I'm a dinosaur so I'm very proud that I got the video feature of my bird feeder camera to work. It's fun to watch the birds come and go. 😊

I am seeing a lot of ads for for "THE AI BIRD FEEDER" and things like that, and I would like to state that I am not using any of these birdfeeder cameras. For my photos I use a homemade setup with an action camera, and for video and streaming I use Birdsy cameras. Many of the currently available feeder cams appear to be knockoffs (makers saw products in Kickstarter that garnered a lot of attention and then proceeded to quickly produce lesser quality products and flooded the market with them). They are often pricey gadgets and not the quality they may promise to be. My opinion on this is coming from seeing posts in birding groups, as well as my own research for what is out there and promising. I can only recommend Birdsy so far because it is what I use and because I know there is a solid, authentic and diligent team behind it. My general advice would be - do some research, try to find feedback and don’t spend fortunes on bad products.
If you are a maker of a feeder cam, feel free to send me one, I will put it to the test.
Have a great Friday!

I need to make a blog post when I get time, but if you're looking to get a camera birdfeeder, and you like my videos, please consider buying a Birdfy by Netvue, and doing so with this affiliate link:
https://www.birdfy.com/?ref=AiXeLsyD13
I have been testing out the new Birdfy Feeder Pro 2, which has 2 cameras, and one with a motion-sensor that can track the birds & get nice close-up videos & still shots. I find it really fun, as it captures fantastic photos and video. I can save & share videos or photos that I like through the app, see some amazing birds, & don't have to sit & watch the feeder all day. The AI recognition sorts by bird, & the app sorts by feeder (if you have more than one, like me).

MAN i need to learn soldering properly i took computer tech for like 3 years in highschool but we learned to get rid of flux residue by going at the pcbs with a barbecue wire brush which makes every electronics nerd i know physically recoil to think about which is very funny but also. maybe i should. learn to use a solvent

I'm growing the Three Sisters and I feel so unbelievably NDN and connected to my ancestors every time I tend my garden.
WAAA ... i love that so so so much for u anon im so jealous omg... the yard/garden im working on is at my parents place where im staying so i dont get a say in it but my mom is designing it and is purposely making it like, all plants native to the area and we just had the tree cutter guy out to cut down all the invasive and sick trees so we can plant healthy native stuff in its place and it feels so fucking good to be out there in the dirt knowing that this is all good stuff
my dads doing a lot of the work bc im busy having depression in my room KJNDFS but i love helping with it when i can. the soil in illinois as well is so insanely rich it still feels so special when i dig into the dirt at all.. im used to the oklahoma dirt thats just. pathetic. red clay and post-dust bowl plains dirt. but here gets so much rain and has so much life the dirt is so richly black and wet i just want to bury my face in it....
