Start #RisingWithHope on Hoseok’s 5-Day Birthday Flash Fundraiser by Providing Black Communities Access to Mental Health Resources

Let’s shower hope and mental health support on Black communities this February!

ARMY showed interest in supporting an organization advocating for mental health. For Hoseok’s birthday, we’re #RisingWithHope by lending a helping hand to Darkness RISING, a non-profit organization offering mental health resources and support to the Black community.

About Darkness RISING

Darkness RISING is a mental health non-profit organization in the US that provides free wellness workshops for the Black community, a Black Mental Health Resource Packet and a Provider Database, inspirational cover songs, visual albums, and concerts featuring Black musicians and artists who have also experienced mental health conditions. The organization aims to spark conversations about mental health, address issues affecting the Black community, empower the community through resources, and eradicate mental health stigma.

Darkness RISING has an annual mental health event called Darkness RISING: Live, wherein the Black Broadway community performs inspirational songs for Black mental health and Black mental health providers talk on several topics regarding mental health. The organization also hosts free monthly workshops where they partner with Black mental health providers and fitness and wellness instructors for each workshop that focuses on a different wellness topic. Due to COVID-19, workshops are currently virtual. Darkness RISING envisions being an LGBTQIA- and Black-affirming safe space where people can be their true selves.

How to Contribute to the Campaign

For a minimum of $1, you can help create a safe space for black communities. Through our birthday flash fundraiser for j-hope, ARMYs worldwide can support Darkness RISING in providing direct mental health resources to the communities they serve.

We write to you today with hearts heavy with grief, carrying the pain and need that our loved ones in Gaza face every single day. We are the family of Shorouq and Mohamed, forced to leave Gaza, and now we find ourselves in Egypt, trying to stay strong. But each passing day brings greater challenges.

This bitter winter, while many gather around warmth in their homes, there are families in Gaza sleeping under tents that provide neither shelter from the rain nor protection from the cold. Children shivering in the freezing weather, families lying on bare ground with nothing but the sky as their blanket, struggling without food or any source of income to sustain them.

Time is not on our side, nor on theirs. Every day without help means another night in the cold, another unbearable hunger, and more silent tears.

We are not asking just for ourselves but for our loved ones in Gaza who are enduring unimaginable hardships. Every donation from you is a chance for warmth for a freezing child, medicine for a sick mother, or even a blanket for a family desperate for comfort.

Happy Birthday Bells Hells!

Campaign 3 started airing three years ago today, October 21st 2021. It's the first I started from the beginning, and it's been such an incredible ride full of wonderful surprises and a lot of emotion.

I got into CR about a year before that and the way it has consumed me has been unreal. Didn't expect to become a Dungeonmaster and start visiting conventions to thank the people that saved my life, but here we are.

Can't wait to see what the next ten years of CR bring.
