I've used a lot of makeup over my last 9 years of cosplaying, but this is whats in current rotation. My criteria for products is affordability, what performs well irl and in photos, and products that for the most part have a lower rating on the ewg scale (with few exceptions). I also don't really buy makeup outside of sale events like Black Friday, after Christmas, or during some promotion just so ya'll have context about the price ranges listed per item.

That said, this is more to share products and tools I use to create a base for other looks! So things that are more personal like eyeshadow, lipstick, blush etc were left out as that's really more of preference for each person.

I will say, if anyone else is thinking of doing the same thing, it's way easier than it sounds.

My brother has built his own computer, my friend's husband builds them and works as a programmer, and separately I'd raised the idea to each of them of just putting in a larger SSID (solid state internal drive).

Both of them talked through what sounded like an exhausting, stressful, and not-worth-it process that would be an absolute nightmare to go through...

But it was actually pretty straight forward, cheaper than I thought (the cost of the drive is 90% of it), and simple.

Buy the new SSID (I got a Samsung 1tb one as a black friday sale).

Buy a $16 adapter (the hardest part of this entire process was getting this together bc of tiny screws).

Plug it in to a USB drive on the computer.

Go to "Disk Management" and chose the blank one from the scroll down menu (Mine went in as Disk 3, but I have various harddrives).

Tell it to partition it.

Download the free Samsung Data Migration tool (if you have a samsung drive), and tell it you want to migrate the C drive to whatever your new harddrive is showing up as on your computer.

That took about 35 minutes to clone.

Shut down the computer.

Open the PC tower.

CAREFULLY remove the old chip, on my computer it was very easy to see.

Plug the new one in.

Turn the computer on- and it's like nothing at all has changed, the C-Drive is just massive now. All apps, programs, my desktop, all of my stuff is still logged in online, you wouldn't know anything changed unless you looked at the free space on the drive.

If you don't count the time when the data cloning app was running, it took like 10 minutes maximum of actual work.

I was also wondering that when the asticassia school assembly BD comes out, if you could consider uploading it somewhere so that people who can’t purchase it would be able to watch it as well? I pre-ordered the School Assembly BD and am planning to subtitle it in parts, similarly to how I'm doing the Ep 24 Character Commentary… but for an upload of the full thing, I have to be more circumspect: I'll post when the rip is available and give contact info so interested folks can reach out directly. Just trying to avoid getting Eye of Sauron'd by Bandai-Namco, lol.

Regarding Japanese study: we're in similar boats! I also took classes in college and got back into serious self-study after not practicing for a while.

Here are some self-study resources I find useful:

For daily Japanese practice…

Renshuu for vocabulary and grammar. WaniKani for learning kanji. Ringotan for kana and kanji writing practice.

Renshuu is a site (also available in convenient app form) for building up vocabulary and grammar with quizzes, games, and community activities. It's by-and-large free - premium provides some enhancements (like more listening/pitch tools), but isn't necessary for most of the content. WaniKani is a fantastic resource for learning kanji. They use some truly memorable mnemonics to teach radicals/vocabulary and schedule lessons/reviews in a way that promotes real retention. Give Levels 1-3 a try since they're free, and if you like the teaching method, a lifetime premium sub is reasonably affordable when it goes on sale (like on Black Friday). I use Ringotan, a free phone app, to supplement WaniKani (which is focused on reading/recognition) with writing practice.

Install Yomitan, an in-line dictionary extension, on your browser.

Dokusho Bookclub is a site for finding reading materials targeting specific JLPT levels.

Out of the many resources available on YouTube, I want to highlight Kaname Naito's channel - he teaches in depth vocabulary and grammar used in actual conversational Japanese.

I have a routine of always doing my "dailies" and just try to read/watch/play as much Japanese media as possible... Thankfully there's so much good stuff available online nowadays. :>
