I hate using the word "transmasc" for myself bc I do not consider the ways in which I aim to transition to be "masculinizing". The effects of T HRT I desire are things that I associate with women, are ways I connect to femininity, are things I've always loved in other women. The idea that wanting more body hair, a voice that rumbles deeper, a dick makes me any more masc makes me bristle. I'm being pendantic to a degree, but still the idea that any physical traits make someone masc or fem seems so contrary to transness at its core. Tits don't make someone a woman, being a woman makes someone a woman. I don't have a masc gender, I don't consider the traits I desire masc

Even when I did have a masc gender and did not feel like or want to be a woman, the term kind of rubbed me wrong for those reasons- the only thing about T that is masc is that I desired it in a masc way, it's not inherent to T
