chet saying that orym had lost more than any of them to laudna was objectively correct in that moment and i feel like ppl are misinterpreting it. this conversation was about ishta, it was specifically about otohan’s sword. laudna’s repeated argument was that the sword had traumatized her and that’s why she felt justified in doing what she did, and that may have been true, but chet was pointing out that when it came to that sword, orym had experienced more loss in connection with it. that sword may have killed laudna, but it killed orym too. and his husband. and his father. if she wants to play the trauma olympics, she has the silver to orym’s gold right now.

in the past, laudna rebuked ashton for saying he knew loneliness better than she did, and she was right to do so then. but this time, orym absolutely has known more trauma in connection with that sword, and chet was right to point that out during that moment. if she doesn’t get challenged like that then she’s never going to be able to break free from delilah’s influence.

A few weeks ago, At the grand banquet Blade held for your birthday, You saw two young noble ladies gossiping, One with short pink hair and the other with long grey hair. You couldn't help but be intrigued causing you to go near them, near enough to hear them but far enough to be unnoticed.

"Have you heard? His highness was caught with a noble woman outside the gongdian!" The pink haired young woman spoke as the grey haired young woman beside her gasped. "How come?! I have heard that His Highness is madly in love with her highness after all!", The pink haired young lady immediately butted it. "I thought so at first! But they said that His highness seemed really close to Viscount Kafka!", "It was Viscount Kafka?!"

You ended up shrugging their gossips off as your husband, Blade went through the crowd to get to you. Asking you to dance.

You and Blade danced like there was no tomorrow. Eventually, the banquet ended without fail and you happily spent the night in your husband's embrace.

However, 2 days ago, You decided to follow your husband as he went out the gongdian at midnight. You needed to know where he had been going. Blade had been leaving the gongdian every midnight and had been coming back every morning, Tired and mad at everything. Even you.

You immediately regretted following him as you saw him with Viscount Kafka. They were embracing each other.

Your knight, Dan Heng, seeing the scene, asked. "....Shall we get going now, Your Majesty?", You just nodded as Dan Heng led you back to the gongdian in silence.

The next morning when he once returned again, He seemed for your solace. "Where's the empress?" He spoke to his servants greeting him. "Her highness is still at your chambers, Your Majesty." As soon as he heard the servant's answer, He immediately came to your chambers to find you sitting on the bed. He immediately embraced you, "G'morning, Wo de huanghou.." But you merely brushed him off with a cold shoulder. You could even smell the remnants of Kafka's perfume on him. It made your stomach churn with disgust. "I'm tired." Was all you spoke before standing up to get ready for the day.

He immediately followed you to coo you. "Wo de huanghou, You don't have to do any works today if you're tired." He spoke as he hugged you from behind.

His sweet words really contradict his actions last night.

As soon as he left that night, You ended up running away, Even your knights didn't know where you had gone. And so have your servants. You had escaped through the gates by disguising yourself as a servant that was asked to run errands outside the gongdian.

You haven't been back since. Blade came back the morning, grumpy as always, He immediately asked where you were, as soon as your servants said they haven't seen you since the night before, he immediately striked that bitch down.

"Find her now. If you have yet to find her by sundown, Everyone in the gongdian shall perish! Now go!" He commanded his knights as he stayed behind the palace to do his duties. His servants only then cleans the body down and is immediately replaced.

That same evening, the moon was high up in the sky as you ventured into the dark forest, alone and helpless. Your senses were on high alert as you kept walking.

You then heard a series of screams and slashing sounds nearby, causing you to be frightened. "Maybe this was a bad idea.." You thought to yourself as you turned around to head back but... Found yourself lost. You didn't get to leave any markings after all.

The rustling of the grass and the howling became louder and suddenly a man went right in front of you.

Crimson eyes looming over your form, dark and seemingly in a daze. "Wo de... Huanghou..?", The man spoke, Blade..? You thought to yourself. "Baobei, I've been looking for you.." Blade spoke softly as he dropped his bloody sword as he tried to get close to. You stumbled backwards and he frowned, a pleading lorok in his crimson eyes. "I need you, Wo de huanghou... Please come back to me.." He spoke softly as he opened his arms, waiting for you to come back to him.
