One of my main oc is this rabbit goddess.
She supposed to be the literal moon rabbit. But her true size allows the moon to fit in one of her eye sockets.
She normally takes the form of a normal black otter mini rex.
But can change into this giant (towers over city) rabbit. But made of stars and translucent.
Sometimes theres these golden rings around her head, waist and back. As a sort of power restaint.
I like to imagine a restrained attack with the back ring like how the overdrive mega flare happens with final fantasy 11 Bahamut.
She can travel through hopping but also gliding through the air or leaping in giant airy bounds. Kind of like a Chinese dragon or the black rabbit of inle from Watership down 1978.
The starry translucence is kind of a mix between the cosmos and jelly like. Imagine the forest god from Princess Mononoke but with stars not water. This non solidity means she doesn't crush people but they phase through.
Her attacks are Blasty beamy stuff (Bahamut style), gravitational stuff/Luna powers.
Inspiration is down below.

This one image from https://youtu.be/8EgVMFO89zc heavily inspired. But with a lot less purple and more actual space, very blue based.

Gold ring inspiration, Pokémon arceus, final fantasy 11 Bahamut
Final fantasy 11 Bahamut overdrive mega flare , with spinny gold wheel

The transformed forest god from Princess mononoke

She also sometimes a weird curved horn similar to Ixion from final fantasy 11. Seriously final fantasy 11 had great designs.

Lastly, the black otter mini rex (my photo)

A black otter in rex shows off colours better.
I really need to get around to drawing this oc, but the stars are quite difficult. Need to teach myself stars and translucence in watercolour.
My other oc is literally just a sentient black otter bunny who sometimes acts like a Beatrix Potter rabbit. (Book not film)

Y'ALL WANT SOME FUCKIN RABBITS i have rabbits for sale. three of em anyway.
i will be at the monroe, wa show on december 7th, or i can meet you somewhere public on a day that works - if i drive to you though i would really love like $10 for gas <3 if they haven't gone somewhere by dec 21 i will be taking them to a livestock auction so get em while you can.
take more than one and get a discount!

this is Blacklist, a not quite two year old purebred new zealand white buck from Olympic Horizon in oregon. i bought him as a cull so he will NOT come with a pedigree, but he will make an amazing meat breeder for someone. i mean look at him. show worthy, not really, but THICK? yes. his personality is not particularly wonderful but he isn't hard to handle and is a good breeder (though does not force/table breed.) genetically he's an otter or silver martin, i haven't proved out much more than 'he's at_'. selling at no fault of his own, i just have used him as much as i can and he deserves to find another barn to work at. $20 (+ gas if i drive to you)

also have this guy, a 7mo unnamed copper (chestnut agouti) satin buck. he is NOT purebred, but he is mostly satin the breed. has TAMUKs in his dam's side (and yes they are Actual tamuks; i bought that great-grandsire and gg-dam from the college barn myself.) he has a beautiful glossy satin coat with a nice depth of colour. NOT show quality, but i can give you his 'pedigree' for your records. as far as satins go this guy isn't a crazy one but he is still an animal that doesn't like being handled. he is UNPROVEN as a breeder but i have no reason to doubt him. if he doesn't breed he'll make a lovely throw pillow. i just prefer his sire over him. $20 (+ gas if i drive to you)

and lastly, this little girly. she is a black otter moyen ('medium', meaning she will be in between mini and standard in size) rex that is just at four months old (she will be old enough to breed in february so right at the start of the breeding season). she is NOT show quality but i can give you a pedigree for your records. she doesn't carry anything particularly fun since she comes from my show project lines that are pretty cleanly black/white/otter, but she'll be a little meat brick and make nice babies. pretty decent density in her coat. i'd like $40 for her since she's a rex and a doe, but if you take her and a buck you can get $30 for the pair. NOTE though that she will not throw rex coats with either of the bucks above. but if pelts aren't your concern, any of them would feed you well.
if you are in western washington/nw oregon/sw british columbia and are interested, feel free to dm me :)
#i would really love these guys to go to someone who wants to get started in rabbits#but i also really need cage space lol so they will be going away the next time i have a saturday free#i will have some more meat babies in a month or so too but those won't have unrelated pairs sadly#it's the slow breeding season so i'm getting like one every other month or something lol#i do really want to provide rabbits to people who want them though!!! i am trying lol#rabbits#meat rabbits#rex rabbit#for sale

I made a quick post for you, your tagged in it. On my two black otters I had. Your rabbit is gorgeous by the way.blavk otter is very popular in mini lops, rex, mini rex and Netherland dwarf. Too the point it's quite common. Agouti sable however is quite rare in my opinion. Most people don't know it exists in comparison to other sables/shaded rabbits. Nyx is quite an interesting rabbit.
Ah, I misread your previous post. Black otter is a gorgeous color, but definitely not Nyx. Thanks for tagging me in those photos! Your bunny was very cute!
Also thank you for saying that Nyx is gorgeous & quite interesting!
I really love the contrast between her black paws and light tummy like in this post~
These are the first photos I took of her when I brought her home:

As you can see, she was much lighter before. I'm not that into official terminology when it comes to rabbit colors, but I do think it's pretty neat that she changed so much over the years.

@bluebcrn ferried: 😊😊😊 random bun facts
Ooh three of them! Okay let’s see...
My favorite color is, without a doubt, baby blue. Any pastel tint of blue is just so charming and soft. There’s something about it that makes me happy. The color I use for my ooc text is precisely the kind of blue I like - soft, happy, kind of like a view of the sky from behind a wispy cloud. I’m not really sure why I like it so much, but I do. It can be a sad color but it can also be very happy. Blue is such a lovely color in general. But did you know I also adore baby yellow? The blue/yellow combo, especially with pastel colors, is just so easy on the eyes and it makes me really happy to see it. There are a lot of color combinations/aesthetics that I love but blue/yellow is my all time favorite.
I haven’t really done it much recently, but I still love to crochet. It’s something my grandmother taught me how to do because she wanted to pass it down the family line, but I think I’m the only one that really retained the knowledge. I’ve made a lot of things over the years, including carry on bags, scarves, phone cases, hats ( including one with a bunny ear/paw scarf combo, like this ), and the like. I was really big into hats for awhile because I was making lots of comfy ones out of special material for my mom who was going through chemo at the time and struggled with a sensitive scalp. The last project I attempted was a blanket using the aforementioned colors in stripes, but I botched it without realizing it and by the time I realized I was decreasing thanks to missing stitches out of lack of practice I got upset. I tried to start it up again but I stopped a couple rows in because it is a very time consuming craft and my fingers were suffering from really bad yarn chaffing. Perhaps I’ll give it a go some other day when I’m not so preoccupied with art and writing...
I have four pets! One cat, and three rabbits. Morceau ( More-so ), a mini rex, is the only lad of the group. Everyone calls him Morry. He’s black and white, spotted. I’ve had him the longest, and he supported me through a rough emotional time some years ago. Dahlia, a holland lop, is the self-proclaimed queen of the house. Black all around. She traveled with me all the way from Florida, so I think she brought the sass with her. She’s a lady. Hazel, the netherland dwarf, came from a neighbor at the end of my apartment building near Christmas. He was worried she was getting lonely by herself. Black otter in color. She is the princess of the house. Jolyne is our honorary bun, the kitty of the house. Everybody calls her Jojo. I found her as a stray in the complex and took her in because I’m baby. She is also baby. Striped tabby, loving and sweet, but terrified of just about everybody but me. I don’t know what her past is, but it’s clear it was filled with not good things and I’m happy she seems content living her with me. I love them all very much. They are my babies.
#❥ // * ... won't kill them ( answer. )#❥ // * the rabbit stowaway ( ooc. )#❥ // * ever running on stories of the sea ( long post. )#bluebcrn#|| ooh rambled a bit but that's okay.#it takes a lot of focus not to helplessly dote on your pets haha.#I really should get back to crocheting though. I'm always thinking about it. ||

Black otter mini rex rabbit doe doodle

I love these rabbits so so much,
made with pencil, pen, (pink and yellow) highlighters and money checker pen. Basically doodle at work with what I have.
Ps. The eye is black, the yellow bit is an eye ring not a goofy looking eye.
Technically also my oc, a bunsona if you will :b

I currently have 4 adult rabbits, here they are. I love them with my life.

Amber, my spayed yellow Dutch doe. 2 years in october.

Juno, Black self mini rex doe, 1 year old this month.

Jasmine, black himilayan (pattern not crossbreed) Netherland Dwarf doe, 2 years since 6 June

Bramble, tort based Tri (Dalmatian version) mini rex buck, 6 months on 18 July
Had all four from 12 weeks and 9 weeks respectively.
In order I got : Jasmine, Amber, Juno and then Bramble. Technically, these are my current rabbits and in reality: Jasmine was 8th, Amber 10th, Juno twelfth and Bramble thirteenth (when not including late babies of a late rabbit).
Want to keep a black otter doe from Juno (when she has one) and spay her. Thinking of calling her Hanako.
Lastly, Juno had babies with my Aunt's rabbit, Oreo. Both pedigree mini rex. Dad was black otter Dalmatian in colour.

Bad photo of all of them.

Photo of mum and the boys. Missing black spot doe

Photo of only doe and blue Dalmatian brother.
She had 5 but one was DOA. 1 girl and 3 boys survived and are 8 weeks old now.
Woo bunnies!!!!!!
If you can't guess, my favourite breed is Mini rex. Also Rex and Silver from UK (Silver looks similar to US version of silver fox).
Favourite colours of bunny are black otter, Tri (orange/black, agouti based and blanket pattern) and orange Lutino.
bunbunbunbunbunnybuns
They're all so adorable!!! And so soft looking. I think it's amazing how much you know about their colorations and patterns. Have you owned rabbits for a long time?

I finally, FINALLY got another amber in the nestbox out of my near six year-old lynx doe, and I was SO excited! I was going to pull a Code of Development for amber until my Mini Rex started their strike. It's not necessary now that I have it from a couple sources that the NMRRC fast tracked amber, but that's also not supposed to be public knowledge for some reason? Idc. But like, amber has been my fruit of labor for eight years now and I have one and a half in my barn. The half is just broken and five years old.
But that lynx doe massacred her litter today. Just ... bunny parts ... blood ... all over the cage. I killed her. She could have raised up this litter and retired in less than two months, living to a ripe old age. But she did what no rabbit has ever done to me before. Sure, I've seen chewed on newborns. But after three days? Never.
This doe was ... so nice. Gorgeous. Wideband. And she still managed to accumulate two legs (because judges don't know how lynx works, because a wide band lynx is 100% a DQ) because she was just that typey.
I don't regret killing her, but I'm not doing okay. I have one lynx left in the barn. Her daughter. Never produced a litter in two years of living. Dirty girl, too.
Wait, I lied. Vicious is a lynx, too, and comes from a vast history of my rabbits. I never showed her, but I mistake her for an opal a lot because of her color. Not a dark DQ-able under color (imo), but not bright white either. Vicious made a litter after two years of trying. I have a lilac otter out of her.
But like ... I had two Mini Rex litters make it to weaning age this year. Three hold backs that i need to narrow to two. I had ZERO Mini Rex litters last year. My Mini Rex are not okay - and LYNX Mini Rex is what got me started in showing.
I just killed one of my best rabbits - and I should kill a lot more. I'm down to eight Mini Rex brood does. Eight. Just eight. I try to focus on four varieties: amber, black, chocolate, and lynx. You can't work on that with eight brood does, especially when six of them won't even lift for the buck.
Well, Reputa is due for the beginning of October. We'll see how she does. Because I'm so attached to this breed ... and it hates me now. Amber is finally going to show on the tables next year and I'll never produce anything to show. Because Reputa's litter will be otters and selfs, black and chocolate at least. Pimp, her sire, doesn't carry dilute but Venli, her dam, did. I don't want otter ... I want amber again.
#I don't even have any rabbit friends to rant to about this shit anymore#so using myself and words to myself as a sounding board is about my only option#it's just so fucking frustrating when you're watching everything blow apart around you and you're at a complete loss as to how to fix it#I don't WANT to try and start all over again#I want to use the lines I've spent eight years working on#the lines that were on the fast track to my ideal Mini Rex#rabbits like mine don't exist anywhere outside of my barn because I worked on such specific things#and most breeders don't seem to care about those things anymore I swear#anyway I need to stop ranting and submit my entries for the show this weekend#a show I'm not even looking forward to but w/e

vincedakota replied to your post “i am excellent and naming animals and you should ask me what your...”
i cant send asks and this is completely unrelated but if you want to crunch an hour or two. whats your opinion of Every Arba Breed
you asked for it get ready for some Unpopular Onions
american: have doofy faces but i like em a lot. tried to get into whites several years ago but breeders kept ghosting me :( not as rare as ppl think but nobody likes whites it’s only blues at shows.
american chinchilla: bruh why do we have like three whole chinchilla breeds i don’t like chins that much in general why do we need three whole breeds of just chinchilla
american fuzzy lop: all the worst parts of lionheads and holland lops in one little package
american sable: never seen one in real life but i want to touch
argente brun: don’t understand why the argentes aren’t more popular, look at ‘em. they’re cool as heck. give me one.
belgian hare: do you love suffering? get a hare
beveren: i think they’re ugly sorry. suddenly got rly popular and idk why. remind me of basset hounds but with blue eyes.
blanc de hotot: absolute showstoppers. the supermodel of rabbits. why can’t i have any someone please give me a hotot i will pay lots of money
britannia petite: genuinely make me uncomfortable to look at. the big eyes and tiny body...they are gremlins and i do not like them
californian: boring but a good meat rabbit. what can i say they have a niche and are good at it
cavies: are not rabbits and make bad noises
champagne d’argent: the only breed i ever seen enter fur shows here lol. i wanna work with them to make silvery every other breed :)
checkered giant: Big Angery. only breed i’ve consistently been told not to ask to pet.
cinnamon: really cool lookin rabbits but every feral in issaquah looks just like ‘em so either a cin breeder had an oopsie or they aren’t that rare
creme d’argent: i’ve only seen ONE irl and it was like buttered toast. i love them. someone please breed them.
dutch: the only rabbit allowed to be visibly VM (hotots are vm too but you can’t really tell.) really cute little meat bricks. the holstein of rabbits, in that when i think of a generic rabbit i think of a dutch.
dwarf hotot: more popular than their commercial sized cousins and honestly it’s a RIGHT SHAME.
english angora: that is a mop. apparently betty chu is driving people out of the breed cos hers are all too good :’) the one we have is bonkers and i don’t like him.
english lop: hardly should be able to call themselves lops. sure they got big ears (which i don’t like) but to me a lop should have a brick face and they don’t and it makes me sad.
english spot: suuuper attractive animals, esp the goldens. if i hated myself enough to get into a running breed i would go for english i think.
flemish giant: BIG. FRICKIN. EARS. my husband’s fav breed. he likes the red ones. i have three growing out in my yard rn and they’re so cute.
florida white: for some reason they are becoming really popular with homesteaders? but i have never seen one in real life. really just kind of boring but apparently good for meats.
french angora: i don’t like anything i have to groom
french lop: BIG. FLOPPY. EARS. BIG. POTATO. FACE. truly the epitome of a lop. can’t wait til i get mine.
giant angora: ah yes let’s make MORE wool to groom no thanks
giant chinchilla: this is a chin just Big. boring, next
harlequin: fan favourite of my fur clients. if you hate yourself, show these. ofc i’m a sucker for calico things so i have a bunch but do you see me putting them on a show table? no.
havana: very good little dudes. husband likes the black ones. i can only justify one or two itty bitty breeds so i don’t have any.
himalayan: the stupidest looking animal i have ever laid eyes on and i love them so much. they spark immense joy. also very very sweet if my two are anything to go by.
holland lop: oversaturated in both pet and show circles. there’s just so many. the holland rings take HOURS to get through at shows. they are very cute but so far in general their personalities leave something to be desired.
jersey wooly: i hear they’re little demons but other than that i don’t know much about em
lilac: it’s a rabbit, but purple! never seen one in person.
lionhead: literally every byb pet rabbit is mixed with a lionhead. my first rabbit was a lionhead and he’s evil so there’s that.
mini lop: my first breeding rabbits were mini lops and they have a special place in my heart. but i went with french over minis cos Big Chungus.
mini rex: take a rex and make it small and able to produce peanuts. 5/10 not enough fur
mini satin: i have only ever handled one and it was enough for me! awful awful little creatures but very nice fur.
netherland dwarf: disgOSTINgly cute but oversaturated and also dwarfs. sorry.
new zealand: yep that’s a rabbit
palomino: it’s a rabbit but YELLOW. apparently the breed joel salatin breeds but his are all vm-y and he THROWS AWAY THE FURS i hate it. idk they’re cute i guess.
polish: it’s small alright
rex: supermodel of rabbits but wow is showing them the worst. rex people think they’re better than everyone else and it’s very tiring. so good for touching though. pelts sell for good prices.
rhinelander: very good 10/10 if they weren’t hard to find i’d consider them as well if i were gonna go for a runner
satin: considered getting into them but decided not to. the white ones look like they peed on themselves :(
satin angora: we have one and i have no complaints except that it makes wool
silver: someone apparently breeds them around here and it’s neat that chestnut is a colour they come in considering every other silver breed is like NO AGOUTI ONLY SELF
silver fox: this is the rabbit literally every homesteader has now and i don’t get it. they’re pretty and big but what a waste of good pelts by raising them for meat only. anyway they only come in one official colour (with the three general self colours in COD) so i find them boring otherwise. i can’t tell ours apart at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
silver martin: never seen one in person but they’re pretty. silver fox ppl hate them cos they “don’t even have a real silvering gene. they’re just chinchilla otters.”
standard chinchilla: WHY DO WE HAVE THREE OF THESE
tan: smaller than anticipated, but very pretty. why don’t more breeds have this colour. what even IS this colour. is it related to otter? IS it otter just without white? i’m intrigued
thrianta: photos really do not do that colour justice. kinda boring cos they only come in red but boy is it RED.
velveteen lop: technically still in COD but my opinion is the same as english lop. i don’t like their faces or the ears, sorry.
#vincedakota#long post //#cecile posts#disclaimer i love all rabbits i just love some more than others

Winners named at the Clearfield County Fair rabbit show
The rabbit show at the Clearfield County Fair was held July 30. The show was judged by Ben Haagen, a Centre County resident and an American Rabbit Breeder’s Association judge. He also serves president of Grange Fair and teaches trigonometry and advanced level mathematics classes at Penns Valley High School.
Included in the judging was meat pens. A rabbit meat pen consists of a pen of three rabbits, 10-12 weeks old with each weighing between 3 1/2-5 1/2-weeks-old. This is the fifth-year meat pens are eligible as Clearfield County 4-H projects. Sydney Turner, a member of Thundering Hoofbeats 4-H Club, received grand champion honors for her Californian rabbit meat pen. Thundering Hoofbeats 4-H Club Member Lauren Turner was reserve grand champion for her Californian rabbit meat pen. She also received third and sixth places with her rabbit pens.
Krissa Lichvarcik of Goat Logic 4-H Club was fourth and eighth; and Rayana Lichvarcik, also of Goat Logic 4-H Club, fifth and seventh.
4-H members with rabbit projects were encouraged to participate in the showmanship competition. Showmanship teaches members how to communicate what they know about their rabbit in a presentation to the judge. This includes the characteristics of a rabbit’s breed or why it is considered a pet if it’s a pet showmanship animal, disqualifications, diseases, proper care of a rabbit, and how to evaluate a rabbit for judging. The rabbit itself is considered a prop, it is the 4-H member who is judged on their knowledge and handling of their rabbit.
In the junior division, Katherine Thomas, of Goat Logic 4-H Club, earned first place with her Polish Broken black senior buck; Rayana Lichvarcik, with her Mini Rex blue senior doe, second; and Brandon Beers, Muddy Boots 4-H Club, with his Dutch senior doe, third.
Joshua Hardy of Muddy Boots 4-H Club received first in the intermediate class with his pet senir buck.
Sydney Turner earned first in the senior division with her pet doe; Elsa Witherow of Goat Logic 4-H Club, with her Mini Satin Siamese junior buck, second; Lauren Turner with her Dwarf Hotot junior buck, third; Alexis Lichvarcik, Goat Logic 4-H Club, with her Blanc de Hotot senior buck, fourth; and Krissa Lickvarcik with her Polish black junior buck, fifth.
Sydney Turner was named grand champion showman and Elsa Witherow, reserve champion.
