prompt: pillow fight
natasha and maria's kids decide to cause trouble and maria joins in the conspiracy as their secret weapon

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Mom! Мама!” the squeals rang through the house and almost had Natasha and Maria falling out of bed with shock.
“Not screams. Not injured,” Maria groaned, her voice full of sleep.
Natasha rolled over and looked at the clock on her bedside table, “Two in the morning.”
“It’s your turn,” Maria mumbled into the pillow that she had buried her head under.
Natasha lay down next to her lifting the pillow, “They’re eleven and nine, we haven’t done turns in seven years.”
“Last time,” Maria snatched the pillow from Natasha, hugging it to her chest, “Lexi was five and she had that vomiting bug, I handled it.”
She groaned, she knew her wife was completely right, “Fuck you,” she whispered, leaning over and pressing a kiss to her lips before she got out of bed.

prompt: wtf
the age of ultron au where a trip to clint's homestead reveals a few too many secrets about natasha and maria's lives because of some over-excited kids who really love their moms
-
Natasha could barely walk. Clint was holding her up as they made their way up to the Barton Homestead. Natasha's place wasn't far away but Clint's had fewer walls that were going to be fixed 'soon'. Maria's version of 'soon' was the most unreliable timeframe on the planet. Currently, they had a hole in the kitchen and the dining room due to Maria's brilliant idea for an open-plan downstairs.
She wouldn't be able to go over to them without completely blowing her cover and jeopardising her kids and Maria. Tony and Clint were talking but Natasha could barely focus. Of course, the annoying Maximoff girl had to give her flashbacks to the Red Room. Not even Maria knew half of what went wrong there. The memories still played on repeat in her head so Clint held her up as they walked.
There was talking, Laura was there but Natasha couldn't register any of it. She noticed Clint's kids coming down the stairs shouting for him and then she heard a shout for 'Мамулечка'. That was her. Natasha looked up to see her eldest daughter, Alina, sprinting towards her.

The Power of Boobs
written for Blackhill Bingo ‘22 ‘Lingerie’
Summary: It’s Natasha’s first time celebrating Maria’s birthday as her girlfriend, naturally she wants it to be special _________________________________________
April 4th, 1982. The day Natasha’s amazing beautiful girlfriend was born. This is the first birthday Natasha is spending with Maria on her actual birthday and not a week later because of a mission or something. She wants it to be extra special, so she devised a plan to make her girlfriend have the best birthday ever.
She had the day off and spent the day making sure everything was perfect. She couldn’t cook, — she’s tried many times but failed miserably— so she went to this little Italian place near their apartment because Maria said it reminded her of her grandma’s food. Once she got the food, she took it home and got in her black Corvette to make a trip to see the birthday girl herself. Of course Maria is working on her birthday, it was a habit Natasha tried to get her to break even before they started dating but Maria being her stubborn self, refused.
But if Natasha couldn’t get her to take the day off, the next best thing was to get her home early, which was another part of her plan. Walking into the Helicarrier, Natasha made a b-line to Maria’s office, greeting a few agents here or there.
M.Hill — Deputy Director. The plaque on the door read.
She knocked and heard Maria’s voice telling her to enter. “Hey Ria.” Natasha greeted, closing the door after her. Maria’s head looked up from the work she was doing and she smiled at the sight of her girlfriend. “Hi, baby. What brings you here?” she asked, relaxing slightly. Nat’s presence never failed to have a calming effect on her.
“It’s about today.” Nat started.
Maria sighed, she knew this topic would come up. “Look Nat, I know you wanted me to take the day off with you but I just have too much work to do and you know I'm not fond of celebrating.”
“I know that, which is why I planned something small. Just me, you, Liho and that Italian place you love.” Nat said, slowly walking around Maria’s desk before climbing onto her lap. Maria’s hands instantly settled on her hip and she looked up at the beautiful woman on her lap.
“That sounds nice. I don’t know what time I’ll be home though.” Maria winced. She would love to just leave right now with Natasha but her work had begun piling up.
“You’re gonna be home by 8:30.” Natasha stated matter of factly.
Maria’s face changed to one of confusion. “8:30? Talia, it’s 5, I don’t think I’ll be done in 3 hours.” she frowned.
Natasha sat up a little straighter, her chest directly in Maria’s face. “You’re going to be home by 8:30,” Natasha repeated again, her voice taking on a seductive tone. “Or else, you don’t get to unwrap your present.” She unzipped the jacket she was wearing to reveal perky breasts covered in blue lace with a bow in the center of her chest.
Maria’s breath hitched, her eyes glued to her girlfriend’s chest. “I-uh oh my god.” Her grip on Natasha’s hips tightened. See, Maria was a boob woman. Something Natasha knew and often used to her advantage.
Nat smirked, she had Maria right where she wanted her. “So 8:30?” Nat reiterated in a faux innocent voice. Maria nodded wordlessly, lust clouded eyes still transfixed on Natasha’s breasts. “Great, see you then!” Nat beamed, zipping her jacket back up.
Just like that, Maria snapped back to the present, eyes instantly going wide. “Wait, what?” She looked at Natasha’s face smiling down at her and frowned. “Tash.” she whined, “That’s not fair. It’s my birthday, you can’t tease me like this.” A pout formed on her face and Natasha couldn’t help but laugh.
“I’m doing this because it’s your birthday. It’s a special day that you need to relax on and you can’t do that at work. Now, the faster you finish your work, the faster you can see the rest of the outfit.” Natasha said before leaning down to give Maria a quick peck on the lips. Maria grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her back into a deeper kiss.
They pulled apart when air became an issue. Maria’s firm hand gripped Natasha’s chin, making emerald eyes look into her clear blue ones, “This isn’t over.” Maria growled out. Natasha suppressed a shudder at the tone. “Oh, I'm counting on it.” she replied cheekily.
“See you at home baby.” Natasha added, before getting up and walking out the office, an extra sway in her hips because she knew Maria was watching.
Maria shook her head watching the redhead leave. She’s going to be the death of me. Maria thought to herself before resuming her work. She was going to try to get as much done as she could before she had to leave.
_________________________________________
Maria got home at exactly 8:27, 3 minutes before her deadline. She sat her bag down by the door and tossed her keys on the small table by the door. Then she hung up her jacket and placed her shoes in the corner.
“Nat, where are you?” she called out for her redhead girlfriend. She was met with silence, but then a small ‘meow’ was heard by her legs and she bent down to pick up the small black cat. The kitten bumped her head against Maria’s forehead, showing a small sign of affection.
“Hi pretty kitty, where’s your mommy? She made me rush home and now she’s nowhere to be found.” She spoke in a soft voice. She was too busy showering Liho with affection to notice Natasha appearing.
“I see you managed to make it home on time.” The smaller woman’s voice greeted her. She turned to greet her girlfriend but the words died in her throat when she saw Natasha.
Red curls cascaded down her girlfriend’s shoulders, green eyes were glowing in the warmth of their home, and that same blue lace bra from earlier was accompanied by matching v shaped skimpy panties, a small bow where the v met in the front. And to top it all off, she had Maria’s favorite flowers in hand. “Welcome home, Commander.” Natasha’s voice was like pure honey, and Maria felt like she couldn’t breathe.
“I-Is that new?” Maria strained, looking her up and down. Liho jumped out of her arms and ran toward her bed in the living room, something Maria was grateful for because she almost dropped her.
“Yes, you like? I brought it just for today.” Natasha walked up to her and wrapped her arms around her neck. Maria felt her knees get weak looking at the goddess in front of her.
This isn’t the first time Maria has seen Natasha in lingerie, but everytime she sees her, it’s a different experience. Nat has an extensive collection of lingerie that Maria is grateful she’s been privy to see her in, but knowing that Natasha went out and brought something specifically for today, well Maria will gladly celebrate the rest of her birthdays at home.
“You look-wow I don’t even know how to describe it.” Maria’s brain was short circuiting, her senses just full of Natasha.
Natasha smiled slyly before pulling Maria into a kiss. “C’mon, let’s go eat.” Natasha didn’t give Maria a chance to respond before she turned around walking away, and Maria got to see the back. It was tied, she could literally unwrap her like a present.
“Dinner can wait, I want to unwrap my present first.” Maria wasted no time before throwing Natasha over her shoulder and making her way to their room. The redhead squealed before laughing.
“Mia, put me down.” she giggled.
“Ok.” Maria said before throwing her down on the bed. They locked eyes and it felt like they were the only people in the world. Time slowed and nothing else existed except for Maria and Natasha.
“I love you.” Maria whispered softly. “I love you too.” Natasha replied in the same tone. “Now, have your way with me Commander.” “Gladly.” Maria smirked.
After that day, Maria gladly took her birthday off work and Natasha in lingerie was her favorite present.

prompt: fake dating
fury sends natasha and maria on a mission which apparently only they could do. unfortunately, it doesn't involve anything they are used to like guns, fighting or infiltrating an enemy nation or agency instead it involved pretending to be a couple and slow dancing for a night.
aka the one where natasha and maria fake date (at least for some of it)
-
“Call Romanoff in,” Fury walked into her office, no knock, no warning, no nothing.
“Nice to see you too,” Maria quipped sarcastically to her boss, “I’ve had a very good day, thank you for asking.”
“Emergency mission,” he dropped a file on her desk, “I need you and Romanoff to take it and leave tonight.”
Maria opened the file, looking at the first page absent-mindedly as she picked up the phone to call Natasha. “Hey Commander,” she picked up on the first ring, a little out of breath as she spoke.

i've been giving out chances every time (and all you do is let me down)
prompt: missed opportunities
nick fury is not a matchmaker, he is a very tired boss who wants his two best agents to be able to focus on missions and in meetings and not constantly pining over each other
aka the one where an exasperated nick fury tries is absolute hardest to set maria and natasha up
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nick Fury, a matchmaker. He’d sunk to his lowest point. Worst of all, he was shit at it. Absolutely fucking terrible.
He had wasted the last three months trying to get his deputy with one of his agents. It was honestly something that he’d never thought he’d do in his life but he needed her to be less distracted by pining over the Russian. It had been over a year of both of them being hopelessly distracted every time they were in a room together or, for the last nine months, anytime the other’s name was mentioned. They were two of his best agents and he needed them back so he tried to get them together.
He’d started by sending them on missions together. Actual missions just not serious ones because they were both oblivious messes when they were together. He sent them on three missions together where he ‘accidentally’ booked them only one bed but, on the first two missions, Maria always came back with a bad back from having slept on the floor. The third time, he booked them into the smallest room on the planet with just one bed so they had no choice but to share and they came back acting awkward around each other.

you won't have to cry (or hide in the closet)
prompt: confessions
peter parker really needs to start coming out to people but it's a lot harder than you think to just tell everybody 'hey, i'm a boy now'. one evening after training, though, he finds himself outside the door of the two people he knows that would probably be the most accepting. in his head he jokingly called them his lesbian aunts but they didn't know that.
aka the one where peter comes out as trans to maria and natasha
Tumblr media
Peter knocked on the door to Nat and Maria's apartment in the Avengers Compound. They were going to be the most accepting, right? At least, that's what he told himself. He hadn't told anyone and he really needed help. Nat had survived being gay in Russia, she would know how to help. They both had also always been his biggest supporters: helping him get a haircut, telling him it's okay to like girls and always calling him 'P' and 'spidey' when he asked everyone to. He hadn't told anyone he was trans and that he used he/him pronouns and that his name was Peter but if any two people knew how to help or knew how to come out it had to be them.
"It's open," he heard Nat call from inside the apartment. He could also hear Maria's comment asking if they were in an alternate universe because someone was actually knocking.

you told your family for a reason (you couldn't keep it in)
prompt: yelena belova
natasha goes back to visit her family again in russia, her sister knows but her parents find out about the family that she's been hiding
aka the one where melina is the best mom (and was the best mom when they were in ohio)
Tumblr media
"Natasha?" Alexei called on her, she'd deliberately been avoiding the catching-up on personal lives section of the conversation. It was three months after they had taken down the Red Room and Melina had dragged them all together again to make sure they didn't lose touch. "You never talk about your personal life," he commented.
Natasha wasn't really at the point of outing herself to her Russian parents. "Just been busy clearing up the Avengers' messes," she smiled, making panicked eye contact with her sister to save her.
"No husband?" Alexei pushed, speaking before Yelena could, "No kids? You look close with that Captain America guy or maybe the Hawk one."
"No, no husband," Natasha stared down at her food. She wasn't lying, just omitting parts of the truth.

prompt: SHIELD
fury signs natasha up for a mission she doesn't want to do so maria takes matters into her own hands
aka the one where maria is an overprotective girlfriend
Tumblr media
"Hey?" Maria walked through the door to their apartment to see their shoe cupboard had been completely emptied out. Well, not completely. Maria's shoes were left but she did not have many. All of the heels had completely disappeared. “Nat?” she called out for her as she walked through the apartment once she’d kicked her own shoes off by the door.
“In the bedroom!” Natasha yelled back at her, her voice sounded a little broken. She was sitting on the floor surrounded by dresses and with suitcases lined up against the wall.
“Mission?” Maria asked her.
Natasha looked up at her confused, “Fury didn’t tell you?”

heatwaves been faking me out (can’t make you happier now)
written for blackhill bingo 'Memories'
warnings: mentions death (takes place during infinity war/endgame), very sad natasha
part 2 dear mia
————————————————————————————————————
Natasha let out a shuddering breath as she sat on the bed. Their bed. Her and Maria’s bed. Maria, her wife, was gone. Thanos snapped and suddenly she lost everybody. Maria, Nick, Yelena, Laura, the list goes on and on. Her family, her support system was just gone and she couldn’t do anything about it.
Natasha had watched the street cam footage of the street Maria was seen on. Maria had looked at Nick confused as her body turned to dust, Nick’s turning to dust a few seconds after. Natasha didn’t even get to say goodbye, or even hello for that matter.
They hadn’t been able to see or talk to each other as much as they wanted because Natasha was on the run and Maria would sometimes be off world but they cherished the moments they did have together.
Natasha laid down and curled up on Maria’s side of the bed, inhaling Maria’s faint scent. She thought back to the last time they were in bed together.
Natasha tossed and turned in her sleep, she was having a nightmare. Maria had left her and she was never coming back and it was all her fault. In her nightmare, instead of Maria going to sleep on the couch, she left. Packed her bags, put her wedding ring on the table and left. Natasha just started at the door, frozen in place. She wanted to go after her, but she couldn’t move for some reason. She let out a cry before she felt herself being shook. She could faintly hear Maria’s voice, telling her to wake up.
Natasha shot up and looked around, her eyes focusing on Maria who she quickly pulled into a hug that was reciprocated just as fast.
“It’s okay, I'm right here.” Maria whispered over and over, like a mantra in her ears.
“I thought you were mad at me.” Natasha whimpered out.
“I’d never make you experience a nightmare alone. You know I’ll always be by your side even if we argue.” Maria replied, kissing her head.
“I’m sorry.” Natasha trembled.
Maria hugged her tighter before responding. “You have nothing to be sorry for, I’m the one who picked a fight when I should’ve realized you were already upset. It’s not your fault.”
“But I completely disregarded you and your feelings. Even though I was upset, I should’ve just said something.” Nat mumbled.
“We’ve never been apart for this long, I think we were just feeling emotions we didn’t know how to let out yet and we couldn’t pick up on those cues within each other. It’s both our faults.” Maria said to comfort her. “Do you want to talk about it?” Maria asked, referring to her nightmare.
“It was about tonight, but instead of going to sleep on the couch, you just left. Packed up everything and walked away without even looking back at me.” Natasha started. “You even took off your wedding ring. I wanted to go after you, but I was frozen in place and then you woke me up.”
“Hey, look at me.” Maria said. When Natasha’s green eyes met hers, she continued. “I’d never leave you by choice. You’re the love of my life, and no matter how many times we argue, I'll stay so we can work this out.” Maria reassured before softly kissing Natasha’s lips.
Natasha sobbed at the memory because even though Maria was gone, it wasn’t her choice and that brought her a small piece of comfort.
————————————————————————————————————
It was now June and Natasha could see a pride parade happening in the street. She thought back to her and Maria’s first pride together.
Maria sat at her desk, tapping her fingers on her desk nervously. She had asked Natasha to meet her in her office because she wanted to ask Natasha to go to Pride with her. She had only been to Pride one other time, with Carol and Maria Rambeau, and it had been so fun to be in a place with other people like her and she wanted to experience that with Natasha. The only problem was Natasha wasn’t out to the world yet and Maria didn’t want to force her to come out if she wasn’t ready, therefore she had no idea how to broach the subject.
The door to her office opened and in walked the woman who was currently occupying her mind. She was dressed casually but Maria still thought she was the prettiest woman ever.
“Hey Ria.” Natasha greeted, coming around her desk to give Maria a kiss.
“Hi, baby. How’s your day been?” Maria asked.
“Boring and full of testosterone. You know, if Wanda wasn't recruited to the Avengers, I think I would go insane. I have no idea how I survived three years surrounded by dumb men.” Natasha sighed out.
“Probably because you would just go to SHIELD to get away before it was gone.” Maria reminded her.
“Yeah, I miss the days when I could just hide away in your office or my old room, but enough about them. There’s another Pride event tomorrow, do you want to go with me?” Natasha wondered.
Maria couldn’t help but laugh. She was freaking out about asking Natasha to Pride and here Natasha goes asking her first.
“What’s so funny?” Natasha questioned, frowning. Maria picked up on a hint of hurt in her voice.
“No, I'm not laughing at you or the question. I was going to ask you if you wanted to go to the Pride event. I just couldn’t figure out how to ask because you aren’t out to the world yet and I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable or feel like you had to go because I wanted to.” Maria explained.
Natasha smiled at Maria’s thoughtfulness before responding. “Mia, of course I’ll go to Pride with you. I don’t care who knows I love you, I just don’t feel the need to announce who I love because it’s no one’s business.”
The next day, her and Maria went to Pride and had the time of their lives. Natasha walked around with a lesbian flag wrapped around her and throughout the day, people came up to Natasha to tell her how much she inspired them. She had never felt as happy as she did at that moment and to share it with Maria made it even more special. By the time night came around, it was all over the news.
Nat decided to post on her personal th twitter account, Pepper had made all the Avengers make accounts to help give fans a chance to talk and interact with them.
She posted a picture a selfie of her and Maria on their wedding day. “Yes, I’m a lesbian and I’m married to this gorgeous woman right here.” The tweet quickly went viral and the rest was history.
From that day forward, Maria and Natasha made it their mission to go to Pride as much as they could. It’s been 3 and half years since Maria died and Natasha hasn’t been to an event since. It didn’t feel right continuing the tradition without Maria.
————————————————————————————————————
It was now July 11th, 2023 and Natasha couldn’t bring herself to get out of bed. They had gotten married 10 years ago today and Maria wasn’t even here to celebrate it with her. Natasha sobbed, clutching a picture of her and Maria on their first wedding anniversary. She thought back to their first wedding anniversary and how much of a disaster it was.
Natasha was currently on a stealth mission with Clint, it was meant to be a simple in and out mission retrieving data but since it required complete stealth, Strike Team Delta was called in. Natasha didn’t mind, she had been bored at the tower, so this gave her something to do. She hoped she got back to SHIELD at a decent time, it was her first anniversary with Maria and she wanted it to be perfect.
But of course nothing could ever be that simple. Natasha and Clint managed to get inside quietly however, getting out wasn't as easy. Once the other guards noticed that some of their men were down, they put the building on high alert and started searching. Natasha went through the vents to get to the exit, closest to where Clint was waiting, but it was covered by guards. There were only 5 of them, and Natasha easily took them down but she hadn’t noticed a sixth man aiming a gun at her.
“Tasha, look out.” Clint yelled, an arrow was already flying toward the man and it hit him in the chest but not before he pulled the trigger and a bullet lodged itself in Natasha’s abdomen.
Nat groaned on impact and Clint quickly went to her side and helped her to the quinjet which was thankfully only a few feet away. He carefully placed Nat on the seats before getting the quinjet in the air.
“Hawkeye to command. Mission was successful but have medical team ready, Widow took a hit.” Clint reported to whoever was listening. He put the jet on autopilot and grabbed a first aid kit to patch Natasha’s wound as best as he could until they got back to base.
“Copy that Hawkeye. How’s Widow looking? Is it fatal?” Maria’s voice echoed through the jet. Although her voice appeared calm, Clint and Natasha could hear the hint of panic in her voice.
“It was a shot to the abdomen, she’s lost a decent amount of blood. I’m going to patch it up to stop the bleeding as much as I can.” Clint’s voice was steady, he had done this many times before and Natasha was a fighter, she’d be okay. He felt a tap on his shoulder and when he looked up, Natasha crooked a finger signaling him to come closer.
“Tell her to switch to our personal comms.” Natasha groaned out, she’s been shot plenty of times, but the pain was always awful.
“Commander, Widow is requesting you switch to personal comms.” He relayed, he had just finished wrapping her wound, which should slow the bleeding.
There wasn’t any response from Maria’s side for a few minutes, Clint and Natasha assumed she was going to her office for privacy.
“Nat, baby how are you feeling?” Maria’s voice came through, panic now evident in her voice.
“You know, I’ve  been shot many times, but the pain always seems to get worse each time. I’ll be fine but we’re going to have to reschedule our anniversary dinner.” Natasha pouted.
“That’s fine with me, I just want you to be okay.” Maria told her. For the rest of the ride, Maria talked and Natasha listened, only making one word responses to save her energy.
When the jet finally landed back on base, Clint helped Natasha up and helped Natasha onto the gurney medical had waiting for Natasha’s arrival.
“I’ll see you later.” Clint whispered, before leaving to debrief Fury.
Natasha was wheeled away to get the bullet removed and when the doctor cleared her, Maria was by her side instantly.
“You know, when I imagined our first wedding anniversary, I never expected it to be in a hospital bed.” Nat joked when Maria walked in.
“Well you know us, we’ve never been able to have a normal life, I mean I proposed in the middle of an alien invasion.” Maria replied, reminiscing on that moment.
“Get in.” Natasha demanded, lifting the blanket up. Maria looked at her with a raised brow. “Are you sure? I don’t want to irritate your wound.”
“Ria, get in, I wanna cuddle.” Natasha whined. Maria laughed before taking off her shoes before laying next to her. Natasha instantly curled into her side, content to be in the comfort of her wife’s arms.
“Happy Anniversary, Natty.” Maria muttered, kissing her forehead. Natasha hummed, the drugs in her system were making her tired. “Happy Anniversary, Mia.” She murmured tiredly.l before falling asleep.
Later that night, Clint came in to see how Natasha was doing and saw them curled around each other. They looked so peaceful, he decided to snap a picture. ‘Happy Anniversary lovebirds’ he wrote before he sent the picture to them.
If the next day, that picture became Maria’s lock screen, no one said anything.
Their 10 year anniversary was one of the biggest milestones they had as a couple but Maria wasn’t here and Natasha didn’t know how to cope.
————————————————————————————————————
“Let me go.” Natasha told Clint softly. They were on Vormir and Natasha’s hand was grasped in Clint’s tightly as he held her over the cliff.
“Tasha, what about Maria? What am I supposed to tell her?” He asked, desperately.
“Tell her I love her and I’m sorry our story has to end here.” Natasha said before letting his hand go. She closed her eyes and let herself fall, Maria’s face the last thing on her mind before she hit the ground.

"Hey, babe!" Maria yelled as she walked through the door.
"Hi sweetie," Natasha sounded weird as she shouted back. Maria walked through the house, going to the kitchen first. She needed some water.
"Is Peter here yet?" she called through, the fridge was strangely full. Peter Parker had a habit of eating them out of house and home ever since the snap and he’d started living with them. With May gone and Tony hiding it out, it was easier that they took him in. They lived closest to his school as well. Some of his friends had survived the snap too, fortunately, the MJ girl that he really needed to just ask out and Ned, his guy in the chair.
"I'm here," Peter's voice sounded just as weird and she could hear the two of them whispering to each other in a panic after.

prompt: confessions
peter parker really needs to start coming out to people but it's a lot harder than you think to just tell everybody 'hey, i'm a boy now'. one evening after training, though, he finds himself outside the door of the two people he knows that would probably be the most accepting. in his head he jokingly called them his lesbian aunts but they didn't know that.
aka the one where peter comes out as trans to maria and natasha
