Also, I flat out do not understand why people make silent protagonists. You're either expecting me to accept projecting onto Your Favorite OC on the strength of their cover art, or excpecting me to just like, let the MC be an embodiment of me.

I'm having none of that. I do not accept having zero control over appearance or identity. If your game doesn't let me do that on it's own (I really liked that Dragon Age Veilguard has a transmog system for both player and armor), I WILL MOD IT.

legitimate question ....... why do people like to tell me all the reasons they don't like miraculous ladybug? i know i complain about the fact a lot, and i find myself on the defensive a lot, and i keep telling myself i'll stop and let it go, but it really is hard when people are always coming onto my posts, in my replies, in my comments, on my art and my fics and my text posts and anything i make, and telling me blatantly all the ways that they don't like the thing that i so blatantly find enjoyment in. "the show is bad". okay? good for you? why are you on my post about it? why don't you make your own? why are you telling me, specifically, this, on the art/fic/analysis i made that i assume you found by searching through the tag?

it's kind of a behavior that i legitimately don't understand. I'm a human being and I hate a lot of things, too. there are things i've loved at first and been disappointed by and have strong opinions about. there are things i like to complain about. so i'll complain about them to my friends or my family or my cat. but i have never, once, not even for a single moment, thought, "oh let me go into the tags of this media, find a positive post about it written by someone who's having fun with it, and make it that random stranger's problem". never once.

i just don't get it. i really don't get it. i sometimes worry that i come across like i'm heavily critical of people who just personally don't like the show, when really i'm just trying to defend my interests to the droves of strangers who are always coming specifically to me to tell me all the ways they hate the thing that makes me happy.

just.......... why? where does the urge come from? what do you get out of this?

After begging and begging for sooo long (it only took him 5 minutes to agree cause he can’t resist ur puupy eyes) he finally agrees to let u do makeup or skincare on him.

You slip on a little headband for him, brushing whatever hair out of his face before giving him a pat on the cheeks comically, making him shrink up.

“Please, don’t make me regret this,” he murmurs, and you offer him a kiss on his cheek, to both, reassure him and humor him, just a little.

“Trust me,” you hum. “You get into a good skincare routine, you’ll be obsessed with it.”

“Is that why you spend all our money on this?” He chuckles. You nod and he sighs, motioning for you to begin your process on his skin.

You wet a warm wash cloth and dab it gently on his skin, making it damp enough for the cleanser to foam slightly. When you’re done, you grab some of your cleanser and work it into the skin, trying to ignore how cute he is nuzzling into your palm.

“Feels nice,” he says.

“See?” You hum. “It’s good for you too.”

When the cleanser has fully frothed, you wash his face again with the washcloth, rolling the fabric over his cheeks to soak up the suds from his now clean skin. You fan your hands to let it air dry, and he snickers and bats your hands away, “listen I can’t afford a black eye.”

“I would never,” you assure. Then, your fingers latch onto his cheek and pull, and he whines along with his grin. “Wouldn’t want to taint this pwetty face, hmm?”

“I’d hope not,” he says, shaking out of your hold. “What’s next?”

“Serums,” you answer, grabbing the small glass bottle, “I’ll give you a nice hydrating one, so your skin doesn’t fall off.”

“…what.”

“Yeah, acids can make your skin fall off,” you lie. But the way his eyes widen makes you laugh and break the facade, causing him to soften and let out a sigh.

“You know, you’re really good at making me regret bonding with you,” he grumbles.

You shush him softly, “you’re safe now, don’t worry. But acids would help the little black heads on your nose…” without warning, you move your fingers up to try and squeeze his nose, causing him to reel back with a small yelp, “please let me pop one.”

“No! Heel!” He panics. “God, just finish the routine, I’m scared of you now.”

“Fine, fine,” you relent, using the pipette to dribble some of the hydrating serum onto your palms. You rub it slightly to emulsify before softly patting it onto his skin, smiling at the way he angles into your touch. “Doesn’t that feel nice?”

“I just like the way your hands feel,” he murmurs. “It’s nice when you’re not trying to attack me.”

“One of these days, you’re going to let me at your pores, and then you’ll really hate the way my hands feel.”

“Is there any way I can talk you out of it?”

“No.”

He takes a deep breath in to ground himself while you scoop a healthy mixture of moisturizer in your hand.

“I already dread the day.”

I've said it before that taylor's many years of receiving (often unwarranted and ridiculous) criticism have seemingly skewed her ability to pick up on what is valid criticism and what's just ""haters"" and she pretty much proved that correct with but daddy I love him and I fear that is now her attitude towards all criticism (even without the excuse of being blinded by love or whatever). which is sort of why it would probably help to be surrounded by more people who can help make that judgement of valid criticism vs celebrity hate. but alas :/

i know the pjo tv show is beyond help aside from the lovely main cast but it irritates me to no end when they add in useless side characters while deeply struggling to properly characterize their most important ones. alison my ass, chris rodriguez is RIGHT THERE. solely focus on that, if at all. given how short these episodes are and the resulting shallowness of some of most pivotal scenes, dishing out screen time like oprah to a bunch of nobody characters is not going to elevate the show in any way, shape, or form. deviating from the text-established percy-centric narrative and introducing additional plot points to some behind-the-scenes luke narrative when they miss the mark on the main storyline is just yet another distraction and waste of energy on everyone’s part
