I wanted to know if anyone has interest to make a Alduin x Riliane lucifen d'autriche fanfiction,
I already made a Alduin x Original Katarina Claes fanfiction and a Riliane x Dragon fanfiction,
I made the Riliane x Dragon fanfiction 15 years ago when I first heard Daughter of Evil and did not know about Clarith so I had a bit of a wrong view on Kyle's and Michael's "relationship" if you can call it that
That here is my Riliane x Dragon fanfiction if someone is interested I also give you a link to my Katarina x Alduin story just in case
So this two stories maybe not the best you have ever read but I already said that's why I want to know if anyone else where interested in writing that

Andrius, Venti, and Dvalin: General HCs [+ unhinged Venti]
Oh no, not strange at all! I love seeing the art people have done on human Dvalin and Andrius. I’m not entirely sure if you wanted a Venti x Dvalin x Andrius pairing but I’m going to assume so. But just in case, I added a few points of all 4 of your hanging out. How my desk is positioned with my window, the sun is shining directly into my eyes so I have to type in this weird position unless I want my eyeballs to melt.
Also, if any of this is wrong just look away. This took forever because holy crap there is so much lore on these 3. Not sure what exactly you had in mind so I made some general/friendship HCs
Alright, today’s appreciations post is for maagdalen. Super lovely person with some lovely emotes. Oh and your english is really good btw^^ and ty for chatting with me 💕💕💕

Andrius, Venti, and Dvalin: General HCs
Andrius
Andrius, also known as Lupus Boreas, was tasked with protecting the nation of Mondstadt under the request of Barbatos. He had a noble soul and mainly stays in the area of Wolvendom. He was strict, to the point, and never really partakes in whatever “foolish” activities Venti or Dvain get themselves into. But it’s all just a front because as soon as one of them get’s hurt or is in danger, his fangs and teeth are out. Even if it’s a cute hydro slime. Then he’ll take them by the scruff of their neck back to Wolvendom to get their wounds checked. On Venti it works, but with Dvalin’s dragon form. It’s amusing to see a pouting dragon getting dragged off by a wolf that wasn’t even double his size.
Not many Mondstadt citizen’s know but Andrius isn’t actually a wolf. He chooses to take the form of a wolf and should any of the wolves in Wolvendom be threaten, that’s the form he will appear in. But in truth, it was because Venti suggested it. If he was going to stay in Wolvendom and protect wolves then it made sense that his form would be the big bad wolf. Really Andrius just believes that Venti has a secret vendetta against cats and Andrius wouldn’t talk to Venti if he suggested that he take the form a dog.
There is a bit of discourse between Andrius and Venti due to Venti’s human-like appearance since Andrius views human society as a disappointment. Only accepting abandoned infants that have no where to go. But he does respect Barbatos and helped in his efforts to rebuild Mondstadt and protect it as one of the Four Winds.
While he doesn’t completely enjoy Venti’s extravagant personality he’s glad that Barbatos adopted the name and is living his life in freedom. Despite being the anemo archon, he chooses to live as Venti. Having fun in taverns and doing what he loves.
Venti
Venti always brings stories and sings for the two whenever he decides that it’s been too long since he’s seen his friends. He usually brings a bottle of wine even if he’s the only one that ever drinks - which is probably why he brings wine - which leads to Andrius scolding Venti to try and act civilized when he gets drunk and saying “No Dvalin, you cannot have some. The last time we let you drink you cried so much that Springvale still has a waterfall.”
It’s amusing to hear that after the war, the biggest problem Venti has right now is getting constantly ID checked. Dvalin takes this quite literally, since he still isn’t fully aware of taverns rules and regulations, that it takes both Venti and Andrius to hold him down before another Stormterror incident happens.
Venti has always been bold, never afraid to say anything, which was a trait that Dvalin and Andrius liked about the anemo archon. It was what made him the archon of freedom but sometimes Venti is a bit too bold and pretends to play fetch with Andrius wolf form. He is not amused. When he tries it with Dvalin, Dvalin will participate but he get’s confused and ends up just sitting beside Venti when the archon throws the stick. Which causes Venti to make a walk of shame to get the stick back.
When Venti acts as the Wind Archon it’s always a bit of whiplash when he talks in his philosophical state that it reminds Dvalin and Andrius that despite his childlike appearance and attitude, he was still the anemo archon. But it get quickly covered up when he says it’s time to switch back to Venti time.
It’s hard for them all to meet up in the present day. Dvalin stays in his domain while Andrius stays in Wolvendorm, all alone in their own domain. Venti prefers lively places than those quiet and solitude areas so he’s either in the City of Freedom or under the Windrise tree. But on occasions where he feels lonely he’ll swing by Dvalin’s lair and use the winds to carry their conversation to Andrius. Just so he isn’t left out.
If anyone asks where the ballads that Venti sings that are about a strict wolf and a nervous dragon, he’ll just say it was a passing tune he made up.
Dvalin
Dvalin, same as Andrius, lost his faith in humanity and the city of Mondstadt. He was released as his role as one of the four winds but continued to remain in Mondstadt. Similarly to Andrius he is distrustful around humans after being betrayed by them, chose to avoids human contact but he tries to adopt a more friendly side when Venti visits him.
Dvalin cares about Venti more and isn’t as standoffish in showing that he appreciates Venti compared to Andrius. Venti explained to him and showed him what freedom truly was he felt connected with someone for the first time. He did want to be understood and loved by the humans for who he was and what he wanted to protect. But that’s still a long road ahead.
He’s a curious but clumsy dragon. He’s pure of heart and steadfast in his goals which Venti is full-heartily cheering him on while Andrius disagrees but allows Dvalin to continue on this own path. Even if Andrius is on the other side of Mondstadt, he still tries to keep an eye out for Dvalin should the Abyss Order ever try and take his friend under their control.
However, due to how almost naïve the dragon is, he get’s into rather...interesting situations. While Andrius groans and Venti loses his absolute shit when Dvalin, still in his dragon form, lands and tries to observe the wolves. He only hides behind a thin tree that barely covers even 2% of his entire body and ends up scaring the wolves who run back to Andrius for safety. It takes a lot of consoling from Venti that the wolves didn’t like him, they were just scared and perhaps he should adopt a smaller form?
He’s still a bit sick from the aftermath of the Abyss Order and the poison of Durin so he can’t travel as far as he would like so Venti keeps him company. Telling him what the citizens of Mondstadt have been up to and playing music with his lyre.
---
I love writing Venti, he’s so much fun. :) I say this but I live for Venti who hides behind this happy persona but is actually unhinged or deluded. I have many thoughts on this but I didn’t want to break the pace of the fic (plus this is getting pretty long anyways). So feel free to skip the rest of this if that makes you uncomfortable. I’m just spit balling right now.
But nervous and shy dragon Dvalin plus mother hen Andrius is canon. You cannot convince me otherwise.
This week has just turned into “what will we awaken today?” In other news, Lisa and Diluc. But it might be a bit late since this took some time to finish. In extra news, solo leveling just updated. Oh and jjk is (hopefully) getting a new episode tmr^^
---
Barbatos
Andrius and Dvalin trust Venti to fulfill his archon duties should anything ever happen to Mondstadt. The same way Venti trusts the Four Winds will protect Mondstadt should anything dangerous arise. With the carefree nature of Venti making a sudden appearance after Barbatos’s year long nap, they both got a bit too comfortable with this happy-go-lucky version of their archon.
That is until Venti brings a fourth person into their trio. Someone who knew how to play the lyre and wished to fly and see the birds. Andrius and Dvalin share a quick look of anxious tension and it’s confirmed when Venti makes a small slip of the tongue and calls you by a certain boy’s name. They aren’t sure what to do or if Venti was starting to regress back into Barbatos and what that could mean for this innocent traveler.
“Barbatos defeated the previous ruler and left the city to rest because he didn’t want to become the same tyrant. But an archon is still an archon with responsibilities. Those responsibilities can be warped to the point that they believe they are helping and guiding their followers, but are actually trapping them in their cage. He is an archon that believes in freedom so his cage is just a bit bigger. Big enough that you can’t see the walls. Be careful traveler.”
Venti goes to greet you the next day you see him but his words seem to fade away when he approach's you. He asks if you’ve been talking to Andrius lately. You nod and ask how he knows. He says that you just spell like wolfhooks and that you shouldn’t worry about anything.
The next day Andrius apologizes to you about his words and that he was mistaken. There was nothing to worry about and to trust Venti. You can see Dvalin a bit off to the side looking away nervously and a bit guilty.
Venti always makes sure that Andrius and Dvalin keep an eye on you, especially Dvalin when you’re in stormterror land. It was a pretty dangerous landscape to trek through. As for Andrius, he doesn’t want you to get hurt during your weekly practice fights. It wouldn’t do you any good if you got hurt and couldn’t explore this vast world with him.

Friendship: Seto Kaiba x Reader Chapter 1
"There we go. The last card. Balance it on the very top," I whispered, careful not to disturb the fragile card tower. Tristan and I had spent over an hour on it, and it made me proud.
Tristan moved carefully, and balanced the card on top. I held my breath, scared to breathe. Fifty one cards were used to build the tower, and Tristan held the last one in his hands. He moved away slowly, and we let out a sigh of relief.
"Hey, Mokuba is here!" Joey shouted, startling everyone. He slammed his hands on the table, causing the card tower to collapse on itself. Nothing was left standing, no evidence of the masterpiece that had once stood tall.
"Joey!!" Tristan and I yelled at him. Tristan got up and chased him, while I sat there and mourned our lost work. "Forever in our hearts, card tower," I said solemnly, my hand over my heart, "rest in peace."
The once calm living room of the Mutou house had become chaotic. Joey was running for his life with Tristan on his tail, Téa and Yugi were at the door, welcoming Mokuba, and I was sitting on the couch, pillow in hand, ready to avenge my child.
Tristan quickly caught onto my plan and drove Joey towards me, where he got a face full of pillow. The force of my swing caused him to fall on the hard floor, where he groaned and asked for mercy. I smiled, threw the pillow back on the couch, and began to collect the cards that were scattered on the ground.
Yugi and Téa entered the room, followed by Mokuba. "(y/n), this is Mokuba, Mokuba, this is (y/n)," Yugi said, unphased by Joey's downfall.
I stood up and placed the sloppy pile of cards on the table. "Nice to meet you, Mokuba," I said, smiling. The raven haired boy smiled back at me, "Likewise, (y/n). Hey, Joey, are you ok? That looked like it hurt," he asked, looking and sounding genuinely concerned.
"I'm good, don't worry Mokuba. I'm glad you could make it," Joey said, reassuring. He stood up and rubbed his back. "So, what are we doing now? Should we play a round of duel monsters?"
"Man, Joey. What is with you and that game? You're not even that good at it," I said, doing my best to hide my smile. Joey looked at me, aghast. "I am good at it! And what about Yugi? He plays too!"
"Yeah, but he's actually good at the game," I pointed out with an even voice, before Joey's look of pure offense made me burst out laughing.
"(y/n), please stop teasing Joey like that. You know how he gets," Yugi sighed, probably wondering why I acted like such a child.
I couldn't help it, it was too easy to tease Joey. It was entertaining to watch him get so worked up, and what can I say, I'm a sucker for free entertainment.
"It's fine, Yugi. Besides, she's probably just jealous that a noob like her wouldn't be able to beat a pro like me," Joey said, obviously confident in his skills.
I kept my cool and looked him square in the eyes. "Is that so? Care to make a wager, then?" I challenged, knowing he wouldn't back down.
"If you win, I will buy you lunch every day for a week. If I win, then you-" I paused for dramatic effect "-have to give me a piggyback ride to school everyday for a week."
Joey was unaffected by my statement.
"It's a deal. Be ready to buy me a three course lunch tomorrow!" he grinned, obviously motivated by the mention of free food.
"Let's duel!" we shouted in unison.
~time skip to about the end of the duel~
This is it, I thought to myself, gritting my teeth. All of my most powerful dragons are in the graveyard. If I can just draw my secret weapon....
I drew a card and screamed, making Joey jump.
"What is your issue?!" he exclaimed, looking unnerved by my sudden outburst.
"I can't believe how much food I'm going to have to buy! This is hopeless, maybe I should just quit." I looked at my hand and did my best to ignore the fact that I drew my winning card. Making Joey confident in his victory was the key to my victory. My plan worked, based off of his smug smile. Yugi, however, looked suspicious.
"Eh, don't worry (y/n). Since I'm so generous, I'll only make you buy me one course meals," he said, drooling over the thought of food.
"Gee, thanks, Joey. Well, to get this over with, I guess I'll just put this little guy in attack mode." I put Decoy Dragon face up in attack mode.
Joey drew a card. He smiled cockily. "Ok, now I attack with my Red Eyes!"
"Joey, wait!" Yugi yelled, but it was too late. My card's effect had already been activated.
"Not so fast, Joey! You activated Decoy Dragon's effect! Now I can special summon a dragon with seven or more stars from my graveyard" -I picked up Tyrant Dragon- "and I choose this card! Since it has to have a dragon tribute when special summoned from the graveyard, I will tribute Decoy Dragon." I cackled, knowing I would win. "Now, your Red Eyes is destroyed, and you lose two hundred life points!"
Joey stood there, dumbfounded. He looked at his cards. "I end my turn," he gulped.
"Yay!" I drew a card. "Now I attack your life points directly and win! Who's a noob now, Wheeler?!" I exclaimed, satisfied with my successful strategy.
"Cheer up, Joey. It won't be so bad," Téa said, patting Joey's shoulder.
"Wow, (y/n), is your deck all dragon monsters?" Mokuba asked, intrigued.
"Almost."
"My big brother would like this deck! It's just missing the blue eyes white dragon!" Mokuba said, excited.
"That's cool. You have a brother?" I asked, interested. I didn't know he had siblings. His brother must be as sweet as he is.
"Yeah, I could introduce you to him tomorrow if you'd like!" Mokuba seemed very excited. A little too excited.
"Sounds good!" I said, smiling.

love/hate songs
Since 8tracks is messed up and playmoss is gonna disappear and Spotify doesn't have many songs, I’m posting some of my playlists here. This is a list of songs about love/hate relationships for pairings. Enemies to lovers, tsundere personalities, hero/villain couplings, opposites attract, loving someone you know you shouldn't. This list is several years old so the songs are older and kinda ‘scene.’
Major trigger warnings for the lyrics of these songs. Some songs have violent lyrics. This playlist romanticizes conflict.

Star Trek Villains Who Actually Had a Point
https://ift.tt/3t8D3MQ
This article contains spoilers for various parts of the Star Trek franchise.
Last fall, airing just a few weeks apart, both Star Trek and Star Wars debuted season premieres of new streaming TV episodes in which the heroes of each show had to fight a giant, legless worm-monster. In Star Trek: Discovery’s “That Hope Is You Part 1,” it was the deadly Tranceworm, while The Mandalorian’s “Chapter 9: The Marshall” had the murderous Krayt Dragon. The differences between the Final Frontier and the Faraway Galaxy could not have been made clearer by these dueling beasts: in Mando, the plot involved killing the monster by blowing up its guts from the inside, while in Disco, Book taught Michael Burnham how to make friends with it.
The Trek universe deals with the concept of evil a little differently than many of its famous genre competitors. There is no Lex Luthor of the Federation. Palpatine doesn’t haunt the planet Vulcan. The Klingons have no concept of “the devil.” (At least in The Original Series.) This isn’t to say Trek doesn’t have some very memorable Big Bads, it’s just that most of the time those villains tend to have some kind of sympathetic backstory. Even in the J.J. Abrams films!
So, with that in mind, here’s a look at seven Star Trek villains who maybe weren’t all bad, and kind of, even in a twisted way, had a point…
Harry Mudd
In Star Trek: The Original Series, Harry Mudd was presented as a straight-up con-man, a dude who seemed to be okay with profiting from prostitution (in “Mudd’s Women”) and was also down with marooning the entire crew of the Enterprise on a random planet (in “I, Mudd”). He’s not a good person. Not even close. But, he does make a pretty could case against Starfleet’s lack of planning. In the Discovery episode “Choose Your Pain,” Mudd accuses Starfleet of starting the war with the Klingons, and, as a result, putting the larger population of the galaxy at risk. “I sure as hell understand why the Klingons pushed back,” Mudd tells Ash Tyler. “Starfleet arrogance. Have you ever bothered to look out of your spaceships down at the little guys below? If you had, you’d realize that there’s a lot more of us down there than there are you up here, and we’re sick and tired of getting caught in your crossfire.”
Seska
At a glance, Seska seems pretty irredeemable. She joins the idealistic Maquis but is secretly a Cardassian spy. Once in the Delta Quadrant, she tries to screw Voyager as much as possible, mostly by hooking up with the Kazon. That said, Seska is also someone caught up in hopelessly sexist, male-dominated power structures and does what she has to do to gain freedom and power. The Cardassian military isn’t exactly enlightened nor kind, so the fact that Seska was recruited into the Obsidian Order in the first place certainly explains her deceptive conditioning. You could argue that Seska could have become a better person once she had Captain Janeway as an ally, but, the truth is, she was still a spy caught behind enemy lines, but suddenly without a government to report back to. So, Seska did what she had to do to survive, even lying to Chakotay about having his child. The thing is, again, outside of Starfleet, Seska is at the mercy of the sexist machinations of the Kazon, so again, she’s kind of using all the tools at her disposal to gain freedom. Had Voyager not gone to the Delta Quadrant, and Seska’s villainy may have been more clear-cut. But, once the reason for her espionage becomes moot, her situation gets more desperate, and, on some level, more understandable.
Charlie Evans
In The Original Series, Kirk loves telling humans with god-like powers where to shove it. In “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” he phasers Gary Mitchell and buries him under a rock. But, in “Charlie X,” when teenager Charlie Evans also gets psionic powers, Kirk does a less-than-a-great job of being a good role model. For most of the episode, Kirk tries to avoid become Charlies’ surrogate parent, and when he does try, it results in an embarrassing overly macho wrestling match featuring those famous pink tights.

Why Star Trek Needs More Characters Like Captain Lorca
By Lacy Baugher
Charlie was a deeply troubled human being, and there was no justification for him harassing the crew and Janice Rand in specific. But, angry, kids like Charlie have to be helped before it gets to this point. Kirk mostly tried to dodge the adult responsibility of teaching Charlie the ropes, and only when some friendly aliens arrived, did everyone breathe a sigh of relief. But, don’t get it twisted, those aliens are basically just social workers, doing the hard work Starfleet is incapable of.
The Borg Queen
Because the origin of the Borg Queen has dubious canonical origins, all we were told in Voyager is that she was assimilated as a child, just like Seven of Nine. As Hugh and Jean-Luc discuss in the Picard episode “The Impossible Box,” basically, everyone assimilated by the Borg, is, on some level, a victim. The Queen was never presented this way in either First Contact or Voyager, but, at one point, writers Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens had pitched a story for Enterprise which would have featured Alice Krige as a Starfleet medical technician who made contact with the Borg.
Because both Alice Krige and Susanna Thompson played the Borg Queen, it’s possible the backstories of each Queen is different and that maybe they aren’t the same character. Either way, assuming the Borg Queen retains some level of autonomy relative to other drones (likely?) then she’s pretty much making the best of a bad situation. In fact, at the point at which you concede the Borg are unstoppable, the Queen’s desire to let Picard retain some degree of his independence as Locutus could scan as a kind of mercy. The Borg Queen actually thinks she and the Borg are making things simpler for everyone. And with both Data and Picard, she tried to make that transition easier and, in her own perverse way, fun too.
Ossyra
Yes, we saw Ossyra feed her nephew to a Trance worm, and we also saw her try to kill literally everyone on the USS Discovery, including Michael Burnham. However, in the middle of all of that, Ossyra did try to actively make peace between the Emerald Chain and the Federation. And, most tellingly, it was her idea. Ossyra also pointed out one of the most hypocritical things about the United Federation of Planets: the fact that Starfleet and its government rely on capitalism without actively acknowledging it. Essentially, Ossyra was saying that the ideals of the Federation are great, but the Federation has all kinds of dirty little secrets it doesn’t want to talk about. In her meeting with Admiral Vance, pretty much everything she said about the Federation was true—and her treaty proposal was fair.

Why Star Trek: Discovery Needed to Write Out Its Klingons
By Lacy Baugher
The only snag: she wouldn’t turn herself over as a war criminal. Considering the fact that the Federation made Mirror Georgiou into a Section 31 agent, despite her war crimes in another universe, this also seems hypocritical. Why not just do the same thing with Ossyra? Tell everyone she’s going to prison for war crimes, but make her a Section 31 agent instead? Missed opportunity!
Khan
Khan was genetically engineered by wacko-a-doodle scientists at the end of the 21st Century. At some point on Earth, he became a “prince” with “power over millions.” But, as Kirk notes in “Space Seed,” there were “no massacres” under Khan’s rule, and described him as the “best of the tyrants.” Kirk’s take on Khan in “Space Seed” is basically that Khan was an ethical megalomaniac. Most of what we see in “Space Seed” backs this up. Khan doesn’t actually want to kill the crew, and stops short of doing it when he thinks he can coerce them instead. His only focus is to gain freedom for himself and his exiled fellow-Augments. In the Kelvin Universe timeline, Khan’s motivations are similar. Into Darkness shows us a version of Khan who, again, is only cooperating with Section 31 because he wants freedom for his people. Sure, he’ll crush some skulls and crash some starships to get to that point, but in his dueling origin stories, Khan is, in both cases interested in freedom for his people, who, are by any definition, totally persecuted by the Federation.
Khan is still a criminal in any century. But, we only really think of him as a villain because he goes insane in between the “Space Seed” and The Wrath of Khan. The Khan of The Wrath is not the same person we met in “Space Seed.” As he tells Chekov, “Admiral Kirk never bothered to check on our progress.” Had Kirk sent a Starfleet ship to drop in on Khan and his “family” every once in awhile this whole thing could have been avoided. In the prime timeline, Khan goes nuts because Ceti Alpha VI explodes and nobody cares. In the Kelvin timeline, Admiral Marcus blackmails him. Considering that Khan is Star Trek’s most famous villain, it’s fascinating that there are a million different ways you can imagine him never getting as bad as he became. In “Space Seed,” he and Kirk basically part as friends.
Q
In “Encounter at Farpoint,” Q accuses humanity of being “a savage child race.” And walks Jean-Luc Picard through the various atrocities committed by humanity, through the 21st Century. Picard kind of shrugs his shoulders and says, “we are what we are and we’re doing the best that we can.” When we talk about the philosophy of Star Trek, we tend to give more weight to Picard’s argument: the idea that by the 24th century, humanity has become much better, in general than it is now. But, the other side of the argument; that there’s a history of unspeakable violence and cruelty baked into the existence of humanity, is given less weight. We don’t really listen to Q when he’s putting humanity on trial, because we can’t see his point of view.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
But, because Q wasn’t a one-off character, and because he said “the trial never ends” in the TNG finale, he’s actually not really a villain at all. Q exists post-morality, as we can imagine it. His notions of ethics are far more complex (or less complex) than we can perceive. Q is one of those great Star Trek characters who is actually beyond reproach simply because we have no frame of reference for his experiences or point of view. In Voyager, we also learned that even among other members of the Q Continuum, Q was kinder, with a more humanitarian approach to what he might call “lesser” lifeforms. If Q is villainous, it’s because of our definitions of villainy. Of every Star Trek antagonist, Q is the best one, for the simple fact that he’s not a a villain at all.
Which Star Trek villains do you think had a point? Let us know in the comments below.

147: Are you androgynous? No.
148: Favorite physical thing about yourself: My eye color.
149: Favorite thing about your personality: I'm more willing to let people go if they make my life worse. I used to be terrible at that.
150: Name three people you would like to talk to right now in person. My Mom, Scooter, Matt Mercer.. (shh)
151: If you could go back into time and live in one era, which would you choose? ANY ERA WITH KNIGHTS AND KINGDOMS AND WEEEEEEE............ (I like a lot of oldie based shows.)
152: Do you like BuzzFeed? Eh.
153: How did you meet your spouse/girlfriend/boyfriend/partner? [If you have one.] MapleStory. Not even remotely kidding.
154: Do you like to kiss others’ foreheads or hands for platonic reasons? Yes. I'm a very touchy person if I trust the person. I prefer hugs on most though. Forehead is pretty sentimental to me.
155: Do you like to play with others’ hair? Sometimes, yeah.
156: What embarrasses you? My teeth, my weight, a lot of things.
157: Something that makes you nervous/anxious: People. Crowds. Planes. Heights. New Doctors.
158: Biggest lie you have ever told: If it's the biggest lie I've ever told, do you think I'm going to out myself on social media?
159: How many people are you following? Fuck if I know... I'm too lazy to check.
160: How many posts do you have on your blog(s)? See #159
161: How many drafts do you have on your blog(s)? See #159
162: How many likes do you have on your blog(s)? See #159
163: Last time you cried and why: It's been over a lot of things. My health, my families health, my cat, hurting myself, etc.
164: Do you have long or short hair? Medium?
165: Longest your hair has ever been: Just below my shoulders.
166: Why do you like, dislike, or have neutral feelings about religion? Neutral mostly, because you can't prove or disprove a god exists. Just because you haven't seen something does that mean it's not there? Also, just because you believe in something, does it mean that it exists really? I'm agnostic. Though Wicca seems like a more reasonable religion in most aspects (I've dabbled in research, I hope that doesn't offend anyone.)
167: Do you really care how the universe and world was created? Not really. I just care if it's gonna blow up before I die.
168: Do you like to wear makeup? Like? Not usually, it just helps me feel a little better sometimes.
169: Can you stand on your hands or head for more than thirty seconds? Nope.
170: Did you answer the questions you were asked truthfully? As much as I could.

Now take Han Solo. The dude was presented as a smuggler looking for profit. Soon we learn that he is in debt to a very dangeourous gangster who has put a bounty on his head. What does this man do in the end of the movie? He could have gone to Jabba, paid his debt and live without a target on his back. Instead he chooses to come back and help Luke destroy the Death Star. (To be continued)
We are in Empire. He still got the bounty on his back and wans to settle it. What does he do? He went throught a blizzard in the middle of an ice planet to rescue his best friend. He risked his life to save Luke. With the Empire attackin Hoth… does he leave the base? He stays until he is sure that Leia leave the planet safely. He refuses to run even when Leia gave him permission to do it. (To be continued)
We jump to Return. Jabbae is dead. He is free of his debt. He can finally live in peace. He goes back to the rebellion and chooses to personally lead a suicide mission so the Empire can finally be defeated? He even let his firends to choose on their own terms to go with him on that mission. At the end of the movie he tells the woman he loves that he won´t stand in her way to happiness with Luke. (To be continued)
Jump to Force. He reappears again and chooses to help our runaway trio to find the Resistance and get BB8 map to safety. When the First Order starts it´s destructive rampage he chooses to help the rebellion, put it´s personal input on how to destroy the Starkiller (he raises the Resistance morale) and volunteers to infiltrate and put it´s shields down and rescue Rey. Finally he confronts his own son and tries to bring him back from the Dark Side. (To be continued)
What does this means? That Han Solo narrative is consistent. They presents us the character as the good guy deep down and he acts like the good guy deep down. Daenerys it´s a total failure as a character. She is presented as the character who will bring a new era to the world. But so far her Mereen and Westeros arcs haven´t show us any of that supposed change. Instead we have seen her creating mess after mess.
The visual narrative of season 4 and 6 suggests that Daenery’s wants to be worshipped in whole level ahead of a queen and more in a godlike manner. I’m speaking of the mysa moment and when she burned the dosh-khaleen temple. Plenty of critics of the problematic of such narrative have been written.
The slaves of slave’s bay submitted to mysa. The dothraki submitted to the stallion who mounts the world. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she is expecting the westerosi to submit to the Dragon. Olenna stroked her ego by telling her to be one. Then you got her whole speech full of self entitlement to Jon in their first meeting. Just think Jon talking that way to the wildlings in Hard home.
I definitely see your point in Han being an anti-Daenerys, but it should be noted that Han’s background and motivations are nothing like Dany’s. He’s never had some sort of legacy pressed upon him, or been wrapped up in carefully planned mystical shenanigans, nor did he aspire to power and/or authority, ever. In fact, he seemed to downright resent the responsibility that came with having a command rank among the rebels.
There’s of course nothing wrong with wanting power, of course. I’ve always despised the notion of “Not wanting power is the reason X person should be the one to have it!” It’s fucking gross and stupid. It’s a mentality that ignores the fact that power = responsibility and tries to discourage ambition from people by framing “knowing one’s place” as a virtue and aspirations as a vice. The person who doesn’t want power is a person who has not prepared for it. Reluctant Kings have, historically, tended to be as disastrous as any ruthless tyrant (and, on top of the failures of their own reign, often pave the way for said ruthless tyrants to take power). The problem isn’t wanting power. It’s clear that Leia is personally ambitious and very comfortable with authority and power. Wanting power is not the problem, it’s not understanding power as, ultimately, responsibility that’s the issue. That’s what Davos spent four seasons telling Stannis.
Daenerys, after personally losing a dragon, is now claiming she’s coming North to “save it, not conquer it”, but it’s very, very clear that she expects those things to go hand in hand and that saving it is secondary to taking the throne. Otherwise, she would have said to Hell with the ceasefire with Cersei and just gone North. She would not have ever even thought to fly to Winterfell instead of approach them like an ally. And it took a) developing an infatuation for Jon, b) him risking his life with only a dozen men to get her a wight for HER ceasefire, c) a promised armistice with Cersei, d) seeing the enemy with her own eyes and e) losing her “child” to agree to point her armies at the ARMY OF MONSTERS COMING TO KILL EVERYONE, INCLUDING HER AND HER PEOPLE.
She left Meereen a literal flaming shitpile with one criminal without an army to handle things there as she sailed to take her throne. She claimed that she would rule in Meereen to learn to be a leader, but Meereen, despite having a clear and present need and threat facing it, was really just a means for her to take her prize. Then she stopped caring about “learning” when it got really, really hard and she decided she didn’t care to do any followup after setting everything on fire because that big, shiny throne she’s never even seen is waiting for her in the West and is more appealing than making sure she’s preserved her “liberation” of millions of former slaves, which turns out to be much harder than she thought and a problem that isn’t solved with fire. And she takes literally EVERYTHING, all her means of security/preservation with her to Westeros without even bothering to check if MAAAYBE there might be some OTHER major powers wishing to restore slavery to the three cities.
She can believe in a prophecy that says SHE is the ultra-special hero of legend, but when someone shows up telling her of inconvenient monsters threatening to destroy everyone and everything, complete with witnesses and evidence of this, suddenly she’s a skeptic of the devastating oncoming threat because dealing with it means a) spending time and resources on something OTHER than the shiny throne she’s never actually seen and b) involves her acknowledging and tolerating someone with a title and rank equal to her own, and WE CAN’T HAVE THAT! (Regardless of what the actual people might think about that).
She only acknowledges what Jon said about his people AFTER he gave her what she wanted, and took it at face value when he told her that it wouldn’t matter after all because of course they’ll see she’s too wonderful to deny. That should tell you everything you need to know about how she views people, responsibility, and power. Literally everything about the people of the North (which she has no interest in) will melt away for her and the power she wants.
She shows no concern for her allies once they are no longer useful to her. She accused Jon of “pride” for not bending the knee after he downright told her his PEOPLE wouldn’t accept her and held the survival of literally everyone in Westeros hostage over a title, ignoring the point about the actual wishes of the people, because it’s not really important to her. She doesn’t care that Jon tells her, point blank, that his people won’t accept a Southern ruler. She doesn’t even bother asking why that might be. She is ignorant, and willfully so, of everything that has happened in Westeros that doesn’t directly involve her, and she has a double standard about anything in Westeros that involves her but is inconvenient (see: “My father was bad but don’t judge me for it, meanwhile, you totally should have to live according to a vow your ancestor made under duress three hundred years ago.”)
She only intends to help after SHE loses something of HERS in a way that directly threatens her power (losing a dragon.) and even then it’s conditional. AND EVEN THEN she doesn’t spare a thought towards, “Hey, maybe someone should send a message to the Northerners that one of my dragons died right in front of a terrifying enemy who has the power to reanimate corpses.” Because she isn’t interested. If that ended up mattering in a way beyond “oh, woe is me, I lost my child”, that would be inconvenient. Daenerys wants to assume power without caring for the responsibilities that come with it.
This is basically Dany’s theme song:
youtube
(substitute the “Janet Janet Janet Janet!” With her stupid ass list of titles)
But instead, the soundtrack is playing this triumphant, heavenly choir:
youtube
And to me, that’s the ACTUAL problem with narrative the show is trying to sell us, rather than the writing itself, necessarily. Or, rather, Dany’s words and actions on paper. Those two clips are basically Reality vs Perception to me when it comes to Dany, but the show is trying to sell us on the Perception, and it’s becoming more and more blatant and overwhelming how much this. Does. Not. Work.
For me, it isn’t what the characters say/do itself that makes the story poor, so much as how it is framed. Han claims to be in it for himself, but his actions tell a different story. The presentation makes that clear and works with that. Then you have things like Fifty Shades of Grey. 50SoG wouldn’t be a problem if it was a story about a controlling, psychotic predator, but it’s supposed to be a genuine romance, not a horror story and/or cautionary tale.
Same problem with Daenerys in GOT. Sure, she claims to be an altruistic messiah figure who cares about doing good, but her actions are every bit as contradictory to her claims as Han’s are to his. Only, as Han proves, it’s not saying one thing and doing another that’s the problem. It’s how this is framed. The way she is portrayed operates as if her words are to be taken at face value. She burns Westeros’s last autumn harvest and triumphant music swells. She spews her hypocritical BS about Jon’s pride and is given the last word. Jon’s response isn’t to be all “Is this motherfucker serious?!” but to look all guilty and self-reflective, as if what she said had any merit to it and WASN’T just a delusional, oblivious, moronic heap of bullshit so big that they can smell it in Yi-Ti. Sort of like how Arya’s shitty behavior since season 1 is framed as “cool”, “empowering”, and “strong” and her “Most girls are idiots” line is framed as being clever and of course SO TRUE and isn’t Arya just so great for being Not Like Other Girls. It’s not the writing itself that’s inconsistent. It’s the presentation that makes it so skewed and poorly done. Hell, they even go so far as to trot Missandei out every so often to give a speech about how great Dany is (even a speech about how Dany is a CHOSEN QUEEN NOT JUST BECAUSE OF HER DADDY thank you very much after scenes of Dany dismissing even the mention of any people’s wishes and holding everyone’s safety hostage because of who her Dad was). Missandei’s only function in the show is to talk about how wonderful Dany is. Incidentally, that’s become Tyrion’s only function in the show now, too (aside from constant failure, stating and somehow simultaneously ignoring the obvious, and reminding everyone of how smart he is, of course).

What if Anakin had survived RoTJ, what would his relationship with Ben be like (and what does a very-unwilling-to-have-any-contact-but doesn't-have-much-choice because Snoke is hounding her boy Leia think about it?)
“Force,” Grandfather laughed, though the sound came out as a burst of static—it had to be the new tech, they must not have figured out the feedback balance yet. “If you keep growing, you’re going to be even taller than I am.”
Ben drew himself up as straight as he could, trying to imagine looking down on the man he’d spent his whole childhood craning his neck to see. The growth spurt had taken them all by surprise—his shins still ached, a kind of absent throbbing that got worse, if he was too long on his feet. There had been a few nights he’d woken up crying from the pain, and Mama had brought her datapad and her papers, and they’d curled up together with hot-pads packed around Ben’s knees. (It was so babyish, but he couldn’t remember the last time she’d done—something like that, like lying in bed with him, her hand running through his hair absently.
But Grandfather didn’t need to know that.)
“I’m as tall as Uncle Luke now,” he said instead, and Grandfather smiled. It was easier to see where the synth-skin met scar tissue when his mouth moved.
“And how is your uncle? He hasn’t been to—see me, recently.”
Ben rolled his eyes, huffing. “The same. Chasing down the latest half-whispered rumor of the Jedi temple, leaving cryptic transmissions that worry everyone. Dad left to bail him out or something, but that was weeks ago.”
“Emmos wasn’t fruitful, then?”
“I don’t know. I guess not.”
Grandfather shook his head with a sigh, another rush of static. “I should have paid more attention when Master Osdanii lectured about early Jedi history. I would have—”
He fell silent.
It was rare, to catch Grandfather stumbling into the gap between ‘would have’ and ‘did’. He usually remembered. He always remembered. He’d said that was his punishment, more than anything else—to remember it all, everything he had done and had done to him.
Ben swallowed: “I got perfect marks in history,” he said hopefully, trying to stave off the storm he could feel gathering in the Force. “This quarter, anyway. We’re studying the early Republic.”
Grandfather relaxed by centimeters. Breathed in, and out, in a rush of static. “That’s excellent, Ben. Well done.”
Ben cleared his throat, made an awkward gesture. “Should we—?”
“Yes. Right, yes, of course,” Grandfather said. He held out his hands. and Ben stepped forward, taking him by the wrists. Slowly, he helped grandfather to the floor, careful not to let him drop him those last centimeters. Grandfather groaned as he crossed his legs, poking at his right foot until it stopped twitching. “Mother of Moons, these joints need replacing.”
Ben flopped down beside him, arranging himself in meditation pose. “I had the nightmare again last week.”
Grandfather froze, his eyes flicking to Ben. “The temple, or…?”
Ben nodded.
“All right. We’ll start there.”
Uncle Chewie had asked once, what Jedi training was like. Meditation, Ben had told him, because that was easier than trying to explain something Ben didn’t have words for. The truth was, Grandfather was terrible at meditation—the first time he showed Ben how, his presence in the Force got big, much bigger than his body and dangerous, restless, like a krayt dragon from Uncle Luke’s stories. It had opened its jaws and its jaws were the Force, and Ben had screamed as he felt it swallow him.
It had taken two hours of Mama stroking Ben’s hair to get him to stop crying, her presence in the Force gathered around them both like a bulwark of light.
So Ben and Grandfather didn’t do meditation.
What they did was—well, what they did…was…was…
It was sort of like building an x-wing from nothing but wet flimsi and light, as the x-wing was traveling a hundred thousand klicks a second through hyperspace. Also, your hands were wrapped in thick leaden gloves that wouldn’t bend at the second joint, and no one had ever actually taught you how to build an x-wing, or what one looked like.
Except of course it was nothing like that all, bigger and stranger and more terrible. But Ben didn’t have the words for that, for the brightness of the stars or the ghosts that would sometimes turn up—the man with the heart cut from his chest who made Grandfather go quiet, grief-stricken; the woman with lines on her face and a cloak like the sky. Sometimes they would lean in, whisper something in Grandfather’s ear and then vanish into the air.
Sometimes they touched Ben, his hair, his cheek, and he wasn’t afraid.
In the Force, Grandfather was young, even younger than Dad. He looked a lot like Uncle Luke this way. (Handsomer—Grandfather didn’t have Uncle Luke’s terrible beard.) Together, Grandfather and Ben surveyed Ben’s x-wing-that-was-not-an-x-wing. Finally, Grandfather hummed, narrowing his eyes at the damage to the fuselage. “Not bad. Your shielding must have deflected most of the worst of it.”
Ben shivered. “It didn’t feel like that. Sno—him, it felt like he was close. Like he took out one of my engines.”
It wasn’t smart to use real names here. Sometimes, things answered.
“Give yourself credit, Ben,” Grandfather said, resting a hand on Ben’s shoulder. It was warm, even in the Force. “You’re learning to protect yourself, and you’re getting stronger every month. Just last year you would have sustained serious damage from a hit like this.”
Grandfather stretched out his hands, and the tools appeared in them. He held the winch out to Ben. “Let’s get to work.”
There was no sense of time, in the Force. (The Force was always present tense, the eternal now.) Hyperspace whirled around them, but there were systems fixed amid the rushing blue; Grandfather was old and young and older, older still, then young, a boy with sandy hair who barely came up to Ben’s waist and whose eyes held stars.
Sometimes Ben wondered what he looked like in the Force, if Grandfather could see him like that too, at three and five and ten and maybe even older—at fifteen, at fifty. Ben wondered what it would be like to be fifty.
By the time the repairs were finished, Ben’s hands were bleeding (not really, not real blood, not really his hands) and his whole body felt like overcooked psatta. But Grandfather was animated, making Ben laugh with another story about the antics of the clone troopers. And then—no, you won’t believe this—that Zeroes said—
The harsh buzz and crackle of the laser field startled Ben out of the Force. He had to blink several times before his gaze would focus, and even then he felt off-kilter, sluggish.
His arms really did ache.
“Time’s up, Organa. Let’s go.”
Ben blinked again, finally managing to focus on the guard standing just inside the laser field of the cell. It was Kinunt—Ben didn’t like Kinunt, he’d always cut Ben and Grandfather off a few minutes early so he could make his caf break. But he seemed more at ease today, smiling idly at Ben. His presence in the Force was tired.
“Visiting hours are over, kid, we got to get you out of here.”
Ben exhaled—a glance at the chronometer on the wall showed that Kinunt had been uncharacteristically generous, giving Ben an extra few minutes. Ben nodded, and leaned over, resting a palm on Grandfather’s knee. “Let me help you up,” he said, and Grandfather shuddered, coming out of the Force-trance with a faint tug that rippled out, like waves, like a tension being released.
“The time always goes too quickly,” Grandfather grumbled, as Ben helped him back to his feet.
“Sorry, Sithspit,” Kinunt said cheerfully, hefting his gun. Far off, Ben heard the buzz and clang of reinforced doors slamming shut, though maybe that was his heart, jolting. “Rules are rules. And you know how the warden gets if we don’t follow the letter of the law around here.”
Ben turned back to Grandfather, anger simmering in his gut. He’d always hated Grandfather’s threadbare cell, the meager tray of food delivered at midday and the disgust, the pity and hatred and disrespect of the guards. He couldn’t fix those things but this he could, or he could at least get mother to fix it. “If you’re having trouble with the warden—”
“Nothing I can’t handle,” Grandfather said, and his synth-skin curled with his smirk. “I have…experience in tyrants.”
Grandfather reached out, rested a hand against Ben’s cheek, and the alloy of it was cold, even through the sheath of synth-skin. Around them, the Force was tangle of grief and love, heavier than worlds. Ben could feel it settling over his shoulders like a cloak, like armor. “You have your grandmother’s eyes,” Grandfather said finally. “I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that.”
Ben nodded, choking on a lump in his throat, and Grandfather’s expression softened. “Tell your mother I said hello.”
“I will,” Ben said quickly. “See you in a few weeks?”
“Until then.”
“C’mon, Organa,” Kinunt said, an irritable edge creeping into his voice. When Ben turned and threw him a dirty look, the guard rolled his eyes. “Wrap it up, I’ve got other shit to do.”
Ben bit his tongue to keep from saying anything he would regret. (He’d been banned from seeing Grandfather before, once when he was seven for lashing out at a guard, and again when he was eleven, for lashing out with the Force. He’d learned his limits in this.) Instead, he exchanged one last look with Grandfather and followed Kinunt out.
Mama was sitting in her usual place, her back very straight against the duracrete wall. Ben had been taller than her for years now, but when she was in the room no one noticed. (Leia Organa was always seven feet tall—maybe eight, when she was angry.) She was reading something off her datapad. Judging by the frown lines, it was Senate business.
But she looked up when Ben approached, and the lines smoothed out, her expression softening. “How did it go?”
“Grandfather says hello,” Ben said, enjoying the way her mouth went pinched and thin. She raised her eyebrows pointedly, and he huffed. “Good. It was good, I guess.”
Ben could be blind and deaf at the other end of the galaxy and he would still know his mother when she reached out with the Force. The hard, vibroblade brightness of her was as familiar as breathing, and Ben rolled his eyes at the worrymistrustworrylove she projected; let her scrape against the edges of his shields, reinforced with Grandfather’s strength. Finally she relaxed, then tension leaving her shoulders.
“Good,” she said, quiet and proud, really proud, and it was dumb how warm it made Ben feel, hearing her say it like that.
She turned and gathered up her things, and Ben followed her, a step behind, down the winding prison corridors and past the guard posts. They were through the gates and almost to the visitors’ landing pad when she asked, “What do you talk about, with him?”
It was brighter than when Ben had gone into the prison, and he squinted against the sun, so he didn’t have to meet her eyes. “Nothing,” Ben said. “History. Jedi stuff.”
“Do you ever wish you’d trained with Luke instead?”
Ben’s gaze jerked to her despite himself. It was the first time she’d ever phrased it like that—like a question, and not like on order, or a law handed down from the Senate floor. Of course she had always wanted him to train with Luke, the brother she loved, and not Darth Vader, the father she hated. She had only ever agreed to these visits with Grandfather as a necessary evil, a means of protecting Ben while Luke grew into Jedi Knighthood.
But Ben hadn’t, and when she announced she was sending him to the Outer Rim with Luke for training, Ben had fought her for it. Screaming matches that woke the neighbors, instructors who had pulled her aside for a conference because Ben claimed she was selling him to slavers. Once, Ben had even tried running away from home—though he had only gotten to the Ranthorpe District before Dad found him and brought him back.
(Don’t make me go, Ben had said on the hovercab back, squeezing his eyes shut. His stomach had churned, and he’d felt hot, sick. Please, Dad, I don’t want to go. She’ll listen to you, you can…I like training with Grandfather, I don’t want to go away with Uncle Luke.
I know, Dad had said, rubbing Ben’s back with his big hand. I know, kid.)
Finally, just before what was supposed to be their last visit, Mama had told Ben to sit with the guard, that she had business to discuss with his Grandfather. It had been thirty minutes—Ben had watched the chronometer the entire time, practically vibrating—before Mama returned, her presence in the Force tinged dark, and storming.
Ben was not sent to train with Luke. And as far as Ben knew, that was the last time his mother and grandfather had spoken directly to one another.
“Ben?” Mama asked, reaching out with the bright-edge in the Force, and tapping at his shields. Ben twitched.
“No,” he said shakily. “No, I don’t. Grandfather is a good teacher.”
“Luke is a good teacher too.”
“Luke doesn’t like me,” Ben said bitterly, before he could stop himself
Mama a soft noise, and Ben looked away quickly. His ears were burning. “Oh, Ben,” she sighed. “He loves you. You know that.”
Ben scowled. Of course Luke loved him. Luke loved everybody, even the father who chopped off his hand and nearly killed him. (Sorry, Grandfather.) That didn’t mean anything. Ben had spent enough time around Luke to know that Luke didn’t like him—Ben couldn’t remember a time when they hadn’t circled each other like wookiees fighting over territory, Luke said things without thinking that hurt Ben; Ben dug in his heels and fought against Luke just for the hells of it. Grandfather loved Luke with a kind of love he didn’t share with Ben, even though it was Ben who saw him every few weeks, who knew all his stories and could make him laugh. Even Dad, who was Force-sensitive as a hunk of asteroid, could sense the tension when they were together.
Honestly, Luke teaching Ben would probably result in someone’s violent death and a fall to the Dark Side.
“I just want to make sure you’re learning the right lessons,” Mama said. The second half of the sentence was swallowed up by the transpo’s engines, and Ben’s hair whipped into his eyes.
He reached out with a tendril of the Force and touched her mind, which was still caught in that tangle of worryfurylove. She was seeing him at three and five and eleven and—but that wasn’t the Force, she was just remembering.
The transpo docked, and Mama squeezed his arm before moving away to talk to the captain.
Ben swallowed. His shins were just beginning to ache.

[Fuente]
[Fuente]
