I’ll say it. I don’t like biscuit week because it is completely unrelateable too me as an American. I don’t understand at all wanting a biscuit to be crisp or crumbly because I live in America land of liberty and completely raw cookies
It was Biscuit Week in the Bake Off tent this week. And before it aired, I was looking through one of my recipe books, and found the perfect biscuit to attempt - custard creams. So imagine my surprise when that turned out to be the technical! I didn't plan it 😅 I don't have one of their fancy custard cream cutters, so mine are more blocky. They also taste more like shortbread, which isn't necessarily a bad thing! I'll have to get better quality custard powder if I ever want to make them again.
