There are those days when it feels like winter is closing in and the wind and chill reach into your bones. Walking this morning was like that as I wrapped my scarf around my head for added warmth. Lockdown and cold weather was depressing. I needed to find a way to shift this slump of negativity and found myself reaching for an unfinished canvas. Somehow hummingbirds always lift my spirit and this one felt like warmth and sunshine. Such beautiful birds that remind us to pause and enjoy the moment as they hover in space and take in there world. This was exactly the energy I needed to invite into my day. Choosing to shift my energy and to imagine being in that space of sunshine and feeling into the connected spaces of nature that ground me when the world feels out of balance.
