i like to play minecraft on peaceful survival bc im essentially using it like a building sim where i can find materials to build cool houses/cities out of. i have a few games where i play normal survival minecraft though, and they always throw me off bc im still using it as a building sim except it takes me twice as long because this time i have to kill all these fucking skeletons on the way to get dye for glazed terracotta

i recreated the Big Duck (1931)! 🦆

this building was made for a duck farm in New York, so I figured it would be perfect for my chicken farm lol

this duck is legit my favorite building of all time, so it made me very happy to be able to build this in minecraft

sorry fo the casual negativity but im going through the craziest art crisis ever and like im completely overhauling as much as i can from my old art style so all i have rn are doodles ahhhh its so frustrating but i feel like i should post somethin anyway just to make me feel better

sometimes i black out and wake up 10 hours later with a build in creative and other times i have to fight tooth and nail to get it done. this build was a bit of both, the creative process was GRUELING, but the actual build itself was relatively pleasant! in total I think this build probably took me about 25 hours, and I think it turned out well :)

Do you know about Minecraft's Warden?

yeah! i learned about the whole city thing somewhere i forgot now, went looking for it (which took FOREVER) and the actual warden itself was a complete shock to me

i don't think i have a clip of me discovering it :( in my first clip of the city or warden i'm already placing carpets down and shift walking

i THINK this is the moment i broke in though?

the last thing i did in that world was complete my bridge, then i realised i didn't want to build a proper house at all and my interest trailed off again bc other things came up... this is my world though :3

Idk i wanted to share some of the builds and things I've done on my Isle since ive been toying with things and felt inclined.

Ignore how many times I forget to use snapshot mode or get the builder out of the shot OTL

I'll use a readmore to just contextualize them?

1. Simple enough, it's just a bridge that connects my Green Gardens tablet to the actual village. I made a sort of tiered farm structure beneath the tablet but it's not finished yet. (Im waiting to get buildnoculars) also the mushroom house in the back I made for Lillian.

2. A former flophouse and a sort of workshop that doubles as sleeping arrangements for some of the residents. (Specifically, Rosie, Hellen, Wrigley, and a few misc villagers live in those)

3. The beach in the Scarlet Sands :D

4. The backyard of the house shared between Mal and the builder. I really like making gardens in this game and the way magic crystals look, so i played around.

5. The front outside! I know it contrasts a little with Mal's preferences but I like the headcanon of the builder just really liking flowers (projection from me? Probably.)

6. A pool I put on top of the pyramid. I wanted to make it a fountain that cascaded down the pyramid, but I decided against it.

7. The smithy and a nonfunctional cafe! I thought making a hammer building would be fun.

8. The back garden of Lulu's home! I wanted to give her something too since I spent so much time on my own.

9. A sort of beachhouse shared between Bonanzo and Ordelia. I'm still landscaping around it.

10. Some lil snack stalls by the beach.

season 9 has been amazing but i’m kinda excited to be around for the beginning of a hermitcraft season, they were well into the empires crossover arc when i started watching double life (which was pretty much my introduction to mcyt in general) so this is gonna be my first time actually being around for the early game
