THIS TOOK ME A MONTH! this drawing is sorta a love letter to my ttrpg characters/campaigns that i played in the same group over 4 years. I WANTED to finish it before I left for college,,,, but that didn’t happen. So. Yeah.

I come onto this blog to post this one image of Them, the blorbos, and then leave once more. Extended ramble about these two under the cut.

(Bishop (top right) is @caffeinatedwriters's character, and Hybrid (bottom left) is my character :D)

The GM keeps being like "How do you have that much harm?" every time I mention a Tier 1 Harm becomes a Tier 2 Harm on Hybrid's sheet. It's because all of my downtime goes to stress reduction and I simply Do Not Perceive its two Tier 1 Harms (currently, at the moment, Hybrid has one saving Bishop from Ghost-Salia and another from ritual shenanigans).

Bodyguard is a very useful ability that I yoinked from another playbook, now I can gain Even More Harm and have a decent chance of actually clearing 1 stress in the process (unless it's under Resolve, in which case L + Ratio + 1d Resolve attribute rating). The small shred of Hybrid's humanity left also wants to protect Bishop (and the others but mainly Bishop) for saving him from monstrous insanity.

Bishop also ends up on the floor too though because he's got the job of snapping his mind in two to prevent the rest of the party from gaining more trauma (as well as himself, given he's in a state of sudden death with trauma now). But he's a hypocrite and gets roasting privileges because, to be fair, Hybrid did say that it was going to try to find their balance and went in the opposite direction of that.

At one point Valfrey was tricked into hating dark matter with a burning passion. For many years they made it their mission to wipe the species out, only to find out that they had been deceived. Now they're more accepting of those of the matter most dark, however they do not regret any of their past actions as it isn't an emotion they can feel.

Late to the party Second-chance Round 2 propaganda time! I was cheering for both @moonmacabre01's Fondue and @m0x1ez's Moonstone, so going against both in one round was sad...!

But it wasn't hard to come up with a funny scenario for the two Dark Matter-possessed fairies (half-fairy in Noir's case) and Dedede's best chef. Especially after finding out about the existence of THIS dessert from the Hoshi no Kirby ~ Okashi na Sweet Island picture book!

Are Vezzpa and Escargoon (as well as everyone else in the castle) aware of what Dark Matter did to Dedede? If not, what were their reactions to it?

(Surely Dedede would inform all of castle DDD right?)

Ohoho trust me! EVERYONE would be in the know if DDD got possessed by Dark Matter. He's not often subtle in his methods, as his M.O is possessing an already emotionally unstable individual, feasting off of their negative emotions and energy (sadness, fear, hate, anger ect-) whilst going around in his new meatsuit, and making everyone in the area also miserable. Further expanding his energy intake from his surroundings as well as his vessel, like a negativity tumor. it's why he was such a massive problem back in the day during the war between the star warriors and N.M.E. As he would just hang around battlefields and feast off of all the hatred and terror caused by warfare. To the point Nightmare was terrified of Dark Matter's power. But now that the war's over and N.M.E went kaput, DM had been up-shit's creek without a paddle in terms of a powerful+stable food-source... Until, he came across a big ol' spoiled brat of a king with the untapped strength of a landslide... He's been smitten ever since.

Playlist cover for The Left and Right Hand, a playlist which combines both of the character playlists for Bishop (character owned by @caffeinatedwriters) and Hybrid (character owned by me).

The sketch (and Caff's initial response to it) actually was what gave me the motivation to finish this. I had fun working on it, even at the cost of losing quite a few hours of sleep (didn't go to bed until 7 am oops). I really love these two's dynamic, which can't be really described easily other than as "100k slowburn from work friends to real friends."

Do they make each other worse? Absolutely; this is Duskvol, after all,. Also, we're talking about a crow demon's charity project and a rakshasa. Nothing good comes out of that combo.
