Since we're coming right off of Halloween, this seems like an appropriate way to start a month of Oscar winners. I've considered featuring this one before for the theme of white and the theme of weddings, and each time I've held off because I find it so bizarre and hideous.

Eiko Ishioka, the designer, said she based the look on the Australian frilled lizard (Chlamydosaurus kingii):

But as far as I'm concerned, that raises more questions than it answers. Starting with "What in heaven's name made you look at that creature and say 'wedding dress'?"

Then again, Ishioka apparently also said that this movie would be like an adaptation of Dracula in which everyone had taken LSD. Which honestly explains more, in my opinion.

One point of interest about the dress: we never get a back view that isn't obscured by the super-long trailing veil, but from what we can see through the veil, it appears to have a multi-tiered bustle. Again the headline…and not point out all the best dressed list but only link to Daily Mail…they do love this angle…Omar seems to take it well and fun to end up on both best dressed and worst dressed lists. As he should.

Omar Rudberg's outfit at the Oscars was trashed internationally.

Now the "Young royals" star answers questions after the sour criticism.

- They are quite sensitive to skin, he says.

The actor and artist Omar Rudberg, 25, has been praised in Sweden for his style of clothing.

But after the Swedish Netflix star walked the red carpet at the Oscars, his outfit became trashed internationally. (Sågades internationellt)

Britain's Daily Mail named him one of the worst dressed at the gala, writing that he "seems to have forgotten his shirt at home". Rudberg was dressed in black suit trousers and a jacket with a bare shirt underneath.

Now Rudberg strikes back against the hard trashing (sågning).

- They are probably a bit sensitive to skin, it hasn't hurt anyone, he tells Aftonbladet during the red carpet at the Elle gala in Stockholm, which was held this weekend.

“It was the best look”

According to Omar Rudberg, the jury had made it "a thing" that he didn't wear a shirt at the Oscars, which surprised him.

- It was quite strange for me. I had three different shirts to choose from but I chose not to take any of them because it was the best look.

Despite the trashing of his clothes, Rudberg still sees the attention as positive.

- The funniest thing was that I ended up on the best dressed and the worst dressed, that it was both.

- Everything. I thought it was so fun that people chose to talk so much about my outfit.
