My friend called me masc and I have been shook for like 3 days. I think I just never felt valid in that description but I love some masculine references and I want to protect and support but also be emotionally open because *lesbian* and *community care*. How does one get more comfortable with words that make you feel valid but are hard to step into? I ask myself why I act the way I do and it’s because I’m gay 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ but my androgyny has always given soft masc. I’ve really been into soft mascs and obsess over trans men/mascs of antiquity. I legit have a black trans masc from the ‘20s on my alter. I have always wanted to be a good masc/man. I guess it’s scary that others can safely see it and that it isn’t dangerous for me to be that version of myself. Might also explain why I am a service top/switch… 🤭

Anyways, here is my dinner from last night with my current bestie. We went to this gay owned restaurant(very rare even for my big Midwest town) and the host saw my pronoun pin on my bag and immediately got us into the special seating. The server was awesome, the drinks were delicious, and the food smacked. I have been to this place many times before but it was a first for my friend. Definitely adding it to my favorite places to go in the city. I felt so seen.
