Thank you for the compliments on my art, I always like looking at you're strawberry shortcake designs did you make anymore?
Hello!! No problem, your art is always very nice to look at ^_^
I actually haven't made too many other strawberry shortcake designs/work, as I've been focused on other things, but I spent all day whipping up some head-shots just to get some vague ideas out...
HIIIII WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE FIGGY PUDDING EP
ALSO DO YOU HAVE ANY HEADCANONS ABT LIKE,,,, BREADS FAMILY AT ALL??
OOOO I don’t think I have really thought about his family before this is gonna be a think as we go along answer
My thoughts on the ep is that it’s REALLY interesting to actually like, see the berries family life (it’s something I love about the show) and for Bread I liked seeing how his moms ideals made him into a perfectionist. By the end of the episode it’s revealed that Figgy Pudding really just wants the best for her son and wants him to be happy because HE MADE NEW FRIENDS !! Good ep, some very silly moments and I love the berryworks found family gang :((
OKAY HEADCANONS
Listen you have to see the vision ok. Figgy Pudding x Banoffee
So I guess Bread will be getting another mom sometime in the future
He gives only child energy honestly
I’ve said this in other posts but I think Bread is South Asian (like his va iirc) and Latino (because I like to project)
He’s such a mama’s boy… (as if the Figgy Pudding ep didn’t prove that but I digress)
Strawberry and Lime: omg I can’t believe we met Banoffee
Bread: oh that’s my soon to be stepmom
Anyways Bread and his mom love each other even if they get on each others nerves a bit that is all <3
I honestly don’t have that many family headcanons i wish I did </3 if you have any I would LOVE to hear them
I've been thinking a bit about the family naming convention used in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City, first introduced in the two-part episode Berry Bitty Banquet.
In the world of BitBC, children are named after their parents by combining the first part of one parent's name and the last part of the other, at least based on the names we've learned in season one. And since both Lemon Meringue and Orange Blossom get the first part of their names from their dads (technically, so does Lime, but that's a given, considering she only has dads), we can assume that the same is true for Strawberry Shortcake and Blueberry Muffin (making Blueberry's dad Blueberry Bagel). Now, Raspberry Tart's parents were mentioned by name in part one of Bake Off but not which was which, so using this reasoning we can speculate that Raspberry Ambrosia is her father and Mulberry Tart is her mother. Of course, this might not be an actual rule the writers used while coming up with the names of the parents of the main girls, and it could just be a coincidence. We'll have to wait for more parents to show up in order to figure it out.
Now, my main reason for analyzing the naming patterns is to figure out how Plum Pudding is going to fit into the series. Plum Pudding has been a character in every previous iteration of the SSC franchise, so I doubt that they would be left out of this one. And I've speculated since episode one that they are related to Bread Pudding in some way, especially considering that the families we've seen all share a color scheme that is dictated by the Legacy Character in their group (i.e. Orange Blossom's family all having orange and light blue in their outfits, even though orange and pink/red would make more sense for a family of cherries and oranges). Since Bread Pudding's color scheme is brown and deep purple, it would definitely make sense for him to be related to Plum Pudding, and given the naming conventions we've already gone over, it would make the most sense for Plum Pudding to be his parent, specifically his mom. But it seems strange for all the other characters who originated in the 80s to be around the same age and only Plum Pudding to get aged up. Granted, Sour Grapes was an adult in the 80s and is the same age as the main girls in BitBC, so it's not like the showrunners are beholden to the original. And if Plum Pudding is introduced as a character on the same level of Aunt Praline, then it could work, I suppose. But if the showrunners do want Plum Pudding to be the same age as the main cast, they could be introduced as Bread Pudding's cousin. Bread's parent could be some other Plum confection, leaving the color scheme intact. We'll just have to wait for season two to find out.
