Surely the whole being descended from Lilith couldn't be known by purgatory hall residents??? Because it's very much canon that Simeon is reporting to Michael/Celestial Realm about the goings on in the Devildom. And finding out that hey, Lilith actually lived, courtesy of the prince of the Devildom... I mean we don't know exactly how fraught devildom and celestial relations are but that seems like something that would have Big Consequences.

Celestial Realm just doesn't give me vibes of hearing that and going Well What's Done Is Done, Forgive Forget. The Lilith thing fully seems like something you want the least amount of people knowing, especially when the end goal is to try and negotiate peace between Devildom and Celestial yknow?

Yeah, I completely agree with this. I think one of the main reasons Diavolo banned Lucifer from seeing her as a human and Lucifer decided not to tell his brothers for so long was to keep it as quiet as possible.

Not to mention, in S3 it's revealed that Luke and probably all the newer angels don't know the reason behind the brothers' rebellion or even that Lilith existed. He also says that as remembrance of the 7 brothers there are 7 stars in the Celestial Realm known as the "Seven Brothers". Except that very same season confirms that Satan had (obviously) never stepped foot in the Celestial Realm and despite his existence within Lucifer being formed even before Asmo was created, no one knew about him. Meaning the "seven brothers" constellation is Bullshit, and the seventh star probably represents Lilith. The fact that they're trying to pass it off as Satan though means, that the Celestial Realm is actively trying to hide the existence of Lilith and that the Rebellion was kickstarted because they wanted to execute (?) an angel for constantly sneaking off into the human world and eventually healing a dying human.

So yeah, after everything I don't think they'd be happy about the whole Lilith situation. I mean, if he could change things I don't think Michael would have wanted Lilith executed (?) in the first place for what she did because I do think he loved her the same way he loved the brothers. I think at the time, Michael was - in his mind - making a "hard decision" and choosing the secrecy and lives of the entire Celestial Realm over the life of one angel who was willing to potentially endanger them all for a human. This fits with how the angels seem to see themselves as being extremely righteous while actually being extremely morally grey (see the Devilgram where Lucifer & Diavolo first meet).

Luke also said that Michael still loved and missed the brothers and probably wanted them back. Except Michael within the main story still refers to angels as being "evil & wicked" despite that not being true. Except Luke who looks up so much to Michael sees them in a similar way because even when the two realms are at "peace" that's what Luke was raised to believe. Except in that angel event Michael sent them bracelets to turn them into angels but instead of becoming what they were really like back in the Celestial Realm they turned into these Perfect Angels™. Which was something that even Solomon, who has done some pretty shady & questionable things (getting Asmo drunk so that he could make a pact with him, nearly killing himself in order to summon Barbatos, seeing all his 72 pact demons as pawns and playthings) also finds it disturbing and cruel.

What I was trying to get at is that, though I think it's best for the relations between the Devildom & Celestial Realm that Lilith being reincarnated as a human never got back to the Celestial Realm, I also think that given what he knows now and given the chance, Michael would have done anything to have the 6 brothers and Lilith back in the Celestial Realm but as Perfect Angels™, who didn't use the Celestial Realm's armies as their own personal chess set or sneak out to go fuck humans.

All that being said, while I do think Simeon doesn't know about the Lilith-MC connection I think if it comes down to it, he might choose MC and the brothers over the Celestial Realm? Here me out?

1.) Something happened during the Rebellion that got Simeon demoted from a Seraphim (the highest ranking of angels) to an archangel (A warrior class angel and according to Simeon one of lowest rankings)

2.) Simeon's greatest fear is someone in the Celestial Realm, given that it's shown as a bright light. It could be God but in OM! Michael is always shown as a bright light when he speaks with MC, so it could more possibly be Michael.

3.) Simeon has already lied and gone against Michael for MC and the brothers - when he stole Lucifer's ring from Michael's Lucifer Shrine in S2.

hey look i finished those ocs! i might still add more to the roster, and i still need to draw Montgomery's unicorn and Lillith's dragon, but for now here they are!

I'm gonna ramble about them and the process of making them under the cut, and at the end of it I'll be putting the individual designs so you can see them better :)

ok so for one, theres a lot of red and purple? I didn't actually mean to do that, but it looks kinda nice, so i'm not complaining?? but idk! its just funny that one of the two colors can be found in every design if not both. kinda ties them together tho? idk im vibing w/ it i think

uh, anyway, the names! @danzoid07 helped with them a lot, but i did switch around a couple. at first Montgomery and Mortimer's names were switched but i changed 'em because ''Morty'' sounds more like... sleazy?? that isnt the right word but Montgomery came from Ricky Montgomery and his music is very NOT the energy i wanted the salesman to give off. (its not really what i wanted the wizard to give off either- more atlas or laurence than anyone, but Morty sounded closer to the salesman then the wizard.)

speaking of atlas, originally their name was Kelton- which whent to Kelly- and i really liked that but later i found the name Atlas in a tiktok and thought it fit better

character wise, i have some plans for like, back story and stuff? what i know right now is that Lillith and Laurence were a prince and princess of neighboring kingdoms and were meant to be wed to join the two kingdoms, yknow the drill, but they were childhood best friends and both of them are very gay plus Lillith really wanted to be a knight (which she'd been training for in secret for like. most of her life?) but yeah! so the two ran away together :) the other version of their story would've been just about the same except Lillith would've been like, a guard or something, who was supposed to protect Laurence's room and they just ended up being friends or something, but i think i like the other one better idk

Morty and Monty are twins, Morty is a traveling salesman who has a big cart and probably over prices things at least a little bit, he can be an asshole sometimes but yknow, not totally malicious, first example being Erica :) shes an assassin or hitman or something like that, with robin hood vibes who kills off like, shitty people- usually like abusers or otherwise shitty people but yeah Monty became kind of her... home base? in a way? idk if its necessarily like a dad or an uncle or whatever else, but some kinda of similar role idk but they have matching coats :)

uhhh and then Montgomery! hes a wizard, grumpy ass old mans who doesn't much like people :) hes the type who will act like an ass to those around him but will cry at any show of affection from those he cares about, etc. think Stanley from Gravity Falls? something like that. he has a unicorn! his unicorn's name is Quincy, and i dont know much about them yet but originally they were supposed to be the one that Lillith and Laurence ran away on, but then i switched it so Lillith could get a baby dragon (which has not been named yet lol)

anyway i'm gonna finish it all off with talking abt Atlas and Laurence and then Lillith and Erica because of course. so Atlas is the vagabond of course and i think he found Lillith and Laurence first while they were in a little bit of trouble and he took the two and gave them a place to stay (probably at Monty's? i assume they're friends) but anyway point is Atlas and Laurence are pining, 100%, and they're both so shy about it and i love them. Lillith and Erica when they met i think they kind of had a rivalry? i mean, a hitman and a knight, they'd totally butt heads, until of course they had some kind of heart to heart and found common ground in wants to help and protect people, and all that, and then they're pining too, except Erica is probably got enough of a fuckin head on her shoulders that she'd just say fuck it so they could stop dancing around eachother lmao

Willex rw&rb au!!! So I actually first got inspired for this au by @a-chaotic-ananas (at least I’m like 99% sure) and this post by @sunsetscurving and I just saw it once and it lived rent free in my head forever

I haven’t written or planned it at all but it lives in my fic prompts list rent free and I can never pass up the chance to scream about it so here’s what I’ve got in my head:

I actually had a really hard time thinking of which of them would be Henry and which would be Alex? Bc like you said Alex gives me big Henry vibes yknow just their personality, the anxiety, family issues, all that but on the other hand I could totally see Alex as, well, Alex (Claremont-Diaz) for several reasons like Alex really gives me the “I want to be a politician to change things and work for equality” vibes and just Alex’s (C-D) law school, anxiety-writing essays at 2am, shit sleep schedule, chaotic sibling relationships, etc just are so Alex for me

And then willie gives me Henry vibes bc he’s more of the “I do not wanna be a politician/ruler I just wanna be gay and chill” Henry vibes yknow? Like I could totally see him saying hell no to all of that like Henry and also the whole depressing family vibes fit Willie to me for some reason. There’s not a lot here oop but Alex gives me Alex energy more than Willie gives me Alex energy so yeah

And since Alex is Alex I wanted him to have a weirdish family dynamic and even tho we’ve never met Alex’s parent I just. I don’t like them. So Alex is the first son of the president or whatever it’s just that he was adopted by the Molinas bc his parents kicked him out when he was like 15 and came out to them and Julie and Alex were childhood best friends so the Molinas were like nope and just adopted him

I haven’t decided if that meant Ray or Rose would be the president bc on one hand Ray would be a vibe and easier for me to write but on the other hand Rose being president would be iconic yknow and she could have the vibes

So then Julie is June and Carlos is just an extra character bc I love him

Reggie is Nora bc smart!reggie supremacy I said what I said and bc they have the same genius but also chaos bisexual energy and I just love the idea of Julie, Reggie, and Alex being little shits together

And Luke takes the place of willies best friend bc the chaotic adhds gotta stick together of course and I just think willie and Luke would be great friends and also this gives the whole possibility of a lil bit of Julie and Willie kinda pretending to be together like June and Henry do but with the added bonus of juke and willex angst bc that’s the wrong person!!!

Sorry just the idea of Rose with Ellen energy is amazing like just imagine Rose making the whole “why dating the prince of England is a TERRIBLE idea, Alex” powerpoint. The pure chaotic energy you could get—

i've never listened to Friends At The Table (though it's on my list now, dnd campaigns podcast wooo!) what would the storyline of the crossover entail? with the HermitCraft characters i'm guessing it's chaotic and interesting 😊

:0!!!! :DDD!!!!!!! if u end up giving it a shot i hope u enjoy it! they dont actually play dnd, they play a bunch of other tabletop games which are all really neat also! (also if u need a suggestion for where to start if/when u get to it, feel free to drop me an ask)

the story follows the typical structure of "group is sent off to do tasks for money, and eventually realise something bigger is going on" so i am largely following the plot in that way, where groups of adventurers are sent out to investigate a series of towers that appear to have some connection to the gods of the world. ajhsjjejhfhjef most of my thoughts about the au are more character based,, so instead of a proper plot summary i can give details and thoughts on where some of the hermits fit into everything so far (while. trying to avoid the big twists revealed in the podcast ig,,?) i also ended up including some sleepybees (sbi + beeduo) in the au but im still not 100% sure on where they fit in (as in i have too many ideas djhdkndnj)

ANYWAY uhhhh some spoilers for the universe im basing this off of, under the cut cos it got long :'D

context/setting:

the specific arc/universe that this au is set in is the one from Seasons in Hieron (SiH) which is their fantasy season! (its. its long,, this arc spans i think. 3 seasons? plus a short interlude season)

the setting was previously a traditional fantasy world that had some sort of great catastrophe (the Erasure) happen, and the current world is after people have rebuilt a new society! its described as "post-fantasy, post-post-apocalyptic" its very fun and subversive and afhdjfbj the worldbuilding is just. real good :>

characters:

im still figuring out where different hermits fit into the au but i am basically taking aspects of various characters from the podcast and splitting roles and traits to hermits, so its all mixed up! also,, there are just. so many hermits,, i have not found places for all of them (not even most of them i dont think) but here is what i have so far:

impulse and zedaph work in the New Archives (a series of huge warehouse-like archives run by the orcs of this world!) impulse is an orc, zed is not! impulse works to retrieve artifacts for the archive, and zed,, hes just kinda there. learning and experimenting with pattern magic (a type of magic done by arranging and rearranging things in specific configurations, often they are obscure and weird things like "27 brown birds in a tree, 5 table legs, 500 buttons, 16 steps to the east" etc.) when the story finds them they are studying a fallen tower in the center of the Mark of the Erasure (a location still showing the effect of the great cataclysm that befell the world)

tango vaguely takes the role of Ephraim, prince of something or rather,,, idk man hes cool and has fire powers, very anime. his powers were a gift from the gods, and he goes on to hv close relations w them! he meets up with impulse and zed later on and become fast friends obviously

joe is an expert in pattern magic, and is on the run from the archives after having stolen a pretty nondescript notebook. its a nice notebook! hes just a human guy. he writes and recites poetry in order to do pattern magic using the notebook!

cleo hails from the city of *Nacre*, where people get multiple chances at life. people from there can get killed but will exist on as zombies, then if they are killed again, they exist as ghosts, and then they pass away fully. she is an undead pirate captain that joe somehow manages to sway over to their side ahjbhfbjf,, she is hunting down the lost prince/king of Nacre.

wels is a pala-din (pal-ah-deen, rather than paladin), a sort of living marble statue that serves one of the gods in the pantheon.

scar is ofc, a wizard! it. it should be noted that wizards dont really exist in this world, people who perform and study magic are mages, not wizards,, "wizard" is kind of a weird term to use sjbdbjhfjjhb scar takes place of The Great Fantasmo in the podcast, and similarly has an invisible assistant! he doesnt seem to remember much of his past...

cubfan works in Velas, a fishing town where the story "begins" he does not enjoy talking to scar, and seems to be sad whenever hes around. perhaps scar reminds him of someone, or perhaps of better times...

tfc hes a priest aagsuijdjhkdgjdkihwhjvd i swear theres a reason for this later,, the role of the npc alyosha is somewhat split between tfc and cub!

others i have thoughts on but im not settled on yet:

im debating having xisuma as part of the pantheon, but if not, he would be a druid so he can shapeshift into animals sjbakjnsnfjb he would take the general role of Fero in the story, but would also be kind of split with evil x, who captures... a certain stubbornness and deepset frustration Fero has in later times.

etho could take the place of Samol, the first god to exist. he is the embodiment of this world, and is kind of isolated and strange wbhshjhbdbhjdjbdkjn,, strange /pos. hes also. kind of dissapearing though... i wonder why :)

while theoratically i could have xisuma as samol cos. yknow. admin. i think the vibes and role just fit etho better

and... if i had etho as samol i think it could be fun to have doc and bdubs as other members of the pantheon, if u go with their dynamic from the start of s7 they even fit the divorced couple vibe two of the gods have /lh /hj (nho pantheon pog..? maybe. theres a total of 5 deities in the pantheon tho...)

im leaning toward either false + stress or maybe gem + pearl pairs for two of the goddesses in the pantheon, but thatd probably depend on if i can find a better place for them ;P

techno and phil take the role of red jack, and techno is a Huge Oni Dude >:] in canon red jack has a cool horse!!! it fits!! hes also. heavily implied to be kinda immortal?? anyway. im torn on this because techno and phil ALSO fit the roles of some of the player characters, with relation to the missing prince/king of Nacre but im still working things out,,

no matter whats up with them, ranboo takes the role of bluejay, redjacks son, meeting up with tubbo and tommy who take the place of benjamin, the son of one of the player characters. tubbo and tommy kind of. get sent to another dimension to keep them safe,,? and live in a lie for many years before they are brought back.

when i first thought about this au, i also thought about the whole. sending child off into fake dimension to live life, and of course. i thought about. grumbot ofc and originally planned to have mumbo or grian take the place of that player character abhdfvnbrvbn but it also implies one or both of them would be paladins (not pala-din! just the normal religious knight) AND have connections to tubbo and tommy which is. funny but ehhhh idk.

so on saturday roman became upset by something, and usually he can cope. but the thing is, in the last few weeks he has been repressing his littlespace A LOT because he felt like he just got his adult life back, and he throws himself 100% into things

he threw himself into littlespace at first and now he threw himself into adult life and ignored his age dreaming. even when he wanted to he forced himself to keep being grownup - or in his teen headspace if he needed to get out frustration

but this time he couldnt actually help it, he accidentally started feeling really little to cope with his negative emotions. it wasnt even that bad what happened, but its the stick that broke the camels back yknow - basically he had to feed vee at snacktime and she got messy and roman complained she was gross then ppl on the blog called him mean for saying it

so roman was suddenly little, and went to sit with his family bc he didnt want to be alone but he still hid being little. he just stayed silent, even while internally he just kept thinking i want daddy i want my daddy i wanna be held i want mommy to say its all okay

then vee fell asleep in mamas lap and logan took her up to bed, and when he returned to the living room with patton and roman he jokingly asked "so i take it snacktime went well going by the applesauce all over her clothes?"

and romans face immediately crumpled and he started crying

it was so sudden and unexpected and out of character, the caregivers were frozen for a moment as roman desperately hid his face in his hands and folded into himself on the couch

when roman cries its very quiet too, so even though he was close to sobbing he bit his lip hard so he didnt make a sound and was just sniffling and tiny whimpers kept escaping

the caregivers hearts broke a little

logan immediately crouched in front of ro asking "roman what happened? why are you upset sweetheart?"

meanwhile patton jumped up from his chair and quickly scooched over on the couch to be right next to ro and put an arm around him "honey, can you tell us what you need?"

and at that roman just whimpered "daddy" in his super little voice, strained from holding back his cries

"oh little prince" patton cooed sounding heartbroken, he wiggled his free arm under romans legs and shuffled him into his lap in seconds. "shh, it's okay, daddys got you baby"

roman tensed and logan gave patton a stern look at the nickname slip, and patton hurriedly apologized - its just natural for him to use that word

usually roman is a tad insecure about the fact that hes taller than patton when hes in psttons lap bc hes worried it looks weird, but he didnt have the energy to worry this time and just lets his daddy cradle his head to his shoulder and rock him as romans cries got harder to hold back. it felt such a relief to finally be little and let his daddy take care of him, but it was v overwhelming since it was basically involuntary

logan swiftly joined them on the couch, pressing himself right up against patton and rubbing his hand firmly over romans back and shushing him gently and reassuring "good boy. it's okay, let it out. its okay to cry little one" because he knows how embarrassed roman gets about crying, especially when little

but then roman choked through his tears "n-not sposed to be - be l-little!" then sniffled and whimperd again and buried a sob in pattons shoukder

and logan calmly managed to coax him to talk about why, in the same way he coaxed vee into evaluating why she thought diapers werent for her in labd. lots of gentle prodding into why roman answers the way he does, why is he supposed to be big, why is being little bad

patton knew to stay quiet during this process, just squeezing roman to encourage him to answer, and kissing his wet cheek when he says something that makes pattons heart ache

then eventually logan got roman to admit that hes been forcing himself to be bigger because he thought he should be big to not bother the caregivers and to help look after vee and so he is "more of a real grownup" when hes with his friends

the thing is once you manage to break into that well of emotion that romans been repressing, he cant stop it from flowing. so once they reached that conclusion roman just kepts rambling (all while little and stumbling over his words)

"i i been tryna be a big big boy and big brother for vee vee cos shes a baby and needs a big brother... b-but i dont wanna be that big all the time, its too big, i wanna be a little big brother again. too much big"

then patton sighed "oh sweetheart, we know youve been much more grownup recently but we thought it's because you wanted to be big"

" i do!" roman argued loudly, more tears building "b-but little too a-and... and i dunno" he finished in a sob, and patton quickly pulled him closer to his chest and rocked him

logan realised roman is too little to have such a complex discussion about tricky emotions, so he promised that the following day they would all have a big grownup talk about how to help roman find a better balance.

"but for tonight" logan whispered, leaning down and kissing romans head and cupping his jaw gently and looking at him gently "mommy and daddy are going to take care of our sweet little prince. how does that sound, little one?"

romans lip wobbled and he nodded and launched himself into mommy lap to give him a tight hug

so that night logan and patton gave their full attention to taking care of roman and helping him be extra little - they watched disney movies and held their little prince and encouraged his headspace, singing along to the songs and poking roman playfully to get him to giggle and sing along too but much quieter than usual.

patton even reminded roman when to go use the potty, not because roman would ever have an accident but because its another way of showing roman that daddy is taking care of him and to reinforce that younger headspace that ro so clearly needed that night

they were all squished onto the one couch - its big enough for them to spread out but logan and patton sat shoulder to shoulder, with roman laid across pattons lap and his head on logans shoulder. with daddy letting roman play with his fingers as a fidget and logan scritching his nails gently at the base of romans neck which makes him sleepy

and every once in a while, logan would lean down and kiss romans temple so gentle, seemingly randomly but actually its that logan kept thinking about how little he knows about romans mental state recently. and whenever he thought "god i wish i knew what was going on in his head", he would lean down and kiss it in the hopes it plants the thought in romans mind that his parents love him

roman was actually very low energy - usually his littlespace is defined by playfulness and loudness and running and jumping and dancing, but on that specific night he was very quiet, very sleepy, and very very cuddly. he really just needed to feel protected because it was such a vulnerable state for him, being involuntarily little, so just letting his caregivers take full control and take care of him and look after him was exactly what he needed

he would never ever say this to anyone and the caregivers agreed to not tell vee or anyone else, but i think they actually had snacks at one point and roman was just so muted and sleepy and clingy that he didnt wanna let go of daddys hand to get some popcorn even though when patton asked roman admitted he was hungry... so logan offered to feed him, and roman very shyly accepted and let logan put lil pieces of popcorn in his mouth

he thought it was embarrassing, but it actually gave him more energy both because popcorn is yummy and because he found it fun and got kindve giggly - to which patton of course told him he was adorable

after the first movie though vee actually woke up from her nap regressed and the caregivers took it in turns looking after her while the other stayed and cuddled roman extra tight

but soon vee was put in bed for good for the night - roman actually got a little upset again because he assumed since mommy was putting the baby to bed, that meant it was romans bedtime too and he would have to be all alone in his room.

but then logan returned to the living room with the baby monitor in hand and immediately asked "so what movie next, sweetheart?"

bedtime be damned, the caregivers stayed up watching disney films with their little one until he fell asleep snuggled in his mommys lap

just imagine those really gentle vibes when you fall asleep on the couch as a kid and your parent gently wakes you up and leads you up to bed. Exactly like that, patton very gently woke roman up once the credits were rolling like an hour after roman dropped off to sleep

"mmh... daddy.. wha?" roman mumbled sleepily

and patton smiled, happy that roman was still letting himself be little. and of course in that moment he decided there was no way roman was going to sleep alone that night.

"c'mon honey, up up"

roman whined as logan helped push him off his lap and stand up

"i know sweetie. but you can sleep in my bed tonight, isn't that exciting?"

as soon as roman heard that it gave him more motivation to let his daddy hold his hand and carefully lead him upstairs to pattons room while roman is just blinking sleepily and letting his cg take full control and take care of him

logan helps to set up romans njghtlight in pattons room while patton helps roman brush his teeth, and then gives roman one last hug and big soft kiss on his head. "we can talk about it when youre big, but i promise you can be little for as long as you want, ok?"

roman sighed sleepily "ok mommy"

"good night little one, i love you" another forehead kiss

"love you mommy"

and then logan went off to his own bed while patton got him and roman settled in his bed for the night. logan honestly knew he wasnt the best person to take care of roman overnight because he really isnt a cuddly sleeper but roman really is, so he trusted pstton to be the primary caregiver and cuddle roman in bed

meanwhile logan kept vees baby monitor in his room which isnt how it usually goes. usually its in patton room bc patton is a light sleeper and likes to be the one to take care of his baby if she wakes up in the night, but logan took on that job for that night so that patton could focus fully on roman

the next day roman was still little but in the playful bouncy way again almost instantly! then when he grew up later in the day the three of them had a serious talk about how to help roman feel better about his littlespace/grownup life balance

logan broke it down into exact hours for roman - they realised that there was 20-25 hours every week where roman had to be grownup for various commitments and responsibilitiea. and the other 148 hours? (ish bc i cant remember the maths lol) logan and patton assured roman he could be little for all of those other hours if he really wanted to be and they would be completely okay with it

and seeing it broken down into numbers and basic stuff really helped roman , he is still going to struggle a little with letting himself be extra little when he needs it, and itll be tricky for him to find a good balance of little vs big because he gets so invested in one headspace so easily, but its backed up by those numbers and by the knowledge that his caregivers really do love to take care of him

Today we are called upon to celebrate the 22nd year of prince Na Jaemin.

"Okay, everything's fine. You just need to give a small speech thanking everyone and then the party will start and then you can make more small talk with people from Petramus and Aellan and-- HAAAAA, how am I gonna do this?!" Jaemin grips the vanity table, staring at himself. God he looks like a mess. Not physically, absolutely not. They made sure to fluff his hair just enough to suit Soladium royalty, a kind of effortless carefree look that makes him look like he just rolled out of bed and looked that good. There's some light sparkling around his eyes, a symbol of sun rays. A bit on the nose if you asked him but of course it's somewhat of a given, when you're a prince of a solar kingdom.

Somewhere else, in Starfall Hollow's main ballroom, are the masses of guests Jaemin will have to somehow navigate. It's not something he hasn't done, but that was in the limits of his own realm, with mostly citizens of his own kingdom and a few honored foreign guests. In Starfall Hollow, the scale is much bigger. Of course it is, with how many realms have chosen to join the summit this year. And somehow his birthday just had to fall in the middle of it.

Sighing, Jaemin leans forward to the point where he's almost touching the mirror with his forehead. He doesn't, since it'd smudge the mirror and he's not trying to be mean to the cleaning staff. Servants? It's confusing since there's both old and new blending together here.

"Jaem?" Even without looking, Jaemin definitely knows who that voice belongs to. But still he turns with a smile tugging involuntarily on his lips. "Jaem it's almost time."

"Yeah, yeah okay." Jaemin clears his throat and smooths out his fancy coat, finishing with a light tug to his shirt. He grins and bows slightly, eyes never leaving Jeno's. "How do I look? Like a prince?" There's no point in hiding anything from Jeno, and yet Jaemin still hopes that he doesn't sound as nervous as he feels.

Jeno, to his credit, just scoffs and strides forward until he's less than an arm's length away from his best friend. "Sure, and I look like Yoo Jaesuk. C'mon Jaem, chin up, shoulders back, puff our your chest a little." Jeno's hands come up and push Jaemin's shoulders back just as he says, and by force of habit Jaemin's head comes up. He and Jeno have been similar heights for a long time, though there was that period when Jaemin shot up like a tree and Jeno was a little stockier. They're still kind of like that, even if Jaemin is only 0.2cm taller. He snickers at the thought and Jeno narrows his eyes at that. "Shut up, I know what you're thinking." The older boy snorts again, hands now coming over to straighten out Jaemin's collar. "Jeez, twenty two years and you still mess up your collar every time."

"But of course! Why else do I keep you around," Jaemin quips back. The look Jeno levels him with would be nothing short of lethal, if not for the fondness in his eyes. Jeno has always done this for him, has always been able to get Jaemin to relax with just a short conversation. Maybe it's the atmosphere of the day, where they're going to be celebrating Prince Na Jaemin of Soladium, but Jaemin suddenly finds that he wishes he could just spend the day with Jeno, running around like they're kids, without responsibility. But well, that's just something you give up as you get older he supposes. Really, he should probably just be grateful that they're not pushing for him to get married already or something.

"Jaem." He blinks and tilts his head. Jeno's holding a small box, about the width of his palm. It's wrapped up in blue paper and a silver ribbon, tied into a pretty bow. "I wanted to give this to you before but the noona doing your hair chased me out saying I'd mess up her energy or something."

Jaemin snickers, hand extended to receive the gift. “It’s those bad vibes yknow.” Jeno just rolls his eyes though he laughs right along anyways as he drops the box into Jaemin’s hand.

They’ve known each other for so long that they don’t always need to say please, thank you, you’re welcome. But still after Jaemin unties the ribbon and tears the paper off, unboxing a beautiful delicate gold chain necklace with a sun charm (of which Jeno has the matching silver moon likely tucked under his shirt), he says “Thank you Jeno-yah.” Jeno of course is about to shrug it off, or say it’s not a big deal but it is. It’s a big deal. It’s not just Jaemin’s 22nd birthday, not just because he’s a prince, but because it’s his 22nd year with Jeno. Jaemin has been blessed with twenty two years with his best friend. He can’t imagine what means more than that, especially in moments like this.

Jeno, like always, always, picks up on what he doesn’t say and instead ruffles Jaemin’s hair with a laugh and takes the necklace from his hand. “I’ll help you put it on.”

Jaemin pout, shaking his hair out. “Jeez, these are the bad vibes noona was talking about!” Jeno just laughs and ruffles Jaemin’s hair again after he clasps the necklace.

“Don’t worry Jaem, you’ll still have your man swooning after you anyways.” Jeno checks his own appearance in the mirror, brushing his bangs to the side while Jaemin sputters, red creeping up his neck. A knock at the door interrupts them both.

“Your highnesses, it’s time.”

The nerves come back full force, almost choking him with how they crowd his throat. He’s really going to have to represent Soladium properly, he can’t do anything to mess up their reputation, but what if he does mess up? What if he says the wrong thing or makes a gesture that isn’t correct or—

“C’mon Jaemin.” And again, like always, it’s Jeno’s voice breaking him out of his thoughts. He’s at the door, eyes crinkled in a proud smile, hand extended out to help Jaemin like he always does. “You’re gonna be great.”

Well, if Jeno believes it then Jaemin does too.

okay first thought when given free reign of a story is PRINCE or ROYAL bc that is where my mind is for every story i love a good castle moment

but yknow i was thinking about bards and also my skyrim game and how annoying yet precious the bards are in the inn. and if that is not taeil i will eat my own foot,,,,, like omg i forgot his name i think it’s mikael?? he’s at the inn in riften!!! i beat him up to preserve the honor of some lady and now we’re best friends ^_^ anyways he’s lovable and it makes me think of taeil

i miss taeil i read a post about how precious he is and it made me feel some type of way ,,,,, my favorite taeil era was cherry bomb bc the CHOKER and the EYELINER and he just felt like the embodiment of that tiktok sparkly filter

okay now that that’s over

this story is set in a lone kingdom called intima,,,, intima is a word meaning the heart of something and it’s where the word intimacy comes from and it makes me feel warm and happy so i assume it will make the people of intima happy too !!!!! it’s an island centered around the sun — and YOU my dear reader are the eldest princess, the first before six younger siblings !!!

as the oldest, the throne is in your future, and you are set to be the reigning queen WHICH you are quite excited about this isn’t one of those aus where you hate your kingdom and your job and serving,, you LOVE your people and your culture and you genuinely can’t wait to become queen

i’m going to set the world!!!! bc world-building gives me endorphins >.>

intima is a HEAVILY floral-filled island. the clivia (or bush lily) is the capitol flower, often associated with patriotism or pride for intima as an island!!! it’s the flower people pin to their chest during coronations or royal festivals!! and the yellow/orange/coral shades are often what you and your siblings wear to represent yourselves and your island.

intima is a land of equality!!! bc i said so!! and also because the culture is purely built on gratitude and kindness ,,,,, i like to think the spirituality or “religion” in the culture is the worship of the sun and the warmth it brings,,,, a sort of serving the thing that shines a path for the hopeless!!!! there are hundreds of poems and legends and songs about the sun and who she once was and why she blesses intima with her harvests and all kinds of other things and i do have the time to get into it but i know all of you do not

intima also believes that art is hard work!!! and it’s one of the most respected jobs there are!!! like a busker or a street painter are often praised and it’s expected of islanders to tip them and stay to praise them a bit!!! and usually they’ll sell their art (if that’s what they made) afterwards!!!! and poets will read for the children and adults alike and they’ll sell their services to like,,, people who struggle to put their words down on paper and it’s all very helpful and lovely

farmers and fishermen are well respected as well!!!! ofc they bring the food in and the vendors at the marketplace sell them while the artists keep entertainment going. it’s a lovely system and often as the seasons change people will shift their jobs so a vendor will decide to create for a season or a fisherman may decide he wants to sell wares,,, it’s a system so that people can enjoy where they are as well as express they’re creativity properly

and the wealth is distributed equally so that no one goes hungry!!! everyone helps each other out to find a job that fits them!!! and not many people take advantage of the system because it’s quite shameful to refuse helping your fellow neighbor

so yes!!! kindness and helping each other out is not only expected but it is often an indicator of how respected you are as a member of society

ungrateful people get the shame cone >:(

the island is HUGE and set in a sort of jagged star shape, with villages and markets surrounding the castle itself!!! and there’s a moat surrounding the castle made from the streams that trail in from the sea ,,,, and the harbors are quite beautiful if you stand atop the castle walls you can see the ships come and go and it is just *chef’s kiss* immaculate

and the moat is so beautiful i can just imagine the ferns!! like palm brush ferns and tiger lilies and birds of paradise just lining either side of the moat,,, so pretty :( and the moat isn’t to keep people out!!! it’s actually a natural pool for the villagers when it gets too hot :)!! but otherwise the drawbridge is always down so people can come and go throughout the courtyards

similarly, the castle walls run down the island as main roads, leading to the actual castle where the main courtyard sits.

you and your siblings are very personal with your subjects, and it’s not uncommon for the princes and princesses to walk hand in hand with those of a lower class than them,,,, esp bc there isn’t really a class system in place. since wealth is evenly distributed,,,, it’s evenly distributed to the royals as well, and everyone lives comfortably. the only added expense are gifts!!! so if there’s a birthday or something more wealth might be offered to the recipients by default

the courtyards!!! are so beautiful!!! there are four in total but the one i want to focus on is the coronation courtyard!!! this is the courtyard where the coronations and celebrations are held!!!

but when there aren’t any coronations, it’s where people hang out to have picnics or sell their wares or tell stories!!!

and this is where we see taeil!!!!

every day our hero brings his life and ~sings~ a different story to whoever happens to be walking by. he’s actually hugely popular with many of intima’s people,,,, mostly because his voice is like HONEY and his smile reminds everyone of home

he has like,,,,, kind big brother who only comes home for thanksgiving but each time is more memory-filled than the last energy ,,,,, anyways

you don’t actually notice him at first!!! because usually he isn’t in the coronation courtyard.

also there are a lot of people who write songs about you and your siblings that’s just how the vibes are !!!!!

you and your siblings are known for your beauty and kindness, so many creatives often use y’all as muses

so you just brush it off

and go back to your planning

which actually consists of you begging your advisors to make little goodie bags for everyone on the entire island (they WILL eventually agree because who doesn’t want a small bee charm necklace or some cleansing crystals)

but i digress

it’s not until you visit the courtyard to finalize the seating arrangements that you actually see the man your brother was talking about

at first you don’t even realize it’s the same person

sure, this man is short, but he is nothing like the unattractie picture you painted in your mind. not that short men are unattractive, but most men who hit on you are often uhhhh creepy and old bc intima is a beautiful place but men are still a disease

this man is, dare you say it, handsome.

his hair is a warm chestnut that falls over his eyebrows in loose curls. strands curl and bend around his ears and his eyes are lined with what seems like kohl

his lips are pursed, and he’s too far away for you to hear him, but he seems to be singing

you tear your eyes away from his coral-colored jerkin and try to focus on the seating arrangements

in the end, you leave the work to your advisors, choosing to break away and listen to the lonesome bard

and just IMAGINE for a moment taeil singing like real people do by hozier

okay so imagine him singing real people do or sunshine and it’s so gentle and warm coming from his mouth that you’re entranced at the very start of it,,,, you’ve heard tales of sirens luring sailors into the sea,,, and they’ve always sounded quite far fetched but now that you’re hearing taeil’s voice you’re like,,,,,, maybe it’s possible

you sidle up to another listener and ask for his name

“taeil moon”

it’s a befitting name. you run it over your tongue for a good while until it feels familiar,,, and when the song is finally over, you clap and shout a few praises, thinking your voice would get caught in the crowd

but taeil catches your gaze, and he strums a sour note on his lute. it’s a swift apology and an even swifter exit as he leaves the courtyard.

you watch him go, unsure as to why he seemed so uncomfortable knowing you were there. “is he alright?” you ask the same listener who told you taeil’s name. they answer, “he’s never left a set before. perhaps you frightened him, princess.”

you DID frighten him. moving into taeil’s point of view, the man has been declaring his infatuation with you for months now and you’ve never come to listen. he suddenly feels naked and vulnerable,,, the one person he chose to write songs about is the future queen and he could very well be executed for such unauthorized poetry

(as if executing is something intima didn’t outlaw ages ago)

so taeil is just a tiny bit dramatic, and he clings to the honest hope that you came to his show late and didn’t hear his declaration. his “all my love songs of now and forever after are for the princess y/n” that he starts every set with. he feels like a fool, so he finds himself hiding in the royal gardens, far behind the brush and hedges, where a lone forgotten fountain rusts. still water bubbles out of the spout, but there isn’t enough for the fountain to actually flow, so it just makes an incredibly awkward gurgling sound as taeil strums his lute and tries to collect his thoughts

taeil doesn’t just like you because you’re the princess. it goes so much deeper than that; he has one faint memory of his graduation out of bards college (it’s a thing in skyrim so it’s a thing in my au) and it consists of you meeting with all of the graduates and giving them each a bush lily from your own personal garden,,,,,,, you also wrote everyone a handwritten letter addressing them by name !!!!!!!!!

and it’s not much to go by at all, and taeil would feel incredibly foolish even bringing up the memory, or the fact that he keeps the card in his memeriy box,,,,, because it’s obvious that you don’t remember him from it, but he can still remember the color of your eyes up close, and he knows what it feels like to be on the receiving end of your smile,, and just the memory of your fingers grazing his when you handed him the flower and card makes his cheeks warm with childlike fondness

he’s a fool, he knows. he’s also a coward, because he ran at the very sight of you

“you ran off before i could tell you how lovely your voice is.”

taeil falls into the rusting fountain as soon as you round the hedge. he has no idea how you managed to find him, but he can’t really think much about it because he’s soon coughing and shivering from the cold and dirty water he’s just fallen into. he mourns his lute,,,,,, just floating in the shallow water ,,,,,, it’s not dead it’s just wet :/

“oh dear i’m so sorry!” you grab his hand and help him out of the fountain, wincing at the way his clothes cling to his body. (Wait. wait. taeil’s lil baby tummy.... through the sheer shirt,,,,,,, like after he takes off his jerkin to dry it out :(((( omg he’s so cute) “i just wanted to compliment you.”

“thank you, princess,” taeil manages to get out. he paints a smile on his face even though he feels like he’s never been put in a more awkward situation. “it means a lot, honestly.” he decides to avoid the topic of having a crush on you, because he thinks he has experienced plenty of embarrassing moments today, thank you very much. so he changes the topic completely. “good luck, uh, on your coronation. i’m looking forward to it.”

you lower yourself into a mock curtsy. “why thank you. save me a dance during the after party, won’t you?”

taeil nods, not trusting himself to speak, and you bid him goodbye

he’s got an entire band leading the courtyard and it’s all traditional songs for the most part of taeil is able to slip in a few love songs now and again. and ofc everyone loves them bc they know taeil and OBV it’s hard to hate taeil

i feel like i just never shut up ab this couple. like ever. but i CANT HELP IT theyre soooo cute and canon from the very start! there is an anime but i HIGHLY recommend reading the manga. yukirin is cheery and bubbly and so openly in love w tsuyopon and tsuyopon is quiet, reserved, and isn’t one for pda. they just have some of the sweetest moments ever im tellin u. they are both very alike with gray and juvia in certain aspects. there are also 3 other pairings in the show that are all entertaining! (except for the main one i literally dont even remember their names but they were so boring lmao)

-chiaki x nodame (nodame cantabile)

this anime is ab 2 ppl that go to university for music, essentially. nodame falls for chiaki at first sight and is veryyyyy open about her feelings and chiaki (a full on tsundere) finds her annoying and weird (at first hehehe). things w these two rly dont pick up at all until the second season but i think theyre worth it!!! nodame teaches chiaki to let loose a little while chiaki makes sure nodame has some structure in her life. theyre soooo good for each other plus theres good music to listen to!!

-otani x riza (lovely complex)

this one is a BIT of a stretch. they start off not interested in each other romantically, and they’re basically just besties who bicker. but riza quickly catches feelings and otani is a lot more stubborn about coming to terms w his feelings. we see riza struggle a lot in her attempts to woo otani, but its all worth it in the end!! riza overall is a very realistic and personable character and one if my favssss and ur rooting for her to get otani’s attention.

-kyouya x erika (wolf girl and black prince)

ok this is a bit of an..... acquired taste to some lmao. erika is cute and bubbly and a bit akward and wants to fit in so she convinces kyouya (the best looking guy shes ever seen) to be her fake boyfriend. kyouya is cold, but decides to go along w it so he can tease (honestly BULLY) erika. then she eventually catches feelings and kyouya doesnt and yeah. i say this one isnt for everyone cus kyouya is just flat out mean at first😭😭 like he calls erika a dog and its just. its a BIT much! BUT he does change and yknow starts catching feelings too so for me i enjoyed it!

-irie x kotoko (itazura na kiss)

i actually just started this one the other day!!! so obv i cant speak on it that well BUT from what ive seen its gruvia-ish for sure. kotoko is cheery and cute and is in love w irie and has been all throughout high school but irie (again, like the others, cold and reserved) rejects her. then they end up having to live together and u get the jist. he teases her and ignores her, she’s hopelessly in love w him. the usual!

it has been SO long since ive seen this show so tbh i cant give the BEST summary of it/these two as a pair. BUT what i can tell u is koko is a romantic just like miss juvia!! she falls in love fast and hard and shes very bubbly and sweet, again, like juvia. banri does not give off big gray vibes tho, tbh. but the dynamic is still similar to gruvia in certain aspects. also the show is just good so u should watch it lol.

13. Wen Qing: What traits do you dislike about other people? - other than like, yknow, bigotry and ignorance and discrimination, my Least favorite trait is the refusal to emphasize. I have hyperempathy, which is a disorder that causes me to Over empathize involuntaryily, often to my own detriment. this is unconscious empathy. not everyone has it/a lot of it! I understand that! that's okay! but there is such a thing as voluntary empathy where you actively Attempt to empathize with others because you care. and some people just don't fucking care! and it enrages me, which, coincidentally, is an emotion that tends to override empathy. in the same vein I just... hate pessimism? like whatever if you're a pessimist that's your worldview and I'm not going to stop you but please do not shove it on other people especially when they are trying to be positive? sorry but I find beauty and hope in everything and I am going to be very aggressive about it if it fucking kills me. overall what I'm saying is I hate when people are just. unnecessaryily rude and mean to others and don't make an effort. like there are absolutely times when people don't deserve your kindness and energy and I Get that and support it but don't you ever get tired of being mean? don't you just wanna be nice?

14. Meng Yao: How many siblings do you have? Are you guys close? - okay this is sort of a convoluted answer but Technically By Blood I am the youngest of five, but my mom gave my eldest two sisters up for adoption when they were babies and only one of them wants to be in contact with my mom/us so,, I don't really think of them as my siblings?? I do have an older brother n another older sister tho and I'm rlly close with my sister!!! it's in the very strange way of like. I'd rather die than tell you a single detail of my personality but we Know Each Other and I'd die for you (even if I want to murder her in cold blood sometimes). I.. have not talked to my older brother in like 4 years and the last time I saw him he said something very racist at my 14th birthday dinner and was made to leave! so. yknow. he's like 11 years older than me tho so we were never really close in the first place? and also he shot me with an arrow when I was like 5

I feel like it's very much a tie between two of my best friends!! one of them I have been through a LOT with and we like... are constantly willing to evolve for each other n I think theres a lot of trust in that like. I know I can trust him because our relationship is built on the fact that we have Had to trust each other in order to keep loving one another. the other I have known for almost 14 years n she's seen me through like. The Worst Of It n I think when you know and love someone for that long your existence sort of becomes.. meshed together with theirs? so it's like trusting another peice of yourself? like how could I not trust someone who I know so well that we can talk without speaking

16. Song Lan: What is your favorite fairytale? - I think this is the only answer that will not be ridiculously long because.. I don't really know any fairytales? so i have a few friends who’ve been wanting to get into vav but dunno where to start so... i’ll just do this lil thing. obviously there’s gonna be my own opinions so don’t take everything i say to heart but like... here we go

vav (very awesome voice -- pronounced vee-ay-vee but i say vav bc im lazy) debuted in 2015, but when they debuted they had a different lineup. zehan, xiao, and gyeoul all left to pursue other activities. ziu, lou, and ayno joined the group in 2017! the fandom is called vampz because of the groups original concept but we don’t talk about that
