To explain to you the best way we can how our system operates. My (1st person) perception of the body is a sort of host. The many bits and pieces that make up all of me just reside within this shell (2nd person). We can control it with a series of inputs, not unlike that of a controller of a sort. but it is not just one single unified mind inside of this shell. The little bits and pieces that make up our personality are separable into different entities that sit behind the one fronting and talk at them like a council, attempting to sway their choices in the actions the body takes and the words it speaks.... But these entities, they also contain characterizations of other paths this host could have taken, had we made different choices or had we stayed existing geologically elsewhere. Even as far as being an entirely different breed of being, feelings of parts that aren’t there anymore and extensions of myself that we feel we should have….

The headspace that our system usually fronts with in Marisse's, however Natasha has become quite a big part of our life now and she makes us so happy. We feel her when we're treated like a puppy and given scritches and told that we're a good girl.

We can feel her really start to paw at the "controller" during these times and try and make decisions for me... and a lot of the times, we let her :)

Strong and wide momma dragon with a daredevil streak, unable to keep herself from the dangerous and the thrilling for too long before she gets herself tangled in another adventure! Competitive, stubborn, and self-driven!

Her two girlfriends are Bessie the cow and Tori the giraffe, and they live in an apartment with their adoptive son tempest the Clydesdale.

Natasha the Husky - 🐾

Voluptuous and sultry purple husky with a lavender underbelly and a black collar from which a purple bell hangs. She is overtly flirty with anyone she deems worth her time and slurps up attention with an incessantly wagging curl of tail floof.

the silver bullets but if they were a baseball team

hi and hello my friends. as u all know (and possibly see from my page) i've grown up a huge philadelphia sports fan all my life, and with the nfl season starting up and mlb season coming to a close (and my phillies in the postseason!) i decided that this was necessary as a development for the silver bullets girls as we have a big enough crew to get a full starting lineup and starting pitcher (along with our coach/manager birdie faulkner, rip queen!) PLEASE ENJOY!!!

silver bullet's team (baseball) manager: birdie 'cap'n' faulkner

no doubt birdie faulkner (in this AU i guess?!) would be alive and well and a damn-good manager for the silver bullets ball club. she's a natural-born leader, would probably actively fight any other team if someone messed with her girls and is undoubtedly someone who wants to do whatever it takes to win. when she used to play, she was one of the most efficient players at first base. in her 5th year as manager for the silver bullets. the girls call her cap'n - she's the leader of this time in every way possible.

(main) pitcher: carrie 'bergie' achterberg

1st starting rotation pitcher for the silver bullets is carrie achterberg, affectionately known by the team, her fellow players, and the fans as bergie. when bergie is up on the mound and pitching for her team, defense knows they can win if they can put up the numbers on offense. bergie is reliable, a fan-favorite despite her obvious stubbornness that is apparent even on the TV screen or radio (if you were to say, when the fans see bergie like that, they know she's passionate about her team and about winning). in her 4th year of a 10 year contract with the silver bullets. a pretty efficient left-hand pitcher (LHP) on the mound.

1st base: bessie 'bes' carlisle

1st basemen bessie carlisle is one of the voices of the team that's been there ever since birdie faulkner got the group together. originally was in the minor leagues for a few years before the silver bullets organization picked her up for their AAA (Triple A) minor league. she played a few games, put up some good numbers, was efficient at the plate, and consistently driving in runs. she played out the rest of her second season in the majors for the silver bullets and was signed to a major league contract for 5 years thereafter. in her 4th year of her 5 year contract with the silver bullets. bes not only is beloved by the fans, but her jersey usually is in the top three with sales! leads an organization that raises money to get kids into baseball, softball, etc...!

2nd base: marjorie 'margie' harlowe

2nd basemen majorie harlowe had one of the most productive rookie seasons after getting drafted by the silver bullets 3 years prior. a few years in the minors did her well and after successfully getting called-up into the majors with high expectations, she soared. still on her rookie contract, she continued to have productive at-bats through spring training and has high expectations for the new season. she quickly gained a large fanbase, is usually in the clubhouse with the best playlists for postgame wins or practice, and had one of the most memorable postgame interviews where she proceeded to tearfully recall the double ground-out, final out, (in which she caught the ball, got the out at second, threw the ball to bessie carlisle and proceeded to scream with joy) that sent the silver bullets into the previous postseason, while equally rambling and interjecting with a thousand different ways to say 'oh-my-god'. safe to say, margie is a fan-favorite. in her 2nd year with the silver bullets, on her rookie contract.

3rd base: vivian 'viv' ratcliff

tall, lean, a bit quiet, but one of the most improved of the team, 3rd basemen vivian ratcliff led the league in the previous season in RBIs and hopes to make the same impact moving forward into the season. she spent multiple years in the minors, before getting called up a few seasons back when one of their infielders went down and was injured the rest of the season. she stayed on a rookie contract for a few years, before she was signed onto a 4 year contract. is most widely known for her defense at third base, along with her rather hilarious postgame tweets that the fans can't seem to get enough of. in her 4th year of her 4-year contract with the silver bullets. viv has joined multiple pregame and postgame interviews and usually has quite the opinion on batting practice - key-word 'just hit the damn-ball'.

shortstop: kennedy 'kenny' farley

shortstop kennedy farley was once told as a kid that she couldn't play shortstop - it was too hard, it was the hardest defensively to play, and she wasn't good enough for the spot. she played her way into the draft, through the minors and became one of the most efficient shortstops in the league. longtime boyfriend, john egan, always says how he knew she'd be one of the best (and she usually tells him off, but secretly appreciates it more than anything). passionate player, has great at-bats, leads the team in homeruns (HRs), and has gotten in a FEW near-fights with other teams (usually defending other members of the silver bullets). in year 3 of her 4-year contract with the silver bullets. kenny has the second-highest selling jersey of team history! best friends with margie harlowe - people call the two sunshine and storm duo!

catcher: annie 'the LT' bradshaw

just signed onto a 5-year contract with the silver bullets and traded from her previous organization, the RPs, catcher annie bradshaw finds herself in a new position - not only needing to gain the trust of her teammates, but of her pitchers. not only needing to call a game, but call a winning game with her pitchers. the silver bullets signed her because of her intelligence at the plate, her ability to throw people out caught stealing bases, and her rather productive at bats that get pitchers throwing full counts, before sending a ball into the field. and she easily reads a field and communicates that with her pitchers. in her 1st year of her 5-year contract with the silver bullets. affectionately called the LT, or lieutenant by the girls because of her willingness to lead and step up to the plate, while also being focused, alert, and disciplined. highly respected around the league.

left field: marianne 'mari' salinger

outfielder marianne salinger was brought up from the minor leagues when left-fielder matilda kerkering went down with a torn achillies. on her rookie contract, mari assisted with getting the silver bullets into the postseason previously with her ability to turn a few hits into big moments, with RBIs or base-hits whenever she can make it happen. through her second year, she struggled with her at-bats and was sent back to the minors for assignment. she worked hard, improved and came back with a huge fan reception and succeeded highly throughout the rest of the season. in her third season, injury plagued her capabilities to play and she finished out the season only playing 1/8 of the games. now in her fourth year, and having just signed a 3-year contract, she's hoping to make a bigger impact and big a key-player for her teammates. close friends with francis montez, having both started in the minors together, with francis being called up a few months previous. in her 4th year with the silver bullets, in the first year of her contract. mari gave the spring training hype speech for the training and finished it off far-too emotional and it sent the team into tears.

center field: judy 'rib-ee' rybinski

rookie outfielder judy rybinski is one of the fastest outfielders of the league. she catches pop-ups and fly-outs that you see on TV and think 'yeah there's no way you can catch that' - and she DOES. it is her first year in the majors, after having been drafted by the silver bullets two years ago and spending some time putting in the work in the minors. now, in her first major league season, she's already put up efficient numbers and given solid at-bats. her stellar defense from the minors has already shown itself on the field, but at times she's struggled to really see the ball and gets far more strikeouts than she would've liked. BUT, she works hard before games, usually having batting practice by herself or with guidance from bradshaw and carlisle. she's a fan favorite, with many tweets trending after games simply stating 'JUDY RYBINSKI MUST BE PROTECTED', and currently has the highest selling jersey on the team, along with high expectations. in her first year of her rookie contract. rib-ee comes from her childhood tee-ball league when she consistently hit the most RBIs or RIB-Es. it seemed to stick! :)

right field: paulina 'pauli/stag' stagliano

outfielder paulina stagliano, admittedly, has more of a carefree, nonchalant, possibly too-sarcastic personality for baseball, but she makes it work??!?! she finished her contract on a previous team, became a free agent, and signed with the silver bullets on a 5-year contract and didn't really meet the expectations she was supposed to have in her first year. poor at-bats, occasional injury, and struggles in the outfield. she worked through the offseason and spring training and found her stride and in her second-year, in the first game, hit a walk-off homerun that gave one of the most beloved postgame interviews constantly recalled by the team and by carrie achterberg herself [achterberg stating she'd never seen pauli or the stag so emotional yet pissed off at the same time while having the gatorade cooler dumped over her head]. a beloved player by the fans, leading an established organization for veterans like her father needing support for aid, housing and food, she finds herself heading into her 3rd year of her 5-year contract with the silver bullets.

DH: francis 'monty' montez

designated hitter francis montez stepped up to expectations and succeeded them in full. back in college, she quickly rose through the ranks as a freshmen and got first spot as DH over the original DH who'd been on the college team for a few years. with such high expectations, she got much more hate than was bargained for - therefore, she continued to work, develop her character, her capability to play ball, her work at-bat and at the plate, and got drafted by the silver bullets and quickly got called up to the majors after a few months in the minors. a natural spokeswoman for the silver bullet screw, she signed an 8-year contract with the silver bullets and has entered her 4th year on the team. affectionately called monty, the TV and/or radio announcers typically call 'THERE GOES MONTY' every time she hits a homer that's out of the ballpark. yeah, there's shirts with the quote, signs, kids usually have her sign it on jerseys and shirts, too. they even have a drink in the ballpark called the monty - alcoholic and nonalcoholic. increased revenue for the sillver bullets exponentially because of both her character, her fame and her fanbase at the ballpark that couldn't wait to come see what monty could do at the plate!

To promote my book, "summer loving," on Wattpad, heres a chapter!! This is chapter three, party. I will link the hole story at the end. It is fairly new and getting updates almost everyday. Hope everyone enjoys this!!

I woke up to here chaos downstairs. They must be setting up. My clock said "10:15" so it makes sense.

I walked downstairs to see draco and his friends setting things up. Like a beer pong table and a mini bar.

Draco looked over at me standing there and said, "did I awake sleeping beauty?"

He turned away, is he... blushing? What the actual fuck.

I'll ignore it..

I went back upstairs and called Bessy. Begging the goodie girl to come to a party.

She has gone to 1 party, blacked out, and found herself in a bathtub. Since then, she said she'd never go to one again.

I told her that her lovely crush, Blaise, will be there. As soon as those words left my mouth, she was on way there.

I helped set up a bit, ate a late lunch, than I looked at the time "5:23 PM."

"I'm going to get dressed," I said, excusing myself.

I heard giggling as I left, draco and his friends whispering something to one another.

I grabbed the one dress I could wear to a party. Surprise surprise, it was green.

I rarely got to wear any color other than blue and yellow. So I might as well wear the dress I bought years back for the first time.

We danced a bit, than I wanted to get a drink. I walked towards the make shift bar as got a shot of tequila.

I took 2, no 3 shots. After that I kinda lost all consciousness I had.

I was very gone. Drunk.

Bessy walked me around, making sure I was safe. She was my sober friend.

"You~ your so pretty bess" I said loudly, sluring my words.

"You really are drunk," she was dying of laughter.

I began to dance and run around, Bessy losing me every second. I ended up at the bear pong table some how.

I won the two games I played. What can I say, I've done that game alot.

There was a truth or dare circle on the sofas and do decided to join. Draco was sat with the group as well.

"Clara, truth or dare?" Asked a girl named ginny.

"Hmm~truth," I slurred with a smirk.

"Would you fuck anyone in this group?" She giggled.

I looked around. My drunk ass was going to say Draco. It was the truth. But I chose to just say,

"Sure."

"My turn, Draco, truth or dare?" Asked pansy.

I'm pretty sure her and draco dated for a bit. Hooked up for sure.

"Dare." He said.

"I dare you to kiss who you find hot for 30 seconds," her little giggles interrupted each word.

He looked around for abit than walked over to me, kissing me.

I was so gone. Sober me would have pushed him away and called my parents to come home. But drunk me on the other hand.

After 30 seconds, he pulled away and wiped his lips. Which we're now covered in my lipstick.

He walked back to his seat and sat down. he wiped the lipstick off his lips with his shirt.

Pansy looked angry. I don't know if they are broken up or it's a hookup thing but she was pissed.

I wiped my lips a bit, my lipstick was smeared all over.

"Truth or dare Clara!" Pansy said with an angry tone.

"Truth, again," I said calmly. I was so unaware how mad she was.

"Are you actually a whore?" He anger boiled over.

"That's to fucking far pansy," draco fought back.

"It's fine," I spoke for myself. "I'll answer.. I'm not a whore. But I mean if Draco, your crush, wants to hook up with me. you should really think why he doesn't want your ass in bed and myn instead."

She threw a punch at my face, I dodged it and pushed her onto the couch and threw a punch that will definitely leave a bruise.

I got off her and said "call me a whore all you want. Your just mad I can get it and you can't."

I laughed and walked towards draco with a little trip once and awhile.

I grabbed his black tie and pulled him up from his seat.

"I'll show you a whore bitch." I said and I kissed him.

I pulled away and grabbed Blaise and began to kiss him and draco back and forth.

Everyone claps for me and once I'm done, the best friends look at eachother in happy shock.

I walked away and Bessy followed after me.

"What. The. Fuck Clara!" She yelled.

"What?" I said confused.

"You don't kiss you best friends crush to prove a point to some bitch?!" She yelled.

I had forgotten she had a thing for Blaise. I'm so blinded by being drunk I forgot.

"I'm sorry bessy..i forgot in the moment." I tried to apologize.

"Once you are sober, than come talk to me," she stomped away.

I walked outside and sat against a pillar. How could I?

All I do is ruin perfect things.

I heard the backdoor open, I was just blanked out staring.

"Hey." A familiar voice said.

It was Draco.

"Hey," I said softly back.

"Are you okay? It's cold out here and your in just your short dress." Draco asked as he sat next to me.

"I ruined me and my best friends relationship, all to get revenge on pansy," I muttered.

I began to cry a bit.

I shivered a bit, he was right. It's cold as balls.

He put his coat over my shoulders. Trying to warm me up.

"Blaise isn't for Bessy. Bessy doesn't understand Blaise is well...very active." He joked.

I wiped my tears and let a little laugh out.

"I love her but he would ruin her life," I said. "Just how do I tell her that?"

"You don't. Let her find out the hard way," He tried to comfort me the best he could.

"Come inside. It's late and I think you should get to bed." He said, helping me to my feet.

He walked me inside and took me up to my room. I unlocked my door and he laid me down on my bed.

He turned to walk away when I grabbed him and kissed him.

I pulled away quickly and began to apologize frantically.

"I'm...I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me," I explained.

"Your okay. Goodnight Clara. Sleep well." He said as he closed my door and left.

I changed into some pajamas and locked my door again, I don't want some people trying to hook up coming in when I'm sleeping.

I cried for a couple hours. I ruined a perfect friendship. One of my only friends down the drain.

Once I felt ready for bed, I tried to sleep but it's a party.

I heard some kissing and moaning coming from dracos room. Maybe some people just snuck in.

That was till I heard a moan.

In the interest of simplicity, I will refer to her as precisely what she is to me: a Thorn in the side if ever there was one.

As for the man with no conscience, I do know his name, and in the interest of your well-being, reader, I tell it to you in the hope that this knowledge will help you to avoid any possible encounter with him. This man's name is Arthur Harrow.

I, the unfortunate creature tasked with recording and narrating this godless nightmare of a love story, am the god Khonshu, master of the night sky and self-appointed distributor of righteous vengeance on humanity's behalf.

The Thorn's story, for our purposes at least, begins about sixteen years before Harrow entered her life. Harrow, at this time, was still a novice criminal prosecutor with brown hair and glass-free shoes. He was also my avatar, the Fist of Vengeance. In a different part of the same country, the Thorn was a sullen, watchful ten-year-old girl wearing a school uniform designed for a child several years her junior, and standing on top of a plastic chair. Her weak legs crossed awkwardly, she tugged with fumbling tiny fingers on the edge of her pleated skirt, the skirt that had gotten her into this mess in the first place.

No, it wasn't the skirt's fault. Even the Thorn herself knew that. It was her mother's fault for making her wear it, for not having the money to replace it with a more comfortably fitting copy. Or it was Marc Spector's fault for snatching her lucky hat, the one just like the hat Bessie wore in Tomb Buster, and putting it on his own stupid, dumb, big baby face head and laughing at her until her indignation graduated into rage and then into the wild fury that sent her careening, monkeylike, over both their desks and ripping it from his dumb curly hair and shrieking that he was the meanest person ever and that she hated him and never wanted to play at his house ever again, and also gave him quite the pathetic (albeit passionate) swat across the face.

Or it was the Teacher's fault for choosing this last moment to stride into the classroom and let his eyes fall immediately on the Thorn, half-squatting and half-straddling over Marc's desk with a rather impressive disregard for her own dignity. Luckily, he didn't see the slap. Unluckily, what he did see was the way the back of her tiny plaid skirt had flipped carelessly inside out, revealing just the slightest glimpse of the garment underneath.

He didn't yell. He wasn't that kind of man.

He was worse.

First, he said her name. She hated the sound of it in his mouth, his soft voice dripping with benevolent disappoinment that a stranger might easily mistake for genuine care.

The torture was underway.

"I assume you brought something to change into?" he said placidly, knowing perfectly well what her answer would be.

She shook her head.

"And what made you think that was an acceptable thing to wear to school?" he inquired innocently, surveying the frayed edge of the unholy garment with the cool contempt of an Academic (something the Teacher erroneously considered himself to be).

She doesn't remember what she said next, as the world around her had by now begun to adopt a kind of surreal sheen. There was a vague awareness of the students around her, but whether they were laughing, contemptuous, or simply dumbstruck, she could not have said. Somewhere very far away, Marc offered his sweater: "She can just tie it around her, then the skirt's not a problem anymore, right?" (Always the chivalrous defender, even in childhood—most humans would call this a great virtue, but I can only see it as Marc's most fatal flaw.) The hotly contested hat lay forgotten in the cold linoleum shadow under the desk.

Then all she knew was the closeness of the Teacher's body to hers, the simmering malice with which his claw of a hand gripped her shoulder, the invisible column of shame that sucked the air from around her, and the frail, unprotected nakedness of her thighs. The agonizing screech of metal on linoleum—a chair, adult-sized, chipped vomit-pink plastic, dragged to the center of the classroom just for her. She found herself on top of it, a martyr at the stake, her executioner poised to light the kindling.

Words. Not flames.

"Do you know why you're standing here?" the Teacher asked. "Why I've had to interrupt your classmates' education this morning?"

She thought of the climactic final showdown in Tomb Buster: Bessie tied to the stone altar, the undead Aztec priest preparing her for sacrifice. The harsh grin of moonlight glinting against the knife. A sneering voice from nowhere: "You see? This is where it has to end. There is no other way. No tree can ascend to the light of Heaven if it doesn't descend to the depths of hell!"

Again the Teacher said her name, the degradation of it scorching her back to the present.

"Do you know why we have a dress code? Who can tell me?" He addressed the class this time, his voice glittering with self-satisfaction. "No one?" Reader, not since the days of the "Great" Alexander himself have I witnessed such a grotesque display of misplaced cocksuredness (and coming from me, that is saying quite a lot).

"This classroom is a place for learning," he explained, "and we can't learn when there are distractions present, can we? For the same reason we don't bring footballs and electronic handheld gaming devices to school, we don't allow certain students to wear clothing that may draw the attention of other students away from their classwork and cause them to have thoughts and feelings that are not appropriate in a school environment."

"That doesn't make any sense," Bessie retorted, her glamorous curls pasted to her face with sweat. "Heaven, hell, why does it have to be one or the other? What ever happened to the good old-fashioned middle ground?"

Silence pounded against the impersonal grayish walls of the classroom. She couldn't speak. It was as if her voice had been ripped away by the iron tongs of humiliation. She tried to imagine how it would feel not to have legs. It would look pretty strange, a little girl's torso floating overtop the chair, plaid pleated skirt shivering in the naked air like the tentacles of a jellyfish.

"Wait a sec," Marc Spector interjected. "Did you just say her legs are the same thing as a video game? 'Cause, no offense, but that's kind of wack, man."

Oh, dear reader, you have never heard such a silence.

"Marc," the Teacher smiled coolly, "go to the principal's office."

Marc shrugged, and did as he was told.

"Where's your friend Dr. Grant now, when you need him the most?" the voice surrounding Bessie taunted.

As he was leaving, Marc turned to look the Thorn straight in the eye. He winked, gave an almost imperceptibly quick thumbs-up, and disappeared into the black hallway to seek out his fate in the principal's office.

"Well, Dr. Grant may have me beat for brawn, you've got me there," Bessie conceded. "It's true, I may not be a swashbuckling hunk with superpowers temporarily granted to him by the lunar god of the Aztecs, but I am proud of what I am: I am…an anthropologist!"

Her body was coming back to her. She felt her legs again. They were frail, pathetic little ten-year-old human legs, but they somehow supported her nonetheless. Her mind was returning as well, sane and conscious and billowing with righteous anger. Next would be her voice. She turned to the Teacher, looked him in the face. The glitter of inherent masculine certainty in her eyes wavered, and he came to stand in front of her. Her eyes were almost level with his.

"How dare you make a mockery of my classroom," he said, so softly that only the two of them, and of course, any gods watching silently over the scene, could hear the menace that slicked over his words. "You're disrespectful, immature, a self-serving little s—" his gaze flicked distastefully downward, to just below her cursed skirt, and back up at her, "well, you know what."

He turned back to the other students. "No one is to speak to her for the rest of the day. If I see any of you so much as look at her, it'll be a detention."

The Thorn's voice had clawed its way out of its prison of shame; it was bursting through the surface—

"You're sick." The words poured from her soul before she knew she was saying them. "You're a horrible teacher, and an evil, sick, perverted man. I will never, ever forget what you did to me today, even after I'm dead."

The teacher's face darkened. (No tree can ascend to the light of Heaven if it doesn't descend to the depths of hell.) "Well," he said, all pretenses abandoned, no longer the well-meaning teacher, but an adult man confronting an equal. "Is that all?"

It was not. "You'll get what's coming to you," she spat, speaking from somewhere outside of herself, "even if it takes a million years, you'll get what you deserve. All evil people do. God or the universe, whatever's out there, because you know there's something, they'll make sure you pay for how you treated people like me." She stepped down from the chair and walked out of the classroom. No one followed.

The school hallway stretched before her like a liminal nightmare. Somewhere down at the end, Marc was receiving gods-know-what kind of punishment for standing up for her. A throb of remorse went through the Thorn's heart as her earlier words came back to her like the aftershock of an earthquake: You're the meanest person ever, I hate you, I never want to play at your house ever again! Then the anticlimactic phip of her palm against his cheek.

The thrill of her victory over the Teacher had all but drained away. In its place was the ripe, purplish stickiness of shame, soaking and dripping over her insides. She felt it oozing from her heart, down her lungs, trickling over her ribs one by one, and at last laying to fester and congeal at the bottom of her chest cavity.

"You'll get what's coming to you," she had said to the Teacher, "even if it takes a million years, you'll get what you deserve." And she was no better than him, really. Marc was her friend. He had been joking with her, trying to make her laugh, and she had screamed abuse and attacked him. And even after that, he had defended her when she had no voice to defend herself.

In the end, she was no different from the Teacher. A person who hurt other people for no reason.

She turned back to the door of the classroom. It gaped, vacuous, a silent challenge. Behind her was the cryptlike hallway to the principal's office. To her left, a window was open just wide enough for a small body to slip through and escape into the beckoning woods.

Her options were few, and all equally inadvisable, but one was easier than the others by a large degree. Before another thought could invade her head, she swung a leg over the windowsill and struggled through to the sticky outdoors. The trees welcomed her, a lost fugitive desperate for sanctuary, and she vanished into a wall of green.

She walked until the August heat had made a nest of discomfort in her parched throat and her legs, slashed into bloody stripes by the choking undergrowth, screamed for rest. Somewhere to hide, that's all she needed. A special place just for her.

The forest heard her need, and all at once the cave was known to her. The narrow archway of its black mouth howled a soft, mournful promise: Safe here.

After stopping to craft a makeshift slingshot using a lopsided Y-shaped stick and a hair elastic from her wrist (Dr. Grant warned Rosser never to enter a mysterious cavern without a method of self-defense handy), the Thorn plunged into her new home. This, she thought, would work just fine. It was dark, sure, but she would teach herself to make fire by rubbing two sticks together, and besides, that wouldn't be a concern until nighttime. Every home needs a bed, so she gathered a heap of pine needles from the forest floor and spread them in a crude rectangular shape on the damp stone ground of the cave. By the time she was finished with these preliminary moving-in essentials, her throat was a furious desert fire of thirst. When her attempt to use a fallen leaf as a makeshift cup failed, and since no one was around to scold her for bad manners anyway, she dropped to all fours, pressed her face to one of the tepid puddles that dotted the cave's floor, and slurped until the filthy water was nearly gone.

Then she crawled to her pine needle bed, where she fell asleep thinking of her wallpaper at home, a jocular pattern of alternating hippos and crocodiles making an enthusiastic but fruitless attempt to dance ballet. She loved that wallpaper. She would miss it. Perhaps she could recreate it on the walls of her new home, like the cavemen did. But what will I use for paint? was her last thought before sinking away into sleep.

I feel that with all the Newton messy life/relationship/TT and all someone was left to easily. Bessie Carter pissed with big part of the cast, specially/maybe with Harriet?? LukeT in the middle?? Has some friends/girl code being broken??What's the deal between Luke and Harriet??Was there anything ever??Relationship, friends with beneficts, LukeT being a sweetheart with everyone??LukeT's sexual chemistry with everyone?? Luke being a good cover cause Harriet was starting a new thing with Perry???

Then back to Bessie, she was always with Harriet filming season 2, now seeing the bts of season 3 we have zero og them together but tons with LukeT, so her "deal" proably is with Harriet. Also, I was suprised that with had pics of Harriet alone, with Jess with Hannah, even with Perry Fitzpatrick at the premiere but none with Bessie.

And in the middle we have Sam, that went with Bessie to see LukeT last year at the premiere, so clearly with him is all good, who, at least on social media, seems to have a cool relation with Nicola, and we can go ack to Bessie who clearly has a lot of issues there too.

Okay, this was long and a lot of guessings, but this is also an interesting, whatever we call it, moment happening.

do you like the ladies in waiting?

Ummmm, okay looks like I’m finally answering this x

So unpopular opinion, I like the ladies in waiting.

Another opinion: I don’t like how they are portrayed in the six fandom and I don’t read any of the fics with them being major characters because of that.

I’m not going to get into who writes what cause people can write whatever they want, ima just ignore what personally bugs me. But I don’t really view the Ladies in waiting as something serious or important really, just kinda there to help move the plot along or in Joans case, just exist.

I do however have headcanons for how they look and act, something I have had since last year and adore. Here are my personality head canons for them in my non written and probably never will be written AUs.

Maria: I love my baby drummer. She is a lesbian, this is a fact. She is also kinda the mom of the group, and a bit flirty. (Hotta love it when she mutters curse words in Spanish under her breath.) she is probably my second favorite, maybe my first if a certain someone didn’t forget that they were playing her in our six roleplay every five fucking seconds. She is chill in my eyes, and usually in a story to either move the plot along for Aragon, or for Anne when Maggie and Bessie are busy. Kinda just bossy mom who is also flirty and that’s alright.

Bessie: My faveeeeeee! Absolutely the biconic one. She is the only other one besides Maria in the group who has a brain cell. The issue is that brain cell is gay and will freeze whenever Maggie kisses her. She is a bit quiet, but really sweet and logical. However, she tends to get caught up in the chaos and tries to be the voice of reason, but then she just goes fuck it and takes a swig of her flask (she swears Anne and Maggie’s chaos will make her an alcoholic one day) and does whatever her girlfriend feels like doing. Except if it is arson, she refuses to let Maggie commit arson.... again.

Maggie: absolute chaos, and very gay. She is Anne’s childhood best friend, even if Anne jokingly says they are not friends and Maggie is just someone who follows her. “She’s kinda like a stalker-” “I AM NOT-” “Maybe I should get a restraining order >:3”. She is Bessies girlfriend, and is very into PDA and will literally cuddle her and flip off men who try to hit on Bessie at the same time. She is very sweet, but also can be a bit pushy. Love her though, she is my third fave of the four.

Lastly,

Joan: uhhhhh she just kinda exists. Like I don’t really care for her as much as the others. The others have either the mom friend or the couple thing going for them, so Joan is just in the background being alive. Every now and then she will pop up and trip over something. I don’t know, I mainly put Joan in just as a name because I feel bad mentioning all the LIWs and then excluding her. Guess..... she is short as well? That’s all I got, sorry x

Like I said before, these head canons are mainly made for how they can help move my stories along, and all my fics are centered around Parrlyn and KatAnna (with also Aramour being added). You can like them or dislike them, I don’t really care. But yeah, here is how I feel about the LIWs, they are okay and chill, I just have my own portrayals and don’t take them really seriously. If you do that’s also chill, and if you don’t, again, chill.

I know I have friends who lowkey high key hate and are triggered by the Ladies, meanwhile I also have some who absolutely adore them and their content (looking at you my child, love you so much and you are valid.), personally I guess I’m just neutral about them. To be fair though, that’s because the show is called six, and not ten or four, so yeah, I’ll stick to my WIPs for Parrlyn and KatAnna!

Hi! I'd love to hear more about your thoughts on what really happened between Catherine, Anne Boleyn, and Henry VIII when Henry "got interested" in Anne. I really loved your first post talking about this!

I'll try my best. It's bit complicated because of the very spoken about and untrue misconceptions. About what was going on in marriage of Queen Catherine of Aragon and the King.

And this context is very very important here. Long story short: 

A)Catherine and Henry weren’t love-birds since c.1514.

B)Henry stopped coming to Catherine’s bed in c.1525, when she turned 40 and imo he was already doubting validity of his marriage.  Even if Anne didn’t exists, he’d still try to ‘divorce’ Catherine(actually he seeked annulment), because he didn’t want to stay married to her. He’d persue just persue somebody else.

C)Henry’s cheating is overexagerated. He had just 1 long-term mistress, Bessie Blount, and the affair ended probably with birth of Fitzroy who was raised as if he was a prince. 

But what happened between those 3 people? What did they think of each other? What happened between them when Henry got interested in Anne?

Very good question, and one I can only aswer as imo, because there is lack of evidence. (Or rather lack of unbiased evidence.) But there are several things pointing to Anne not being into Henry’s advances, at least innitially.

Once she wanted to marry Henry Percy, heir to earldom of Northumberland. And it seems they were both in love. But he was already bethrohed to somebody else, and his father refused to break the bethrohal and allow  him to marry Anne.

(It was insulting to break bethrohals.)

Tbh, Anne’s background was not bad. She had dukes and earls in her ancestry. Thomas Boleyn himself was not merely a knight-he was knight of bath since 1509. Valued diplomat and on good terms with the King. Imo, even without his daughter(s), Thomas Boleyn would gain some peerage when Henry was granting titles left and right in 1520s. Just perhaps would not raise as high as he did, imo baron instead of earl.

But no matter how valued, Thomas Boleyn wouldn’t be the only person Anne would have to seek permission from, to leave court to escape Henry. As maid of honour to the Queen(unmarried ladies were maids of honour, married ladies in waiting), she had to ask her mistress, the Queen.

So Catherine had to allow Anne to leave the court to escape the King. 

It’s possible that Catherine didn’t know why Anne wished to leave and that she’d allow all ladies and maidens within her household to have time off or leave her service, without asking.  (After all she had many, so no big deal.)

But it is equally possible that Catherine noticed Henry was paying Anne more attention and knew why Anne wished to leave. But by allowing subject of King’s desire of to flee, he might then turn his wrath at Catherine and they could argue about it.

I don’t think that’d be reaction Catherine would have expected, because most men simply move on when girl leaves to another girl. Not this time.

But if Catherine didn’t know at beginning of Anne’s unwillingness, she might have expected Anne to become next Bessie Blount, a long-term mistress of the King. As far as I know, Catherine never made big deal of Bessie herself, just wasn’t that happy about Henry’s preferable treatment of Fitzroy. Of course, a new long-term mistress could mean more male bastards, which Henry could prefer over his daughter, so Catherine would not be happy about it, but she’d probably not object to it. 

I personally think Henry enjoyed the hunt, the persuation and perhaps he wished for worthy prey. He liked to think of himself as of this gallant hero, who persues his unreachable lady. So Anne refusing him, could actually be intriguing for him.

Because most women wouldn’t. Ok, maybe bit at beginning, but not for long time. Anne in his mind proved herself to be moral, by refusing him, hence worthy of his persuation. 

People nowadays think she learnt how to manipulate men like this while abroad. But I believe the 1507 birthdate and i think she would be far too young to learn anything of the sort, and in most time she’d rather be kept as companion to royal children in royal nurseries than part of adult court.

And Henry made it absolutely obvious, he wanted sex. His ‘love-letters’ have such phrases such as ‘wishing to kiss your duckies’(slang for breasts), and I am surprised he didn’t include crude sketch of his junk alongside it. 

Really if you think about it, he was sending her dirty messages.

Any girl with dignity if she was sent messages like this nowadays from married older man, would say to herself-Oh! Gross! Block! and would move on.

But Anne couldn’t. He was the King.

Is it possible Anne eventually fell for it? It is. Henry could be charming when he wanted to. He could also greatly outplay his hand and be totally creepy(as meeting with Anne of Cleves proves). 

Morality is also complicated thing and some people would absolutely not do anything with married person. But they might be willing to be with person who is divorced, or their marriage was annuled. 

And I can only speculate about how Anne actually felt later on, when she realised Henry was serious in his persuation. And who knows, maybe it flattered her, that powerful man, a King, who wasn’t yet bad looking, was taking notice in her.

All scenarios are still on table. Including that Catherine felt sorry for her rival, at least at beginning for being unwilling victim of persuation, or after Anne miscarried-after all Catherine experienced the loss of Henry’s children too. 

Or that Anne felt sorry for Catherine being set aside by Henry.

Just because propaganda on both sides made it seem as if those women hated it each other, doesn’t mean it really happened in real life.

And those are my thoughts about this.

AMPHIBIA SEASON 2 FINALE: INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS AND SHIPPING

SPOILERS FOR ALL OF AMPHIBIA PRE-"TRUE COLORS" & SEASON 2B TRAILER

It's time.... I can't believe this is the final week of Amphibia before the hiatus for Season 3. We can cry about that in May, but for now we have some business to get to with Relationship drama!

DISCLAIMER: This is a shipping/platonic interpersonal relationship discussion post for the relationship between all three of the girls. All healthy ships are good ships, but I’m talking from my perspective. This is my own speculation for the show, and what I interpret may not be the crew’s intent. So I’m doing this with the knowledge that there’s a possibility that this is all speculation and not canon.

If no ships at all, or the ship you wanted did not happen in the Season 2 finale, do not blame the artists and creators for such. Many fandoms have done this and it’s possible that it will happen again. Just don’t be those people who ignore the hard work and beautiful storytelling the Amphibia crew have done and just complain to them about not doing the ship you/we desperately wanted. Harassing the crew for telling their story is a horrible thing to do. So please be mindful of that.

I will also talk about both monogamous ships and a potential polyamorous ship (which is WILD that a Disney frog isekai has one of the most potential for LGBT Poly representation). So if you're polyphobic or monophobic, this post isn't for you. (while you're at it block me.)

But let’s get started:

The Polaroid

A recurring prop used to showcase the happy memories of Anne, Sasha and Marcy. We’ve only seen two of the same Polaroid: one with Anne, and the other with Sasha. It's used to showcase the three girls' tight friendship and bond initially on Earth, and I think if Marcy shows hers, it might showcase the angst of her working for Andrias. (More on that theory in my plot speculation post.)

There is no one else to morally ship them with.

Pad Thai shippers, calm down. In a show like this, there would be a dude who came to Amphibia with the three girls and Anne or someone would fall in love with him. But like The Owl House, there is no hetero ship presented with Anne, Sasha or Marcy that aren't Amphibians. The only people we can ship the three girls with are each other, and even then Sasha and Anne's ANGST is too much for a healthy relationship at the moment. Marcy would be the only real potential option for a happy ship with Anne. (Don't attack me Sashanne shippers, just stating the facts on screen.)

"Well, romance isn't the focus of this show!" You're right. Romance isn't the focus, but the show does do romance. We've seen several times with Sprig and Ivy, and Hop Pop and Sylvia. They may not be the centre focus (which is one of the reasons I love this show) but it exists. The show has done romance several times, and if they culminate a romance with [two or all three of the] girls, it would make sense. The potential is there, but will it happen?

Romance Thread

Hop Pop and Sylvia, Joe Sparrow and Bessie, Sprig and Ivy, "Quarreler's Pass" where Hop Pop asks Anne if she has a boyfriend to fill the awkward silence: these are all romance threads/points throughout the season and it makes so much more sense to have them culminate in this finale or at least showcase an idea of further explicit queer relationship, and do the romance in Season 3.

An overarching story with these three girls has been their interpersonal relationships with one another as Sasha is controlling of both of them, and Anne and Marcy try to find their own path and reach their own autonomy. By having Marcy and Anne find themselves devoid of Sasha, they are free to be themselves.

Sasha as a Complex Character

Sasha at the current moment is not ready for any relationship with Anne or Marcy, especially with what we learn about her in “The Third Temple” in using Marcy, Anne and the Plantars to storm Newtopia. She is a major component of angst in the show, and the main conflict to Anne and Marcy's arcs. Especially with the Season “wrapping” up their angst by "Battle of the Bands", but touching on it in several episodes of the season: it seems like it's going to be thrown over to the next season. The Season 2 finale will be somehow more angsty than “Reunion” (which... how are they going to do??) and the Season 3 finale will introduce a sort of distrust arc and denouement of them realising their relationship and dynamics were not healthy. The biggest disconnect in the last episode was Sasha thinking that after she uses them to get into Newtopia safely, she can somehow control this relationship she has between Marcy and Anne.

[You might be wondering: "okay, but if their angst is doubling down this season, why do a big post on potential shipping and relationships?" Because I can and I want to. I'm just very into these adorable teenagers being in a happy relationship as soon as possible (especially if it's not hetero).]

Sasha and Marcy - Hold your horses, this isn’t a Sasharcy segment. I’m talking about the relationship and interactions between these characters themselves.

We haven’t yet seen how Sasha and Marcy interact without Anne there: similar to Season 1 where we knew who Anne and Sasha were in terms of their own characters, but in “Reunion” we saw how their dynamic was and how that played a great influence on the Battle of Toad Tower. I think “True Colors” will delve a little into that with perhaps a flashback.

Another similarity and difference between the two is that Marcy is willing to give up her hyper fixated goal for the people she cares about. We see it in "The First Temple" where Marcy is willingly forfeiting the game to save Anne and the Plantars from the harm of the Temple. While with Sasha, we see in "Barrel's Warhammer" that she is persistent in going through with obtaining the Warhammer, even at the cost of the people around her. In this instance, Percy and Braddock. I definitely think that Marcy and Sasha are two foils while still being similar overall. If Andrias' plan means risking Anne and Sasha, I think Marcy would very quickly try to undo it and help Anne.

One theory I saw floating around was in "Reunion", Sasha forgot it was Anne's birthday, and so she sent Marcy to find her a gift while she distracted Anne with all the "fun birthday" stuff. I think perhaps we'll see some more of that, to showcase their relationships as a second chapter to "Reunion" where we see their dynamics. Or it could just be a Season 3 thing.

Anne and Marcy

Something I really like is a post made by @pyroclastic727. They talk about how Marcy and Anne were other-ing each other when I’m their relationship with Sasha. As much as Anne and Marcy cared for each other pre-meet-up, Anne in Season 1 focuses on Sasha. And of course who wouldn’t? Sasha is a force to be reckoned with, and last such an impression that we were terrified of who Marcy was going to be before we met her. I recommend checking their post here for full context.

One thing I am interested in that will probably be a Season 3 flip is how Marcy and Anne met. They seemed to be friends since they were babies, there isn’t really an understanding of where their relationship started. It could be they were best friends, but they started othering each other once Sasha joined them. But now, they’re high tier solid friends again.

The major thing Sasha isn't accounting for is the fact that Anne has changed and grown over time. She's not the exact same girl from Earth, she has grown and changed. Become better and able to stand up for herself. Sasha and Anne's relationship seems to be more angst driven than it was in "Reunion". (HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE???)

THE ARC OF WOMEN LOVING WOMEN

Now that the general stuff is out of the way, let's dig a little deeper into the arcs of the three girls these two seasons so far.

101B - “Best Fronds” - We see Anne’s relationship with Sasha, and how she manipulates Anne and Marcy to do as she says. I’ll talk about this a bit more in the “Barrel’s Warhammer” section from Sasha’s POV, but this is big stuff.

110 - “Toad Tax” + “Prison Break” - These two episodes tie in Sasha and Anne’s angst for the season. It directly ties in two plot threads that are very prominent in ”Reunion”: “Toad Tax” with Anne’s progression as a character and her connection to the people of Wartwood, while “Prison Break” shows Sasha willing to do what it takes to get back home and find the other girls. This is the main plot of the season 1 finale, where Sasha helps Grimes to get what he wants in order for her and Anne to find Marcy and get home, even if it means killing off Hop Pop since he’s a frog and according to her, he doesn’t matter.

119B & 120 - “Anne of the Year” + “Reunion”

There's so much to unpack here. But this is a major moment in Anne standing up for herself, Sasha's "sacrifice", and the future of their relationship hanging in the balance. This is the main trigger for the Sashanne dynamic, the toxic and angst driven story. The end of Act 1 of this 3 act story.

201A - “Handy Anne”

This is an essential episode. The premiere immediately starts off with mentions of Sasha in the events of the Battle for Toad Tower. In addition to Marcy being mentioned only a few moments later. Clearly Anne isn't over the events of Toad Tower, but she's pushing forward and trying her best to move on positively; especially with trying to find Marcy, her third and final friend sent to Amphibia.

204 - “Quarreler's Pass” + “Toadcatcher”

As I said, the Hop Pop/Anne B Plot in "Quarreler's Pass" where Hop Pop tries to fill the awkward silence by asking Anne if she has a boyfriend is very telling of their relationship. But what I find interesting is as soon as the episode ends with Hop Pop saying, "Now we can talk about Anne's boyfriend again." And he gets shoved off the cliff. We immediately go to Sasha. We could have had any other episode with Sasha, but why the one immediately after discussing Anne's romantic life? We know the show likes to tie in plot threads through A and B episodes, so it's a possibility!

"Toadcatcher" is all about the Sashanne angst from Sasha's perspective. She tries to distract herself with training, but Grimes points to her that she's afraid their relationship will never be the same again. Sasha also reveals that she has been training to protect Grimes, the one person she can count on right now. After the fight with Yunan and making plans for storming Newtopia with a Toad Army, Sasha says, "It's not over between us. Not even close." Which just highlights their angst arc for the Season. We'll touch more on it in the B segments of 217 and 218.

206 - “Marcy at the Gates”

Here's the thing about this episode. We touch on Sasha and Marcy in the F-Wagon, and then we speak more on Marcy than Sasha. Something Anne says in the beginning with Sprig: "Look, Sasha and I might be going through a rough patch, but that doesn't mean I don't care about her." It shows Anne still cares about Sasha, and she wants to continue their relationship in a healthy way moving forward if possible. If not, then it's something she's willing to let go.

The rest of the episode is a Marcanne fancam people. So much love for Marcy, some suspicion of her from Sprig. But in the end, she's loved by all. If you don't love Marcy, you're a monster. A key reaction in this episode is wariness in the fandom: after Sasha, everyone was terrified and unsure who Marcy is and if she had a similar trait. But she’s amazing and a wonderful nerd.

Something I did find interesting in the Rebecca Rose interview that Matt Braly (and creator of The Owl House Dana Terrace) is that Braly said Marcy was the most important key to the whole show: if the audience don't love her in the first few minutes of her introduction, the entire show would collapse. What is so vital about Marcy that would cause the entire story to collapse? Is it the romance or the plot? Is it the overall arc or what?

207 - “Scavenger Hunt” + “The Plantars Check In”

Marcy and Anne episodes, with Anne feeling insecure about Marcy and Marcy feeling envious of Anne's social skills and befriending the people around her. It solidifies their dynamic and doubles down on Marcy being the cutest and greatest character of all time.

210A - “The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers”

This is a heavy episode for Sashannarcy. Although not seeing Sasha since "Toadcatcher" and we wouldn't be seeing her until "Barrel's Warhammer", this episode does good to remind the audience of Sasha's presences and lasting effect on the girls. Anne talks about Sasha as though she still wants them to be friends if possible to continue their relationship in a healthy way.

The episode does more so focus on Anne and Marcy in the sleepover, but Sasha's presence is still very strong, enough that you feel her presence looming over them. It's not healthy, but it's part of the healing process.

210B - “A Day at the Aquarium”

This is where alarms were set off about Andrias. His proposition for Marcy directly after she tells Anne to go with the Plantars back to Wartwood really does create a new dynamic. So far, it seemed as though Marcy really wanted to have her friend around her. She had no one from Earth until Anne came, and it seems as though she can't reveal informal secrets and insecurities to King Andrias or Lady Olivia. It is a real victory to have Anne go with the Plantars to Wartwood, but Marcy is left without her friend and Andrias takes advantage of that. It's still very unclear what his plans with her are, but that's just the other shoe waiting to drop.

214 - “The First Temple”

Marcy is wonderful. We see flashbacks through Anne's perspective as we see Marcy's issue of extreme hyper fixation not allowing her to pay attention to her surroundings. This was in "Marcy at the Gates", but it doubles down here. It even shows in the Temple where Marcy seems to be so into all the trials that she is unable to see the Plantars being squished, burned or smashed to pieces as a result.

I mentioned this as a comparison, but Marcy really does give up all her chances of recharging the Green gem just to save Anne and the Plantars. She gives up her hyper fixated goal just for them. Her extreme presence of empathy and care of Anne and the people who she may not have incredible emotional attachment to is what separates her from Sasha.

215A - “New Wartwood”

Directly after "The First Temple" with Marcanne development, absolutely no one saw this segment coming in hot as one of the gayest ones yet. It is an Anne and Marcy episode with a slight emphasis on Mayor Toadstool. I think I would have seen this episode as solidifying Anne and Marcy's friendship if not for that blush in the beginning of the episode. Marcy geeks out about the swamp Wartwood is built on top of, and Anne blushes at her asking for more info she learned in the town. If Anne and Marcy were "just friends" I don't think Anne would have blushed at Marcy geeking out about frog stuff. The only other times we've seen her blush is when she's embarrassed, and it doesn't seem like that's her emotional state at that moment. You could just brush it off and say its an error, but there's no way that's an error. It went through production and post-production and was locked in! There's no way that's an error!!

216 - “Toad to Redemption” + “Maddie & Marcy”

Not a lot to say here, but this is important. These two episodes are directly after "Return to Wartwood" and a while after "The First Temple". Each segment features Anne and Marcy having their own adventures, and their stories can be separate from one another. In "Toad to Redemption", Anne is helping Mayor Toadstool remain the Mayor of Wartwood and not become the head of the Southern Toad Tower. In "Maddie and Marcy", Marcy is helping Maddie with reviving a pet to life. Both Anne and Marcy are key players this season, but they each play a supporting role to people they didn't really talk to or meet previously in these segments. This shows their independence from one another, and that my friends is the sign of a healthy relationship!

217 - “The Second Temple” + “Barrel’s Warhammer”

Buckle up folks, the Sashannarcy segment we've been waiting for.

"The Second Temple" has a focus of Marcy and Anne, but more specifically Anne since this Temple was her trial. Still not sure of the exact location of the temple, but it's fine. The trials show Anne and how she cares about the people around her, how she is the "heart" of the group, and her growth from Season 1 up until that point. The deep love she has, especially at the end where she gives up charging the gem midway to save her friends who are screaming.

"Barrel's Warhammer"... yikes. This segment is perhaps the biggest insight into Sasha's psyche we've seen. In comparison to Marcy who gives up what she hyper fixates upon for the people around her, Sasha is persistent and attaches her worth to her goal. She does not like failure or losing, and I think that shows in this segment. This shows her absolute fear of abandonment and desire for complete control (which we'll talk more about in "Battle of the Bands") over the situations around her, which causes for unsympathetic actions and negative repercussions of the people around her. This episode (very late into the season) just highlights Sasha's journey further and what she needs to work on. It's not Anne and Marcy for leaving her: it's her. Her tunnel vision is shoving them away.

218B - “The Third Temple” - This episode made me feel so down on shipping. Like it’s a great episode over all, but what it means for the Season 2 finale is... angsty. Sasha fake apologises to Anne in order for her and Grimes to enter Newtopia safely for the invasion. Just as much as she understands she is doing it, her slight look of conflicted feelings at the end of this segment really does showcase how even she is unsure if she should go on with this. Sasha really does not deserve Anne and Marcy, and I think she knows it too.

219 - “The Dinner” + “Battle of the Bands”

The biggest disconnect Sasha provides is that she believes after they get the Toads to invade Newtopia, she can get her friendship with Anne and Marcy back "under control". Which I believe is the friendship they had back when they were on Earth. Sasha didn't realise how much Marcy and, more specifically, Anne had changed in their time in Amphibia. Sasha is really the only person who hasn't changed nor made solid emotional attachments to anyone other than Grimes. Anne and Marcy grew, while Sasha didn't. "The Dinner" just proves that where she is unable to have her feelings of being other-ed in their relationship. I think Sasha's fear of missing out, and not being the centre of their relationship just plays into her "Barrel's Warhammer" insecurities and problems.

While "Battle of the Bands" shows her need to be in control of everything and everyone around her, even with her realising it's very tiring. She doesn't like mindless people (like Toadie) who obey her every command, she likes the challenge of controlling people into submission. Which is very bad, but I think by the end when she plays the song she realises it's okay to let loose with help from Toadie. Even at the end when the three of them lose to Grimes, she realises that it was more fun to play with Anne and Marcy with a silly, heartfelt song instead of making it perfect and winning with a controlled performance. By the end, Sasha is controlling them because she does have the plan to invade Newtopia with Grimes. But this is just the calm before the storm.

TL;DR - I don’t think a relationship can healthily start in the finale, especially with the Sasha betrays Anne and Marcy betrays Anne plots both coming to a head. There’s no way that Sasha is going to be an immediate better person and get into a relationship with Anne and/or Marcy. There is a logic to them starting the relationship, but I don’t think it’s gonna be this season. Instead, I could see perhaps a declaration of love or some kind of coming out scene happening where someone confesses their love to the other. I don’t come to this show for shipping, but there is a logical through line as a connection to the overall story which could culminate in romance.

Either way, lemme know your thoughts and ideas! No shipping wars in the comments please, but do tell what you think? Is it happening? Is it not? I have a few thoughts on the latest episode of The Spanish Princess and they aren’t good, maybe I might squeeze in a few things I found likeable/bearable to appear more nutural, I guess, but no promises.

1) Bessie Blount

They really done her dirty this week and it’s pretty obvious that Fraham have done next to no research, except for a few wiki searches. Henry and Bessie had a long term relationship, it wasn’t a quick tumble between the sheets while Katherine was pregnant, they actually were together for at the minimum six years. I for one, think their affair went on during the beginnings of Bessie’s first marriage and believe that Elizabeth Tailboys might have been Henry’s daughter as she was born a few months after the birth of Henry Fitzroy. After Bessie was married off, Henry sent her gifts and an allowance of £200 a year for the rest of her life and stood up for her by creating a new act of parliament, which would allow Bessie an unusual degree of power, when her in-laws tried to take over Bessie’s first husband’s estates, soon into her marriage. Also, the estates ended up being put in Bessie’s own name rather than her husband’s, which made her almost like an heiress and allowed her to be a prominent member in the Tailboys family.

Henry would never have thrown Bessie into the streets to make a living if she had given him a daughter instead, he cared for her too much and on top of that, it wasn’t her job to provide him with an heir, she was his mistress not his queen. Also, if I might be so bold, I would say that out of all the women in his life, Bessie was probably one of the few that he treated with respect.

The last five minutes of the episode was ridiculous, first off, Bessie was in Essex when she gave birth to Henry Fitzroy and Katherine was not in residence.

2) Anne Boleyn

The horrible yellow dress is gone and in its place is a teal coloured one, which even though is still too plain for our fashion icon, is pretty enough, but since the costume designer said that she was going for symbolism in the costumes, I expected green as in “greensleeves”.

Also, I have this theory (maybe two) that the reason Anne is so likeable in this series is because either, she’s going to go the route of Bessie Blount and befriend Katherine and have it be a big betrayal like it was when Katherine learned about Bessie, even though we can’t really blame teenage girls for being at the mercy of the king. This might be a stretch, but I don’t know if we will see Anne go full queen bitch mode in this, EF has stated that Anne was overrated, so what if they just made her this nice, simple girl and the legend that we know today was just people making up stories because they couldn’t understand how this sweet little thing managed to capture the king’s attention, does that make sense? They could also just go the cliche route and make her into a nasty cow, which given how horrible Katherine is in this season, I’m actually looking forward to seeing someone call this woman out (Bessie done it this episode, just need to hear it from Lina and Anne).

3) Baby Mary

I can’t believe they are still going this route of having Katherine literally detest her child, the only concern she had for Mary was when Bessie - who is very pregnant - went to sit down for a minute or two and Katherine decided to ridicule her for not taking care of her daughter, when Bessie has shown more affection for Mary than Katherine has ever done at this point. Katherine has neglected Mary since the moment she was born, even Henry has shown more concern for his daughter than Katherine has done and for the love of all that’s holy, can they stop having Katherine refer to Mary as useless.

The real Katherine loved her daughter with every fibre of her being, especially when she realised that Mary would be her only child. Also, Katherine took a great interest in Mary’s education to the point that she commissioned a book be written on the education of little girls.

4) Lina de Cardonnes

I can’t believe we didn’t even get an apology from Katherine after the way she spoke to Lina and that Lina is in the palace like nothing ever happened.

Also, I have said before and I’ll say it again, I think that Lina is going to be the one to reveal that Katherine and Arthur consummated their marriage. I feel like she’s just going to have enough of Katherine speaking down to her and did you not see the way she looked at Katherine when Katherine stole baby Henry. I just want Lina to be happy, I think she’s going to confess and then run off back to Spain with Oviedo and their twins.

The only thing I was disappointed in was that Lina didn’t stick up for Bessie and say that she was at the mercy of the king and who was she to say no to him, but she just allowed Katherine to say that she wished Bessie and her unborn child dead without even a look of shock was puzzling, I thought Bessie was Lina’s friend.

5) Katherine of Aragon

There is too much to say on Katherine. She is so unlikable and just when I think she can’t get any worse, she steals a baby from their mother and yes you could argue that Bessie would get her baby back, but Katherine had no right to take him, especially since a baby needs to have immediate skin to skin contact with their mother in order to create a bond and the fact that Bessie was begging to hold her baby made it even crueler.

The real Katherine also wouldn’t have confronted Bessie or even ridiculed her like that (at least not in public), she was more classier than the show version.

Katherine also wouldn’t have been wondering Hampton Court in a nightgown that would be the equivalent of me wondering the street in my underwear and would have caused the court to gossip if she was to be found talking with Buckingham in that state of dress.

Finally, I’m not as clued up on Katherine of Aragon as I am on other queens, but something tells me she wasn’t a trained midwife. I don’t even think the show version actually looked to see what she was doing before she did what she did with that knife. Also, having Katherine give little Henry to Henry was just bizarre that is not her son and although the real Katherine wouldn’t have wished harm on the baby, I doubt she would have wanted to hold him.

This is just a few of my thoughts and my opinions on Katherine are the show version and not the real Katherine. I don’t know what Fraham’s ultimate goal is for this series because Katherine is not sympathetic in the least.
