this was kinda the worst episode out of the entire series tbh simply because of the pacing. i liked the episode, but it was all over the place. they tried to tie in all the lose ends in 50 minutes, and that just wasn’t possible. louis being imprisoned, then released, losing his mind, recovering, AND burning down the theater and killing santiago, all in the span of like 5 minutes, the whole louis/lestat/armand scene, daniel exposing armand, loumand divorcing (that was so underwhelming, esp after 2x05, like, i needed these bitches to have a proper verbal argument, i needed them to be AT EACH OTHER’S THROATS), armand turning daniel (offscreen, cause they didn’t have time to get into all that, cause like… no way it was that simple lol there were too many devil’s minion hints throughout both seasons), louis flying to nola, reuniting with lestat (they have far too long and complex a history for it to be resolved so quickly, it would’ve been far more meaningful had it been done right), daniel publishing his book (compiling, writing, editing, publishing it AND selling 4-5 million copies must have taken a lot of time, so time jump, i guess?)… just by typing this out, it’s too much, way too much to cover in a single episode. the hectic pace left me unsatisfied and it also left a lot of room for plot holes (no more unreliable narrators now, cause the interview is done). idk i think they really should’ve split this into two episodes, at least. one of the things that i really admired about this show was the pace. in season 1, they managed to cover 3 decades in the span of only 7 episodes, while simultaneously showing us what was happening in dubai in 2022, and it never felt rushed. season 2’s pacing was still amazing and satisfying, up until this episode. idk man… i hope this doesn’t happen again, cause it really left a bitter taste in my mouth, and it was the finale, so my expectations were high.

By now we've all seen the new R&M season 7 opening theme, but did anyone else notice the sheer lack of VIOLENCE in it?
Like, it's just so goofy. Look it, we got summer doing powerlifts with Rick.
We have the Beths doing a bizarre cupcake dance in a throne room with their kids watching. (Super weird btw, lol).
We have grandpa and Morty patiently waiting for a zombie hand to pop out of the ground. (And, unless they killed the person/thing themselves, there really isn't any violence).
Then we have chibi grandpa and Morty snow sledding on their tongues while miraculously avoiding getting hit by fireballs. (I feel like this is the most violent clip since they are getting shot at, but at least they weren't hit).
And then we've got buff Jerry doing chair yoga.
See what I mean? These clips aren't violent. They're goofy. In every other opening scene, we at least see something violent, bloody or inappropriate, but here- aside from a rotting zombie hand- we don't get anything but simple, goofy, enjoyable scenes.
The reason why I'm pointing this out is because I'm HOPEFUL. We've talked before about how we wanted the show to be a tiny bit more wholesome and heartfelt. Maybe this is a sign?

Ok so I just watched Our Blue and Green World on the Video App and I do not have enough time to post my disjointed thoughts about it, and I'm frankly too much in shock by the whole thing to even say anything more. I will point out my one main thought since in a couple of hours, this is going to absolutely blow up the main WK tag and I want to get it off my chest before any major bandwagons hit. This'll be my last S7 spoiler related post for the night so I can log off and take a breather after what the fuck I just watched. Blue-whale/Amazon rainforest sized spoilers under the cut.
I am in such disbelief over this episode's ending. I'm not angry or fuming at the fact that they redeemed Paisey Paver after only giving her 7 appearances over the course of 8 years, (or maybe I'm too surprised to have any straight-forward) or the fact that they had the balls to do so, for ANY of the main villains, but I'm just.... bargaining here. They did a similar "hint" at the villains redeeming in the Christmas special only for it to be a fake-out. And in other episodes, we've seen the heroes legitimately help the villains, but through means other than redeeming them (i.e. saving Zach's life and trying to convince him to live it well, or rescuing Gourmand, or giving Donita a spider-silk dress that was made ethically).
This... is a whole new different level. They for one, pulled a Starlight Glimmer and gave her a new attire (which sucks BTW), and secondly, they had her join the Kratts, but this episode is the first out of the 4 episodes to air, meaning that this likely has to take place after those 3 episodes, so already there's my timeline post to make.
But more importantly, what next? Will they stick with this change? Will this be one of the things that is immediately undone by the end of the episode? Will this have a big role in the series? Is this an elaborate April Fools' prank??? Is this real? Is this the ultimate Paisley Paver pro gamer move to defeat the Kratt Brothers and evade arrest? Will any of this play into the Wild Kratts movie??
I'll tell you what it means [unless it is a prank, which I frankly hope it is] It is the show jumping the shark, and in it, I see one of two outcomes. Either A) it will skyrocket this show like never before, or B) only spell the beginning of the end. Time will tell. And frankly, there is so much that could go wrong. Like so much. I've seen a lot of shows completely go downhill, crash, and burn after sticking up for them so much. I would want to say that Wild Kratts is not/will not be one of those shows, but I could be wrong. In beautifully creative ways, this show has pleasantly surprised me more, and it is still able to bring out episodes that have been some of PBS Kids' best. So I'm walking in completely neutral, and seeing what the blue and green future has in store.
Keep on Creature Adventuring you guys.... see you on the Creature Trail... for better or worse...

Wait Hold Up…
Spoilers for Our Blue and Green World below cut! Please proceed with caution!
Did Zach Just Made A Titanic Reference?!?!
I think he did, and I freaking love him for that….Headcanon that he saw Titanic in theaters (probably multiple times) and was sobbing during it…and it made him long for a love like Jack and Rose’s.
BTW…No, I’m not over here thinking about incorporating this into my Wild Violet AU or thinking about making a Titanic Wild Kratts AU staring Zach, why do you ask *furiously concocting the Au as we speak.*

Season 6 of The X Files slaps so hard. Going into season 6 knowing that the filming location moved from Vancouver to Los Angeles the show lost a part of its classic scenery and feel but made up for it in what I would say is comprised of some of the best episodes in the entire series. I mean come on....
Triangle: a banger
Dreamland I & II: both bangers
How the Ghost Stole Christmas: another freaking banger
The Rain King, Drive, Tithonus, Agua Mala, Monday, Arcadia, Milagro, The Unnatural, Three of a Kind, and Field Trip: ALL FREAKING BANGERS

In a different context, the context being that it's all healthy, happy, and consensual, I could agree with this vision.

i think? it's been said there's going to be more exploration of the teen/aya vers of the characters in the pnf reboot and i am dreading that for a number of reasons but especially the relationship between a 17/18 year old and a 26 year old whose fucking idea was this
