The Terrifics #20 An As-I-Read-It-Comic Review

OK, here we go...

-Love that cover, wonder what’s up with that armor it’s...is it mocking SBP’s armor?

-Nice bit of Bizarro dialog there.

-Love the classic “team of heroes and team of villains line up opposite each other“ thing!

-So, Mt. Terrible is just...swinging a ball-and-chain?

-Bizarro-Metamorpho is called Change-o-shape-o, I can’t decide if that’s brilliant or dumb. It’s not really...backwards, though?

-Ditto Disposable Man. Also, not sure how his powers make sense as a riff on Eel’s.

-Likewise Figment Girl, although her powers are properly backwards.

-Go Paula!

-(I still love the backwards onomatopoeia)

-X-Ray Smell? How does that...work, exactly?

-Man, Figment Girl is kinda OP, isn’t she?

-Yeah, Paula and Michael are still having troubles, though Michael is still trying.

-Wait, so what did Bizarro want?

-I’m with Eel, going through a teenage girl’s stuff is NOT cool.

-Well, fuck. That’s...wow, that’s actually quite evil. Bit TOO evil for my preferred take on Bizarro, honestly.

-Huh, Mr. Terrible is short, I hadn’t noticed that before.

-Well, this won’t end well.

-I love it when the editor’s note boxes are snarky.

-I feel like that’s a bit of meta-commentary.

-Aww, Linnya’s being angsty. Which makes sense, she IS a teenager.

-And thinking on it, it is a bit weird that all her friends are so much older than her.

-Oooh, that’s an interesting way of conveying what’s happening.

-Hah, Liefeldian designs!

-And now we know why they mentioned Linnya hanging out with all adults; the other Terrifics are mentally reverting to teenagerhood.

-Oh, it’s cuz they’re being whammied.

-Huh, the Terrifics are in the ‘80s but the Terribles are in the ‘60s?

-Bizarroboy? Wut?
