Last song: Swimming Pool by The Front Bottoms

Favorite colors: I love green so so much!! It's defiantly my favourite color. It has so many beautiful shades but I especially love olive green. I even have green highlights in my hair. I also adore pink (it's my second favourite color). After those two I quite enjoy blues, reds and browns.

Last book: The last book I read was one I read for my Post Colonial Lit class and finished last night. It's called From Heaven Lake and it's by Vikram Seth. It's a travelogue about an Indian student in China going on a road trip through Mainland China, Tibet, and Nepal on his way back to India. It was really interesting for me as a fellow non-westerner who speaks Mandarin and has had similar experiences to the narrator. In terms of comics, I reread my tpb of Young Avengers volume 1 last night since I had a certain shapeshifter on the brain.

Last TV Show: El secreto del río. Es buenísimo! I was originally gonna write my thoughts in Spanish because that's the language the show is in, but also, I suck at writing in Spanish and don't want to embarrass myself. But I really loved the emphasis on friendship the show had and the ways it represented gender especially with los muxes!

Sweet/spicy/savory: I love all three and it really depends on my mood. If I had to pick I'd go with either spicy or sweet. My favorite flavor of them all, though, is sour. What can I say? I adore lemons!

Relationship status: Single (by choice 🤟)

Last thing I googled: "wedding band hand" it's for a drawing of the above-mentioned shapeshifter.

Current obsession: Honestly I'm kinda in an in between stage of obsessions. I've been pretty busy with end of term stuff (next week is my last week of classes) but I've been reading a lot of comics lately.

l;aksgd omg ok first of all apologies in advance i have read minimal hal jordan so. this will be mostly based off the instances he's crossed over into other plotlines i've read, or green lantern animated

First impression: omg im trying 2 remember the first time i saw hal jordan... i think i first saw him and actually knew who he was in green lantern animated... i found him kind of obnoxious

Impression now: from what I see people post about him, I'm interested in reading some of his stuff, but I don't have strong opinions. I think seeing him interacting after coming back from being parallax and still having his relationships with some of his old friends like dinah and roy is interesting.

Favorite moment: I liked when he restarted the sun in final night...

Idea for a story: IDK but the way I see people talking aobut his time as parallax really makes me curious about it and his journey there so... an idea that has alraedy been written

Unpopular opinion: ok he can be talented im not denying that but DC needs to shut up about ~teh best green lantern~ or whtaever. every time i am trying to read a story for a non-hal jordan character and people go on about hal jordan and how he's the best green lantern i am like (to the writer) shut up about hal jordan already

Favorite relationship: I like him being supportive to Roy

do you ever think about how marvel ran an x-men story in the 80s/90s where a beautiful alien goes to earth seeking help and despite knowing only violence and having been dehumanized and objectified at the whim of a cruel overlord they discover their humanity and compassion through falling in love with one of the new mutants

it really is so weird that they have jen’s hair start off in tight curls and then turn to blowout waves when she becomes she hulk like. they couldve just had tatiana maslaney keep her natural hair texture but didn’t, which means it was an active choice to portray her curls as looser when she’s meant to be stronger/in control/more attractive/etc
