Going Merry Holidays 2024 (day 22): Sannami week Day 7- Protect

This was another prompt for Sannamiweek-event~!

This is headcanonish but I like to think that if Nami had a crush on Sanji in canon story, she has a secret diary hidden somewhere where she writes about her feelings and although this video is placed more on the story where they'd date already and this is basically Nami's way to tell she appreciates Sanji in many ways.

Like written before, I think it would take a lot of time for Nami to first admit her feelings towards Sanji. I wouldn't be surprised if she was actually afraid of rejection and perhaps that's why Oda-sensei did especially during the pre time skip the running gag that when Sanji declared his love, Nami would be like "yeah yeah!" she would do it just to trying to avoid to fall in love?

Another headcanon but I like to think that Nami would like to sneak into the kitchen at the nighttime where Sanji would prepare her tiny treats like hot chocolate and they'd share discussion about the things they find fascinating and stuff and that would be their quality time what would deepen their nakamaship.

Anyway, if they started dating, it would definitely require time for Nami to share the news with the crew but well Thousand Sunny doesn't have infinite amount of places where they could hide and have (romantic) moments complete alone, probably it wouldn't take long before the secret is out.

Whole Cake Island was a very interesting arc not only story wise but as a SaNami shipper there was much to enjoy but maybe one of the top moments was that Nami lived for her epithet Dorobo Neko and literally stole the husband, twice. First in the Tea Party/wedding ceremony and later when they welcomed Sanji back to Thousand Sunny (when he returned with Pudding)

Just a silly detail but in some cultures there is a old belief that if a female guest wears a red dress in someone's wedding, it indicates that she has slept with the groom. I've pondered before whether the color of Nami's dress was a just a silly coincidence or just another brilliant detail brought by Oda-sensei?
