I don’t Normally do this but for this chapters spoliers/leak made me.  --Black clover spoliers below the cut--

Black bulls refusing to accept asta’s death is amazing!  AND TALKING ABOUT ASTA HE IS IN THE LAND OF SUN WITH YAMI’S CHILDHOOD FRIEND!! I Thought that guy was Yami when i first saw him.  and last time i checked Yami wassss from the land of sun.  So Asta is probably going to unlock some super cool power and show off to Yuno.

About 337. 

I found Nacht so amusing in the beginning. “So trash it”. He’s just so done XD And for some reason Vanessa looked really pretty to me in the panel with all the Bulls. But this was also the first time I realized that they had different length capes. Fun little details. 

This chapter isn’t yet very informative in larger things, but rather in small little details. Such as Yami’s hate for moths (which has so much comedy potential), and the fact that Hino is living in peace times. 

That detail, however, requires some fun facts from samurai culture. 

You can see the two katana there on the rack, facing to the left. Now. All Samurai, or Bushi, were right handed. Yes, even if you’re left handed, you would have been wielding a swords as if you were right handed. And as a result of which, if the country is living in peace times you’d place the swords on the rack towards the left, so that it’s more difficult to draw the sword. While if you were living in war times, and there might be a reason to draw a sword quickly, you’d place the tsuka (the handle) to the right for an easier draw. 

A fun little detail I hope is deliberate. 

But another curios thing I took from the chapter is that Ryu’s eyepatch looks a lot like Yami’s tsuba (hand guard on the katana handle). 

One might think that it’s just because tsuba are like that, but unfortunately not. They come in a lot of different shapes, sizes and weights, and a one way to really customize your katana to look your own, or even affect the qualities, by making the weight concentrate more towards the handle. 

But before I dwell too much into that, I’ll just say that it’s another curious detail, which most likely adds up to nothing.

About ONE YEAR OR SO BEFORE ASTA WAS BORN, WHAT THE FUCK

OK, RIGHT off the bat I'm calling it. Our dude has clairvoyance. Man's saw only what he wants to see, so maybe the whole time he was wanted to watch Yami, and then got attached to the rest of his dudes. I've seen people claim that maybe Astaroth, time devil, set our new dude as a backup plan but it seems far fetched.

Man's can't see into the future, just real time of a place he's not in. Similarly to how Lolopechkas stockpiled knowledge isn't omniscient, but similar to a library of predecessor knowledge but limited severely to said knowledge, plus limited to what she currently knows of. It's nice to see how Tabata incorporates knowledge as both powerful, but limited to What you're looking for.

It also might show that Lucius predictions (assuming his range is between 10k ~ 99k) is also severely limited, as its likely only a tenth of a million chance, as well as it showing only the futures Lucius Wants to see.

OK, so maybe Land of the Sun operates on a meritocracy as well, because otherwise Yami being childhood friends with a shogun/general while being a fisherman sounds like a stretch. So likely our dude Ryuuya saw Yamis "surpass your limits" and said "you are so right, my guy".

Additionally, judging by the falling leaves, Current timeperiod is Autumn.

Grey: Vice Captain Nacht told us to behave. Magna: If we listen to that hardhead, we'll trash the Black Bulls' rep! Nacht: So trash it, you fools.

lol. Also love how this continues how Grey’s becoming bolder in her own way as we go along.

I like that it’s Nacht who’s here to deliver the news that Asta is likely dead from the perspective of those who watched the fight play out. It’s interesting that both Finral and Nacht are here together since Yami and Noelle are both absent although maybe they chose to stay behind to help with whatever chaos might follow at the capital.

I I like that we get to see the Black Bulls’ individual reactiosn to Asta’s death, however, for some reason Vanessa is not included which is frankly very strange especially since she appears on the next page with everyone affirming that Asta is definitely not dead from their perspective. That said, I do like how Luck goes silent and then looks extremely determined in the group panel.

Love that Asta’s first taste of Sun Kingdom food makes him do his stary eyes.

I always figured Yami was just lactose intolerant but apparently he is known for taking forever in the bathroom here too alkfdsjalf

Yami’s friend knows about devils, knows Asta’s language pretty fluently, and seems to be able to show this guy the present and future. Makes me think perhaps the eye might be some kind of deal? Or perhaps if the Sun Kingdom also has mana manipulation maybe it can manifest in body parts and the patch might enhance its power like how a grimoire enhances power in Clover Kingdom. Or perhaps the eye is some kind of deal with something. Should be interesting to find out if we do.

This is going to be such beautiful scenery potentially when the anime comes back. Also good to know we’re possibly in autumn given the falling leaves.

I’m curious since the tea doll and the nameless girl look like Charmy and Ryuya looks like Yami if that means this is going to be a bit Wizard of Oz where characters look like each other and we’ll get to see Sun Kingdom versions of Clover Kingdom characters or not. Either way, it should be interesting and I’m so excited for this arc. I was hoping we’d get to see Sun Kingdom eventually even if it turned out to just be a movie thing, but luckily it’s going to be a main canon thing. Can’t wait for next week.

Curious if this means Sukehiro is really Yami’s surname after all or if Ryuya’s just going with what Asta knows Yami as. Maybe we’ll find out if Ryuya and Yami come face to face in some way later in the arc

What I keep coming back to is that the whole set up reminds me of the 1939 version of The Wizard of Oz in which all the actors Dorothy knows in Kansas also have roles in Oz (Auntie Em is Glinda, the farm hands are the Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin Man, etc...) because the doll looks like Charmy, the girl looks like Nero, and Ryuya looks like Yami. That said, I don’t think Tabata would do us dirty by making this some weird dream of death or something.

Ryuya knows the language of the Shuffle Kingdoms, but that could easily be for diplomatic purposes and/or because he knew Asta would come so he prepared accordingly.

If we are going to see the rest of the Black Bulls doppelgangers show up in Sun Kingdom, I’m inclined to believe that this is key to Asta and Liebe returning to Clover especially since Ryuya pointed out Asta can’t return under his own power, he’s too far away. We also know that the Black Bulls are actively looking for Asta now as well.

So, that brings me back to a question I’ve been curious about: How exactly did Yami end up in Clover? Did he arrive via a tsunami or is there some sort of inter-dimensional relationship between Clover and Sun? Did Beezelily send Asta to Sun Kingdom on purpose because a small shred of Sister Lily remained or did Asta end up in Sun Kingdom due to some sort of channel of mana or something?

If there is a way to connect Clover and Sun together be it  via natural spatial mana or a spatial rift, etc..., then perhaps the reason we’ve got three of the Black Bulls faces repeated in Sun Kingdom is because it’s going to take two sets of Bulls to transport Asta and Liebe from one group (Sun) to the other (Clover).

It’ll be interesting to see how things play out.
