Hani & JK at Coachella
Hani of BTS | BTS 8th Member
Tumblr media
The lights of Coachella pulsed across the crowd like a heartbeat, colors flashing over everyone in neon and electric hues. Hani was in the center of it all, feeling the excitement sweep through the festival grounds. She was with Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa, having the time of her life despite knowing she had to be serious for her performance the next day. BLACKPINK would be performing at Coachella, and since Rosé had fallen sick, Hani was set to step in for her. But for tonight, she could let go and enjoy the moment. Even better, her longtime friend and bandmate, Jungkook, was there with her. Timing had worked out perfectly since he was recording in LA, so he’d decided to join her for Coachella, eager to support her and enjoy the festival.
The girls were all buzzing from a few drinks, dancing and laughing together under the flashing lights. Hani didn’t mind the warmth of the alcohol spreading through her, making her feel lighter and bolder, her laughter blending with theirs as they swayed to the music. But as the night went on, Hani started to feel the unwanted presence of a group of men nearby. They were lingering too close, their gazes too persistent, and Hani began inching closer to Jennie and Lisa, trying to ignore them.
Suddenly, she felt a familiar hand slip around her waist, pulling her back protectively. Jungkook was by her side in an instant, his hand firm as he positioned himself between her and the men. Without saying a word, he subtly drew her close, his fingers slipping into her belt loops, signaling to everyone that she wasn’t alone.
“Just keep dancing,” he murmured, his voice low and steady in her ear. “I’ve got you.”
Hani smiled gratefully, closing her eyes for a moment, letting the music and his presence calm her. They continued swaying together, her feeling safe and relaxed in his protective embrace, his watchful gaze ensuring that no one would bother her again.
Unbeknownst to them, several people in the crowd noticed the moment and whipped out their phones, capturing Jungkook’s protective stance. Within minutes, clips of Jungkook holding Hani close, were posted online. The videos went viral almost instantly, and soon, ARMYs on Twitter and social media were flooding the internet with fan edits and reactions.
@ArmyForever: “JUNGKOOK holding HANI like that?? My heart can’t take it, he’s such a protector!! 😍🔥 #ProtectiveJungkook”
@OT7Army: “Not me obsessing over how safe Hani looks with Kookie holding her like that… idk I’m in shambles #JungkookHani”
@BTSxARMY: “I’m losing it over this! Look at how he’s holding her belt loops—my heart is done! Jungkook is the best 🥺💜 #JungkookProtectsHani”
As the internet buzzed with excitement, Wonwoo, who had stayed back in Korea, was scrolling through his phone when he stumbled upon one of the videos. His heart skipped a beat seeing Hani with Jungkook, the way he was holding her protectively. At first, worry flashed through his mind—she looked flushed, a little unsteady, and he recognized that look. She’d probably had a few drinks with the BLACKPINK girls and was feeling lightheaded. Concerned, he opened his messages, his fingers hovering before he typed a quick text to Jungkook.
Wonwoo: Hey, Kookie, saw a few videos. Hani okay?
The response was almost immediate.
Jungkook: Yeah, hyung, she’s fine! She had a little too much with the BLACKPINK girls, but don’t worry. I’m taking her back now.
Wonwoo exhaled, the tension easing as he imagined Hani safe and smiling, thanks to Jungkook’s watchful presence.
Wonwoo: I appreciate it, Kookie. Really. Thanks for having her back.
Jungkook: Always, hyung. I’m basically guarding her with my life right now. 😂
Wonwoo smiled at his screen, feeling reassured and grateful that Hani had someone so reliable by her side.
Meanwhile, Jungkook guided Hani back to her hotel room, making sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed. Once inside, he helped her settle onto the sofa, opening a bottle of water from the minibar and handing it to her.
“Here,” he said, sitting beside her. “You need to hydrate.”
Hani took the bottle with a sleepy grin, taking big gulps as she shook her head, still giggling. “I’m going to feel this tomorrow, aren’t I?”
“Definitely. But you’ll feel worse if you don’t drink that,” he replied, watching her with an amused smile as she drank more. Once she finished most of the bottle, Jungkook leaned back, a soft seriousness entering his gaze. “You ready for tomorrow?”
Hani looked down at the water, a mix of nerves and excitement surfacing in her eyes. “I mean…it’s Coachella. I feel ready but also…not ready at all? I’ve never done something like this and I don’t want to disappoint ARMY or Blinks. Everyone’s expecting something amazing.”
Jungkook tilted his head, meeting her gaze with a steady, encouraging look. “And that’s exactly what they’re going to get. Hani—don’t act like Coachella’s any different. Tomorrow, you’re going to make that crowd lose it.”
Her face softened as his words sank in, her cheeks flushing as she gave a small, grateful nod. “Thank you, Kookie.”
He smirked, his eyes bright with confidence. “Just telling the truth. You’ve got this, and tomorrow everyone’s going to see it.”
Hani felt her nerves melt, a smile breaking through as she looked at him with genuine appreciation. “I’ll give it my all. I’m going to make you and everyone proud.”
Jungkook chuckled, reaching over to ruffle her hair. “That’s what I like to hear. Now, get some rest.”
Once he was sure she’d drunk enough water and was comfortably settled, he gave her a last pat on the shoulder and stood to leave. “You good?” he asked.
She nodded, giving him a warm, sleepy smile. “More than good, thanks to you.”
He returned the smile, nodding with a final wave. “Break a leg tomorrow, Hani. I’ll be cheering you on.”
After he left, Hani felt a warm glow settle over her, a mix of gratitude and determination. Jungkook had a way of grounding her, filling her with the confidence she needed to take on a stage as big as Coachella. As she lay down, she opened her phone to find a message from Wonwoo, making her smile grow even wider.
Wonwoo: Knock ‘em dead tomorrow, Hani. I’m so proud of you.

Stolen Glances → Blackpink 5th Member
Synopsis: A long-hidden attraction is revealed, leading to an unexpected connection and the start of something new.
Wc: 2.6k
Pt 2: Stolen Hearts
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Never doing this shit again," Mirae thought bitterly after her most recent breakup with In-guk. The memories of their time together still stung, and she was annoyed at how things had turned out—how she had given so much of herself, only for it to end in heartache. The hard decision to walk away had been the right one, but that didn't make it any easier.
She had been through enough. Too many relationships that promised everything and delivered nothing but disappointment. So she swore it off. Love, dating, any of it. It wasn’t worth the pain.
She had decided to take time for herself, to learn to enjoy her own company and focus on everything but love. And for the most part, she did just that—spent a year rediscovering who she was outside of romance, finding peace in her independence.
That is, until Kim Mingyu walked into her life.
Or, more accurately, waltzed back into it. He'd always been there, lurking on the edges of her world, a friend of a friend. Someone familiar but distant, never someone she'd ever imagined in that way.
Yet, there was something different this time. Every time Mingyu was around, Mirae felt an unexplainable sense of comfort and ease that she hadn’t felt in a long time. It was as if his presence was a balm for her weary heart, a soothing reminder of simplicity and genuine connection.
She found herself looking forward to their interactions, enjoying the effortless conversations and the way he seemed to bring a sense of calm to her chaotic world. It wasn’t that she wanted to ask him out or even entertain the idea of starting a new relationship—she just liked being around him.
"Why’s there a little sparkle in your eye?" Yugyeom said teasingly as he watched Mirae walk toward him, a knowing smirk tugging at his lips. She had been socializing with a few of the other guests, including Mingyu, at the gathering, but clearly, he had noticed something more.
"What do you mean?" she asked, giggling slightly, though she knew exactly what he was hinting at. Yugyeom always had a way of seeing right through her, no matter how hard she tried to act nonchalant.
"Mhmmm, acting like you don’t know what I’m saying, huh?" he teased back, leaning in slightly as if they were sharing a secret. "I saw the way you were looking at Mingyu. And don't even try to deny it."
She rolled her eyes, but her smile gave her away. "You're being ridiculous, I wasn’t—"
"Please," he interrupted, chuckling. "You were practically glowing every time you guys were near each other. Don’t think I haven’t noticed the way you’ve been orbiting around him all night."
Mirae bit her lip, feeling the heat rise in her cheeks. "It’s not like that," she muttered, though even she could hear how weak her protest sounded.
"Yeah, sure," Yugyeom drawled, his grin widening. "Listen, Mirae, I’ve known you long enough to know when you're smitten. And from what I know... Mingyu's been waiting for you to notice him for a long time."
She blinked, thrown off by the sudden revelation. "Wait, what?"
Yugyeom nodded, a sly grin tugging at his lips. "You heard me. The guy’s been into you for ages. He just never had the guts to say anything because, you know... you guys were never around each other enough. But trust me, he’s had a crush on you forever."
Mirae blinked, trying to process what he was saying. "Wait, Mingyu? You’re joking, right?"
Yugyeom’s chuckle made it clear he wasn’t. "Come on, Mirae, don’t act so surprised. You really didn’t notice? He lights up like a Christmas tree every time you’re around. He’s been keeping it low-key, though, probably because you’ve been through a lot. But it’s pretty obvious to everyone else.'
Mirae felt a warmth creeping into her cheeks. Mingyu? The same Mingyu she’d only ever thought of as just another person who floated around in the same circles? She’d always assumed they were friendly because of their mutual connections, never once considering that there might be anything deeper there. He was familiar, yes—comfortable, even—but never someone she had really considered in a romantic light.
"I had no idea," she admitted, feeling a mix of confusion and disbelief. She looked across the room, where Mingyu stood laughing with some of their friends, completely unaware of the conversation happening about him.
"Yeah, that’s kind of the point," Yugyeom said with a laugh. "He never pushed because he knew you were focused on other things—your career, your past relationships. But believe me, that guy has had his eyes on you for a long time."
Mirae’s heart started to race as her mind replayed the moments she’d shared with Mingyu recently—the casual smiles, the effortless conversations, the way she’d started to notice how his presence brought her comfort she hadn’t expected. Was that why things had felt different with him lately? She thought she was just being paranoid, reading too much into things, but now it all made sense.
"I just... I don’t know," she muttered, suddenly feeling nervous. "I’ve always thought of him as just... there. A friend. Someone in the background."
"Exactly," Yugyeom said, leaning in with a teasing glint in his eye. "But he’s not just a background character, is he? Not anymore."
Mirae bit her lip, torn between the safety of keeping things the way they were and the thrill of exploring something new. "But what if I’m not ready? I’ve been through too much, and I’m not sure I can handle putting myself out there again."
Yugyeom softened, giving her a supportive smile. "Mirae, you deserve happiness. You’ve been guarding your heart for so long, but maybe it’s time to let someone in—someone who’s been waiting for you to see him. Mingyu’s not just anyone; he’s someone who’s always been quietly there for you. Maybe this time, it’s worth taking the risk."
Mirae glanced back at Mingyu, watching him from across the room as his laughter filled the air. She had spent so long thinking of him as just another face in her world, but now she was starting to wonder if he was meant to be something more—someone she could finally let in.
Maybe Mingyu was worth the leap.
As the night progressed, Mirae found herself quietly watching as Mingyu made his way over to Yugyeom, joining in on the laughter and easy conversation. She leaned against the wall, eyes following him, taking in how effortlessly he fit into the group. His laughter was infectious, his smile bright, and for a moment, she caught herself staring—really staring. He was undeniably handsome, but it was more than that. There was a warmth to him that drew people in, including her.
They had known of each other for a long time, always moving in similar circles, but never quite connecting like this. And now, with that new knowledge from Yugyeom—that Mingyu had liked her for ages—it complicated everything. She couldn't deny that there was something different between them now, something she hadn't felt before.
But Mirae had been down this road before. She had felt this spark with others, only to have it fizzle out or crash in a mess of hurt and regret. The fear of ruining what they had—this easy, natural friendship—was gnawing at her. What if this went wrong? What if she misread the signs or rushed into something that would only leave them both feeling broken?
Mirae sighed softly, pulling her gaze away from Mingyu and back to the drink in her hand. It was safer to leave things as they were, to pretend this pull toward him wasn’t growing stronger with every smile he flashed her way. But deep down, she knew it was already too late. The feeling was there, and it wasn’t going anywhere.
But Yugyeom, well, he was never someone to let things slide. He’d known both of them for years and could see the way their eyes lingered on each other, the way their conversations flowed with an ease that went beyond friendship. To him, it was obvious—they had something special. And being their mutual friend, he couldn’t help but feel it was his duty to give them that push in the right direction. He could tell that neither of them would take the leap on their own.
Yugyeom knew that despite Mirae now being aware of Mingyu's long-held feelings, she would never make the first move. Her hesitation, her fear of repeating past mistakes, held her back, and honestly, it frustrated him. He could see how well they fit together, how perfect they could be if they just let themselves take the risk. He had seen it time and time again, the subtle glances, the moments of quiet understanding between them.
He was tired of waiting for them to figure it out.
So, when the opportunity arose, he took matters into his own hands. Mingyu needed to know that this wasn’t one-sided, that Mirae wasn’t oblivious. Pulling him aside as the party wore on, Yugyeom wasted no time in spilling everything—Mirae's recent reaction to hearing about Mingyu's crush, the way she seemed torn between fear and interest.
“You’ve got to just go for it, man,” Yugyeom urged. “She’s scared, yeah, but she’s into you. You’re never going to know if you don’t try.”
Mingyu, caught off guard by the sudden push, looked over at Mirae, who was talking to someone across the room. He hesitated for a moment, nerves creeping in. "I don't want to make things awkward between us. What if it changes everything?"
Yugyeom shook his head. "You guys are already at that point. Trust me, it’s not going to get better if you sit around wondering. Just talk to her. You’ve liked her for ages, right? So go and tell her."
Mingyu stood there, listening to his own thoughts swirl, contemplating if he should take the risk. He trusted Yugyeom—after all, Yugyeom was closest to Mirae, and if anyone knew her true feelings, it was him. Still, doubt lingered. What if she didn’t feel the same way? What if their connection wasn’t as deep as he had hoped? He didn’t want to ruin the comfortable, unspoken bond they’d always had.
But he couldn’t keep standing on the sidelines.
Taking a deep breath, he steeled himself and started walking toward her. With every step, his nerves surged, but he forced himself to stay calm. She didn’t notice him at first, lost in a conversation with one of her friends. But when she glanced up and met his gaze, her expression softened into a smile that made his heart race even more.
“Hey,” he said, trying to sound casual, though his voice betrayed a hint of nervousness.
“Hey,” Mirae replied, her smile widening slightly. “What’s up?”
Mingyu hesitated for a brief second, then shoved his hands into his pockets, trying to appear relaxed. “I was just wondering... Do you want to maybe get out of here? Go for a walk or grab some air?”
Mirae blinked, a little surprised by the sudden offer, but nodded. “Sure, that sounds nice.”
They stepped outside into the cool night air, walking side by side. The sounds of the party faded behind them as they found a quiet spot, away from the crowd. For a while, neither of them spoke. The silence wasn’t awkward, but it was heavy with unspoken words, with things they had yet to say.
Mingyu glanced over at her, noticing how comfortable she seemed despite the quiet. He could feel the words bubbling up inside him, but his nerves kept tugging at him. Still, he knew this was it—if he didn’t say it now, he might never get another chance.
“So, uh... I’ve been meaning to talk to you,” he started, his voice softer now. “For a while, actually.”
Mirae turned to him, curiosity in her eyes. “About what?”
He stopped walking, and she did too, facing him now. He could feel his pulse quicken, but he couldn’t back down. Taking another breath, he finally let it out.
“I’ve liked you... for a long time,” he said, his gaze locking onto hers. “I didn’t know if I should say anything because I didn’t want things to get weird between us, but I can’t keep pretending it’s not there. You don’t have to say anything, and I don’t want you to feel awkward, but... I needed to tell you.”
Mirae’s eyes widened slightly, and for a moment, the world seemed to pause around them. Mingyu’s heart was in his throat as he waited for her reaction, unsure of what would happen next. But then, Mirae’s lips parted, and her expression softened in a way that made his heart skip.
“Mingyu…” she started, her voice barely above a whisper. She looked down, biting her lip as if trying to find the right words. When she finally looked up at him again, her eyes were filled with something tender and real.
“I… I like you too,” she admitted, her voice trembling slightly, but there was no hesitation in her words. “I don’t know when it started, but I’ve been feeling it too. I guess I was just scared… scared to ruin what we have, and maybe scared to admit it to myself.”
Mingyu blinked, a wave of relief and disbelief washing over him. He had spent so long convincing himself that his feelings for her would always be one-sided, that this moment almost felt surreal. “You do?” he asked, his voice quieter now, as if he needed to hear it again, just to make sure.
Mirae nodded, her smile growing a little wider, a little more confident. “Yeah, I do. I guess I’ve been trying to push it down because I’ve been hurt before, you know? After everything… I wasn’t sure if I was ready to feel like this again. But with you…” She paused, taking a deep breath, her eyes never leaving his. “With you, it feels different. I feel safe.”
Mingyu’s heart swelled at her words. All the doubt, all the fear that had been gnawing at him moments before seemed to melt away. He took a step closer to her, his hand instinctively reaching for hers. When their fingers brushed, it felt like everything clicked into place.
“I don’t want to rush you,” he said softly, his voice steady now. “We can take this slow, whatever you need. I just… I’m glad I finally told you.”
Mirae squeezed his hand, a smile playing on her lips as she looked up at him. “I’m glad you did too. I think I’ve been waiting for this, even if I didn’t realize it.”
For a moment, they just stood there, the tension and uncertainty between them replaced by a quiet understanding. The night air wrapped around them, but all Mingyu could feel was the warmth radiating from her. He didn’t know where this would lead or what the future held, but for the first time in a long time, everything felt right.
“I guess we should thank Yugyeom,” Mirae said with a soft laugh, breaking the silence. “He always knows, doesn’t he?”
Mingyu chuckled, shaking his head. “Yeah, that guy… He’s always been a step ahead of us.” He paused, then added, “But I’m glad he gave me the push I needed.”
Mirae smiled again, her eyes twinkling. “Me too.”
And with that, the weight of their unspoken feelings finally lifted, leaving behind only the thrill of what could be—the beginning of something new.
A/N: I loved incorporating Yugyeom into the story. He’s such a great friend to Mirae!

WARNINGS . . . mention of eating but like in the maknae eats kinda slay but still!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
to say the year of 2024 was not HONEY'S year is a grave understatement. from the SONG OF THE SUMMER to BABY'S FIRST SOLO CONCERT and being named KPOP'S BRITNEY SPEARS, this diva's impact is undebatable at this point. i guess you could say A STAR WAS BORN during 2024.
as much as her fans hate to admit it, it is all thanks to a certain company that will not be named. after years of UNSPOKEN HIATUSES and LITTLE PROMOTIONS when she actually got comebacks, HONEY finally left that wretched place (unfortunately just for solo stuff, lets not get too happy). after all, A STAR CANNOT SHINE WITHOUT DARKNESS or however that saying silly goes. maybe it was the years of GOING DARK and GIVING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that made her fans hungry for ACTUALLY GOOD music.
you must not be from around these parts if you have not heard the song that had us all hooked this summer — ESPRESSO. originally HONEY admitted to randomly throwing a song together — with of course her producer who is also her younger sister, CLEM — to add to her small tracklist for her first world tour, A TASTE OF HONEY. but following the first few weeks after releasing it, her monthly listeners jumped to 76M with over 200 countries adding the song to their FAV PLAYLIST, reigning the song as THE SONG of the SUMMER.
following the success of ESPRESSO, HONEY faced immense stress from her company to keep the money flowing. but one thing we have learnt about HONEY this year is that this is HONEY'S WORLD and we are all just living in it. call her BARBIE if you will. this DOLL finally made news of her comeback with full album, HONEY POP in the midst of her member's comeback. HONEY really hates to be left out and she wasn't about to let LISA, JENNIE and ROSE have all the fun with their releases. after all, this is the closest thing we get to a full BLACKPINK comeback any time soon.
NOT MY FAULT and QUEENCARD served as the two promotional tracks on the album that left fans needing more. HONEY was truly in her POPSTAR ERA with critics comparing her likeness to the ICONIC BRITNEY SPEARS. think about it — the BACK TO BACK tracks, the BEST-SELLING albums, the revival of FUN in a very CRUSH INFESTED industry and not to mention her SCANDALS keeping her on the FRONT PAGE. lets hope the public are not as CRUEL to this POP PRINCESS as they are to the TRUE POP SUPERSTAR.

. + ° PERSONALITY: Sora is a very kind person. she seems rather mean or 'cold' on the outside due to her resting face, the way she holds herself, her preference for alone time or her love for peace and quiet, but when people really get to know her, they see her as one of the most warming and caring people.

. + ° WEAKNESSES:
perfectionist: although this is something she's working on, Sora likes things to be in an order where she can easily reach/do them. at first, she would do this by overworking herself or practicing too much to the point of exhaustion. what she does now is she lets the boys mess up her room so she can clean it again and destress herself.
self-isolating: this is also something Sora is working on, but as she's still not so good with voicing her emotions or feelings, she'll often stay in her room and ponder over her feelings or the situation by herself without telling anyone.
. + ° SEXUALITY: straight

Jungkook and Chaeri from BTS Reconciled? A Reunion at Calvin Klein Event
Celebrities reveal the reason behind their past argument, but doubts persist
The entertainment industry was shaken when members of the worldwide famous Kpop group BTS, Jungkook and Chaeri, were seen together for the first time since they were photographed having a heated argument at an autogrill. Fans' eyes were on them as they attended the recent exclusive Calvin Klein event, but the explanations regarding that past altercation have left journalists uncertain about what to believe.
According to witnesses at the event, Jungkook and Chaeri seemed to have put their differences behind them and were seen socializing amicably throughout the evening. However, the question lingering in the air is: what exactly happened between them at that famous autogrill?
When questioned about the reason for their dispute, Chaeri admitted that the couple had a heated argument due to a decision she stubbornly made. It appears that the young artist insisted on get out of the car and go alone to the truck stop at night despite Jungkook's concerns for her safety. Given their celebrity status, the constant presence of approaching people poses a potential threat to their privacy and security.
"I think Jungkook was overly worried about me, knowing that people constantly approach us. But I said 'I know how to handle myself'. I was stubborn, and that caused an argument," Chaeri stated. However, many rumors still circulate about whether her words may conceal additional details or if it's simply a move to quell speculation.

Hi hi, so I wanted to say I absolutely love your account. I was the anon who sent the very first two requests, I just didn't have the courage to send a non-anon ask. Could you maybe do something on Bae at the VMAs as Skz are performing. I think it would be really cute. It's ok if not though. Again love your account it makes me so happy
Thanks, Bye-Bye 😊
word count: ~615
warnings: none, Bae just got lost, as usual
a/n: Hey-ho! So it was you who sent those absolutely adorable and fitting first asks! Thank you so much, they still mean so much to me 😭 And congrats on sending this on non-anon, but don't ever feel pressured to do so! I accept anons and non-anons equally, so feel free to choose whichever one you feel more comfortable with. Really, thank you so much for loving this really niche and small account, it means a lot to me, especially because you are one of my regulars. I do notice you guys, don't think otherwise. I had to rush this if I wanted to post it today, since I live in Europe so everything happens when I sleep, and I also had an appointment to make today so. Yeah. Anyway, I hope you like this little drabble, I can always write more if you'd like 😊
Please let me know if I left a warning or anything out, I will add it in! Reblogs, likes and feedback are greatly appreciated!
!I don't condone anyone stealing my work and posting it anywhere without my permission, or feeding it to AI!

Chan was befuddled.
His tallest kid was missing somehow, even though they were next to each other just 5 minutes ago.
Bae always did this, somehow disappearing unintentionally in the blink of an eye, leaving his band members in blind panic, trying to find him. Especially their leader, Chan. He swore he had white hair at this rate.
"Guys, guys, have you seen Bae? We're supposed to be on stage in like 20 minutes." - Chan asked, slight panic settling into his voice. "Where is he... ah, there. Hyung, look up." - Felix instructed immediately, the elder's eyes following.
"See that faint, moving dot on the ceiling? Somewhere under that is Bae hyung." "Wh... Is that a pointer? Why's there a pointer on him??" "Minho hyung had enough of searching for Bae hyung, so I put it into his bun, since I helped with his hair today. It's subtle enough that only we will notice it." - Hyunjin replied this time instead, amusedly looking at the moving dot of light on the ceiling. "How the... Nevermind, this is genius. Now let's go and get him." - Chan murmured out, his leader persona taking over.
The group swiftly made their way through the sea of people, careful not to bump into anyone. It was hard, but they were used to it, having been in similar situations before.
"Is that...is that Taylor Swift? Is he talking to her?" - Jisung murmured out, disbelief dripping from his voice.
And sure enough, he was right, their tallest member was standing in front of the celebrity, casually talking and... even slightly smiling? This shocked everyone, not used to their shy member doing such things. He usually just stood there silently, whenever they had to talk with strangers or acquaintances. Or even when they had to make a speech. Bae was basically a living decoration in those times.
"Bae?" - Chan asked, gaining the attention of the lost lamb. "Oh, the others are here too. Pleasure to meet you." - she introduced herself, causing everyone to immediately greet her back with a bow.
"Our time is up it seems. Take care of him boys, if everyone learns that he is this cute, even though he looks scary, everyone will be all over him. Oh, and good luck!" - and with that, she left with a smile and a wave, leaving everyone gaping at her leaving form.
"Okay dude, you gotta tell us what happened." - Jisung said as he gripped Bae's shoulders, the latter taken aback and embarrassed. "Yeah, you never do this with people! What did you do to our hyung??" - Jeongin added in, looking for the apparently lost, true Bae.
But Bae didn't really answer, he just looked away, lips pursed and cheeks dusted with a faint red colour.
"Did you get lost and she helped you?" - Seungmin said this time smugly, causing Bae to cover his face with his hand, basically confirming the puppy's statement.
This only caused everyone to burst out into laughter, gathering nearby people's attention.
"Can't believe you did it again! And S-STAY's gonna clip it, once again! They're gonna make entire compilations of you getting lost at this rate, I can't believe this!" - Felix forced out between bouts of silent laughter, trying hard not to laugh out too loudly. "Y-you mean, make more compilations? He already has several, dude!" - Jisung added salt to injury, both earning a little hit on the head from Bae. "He does, he does! Ah, don't hit me, I think it's cute." - Changbin defended himself, but it was fruitless.
"Okay, okay, I'm glad we're all happy and having fun, but we really need to go now and get ready. Especially you, our lost little otter, because you're our opening act. Now go, go go go." - Chan ushered everyone out, like a mother leading his little chicks.

do you think i’ve forgotten about you?
characters park nari (oc), jeon jungkook
words 651
warnings none, set in present time around the first week of January 2024.
Tumblr media
“Is it fun?”
Nari can see his smile when he says, “Yeah. Not as bad as I thought it’d be.” Similarly, she can see his smile fall when he thinks out loud, “I miss you, though. And I hate that it’s like this.”
She shakes her head, leaning back in her bed as Bam jumps up on the bed, laying his head in her lap. She smoothes a hand down his head softly, a contrast from her mood and words, “I wish I could say I can’t believe they’d go this low. I honestly should’ve expected it.”
“I wish I was there with you,” Jungkook’s voice is lower, like it’s just for them. “I don’t like that you’re dealing with this alone.”
“I’m not all alone,” she pouts slightly, “I have the girls with me. I was staying at Lisa’s for a bit and then we went to Paris, you already know this I don’t know why I’m telling you again.” His soft laugh makes her smile. “But really, I’m being taken care of. It’s honestly getting better between me and Rosie, so it’s more bearable.”
Her reassurances lighten the weight on his shoulders a little bit, but then he remembers, voice taking a solemn tone, “But isn’t Minwoo still sending letters to YG? I don’t know how they haven’t found him yet when he’s literally having mailing letters.” He sighs heavily, “I just wish I could …” He pauses, not allowing himself to speak it out loud when there are people nearby on his end. “They should let me have three minutes with him alone,” he jokes to make her laugh.
Nari finds herself grinning, small chuckles leaving her mouth as she rubs Bam’s ear in between two of her fingers. “Yeah, but I don’t think he’s found here yet, so,” she sighs. “Did you call your mom?”
“I did, but she kept yelling at me to call you instead so I just hung up,” his smile is evident in his voice. “Tell her I love her.”
“OK,” she giggles, getting more comfortable in her bed as a yawn leaves her mouth. “I miss you. Want you here next to me and Bam. He misses you, too.”
“I miss and love you guys,” Jungkook sighs loudly and dramatically, “More than I think I can take, actually. I think my heart genuinely started hurting when I was thinking of you.”
“I don’t know how other people do this,” she groans suddenly, “I am not God’s strongest soldier. I should have my boyfriend with me at all times!”
The slight tantrum makes Jungkook throw his head back, chest warming as he laughs. “Twenty four seven?”
“Yes.”
“Even when you get sick and tired of me?” Jungkook chuckles.
“I could never,” Nari’s smiling so hard she thinks her smile will split her face. She feels like kicking her feet in the air, but Bam’s sleeping.
“You would say otherwise four years ago,” Jungkook scoffed and she shakes her head.
“That was different,” she hums, getting under the blankets and turning off her bedside table light. A lone nightlight and the city’s lights lit up her bedroom. Her eyes felt heavy suddenly, “I … I can handle this. Don’t worry about me. I’m a big girl, and I can handle famous world superstar Jungkook’s fans.”
Jungkook knows firsthand how people could be, but he decides to placate her and agree, immediately able to tell she was about to fall asleep. “I know,” he says softly. “Are you eating well?”
With the lack of response, he smiles solemnly, wishing he was right by her, holding her to sleep. “Goodnight, baby, I love you,” he says to no one in particular before hanging up the phone. He stares down at his shoes before running a hand over his shaved head.
The world was cruel, and all he wanted to do was hold her in his arms.

They say you have three loves in your life: the first love, which is intense and exciting, full of passion and youthful energy; the second love, which teaches you about heartbreak and the complexities of relationships; and the third love, which arrives unexpectedly, steady and enduring, and is said to be your true, lasting love. For Mirae, Mingyu was her third love, and everything she had heard about this kind of love was starting to ring true.
With Mingyu around, life seemed brighter, as if she had spent years in the shadows and now the sun had finally broken through. He was the kind of man she had been waiting for her entire life, someone she felt her father, if he were still here, would have loved for her. Deep down, she believed he was watching over her and had sent Mingyu her way. He was almost too good to be true, yet here he was, making her world feel complete.
Mirae had always longed for someone like her father, a kind soul, a musician, someone who gave everything for the people he loved. In Mingyu, she saw all those traits. She admired how he could connect with anyone instantly, forming a sense of comfort effortlessly. He was the kind of person who made everything better just by being there.
Initially, Mirae felt so different from him, her introverted nature clashing with his extroverted energy. However, over time, Mingyu’s openness began to rub off on her. He helped her break out of her shell and see life in a new light, while she grounded him, showing him the beauty of quiet, intimate moments. It felt as though they were puzzle pieces finally coming together, perfectly fitting for the first time.
Despite their differences, their similarities deepened their understanding of each other. Both had spent their youth chasing dreams, and now they were living them. They understood the devotion required to achieve their goals and how to support each other through their demanding careers. They knew when to prioritize their groups and fans but also when to remind each other to take a break and relax, finding balance in both their work and relationship.
As they spent more time together, Mirae realized she had never felt such ease before. It was as if they had been together for years, even though it had only been a short time. Mingyu saw her, truly saw her. Normally, this might have frightened her, but instead, he embraced every flaw and imperfection. He never made her feel like there was anything wrong with her, which made her feel validated.
Despite her efforts to seek help, Mirae carried a lot of baggage. These issues affected her daily life, accompanied by a nagging voice that told her no one deserved to deal with her struggles. She preferred to write out her feelings and leave them behind, a habit that negatively impacted her relationships since she struggled to express her emotions directly. Though she was working on it, Mingyu’s open expression of his feelings made her worry about her own inability to do the same.
Being an idol, she had an unrelenting drive for perfection. She pushed herself hard, always striving to meet impossible standards, as if achieving excellence could somehow make up for the absence of her father. The immense pressure she placed on herself stemmed from a desire to make him proud and live up to an ideal she had constructed.
She hated being vulnerable and crying in front of others, yet she was someone who cried easily, whether it was from seeing someone else in distress, frustration, or being yelled at. Her mind urged her to maintain a tough exterior, but her heart remained vulnerable, causing her eyes to betray her emotions.
One night after a cozy café date, she opened up to Mingyu about her fears and insecurities. He listened silently, deeply understanding the weight of what she was revealing. It was clear that opening up was a challenge for her, but he felt a profound sense of gratitude that she was willing to be vulnerable with him.
Mingyu didn’t care about her flaws; in fact, her imperfections only made him like her more. To him, her struggles were not obstacles but parts of her that he wanted to embrace completely. He was determined to support her through them, and when he conveyed this to her, it brought her a deep sense of safety and the realization that he was the one who could truly make her feel safe.
As summer was ending, their relationship grew serious very rapidly. Mirae, usually cautious about moving too quickly, felt herself drawing closer to the idea of love with Mingyu.
Their first kiss happened after their fourth date, inside his car as he dropped her off. The dim lighting, soft music from the radio, and the lingering warmth of their date created the perfect setting. As they sat there, sad their evening was ending, Mingyu leaned in slowly, his gaze locked with hers, asking a silent question. Mirae gave a gentle nod, and they shared a soft, sweet kiss.
When they pulled away, both were blushing, their smiles widening as they made eye contact and said goodbye. Mirae hadn’t expected to feel like a blushing teenager again, but the kiss with Mingyu reminded her of the excitement and giddiness of kissing someone for the first time. It was a small kiss, yet it left her yearning for more. As the days passed, they grew more comfortable with each other, and soon, they were in a committed relationship.
The changes in Mirae were noticeable to those closest to her. She seemed happier and brighter, a stark contrast to her past relationships where she kept everything private. Mingyu was different. She couldn’t stop talking about him, whether it was a sweet gesture he made or a funny moment they shared. He was a constant presence in her mind and conversations. Her friends and family often teased her about it, but they were genuinely happy for her. It was clear to everyone that she was smitten, and it was a rare and wonderful sight.
Mingyu was equally smitten, and his members playfully teased him about it. They’d play Blackpink songs, dance along, and sing her parts, which always made him blush and smile. He was thrilled to be with her after admiring her from afar for so long. Now that she was his, he took every opportunity to brag about her and praise her. While his members sometimes found his constant adoration a bit much, they were mainly just happy to see him so content.
Mirae wasn’t sure when she realized she loved Mingyu; it just happened naturally. She never pinpointed the exact moment, but somehow, she was the first to say “I love you.” One cozy night, she invited him over for dinner. As they sat quietly watching a movie, she felt an overwhelming sense of contentment and looked over at him.
He was gently petting her dog Luna, who had adored him from their very first meeting. Luna rested comfortably in his lap, while Mingyu’s arm stroked the dog, and his other arm was wrapped around Mirae’s waist, giving her soft circles.
Noticing her gaze, Mingyu looked back and smiled, his eyes lighting up at the sight of her. She returned his smile and leaned in to kiss him softly, making him giggle.
“What's up?” he asked.
“Mhmmm, nothing,” she replied softly, leaning her head into his neck and letting it rest there.
“Now you have to tell me,” he said, giggling as he gently pulled her away so he could see her face.
“Mhm,” she whined, trying to nestle back into his neck to feel his warmth.
“Stoppp,” he said, softly grabbing her face with his hands. “Tell me.”
She looked up at him, and he leaned closer to her lips. “I love you,” she whispered.
Mingyu paused for a moment, his eyes widening before breaking into a grin. Luna, sensing the shift, hopped off his lap as he moved.
“You love me?” Mingyu asked, still holding her face with one hand and giggling.
She nodded, her cheeks puffing out as she waited for him to say it back.
“Thank you,” he said.
“Uh!” she said, playfully pushing his arm away and giggling as he grabbed her back, laughing.
“You didn’t say it back, wowww,” she said sarcastically, pretending to move his arms away and leave.
“I’m kidding,” he joked, pulling her close again.
As they settled down, she looked at him once more. He pushed her hair behind her ears and said, “I love you too,” before kissing her deeply.
After their first “I love you,” their lives sped up. Weeks turned into months, and despite their busy schedules, they made time for each other. Mingyu flew out to see her during her tour and supported her at Coachella. Mirae used her limited free days to visit him. Their efforts to stay connected despite their hectic lives demonstrated their commitment and reassured them both that their relationship was serious and worth every effort.
Their first anniversary fell on one of her concert days in Australia, and Mirae was saddened by their inability to celebrate together. Both were very busy, but Mingyu reassured her that they could celebrate another day. True to his word, they found a weekend when they were both free and spent it away in Paris, the city of love.
Their first actual vacation together was both extravagant and wonderful. Mingyu, being the romantic he is, ensured every detail was perfect, and his efforts made Mirae swoon. She didn’t care about the expense; she just wanted to be with him and relax. Yet, seeing him put in so much effort to make everything special made her feel truly loved.
The trip felt like a scene from a movie, a story she would one day share with her future children. They went sightseeing, explored various bars, and connected with locals. They slow-danced to street musicians at night, spent their days wrapped up in bed, and cherished every moment together.
As her tour came to an end and she returned to Korea, Mirae found herself increasingly immersed in Mingyu’s world. His members became her friends, and she enjoyed joining in on the playful teasing of Mingyu. Wonwoo, who lived with him, became a big brother figure to her. She often saw him during her visits, often cooking for him, and would invite him to join them for shows and games.
Mingyu also became more involved in Mirae’s life, growing close to her siblings and mother, as well as their significant others. She loved watching him laugh with her brother and sister and help her mother with cooking. His presence was refreshing, and her mother often praised him to Mirae, appreciating how he seamlessly fit into their family.
Their circles began to intertwine effortlessly, and both of them loved how seamless the transition had been. Her friends adored him, and his friends embraced her, all recognizing how well they complemented each other. It was clear to everyone around them that they were truly good for one another.
However, their growing closeness did not go unnoticed online. Observant fans and followers began to remark on how Mirae seemed particularly close with some of Mingyu's band members at various events. Speculation and curiosity about their interactions sparked discussions, with many wondering about the nature of their relationship.
Additionally, fans noticed how Mirae and Mingyu often wore similar clothing and posted similar styles, which fueled more speculation about their connection. While she tried not to let it bother her, the constant scrutiny and unfounded rumors occasionally made her resent her life as an idol.
At times, She longed for the freedom to stroll down the street with Mingyu without worrying about paparazzi. The only moments they could truly roam freely were when they were out of the country.
Though they loved each other deeply, the fear of their relationship being discovered loomed over them. She wished it didn’t have to be this way, but the reality was harsh, male idols who sought happiness and the women they chose to be with often faced judgment and scrutiny.
It wasn’t everyone, but even small rumors and fan ships had brought unwarranted hate her way in the past, simply for being close to someone. Despite her efforts to stay unaffected, seeing such negativity was disheartening. While she was content within her private bubble with Mingyu, the constant fear of their relationship being exposed weighed heavily on her.
Both of them worried about the potential exposure of their relationship, but they knew that if it ever came to that, they would never let others’ opinions force them to break up. They were deeply happy and in love, and they both had a strong sense that this was it, that they had found their forever person. Their hearts were irrevocably intertwined, and they knew they would never let go.
This was the love she had waited for, a love that had not only lifted her off her feet but had also left her heart soaring in a way she had never imagined. It was the kind of love that felt both exhilarating and comforting, the kind that made every moment with him feel like a dream come true. He was her forever boy, the one who had come into her life and made her believe in the magic of true love. With him, every day felt brighter, every challenge seemed manageable, and every moment was filled with a sense of deep, unshakeable happiness. This was the love she had always yearned for, and now that she had found it, she knew it was worth every wait, every tear, and every heartache she had ever experienced.
Mingyu was hers, and she was his. This was it. And she couldn’t wait to see what the future held for them together.
