Color palette Anxiety About: Jerome (gonna keep him a background character) would love to fit into society but due to his bug-like appearance and skinny body he often scares humans or chimeras off. omg 15 ponies at once no kill me now AHAHAHA  These are just background characters that work within Novalis' castle. The markings on their faces represent their roles and ranks.  Red for castle guard or soldier Black for captain of the guard  Green for the royal advisors Pink for caretakers who maintain the castle Gold for Novalis' personal assistants White for the cooks Blue for entertainers and Orange for royal messengers Most of these characters aren't that important except for like two, not sure if I'd end up showing them in any particular scenes for now. This was just to show the ranking system.

Here’s something a bit different to start the week off right! This is the design process we used on Puppy Dog Pals for most of our characters- Initial concepts (usually three if time allows), turnarounds for CG builds, happy and sad mouthcharts, and an expression sheet for the animation team to reference. Admittedly the expression sheets were always my favorite to work up. This is just a small assortment of some other designs I've been working on for the story. Both Chariot and the colored mare are important characters. The mare is the Queen of Valhalloway. The other designs at the top are ideas for alternate races, so their designs might be altered later. And in the other corner is a young Novalis. Being a smooty poot. >:l...... >:C
