The wolf's fangs are like knives. They are made for killing, but their kills are utilitarian. To the wolf, killing is surviving. Killing is its nature. The wolf's fangs are utensils first and weapons second.
The bison has no pragmatic excuse for its horns. The bison doesn't kill to survive. Killing is not in its nature. The bison's horns are like swords, only there to hurt others in the name of self-defense, or to spar in the name of pride.
Humans fear the wolf's fangs because they understand the effectiveness of a pragmatic utensil. But humans are not the prey of wolves.
Humans should fear the bison's prideful defensiveness, for when your only protection is a sword, your only defense is a swift and ruthless offense.

The thing is, basic survival wouldn't be too hard for me. Just gotta find food (which literally grows and trees and springs out of the dirt) and water and avoid getting killed by a wolf or a hunter.
However
I'm specifically a bull bison, and a spike bull (3-4 yrs old) at that, meaning the only thing on my mind would be building a harem. And when a very determined spike bull goes up against a stub-horn bull, and neither refuses to give up... it does not end well for the spike bull.
If I was turned into my theriotype, my own hubris would overwhelm me and, like Icarus, I would gain a swift death at my own hands hooves.
poll because i was entertaining this idea earlier. i’d like to imagine i’d immediately adapt to my wolf body but i’d probably fail at hunting and die.

Since I can't get this out of my head, I need to write my rambling thoughts on the first scene we have of our assassin brothers killing their target.
Firstly, using Bison as the honeybait? - erm, that's a deliberate choice. I am also struck into thinking our brothers have probably study their target and aware the crime boss has a type and his type is Bison. Also, no 88? - again, I am not sure whether it is deliberate or not, but 8 is considered a lucky no in Buddhism. And so, to have '88' as your no, it is suggesting "double luck" for his endeavors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, I am struck most by Bison almost glassy, blank but still smiling eyes as he goes on methodically seducing his target so that the crime lord gets his guard down before both brothers finish his job. This is in comparison to Fadel's eyes, which are just stone cold as he keeps it professional (one has to wonder how often does Bison gets delegate into the honeybait role)
Tumblr media
And the reason why I keep thinking of the eyes from both brothers is that we have almost the "exact" same pose at the end of the official trailer as comparison, where the eyes tell a different story 👇 (Bison worried, almost anxious while Fadel seems angry - so who are they killing/targeting to show that sort of reaction?)
Tumblr media
Anyway, ignore my rambling...I am obviously still deep in my THK fangirling mode that I am dissecting every single thing 😅. For all I know, these are just rubbish thoughts and I am just thinking way too deep about it.

Sometimes I get really sad when I notice that a mutual hasn't interacted in a while. Then I check their blog, and it's because they have moved on.
It's how it's supposed to be. Life goes on.
But I like what we have here so much and I'm so not ready to let Käärijä go that it still makes me sad that people are getting there.
I hope I won't be the last one

I use these when gardening. They're made of wood and make a clippy cloppy noise when I walk, and there's just something about the shape and color that makes my brain register them as hooves :D

Heart killer Initial Reaction Ep 1
I haven’t posted a reaction since the trainee aka lesbians are craft assholes and 10 mins of offgun but I’m back baby!!! Ready for some Thai BL let’s go
So haven’t looked up anything about the show ahead of time no background stuff. Heartkiller looks like Jojo has a decent budget. Sound track is bopping. I am a little nervous about the intelligence level of the characters but maybe that will be revealed later. All in all was an exciting ep.
Let’s get into the photo review
Tumblr media
Taming of the shrew???? More like training of the brat. It’s first’s pingeon hold role in The Eclipse, Only Friends, and HeartKiller anyways.
Tumblr media
Okay surprise relatable fave in Style he’s a mechanic taking over his dad’s business. I enjoy his manic “I spend too much time with myself attitude”
Tumblr media
Me looking at other people’s kpop and or Danmei collection. 🤤🤤 let me break in and take your limited edition BTS seasons greeting for 2016? This is true envy
Tumblr media
Also you should see the moves I pull in the car
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay so Fadel needs to reevaluate things because idk why he feels like he owes Bison something but… bison is like a newborn dumbass… I’m not really digging it TBH. I’m hoping maybe it’s a… act but he just seems to be a whiny little brain empty human with a magnet dick.
Tumblr media
I hope so because good lord bison is dumb.
Tumblr media
But awwwwwww how cute!!!!!!! Side note styling on both Kant and Bison is very sexy I guess!!! I don’t love First’s fake tattoos but maybe it’s just me so don’t worry. I hope that Kant’s character will be a smarter version of Porsche. Big brother being forced into fucking someone to protect the little bro.
Tumblr media
I probably will get shot being near him. Is how I’m interrupting this. ALSO KANT?! You sending your bro in there blind? Sending him to flirt with A KNOWN DEADLY MAN?! I was hoping Kant could be smart but nope… or maybe he doesn’t care????
Tumblr media
I really thought Fadel was getting Style drunk so that he could stab him to death easier being thrown out is a good thing really. Fadel seems to be too smart for the other characters. However he’s tied to Bison so I can’t see this going well.
Anyways I’m excited to see where we go next!!!!

i thought it might be interesting if my interpretation of the lamb had a cult mainly made of animals that have been used as sacrifice throughout history.
My thinking behind this is that lamb wants to reminded of their family and thus has decided to protect those that have been at higher risk of being sacrificed in the name of the old faith.
On the other hand my interpretation of the goat is more logical about who joins their cult though they still will take in people who need protection they are especially fond of horses I think
This list of animals comes the Wikipedia page for animal sacrifice, the Wikipedia page for rabbit test, an exhibit from the Smithsonian of a mummified cat, an article on the roots of easter, and articles about the history of the rabbit/hare in the moon
I ignored the many mentions of sheep and goats on the Wikipedia page.
Interestingly the most common ones mentioned after the sheep and goat are cows, pigs and birds
Below the cut is a list of animals a little about the history of them being sacrificed and wether or not we already have that follower form in cult of the lamb. I won't get very graphic with the history part though I will mention if they were specifically mummified. I will mainly be mentioning in what culture and religions they were used as sacrifice, what was thought to be gotten from the sacrifice and the deity the sacrifice was made to
Also domestic animals that people consider pets are in this list you have been warned
gazelle - not in cult of the lamb - only mentioned in the prehistory section of the wiki page and is found in ancient egypt specifically buried at the foot of a grave but it seems to have been rare
felines specifically domestic cats with fur - in cult of the lamb (also has a sphinx, lion, tiger) - while killing cats was considered a crime in ancient egypt there were many exceptions made as some specifically raised cats for sacrifice or people wished to be buried with their pets. Cats were mummified and given elaborate coffins
hippo - in cult of the lamb - once again in ancient egypt and only mentioned once in the wiki page most likely was in honor of powerful citizens or buried with an owner
baboon - not in cult of the lamb the closest we have is a monkey or gorilla - same thing as the hippo just with a baboon
cattle (includes cow, ox, bull, and buffalo) - in cult of the lamb as cow and bison though we don't have a bull, ox, buffalo though the bison follower is based on the American buffalo/bison maybe we could use a water buffalo - this one is mentioned to many times for me to go into much detail but here's how many times it's mentioned outside of the references on the wiki page Cattle 6 times, Cow 9 times, Bull 8 times, Buffalo 6 times, Ox 4 times, and heifer has 1
pig - in cult of the lamb - also to commonly used for me to go into detail though apparently Scythians would never sacrifice them and hated having swine on their land. Now for how often pig and swine are mentioned outside of the references and the Scythians section swine 2 times, pig 17 times
fowl includes geese, duck, pheasant and chicken but it's usually just listed as fowl so this will be a case by case thing so I'll only mention one of the bird if it's a livestock animal or is mentioned in the wiki page - in cult of the lamb as chicken and duck we don't have goose or pheasant - birds are used to much for me to go into detail so the times mentioned is happening again though the pheasant gets a bit of detail specifically it's a green pheasant that used to be sacrificed at Shinto festivals in Japan now for the times mentioned, bird 2 times, goose/geese 2 times, rooster/chicken 7 times, poultry 1 time, fowl 2 times, duck 1 time
horse (plus donkey) - in cult of the lamb as horse to be fair a donkey follower would look kinda the same in-game we also have a unicorn - horses and donkeys are mentioned as a possiblity in ancient greece but there doesn't seem to be much evidence for it, Scythians considered horses to be the most prestigious offering, large amounts of horses would be sacrificed in ancient china however this seems to be rare as the wiki page just has a picture in that section labeled Horse sacrifice to Duke Jing of Qi 5th century BCE China, horses have also been used in Japan as sacrifice in the same context as the pheasant
canines specifically domestic dogs and wild dogs - in cult of the lamb as dog, poppy (a schnauzer), Ralpherz and Frankerz we don't really have a wild dog but the wild canines we have are fox, fennec fox, and wolf - in ancient rome Robigo was specifically given red dogs (and red wine) for protection of crops from blight and red mildew, dogs and wild dogs were used in ancient china being sacrificed at different times of the year by nobles but these sacrifices would lessen if there were hard times the dogs were considered spirit guides, there's also the story of the church grim a black dog in church graveyards which comes from the belief that the first to be buried in a graveyard would have to guard it and help spirits but couldn't pass on so a dog was buried first
camel - not in cult of the lamb the closest we have is llama - used in Islam by those on pilgrimage to mecca during Eid al-Adha the wording of the wiki page implies that the camel is sacrificed by a group also mentions that the meat is shared amongst the community it's one of four species that are considered lawful for this sacrifice
bear - in cult of the lamb - sacrificed in Japan at some Shinto festivals as well as at lomante (イオマンテ) sometimes written as Iyomante (イヨマンテ) which is a ainu ceremony that uses a brown bear
deer - in cult of the lamb as deer, stag, moose and deer skull - sacrificed in Japan at some Shinto festivals
hare - not in cult of the lamb - Hares were buried with humans in neolithic age europe archaeologists interpret this as a religious ritual with hares representing rebirth this tradition continued for a long time, hares have also been used in rituals related to the beginning of spring which is likely the pagan origin of easter
rabbit - in cult of the lamb (there's also star bunny) - rabbits are less historically sacrificed but are still associated with it for example the story behind the rabbit in the moon is about self sacrifice though it's been interpreted as both hare and rabbit, there is also the rabbit test or friedman test an early pregnancy test rabbits were injected with the urine of a person who might be pregnant the rabbit is then dissected to look for changes in the ovaries other animals have been used for this but rabbits are the more well known one

A bison has no greater ideals about the natural world or the circle of life. Death is death. If we weren't killed, we would multiply and overgraze with no regard for the balance of nature. Herbivores live a life concerned with survival and breeding and trucking along despite a broken leg or an infected wound. Herbivores don't feel pity or justice or solidarity. Being killed by a wolf or a human, for food or a trophy, is the same to me. Both deaths just mean my opportunity to battle and mate has come to an end and that I'll no longer taste spring grass or groom another's fur and get groomed in return - if death even means that much. Bison don't speculate on death. We gore a wolf to death with no remorse, and we walk past a dead brother without mourning. All my deeper thoughts about death and fairness stem from my human instincts and my gnollish mindset. There's nothing 'bison' about speculations on what's wrong and right.
I personally don't get the hype about real fur or taxidermy of your therian species. I have more problems looking at pictures of killed wolves, than people tbh. I get more angry and traumatized by it so I don't wanna be near a pelt or stuffed wolf at all.
It's like- It's like you would put human skin as a carpet, or put a stuffed human corpse in your living room. I mean- who would do that?
I also made sure that the wolffangs I got for christmas are not from hunted wolves, cuz I don't want to support hunters. Would feel wrong to me.
I mean I could never be vegan and I know how many animals get killed every year, but killing for food is still something different to me than killing for decoration. One helps you to survive, the other is a waste of a life.
Does anyone here relate to my thoughts or is it just me? ._.

Can you believe there used to be several herds of bison in North America, each containing upward of 4 million bison? It's estimated that a herd could lose 20,000 individuals during a single river crossing, but that the herds were so massive the drownings wouldn't even put a dent in it. Bison used to cover the continent. The only herds that come close to this scale are the annual wildebeest migrations of East Africa
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is what the American prairie used to look like.
I can't even grasp what powers could drive humans to bring bison to the brink of extinction. It seems impossible that a population of 60 million could be brought down to 600, purely through hunting.

Spirit World Shenanigans
Kyoshi: Aww, what's your sky bison's name? Yangchen: Nujian. Kyoshi, yelling to Kuruk: TRY NUJIAN! Kuruk, on the computer: DIDN'T WORK! Yangchen: Kyoshi: What's your favorite number?
----- Korra: Do you ever wonder why you're still single? Wan, eating mayonnaise straight out of the jar with a spoon: Yeah… I mean, I'm perfect! Who wouldn't want to date me? Korra, sighing: I can name a few people…
-----
And here's a meme I made!

Bonus: Looks like he could kill you, kills himself: Kuruk

My problem is that I'm a bovine in a human body. I crave acceptance from other bovines, but that can only happen with bottle-fed calves. And a bottle-fed calf is just about the most dangerous farm animal there is, because it has no sense of personal space and it doesn't realize how fragile a human is compared to a bovine. As long as I'm living in a human body, I can not afford to have more than a pet/owner relationship with a cow, because anything else would be potentially lethal. And I don't want to have that kind of relationship with my conspecifics or cousins. I want companionship and friendship and I want to be part of the herd. And that's just not possible. And the alternative - to own cows - just makes me more species dysphoric.
I do want human kids though. And I want a lot of them, at least 3 or 4, preferably more. But that's more related to my gnoll identity than my bison identity.
Animal-identity and kids?
Saw some other people in the community talk about this so I thought I would agree with them and add my two cents Recently (before I saw the posts actually!) I had been thinking about my future mostly about how I don't want to have kids and after a while I thought "What if I could give birth to a litter of kittens?" and that completely changed my view on being a parent (I still never want human kids)
I'd love to care for a litter of kittens and since that first initial thought I haven't really been able to get it out of my head.. I want kittens I want kits and I can't really do that at this point in my life and it makes me really sad
