Bisexuality, as a sexual orientation, encompasses attraction to more than one gender. Despite growing acceptance, bisexual individuals often confront unique challenges that differ from both heterosexual and homosexual experiences.

guys bisexuality isn’t always and really never a stepping stone to becoming a lesbian or straight.

sure sexuality can be fluid, but in most cases (from what i’ve seen) people who id as bi, but aren’t, do so, because they mistake their attraction! simple as that.

it’s not that they were sexually/romantically attracted to all genders, but rather that they mistook some sort of feeling/another type of attraction as sexual/romantic.

like imagine this, there’s a girl named Sue, cause i said so 🧍‍♀️

so sue thinks she she’s bi because she fell for her girl bestfriend, in reality she doesn’t and never has liked men, but she did id as bi for a couple years before realising it’s comphet.

she was never bi to begin with.

* note: there is NOTHING wrong with trying out new labels! *

the point is bisexuality is very real, not a phase or a stepping stone where you suddenly loose attraction to a specific gender!

as bi week comes to an end, I wanna make a few more reminders to everyone and all bisexuals reading this.

you are still bisexual if you have a male leaning preference

you are still bisexual if you have a female leaning preference

you are still bisexual if your preference goes outside the binary

you are still bisexual if you don't have a preference

you are still bisexual if you're single

you are still bisexual if you have no desire to date

you are still bisexual if you're in a same sex relationship

you are still bisexual if you're in a different sex relationship

you are still bisexual if you're in a monogamous relationship

you are still bisexual if you're in an open relationship

you do not have to pick a side

you are not "promiscuous" or "confused"

you're not "50% gay" or "50% straight" you're 100% you and 100% bi 200% perfect!

you define what bisexuality looks like for you! Bisexuality is a spectrum and varies for different people. And that's ok!

Lastly,

bisexual people don't need to "pick a side"

bisexual people aren't "confused" or "whores"

bisexual people aren't more likely to "cheat on their partner(s)"

bisexual people more than likely don't wanna be part of your orgy :/

bisexual people aren't "pretending"

bisexual women aren't straight

bisexual men aren't gay

bisexual people have been here, are here, and will always be here! You can't get rid of us! 🥰

Bisexuality isn’t a phase, a stepping stone, or something defined solely by the gender of a partner it’s a valid, vibrant identity with challenges, joys, and triumphs. The world needs stories that reflect this truth, stories that capture the full spectrum of bisexual experiences: love, struggle, identity, and community.

These stories matter deeply. They break down barriers, challenge stigma, and foster understanding. For someone questioning their identity, seeing an authentic reflection of themselves can be life changing. For allies and advocates, these narratives can be powerful tools to build empathy and support. Every story told with care and honesty brings us closer to a world where bisexual voices are heard and valued.

This is a call to action. Writers, creators, and advocates: the time to tell these stories is now. Each story is a step toward visibility and acceptance, a way to celebrate bisexual lives in all their complexity and beauty. The world is ready for these narratives are you ready to share them? Let’s commit to living our truth, one story at a time, and ensure that bisexual experiences are seen, understood, and celebrated. the bi to lesbian pipeline is crazy and i am still uncertain if i am a lesbian.

i feel like i am so terrified to admit that i don’t like men and that’s the issue, saying it out loud will make it more real and im afraid i might be wrong.

So story time!

This was years ago, when I was in high school. I came out to my biological father that I was bisexual. He was like, "Its just a phase!" After that, I never even told him anything else relating to the topic.

I will state that several people in the past have assumed my sexuality based on my long standing relationship alone. Not to mention, people like to state that bisexuality isn't real. (If you believe its not valid, please block me now.)

So I actually identify as pansexual (with a bit of hints of asexuality I've found out recently), as for gender, I don't really care what people see me as. I did have some kid yell at me at a driving school if I was a male or female.

But I will state that I've completely cut my biological father out of my life for unrelated reasons. If I did tell him what I identify as now, he'd probably call me a libral or what ever.
