Ch.35

Miguel’s pov

We were all outside the castle a few yards away, Dio, I wish he would warn us before doing that again, as I was trying not to throw up the same for Shade as she tried to hold her stomach in. I look over to Blackheart who has black smoke around him and does not look well himself.

“Hey! Warn us next time you dumb…ugh?”  I heard Shade’s symbiote yelled but it was confused on what to call him, one glare of him made the symbiote go back in Shade's body. I got up and went over to help Shade but she brushed me off. I’m guessing she still upset. Kind of don’t blame her for it

“ Your little group is back at her place.” I turned to Blackheart who went back into his shadow again. “ I will meet you two back there since I would rather not drag you in here again.”  he then left us out here in  the open, me and Shade quickly changed outfits so we don’t cause attention to ourselves.

As we walk to the factory in silence, more like Shade giving the silent treatment and only making clicking noise but it sounds more stress then usual. I know I have to fix this and not need her to be like this right now.

“Shade? I want to apologize.”

Shade stopped walking and turned to me.

“I didn’t mean to make you upset with the information I gather, I'm not the greatest at breaking the news so I want to gather the many facts to tell you. I’m not…entirely sure if all this is true…that you mother…I know she was a good person and…shock…i’m not great at this.” I sigh. Remember when I had to apologize to Miles and them. For the lack of a better term; it was ‘half-ass' like Hobie said. 

Shade stopped me while put her hands up. Not liking my poor attempt of a apologies “Miguel, stop. I know you weren’t trying to hurt my feelings but…just be reminded of what my patients did to me. And that picture…” She trailed off and realized that there were more things that bugged her.

I then noticed one of her tendrils grab me by the leg and was pulling me closer to her. I looked up at her as her eyes were glowing red just like last time when she tried to fuse with me. She was trying to fight, guessing she still had urges, and was still trying to do that.

“Shade, snap out of it.” I called her to try to get her attention as she was fighting it again. I pull out her serum that kept just in case, and inject it into her. Her eyes went back to purple as her tendrils let go of me. “Are you still experiencing the ‘host’ urges?”

She nodded, let out a growl of annoyance enough that her sharp teeth were showing more. She put on her face mask so it don’t get worse

“Great one, all this gives me one big headache. Why do I have to deal with the symbiote puberty thing now?!” Shade said as rub her head. Tell me about it. Trying to figure out this is harder than it looks. This makes gene splicing seem like elementary school level. Shade shook her head and let out an annoying clicking sound. Something that I would make with my fingers when i’m super annoyed

“Let's just head to the others.” 

I nodded trying not to waste more time with my ‘half-ass apologize’ we made our way to factory and head up to the common center to meet the others

Jess, Peter, Ben, Miles, 42, Hobie, Gwen, and Pavitr were there waiting for us. Timothy was also there. All have a look that freaking out, mainly Timothy. Me and Shade were wondering what had happened since we left. Miles then pointed to something that was behind us. Both me and Shade turn around to see what is behind us and to our shock we see a flying being that looks like a giant flying eyeball.

“Hi.” it said.

Miles’s pov 

An hour earlier

We all got together and went to Earth 2424, it wasn’t as glitchy the last time that we were here, so destroying that one collider was enough to stabilize everything. We were back at the factory when we got there and a kid was waiting for us. Miguel told us about Timothy, I'm guessing he is the kid he was talking about. Then again I don’t know many kids with squid for a head. 

“Oh! Are you all spider-men?” he asked while walking up to us. He then pointed to Hobie who I bet was smirking under his mask. 

“You're the Spider-Man that Zee first met.”

“Yep, the one and only. How is the sneaking bugger doing? Last time we were here, they bribed us to help your demon friend.”

We saw Timothy shiver from the mention of Blackheart. 

“He is not my friend, he is just a big jerk who I have to work with. He always likes working on his own, I will admit he is better at hacking. He was the one that got you in Alchemax when you first got here.” 

“He was?”

“Yep, but I don’t like being with him. Him being a demon and I being like half squid. It makes me want to swim away from him.” 

“I don’t blame you. He has given us the cold shoulder.” 42 chime in, poor taste on the pun since Blackheart was very cold to the touch. Me, 42, Gwen, and Pav turn to Jess since she is second in command when Miguel is not here. We were wondering where Miguel is since we haven’t heard from him. Nor from Shade. 

“Hey, Jess. Have you heard from Miguel? He should be here by now. And Shade.”

“I don’t know Miles. Try to get in touch but he put Lyla in quiet mode. So I can’t summon it here without the code.”

“Code you say?” We all turn to Hobie, knowing he probably has the code. The dude always tries to one-up Miguel and tries to piss him off. Hobie really likes teasing him.

Jess sighs, probably had to bite and let Hobie hack in, making a smirk wider under his mask. 

“Fine, but don’t tell Miguel you did this.” 

“Aye, love. You know I can keep a secret.” Hobie then walks over to Jess’s watch and starts to hack the watch to summon Lyla. while he was doing that I couldn’t help but get the feeling that we were being watched. I’m not the only one. Gwen, Pav, and 42 were also looking around. More subtle but I can tell they have the same feeling that I have. Even Timothy was looking around. 

“Ok, that should work.” 

My attention was brought back by Hobie and Jess who looked like they were able to get it to work. Jess nodded and try calling for Lyla

“Lyla.” Lyla then pops up in front of us. 

“Yes?” we heard her say, but she wasn’t the only one

“Yes?” 

Everyone heard another voice that responded, all 8 of us all around to see where the voice was coming from. So we were being watched, great. Let it be known we are not the greatest at sneaking. That more Miguel thing weirdly enough.

“Oh noes! I shouldn’t have said that!” 

We heard voices panicking as we heard them and I guess it was still forgetting we knew they were here. We heard a flapping noise like it was going to fly off. Gwen was able to spot it as we saw a figure flying away. 

“There!” She quickly made a web bomb and threw it at it. It was caught in it and we heard it yelling as it fell to the ground. Hopefully, we didn’t hurt too much. That was quite a height. 

Me and Gwen ran towards it to see what it was. 

“Master going to be mad. Very very very mad!” we heard it cry as it trying to break free. Gwen unweb it as we both think it might be a robot or some talking animal that Kane guy probably uses. To our shock it was neither.

“Is that a giant eyeball?” Gwen said to make sure she wasn’t the only one that seeing this. Good, I thought I was tripping for a second.

It was in fact an eyeball that was as big as a crow or a big bird. It has a wing with a heart shape symbol on it. It was the only thing its pupils were heart shaped and pink. It look up at us 

“Oh…hi” it said waving at us with its cute little hand. 

“You're a talking eyeball.” I point out trying to make sure everyone else sees this shit. 

“And you're a talking boy. You're a boy?” it said back but sounded like it wasn’t retorting but more like pointing something out. Everyone walks over to look at the talking eyeball.

“Well, this is new.” Peter said guessing this was his first time seeing this and he had seen it all. 

“So, why are you spying on us?” Gwen said as she picked it up. It was flaring its hands to try to get Gwen to let it go. 

“No! No! Master said to keep an eye on you. Not telling my mission!” it screamed. Uh…it already told us what it doing. It must have realized what it just said as it went wide-eyed and flared even harder.

“Master is going to be mad! Very very mad!” 

“Ok eyeball, mine tell who your master is?” Jess said walking up to it

“m-Blackheart. Oh noes!” 

Man, it is not great keeping its mouth shut for something that doesn't even have a mouth. 

“So how long have you been spying on us?” I asked. It shook it eye like say no

“Not you, Shade. I have been doing this for 5 years.” It said proudly. That is not creepy at all. I’m 1001% sure Shade doesn’t know about this. It finally got free from Gwen but it didn’t fly away. 

“You have a name, ugh… flying ball thing?” Pav asked 

“Lyla, I thought you called me.” 

Our Lyla pops up right in front of the eyeball Lyla as they both examine each other. 

“She is not an A.I like me otherwise I would have reported it sooner.”  Lyla said 

“I’m no A.I.”  the other Lyla or 2424 Lyla retorted, guessing not like being called an A.I.

“Demon then? Since your master is Blackheart.” 

“No, I’m a-” Before she could say anything we heard a noise. And turn to see who or what made that noise. We saw Miguel and Shade come in, they must be wondering why we freaking out because Timothy pointed behind them to see 2424 Lyla flying behind them.

“Hi.” she said, waving her little hands at them. Shade was taken back by this Lyla, her mouth stretched wide from being surprised. Miguel was also taken back.

“What the shock!” Miguel asked not trying to hide his surprised

“That Lyla.” I pointed out. Both of them look at me with confusion. I don’t blame them, they were just all as surprised as them. 

“That's my Lyla.” my spider sense went off and I wasn’t the only one as everyone with spider sense must look up. We all saw a shadow figure staring down at us from the factory's beams. The only thing we can see beside the shadow is the red glowing eyes staring at us.  

“Master!!” 2424 Lyla flies up to shadow to greet him. He grabs her and it looks like he crashed into her as she turned into black smoke.

“Did you kill her?!” a bit freaked out that he just killed the eyeball. She wasn’t even a threat.

“She was talking too much and she was not dead.” 

“Blackheart, why don’t come down from and stop being some emo loner.” Shade retort. He kind of was acting like an emo loner. He glared at us, we noticed he didn't really look like a demon the last time we saw him. He looks smaller than a regular human. 

“Don’t feel like it, especially I have to carry you both.” he glared at Miguel and Shade who didn’t like the fact that he was being so secretive. Miguel sighed as he rubbed 

“Ok, let's just get to work on stopping the six”

Shade’s pov.

So we all got together in a circle to discuss the plan to make sure it went well. Blackheart was still up on the beam not wanting to get near us. But the feeling he was giving off seemed towards one person here. 

“So there are only four colliders left that we have to destroy. We also need to capture 1610 doc ock and 928 carnage.” Miguel said, showing the hologram of all the colliders. The one that was red was one Miles and then destroyed. 

“We need to know where those two are.”

“Doc Ock is at the collider three with Dr. Rose.'' We all looked up to Blackheart who chimed in.

“Those two have been working together mainly because Rose is the only smart one who understands the true works on how to multi-verse. That and them trying to one-up each other.” 

“Ok, and how do you know this?” Jess asked

“I hacked into Arachnidqueen’s blog. She keeps her private journal in the same blog.”

‘Figure.’ 

‘Girl really likes spilling the coffee.’ Kuro thought the same

“Then how about carnage?” I asked. He shook his head.

“I don’t know, for a carnage he is very quiet. I have been trying to track him. Seems like he keeps teleporting in and out of this earth.”

“Great so Carnage is out somewhere.” 42 Mile groaned, I don’t blame him. We have to stop like three things all at once. For the first time in a long time, I'm glad that I'm not alone. otherwise…I don’t know if i could stop them. I must show my worryness as Miguel put his hands on my shoulder, this time I didn’t push him away. 

“Will stop them.” he said I nodded. we all heard a thud, sounding like something had fallen. We turn to see a black spot on the ground. Guessing that Blackheart feel better as the black spot came closer to us and he was no longer on the beam. His Lyla flies up to us, and she look happy. Maybe the fact she doesn't have to hide and watch from afar. The black spot went towards Timothy who hold me as he was scared. He did tell me he wasn’t the biggest fan of Blackheart. 

“ Give me you computer kid.” he asked 

“What?! No! You have your own computer since you're a hacker like me. Don’t you have your own?”

Blackheart came out of a black spot in his demon form. Timothy, terrified, went behind me, it didn't help he was like 8ft tall in that form. I wasn’t afraid of him and I can kick his ass if he try anything

“ Because you are going with those idiots.” 

“Hey!” everyone said. Man he smugged that it annoying 

“ Also, my computer is destroyed.”

“ What do you mean it destroys?” for demon I thought he take better care of his stuff

“Master ate it.” Lyla said till blackheart slapped her on the ground as he tried to silent her. She seems very unfazed by it as she flies back up like nothing happened. 

“ Anyway, I can download the file as it has the kill code. Then your Lyla should be able to copy it and send it to the rest. All you guys have to do is just hack it into the computer. Capturing those two anomalies will be up to you.” 

I looked at Timothy and was still scared of him, he tried to act like a big kid but I still forgot he was only like 15 years old. 

“Hey Tim, just help him out this time and you don’t have to talk to a big scary demon, ok?”  I whisper in his ear. Still loud enough for blackheart to hear, not like I'm scared of him more than annoyed. And this is the guy Zee has been working with?

“ I heard that.”

“ Well good.” I heard Timothy sigh as he pulled out his computer and handed him the computer. 

“You better not break it.” he huffed at Blackheart trying not to be intimidated but just one look from Blackheart brought him down to being scared again. 

After a few minutes, Blackheart was able to get the kill code and Miguel’s Lyla was able to scan it and send it to others. Now we just need to get into Alchemax's main building that has the main collider there. We got the card so we can pull the 'how ‘interview thing but I'm pretty sure it's a trap. 

“Do you think it's too late to ask for an interview?” Miguel asked, well it's like afternoon right now so maybe.

“ You two have an interview in two hours. ” Blackheart points at me and Miguel and we stare at him. How does he know about that part of the plan?!

“ I set it up and they are eager to see you two for some reason. I’m 100% sure it's a trap, and with your dumb O’Hara like it be 200%” 

Man, he really does have beef with Miguel. Most of his disuse is towards him. Miguel rolled his eyes.

“We know the risk. And opinions are low and so is time. If they get a stable collider then there are going to be more problems on this earth.”

Karate Kid/Cobra Kai Survey

It’s the year 2021 and you’re obsessed with The Karate Kid. How are you feeling?

I’m loving it the karate kid is a perfect combo of eighties teen movies and fighting

Did you grow up with TKK or are you new to the series?

I grew up with it and first watched it when I was seven ish. Then I rewatched the trilogy during summer 2020 and got back into it I’m so glad that cobra kai came out

We gotta do the basics. Favorite character:

Johnny (in the ck series not tkk) or Miguel. Johnny is just kinda cool kinda dumb and Miguel is a nice kid he’s grown a lot throughout the series

Favorite Ship :

Sam and Miguel was good (cause they recreated golf n stuff) but I’m not super into the ships in this tv show

Underrated Character :

I love demetri. He’s cool

If this is 2021 I’m going with cobra kai, from an outsiders’ point of view miyagi do seems like a rip off

Bad reputation by Joan Jett and the blackhearts, kinda typical but it’s a good song to make me happy

It’s the crossover event of the century! Which TV show are you combining with Cobra Kai for an hour - long Saturday night special?

I’ve never seen a show quite like cobra kai but i would choose stranger things too because the characters would get along the most
