Extra! Extra! Read the Extra! And another Extra!

In lieu of a chapter this month, we get four extras WITH (extra) SHOUMA!

Part Time Job 1: One of Shouma's coworkers at his part time job finds his bad boy attitude charming, the other is all 'Girl... don't do it.' (We stan the brunette with the bad attitude.)

Part Time Job 2: Shouma is told to pay for his own food at a goodbye party for the blonde in the previous extra, goes home to change and sees Yoshino cooking eel (like she talked about doing for Valentine's Day). Forgets the goodbye party and goes for the good stuff.

Basically a Dog: Kirishima goes to see Yoshino for pats after Tachibana wings at bottle at him for missing curfew. Callback to a Pixiv concept sketch where he comes home all bloody after a fight and she fixes him up. This time some of the Miyama group guys join them for snacks but Kirishima wants all her attention.

Protective: Yoshino stubs her toe and get babied and coddled, but she still hates hospitals so of course she gets a treat afterwards.

Props to @papeldecelofan for pointing out his watch, which we're all thinking is the one she gave him for his birthday.

We'll be trying something new this cycle while our TS moves into their new role as the Spanish TL/TS, our Cleaner/Redrawer takes on TSing the English, and our TL takes over creating laying out Glossary Pages and footnotes!

I just have to say that I love your blog. Anytime I get a little 😩 worrying about what ts is going to do to Joe in the next few months and worrying about how this will affect him personally and in his career and what even I may think of him…your page is just the perfect landing spot (along with a few others) to just bring me back to earth!!!

To be fair, no one thought TK and TS would ever date. Now she's supposedly flying to KC for his birthday (source page six). Anything can happen, I feel her energy is completely different recently. None of us know what she wants, as clearly stated this week, have been surprise after surprise. No one's saying she's gonna get married tomorrow, but an engagement, stranger things have happened 🤷‍♀️.

Stranger things have. But I remain skeptical. She’s in the middle of a world tour. One trip to Kansas City on a break does not equal getting engaged to a guy you’ve never even gone on vacation with.

The T stuff feels painful in a dull way. Headache-inducing, falling into a daze, with a constant supply of tears.

I tried looking for other Ts. That feels pretty wrong though, still. A lot of the issue is also me - being overwhelmed and thus near-impossible to work with. T said there does not seem to be a lot of space, and I would agree with that. Space. Headspace, heartspace?

Almost no room for movement. Probably because I'm just surviving (and trying to thrive). I could put words on the last few days only today. It scared me when people were so nice about my birthday. A blast from the past, but it wasn't always acceptable for people to be nice to me.

I read A Closed and Common Orbit today and cried so much about that too (sure, it was mixed with T stuff). But the story is about injustice and survival and making a life for yourself (and most of all about taking care of one another). There's some really bad stuff in there, so be a bit careful reading... but the story was right what I needed. I bookmarked a bunch of pages.

Anyway. I better find my way back to myself somehow. I better integrate the Stranger-feels. I better decide whether to go to see T next week, or accept the 5 week break. T said, with some concern, that it'd be a very long break if I wouldn't go next week. And yes, it would be. But also, I still feel close to the burnout feels... No more heavy stuff, please. :(

I really wish his games, and especially the side games with him in it, explored more of Billy's religious side post-merging with Sothis; the tidbit on Legendary M!Billy's Meet the Heroes page about him coming out of the merge with a “saintly presence” is really interesting to think about, but it's also the closest any of the games ever come to specifying what about his personality changed due to the fusion AFAIK, and even that is ridiculously vague.

Well, it depends what you mean by "saintly presence" and tbh I don't think Billy's personality changed post fusion dance, but imo it's just that they can't act like before when Supreme Leader started her war, and after waking up, conquered half of the continent while Billy's predecessor - who asked them to look after "everyone young and old" - is MIA (and from what Billy can remember, most likely became Baldo and Waldi's food?).

But Green!Billy and post-war Green!Billy would imo be a Billy that had to "grow up real fast" like Cyril'd say, or in Billy's case, "mature real fast" as a leader and someone people look up to, more than a mere "professor" for random students, but as the leader of a faction in charge of restoring "peace" in a war torn land, and also being the leader of the CoS faction.

I love to hc students post TS thinking Billy is a prophet and "closer" to the goddess than before the fusion dance, but during tea time, Billy is the same Billy who wonders if they should offer a peeled raw turnip to Alois for his birthday or a non peeled raw turnip, and Rhea isn't here to give them "useful" pointers about how to "people".

there’s no reasons to take anything they say serious o it’s all based in delusions. the lies spread but people that easily believe lies like that weren’t gonna be on joe’s side anyways.

It’s exactly this. Like it’s literally the voices in their head convincing them of something that either didn’t happen or they would have zero idea what did or did not happen (like the example of the necklace - why would people even think his MOM bought it??!). They have been making up things since the day the breakup was announced - with mustlikeme4me leading the charge on the cheating rumours and how the breakup happened. Since she always made herself out to be some TS expert because she met her once, these sheeple believe her and now it’s just canon. And considering how much she hates Joe now and how much she pushed cheating from day 1, she is never in a million years going to go back on that.

Plus, none of it matters! This is all old news and they have to rehash some birthday party from 5 years ago because Joe gives them nothing. Was Joe perfect? Absolutely not. But he’s not some evil monster like they make him out to be. I think they would see that if they log off and get some critical thinking skills and realize they have like the tiniest snippet in the world (if that) of the actual truth. If they want to be mad about something that happened years ago, let them.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t purposefully pushing lies knowingly to prepare for the album and get people on their side. The moderators of that page are shitty enough people to do that tbh.

chapter 18 | the day has come

the day has finally come, huening's birthday

(y'all i know i'm late but i lowkey hit writer's block while i was writing this story so let's pretend.)

the party started and you greeted all the guests alongside the other txt members, hueningkai hasn't arrived and there was still some down time before the actually party began.

"thank you so much for helping us y/n." soobin says smiling.

you shake your head, "it's really no problem, i hope this party is as great as it can be."

"surprise!" everyone shouted as the birthday boy walked in the room, the party has finally begun.

as everyone got a little more settled in you walk over to a table with your friends, "i feel like it's been so long since we've been able to hang out, i'm surprised they let you out winter." you say jokingly.

"i'm surprised they let not only me, but chenle out." she adds laughing as chenle nodded along.

"hey y/n." you hear a deep voice say from behind immediately giving away who it is.

"felix, hi!" you say smiling. “if you’ll excuse me guys.” you walk away to a corner with felix.

“you look, amazing.” felix says with a warming smile.

“you clean up pretty well yourself, i’m glad you got to come despite all the shit that’s going down with the scandal.” you tell him laughing.

felix sighs, “i trust they’ll figure it out.” felix runs his hands through his hair and sighs again, “but there’s something i wanted to talk to you about y/n.”

you look at him confused, “yeah of course, what’s up?”

before felix could reply you feel a grip on your wrist, not too tight and a low whisper, “sorry to interrupt but can we get some help with the cake?” the boy asks.

you nod, “i’ll be back in a few minutes felix, ive really gotta help with the cake.” you tell him walking off with the boy.

“i would be careful talking to him y/n, you never know if someone will leak images from the inside.” yeonjun says quietly as the two of you walked to the kitchen where the cake was.

I’m like 2.5k words into a thing and I need a break. Let’s talk about hand writing and writing utensils.

L has shit handwriting normally. He does most of his writing on computers and the last time he consistently wrote things other people had to read was probably when he was like 8. If he’s writing for himself— notes, reminders, that sort of thing— he probably goes for markers, felt-tips, brush tips, and just generally pens that are generous with the ink because if you write things in a permanent medium like pen you can look back at your previous thoughts and find them so that if you hit a dead-end you can go back and look at that. If he does have to write something that other people have to read on paper, it’s going to take him a while, and he probably has a bias towards ball-points and pens that make indents in the paper because it forces him to slow down and actually write the letters out properly. Of course, his bias is always towards just opening a notes doc and figuring things out on that but in a pinch that’s the route.

Light has 1 brand of pens and mechanical pencils he buys from, and they are sharp and highly pigmented. He buys them in bulk. His handwriting could absolutely be a font and all of his notes are sterile but clearly organized. He only uses yellow highlighters. He doesn’t strike me as a docs type of guy; he seems like the type to want to write things out on paper because it’ll help him remember school material better. He dates all his pages in the bottom outside corners and numbers them if applicable and he’s actually studied how to write well.

Misa went through a quill/dip pen phase in middle school. She now uses gel pens/glitter pens but she still owns those pens and will crack them out if she wants to write a letter. She has made no effort to improve her handwriting in any way but she did learn calligraphy so while, if she took notes, they would look fairly ordinary, all the titles would be gorgeous. Not much in a situation to write a ton these days outside of using the death note, though, but if she ever made Light lunch with a note she would absolutely pull out the glitter pens.

Mello writes like a founding father. Mello does not mean to write like a founding father, but that is what has happened. Not a ton of precedent for him to write either, but he is a wooden, No 2 pencil kinda guy. If he has to write in pen it’s the blue ballpoint pens you get at school. Writing is writing; no need to get all fancy with it.

Near has not written a damn thing in his life. If you asked Near to write something on a piece of paper it would take him forever. He’s into those erasable pens, and prefers blue ink to black. He has a good enough memory to just not write things down, though, so it works out.

Beyond Birthday does not just write shit down. Writing something down is a god damn event; he has the good brush pens and the nice stationary and it is a whole thing. He has a box just filled with calligraphy stuff and stamps and inks and the whole thing. His handwriting is just art. The price, however, is that he is the slowest typist. He is more involved in pop culture and the internet as a community than your average guy, but he types with one finger like a grandmother. Regardless, in another time he would have made good money lettering.

Naomi Misora has good handwriting, but she’s not a fast writer. She uses a click pen. She does go out of her way to actually check to see if all her Ts are crossed and Is dotted, though. Great typist. Absolutely smudges the ink on most things she writes on, which is not a deterrent to writing things out on paper but is annoying. Will also use mechanical pencils but is the type to erase letters and rewrite them so many times that the paper starts looking gross so she doesn’t use them often.
