I have a feeling that the bad batch will break up, mainly echo and hunter. because all hunter wants to do is keep omega safe, give her the life they never had.

but echo...his morals are too strong for him to just leave people suffering. he's grown up with fives and rex and ahsoka and obiwan and cody and anakin i-dont-give-a-kriff skywalker, he's not just gonna throw everything away for what he views as a slightly selfish reason.

so hunter & wrecker (& omega, albeit furious and sobbing) on one side, echo on the other (and possibly crosshair). tech is caught in the middle, but eventually goes with echo. because science biatch.

except...well, when echo is on a mission (from rex), he dies. and we all are crushed and traumatised and i am most definitely NOT OKAY RIGHT NOW.

crosshair is devastated. because echo was probably the only one who related to the snarkiness on a personal level dammit. this is why he doesnt let people get close to him. why did he have to get another brother? why did he let a reg close to him?

tech doesnt know what to do. hes not accustomed to losing someone, especially someone hes allowed to get close to him. so tech does what he does best. he buries himself into his work. not letting yourself feel anything will fix the pain, right?

crosshair eventually gets the balls to comm hunter

and hunter is filled with the worst feeling in the world when crosshair recounts what happened. he let one of his brothers die, and what's worse, he let his last karking words be a kriffing arguement.

omega is inconsolable for DAYS on end. again. she refuses to let anyone near her except for wrecker. even when she's in her 70s, there's still a part of her that aches for echo. the only real mom she's ever known.

wrecker doesn't understand why he feels so sad. he doesnt know how to make the pain go away. but he does know that he has to help omega. that he can do.

and during all of this, rex is by himself, mourning the last of his men. the last of the dominos
