hmm.
Magical girl transformations!
An overall with convertible pants? Uhm. Okay.
I love the short hair! Maaaybe too many zippers. The weapon being repaired with a golden colored makes me think of Yang and how japanese repair things with gold * googles *, kintsugi.
kintsugi can be seen to have similarities to the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, an embracing of the flawed or imperfect.
highlighting the cracks and repairs as simply an event in the life of an object rather than allowing its service to end at the time of its damage or breakage
Incredibly appropriate for Blake (and everyone, really) since she had to rebuild herself.
I didn't like Weiss' "new" dress so any change would have been welcome but this is really good. She went from "incredibly out of place rich girl" to a proper huntress.
I'm not sure how much her outfit changed (she has sleeves!) but I _love_ her hair.
I could have bet this was a reference to Ozpin standing in a similar manner in one of the first openings but I just checked and while there's a similar shot in V2's OP it's just Ozpin standing in space.
I hate that muscle tee with all my being. I wonder what's that dude with the painted face's deal. Props to the character design team for the muscular woman in the back, considering everything they do, she's probably the most realistic looking character in the show.
Welp, they are compromised by Watts. And apparently he's manipulating the election, but whose side is he helping?
- After rewatching, I doubt they are traitors but I think they are probably going to end up being manipulated by Watts into doing something.
Why does he look so guilty!? Who did he shoot!?
The more I see it the more I like Weiss's new dress.
Is Weiss finally going to stop looking up to Winter (ending her "I need to go look for Winter" quest from V4)?
Oh no... what did you do Jaune
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
*** I wonder why sheâs so isolated from everyone else. Even in the group shot at the end she appears farther away than Oscar (but closer than Qrow). Hmm.
These two also got major upgrades! The ugly gradient that Ren's sleeve had is gooooone. And Nora looks more grown up with that jacket, it feels like they are really growing up into their status as (non-authorized) huntresses and huntsmen.
I'm curious about the blue in Nora's outfit. Everyone else seems to maintain their previous colors... although I guess Nora's V1-V3's outfit did have a bit of blue in her corset.
I wonder if the fact she's wearing the trans flag colors means anything.
His hair doesn't look so bad up-close, but I think it's too "busy" for his hair color.
Ooh, hard-light dust shield!
Does this mean that Jacques is manipulating Ironwood? Last time we saw them he was pretty against everything Ironwood was proposing... unless that was his plan? Manipulate him by reverse psychology? Uhm.
They are training! Does this mean they are going to be found by Ironwood sooner rather than later?
I wonder what's going to be the end goal this season. As many problems as there seem to be in Atlas, their mission was to give the lamp to Ironwood and he looks to be in amicable terms with Oscar earlier in the OP so... what's next?
How is the election plot going to intersect with RWBY and co.? Watts is seemingly manipulating everything from the shadows so that would probably make him their problem but my imagination is failing to integrate the election itself in a way that would make sense to everyone.
I can maybe see Watts and Tyrian sabotaging Hill to get the "Tycoon" elected (hopefully not Jacques but probably him since no one else that could fit appeared in the OP) but I have no idea why other than to maybe cause another Fall of Beacon with social unrest.
Maybe Ironwood goes all "I _am_ the council" and everyone has to escape with the relics with the help of Hill (which is why she's shown fighting Tyrian)? Maybe they discover Watt's plot and no one believes them? Nah, maybe in their school days but they have proved themselves.
It's interesting that after watching the V6 opening I felt more or less sure of how the story was going to go (even if I ended up being wrong about a lot of things) but with this one I have no idea. There are a lot of pieces but I'm not sure how they the fit together.
For example, what does this parallel mean? Are they facing similar problems? Similar pasts? Do they regret having to do whatever they have to do? Is it even intentional?
In any case all these questions are great, they make me want to watch the rest of the season even more!
Until next time!
PS: There was no moon this OP, so my moon theory from last season just went up in flames unless everyone goes their own way for some reason.
P.S: The first episode is up on Discord

Welcome to the Chapter 6 review, everyone! Where everything is nice and happy and full of sugar and rainbows! Sure we got stuff like Jaques being horrible and Mantle breaking out into a riot, but hey! Itâll be fine! EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE! So letâs discuss all the happy things, okay? Okay!
Overview
Itâs Election Day, and while the riots have calmed down, things in Mantle are still tense. While Robyn doesnât condone the violence, she does encourage those who support her to take that anger and use it in the polls. Indeed, it seems that she already has the lead over Jaques Schnee and a large amount of support behind her. Up in Atlas, the kids are training more when Ironwood comes in. The gang tries to convince him that maybe working with Robyn will help with the cause, but the general is uncertain and unconvinced that sheâll be willing. Either way, he grants the kids a night off. After all, itâs going to be a new Atlas the next morning, and they need to be up and ready to face whatever happens.
Everyone divides off. Blake and Yang are going to a dance club with Team FNKI, Weiss is going with Jaune and Oscar to the movies, and Ruby, Ren, and Nora are going to a victory party for Robyn in Mantle. As they walk, they talk about how this seems⊠well, too soon, but Nora says that they should have something certain to hold onto. Ruby agrees, especially since when Amity Arena goes online nothingâs going to be certain anymore. Sheâs still concerned about how Salem canât be beaten is about to be common knowledge, even when Nora suggests that Jinn only said that Oz couldnât, so there could still be a way. Ruby in uncertain though and Ren is clearly on edge due to them running out of time. He even gets worked up at Nora, which only makes Ruby feel more conflicted about whatâs coming.
The trio arrives at the party location, but it isnât joyous as Ren and Nora are bickering due to Renâs more closed-up attitude that he wonât talk to Nora about. Ruby is uninterested in relationship drama and goes to hang out with Penny, who is handling security detail along with Marrow. The Happy Huntresses arenât very happy about that since⊠well, theyâre there for that and donât want any Atlas personnel around. Robynâs more open about it though since sheâs going to have to work with them when she becomes councilwoman. We get a nice talk with them about how Robyn works outside the law and despite what she says, doesnât exactly do things legally so Marrow is suspicious of her. But Robyn points out that the law isnât perfect nor exactly equal, a fact that Marrow can agree with due to his Faunus status. Nevertheless, he wants to act within the law, while Robyn is more than willing to go outside of it to do what she feels is right.
With the polls getting ready to close, Fiona has Robyn get up and give her final speech. Rubyâs forced to be on her own since Penny has to focus on the job, and the Renora pair are still bickering. So she joins the crowd and listens as Robyn speaks of how despite never planning to get into politics, she thanks the people for choosing her and swears that whether she wins or loses, she will continue to fight for the betterment of the city and its people. But as the polls enter the final minute, it seems that Jaques is quickly catching up and while her girls encourage her, Robyn looks worried.Â
The speech was enough to cool Nora down, but Ren is still tense. Nora pleads with him to just tell her whatâs going on, and itâs clear that the young man is conflicted. He says that heâs never been good at talking, which is true, but Nora decides âscrew talkingâ. And thus my friends, we get something that we have been waiting for for so, SO long. Nora pulls Ren over⊠and full-on kisses him. Ren is shocked at first, but he quickly melts into it and relaxes. All while this really nice song that kinda makes me think fo New Years sung by Casey and another singer by Santi C plays in the background. This was a long time coming my friends,,, but trust me, getting this beautiful moment is gonna come with a cost. Why?
Well⊠remember V3 Chapter 6? The one where pretty much everything began to take us down the route of no return? Well.. deja vu anyone?
As Robynâs supporters count down the final seconds⊠we find out that Tyrian is there. Watts is elsewhere, having live footage of the party up as well as one of Penny fighting. He gives Tyrian the signal, and Ruby turns just in time to see the stinger of Tyrianâs tail. She tries to warn Robyn in horror, but itâs too late. The entire building blacks out, and Tyrian proceeds to go on a murder spree. We watch him slash at various bystandards with his tail and blades, and Ruby is knocked down and due to the dark, canât see him. Penny can see though as she tries to stop Tyrian from attacking Robyn. He fails to strike her, though he DOES manage to severely slash Fiona and even bypass her Aura. All as Watts takes the live footage and begins to splice it with footage of Penny fighting.
By the time the lights come back on, itâs⊠a grizzly scene. Multiple bloody corpses lay along the ground, and standing on the stage with her swords armed and ready, is Penny. The people of Mantle immediately jump to the conclusion that it was her who did this due to being âIronwoodâs robotâ. Penny is understandably horrified at this revelation. To make things worse, the polls have closed⊠and with a sudden last-second surge in votes, Jaques Schnee has won the Council Seat. Ruby goes to check Fiona, informing Ren and Nora that the real assailant was Tyrian. An outright riot breaks out as the Huntresses, as well as the citizens, charge at Penny, but Marrow freezes them. Ren and Nora lead Penny away as Robyn outright pushes Ruby away hard from Fiona to check on her herself. As they all leave, Marrow tries to tell Robyn that it wasnât Atlas that did this, but whether she believes that or not is currently uncertain. Considering how Joanna shot at him though, it doesnât look good.
Watts has uploaded the edited footage for all of Atlas and Mantle to see, properly framing Penny for cold-blooded murder seemingly due to Ironwoodâs orders. She is understandably horrified, confused, and⊠well take how Yang and Pyrrha respectively felt when Emerald tricked them in V3, and you get how Penny feels. Marrow tells her that she should get back to Atlas, but Penny offers no reply though she does indeed fly off. Riots are once more breaking out, and along with it the Grimm. And the only ones currently available to protect the city are Ruby, Marrow, Ren, and Nora though Marrow does call in backup. The warning sirens blare and go red, all as Jaques makes his victory speech and promises to serve all of Mantle and Atlas. Fittingly bleak words to end a bleak episode.
Review
Damn man, just⊠damn⊠we all knew that things were gonna go off the rails in this volume sooner or later, but damn I donât think that ANY of us expected this.
Okay, lets⊠let's talk about Renora first. This was an interesting episode for the duo. While I still think that the Chapter 3 scene with them was a stupid scene if only because of how predictable and overused that trope is, we do get to see that there is more going on. Itâs clear that Ren is tense. His danger senses have been going off, the weight of the secret mission is piling on, theyâre running out of time regarding Ironwood and the Salem reveal, itâs understandable for them to be edgy. But Ren seems to be moreso than anyone, even more than Ruby. This is making him more withdrawn and focused on the job, which means neglecting Nora and not talking to her. As he said, he isnât one for talking, but I would imagine that since he's been with Nora since forever, fi h could talk to anyone it would be her. And yet, he isnât.
It makes you feel for Nora. I mean Ren isnât being cruel or anything, but he wonât let Nora in and just brushes her off when she tries to address it or lighten things up. So far, Noraâs been⊠well Nora, but sheâs been pretty vocal about wanting to help Mantle be better and clearly wants to trust/believe the people trying to do so. Ironwood may not be doing a great job. But at least heâs well-intentioned. Robyn also wants better for Mantle and compared to Jaques, she would keep her word about helping both cities⊠at least he says, but still. Noraâs well aware of whatâs coming, but sheâs remaining optimistic and even pointed out to Ruby that just because Salem canât be defeated by Oz doesn't mean that no one else can. Theyâre in a position to help people, so thatâs what Nora is trying to do while Ren is stressing out over the larger picture and whatâs about to come.
Weâve never seen the duo have issues like this. I can't really recall any time that they argued aside from the occasional friendly spat. With how much these two are usually shoved into the background, itâs nice to see some focus on them and especially on their relationship. While weâve known since at least V4 that Nora at least had feelings for Ren, the show has been VERY unclear about if theyâre canon or not. Sure they sit together, stand next to each other, and are with each other a lot, kinda like Blake and Yang are now, but there was still this kind fo air of âare they nor notâ especially since little was done with them in V5 and 6. This volume seems to finally be addressing this by having them reach an impasse between them and their views. Nora is living in the present, while Ren is scared about whatâs coming and not being ready. Iâm really happy that Nora decided to take that step and kiss him. Maybe it was to try and get Ren to open himself up to her in some form. Maybe it was to comfort him. Whatever the reason, we know that this has been building up for a while and clearly Ren reciprocated after the initial shock. It was really, really niceâŠ
Then the murder spree happenedâŠ
Yeah, things went to shit FAAAR sooner than I was expecting. Its a brilliant plan on the villains part. Have Tyrian murder people, splice the footage with Penny, and then set it up so that Penny takes the fall Penny: the Protector of Mantle. A member of Ironwoodâs inner circle. The girl who Ironwood assigned to protect the city, despite frequently pulling her away for Atlas matters and offering no other form or protection for the city. Penny is very well-meaning and is genuinely trying to do everything at the sacrifice of having any personal life, but add this to the other murders, Ironwoodâs police state, the frequent taking of valuable resources, and now Jaques winning the election and this whole thing just adds onto the tension between the two cities. Watts and Tyrian clearly want to create as much chaos as possible, and so far theyâre killing it. Their only snag was that Ruby saw Tyrian, so now the gang knows that Salemâs minions are there, but that doesnât undo the damage that they caused.
This is certainly the breaking point. All that tension has boiled over, and itâs probably not going to simmer down any time soon. Even before, you could see how the Happy Huntresses were mad about Marrow and Pennyâs presence and wanted them gone. Robyn let them stick around, but her view is clearly⊠well, not the most moral. From what we can tell she isnât a bad person, but sheâs perfectly happy with robbing and breaking a few laws to accomplish her goals. Which if she did win council, might have made her look somewhat dubious. Marrow is a Faunus who is fully aware of Atlasâ crooked system, but he wants to work within the law and do whatâs right morally. Both sides have good intentions, but Robynâs efforts are to help a broken city while Marrow is ultimately still siding with a place that frequently puts others down. You can see the right and wrong with both sides, but they do ultimately want whatâs best for everyone, a fact that both ignore because of their different ways of accomplishing it.
Now? Reaching some kind of middle ground just got a Hell fo a lot harder. We saw the kids try to convince Ironwood to work with Robyn, but he won't for it, and she probably wonât be now either. While I do think that Robyn will realize that it wasn't Penny eventually, especially with her fighting Tyrian in the opening, sheâs clearly not happy. Her girls seem even more angry with how hostile May had been towards Marrow earlier, and Joanna hooting at him when he tried to ask if Fiona was okay. Neither side is willing to talk or cooperate with each other, and in the current state where doing so would be more important than ever, itâs only been made much more difficult, if not outright impossible. Thatâs not even mentioning whatâs going to happen once Ironwood reveals Salem. It was already a very dangerous idea, but doing so with this much chaos and mistrust everywhere? And when itâs unlikely that Ironwood will send the standby forces into the city while the Manticore are swarming, allowing for even more devastation due to his paranoia? Doing it is going to lead to outright slaughter.
Heck, this is only going to make things worse for Ruby. For one, sheâs still running out of time. But think about whatâs going to happen once Ironwood is made aware that Tyrian was the murderer. That Salemâs forces are indeed there. That they have been compromised and didn't even know it. Ironwoodâs likely going to be even more paranoid. Heâll double efforts ton Amity Arena. Double down on the police state. And worse of all, heâll care even less about his mage and Manteâs perception of him. WHich will not only continue the thread of mistrust and hate, but itâll make it all the easier for Jaques to paint all the fault onto Ironwood. While IDK if he can play the political game well, Jaques isnât stupid and clearly heâs in on Wattsâ schemes on some level. If he plays his cards right, he can make everyone hate Ironwood and paint him as the cause of everyoneâs pain and suffering. All that he wants is to get rid of the Embargo (at least currently cause heâs sure as Hell gonna abuse his power for SO much more) so heâd have zero issues playing long, especially with his own contempt towards Ironwood. Which is going to make everything even harder for our heroes.
Ruby knows that sheâs running out of time. She knows that once the truth about Salem is out, nothingâs going to be the same again. But she also doesnât know how Ironwood will respond about Salemâs immortality, and this could make her either unwilling to reveal it or at least doubtful. Which is unlikely to go well among the team. But either way, sheâs going to make a call soon. But she doesnât know what to do. Even if there is a way to beat Salem like Nora said, Ruby doesn't know what to do. She may very well be over her head here, and itâs all going to come crashing down. Add that to what happened with Penny and being unable to do anything to stop Tyrian, and⊠yeah, poor Rubyâs got it rough.
Despite all the bleakness though, this was an excellent episode. The bleakness came across very strongly, and it felt like Volume 3 Chapter 6 all over again when Yang got framed. It really paints the two sie of Mantle and Atlas as flawed, but well-meaning but they cannot find a compromise and that is by far the biggest thing holding them back. The villains have been ramping things up between them, kinda like how the Mercs did to the two opposing side son Chorus in RvB. Though I think itâs better here since while the Reds and Blues came into it when the tipping point had LOOOONG been crossed, the RWBY gang are there to witness the tipping point themselves. It was an appropriately shocking episode, but it had itâs light moments as well. Dorky Bees, some training scenes, some cute Ruby and Penny bits, and of course the Renora kiss. Whether that will cause issues later is yet to be seen, but hey we finally got it! About time~!
Chapter Seven Predictions
While no thumbnail is currently available, RT DID accidentally reveal some brief clips of Blake and Yang in Mantle fighting Robyn. Not sure which episode itâs in, but if theyâre in Mantle with FNKI, chances are theyâre going to get pulled into the current conflict. Why theyâd go after Robyn? Heck if I know. But weâll get to see Robyn in action, so thatâll be nice. Iâm hoping that maybe Robyn is looking into what happened and is realizing that somethingâs amiss, and maybe itâll even lead to her fight with Tyrian. Not sure, but letâs hope. Otherwise, assuming that we start where we left off, weâll likely get some Grimm fights, but IDT that itâs gonna end any happierâŠ
Episode Stats
Favorite Character: Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie Favorite Scene: Renora Kiss Least Favorite Scene: Honestly? I got nothing. Favorite Voice Actor: Sam Ireland (Nora Valkyrie) but Honorable Mention to Kdin Jenzen (May Marigold) because about dang time that she got a part in this! Favorite Animation: Renora Kiss, the camera work and background blurring were perfection. Rating: 9/10
Final Thoughts
Whatâs left to say? This episode was the Wham Episode. The point where everything goes to Hell. It captured the shock and bleakness so well, but also had plenty of light-hearted moments and nice character perspectives. It really paints these two sides similarities yet vat differences perfectly, and that divide is only going to get wider. Itâs uncertain how things are going to go from this point, but we can only hope that we get some kind of miracle by the end. But Iâm for certain that I'm still gonna be here to find out~

RWBY Recaps: Vol. 5 "Unforeseen Complications"
This is a re-posting from Oct. 28th, 2017 in an effort to get all my recaps fully on tumblr. Thanks!
This RWBY review had to be put on hold while I finished Stranger Things 2. In all honesty if you're reading this instead of watching the new season... please re-think your life choices.
For those of you who have binged properly you'll already know that though RWBY doesn't do holiday-themed episodes, they're still bringing in the Halloween spirit this week with the rather terrifying title "Unforeseen Complications." We open on Blake, Sun, Kali, and a pacing Ghira, wearing his tiny reading glasses that everyone was gushing over when the promo picture first dropped. Luckily we haven't lost the adorable cat Dad (yet), but things aren't looking good, especially when he's given this much screen time in a show that just loves breaking up happy families. Ghira is prepping a speech in regards to Adam's recent power-play and the only thing that eases the tension is a warm, family hug.
And Sun's awkward fourth-wheeling. Honestly, that was funny about ten episodes ago. For a side character that's been thrust into one of the main cast's storyline, Sun sure hasn't justified his place there yet. He's done little in the way of really assisting Blake in her work and the injury that worried everyone last Volume was explained away this very episode, amounting to nothing. The guy either needs something to do or finally needs to clear out--which, I should add, Blake wanted him to do weeks ago.
Sun aside, Ghira remains a favorite among fans for his sweet nature, fair views, and unending support of his daughter. His speech here, laying out Adam's rogue faction in the White Fang and his involvement in the Fall of Beacon, isn't anything that the viewer didn't already know about. In fact, the scene is a little confusing if you don't catch that Blake's story is apparently taking place a month behind everyone else's. There's no overt indication of this using text on screen and given that we're following so many characters, there's no easy way to imply an ellipsis, let alone that we're jumping around a suddenly non-linear timeline. I had originally taken Ghira's warning that Adam intends to kill Sienna as an indicator that news of her death hadn't reached the island yet. However, it was pointed out to me later that Ghira mentions Haven opening in two months time whereas Ozpin, later in the episode, says that school starts up in a month. I'm not sure why RT has chosen this form--or why they've made it so convoluted--but I'm trusting that it will somehow benefit the overall structure of the Volume.
Ghira's call to assist the humans in Haven certainly doesn't get an outcry of support from the crowd, but he's entirely undermined when Ilia (dramatically) throws off her cloak and reveals herself, shouting that they should never help the humans when they've done nothing but harm the faunus in turn. Sun tries to grab her (he fails) but the damage is already done. As we see through the camera focusing on our two creepy fox brothers, Adam's splinter faction has wormed its way in deep. We know thanks to Ilia's scroll that Adam not only plans to attack Haven but take out their CTT tower as well. RWBY is chock-full of themes surrounding communication (or the lack thereof) and literally taking out the kingdoms' one way of contacting one another is highly reflective of that. Combine that with Iliaâs few words sowing so much discord. Divide them and theyâll fall, and all that.Â
The real action of the episode though is with Team RNJR. After a full two weeks we finally get to see the gang's reaction to Professor Ozpin's return and oh boy, it did not disappoint.
Ruby: "Isn't it weird?"
She's so excited about this! Qrow reminds the kids that this is strange for everyone involved, including the boy you're hounding, so they sheepishly give Oscar some space. He admits that he's a little nervous because he's never met real huntsmen and huntresses before, which is a wonderful callback to Ruby's excited, "Can I have your autograph?" to Glynda in Episode One. She's come far enough now that she's the one people look up to with awe. There's also perhaps a bit of rosegarden here, but that's obviously a ship that can only happen if Ozpin gets a body of his own.
We then (bless) finally get some actual information regarding this Oscar-Ozpin situation. Oscar shows everyone his "parlor trick" where, with a flash of green aura, gold eyes, and white hair, Ozpin takes control of his body, making everyone emotional with a sincere, "It is so very good to see you again, students."
It's a remarkably light scene for all the revelations. Like I've been noting in all these recaps, Ozpin admits how pleased he is that Ruby and the others can retain their sense of humor in the face of confusing and traumatizing circumstances. We get another callback as Ozpin apologizes, saying that he wasn't exaggerating when he once told Ruby he'd made more mistakes than any man, woman, or child. We learn that he has been âcursedâ by the gods for failing to stop Salem centuries ago. For thousands of years Ozpin has lived, died, and reincarnated in the body of a "like-minded soul," though there's still no explanation of what exactly constitutes "like-mindedâ in this scenario.Â
Jaune: "So who... what are you?"
Ouch. Though not an entirely unwarranted question when youâre suddenly dealing with the impossible. Ozpin says that he is the "combination of countless men" who have spent their lives trying to protect Remnant. The implication that he only reincarnates as a man aside (seems like a missed opportunity there), this seems like a pretty firm confirmation of the merging theory. The person we know as Ozpin might not entirely erase Oscar, but it certainly sounds like they won't remain completely separate people for forever. Indeed, Ozpin says straight out that at some point, "eventually," they'll âmergeâ and become the new Ozpin, a man who retains the memories of all his past lives. Itâs all still horrendously murky, but honestly, if Oscar doesn't have at least a little bit of a freak out over this I'll be sorely disappointed.
We still don't know who or what Ozpin was originally. Was he just a man who took on too much, cursed by the gods for his failure or arrogance? Was he the wizard, one of the few capable of wielding magic in Remnant, thus making his survival (and the curse to ensure as much) a necessity? Ozpin isn't saying just yet. After assigning Qrow to find them more huntsmen he turns his sights on Team RNJR, telling them that they'll need to get into "fighting shape" before they can face Salem.
There is nothing that I don't love about this scene. Bringing back Ruby's lack of skill in hand-to-hand after Yang's character short spent so much time emphasizing it? Check. Implying that we'll finally unlock Jaune's semblance this Volume? Check. Ozpin confirming that outside the confines of his headmaster persona he's a happy, dramatic showoff?
Triple check.
All poor Oscar asked is that Ozpin not do anything embarrassing while he has control of their body and what does this man do? Act extra as fuck of course, performing a backflip onto the chair and spinning his cane far, far longer than he needs to. Nora is the only one unimpressed by this display, but I personally can't wait to see Ozpin training the kids. It should be especially interesting given his sudden loss of control--Oscar coming back unexpectedly and losing his balance, toppling them off the chair. Training is hard enough. Training while you're stuck in the body of a weak, undisciplined child... that's something else entirely.
The end of our episode takes us back to Weiss, still guarded by Raven's bandits. It's a moment of psychological torture, with her captor taunting Weiss with her own weapon and demonstrating that the one tool she has, information, is severely outdated. Ironwood has recalled all his troops from Mistral, including Winter. She's not around now to save her little sisâ like Weiss had hoped.
Which is hilarious, because in no world does Weiss Schnee need saving. Our last shot is of the miniature knight she's made out of a tiny glyph and her confident smile. Can't wait to see what she's planning to do with that.
Other Details of Note
I was incredibly nervous during the later half of Ghira's speech where he's just going, "We have ALL this INCRIMINATING evidence on this ONE SCROLL that I'm going to WAVE AROUND out here in the OPEN where anyone could EASILY STEAL or DESTROY IT..."
The faunus press all using their scrolls instead of cameras or old-fashioned pen and paper. It's a small but enjoyable bit of world-building.
The voice acting for Ozpin as Oscar was incredibly well done. Jury's still out on whether the echo is just a byproduct of his control or is somehow more meaningful. One theory currently says it's used whenever Ozpin says something that references all of his past lives, not just his last two.
Qrow immediately gets Ozpin coffee. Or hot chocolate. Whatever it is. He might be in the body of a 14yo, but you know as soon as he has control he needs a mug in his hands.
... Qrow then breaks the table and the mug. Hello, semblance. I'm looking forward to seeing more of that as the Volume goes on. Does the bad luck get worse the longer Qrow stays in one place? Is that why he's so eager to leave and recruit more huntsmen? What exactly are the rules here? No one has laid them out and (like silver eyes...) no one seems very interested.Â
Oscar upon learning that he'll be training too: "Wait, what?"
And you've gotta love Nora. She went from thinking over how she could bribe her powerful, dignified headmaster ("No wait, he has a school") to flouncing about and calling him their "little cute boy Ozpin." I really hope she ignores his request and keeps calling him that indefinitely. It's very amusing.

DanganRWBY (chapter 0) - Opening Ceremony
Everyone meets each other.
(Chapter 0 part 2 is done!) (feel free to send asks about this AU!)
âThis doesnât feel right at all...â Ruby muttered as Jaune led her through the hallways.
âSee what I mean?â Jaune said, gesturing towards the walls around them. âSure, weâre at Beacon, but we arenât on familiar ground as far as I can tell.â
The hallways were almost the same as they usually were, except with the rows of lockers missing and some doors being boarded up.
One of them made Ruby stop in her tracks.
âI donât think that one was there before.â
âWhat?â Jaune stopped walking. She gestured towards it. âThis door. It definitely wasnât here before.â
The door in question had been boarded up, like some of the doors that they had passed previously. There was a name plate on the top of the doorframe â where it would say what this room was for â but it didnât say anything.
âHm...â Jaune said thoughtfully. âThis IS interesting...Letâs see if we find anything else.â
As the two of them continued walking, Jaune noticed another door that wasnât usually in the building. It wasnât boarded up, and the nameplate read âSTORAGEâ.
âWanna check it out?â Ruby asked.
âWeâre going to be late enough to whoever wrote that letterâs invitation as it is. Weâll check it out later.â He turned away from the door. âLetâs keep walking.â
Ruby nodded and followed him as he continued.
âFrom what I remember, the amphitheatre is...â He pointed. âThis way. And thatâs assuming they mean the one Ozpin talked to us in on our first day.â
âMost likely-â Ruby stopped again.
âWhatâs wrong?â
âLook.â Ruby pointed up at an area of the wall.
Another of the screens that she had noticed in the lecture hall was mounted where she was pointing.
âWhat the heck is that thing?â Ruby asked. âI saw one in the classroom, and I have no idea what itâs for.â
Jaune shook his head. âNo idea.â
âSame here...But it gives me a bad feeling-â
Before Ruby could finish, the screen suddenly filled with static.
âAh-!?â She jumped backwards, while Jauneâs gaze narrowed on the screen.
The static flurried around the screen for a few seconds before a voice came out of the speakers.
âUh, testing...Testing...One...Two...Three- Aha! Got it!â
The voice sounded unnaturally happy, but had a digital edge that sounded very inhuman. The voice alone made Ruby shiver a little.
âRighty then!â The voice continued. âThis is a reminder for everyone who hasnât arrived at the amphitheatre yet to hurry the hell up! I mean, seriously! I stated the time in every single letter!â The voice sighed, but it sounded robotic and growl-like. âWhatever, point is, anyone who isnât at the amphitheatre yet, move your asses!â
The voice cut off, and the screen cut to black.
Rubyâs eyes were wide with shock, still focused on the screen.
Jaune put his hands on his hips and sighed. âI guess thatâs our cue to hurry up.â
Ruby was still in shock, and hadnât moved. âWho...the heck WAS that!?â
âOnce again, no idea.â Jaune replied. âBut at least we know who wrote that letter.â
âYeah, but...â
âBut what?â
âDidnât they say that they âstated the time in every single letterâ?â
âWhat about it?â
âThat means...Thereâs more people here!â Jaune stopped. âReally?â
âYeah! If there was more than one letter, that suggests that there could be more people here!â
He thought for a moment. âMost likely...Either way, the best thing to do is to hurry up.â He turned around. âComing?â
âYeah. Letâs go.â
The two of them continued down the hallway, passing more doors â some being boarded up â until they got to one labelled âamphitheatreâ.
âWeâre here.â Ruby said.
âCare to do the honours?â Jaune asked, gesturing towards the door.
Ruby nodded and pushed the door open.
What she saw inside made her instantly step back in shock.
Everyone was there.
A number of the other students from Beacon, as well as some from the three other kingdoms had arrived in Vale for the upcoming Vytal Festival, and the majority of the students Ruby knew were standing there in the amphitheatre in front of her. Some stood in their teams, some stood closer to their closest friends; but everyone was there.
And they were all staring at them.
Everything was silent for a few seconds.
âUh...â Ruby started. âHey, guys!â
âAh! Finally! More people!â An orange haired girl said, darting towards the two of them. She was wearing a sleeveless white top with a heart shape cut in the middle of the chest, with matching pink gloves and a short pink skirt.
She immediately starting shaking Jauneâs hand. âJaune! Youâre finally here! What took you so long?â She turned to face Ruby with a smile. âAnd Ruby too! Itâs always good to see you.â
Jaune blinked. â...Nora? What are you doing here?â
âCould ask you the same thing, buddy!â Nora shrugged. âBut weâre all here, so I didnât bother.â
A boy wearing a dark green tailcoat with black and gold trim, white trousers, black shoes and with a long black ponytail with a magenta streak, as well as a faded pink lotus flower clutched in his left hand narrowed his eyes at her sternly. âNora, please.â
âOkay Ren, no need to be a killjoy!â
âIâm not being a killjoy. You just need to calm down.â
âWell, itâs kinda hard to be calm when you get a mysterious letter inviting you to the amphitheatre after apparently falling asleep in a locker!â
âWait a second!â Ruby interrupted. âYou woke up in a locker too?â
Nora blinked. âYeah. I thought I had blacked out after too much sugar or something, but turns out Ren woke up in one too.â
Ren nodded. âAnd before you asked, Iâve already asked them.â
âYou mean they all-?â Ruby started.
âWoke up inside a locker and received an invitation summoning them here. Yes.â
âHm...â Jaune said thoughtfully. âThat IS weird...â
âWeird doesnât even begin to describe it!â Nora replied, articulating her point by waving her arms around a little. âThe fact that all 17 of us woke up in a locker canât be coincidence, right?...Well, it was 17 last time I counted...â
â19.â A voice corrected.
âHuh?â
The voice had come from another boy near the corner of the room. He had spiky silver hair and wore a grey and black zip jacket, as well as black jeans and a large pair of black boots. He was standing next to a dark skinned girl with light green hair and deep red eyes.
âSure, you counted 17,â he continued. âBut with Jaune and Ruby, that makes 19 of us.â
Nora pouted. âOkay, no need to be a smartass.â
He tutted and rolled his eyes, prompting the other girl to shake her head.
âWait, thereâs 19, of us?â Ruby asked.
âWhat did I just say, little red?â The boy said cynically. âDoesnât take a dust scientist to figure it out.â
âOkay Mercury, cut it out.â Jaune said.
Mercury smirked. âOh look, blondie finally grew himself a pair!â
Jaune didnât respond. He just glared at him.
The girl Mercury was with spoke for him. âMaybe Jauneâs right, we can save the conflicts for later.â
Another girl in the room adjusted the sunglasses she was wearing. âAnd do what?â
âTry to figure out whatâs going on, duh.â
âEmerald has a point,â A boy next to the girl with the sunglasses said, who had dark scar-torn skin and blank eyes. â19 students all wake up inside a locker and find a letter telling us to go here. I know the professor throws his own students off of cliffs, but this is way too outrageous a stunt for even him to pull.â
âWait, he threw you guys off a cliff?â A monkey faunus with messy blonde hair and an unbuttoned shirt said in slight disbelief.
âItâs a long story.â
While the two of them were talking, Ruby made a point to see who she recognised.
She had of course seen half of team JNPR as well as Emerald and Mercury, and had also noticed Pyrrha, team CFVY, team SSSN and even Penny, who was a robot they met from Atlas.
Before she could finish looking, someone tackle-hugged her from behind.
âRUUUUBYYYYYYY!!!!â The voice behind her said. âOh thank goodness youâre here! I was so worried!â
Ruby recognised the voice instantly. âYang-!?â
âOkay okay,â A second, calmer voice said, pulling Yang from on top of her. âYou can give her some room to breathe now.â
âSeriously!â Another voice added. âLearn some respect for her boundaries.â
Ruby stopped and turned around, to find the rest of her team behind her. Blake being the one who pulled Yang off of her, and Weiss being the one telling her off for not respecting Rubyâs personal space.
âG-guys?â Ruby stuttered. âYouâre here too?â
âUh, hello?â Yang said, putting a hand on her hip. âWeâre right in front of you!â
Ruby paused for a minute. âS-sorry...Iâm still very confused as to what is going on.â
âLiterally all of us are in the same boat here.â Blake replied.
âMake that a sinking ship.â Jaune said from behind them.
âFine, all of us are in the same sinking ship.â
âWait, Jaune, why do you think itâs sinking?â Ruby asked.
âThis isnât exactly a good situation, is it?â Jaune replied. âFor starters, even though weâre at Beacon, we arenât on familiar ground. And literally all of us woke up trapped in a locker. You try looking at the glass half full.â
âFor the first time,â A boy with red hair and a smooth British accent added. âI actually agree with you.â
âThanks, Scarlet. Anyway, weâre all in the same sinking ship. And none of us know who the captain is.â
âWell...â Ruby started, before another girl finished her sentence for her.
She had red hair tied up in a ponytail, green eyes, gold armour and a red sash on her waist.
âAt least weâre here with people we know.â Pyrrha said with a smile.
âThatâs right!â Another girl, Penny, added from nearby. âWeâre all here with our friends!â
âY-yeah!â Ruby said, looking towards everyone in the room, all people she recognised. âEven if we arenât on familiar ground, we know that we can trust each other! And we can get through this together!â
The room mostly nodded in silent agreement.
âWell, canât argue with your logic there, Ruby.â Jaune shrugged. âYou always know how to keep our spirits up.â
âYeah!â Nora added from nearby. âYouâre like our personal cheerleader!â
âYâknow, I canât disagree with that.â Sun also added.
Mercury looked over to Emerald, who shrugged.
âI guess.â He said.
âWell done, sis! You got the whole room going!â Yang said excitedly, tussling Rubyâs hair with a smile.
âAh-! Yang, donât mess it up!â Ruby started, fixing her hair as soon as Yang let go.
âOkay, okay.â Yang said, laughing a little.
Ruby stepped forward, so she had the whole roomâs attention again. âAnyway, like I said, even if weâre in unfamiliar territory, we know we can work together! Weâre all friends, we trust each other!â She started to smile a little. âWe still have hope!â
âHope, you say?â A voice said.
Ruby stopped in her tracks. âHuh-!?â
âThatâs disappointing...Youâre already having hope so early on.â The voice continued.
âOh great...â Scarlet muttered, folding his arms angrily. âItâs that stupid voice from the screen again.â
âHey, my voice is not stupid!â
âWait...â Ruby started, turning around for a second to notice another one of the screens suspended on one of the walls, before turning around to the source of the voice. That IS the voice from that screen!
âWill we be able to find out who you are this time?â Coco asked, adjusting her glasses again.
âDonât be impatient, Iâm getting to it!â
âJust...â Ruby started. âJust who ARE you!?â
Almost as if on cue, as they were all focused on the small desk on the stage of the amphitheatre, something jumped up from behind it and landed on the surface of the desk.
It looked like a tiny anthropomorphic Beowolf, with one orange eye and one gold eye. A flame like tattoo surrounded the gold eye, and it had a big smile on itâs face.
The thing bowed. âPleasure to meet you all. My name is Beochi, and welcome back to Beacon Academy!â

Done dirty: Ruby
âMain Protagonistâ my ass!
Ruby is supposed to be the main protagonist. Sheâs supposed to have this grand destiny sheâs supposed to fulfill, and be the hero.
So why does it feel like sheâs taking a back seat to everything important?
Take the Red trailer. We donât get a whole lot for her, sheâs jut there kicking ass. Sheâs tearing through those Beowolves like theyâre nothing, and itâs some great choreography.
Then in Volume 1, we run into the first problem: She kicks the ass of Romanâs men without her weapon.
See, the writers have repeatedly said that Ruby is trash without Crescent Rose, and Volume 5 reinforced that. Not only is it something that is told, itâs something that contradicts what we are shown. Ruby goes gaga in a later episode over weapons, and thatâs never brought up again. It would have been a great running gag, and a means to introduce the weapons that the main cast has to the audience in a natural way. Hereâs a scenario: After Ruby cuts up those grimm while saving Weiss, she starts examining the weapon. To which Weiss begrudgingly answers the questions in a failed attempt to get Ruby to shut up.
âOhh! Is this a Rapier mixed with a milti-chamber dust revolver so that you can use them for different effects?â
âYes.â Weiss ground out.
âAnd it it made up of a steel-titanium alloy that makes it really durable?â (This part isnât actually canon, but I think it would be neat if we knew what kind of materials these weapons are traditionally made out of).
âYes.â
âCan I touch her?â
âWhat?- No! You canât touch Myrtenaster!â
âOh. So the weaponâs name is Myrtenaster?- Thatâs cool. You should see my sisterâs weapons. She called them Ember Celica, and she made it so that they can look like ordinary bracelets when theyâre not in use. They mix long-range shotguns with gauntlets, and theyâre really cool!â
See that?- All of that could have been a conversation that Ruby could have had with Weiss. Not only would it have been natural, given Rubyâs love for weapons, but it also would have been a great way to introduce the weapons that the cast uses. We could have gotten a similar conversation (using different attitudes depending on the person) with other characters. It could have been a cool bonding moment. Ruby also apparently doesnât have to prove that she can be a capable leader to Weiss. In this scenario, most would expect that the main leader would have to do something to prove themselves, and prove the person who doubts them wrong. But we donât get that. All it takes to reinvigorate Rubyâs confidence is a talk from a teacher, and Weiss gets lectured by Ozpin. This could have also led into an interesting bonding moment, and show the differences between how Ruby and Weiss function, and how Blake and Yang function. But we donât get that character interaction. Ruby gets further robbed of character interaction/development when jaune hijacks the plot to reveal that heâs putting his team in danger due to his lack of experience and reluctance to be trained because egoâą. Ruby doesnât even rush out to find Blake with her semblance, she just⊠stands there. Doing nothing. Some team leader. She also sides with Weiss on this, and since we never saw any bonding moments between the two, thereâs no evidence to believe that the reason sheâs siding with Weiss is because of a bond that they have.
Volume 2 also does Ruby an injustice. While the Food Fight has some moments for her (Like quoting Nixon for some reason), she doesnât do much else. Because sheâs not questioned while the team is visiting Mount Glenn, her motives are never questioned. She isnât questioned on how she plans to accomplish her goal, or on how she would handle tough decisions. Ruby lacks focus in this volume, and the most she gets in terms of bonding with her team and character development isâŠ
This scene⊠Which, while humorous, doesnât really add much else. Ruby then uses her speed to defeat JNPR (And hereâs a kicker: Assuming that the mess hall is the length of an average school, Ruby is actually only moving 10 Meters per second. Sheâs slower that freaking Hercule Satan!), and⊠Thatâs about it. Apparently she also confronts Cinder during the dance, but she hardly provides anything else. The Ozluminati donât take any precautions because of this âmasked intruder,â none of them bother to check to see if their systems have any malicious hardware on it, they just sit around⊠With Ozpin probably literally dicking around in his dick chair.
(Why does it look like a dick?)
Volume 3 doesnât add much. Outside of referring to Weiss as her âBFF,â Ruby doesnât actually do anything in this volume. And get used to that, because this is just the start of that trend. Ruby ends up taking a back seat to a lot of things, like Pyrrhaâs first and final character arc, Yangâs framing, and some backstory for the villains. Ruby acknowledges Penny, and⊠Yeah. Thatâs kinda it. After that, she has a small breakdown on Pyrrha committing manslaughter (bot slaughter? mechaslaughter? droidslaughter?- Whatever), but thatâs undermined by jaune taking Pyrrha aside to repeat the sentiment. Rubyâs words fall on deaf ears because sheâs taking a backseat to Pyrrhaâs arc. Normally, this wouldnât be a problem, but in normal situations, Rubyâs motives, personality, and other aspects would have made her a character in her own right. And had this not been a rushed attempt to give Pyrrha some non-jaune related characterization before her death, Ruby taking a supporting role would have been normal. After everything, she ultimately defeats Neo (by using a weakness on Ice Cream Girlâs weapon), and watches Roman die. She feels no remorse, nor does she seem to have any real reaction. I mean⊠This is a young girl! And she just saw two people die right in front of her!- Yeah, Romanâs a villain, but his speech about surviving should have shaken Ruby up a bit. Maybe even force her to realize that some people arenât bad for the lulz (thatâs Cinderâs role), but that they do bad things because theyâre in bad situations. Pyrrhaâs death ultimately sets off her Silver Eyes, and then Qrow gives her the rundown on her newfound powers. This is where a lot of things start going wrong in a narrative sense for Ruby. She doesnât question this. She doesnât ask how they work. And she doesnât ask how her mother could have been killed if she had this power. Then she sets off, knowing that Yangâs emotionally vulnerable, and that a lot of things went down the drain for her. Sure, Ruby has this grand destiny, but she doesnât seem to leave a letter specifically for Yang. She leave a generic one for both Yang and Tai.
Volume 4 is where it gets obvious that the writers have likely forgotten about Ruby being, yâknow⊠The first letter in the title. She takes a backseat to jauneâs angst, as well as the Renora duoâs conclusion to their backstory (Letâs face it; Ren and Nora have so little character to them, that theyâre basically the same character). Ruby doesnât comment on Pennyâs death, she only acknowledges Pyrrha once, and her mentioning the family that she left behind to go on this quest that her uncle all but explicitly gave to her isnât even mentioned. And when Ruby is about to finally acknowledge what happened, jaune steps in and is all âNah, donât worry about what youâve done. Youâre doing fine.â effectively robbing Ruby of any kind of development that sheâd get by questioning herself and her decisions. She sends a letter home, and thatâs it. She gives this monologue that genuinely feels that the writers only gave her because they realized, at the last minute âOh crap! Ruby didnât have a lot to do this volume!â- So they gave her that speech to make it seem that she grew, but it doesnât actually feel like she grew.
Volume 5 rolls along, and by this point, weâre almost used to Ruby not getting any development. She isnât questioning anything that Ozpin tells her. Nobody does. And she then learns hand-to-hand. Now, it feels as if the writers did this, as a means to try to say that they gave Ruby development, but theyâre not exactly doing it right.
Yes, Ruby needs development. They acknowledge as much. But they donât understand how she needs development. If they really wanted to teach her hand-to-hand, have Ruby be the one who suggests it. Thereâs a video that suggests that Ruby is afraid of her silver eyes, and itâs an interesting idea, albeit, not well-communicated. Hereâs an idea as to how it could go down
Ozpin: Now, miss Rose, we will be needing to work on your control over your silver eyes.
Ruby (Frightened): My⊠My silver eyes?
Ozpin: Yes. Is there a problem?
Ruby: No! I mean, uh⊠How about I help Oscar train in hand-to-hand? I could use a bit of training without my weapon anyways. Heh hehâŠ
And there you have it. Ruby trains in hand-to-hand because sheâs afraid of her Silver Eyes. The last time she used them, a grimm dragon got petrified on top of Beacon Tower, and she fell unconscious for a long time. It would make sense had it been better-communicated to the audience if this were truly the reason why Ruby never once asked about them.
Rubyâs lack of development hardly stops there. She doesnât get the fight with Cinder (You know⊠The fight thatâs been foreshadowed by practically everything, from the opening themes, to Cinderâs grudge, to freaking episode one where Ruby foils Cinderâs dust heist), she ends up fighting Emerald while jauneâs revenge boner leads him to take on Cinder. Thatâs like Sokka fighting Ozai while Aang fights the random Fire Nation Soldiers. Jaune should have fought Emerald (While Emerald uses an illusion to make him see Cinder, or even Pyrrha as a means to taunt him), and Ruby gets to be the one to take on Cinder. Her Silver Eyes should have activated when she saw Vernal deplete Weissâ aura. Because as far as Ruby knows, Vernal is the maiden, and seeing another maiden towering above a friend of hers that doesnât have any aura should have triggered the Silver Eyes instead. The most she does is tell a speech to Raven that⊠didnât really feel like a real thing. Most of the victories we saw on-screen rarely took teamwork, and mostly revolved around one moment of awesome that just undermined the threat of the grimm or big bad guys. Sheâs about as effective as a level five Bulbasaur in Inferno Cave.
Ruby is constantly taking a backseat to most moments that develop the much more interesting cast and jaune.
And once the story is all said and done?- What is she going to do? What is she going to do once the heroes defeat Salem, and the world is safe from the threat of the grimm?
Yang has some world exploring to do. Blake has equality to keep alive. Weiss has a company to run. Ren and Nora have each otherâŠâŠâŠ Whatâs left for Ruby? What are her goals for after the adventure is over?
Nothing.

THIS CHAPTER: White Rose: exhibitionism, more implied. Bumbleby: fellatio, anal fingering, scissoring, nipple-play, coming inside. (a little unrealistic lol)
=Chapter 24
The itchy need for satisfaction was filling Blake as she strode through the halls, stomach clenched. She needed Yang. In fact, she needed Yang immediately.
The image of Ruby trying to force her ruffly skirt to hide her second erection of the day refused to leave her mind. Pushing down her skirt, feeling the air against the skin... how mortified Ruby had looked when she first refused to give them back, then how dully embarrassed she was once she accepted her fate. Maybe they weren't lovers and never would be, but they had enjoyed a brief diversion during their shared lesson - one that left Blake gasping for more. Really, she had been intending to take Ruby up on the offer to finish her off until she pointed out that Yang probably wanted that privilege â and also mentioned she was very eager to show Weiss what she had learned.
Which any fool could see if they looked at the front of her skirt, of course.
But Yang was not in the gym or the locker room. That was where she normally would be. Several text messages went unanswered. Finally, out of desperation, Blake called Weiss.
"What on earth do you want? I'm trying to finish my homework."
"Do you know where Yang is? Are you in the room, is she there with you?"
"No, she isn't, and you might have actually come to this room and checked. What laziness is... oh, hello there, Ruby. Have you seen Yang?"
Gulping, Blake reached her hand toward the screen. "Sorry, I gotta go! Thanks!"
"Where did your panties g- WHOA, are you already completely hard?! Is this from walking down the hall this way? Ruby Rose, what kind of pervert are you turning int-"
Blake cut the call short before she could hear any more. Yes, she had been intimate with both Ruby and Weiss at separate points, but that still didn't make her comfortable with the idea of listening to their first few moments of foreplay. Instead, she decided to continue her search.
Nearly another hour brought her to the kitchens behind the cafeteria. By now, it was past midnight. She didn't really expect to find Yang there at all, but she was running out of ideas and getting frustrated with texting nobody. Just as she was about to leave, she heard the clattering of a pan.
"Hello?" she called out, pacing further inside. "Anybody in here?"
No answer. Only more clattering of pans, and then of plates. If some one wasn't in here, some thing was. And it became further evident when a large bowl fell on the floor, spinning on its axis for a short moment before it inevitably stopped all movements. And just by that, one of the cupboard drawers was open. The culprit must be inside.
"Uhhh..." Eyes narrowed, Blake approached said cupboard very carefully, wishing she had Gambol Shroud with her. A butcher knife from one of the nearby tables would have to do. Snatching it up, she began to pace toward the cupboard.
But before she could get too close, the culprit poked its head out. The tiny black-and-red beast sniffed the air. Right away, it realised it wasn't alone, despite its terrible vision. And rather than await its demise, it made a sudden dash for it, heading straight toward the huge fridges.
"Oh, no you don't!" Rearing up, she hurled the knife toward the vermin. If it didn't deviate from its current course, this move would cleanly sever its head.
But it did. With a quick jolt to the right, it instead made a break for the back room, known to be where the fresh produce was kept. But instead, there was another trap waiting. As soon as it ran into the room, a bowl fell straight on top of it, followed by a very familiar brown boot to keep it in trapped.
Yang's boot.
"FINALLY! Dust almighty you were a pain in the ASS."
Blinking in surprise, Blake straightened from her battle stance, hands on her hips. "Oh! So it was you in here!" Pacing forward a few feet, she glanced between her battle partner's face and the bowl. "What are you doing?"
"Oh! Hey!" Yang smiled to her partner. It was obvious now why she couldn't hear her, she was wearing a rather large pair of headphones. Which she immediately pulled down to her neck instead.
"I thought I sent you a message about me getting detention? ...Or did I forget... I forgot. Oops."
"You did forget," Blake sighed with a slight smile. The music was still blaring out of the headphones, and she resisted the temptation to tap her boot along with the tempo. "I guess it's no big deal, though. What did you get detention for?"
"Copying Nora's homework. When... She let me, but Goodwitch isn't exactly gonna let me get away with it." Although, keeping her boot firmly in place, she rattled the bowl slightly. "I was told to get rid of this little creep, but to be fair he's so smart, I'm almost tempted to keep 'im."
One of Blake's eyebrows hiked slightly. "You don't think that would be a little... strange? Having a Pox as a pet? They're not like actual animals, you know. Grimm only exist to feed upon innocence, to destroy."
"Yeah but⊠pet," Yang joked, although she agreed entirely. It was a silly option. "I'll get rid of him later."
"Why wait? Just flip the bowl and step on it." No response. "Because... this is what we do, remember? Huntresses. We hunt Grimm. And exterminate them. So they don't kill us."
"But he's a widdle baby Pox who is so very clever yes he is yes he is!" Yang made a cutesy voice at that remark, looking to Blake with wide puppy eyes. But when there was no response, she sighed. "Look, we're on that camping trip soon, right? I'll set him free in the Emerald Forest. I'd doubt a Pox is gonna harm anyone, even first years in initiation."
"We don't know that," Blake said, but her voice was uncertain. Of course it was unlikely that a single Pox would ever be of much consequence. In truth, she was simply too horny to care at the moment.
Speaking of which... "So, was that your entire detention? Catching that little guy?"
"Yeah, that's what I mean; I thought it was easy, but it took me three hours!" She rattled the bowl once again to tease the creature beneath, hearing a rather shrill squeak when doing so. Although, that was a point. "What are you doing here, anyway?"
Of course, she had been all prepared to tell Yang, but for some reason the way she asked paired with the completely-unrelated topic of a moment ago made her blush and stammer, "N-nothing, I guess I just missed you."
"Missed me?" Yang tilted her head. They'd been seeing each other rather often as of late, but it was still rather adorable to hear it. "Hey, I missed you, too. I'm sorry for forgetting to tell you."
Now Blake was faced with a moral dilemma. Should she tell Yang what she had been up to with her sister? Should she tell her now or later, if indeed she chose to do so? After all, the purpose of the whole endeavour was to learn how best to please her partner when she had male anatomy - and though it had turned her on no end, she didn't actually wind up climaxing herself. Was it really such a bad thing?
"It's okay," she began hesitantly. "So... I have kind of a personal question."
Personal could mean anything. It could mean she wanted the blonde to look at something, or could even be her way of asking Yang to get her alone. Either situation worked well. "Hmmm? What's up?"
"Do you... what I mean is, have you taken Dust recently?" Of course, what she really meant was "are you currently in possession of a cock," but it didn't seem the most appropriate way to ask.
Blinking a few times, Yang wondered how to answer that. She hadn't taken it recently, per se, but neither had she taken an antidote, either. "You mean have I still got a dick?"
"Y-yes." Clearing her throat, Blake stared down at her boots to avoid Yang's gaze. "And I have a follow-up question... how do you hide it in those shorts?!"
The question made Yang chuckle all the more, as she placed a hand on her hip, deliberately parting her legs slightly more to tease her. "Depends who's teasing me; sometimes I just can't."
Of course, looking directly for it while that stance was maintained, the slight outline of a bulge could more easily be seen. One that her body responded to in multiple ways - and the mild disgust was far outweighed by her desire to explore, to have her urges sated.
No. She would not let herself become a slave to the phallus, especially when she typically preferred something else. "R-right. I'm hungry. Are you hungry? How about some ice cream?"
"Hungry? I caught you dinner, kitty, right here!" She gestured downward. Of course, a cat pun.
"Y-Yang!" she gasped, affronted. "That's... do you really want me toâŠ" And, of course, it still sounded as if she were talking about the Pox, when she really had mistaken her partner's comment to be in reference to "devouring" her pending arousal. The way she was currently feeling, she would do it if asked.
"Maybe... you want me to pour a little sauce on it? Make this into a real meal? We are in the kitchens, after all."
"... Wait you actually would eat it? I thought me wanting to keep it as a pet was weird." Then she looked at Blake closer, tilting her head. Blake was completely red all over. Was that sweat on her forehead? "Are... You okay?"
The rushing in her ears had made the Faunus miss the bit about keeping it as a pet - which would have made her laugh. Instead, she merely turned, wiping the sweat away as she began to sort through bottles. "Hmm... I wonder what might go with it... ah, here we are. Just the thing."
When she got closer to Yang, it became apparent that she was holding a bottle of chocolate sauce. Her steps were quite purposeful, even if the blush to her skin made her seem as if she were having some sort of fit. What on Remnant was wrong with her teammate? She actually was going to go through with this and eat the captured Pox? And with chocolate sauce, no less?! Was it even safe to eat Grimm?
Back straightening, she looked worried for her friend. "What's the matter with you? You look like you're frying!"
"I'll be better once I've had... something to eat." Licking her lips, her breath was heavy as she pressed a hand gently against Yang's firm abdominal muscles, head tilting in to press her lips against a smooth neck. Oh, but she tasted divine. Yang always did, every part of her.
"W-whaâŠ" Finally, Yang caught on; she wasn't referring to the Pox, after all. Whilst she was slightly disappointed Blake didn't get the cat joke, she was far more relieved that she wasn't actually going to eat the Grimm in that bowl under her boot.
Nearly panting already, Blake's hand began to slide down to the front of her shorts - not quite there yet, just in the general area. "Can you... put something on top of the bowl? Keep it trapped there?"
"U-uh... Something heavy, something heavyâŠ" But there wasn't really much. It was only fresh greens within this particular room, none heavy enough to actually keep the beast in here. Unless she put the lid on the bowl. Tupperware was rather resistant, right?
"The lid, the lid is by the door."
In seconds, Blake had used her catlike speed to race across the room, snatch up the lid and race back to Yang's side. Kneeling down, she pushed it up to the edge of the bowl and glanced up at her partner, entire body tense.
"Ready - one, two, THREE!"
On three, Yang removed her foot, allowing Blake to life the bowl enough to slide the lid beneath. Thankfully, the small creature didn't put up much of a fight, and only could be heard scuttling back and forth over the bowl lid as Blake clicked it firmly in place. One living Pox, captured.
"Phew... I think we did that well. Let's call him 'Remmie'."
"Remmie?" Blake snorted, very slightly distracted as she placed the bowl on one of the countertops, then placed a large bundle of greens on top to hopefully hold it down. "Where'd you come up with that?"
She shrugged. "Rat, kitchen. Reminds me of that film Ruby and I used to watch when we were little. The one with a rat Faunus who wants to be a cook? I think that was his name." But then she smirked again, wiggling her finger to beckon her back over. "Now that he's restrained, howeverâŠ"
With a seductive nod, Blake stalked right back over to her and took her lips without another second of hesitation. Oh, they felt and tasted so good! Her hand fisted in a mass of golden locks, not tugging but not being especially gentle either.
Right away the blonde was pushed up against the shelves. Her lips were being roughly kissed and hair was lightly pulled; Blake was on fire today! Either she was in heat, or something had to happen to get her this pent up. No need to ask now and ruin everything. Instead, she went to roll her tongue against hers, lapping the flavours she could get. Her Faunus girlfriend tasted amazing.
When she felt the tongue against her own, Blake felt a flash of intense guilt that almost made her pull away; Yang wasn't tasting only Blake in that kiss. Then again, she and Ruby had once shared Weiss while they were all in the same room; they had obviously both been intimate with her one after the other on different occasions. Their... emissions had probably mingled before. Maybe Yang didn't care as long as it wasn't direct contact.
Still, she decided it was wiser to pull away and press her mouth against the valley of Yang's cleavage, lapping at the faint traces of sweat on her skin.
Still in a daze from such a rough kiss, Yang stared at the woman as she began to kiss on her chest, quickly lowering her hands to undo the short brown jacket while she was at work. Blake was eager, a little bit too much. "Easy there, tiger." She stroked a finger across the back of her ears, giving one a light scratch.
Moaning from the little feline nickname and the attention to her ears, the hand still holding the bottle of sauce reached up so she could run her thumb over the soft peak through her shirt. Yang was not cold and not aroused... not yet, anyway.
"But I need you," Blake bleated as her face slid down the tube top to the bottom hem, pushing her lips against the taut abs as she continued to speak in a low, primal tone. "I need to devour you... it's so hot, and I'm so..."
"You're so...?" But when she noticed the cap was off the bottle of chocolate sauce, it was obvious Blake really needed this. She needed Yang turned on, as soon as possible. "You really are in heat, aren't you? You could'a just said, I'd have skipped this detention." And then to tease even further, she ran a hand across her cheek, smirking widely. "I'd have had you ride me all day instead..."
That last sentence shot through to Blake's core. Oh, how she would have loved that. Pressing her face into Yang's center, she felt the gentle give of a flaccid cock held at bay by spandex. It was beautiful. She was so desperate to be pleasured to release that even just feeling that through a layer of fabric was almost too much.
"Mine," she moaned quietly as she released Yang's hair to leave light scratches on her lower back as she scrabbled to tug the back of her shorts downward. "All mine..."
"Hah- AH! Ah..."
The light scratches only caused Yang to moan out louder, reaching her hands onto the shelf to support herself as she remained perfectly still. Last time, Blake wasn't really keen on this organ at all, and now it seemed she couldn't get enough of it! Not that she could complain; at the rate Blake was stroking her, kissing her, she was going to be aroused very soon.
Deciding to help further, Yang continued her filthy conversation, looking down for her exact reaction. "Y-yeah... I can see it now. Maybe not a ride... But maybe I could have waited for you and kept you in after lesson. Coulda bent you over the desk..."
"Yeah?" Blake asked as the waistband was finally low enough in front to reveal a dusting of blonde hairs. It was low enough in back to unveil buttocks, of course, and her other hand raised up to press the cold bottle against the firm flesh. God, was there a part of Yang's body that she didn't exercise to peak efficiency?
"Tell me what you would do," she groaned against the growing organ. Now it was a question of whether it would peek over the edge of the shorts on its own or if Blake would pull it down first. "With me over the desk..."
The question was answered when Yang had to force herself to think about that image. Imagining herself take Blake in such a manner was making her arousal grow by the second, making it peep out of her underwear by it's own accord. Hard, always rock hard.
"I would have a hand full of your hair... My other would be keeping your hands still... And I'd be pounding away, over and over."
"Keeping my hands still?" Blake asked, eyes drawn to the head emerging from its restraints. Oh, it looked even better than Ruby's - not as "cute", but larger and more rigid. When she had started thinking about these aspects of an erection as being "better" or "cuter", she had no idea, but it couldn't be questioned now.
"Is that what you would do to me?" she went on as her hand continued to tug downward, her face already in place to catch the length along her soft face once it bounced free. Immediately, the strong scent of arousal rolled over her. She must have been one sick woman to hunger for it as deeply as she was, but she held herself back, staring up at the two prominent mounds that almost entirely eclipsed Yang's face. "Grab my hair and force yourself into me, over and over? You... could still do that. Right now. Right like we are."
"I... You wouldn't mind that? In your mouth?" But when Blake shook her head slowly, she looked down to her with large wide eyes. Blake had been scared of this, scared of penises in general. And now she was offering for Yang to take her mouth as she would if it were a wet pussy. Was she going crazy?
But Yang wanted it. She wanted it so much. She couldn't resist such a demand, and one hand dove into her hair, holding a large amount of it into her tight grip. "Alrighty then, tiger. Lap away."
A tiny squeal happened when she was grabbed, but Blake showed no other sign of displeasure. After a few deep breaths, she began in a soft, throaty voice, "Well... I can't promise I'll be perfect at this, but God do I hope I am." Her hand reached around to the front and pulled the shorts down to fully reveal Yang's package, but even as she did so her lips were already pressing against the smooth head.
"H'oh!" On reflex, Yang leant forward, unable to help herself as she grasped into the hair tighter. This was fantastic, and was about to become even better. "Y-you sure?!"
"AH!" Blake half-screamed at the strain on her scalp. It was such a strangely satisfying pain, and she only felt more aroused from its presence. "Just... just let me..."
Stomach in knots, she brought her other hand around and immediately poured a generous drizzling of chocolate all over the hard length in front of her nose. The blonde's eyes shot open once more, and she was forced to let the woman's hair go for a moment. As much as she enjoyed the sensation of having a liquid being squeezed all over it, it was very...
"Cold! C-cold!"
"Yeah?" Blake breathed, already being driven absolutely wild by the mingling scents of heady arousal and decadent cocoa. Her carnal hunger increased exponentially, but she forced herself to merely breathe along the surface, allowing the scent to roll over her, to tingle on her taste buds as her mouth hung open like an animal. "You... don't like the cold syrup? Want me to warm it up?"
"Y-yes... Yes pleaseâŠ" But realising this sudden desperation to make herself warm again wasn't exactly going to turn her girlfriend on. Or more, keep her turned on. So the blonde reached her hand back into her hair again, trying her best to resist quivering when she added, "Show me what that mouth can do..."
Licking her lips, Blake set to doing exactly that. Nothing could have held her back after hearing such a thing from her lover. Immediately, her mouth stretched wide and took half of the entire shaft, slowly drawing back so as to more smear the chocolate than devour it, her tongue endlessly teasing the underside as she went.
"OooohhhâŠ" Yang found herself beginning to slide down the shelves very slightly, her legs beginning to quiver with joy. Once more, she was able to enjoy that sensation of being licked there, of having a whole mouth around her. This time, maybe without the teeth. Although this was different, Blake knew exactly where to lick. And where to apply the pressure. It was incredible! "Holy Shi- mmm, wow!"
A smile curled up the corners of Blake's mouth. It was working. Yang was enjoying this, it was actually working! Not wanting to waste any time, she very slowly began to move her head up and down around the length, moving her tongue as she did so and bringing her lips to about halfway down every time. That would do for now. Oh, how much more pleasurable the chocolate made everything! Even though she loved doing this for her partner, she loved doing it with an improved flavour even more.
Where did Blake learn this? And more importantly, if she learnt this, what else did she know? Were the current movements of her mouth her limit in these actions? Either way, Yang was curious to find out, but she was even more curious as to how much Blake wanted to be taken herself...
"Hmm... Will you... Want me to get you, when you're done? Huh? Pin you down... Keep touching you till you scream..."
"Mmhmmm!" was all Blake could answer for the time being. She was far too busy taking so much of Yang into her mouth, raising her fingers to press very lightly against the soft sack underneath. There was more skin to it than there had been to Ruby's, although it felt as if the orbs inside might be smaller. Her handling was too delicate for her to make a proper estimation, and she would have it no other way.
Her first instinct was the same as Ruby's, to instantly call "Gently!" out to her. But there was no need; Blake WAS gentle with her, very gentle. And although she much preferred contact to her length then to the orbs below, it was speeding along the process of things, helping her relax more.
"D-damn... Blake, you're so good at this!"
Pride flared up in her chest. Not just that she was doing the job, but doing it well - that was more than she could have asked for! Turns out her "training session" was a worthwhile effort after all. Her teasing fingers reached further back to the soft perineum between her sex and her rear entrance, pushing gently inward to the taut muscle that supported the erection. There was something deeply gratifying about finding that, and Blake moaned against the skin of her lover yet again.
Yang's eyes snapped wide open again, making her spread her legs even further apart so Blake could access that part of her more easily. It was beyond her control, but that feeling was incredible! And she only wanted more of it to continue whilst Blake paid attention to her length. But if this kept up, she would climax pretty soon!
But said actions were re-awakening a craving that had been building since she and Weiss had their encounter. For someone to enter into her while she was biologically male. What if someone was to poke there? No, she was too aroused. It wouldn't be fair for her to finish twice and not even finish Blake once.
However, the spreading of the legs was more of a red flag than Yang probably intended. As she continued to bob up and down on the length, she watched the thighs twitching, how much Yang was opening up. Did Yang want⊠that? Could Blake give that to her, could she stomach it? Nobody had ever touched her there, and she didn't think she wanted anyone to, either. However, if Yang really wanted it...
Perhaps just a test run. As her mouth began to slip three-quarters of the way down Yang's girth, feeling more of it in her throat than just purely in her mouth, she trailed her hand another inch further back, feeling the skin grow more and more taut.
As more of her length was being accepted into her mouth, Yang's head was just spinning. Over and over again she continuously moaned as a tongue moved over her length, on the underside, everywhere. Blake was incredibly skilled, so much she would have thought she had practice on many partners. Her arousal filled mind did nothing to stop Blake going further. In fact, so far she didn't notice it.
Not until the finger was just resting against her opening. The skin was slick and tight, and vaguely moist from their recent "activityâ. Blake couldn't believe she was actually touching another person in that area! Of course, she also couldn't believe she had a male organ thrusting into her mouth over and over, but then again it was hard to feel so shocked twice in one day.
And then Yang could feel where her finger was. The position opened up even more desire for her to be entered there, for her to want someone pounding into it with their own phallus. Was she losing her mind? But Blake's fingers were enough for now, and as they stroked the ever so sensitive skin there, she found herself moaning out rather loudly.
Apparently, it really did something for the bruiser, to feel a teasing there. Blake would have to remember that. For now, it was simply enough for her to continue going down on her girth as she prodded gently at the tightly-closed orifice.
Although... it was beginning to open. As it flexed and twitched, Blake got the distinct impression that an area she would never have thought to enter before was actively trying to let her in now. Even as she sped up her movements to match Yang's moans, she felt the fingertip actually sinking past the outer defenses. A mingling excitement and dread welled up in her. Would this be a good thing, or a huge mistake?
Yang was calling out so loudly, legs quivering without any signs of stopping; how could it be? She needed this, just as much as Blake needed her. Even as she felt herself starting to open a little, she attempted to back her rear against the finger trying to prod her, encouraging more to enter her.
But it might not be long until that was too late, as she could feel her stomach tighten. "B-Blake... I'm c-close!"
Something about the disbelief in the words made her mind focus on them. She was surprised by the suddenness of this climax - surprised, and maybe even disappointed. What did they both want? Blake thought she might want to be mounted... and that Yang might want to be mounted, too, despite her current biology. What should they do?
"Hey," she gasped as she withdrew Yang from her mouth completely, stroking furiously with the free hand as she took a break to breathe. "Do... I m-mean, what do you want me to do for you? This? Or... this?" To punctuate her last word, her finger pushed in very slightly, wriggling in the process.
"Hah⊠HahâŠ" Sweat was already dripping down her face. It was all too much to think about. What did she want now? If she had another person here, she could have both. But for now⊠the offer of being entered was so inviting. Especially as she backed herself against the finger again.
"I think... I want you inside."
Blake felt a strange thrill run through herself at that admission. She really wanted more of this strange act? Plus, she seemed highly ashamed of admitting it; that somehow made it that much hotter. Even if she hadn't said as much, her body was screaming it to the heavens with the firm cheeks pressing up against her wandering hand.
So she let it. Her hand held still as Yang backed onto it, pushing the single digit deeper and deeper inside. Warmth was in there, warmth and soft, vulnerable skin, and as much as she hated to admit it, the sensation of gliding her finger back and forth as she moved it was undeniably pleasant. Just feeling this part of her lover that would have otherwise gone unexplored brought yet more heat to the inside of her own legs. With or without Yang's help, she'd be finishing after this was over. Very soon after.
"Mmhh," Blake moaned as she swirled her tongue around the head again. "You... really love this, don't you? I c-can finish you off this way, if that's what you need..."
More eager sounds poured forth from the blonde's mouth. Blake was inside! Blake was finally satisfying her weird craving to have her ass invaded. Just the invasion she needed after that encounter that teased the area so much⊠Yes. That was what she needed to finish. Blake may had only just learnt how to treat the phallus properly, but now Yang really wanted attention to that amazing new area discovered.
"Yes, please do it, d-don't stop..."
"Okay!" she gasped eagerly - but she wasn't about to let her newfound knowledge fall by the wayside. As the finger waggled back and forth, again she took Yang's cock into her mouth, allowing the bucking hips to drive it deeper with every apex. Within mere seconds, she could feel blonde hairs against her lip. She was taking it all, every pulsating inch, and managing that while Yang made such unholy noises from being penetrated. There had never been anything more fantastic.
"Ah! AH! Holy shit... Holy Shit!" she couldn't help but begin to call out over and over, grasping Blake's hair once again to steady herself as she thrust into the woman's mouth and throat over and over. The finger pushing into her rear made things even worse, especially as it was brushing against the overly sensitive gland in there.
And then the climax came. Grasping Blake's head tightly, she couldn't help but deliver one last firm thrust into her mouth. Such a movement caused her to gasp, and forced the thick white liquid from her sex to come out, all of which was in the Faunus's mouth.
Which surprised Blake with the sheer amount pouring forth into her. Yes, Ruby had also done this, but perhaps the younger sister had been holding back out of some kind of reticence to actually climax in her presence. Yang had no such reservations, and loosed shot after thick shot into her throat. This time, Blake felt a gag reflex kick in, but she managed to force it down and swallow everything, though her eyes did begin to water.
'I did it,' she thought with mingling horror and pride. 'Never thought I would do this to one of these, but I did, and I made her come! M-maybe there's no reason for me to be scared of these, I guess... as long as it's attached to somebody as kickass as my Yang.'
The possessiveness of that last thought did frighten her a bit, but she shrugged it off as she began to swirl her well-coated tongue over the hot skin. Curiosity to see how Yang would react kept her from stopping just yet.
"Hah... Ah... B-Blake? I f-finishedâŠ" But the tongue wasn't stopping. She was continuing to lick her phallus all over, hitting the same spot again and again in her rear. Even when she tried to pull herself back, Blake held her in place...
What was this rigid little mass inside of Yang? It was soft on the outside of course, but just beneath it was a firm, defiant something, roughly the size and shape of a walnut. The problem was, while Yang was moving her hips backward, it more gave the impression that she wanted Blake to keep going with her finger than communicating that it was time for her to exit the mouth.
"B-Blake! S-Sto-aa-aaaaah!!" But as the finger pushed against her prostate once more, it was sending yet more pleasure through her. This was ridiculous! Could she come yet again?
However, the tongue gliding over her length made things clear. She couldn't. After this long, it was aching and in slight pain. She found herself having to tug the Faunus girl's hair back, drawing herself out of her mouth.
Worry shot through Blake when she was yanked away from her duties - and it was all she could do to hold her finger still instead of pulling it out too fast. Still pressing very gently against her new toy, she asked, "Do you... want me to stop this, too?" It was an earnest question, not a tease. Maybe Yang couldn't tell, but she was still grinding backward against the exploring digit.
Finally managing to catch her breath back again, Yang closed her eyes, only able to nod frantically as she attempted to bring herself away from the digit. Of course, to no avail. Her subconscious only wanted it too much.
This really was interesting. Yang loved the feeling. Not just thought it was "okay", but she craved more, even after a male orgasm - even with her sex clearly no longer aroused! She couldn't let this go quite yet. Stroking against the knot of pleasure faster than ever, she left a little kiss on the top of the slick length.
"I'll stop... right after you tell me what this is like. What you're feeling. Clearly you like it, so... so explain it to me."
Biting her lip firmly, Yang closed her eyes tight, attempting as best she could not to let Blake see how easy it was to have her under her thumb. Or more, under her finger. But she had to, for the sake of keeping her sanity; she had to give up and tell her.
"I-It's... You're in me, where I sh-shouldn't be entered⊠plus, that thing⊠whatever it is, that thing feels s-so good!!!"
So this was the way to bring Yang Xiao Long entirely under control: explore her hind opening. That information would have to be closely guarded... but she could make use of it herself now and again.
"Are you sure you... want me to stop?" Blake panted with unmistakeable heat, finger slowing in its endeavours. "I can just do this for you if it still feels good. We could..." Only now did she feel shy - partly because she was about to propose the very arrangement she and Ruby had tried mere hours ago. "You could work on me while I work on you, maybe? But I'll still pull out if you want, I just... love seeing you enjoying yourself."
Yang was somewhat torn. She wanted this to continue, she also wanted to take Blake. It would be rather difficult to do both without a particular toy for that sort of thing. Of course, she could always use her fingers... They could finger one another this way. If they were to lay on the ground, they could find decent positions also. What was there to lose?
"You know something? You're insatiable," she had to say with a grin, but finally agreeing. "Let's do it."
"Really?!" she burst out in disbelief. Then she cleared her throat and said, "Alright, you... if you move very slowly, we should be able to do this without me having to pull out of you."
For the time being, her finger's movements ceased as she tried to hold her hand perfectly still, looking up at Yang expectantly. This only continued to feel more and more dirty, but they were both enjoying themselves. What was the real harm?
Yang felt the same way. Even despite finishing already, she wanted this. And she wanted Blake to finish, as well; from how she looked, she'd been wanting this for too long. So, to keep her from waiting, she very gently began to kneel, pulling Blake with her at the same pace. This was the awkward part... But once they were down, only pleasure awaited them.
Once they were both kneeling, Blake seized an opportunity to dart in for a very hard kiss, semen-slicked lips grinding on lips, slightly-damp hand grasping at her neck. She was holding her body slightly away, but it was only so her pristine white shorts wouldn't come into contact with her partner's length.
Suddenly Yang was back out of control again. She had no option but to shift herself to hold her length away from her beloved partner. It was soaking wet, no wonder she wanted it away! Although when she felt Blake's tongue mingle against hers, she struggled to overcome the urge to pull away or gag. This was her own juices being exchanged in a kiss. And although the sensation wasn't⊠unpleasant , it wasn't exactly something she would ask for willingly.
And Blake felt it, of course - the hesitance to kiss her. Unsure of the reason but trying her best not to panic over what might be nothing, she drew back and whispered, "You okay?"
"Y-yeahâŠ" Although that was also hesitant. Although she was able to swallow Weiss's easily, and if she ever took the Dust, Blake's also; there was something about tasting her own that made her cringe. Made her feel sick. "M-maybe we shouldn't right now? I mean, I love kissing you, b-but..."
"Ohhhhhh," she breathed when she understood what Yang was referencing at last. "Because I have- yeah, that makes sense." And the she noticed the hips pushing back into her hand even more and she smirked. "Boy, either you're trying really hard not to get stains on my clothing, or you just really like my finger!"
"B-bit of both... Shut up!" She couldn't help but giggle again, but a firm thrust to her rear end soon shut her up, and coaxed out a soft sigh from her.
It also reminded her... Blake had been waiting for something. Trailing her hand down the woman's body slowly, she eventually placed the palm of her hand in between her legs, cupping the softness found there.
"Hmm... Just nice for the taking..."
The instant she was touched there, a guttural noise of pure need burst out of the Faunus's throat. God, she had almost forgotten how much her body needed this! It had only been pushed up against her body for a few seconds, and already she was rocking gently against the gloved palm, swaying visibly.
"You... oh, Yang... mmmhhHHHHHhh..."
"Wow... Are you SURE you ain't in heat?" she asked, but when no response was received, she continued to rub firmly against the soft skin under her clothes. She really didn't want to stain those, they were probably wet enough. "Maybe we should take these off, huh?"
Doing her best to keep the hand in Yang's rear from moving too much, she reached back with the other and began to unzip her shorts without any further discussion. There was no reason to delay in her heat-addled mind. Speaking of which... maybe she was in heat again. It would be unusual so soon, but all this constant stimulation could bring it on, in theory. Either way, she soon was down to her panties, the shorts lying on one of the nearby counters.
"Good girl... You don't mind these getting a little wet, do you?" She asked this as she pushed her hips forward, which in turn, pushed up her sex against Blake's panties. Soaked in Blake's saliva, and now getting a thin coating of whatever liquids Blake's arousal was making , she could already begin to feel herself getting harder again.
Amazed that Yang could recover so quickly, Blake began to grind her own hips forward - only to find her arm trapped between them. How could they do this? Was it physically possible?
"Can you... step over my arm?" she panted hotly. "S-so I'm reaching around from behind you, I... if we can do it, I want you to..." But she couldn't force herself to finish the sentence. It was too vulgar.
But Yang wanted to hear it. Not only was she interested in the instruction, but she wanted to hear Blake say the words.
"Don't be shy..." She smirked, leaning in closely. "I... want you to take me... while I take you." Looking down and away, it was all she could do to not actually stand up and flee the room. Cheeks red as fire, Yang stared at the woman below. She wanted to be taken, at long last she wanted to be taken by a male phallus. She had certainly come a long way.
But, there was a problem. "H-how is that gonna be possible?"
Blake's face was also glowing with both shame and excitement at what she had admitted to desiring, but she did her best to distract herself from that by examining their bodies. "If... you step over my arm and then lay on top of me, maybe... could I still reach, or is that not possible?"
"I-it might, but that sounds overly complicated. Look, let, try this." And then she made sure to lay herself on the floor, shifting herself back slowly to give Blake some room, being careful to not disturb the finger inside her opening. Raising her leg, she placed it on top of Blake's shoulder, whilst using her spare hand to then hold her phallus straight, to allow Blake to get into position.
Scissoring. How much more gay could this get?
"Ow," Blake grunted when the boot clomped onto her shoulder. Plus her arm was cramping from having to be this extended! But then she was distracted by the sight before her: a mostly-erect glistening sex pointed straight at her while a finger stayed deep inside of her rear. It was both shameful and beautiful. Swallowing thickly, she reached down and began to remove her panties for the second time that day.
"Is... does it feel much different than with a strap-on?" she asked baldly, unable to use more decorum than that in the moment.
"Heh, um... I've never tried the strap-on on myself... But it seems the same," Yang admitted, finding herself looking down slightly as Blake also prepared to get into position. This was going to be difficult, but if done right it would pay off well. Especially if Yang was in such a submissive state.
Now that she was laid bare, Blake felt her cat-ears attempting to pin themselves back. Yang could see all of her, would be able to watch as she was slowly entered by a thick, wet arousal. It would be completely degrading with anyone else in her opinion. So, to distract herself from that prospect...
"Have you ever taken one in here?" she asked as her finger began to prod the knot of nerves inside Yang. "Real or fake?"
Had it been anyone else, and had the finger not been present, Yang would have answered rather abruptly. Had it been a casual romp like she used to with men she'd meet, she would have probably delivered a slap across the face for asking such a question. But now, the submissive Yang was powerless to deliver any other answer.
"No." She groaned, keeping her sex straight so Blake could slide on easily. "No... Not yet."
Another thing to file away for future contemplation; Yang was an "anal virgin" in a manner of speaking. The heavy-lidded look in the blonde's features, the way her cheeks burned red and her breath came in shaky gasps... it was the lowest she had ever seen her brought. Blake could probably do anything in the world to her right now. Maybe she wouldn't abuse that position... but she could have a teensy bit of fun with it.
"You know," Blake went on as she stroked Yang's inner spot, "I really like the way your chest moves when we're doing things. Really wish I could see it right now..."
So Blake wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of having her phallus go inside her yet. Not until she got what she wanted. "You... Want my top off, don't you?"
"Yes, I do." With a slight shrug of the shoulder that wasn't working on Yang's behind, she muttered, "N-not that you have to just because it's what I want, that's not how I meant it at all..."
As her behind was prodded even further, she was becoming undone once again. Blake had her wrapped around her little finger. Giving into the demand, she quickly reached up to her top, pulling it over her shoulders and tossing it aside. And from there, she then went to unclasp her bra, soon throwing that aside as well. Anything to get her more of what she needed.
"Oooh," Blake said aloud at seeing the large, smooth mounds bounce free of their trappings. Maybe it was obscene of her to admit it, even to herself, but she was both envious of them and glad that she had easy access to being allowed to see and play. In the spirit of that...
It wasn't easy, but Blake was able to lean in and press her mouth against one erect nipple, taking care not to thrust her hand too hard as she reoriented her body. The thick arousal was now pressing up against her short dark pubic hairs, and the slick wetness of it only spurred her to work even harder at the skin under her mouth.
Humming contently, and leaning her head right back in pleasure, Yang simply allowed Blake to take over. Such actions were indeed bringing memories back of her first few encounters, how nervous she was, how she allowed men to take the lead. She was allowing Blake to do the same, to pleasure her body in all different ways. And she was powerless to stop it. All she could to was whisper her name.
Hearing that word on Yang's lips was such an aphrodisiac! Little by little, her hips began to move until she was grinding against Yang's thigh, feeling the arousal brush through her hairs. Truth be told, she could probably easily finish in this manner... but she decided that probably wouldn't be fair to either of them.
"Are you ready?" she breathed, looking up with wide eyes at Yang from below her breast, a near-feral light of lust in them. "Do... do you need me?"
Driven wild by desire, and a craving for the unknown, Yang sighed contently, keeping her eyes closed as she tried to relax herself as much as possible. This would be intense. "I need you⊠only you."
The nearly-naked body of her lover called to Blake so much that she couldn't take it another moment. Reluctantly pulling away from the soft, inviting chest, she pulled back to a sitting position and hiked the leg yet higher.
"You know... there's something cute about your soft little balls from this angle," she breathed with a slight chuckle.
Right away she wanted to cover them, or cover her face. Anything to escape the embarrassment. Why couldn't Blake just begin without this teasing torture? Unable to help herself, she felt her sex throbbing slightly against the woman's skin. She was eager to be inside.
"P-please?"
Sensing that her comment might have been too far, Blake swallowed and reached down to brush over them lightly with her other hand. "I m-mean, they're so large, and strong! Just like your cock!"
Admittedly, Yang appreciated the comments from the Faunus. Weiss only ever insulted her male sex, told her it wasn't as good as hers. Yes, it was to make their play more intense; but it did slightly harm her confidence when she possessed this form. But Blake was making her feel good, making her feel pretty even with said object. It was a feeling better than any sex she could get.
Indeed, Blake's comment had not been intended as "emasculating", even though Yang was not a man. She thought the gentle shape of her sack was appealing, like a dessert or a small animal. Her phrasing had simply come off as insulting. But perhaps her subsequent words and actions had helped enough to mend the damage.
"And... I've never had anything that big in my mouth," she continued as she tugged the shaft forward, aiming it in her own direction. "So hard and perfect..."
Biting her lip, Yang completely relaxed herself, bracing for what was to come. She could only hope that Blake was to satisfy her at last, like she was waiting for. "T-then let me take youâŠ"
"Yes, please. I... I want you to have my virginity." Already mortified that she had said such a thing, Blake decided to push the head up against her slick entrance to end their talk. "Ohhhh..."
"Aaaah," Yang sighed in unison, placing both of her hands on Blake's hips to hold her steady. That was a point she hadn't considered; Blake was a virgin. She had the strap-on inside her, but to a real phallus, she was a virgin. This was her very first time.
And Yang was to share this moment with her.
Slowly, carefully, the thick flesh was beginning to slide inside of her. There was no need for teasing or further foreplay; she was already dripping wet in a literal sense by now. There were tiny rivulets of damp all over Yang's inner thigh. The satisfaction at feeling her lover begin to enter her body could not be described, but it was on a deeper level than anything she'd felt before.
"Mmmm, Yang, you're so... itâs huge..."
"You're so⊠warm ." She was. The inner walls of Blake Belladonna were warm and wet, silken. She felt good in them. Was it strange to say, safe within her. But the feeling of pleasure was far too overwhelming for her to dwell on it, and as more of her entered, she began to let out yet another moan.
"Oh, I- oh, OHHHHH!!" The half-moan, half-scream was unavoidable when Yang pushed all the way into her - or more precisely, when she pushed Yang all the way into her. The blonde was in no position to do much with that finger where it was. Blake was just scarcely able to keep it in there with her legs almost in the way, by draping the one over Yang's waist and stretching out the other as far as she could get it. Which was fairly far, given her catlike grace. This was too much. It was everything.
Only able to speak through rather fierce sounding grunts and snarls, Yang gradually pushed herself against the finger once again, attempting to push more of it inside her. Perhaps it wasn't what she should be focusing on, especially when Blake was taking her virginity with Yang's length right before her; but how could she help it? This was all too good!
Feeling the hips grinding back against her hand, Blake redoubled her grip on Yang's rear end and forced the finger as deep as she could possibly go. Yes, part of her regretted that the union of their sexes could not wholly inhabit center stage, but she didn't mind prodding that vulnerable part inside of Yang a single bit.
"You... Yang, is this good for you?! Do you love this?!"
She could only nod, growling away once more as the finger penetrated her even deeper. The muscles of her backside were tightening against her finger to keep her there, as were those in her stomach. Not now... Not when Blake was so close!
"I-I'm⊠gonna... AhâŠ!"
Really? Again, this soon after the last one? It seemed Blake had discovered a lethal combination of stimulations - ones that were guaranteed to cause Yang to climax. Maybe, if she pushed hard enough for it, she could bring about three of them in a row. On the other hand, that might just be greedy, or impossible, or harmful to her partner. Not worth trying today.
Therefore, she slowed down her prodding in the rear and sped up her hips, feeling the mass shift inside of her. It was everything she had imagined and nothing she had dreaded, which was such a relief to her that she started laughing, light and high and laced with moans.
The finger slowing down was such a relief. Although she enjoyed the sensation of the prodding and stroking of that gland, it felt all too much for her. Perhaps they would explore that area more in the future â maybe with a strap-on, or either Blake or Weiss having taken the Dust.
But her partner's laugh was contagious! When was the last time she saw Blake smile like that, or laugh that loudly? The dance, probably. Either way, it made the blonde grin, and even start to laugh and moan as well. "O-okay⊠I admit... You're good! S-so good..."
"It is good! It's... it's you, no matter how we do it!" And with no more than that, Blake began to throw herself down onto Yang's sex with reckless abandon, faster and faster until her head began to swim, her legs and arm trembling with the effort of keeping everything going. Her own orgasm was within reach; it had been building for hours, after all.
"I... I'm gonna finish! Are you?!"
With a few more moans, and using the hands on her hips to pull her onto her sex over and over, Yangâs climax was at hand once again. She really couldn't get enough. "Yes! Yes I am! Th-throw yourself at me, make me feel it!!!"
"Yeah! Yeah, you'll feel it!" But she didn't mean what Yang meant. Once she already felt Yang's movements begin to get more erratic and the cock throbbing inside her, once she felt her own flesh crying out for sweet release, she began attacking the thick knot of nerves inside of Yang anew, going at it for all she was worth. This was going to be the mother of all climaxes.
"W-WHOA! Blake, Blake!!! BLAAAYAAAAAH!" Stroking that gland once more was all too much! She needed release again, and she needed it while she was inside Blake, and Blake was inside her.
Then it came. Once again, she found muscles tightening and quivering all over, and felt the thick, hot seed pouring out of her and into her lover as she thrust away on top. Her only hope was that Blake also got the release she needed, and deserved.
Which she did. Never before had Blake felt an orgasm quite like this, one borne of such a prolonged denial that it resulted in an explosion of pure ecstasy. Feeling the object deep inside her actually throbbing of its own accord somehow only increased her pleasure instead of detracting from it as she would have expected. Even feeling the soft mass inside Yang helped heighten her joy.
Finally, what felt like hours later, her movements ceased and she lay there in front of Yang, back crooked slightly so her hand remained inside. "Ohhhh... oh, wow..."
Yang was lost for words. Literally, in the case of her panting loudly and finally laying herself back. But once more, she felt that finger right against the gland within. This time, she meant it. "O-okay... I'm done now... Jesus Blake, you know how to wear a girl out."
"Yeah, I... found your... 'on' button..." She chuckled slightly, which soon set off a cough - probably something to do with her throat being dry as a bone. "You... is it really that good? In there? I mean, you can... tell me honestly now that we... already... you know."
"Hnnn... C-could do with it out now." After two orgasms in quick succession, the frantic movement caused by the cough caused her to feel rather sore in two different areas, and was rather uncomfortable. "While I love it, it can be too much..."
"Sorry!" Not sure what the problem was, Blake elected to withdraw both her finger and Yang's cock in the same moment, pulling both out at a steady pace. "NnhhhAH!"
With the finger exiting so quickly, she groaned rather loudly. Which only went on longer as she felt her thick sex withdrawing from her. Until at last, she was free.
Lying back and staring at the lighting rigs high above her, the Faunus took stock of her life. That had been one wild experience, but at the same time, it was mostly normal, save for where that finger had wound up. Even if Yang didn't have an artificially-created phallus at the moment, the position they had been in would have worked - at least, according to most of the reading she had done on the subject of lesbian sex.
"You... okay?" she finally gasped at Yang.
Mind clouded with pleasure, and thanks to her exhaustion; Yang had to take a moment to herself just to pant and regain her energy. Thank goodness she was on the floor to do that, and didn't have to keep herself on the bowl. After such time, she moved her leg off the Faunus's shoulder.
"Yeah... God, that was tiring, though."
"A good tiring?" Blake tried to roll her head to one side so as to look at Yang, but couldn't quite manage it. "Was... everything good? Was I good?" Maybe that was a bit selfish of her to ask right after, but Blake needed to ask.
"Good? Holy shit, you were amazing ." She grinned again, sitting herself back up and scooting her self back over to her to her clothes. As much as she wanted to remain naked for Blake, she wouldn't risk getting yet another detention.
And Blake eagerly watched her body move. Without the heady arousal clouding her judgement, now it was purely the aesthetics of her partner, every generous curve and stretch of smooth skin. The slight bounce of muscled flesh with every step and turn - even including her softening member, which wouldn't have been a pleasant sight to her before today. It was like watching a goddess come to the mortal plane.
"So are you," she finally answered in a husky voice, fully aware that she used present tense instead of past. She wasn't referring to only the sex anymore.
The compliment made the blonde smile, and brought more heat to her cheeks. How could she have ever questioned her feelings for Blake before all this? Blake was a wonderful partner, a fantastic lover, and all in all, a great girlfriend. And although she enjoyed time with Weiss as well, she truly adored Blake. Maybe they did need another conversation about this.
"Sssso!" Blake grunted as she sat up, head spinning for just a moment until she took a few breaths. "Whew! I mean... should we go get a cage for the Pox if you really want to set it free in the forest?"
Truth be told, she nearly forgot about little 'Remmie', who was probably still trying to get out of the bowl in the kitchen. Starting to chuckle, she slid on her underwear, then her shorts. "Yeah... Would probably be a good idea."
"Awwww," Blake sighed as she pushed herself to standing - and then found her legs were shaking. Yang had literally made her weak in the knees! "I'm gonna miss looking at your butt."
"Gonna miss looking at yours as well." She winked, then quickly snapping her bra back on to 'restrain the ladies', they'd certainly been bouncing for long enough. But noticing Blake was quivering so badly made her grin even more. Seemed the Faunus girl really did enjoy being handled rough. "I think we'll have to do this again."
"Y-yeah," Blake laughed, only slightly nervous at a thought that would have terrified her a few days ago. "I mean, either with the real thing or that strap-on toy of yours." As she pulled her panties and shorts back up into place, she tried to sound very casual with her next question. "Do you still have that?"
"The strap-on? Of course. Hey, that needs a name, too. I'm thinking something like âThe VikingâŠâ" She winked again, at last fully dressing herself as she paced toward the kitchen, wanting to check on her new "friend".
The brunette's fingers slipped off one of her zippers. "The Viking?! Seriously?" But she found herself laughing as she paced toward the sink to wash one of her hands that happened to need more attention than the other. Much as she loved Yang, this was one way in which she had no desire to remain âdirtyâ. "What about... 'Yang Xiao Schlong'?"
"Oooh, you're good," she chuckled, delivering a playful slap to her lover's rear. And then her attention was back to the bowl, which didn't seem to have moved from its spot. Either the beast was asleep, or the bowl was no match for its scurrying. "How are we gonna sneak him outta here?"
Still giggling from the slap - and feeling a very mild resurgence of arousal that she chose to ignore - Blake thought about that as she dried her hand. "Well... if we can get it back to the room, I'm sure Ruby could loan us that backpack she put that mutt of yours in."
"Hey, Zwei isn't a mutt! He's one hundred percent pure breed of Awesome." But that was a good plan, so long as the beast didn't manage to bite through the material. "Yeah, sounds alright. I think Weiss will crap herself, though. What if we kept it in one of our lockers? That way, it could make it all the way to the camping trip."
"Maybe we shouldn't let the heiress know about it; would save us some stressful conversation." Then she offered her elbow to the blonde. "Ready? Or do you want to get a snack before we go?"
"âŠIce cream sandwich." Before even explaining that to her, she quickly paced toward the freezer, very quickly taking two of the packets before she rushed back to her partner, and linking her arm with hers. "I'm ready now, milady."
"Okay," Blake laughed quietly as they moved toward the door, heart bursting with affection for her battle partner. "And thanks for getting me one, too."
"Oh... one for you. Right." Yang turned to go back to the freezer.

RWBY.EXE Chap 2
Fandom: RWBY Characters: Team RWBY, Team JNPR Word Count: 2956
So, I started an AU before, but never went anywhere with it. I tend to do that. However, I happen to know one person who liked the idea, and today is their birthday. So happy birthday @tinyblakey, wrote another chapter. Enjoy. (first chap here).
"Got three today." Yang says. "Some ursi bugging people out near forever fall, and a group of creeps and beowulves tearing up the Emerald forest. Last and not least a big nevermore shadow has been seen passing over the whole area, not all at once though, so keep a look out for that."
"Will do. Where to first?"
"Let's check out the ursi. We haven't seen good old forever fall in a while."
"Cool, I like it there. Very pretty." Ruby says, skipping off towards the forest.
"Of course you do, everything's your favorite color."
"Yep. And the leaves always falling makes it pretty neat." She says. They continue to chat for a while as Ruby walks, eventually making it to the teleporter that connects them. Stepping into it she's warped away.
When her senses returned to her she was on a small silver pad in the middle of a sea of red. Dark brown trees surrounded her, all of them filled with red leaves that were constantly falling and being replaced by new ones. Taking in a deep breath she started heading forward.
"See anything?" Yang asks.
"Nope." Ruby says, "You?"
"Not a thing. They were a little ways away supposedly, so it might be a bit."
A few shots echo through the forest just then. "Or not." Ruby says, taking off in a run towards them. "Yang."
"On it." Yang says, "Boost chip, in." She says as she sticks a chip into the scroll.
As soon as she did Ruby felt it, a burst of speed and energy sending her flying forward in a rush. It faded and she picked back up the run, now a lot closer. Soon enough she came to a stop just outside a small clearing, seeing a navi already there.
"Is that Pyrrha?" Yang asks.
"Yep." Ruby says.
She watched as Pyrrha fought, a number of ursi already coming for her. She fired a few shots with what looked like a rifle, slowing down one grimm before it shifted into its melee form, and she stabbed one in the stomach, causing it to disperse as it was deleted. Ducking she avoided a swipe from a third and jumped, kneeing it in the jaw before bringing her spear down on it, deleting it as well. Now the other one was coming at her again, more cautiously though.
"Jaune, I would advise a cannon chip." She says. A few seconds later and nothing happens. "Jaune?"
Ruby holds out her hands, crescent rose forming in its compact form. Holding it in her arms she fired past Pyrrha, hitting the grimm right in the head and blowing it apart, causing it to disperse a moment later. "Gotcha covered." She says.
"Oh, hello." Pyrrha says. "I didn't see you there."
"Yeah she kinda blends in." Yang says, a screen appearing over Ruby's shoulder.
"Hey guys." Ruby says.
"Hi, it's Yang right? And Ruby?" Jaune says, a screen coming up over Pyrrha's shoulder as well.
"Yep."
"Looked like you had a bit of trouble there." Yang says.
"Uh yeah, couldn't find the right chip."
"Classic mistake." Yang says, "Has happened to everyone. Gotta memorize your layout."
"Just takes practice." Ruby says.
"Yeah, right." Jaune says, "Just glad I've got Pyrrha. At least I know no one's gonna get deleted when I make those mistakes."
"You did very well, Jaune." Pyrrha says, "One mistake does not discount other successes."
"Looks like you guys took care of this then?" Ruby says.
"No, I believe there was-" A loud explosion echoes out, causing a stutter in the air above a few trees, "more."
"Last one Renny, don't let it get away!" A voice cries out. Just a moment later an ursa stumbles into the clearing, clearly running away from something, only to be destroyed by an explosion that caused Ruby's cape to flutter. "Got it!" Nora says, jumping into the clearing. "Oh, hiya."
"Hello." Pyrrha says.
"Hey." Ruby raises a hand.
"Did you guys see that? It just blew apart like, Bam!" Nora says.
"They saw." Ren says, his face appearing as the others had.
"Right. Well I'm gonna go." Ruby says.
"Already?" Nora asks. "But we haven't gotten to share awesome grimm stories yet!"
"You can share with Pyrrha." Ruby says, gesturing to her, "We were kinda hunting, and you guys killed all the ones here, so we're going to the Emerald forest. Get rid of the one's there."
"Ohhhh, okie dokie." Nora says, "C'mon Pyrrha, I bet you got awesome stories."
"Um, a few." Pyrrha says.
"Awesome. See ya." Ruby says, turning and heading away as Pyrrha was dragged off by Nora.
"Soo, what was that you were saying about how you actually tried talking to people?" Yang asks.
"Hey, I don't have to do it now." Ruby says, "I'll make friends later. Now is for grimm fighting."
"Right." Yang says, "If we didn't actually have a job lined up I'd make you turn around right now."
"Well we do, so nyeh." She sticks her tongue out.
"I'm just trying to help."
"I know." Ruby says, "There's a warp straight to Emerald forest here, right?"
"I see you changing the subject." Yang says, "But yeah, there is. Just a bit ahead. Angle left just a touch."
"Got it." Ruby says, adjusting accordingly. Soon enough she found the warp pad, the glow giving it away despite being covered in leaves to blend in. Stepping on she once again was whisked away, almost instantly appearing in a nearly identical location, except this time filled with green instead of red. "Wow that's a bit disorienting."
"Really? You've been through a warp pad hundreds of times."
"I mean just from the red to the green."
"Oh, yeah probably."
âSo they anywhere close?â
âShould be nearby. Closer than the ursi were at least.â
âAlright Iâll keep my eyes and ears open.â Ruby says.
âOf course you will.â Yang says.
Ruby walks a bit farther before stopping. âI hear something.â She says, focusing her attention. âItâs⊠darn.â She sighs.
âWhat is it?â Yang asks.
âFighting. Someone else got this one too.â She says.
âDang it.â Yang says, âWell letâs go see if they need help.â
âRight.â Ruby says, hurrying ahead in a jog toward the sound. Soon enough she sees some grimm among the trees, and then a shadow flits through them, slicing through one. Then it lands and Ruby realizes who it is.
âHer again?â Yang asks, âSecond time in two days they did this to us.â
âYeah.â Ruby says as she keeps watching, Crescent Rose forming in her left hand. Two more grimm go down, one to blades and one to a Vulcan gun. Then one breaks off from the group and rushes towards her. She raises her gun and fires, blasting its head off easily, as well as alerting everything else to her presence.
To her credit, Blake didnât even stop. She ducked under a beowulfâs swing and stabbed it, and then turned, lobbing a bomb with her free hand at a creep. She then turned and fired a pistol on her blade at a Beowulf, killing it, before bringing up a shield that deflected a creeps attack and sent the damage right back at it.
âTheyâre good.â Ruby says.
âWork well together.â Yang added.
âI donât think they need our help.â
âWe still can anyway.â
âTrue.â Ruby says, drawing crescent rose into its full form.
âReady?â
âOh yeah.â
âGo.â Yang says.
Ruby rushes forward and jumps, burying the blade into a beowulfâs back as she lands, and then fires to pull it out as the virus disintegrates. She lets it spin around her arm before adjusting and swinging it at an incoming creep, splitting it in half.
âFire pillar, go!â Yang calls out.
As the data is sent Ruby turns, seeing a small group of grimm. She raises an arm and three pillars of fire burst forth in their direction, one after the other, until they hit the grimm. Then shifts crescent rose back into its gun form, firing at the few left standing.
âBehind you.â Yang calls out.
Ruby fires at the ground as she jumps, back flipping over a Beowulf whose claws dug into the ground just where she had been. As soon as her feet touch the ground she jumps again, repeating it to dodge another coming from the side as Crescent Rose transforms once more. When she lands she hooks the blade over the nearest Beowulf and fires, taking out the first with a shot while the recoil rips the blade through the second.
âImpressive.â A voice says from behind her, and Ruby turns around to see Blake standing there, the place now clear of grimm.
âOh, uh thanks.â She says, Crescent Rose disappearing as she put a hand behind her head. âYou guys were good too.â
âOf course.â Weiss says, a screen appearing over Blakeâs shoulder with her image. âSo why are you here?â
âBounty hunting.â Yang says from her own screen over Rubyâs shoulder. âWanted to clear out some grimm. Seems theyâre all taken though.â
âSo why are you still here then?â Weiss asks.
âJust lending a hand.â Yang says, âWhy, is that a problem?â
âWe donât need help.â Weiss says.
âNever said you did, just thought weâd be nice. No need to get your panties in a twist, Ice Queen.â
âExcuse me?â
âCalm down.â Blake says, âI donât think they meant any harm.â She gives a nod to them. âThank you.â
âYeah, no problem.â Ruby says.
âRight.â Yang adds. âGuess weâll leave you to it then. Come on, Ruby.â
âOh, sure.â She says, giving a wave. âSee you in class.â As she started to walk away though, a shadow passed over them, causing her to stop. âWhat was that?â
âClouds?â Yang offers.
âYang weâre on the net, there arenât any clouds without us knowing.â Ruby says, looking around.
âHave you tried looking up?â Weiss asks, causing her to do so.
âWow.â Ruby says, looking up as a nevermore circles back over them. âThatâs a big grimm.â
âNeed help with that one?â Yang asks.
âAs a matter of fact-â
âSure.â Blake says, interrupting Weiss. âIâm not getting deleted for your pride.â
âHmph, fine.â Weiss huffs.
âWe should hurry.â Ruby says, as it swoops down, destroying a few trees and leaving a hole that led to nowhere. âLike now.â Crescent Rose reappears in her hands.
âSheâs right.â Blake says, âWho knows what kind of damage it will do.â
âIt can fly, what do you expect to do?â Weiss asks.
âCannons?â Yang suggests.
âAgainst something of that size?â
Ruby looks around quickly as it flies again, circling the area. âThink think thinkâŠâ She says. âI have a plan. Yang, weâll draw it out, over there.â She points to a small overpass road. âYou guys have any crash chips?â
Blake gives a small smile as she understands what Ruby is thinking. âWeâve got just the thing.â
âAlright, get into position then.â Ruby says, turning and running. Blake moves beside her for a moment before taking off in another direction. She runs up, just underneath the overpass, but not quite hidden. As the nevermore circles back around she hefts up Crescent Rose. âYang, something potent.â
âGotcha.â Yang says, âMissile in!â She says, slapping a chip into the scroll.
Ruby aims carefully, following itâs movements for a moment before firing. Instead of a usual shot, a missile bursts forth, flying at the grimm. A moment later it made contact, exploding right against its head. With a loud screech it turns and angles down at her, coming in fast.
âHope your girl knows what sheâs doing.â Yang says.
âSheâll be fine.â Weiss says, holding a data chip between her index and middle fingers. âGet ready, Blake.â
âOn my mark.â Blake says from her spot on the overpass, just above where Ruby was. She leaned in, lowering herself a bit as the nevermore rushed in. âNow!â she says, jumping into the air. As she does Weiss slips the chip in, giving her a boost into the air. Below them the nevermore crashes through the overpass sheâs been on, taking out a large chunk of the ground below with it as well. Drawing back an arm Gambol Shroud forms in her hand and she throws the scythe at it, drawing herself in with the ribbon as it rises up.
She lands on its back as it circles around, quickly spotting the small red dot it was aiming for. âWeâre gonna have to time this right.â She says, âBe ready.â Gripping the feathers tight to keep from flying off she crouches low as it moves in, holding on tight to keep from being thrown off as it closes in on the ground. Closer and closer it got untilâŠ
âQuake, in!â Weiss says as she pushes the chip into her scroll.
As she does Blake jumps back, letting the nevermore come out from under her just as a giant weight appeared over it, falling down onto itâs back and bringing the nevermore down with it.
âYang now!â Ruby cries out, holding Crescent Rose pointed behind her and down.
âBoost in!â Yang says, slamming the chip into place, then almost immediately after, âWide sword!â
Ruby fires, the chip combining with Crescent Rose to launch her at great speeds, rose petals trailing behind her as she shot up to meet the falling nevermore. The blade of Crescent Rose glowed with the extra chip giving it strength. She fired again as she swung while she flew at the grim, taking its head off in one smooth motion as she passed it. Still rising she put one foot on the large, cylindrical weight and jumped off of it, hanging in the air for a moment before she began to fall.
âHave her land near Blake.â Weiss says.
âWhy?â Yang asks.
âJust trust me. Sheâll be fine.â
âYou hear her Ruby?â
âYeah.â Ruby says, âI can see her, should be easy.â She says as she guides her fall as best she can. As she approaches where Blake stood on the ground she sees a large part of it glowing purple and moves to land just on the outer edge of it, not able to get any closer. When she got close she felt her speed decrease even as she fell, until she came to an easy stop floating just above the purple area. A moment later it vanished and she was set onto the grown.
âAnti-gravity chip.â Blake says.
âNot bad.â Yang says, âWe usually go for a well-timed boost, sometimes a float.â
âIsnât that a bit risky?â Weiss asks.
âNot really, we know what weâre doing.â Yang says, âBesides, float is basically just a one-person version of that thing youâve got.â
âYes but mine lasts a lot longer, in case you time it improperly.â
âYeah, we donât do that, do we Ruby?â
âNope.â Ruby says, âI mean, we had to practice, but we got it down.â
âItâs still better to have the extra time just in case something happens.â Weiss says.
âNah, keeps our skills sharp.â Yang says. âLike a trust fall.â
âIâm sure.â Weiss says, âAnyway, it seems the beast is gone now. The area seems to be relatively clear for the moment.â
âYep. SoâŠâ Yang says, âAbout the bounty on it.â
âYou can have it.â Blake says easily.
âBlake!â Weiss protests, âThat hardly seems fair. You did more work.â
âShe played bait, thatâs dangerous. Besides, itâs not like we need the money. Even if we did we already have the other bounty we completed before they got here.â She says.
âUgh, fine.â Weiss concedes.
âAwesome!â Yang cheers, âNow you, you I like.â She says.
âUh, thanks.â Ruby says, âWeâll just, um, be going then. Yang?â
âYeah we need to go pick that up.â She says. âSee you guys later. Itâll be faster if you jack out, Ruby.â
âAlright, see you then.â Ruby says and waves before she disappears in a blink of light.
âŠ
Ruby walked along easily, looking around as she headed over the digital roads with a spring in her step.
âYou know it would have been faster to just jack out.â Yang says, âWeâve already got the bounty.â
âI know.â Ruby says, âBut I like it. Being out in the world with all this stuff around to see. Itâs nice.â She says.
âDoesnât seem like thereâs a ton of stuff to see to me.â Yang says.
âWell thatâs just cause-â Ruby starts, but stops as she spots a gathered crowd. âWell thereâs that.â She says, heading over to it. Looking around she spots a large hole in the road, seeing the endless void of digital space below it. A few navis were injured as well, too injured to jack out even it seemed as they were being treated nearby. âWhat happened here?â She asked, âGrimm?â
âYou didnât hear?â someone beside her says, a basic navi with little customization, green and yellow, but with a moderately human face. âWhite Fang attack. They put a bomb right there. Deleted three navis.â
âWow.â Ruby says, looking over at the whole again.
âGeez, theyâve gotten big.â Yang says, âUsually stick to the outskirts or the dark web; donât hit the center like that.â
âCrazy jerks, probably corrupted.â Comes another voice, an operator of one of the nearby navis it seemed. âThis is what happens when navis donât have operators.â
Ruby glances over at the navi with the operator over his shoulder and then steps back from the group. âI think Iâm done for now.â She says, âYang?â
âYeah, alright, I gotcha. Come on, we can play a game.â She says, âJack out.â She adds and once again Ruby vanishes in a beam of light, leaving behind the large hole and all that came with it.
