tiny update to all the things i'm doing and will be doing and all the bullshit i'm working on [there is a lot!]

So, first of all, I know i've been super inactive, yeah. I started working on a zine [!!! as a mod!!!!!], and got a ton of health issues on the way [as per usual], so my energy levels have been all over the place. To explain all the happenings as a list;

BISU, the software!

still working out the kinks and possibilities, while settling on how to start the project so we can maybe gather some new people and coders. Would be insanely helpful.

Settled on what each version should have and what we need, just need to work out the math and all the dumb kinks of graphic tablets. Will take time, but it's headache inducing.

Zines; a masterlist

working on the disability companion for a vidya

doing a zhongven zine. there's a lot going on there but it's alright . skull emoji

kitty love zine! about 25% done. It features a ton of cats [duh] including my own dumbasses

seazine; scrapped the old version. will probably remake it in csp cause procreate kinda sucks for that

Illu projects

Doing mermay and a bunch of other competition works! Mostly using this as just an opportunity to train and get better, cause I feel like I suck!

Making a few smaller illus for prints; focusing on a simpler design that could be pleasant for a green interior. Looking for a good print-on-demand service still [cause printful doesn't have the best ratings, tbh]

Buncafe

biiiig backburner. Have to wait for better wifi to focus on it more, unfortunately.

Fanworks masterlist

tmnt fancomic still in progress! had to put it on the backburner due to all the other stuff happening

doing a bit of genshin redesigns?? it's kinda fun and i can't wait to show them all off

also drawing a manga based off of outward's world and lore! I hope to release it on a chapter by chapter basis, so all the binge readers can just go through a chapter and then wait for the next "episode" instead of a single page per week [it's also kind of better for my health state]

Animation

Working on a baby show [!!!]! still storyboarding it out and learning things on the way. I'll probably have to learn 3d to cut corners a bit here and there, otherwise this will suck real bad

there's a secret in the works. it's taking a long time but i hope it will be something enjoyable :-]

malignant (2021) didn’t make the best first impression for us here at spooky tuesday — so we were a lil nervous to revisit it on our latest episode. but with thanksgiving right around the corner, we could think of no better time to cover such a family-focused flick, and boy are we glad we did. now that we’ve done our horror homework by exploring more of director james wan’s oeuvre and cinematic influences, we may have finally built the right foundation to appreciate this bonkers batshit off-the-wall movie for the messy, camp realness it is.

Banyak orang terluka sebenarnya bukan dari luar tapi dari dalam rumahnya sendiri. Mungkin karna keluarga yg toxic, pikirannya berantakan perasaannya pun porak-poranda.

Yang menjadi makan sehari-hari adalah toxic yang di keluar langsung dari mulut keluarga, keluarga yang hanya menghakimi dirinya tak ada ruang untuk membela diri.

Dia dengan segala kesediaanya di keheningan malam bersama tetasan air mata pada bantal. Air mata mengadukan semua pahit kehidupan pada dzat yg menciptakan di keheningan.

Sungguh berat berada di lingkungan keluarga yg toxic, setiap langkah selalu saja di komentari. Dia wanita malang yang air matanya selalu saja menetes pada saat racun racun itu keluar.

Dia wanita yang tak pernah di apresiasi keberadaannya, sekeder untuk menerima ungkapan terimakasih pun tidak pernah dia rasakan.

Dia wanita yang lemah, yang tak bisa bekerja seperti wanita lainnya, dia di rumah dengan segala kesedihannya.

Dia wanita yang selalu di pandang remeh tak yg bisa diandalkan, selalu dan selalu di remehkan.

Dia wanita yang tidak bisa apa apa, dia selalu saja disalahkan dalam setiap keadaan seolah-olah tak ada kebenaran.

Dia wanita dengan segala kekurangan masih bisa hidup atas izin-Nya, sebenarnya kehidupan dirumah telah membuatnya begitu terluka.

Dia pikir rumah adala tempat ternyaman untuk pulang namun nyata dia malah tersakiti.

Dia wanita dengan segala lukanya. Yang sampai detik ini belum bisa melupa akan lukanya.

Jika hari ini kamu di masih memiliki beberapa wanita entah itu ini, saudara perempuan, adik perempuan atau anak perempuan mu. Maka sayangilah, sungguh beban di pikirannya begitu banyak.

Mereka memang tidak bisa menjadi mesin uang untuk mu, terlebih saudara perempuan mu, dia lemah dengan segala kekurangannya.

Kalimat kalimat merendahkan dan menyakiti itu semua masih bersemayam dalam pikirannya.

Jika kamu kira dia nampak bahagia, kamu salaah besar. Dia tidak seper apa yang kamu pikirkan.

do u speak any other languages?

only enough to find my way if im lost and my phone dies. I found it more fun to learn about the building blocks of languages and the etymologies and linguistics. and theatre and drama. gaming taught me to swear at people in various common languages. its been a long time, thats rusty. and folk songs. Bella ciao, bella, Ciao! Allez Allez! but the next one i try learn will be sign language. If its good enough for the prisoners, the dancers, the kids and the deaf then its good enough for me. NZSL but with swearing and a focus on Te Reo words so I can learn a bit of Korero too.

MALIGNANT (2021)

💁‍♀️Strong Female Lead

James Wan seemed a bit self indulgent with this one but otherwise it was very fun and heartwarming by the end.

Trigger Warning Domestic Violence, Pregnancy Loss, Seizure, Rape Mention

We meet the very pregnant Madison who gets into a verbal fight with her husband and then a physical altercation with him which was not cool. She locks herself in the bedroom with a head wound (yikes) and he sleeps on the couch. (Also, Maddy works in the field of healthcare so I have no idea how she went to sleep with a bleeding head wound but okay movie magic) Not too late into the evening does the husband find himself being haunted by something spooky that kills him and then seems to be coming for Maddy. In all the fuss she loses the baby which is of course devastating. In one night she loses both her husband and her baby (sad!). 

So she comes back to her house after the apparent home invasion because she refuses to let them take her home from her too but doesn’t have the common sense to lock the doors when she showers at night? Because when she realizes that the shadow man is in the street she has to run down the stairs to lock the front door and close the curtains and then when she goes for the back door it is already open. At this point you would think Mads wants to die. I couldn’t believe it! Then she runs upstairs and locks the door after hearing noises and tells herself that it is nothing and that it is all in her head and I literally said out loud “You don’t know that!” because it could just be a regular fella right now coming in off the street to kill her, she is being SO DUMB ALREADY and it hasn’t even been half an hour. I am perplexed by this character and her actions. ANYWAY.

People keep dying and Madison is having visions about them but she is also mysteriously involved with them in her childhood (like how she was adopted). When she has these visions she is paralyzed though (important to note). She tells the police about her wacky visions and that her old imaginary friend, Gabriel, was killing people, even one officer gets attacked by a strange backwards man but no forward progress is made. Actually things come to a head when they find a lady in Maddy's attic as well as the murder weapon… Dun dun dun! But I don’t know why the one detective thinks Mads is the killer, Kekoa literally got his ass beat and nearly killed by a backwards man but he still thinks that Maddy could be the culprit, that’s hilarious. (yeah, absolutely outrageous)

While Mads is in jail, her sister does some digging and God bless that she goes to the abandoned mental facility with no bolt cutters. I mean, it is in the script that she gets in, but let’s be honest with ourselves and know she might encounter some locked fences or doors on her way to her goal. She gets the files and videos they need and everything is even rewound for them. They find out that, plot twist, Gabriel is Madison's conjoined twin! They tried to cut him off of her but he just compressed himself within her and it took the domestic violence earlier to break him out of skull jail (this is why the back of Maddy's head is always bleeding). Back at the jailhouse Gabriel taps in and busts up the pack of bad jail babes and they were terrified to see Gabriel come out of the back of Madison's head (as they should have been, he promptly murdered them all with extreme prejudice). Gabe works his way to a guard, gets the keys, breaks out of jail, but doesn’t hand back the controls to Maddy which is a big problem because Madison hasn’t learned how to wake up when Gabe is controlling her. 

Gabe, now obviously in Madison's backwards body, is just slaying every cop he sees. It is sort of amazing, I am having The Crow flashbacks what with all the dramatic hair and the dramatic cloak and the dramatic action. Either way Gabriel killed all the cops but the main ones we liked (thanks, guy). Then we are in the hospital with Gabe and Mads real mom who gave them up for adoption way back when. Gabriel is ready to end things, he also wants to end Madison's “new” sister who she chose over him and Maddy is trying desperately to wake up and take control of her body. Then her sister drops the biggest bomb, GABRIEL WAS FEEDING OFF MADISON'S FETUS’ TO GAIN STRENGTH FOR HIS RETURN, WHAT AN ASSHOLE. This is enough for Maddy to power through, push out Gabe, take back over and save the day! Gabe goes into mind jail, he says he will break out and Maddy says she doesn’t care, it is the most sibling argument ever. It ends with the two sisters hugging because the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.
