Edgeworth and Larry’s friendship is so funny because Edgeworth will drop everything to help Larry every time he is in trouble (which is often) but he’s relentlessly mean the entire time. And Larry in turn is like I can’t believe you’re so mean to me I thought we were Bosom Buddies and then proceeds to make his own case worse

I love how dramatic this book (Biggest Brother: The Life Of Major Dick Winters, The Man Who Led The Band of Brother) is: "Sink had plucked Nixon away from Winters to be his regimental S2".

PLUCKED Nix away from Dick? Sink, mate, what were you thinking!? Really, after all this time, he really should have known better, but what really tickles me is the wording.

But yeah, Sink - there's no Nix without Dick and no Dick without Nix, so no Sink, no plucking!

And not long after the plucking Sink of course discovered that Nix just couldn't stop drinking and drinking and drinking and never get any work done...so Dick was able to 'RECLAIM THE MAN HE WANTED MOST' Brilliant.

And then Sink demonstrates his acute observations skills, by saying that, "Hell, every time I need him he’s always here with you anyway. He may as well stay." You knew all that, you still went and plucked him? What an incredibly shortsighted move. Amazing the war was won with such inept officers in charge. No wonder Dick was constantly annoyed, angry and losing his patience.

i had not seen the louis rehab comments and i’m so thankful because if just reading about it like this pisses me off…..

also. what the hell does a pen from an expensive hotel in switzerland have to do with rehab?? for gods sake… the leaps and bounds required for these people to draw conclusions like this are just completely unfathomable for anyone normal (or anyone that isn’t a harrie - openly or otherwise).
