I am tired of people responding to my Erehisu posts by saying that Historia is gay and only loves Ymir. That isn’t going to change the fact that I headcanon Historia as bisexual or that Ymir is dead, so at least I want Historia to find love again while people like you want her to be in perpetual mourning over her first love that she lost at 15 years old.

Historia is BISEXUAL

Many people describe Historia and Ymir as lesbians, and say their romance is a lesbian one. But in truth, Historia is actually a bisexual character. We get even less bi characters than lesbian characters, and it's cool we get representation. Which makes it weird when people claim Historia is a lesbian. Like, she's bisexual yk? It's unintentional bi erasure. I'm not defending the farmer as a character, I hate that nothing character, and wish he and the pregnancy plot would disappear forever. But that doesn't change Historia's canon sexuality. If you actually beleive Historia is a lesbian, even though canon evidence claims otherwise, then whatever I don't care. But if you recognize Historia is bisexual, and you just, pretend she's not Bi because it doesn't fit your Yumihisu narrative, than I'm sorry, but that's just wrong. Btw, this is coming from a Yumihisu shipper, so don't come at me in the comments saying I'm just saying this because I'm a yumihisu anti. I love that couple to death.

people be like "HiStorIa is LesBiaN! 😗😤" when you ship erehisu, but are apparently fine with her marrying random npc farmer Joe, whose only character attribute is that he threw rocks at her when they were kids.

and they'll call you lesbophobic but really they dont give a shit about Historias sexuality, theyll just use any excuse to hate erehisu; even if theyre actually engaging in bi erasure in the process.

She loved Ymir, that's undeniable. The romantic relationship between them is integral to the plot and confirmed inside and outside it since the begining of the story.

The theory that she chose to marry Farmer to apease society eyes and minds doesn't sit right with me because it contradicts, at its core, the entire arc of self-acceptance that she went through in the previous season and dishonors the promise she made to Ymir.

Alternatively, I believe that Historia found someone she loved and continued her life despite everything she went through (carrying the memories of her first love, of course) just like the rest of the surviving cast.

Her miserable state during pregnancy can be easily explained, regardless of her attraction to the Farmer. At this point, she becomes a paw instead of a player. She is vulnerable and her faith depends on what happens on the front lines of the conflict. Historia knows the pregnancy may not guarantee her survival past 13 years and that consequently she will subject her child to it too. Imagine waking up every day with this feeling of uncertainty and all you can do is wait.

All that said, lesbian Historia headcanon is too very much valid and should be equally respected ♡
