The other day you posted about shy boys and I have some thoughts about shy boy Choso if you don't mind. Also, this ended up being longer than intended, sorry 😬
Imagine, if you will, sitting on the couch in your jammies with your bestie Choso, your bestie that you know has a thing for you but won't make a move no matter how many hints you drop that you like him too, your bestie who blushes and changes the subject whenever you talk about sex/dating and the like, he's sitting between your legs laying back against you. You have your feet on the edge of the couch with your knees up beside him and he's resting his arms on your legs.
Imagine making him lift up his head so you can take out his hair buns to run your fingers through his hair and graze his scalp with your nails causing his head to fall back against your shoulder humming at the feeling.
Imagine snaking one hand over his shoulder and resting it on his abs and rubbing your thumb back and forth feeling the definition of his muscles through his shirt. "Just getting comfy," you say when he asks what you're doing.
Imagine the small whine that comes from him when you remove your other hand from his hair. His breath catches in his throat though when your hand comes to rest near his waistband. "Just keeping warm," you whisper in his ear when he asks what you're doing for a second time this time in a slightly higher pitch.
Imagine seeing the blush creep up his ears when you start mindlessly fiddling with the drawstring of his pants. It's not your fault it came undone, the knot wasn't done very tight in the first place.
Imagine his breath stopping completely and his hands starting to grip your legs when your finger tips slip under his waistband, not moving just sitting there.
Imagine seeing the tent in his pants steadily grow as you start to scratch gently at the skin just above his cock.
Imagine him squeezing his eyes shut and shaking his head no when you breathe "tell me to stop," against the shell of his ear.
Imagine finally grabbing his cock and having to remind him to breathe because his fingers are leaving marks on your shins.
Imagine the mewls that you pull out of him as you stroke him so slow that he has trouble keeping his hips still.
Imagine having to shush him when you speed up, he's louder than the movie you two were watching.
Imagine giving Choso a reach around and playing with his hair again while telling him how good he's being for you.
Imagine Choso coming in your hand and you bring it to his mouth for him to lick clean.
Imagine, if you will, shy boy Choso panting and rubbing your legs up and down to try and calm himself down after the most erotic experience of his life. He's been so good for you, you should get him a glass of water and a snack when his breathing evens out so he can replenish.

Trash Novel Chronicles: I'd Rather Date the Male Lead's Dad - Lilia Vanrouge x reader
When you end up in your best friend's favourite but absurd novel about breaking a fae prince's curse, you didn't expect to get attached to his little family too. Even more unexpected? You fell for the male lead's dad, but hey it looks like he likes you too.
First part with Vil ; Second Part with Riddle ; Fourth Part with Malleus ; Fifth part with Azul ; Sixth part with Leona ; Seventh part with Idia ; Eighth part with Jamil ; Ninth part with Kalim
You love your best friend. You really, really do. But sometimes—sometimes—the things they drag you into make you question your life choices. This time? It’s a novel. A bad one.
The plot is borderline unreadable, but somehow, it’s now your problem. Because of course it is.
“So, listen,” your friend had said, waving the book around like it was some kind of literary masterpiece. “Malleus Draconia, the fae prince, is cursed—chained up in this forest. The curse can only be broken by someone who isn’t attracted to him. But here’s the kicker: he’s so hot that no one can break the curse. For ten years.”
“Uh-huh.” You’d nodded along, already feeling your brain cells start to wave white flags of surrender. But your friend continued.
“The main character stumbles upon him after years of drama and frees him because they’re the only one not drooling over him. Then they fall in love, blah, blah, blah.”
At this point, you were barely listening. But then they dropped the bomb. Your eyes were shutting and you felt the sweet embrace of sleep call to you.
“Also, there’s this subplot where a magical plague of squirrels overruns the kingdom, the Saint betrays everyone by secretly being a double agent for some shadowy organization, and—get this—there’s a surprise paternity reveal where the devil is the father of the Saint who turns out to be the evil villain controlling everything.”
Your face had hit the pillow as your soul left your body.
And somehow, the next thing you remember is waking up dead. Or, more specifically, reincarnated. In the body of the heroine. In that story.
You can't believe the story was so terrible that it killed you.
The first thing you notice when you wake up is that the room is way too fancy for your tastes. The bed is massive, the sheets feel like they cost more than your entire existence, and the walls are adorned with tacky portraits of people who are probably supposed to be important.
“Oh, no,” you groan, rubbing your eyes. “This can’t be happening.”
But it is. You’re in the novel. The very one your friend had been yammering about. And not only are you in it, but you’ve woken up a full year before the plot is supposed to kick off. A year of waiting for terrible drama, an ex-fiancé who can’t take a hint, and a poor fae prince you’re supposed to rescue.
But you? Yeah, you’re not that patient.
“No way am I waiting a whole year for some garbage plot to unfold,” you mutter, throwing the covers off. “I’m just going to free Malleus now, take my reward, and live a quiet, drama-free life by the beach.”
With that plan firmly in mind, you march out the door.
It takes a bit of wandering through some overly cursed forest, but you eventually find Malleus’s “prison.” And honestly? It’s not nearly as dramatic as you expected.
There he is, sitting in the middle of a clearing, chained up in some kind of spooky-but-also-weirdly-ornate setup. He looks just as the novel described: tall, dark-haired, horns giving him an air of mystery and power. But what you weren’t prepared for? The way his eyes widen slightly in surprise when he sees you.
“I wasn’t expecting… company,” Malleus says, his voice soft, almost tentative.
You pause for a second. He looks intimidating, sure, but there’s something oddly… sweet about him. Like a guy who’d get excited over a party invite and then be too shy to actually show up.
“Yeah, I’m just here to get this whole ‘curse-breaking’ thing out of the way,” you say casually, walking up to the chains. “I’ve got stuff to do.”
Malleus blinks, looking a bit confused. “You… are not attracted to me?”
You snort. “Nah, not really. You’re nice to look at, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve got my own problems. Let’s just get you free so I can collect my reward and move on.”
He still looks mildly surprised but nods. “Very well.”
With a shrug, you reach out and touch the chains. There’s a brief flicker of light, and they dissolve. Just like that.
Malleus looks down at his freed wrists, clearly shocked. “It… it worked.”
“Yeah, wild, right?” you say, brushing off your hands. “So, about that reward…”
Before you can finish, Malleus stands and, in a tone so polite it makes you feel guilty, says, “You have freed me. Please, allow me to invite you to stay at my castle. As a guest.”
You blink at him. “Uh, no thanks. I’m good.”
Malleus’s expression falters for a moment, and you swear he looks a little sad. “But… I would like to repay you for your kindness.”
He’s giving you this look, all wide-eyed and hopeful, and you realize—he just wants to hang out.
Oh no.
“Ugh, fine,” you groan. “I’ll stick around for a bit.”
The way his face lights up is honestly too pure for someone who was supposed to be all intimidating and all-powerful.
When you arrive at Malleus’s castle, things get interesting real fast. You’re greeted by his entourage—Sebek, who looks like he’s one insult away from going Super Saiyan; Silver, who’s napping on his feet; and Lilia, who seems like the embodiment of chaos.
Sebek is the first to speak, scowling at you with righteous fury. “How DARE you approach Lord Malleus with such insolence!”
You roll your eyes. “I just freed him. You’re welcome.”
Sebek looks like he’s about to explode, but Lilia steps forward, his sharp grin making you instantly suspicious. “Oh? You broke the curse? Without being… swayed by our dear Malleus’s charms?”
“Yup,” you say, popping the ‘p.’ “Didn’t even break a sweat.”
Lilia’s eyes gleam with amusement. “Fascinating. You must have quite the willpower. Or perhaps…” He looks you up and down, clearly intrigued. “You simply have different tastes?”
You blink. Then, without thinking, you point at him. “Actually, yeah. You’re hot.”
There’s a beat of stunned silence, during which Sebek looks like he’s been hit with a brick, and Lilia lets out a delighted laugh.
“Oh, you are a delight,” Lilia says, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Perhaps you should stay longer.”
“You think I’m joking, but I’m not,” you deadpan, earning a grin from Lilia.
Silver, meanwhile, is still half-asleep and completely unfazed by your chaos. “Good job on freeing Malleus,” he mutters, yawning.
Malleus, who has been silent this whole time, finally speaks up. “You… do not find me attractive?”
You turn to him and sigh. “Look, it’s not that you’re not attractive. You’re, like… objectively pretty. But I don’t really go for the whole cursed prince thing.”
Malleus seems to process this slowly, his brows furrowing slightly. “I see…”
“But don’t worry,” you add quickly, feeling a bit bad for the guy. “You’re sweet. It’s a compliment, really.”
Malleus looks a little less confused and a bit more happy. “Sweet? No one has ever called me that before.”
You snort. “Well, I’m calling it now. And hey, you’ve got your freedom, right? Now you can get invited to all those parties you wanted.”
At this, Malleus’s eyes widen slightly, and you realize—oh no, he’s the type who really just wants to be invited to stuff.
“Oh,” you mutter under your breath, “you’re like a giant puppy, aren’t you?”
Malleus tilts his head, clearly confused, but before he can ask, Lilia leans in with a knowing grin. “I think you’ll fit in just fine around here.”
You sigh, rubbing your temples. “This is gonna be a long stay, isn’t it?”
Lilia’s smile widens. “Oh, most definitely.”
Later, you’re sitting around the dining hall with the group when Lilia casually brings up the dreaded plot points.
“So, when do you think the magical plague of squirrels will hit?” he asks, almost too casually.
You nearly choke on your drink. “The what now?”
“Oh, didn’t you know?” Lilia smirks. “There’s a prophecy. The squirrels will overrun the kingdom unless someone stops them.”
You blink. “This is real? I thought that part was a fever dream.”
Malleus nods seriously. “The squirrels are quite the threat.”
You slam your head on the table. “I’m trapped in a nightmare.”
Silver, half-asleep as always, just yawns. “I’ll take care of them. Probably.”
And that’s when you realize: maybe you should have let the curse be.
You didn’t mean for it to happen, but you and Malleus… well, you’ve become friends. It started small, mostly casual conversations where he’d hover around, awkward but eager, just happy to be included. There was this one time you invited him to tea, and the poor guy looked like he was about to cry from happiness. Now? You’re taking your frienship to the next level.
“Hey,” you say, strolling into the throne room where Malleus is doing the farthest thing from brooding. He’s just kind of standing there, staring out the window like he’s daydreaming about a really nice picnic. “Want to go to the market with me?”
The look on his face is priceless. His eyes widen like you’ve just handed him a golden ticket to the best party of the year. “You… want me to accompany you?”
“Yeah,” you shrug, as if this isn’t the biggest deal of his life. “I need to pick up some stuff, and I figured it’d be more fun with a friend. Plus, y’know, maybe someone will actually give me a discount if you’re there.”
Malleus looks like you just offered him the world “I would be honored.”
And that’s how you, Malleus, and the rest of his chaotic entourage—because of course they followed—ended up at the bustling market.
Sebek? Less than thrilled. In fact, you think he might actually be foaming at the mouth. “I cannot believe you are fraternizing with Lord Malleus so casually! Do you not understand the honor you’ve been given?!”
“Sebek,” you sigh, waving a hand dismissively, “we’ve been over this. I’m his friend. Friends do normal stuff together. You know, like going to the market.”
Sebek glares at you like you’ve just insulted his entire bloodline. “Lord Malleus does not engage in such trivialities!”
“Uh,” you glance over at Malleus, who is currently inspecting a row of intricately carved fruit. “He’s literally doing it right now, Sebek.”
Malleus turns to you, holding up a fruit shaped like a tiny dragon. “Would you like to try one? It is said to bring good fortune.”
You grin at him. “If you’re offering, I’m down.”
Sebek looks like he’s about to explode from sheer indignation.
“You dare—!”
“Sebek,” Malleus cuts in, his voice as gentle as ever. “I am quite enjoying myself. There’s no need to worry.”
You grin at the sight. “You’re really into this, huh?”
Malleus glances at you, a little bashful but still smiling. “I have never been invited to something like this before. It is… a new experience.”
Oh god, he’s so sweet. You feel like you’re corrupting a baby deer by dragging him into the real world, but it’s so worth it.
Lilia, however, is having the time of his life. He leans over, grinning like the mischievous little gremlin he is, and whispers in your ear, “I must say, you’ve got quite the charm. Lord Malleus rarely accepts invitations. You might be more important to him than you think.”
You snort. “Yeah, well, maybe he just really likes fruit.”
Lilia laughs, a sound that’s equal parts endearing and dangerous. “Or maybe he enjoys your company, hm?”
“Careful,” you say, flashing a grin. “Keep sweet-talking me like that, and I might start flirting back.”
Lilia’s eyes gleam with amusement. “Oh? I think I’d enjoy that.”
Oh god, he’s not backing down. Now you’re in the deep end. “Listen, if you keep going, I’m gonna have to ask if you’ve got plans for dinner.”
“I’m free this evening,” Lilia replies smoothly. “Shall I prepare a feast? Or perhaps we could have something more… intimate?”
You blink at him, unable to tell if he’s messing with you or if this is just how he operates. Either way, you’re so down to find out.
Before you can respond, Sebek cuts in, voice raised to what can only be described as ‘angry airhorn.’ “You will not speak so casually to Master Lilia!”
“Oh, Sebek, relax,” you say, patting him on the shoulder, which is a mistake because it feels like patting a brick wall. “He likes it.”
Lilia winks at you, thoroughly enjoying the chaos. “Indeed, I do.”
You smirk, shooting Lilia a playful look. “See? The man’s practically begging for attention.”
Malleus, meanwhile, has been watching this entire exchange with mild confusion. “Is this what humans call… flirting?”
You give him an exaggerated nod. “Yup. It’s a sacred tradition. Very serious stuff.”
“I see,” Malleus muses, looking between you and Lilia. “Perhaps I should try it as well?”
“Oh, please don’t,” Sebek groans, looking absolutely horrified at the idea of Malleus flirting. “Lord Malleus, you are above such trivial pursuits!”
Lilia is practically cackling at this point. “Now, now, Sebek. It wouldn’t hurt to let Malleus explore new experiences.”
You grin and elbow Malleus lightly. “Don’t listen to Sebek. You can totally flirt if you want.”
Malleus, sweet as he is, looks completely serious when he asks, “What would I say? I do not wish to offend.”
You pause, trying very hard not to laugh. “Okay, how about this? Try complimenting someone. Like…” You glance around and point at a vendor selling flowers. “Tell them they have lovely flowers.”
Malleus nods, taking this very seriously, and walks over to the vendor. You, Lilia, Sebek, and Silver (who’s been napping the whole time) watch as Malleus, ever the gentleman, says to the vendor, “Your flowers… are as radiant as the moonlight.”
The vendor looks flustered, blushing furiously. “Oh! Thank you, My Lord!”
You can’t help but laugh. “See? You’re a natural.”
Malleus returns to your side, looking pleased with himself. “I believe that went well.”
“Yeah, now you just have to work on *accepting* compliments,” you say with a wink, and Malleus tilts his head slightly in confusion.
“Accepting?”
“Yeah,” you grin, “like, if I were to tell you you’re the sweetest giant fae-dragon puppy I’ve ever met, you’d say…?”
Malleus looks genuinely flustered, his cheeks tinting the faintest shade of pink. “I… would say… thank you?”
“Good enough,” you laugh, nudging him playfully. “We’ll work on it.”
Sebek is muttering to himself about ‘disrespect’ and ‘sacrilege,’ but Malleus looks… happy. Like, really happy. He’s still a little awkward, sure, but you can tell he’s having a good time. Probably more fun than he’s had in years.
Lilia, meanwhile, is back at your side, leaning in close with that smirk of his. “You’re quite the influence, you know.”
“Yeah, well,” you grin, “someone’s gotta drag him into the real world.”
“Perhaps you’ll drag me into something as well?” Lilia purrs, his voice low and teasing.
You blink at him. “Keep talking, and I might actually propose to you.”
“Oh, I’m counting on it,” Lilia says, eyes glinting with mischief. “Perhaps later tonight?”
“Is that an invitation?” you quip, raising an eyebrow.
Sebek practically has steam coming out of his ears. “Master Lilia!”
But Lilia just laughs, utterly unfazed. “Oh, Sebek. You really must learn to loosen up.”
Silver yawns loudly, cutting through Sebek’s rant like a chainsaw through butter. “Can we get food now?”
You snort. “That’s the best idea I’ve heard all day.”
Malleus, ever the polite host, nods eagerly. “Yes, let us dine together. A family outing is not complete without a meal.”
You pause, blinking. Family? Did he just call this a family outing?
Lilia catches your expression and chuckles. “Oh dear, it seems Malleus has grown quite fond of you.”
You shoot him a playful glare. “You make it sound like a bad thing.”
“Not at all,” Lilia says, smiling knowingly. “In fact, I believe it’s quite the opposite.”
Before you can respond, Malleus steps up, still radiating pure joy. “Would you do me the honor of joining me for dinner tonight? I would very much enjoy your company.”
Sebek looks like he’s about to self-destruct from sheer disbelief, but you? You can’t help but grin. “Sure, why not? But if I catch you stealing my dessert, it’s game over.”
Malleus chuckles, his awkwardness fading just a bit. “I shall do my best to restrain myself.”
Lilia leans over, voice low and teasing again. “Perhaps you’ll save dessert for me, hm?”
You snort. “Don’t push your luck, old man.”
“Ah, but I’m a fae. Luck is my specialty.”
You shake your head, grinning as you walk alongside Malleus, who’s positively glowing with happiness. Yeah, this is one weird, dysfunctional family, but maybe you like it that way.
It’s quiet tonight, the kind of quiet that settles deep in your bones, making you feel both peaceful and unbearably restless. You find yourself standing on a balcony, overlooking the courtyard bathed in moonlight. The cool breeze whispers through the trees, the scent of night-blooming flowers drifting lazily through the air.
Lilia stands beside you, leaning against the stone railing, his usual playful demeanor absent. In its place is a rare solemnity, something you’ve only seen glimpses of before. You glance at him, noting the way the moonlight catches in his hair, casting soft shadows across his face. It feels... strange, seeing him like this. So serious, so quiet.
After a long silence, he speaks, his voice soft but weighted with emotion. “I was terrified, you know. Of losing him.”
You don’t need to ask who he’s talking about. Malleus. The curse that had wrapped around him for so long, a dark cloud that threatened to take him away. You had been the unexpected catalyst for breaking it, and while you hadn’t fully understood the gravity of it at the time, you’re beginning to now.
Lilia continues, his gaze fixed on the stars above. “I’ve lived a long time. I’ve seen many things, lost many people... but the thought of losing him...” He trails off, his voice catching in a way that makes your heart ache. “It would have broken me.”
You swallow, unsure of what to say. What can you say to something like that? You’re just... you. You never asked to be involved in any of this, never imagined that you’d become such an important part of these people’s lives. But here you are.
“I didn’t do anything special,” you finally manage, your voice barely more than a whisper. “I was just... there.”
Lilia turns to look at you, and there’s something deep in his eyes—something raw and real that takes your breath away. “Sometimes just being there is enough,” he says quietly. “You saved him. And in doing so, you saved me too.”
You shift uncomfortably, not because of his words, but because of the way they tug at something deep inside of you. A part of you that you’ve been trying to keep buried for as long as you’ve been in this strange, unfamiliar world.
You’re silent for a long time, your gaze fixed on the moonlit sky. The memories of your old life swirl in your mind—your family, your best friend, all the people you’ve left behind. You haven’t spoken about it to anyone here, not in detail. It feels too dangerous, too vulnerable. But standing here, under the moonlight with Lilia, you feel like maybe... just maybe... you can share a piece of it.
“I miss them,” you admit softly, your voice barely above a whisper. “My family. My best friend. I miss... home.”
Lilia doesn’t say anything, but you can feel his presence beside you, warm and steady. He doesn’t press for details, doesn’t ask questions you’re not ready to answer. He just listens, and somehow, that’s enough.
You take a deep breath, the cool night air filling your lungs. “It’s hard,” you continue, your voice shaking slightly. “Being here. Being away from them. Sometimes it feels like... like I’m losing pieces of myself. Like I’m forgetting what it felt like to be... whole.”
Lilia’s hand gently rests on your shoulder, a comforting weight that grounds you. “You haven’t lost yourself,” he says quietly. “Not even a little.”
You close your eyes, letting his words wash over you. You don’t know if he’s right, but in this moment, you want to believe him. You want to believe that despite everything, despite the distance and the pain and the uncertainty, you’re still... you.
For a long time, the two of you stand in silence, the only sounds the soft rustling of the trees and the distant chirping of crickets. The moon hangs heavy in the sky, casting everything in a silvery glow. There’s a quiet understanding between you and Lilia, a shared pain that neither of you needs to fully explain.
Eventually, Lilia speaks again, his voice so soft it almost blends with the wind. “The world can be a cruel place,” he murmurs. “But it can also be kind. And in moments like this... it feels just a little more bearable, doesn’t it?”
You nod, your throat tight with unshed tears. “Yeah,” you whisper. “It does.”
The night stretches on, and though neither of you say anything more, there’s a comfort in the silence. A bond formed in the quiet acknowledgment of each other’s pain. And for the first time in a long while, you feel like you’re not quite so alone.
Maybe, just maybe, you’ll be okay.
You’re not entirely sure how you ended up here, but somehow, you’re on a date with Lilia. Yes, that Lilia—lord of chaos, culinary adventurer, and general source of havoc.
The setting is picturesque enough: a meadow at sunset, complete with wildflowers and a gentle breeze. At least, it would be picturesque if not for the feast Lilia has prepared, which has a worrying amount of color, movement, and mystery.
“Surprise is the key to a romantic evening,” Lilia declares as he gestures proudly over the assortment of dishes.
You take a moment to assess the display. There’s a vibrantly colored stew that seems to be emitting steam with a life of its own. A platter of vegetables is twitching as if they’re reconsidering their life choices. And there’s a pie—definitely a pie—with something that looks suspiciously like an eyeball poking out from under the crust.
Lilia smiles at you, eyes glinting. “Would you like to try the stew first, my dear? It’s my own special concoction.”
You stare at it, then at him. “How many people have survived eating this?”
Lilia leans in, eyes full of mischief. “Define survived.”
You grin. “Only one way to find out, right?” Before he can respond, you reach for the bowl and take a large spoonful of the stew. Lilia’s eyebrows rise, clearly impressed by your boldness.
It tastes... unusual. Like someone mixed spicy peppers, sweet berries, and some kind of very sharp herb. You take another bite, considering.
Lilia watches you, waiting for a reaction. “Well?” he asks, a hopeful glint in his eye.
You swallow, then nod thoughtfully. “It’s... actually good. Really good, in fact.”
Lilia blinks, his expression shifting from mischief to genuine surprise. “Really?”
You nod again, going in for a third bite, savoring the strange combination of flavors. “Yeah! I mean, it’s different, but in a good way. The spice, the sweetness... it kind of works.”
Lilia’s face lights up, his delight palpable. “You truly mean it? My culinary prowess is usually met with... trepidation.”
“Trepidation might be an understatement,” you say with a laugh. “But honestly? I think people don’t give you enough credit.”
From somewhere nearby, a strangled gasp echoes across the meadow.
“Master Lilia!” Sebek’s voice rings out, sounding more horrified than ever. You glance in the direction of the bushes where, sure enough, they’re rustling. Apparently, Sebek has taken it upon himself to supervise this date from afar.
Lilia chuckles, clearly enjoying Sebek's reaction as much as yours. “Oh, my dear Sebek. One day, you shall learn that adventure begins in the kitchen.”
You take a sip of the iridescent liquid before you—a drink that looks more like a potion than anything else. It’s sparkling, and it has the distinct taste of... glittery fruit juice? You’re not sure, but it’s oddly refreshing.
Lilia eyes you, his smile turning softer, more genuine. “I must say, you are full of surprises. Most would have fainted by now.”
“Hey, I can handle a little excitement,” you say, reaching for one of the twitching vegetables.
Lilia watches in awe as you pop it into your mouth and chew. “And?” he asks, almost breathless.
You blink. “Crunchy. Kind of earthy. I like it.”
Lilia’s smile widens, his eyes twinkling with delight. “Oh, how wonderful! My dear, you truly are one of a kind.”
Sebek’s dismayed groan echoes once again, and you laugh, glancing toward the bushes. “I think we’re breaking poor Sebek.”
“Well, that’s part of the fun, isn’t it?” Lilia replies, leaning closer to you. “And speaking of fun, I have something special for you.” He produces a bright blue flower, presenting it to you with a flourish.
You take it, giving it a cautious sniff. It smells like fresh-baked cookies, and you look at Lilia, raising an eyebrow. “A flower that smells like dessert? Now you’re really spoiling me.”
Lilia’s eyes soften, his voice lowering. “Only the best for someone who appreciates my unique touch.”
Before you can reply, there’s another voice—this one distinctly sleepy. “Father, what... what’s going on here?” Silver approaches, looking like he just woke up from a nap. He takes one look at the scene—the half-eaten dishes, the flower in your hand, and Lilia’s delighted expression—and sighs. “Are you actually eating this... willingly?”
You nod, grinning. “Turns out Lilia’s cooking isn’t so bad. It’s actually kind of great.”
Silver looks at you, then at Lilia, then back at you. He blinks, his brain clearly trying to process this information. “Father, are you using magic to manipulate their taste buds?”
Lilia puts a hand over his heart, looking offended. “Silver, how could you suggest such a thing? I assure you, our dear friend here is enjoying my cooking purely of their own volition.”
Silver sighs again, rubbing his temples. “I think I need another nap.”
Lilia laughs, turning his attention back to you, his eyes filled with affection. “You truly are something special, my dear. Few have ever dared, let alone enjoyed, my creations.”
You smile, giving his hand a squeeze. “Well, I guess I’m just full of surprises.”
Lilia leans in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. “Would it be too much to say I find you... irresistible?”
You chuckle, narrowing your eyes playfully. “Don’t push your luck, old man.”
Lilia smirks, his gaze full of warmth. “Ah, but pushing my luck is what I do best. Perhaps next time, I’ll cook an even more adventurous meal for us.”
You pretend to consider it, tapping your chin. “Define adventurous.”
Lilia’s eyes glint mischievously. “How about roasted phoenix feathers?”
“Phoenix feathers?” you echo, shaking your head with a laugh. “You know what? I think I like you just the way you are—absurd cooking experiments and all.”
Lilia’s expression softens, his smile turning tender. “I’m glad to hear it.”
With that, the two of you rise, arm in arm, leaving behind the bizarre remains of the meal. Somewhere in the bushes, Sebek is probably fuming, and Silver has most likely already fallen asleep again.
But as you glance at Lilia, whose eyes are still filled with excitement and warmth, you think that maybe absurd is just what you need.
You love this little family, but you had to gain equal footing with Sebek before you got attached any further. So you did what you thought would work the best— Challenge him in something he enjoys.
You and Sebek had been circling the field for a while now, your horses galloping side by side as you both tried to outpace each other. The competitive tension was thick in the air, though not hostile—it was more of an unspoken game to see who would crack first.
“So, you’re telling me you’ve been riding horses for *years*?” Sebek shouts over the wind, his eyes sharp with determination.
“Yup,” you reply, grinning as your horse picks up speed. “Equestrian club, since I was a kid. Surprised?”
Sebek huffs, his posture straight and rigid as always, but you can tell he’s impressed. “It’s… commendable. For a human, you’ve got some skill.”
“Some skill?” you tease, glancing over at him with a mischievous smile. “Is that all I get? Come on, Sebek, I thought you were competitive.”
He narrows his eyes at you, spurring his horse faster to pull ahead. “I am competitive! You’ll find I do not lose so easily.”
You laugh, nudging your horse to keep up. There’s a thrill in it—pushing each other, but not in a mean way. Sebek’s passion for horse riding matches your own, and it’s fun to finally find common ground with him. Plus, you’re enjoying the challenge.
The field blurs by as you both race toward the far fence, neither of you backing down. As you approach the finish line (or rather, the arbitrary spot you both decided was the end), you both cross it at nearly the same time, pulling your horses to a halt, panting slightly.
Sebek is the first to speak, wiping a bead of sweat from his brow. “Hmph. You’re not bad.”
“Not bad? I’d say I’m pretty good,” you shoot back, grinning ear to ear.
Sebek scoffs, but there’s a lightness in his tone that wasn’t there before. “You’re still a human, but… I’ll admit, you ride with some honor.”
“Wow, high praise,” you tease, but you soften your smile. “Thanks, Sebek. You’re not half-bad yourself.”
For a split second, you think you catch the ghost of a smile on his face, but it quickly disappears as he straightens in his saddle. “Of course. Riding is in my blood.”
You roll your eyes playfully. “Oh, obviously. I bet you were born in the saddle.”
“Perhaps I was,” Sebek says, completely serious. You stifle a laugh, realizing he probably believes that.
But before you can retort, Lilia rides up, his usual mischievous grin firmly in place. “Ah, what’s this? A friendly competition between two of my favorite people?”
“Master Lilia,” Sebek says, immediately shifting into soldier mode. “We were just—”
“Competing, yes, I can see that.” Lilia’s grin widens as he glances between the two of you. “I must say, the sight of you both racing like that was… quite exhilarating.”
You smirk, not missing a beat. “What, did we impress you?”
Lilia leans closer, voice dropping into a playful tone. “Oh, darling, I’ve been impressed by you for quite some time now.”
Sebek looks like he’s about to faint from sheer mortification. “MASTER LILIA! HUMAN!”
You laugh, waving Lilia off. “Careful, Sebek, you’re gonna scare your horse.”
But surprisingly, Sebek doesn’t snap back. Instead, he looks at you, something softer in his expression. “I admit… you’ve shown me something today. Perhaps you’re not just a reckless human after all.”
You raise an eyebrow. “Wow, Sebek. If I didn’t know better, I’d think you’re starting to like me.”
Sebek grumbles, looking away. “Do not mistake my words. I merely acknowledge your competence. Nothing more.”
“Sure, sure,” you reply, still grinning. “But hey, anytime you wanna ride again, I’m game.”
Sebek glances back at you, his usual harshness softened just a bit. “Perhaps… I will take you up on that.”
Lilia chuckles, clearly pleased with the budding camaraderie. “Ah, it warms my heart to see you two bonding. Who knows? Maybe you’ll become the best of friends.”
You wink at Lilia. “Well, if Sebek keeps up, maybe I’ll make him my official riding partner.”
Sebek, for once, doesn’t argue. Instead, he gives a small, determined nod. “We shall see, human. We shall see.”
As you ride back toward the stables, you can’t help but smile. You’ve earned a bit of respect from Sebek, and who knows? Maybe you’ll turn this into a full-fledged rivalry—one with a bit more fun and a lot less shouting.
Lilia, of course, flirts all the way back, making sure to keep the mood light and teasing, much to Sebek’s increasing exasperation. But even he can't deny that today was fun
The day should've been as normal as you could have these days—your stomach had other plans. There’s this nagging craving in the back of your mind for ramen, but of course, you’re stuck in a medieval isekai world where even the concept of instant noodles would make heads explode.
You groan, pacing back and forth in your room. "Ramen, ramen, ramen..." You’re practically chanting it like a spell. Finally, you snap your fingers. "Alright! Let’s get some ramen going!"
With all the determination of a contestant in a cooking show, you head to the market, a list of makeshift ingredients mentally prepared. You have no clue how you’re going to explain seaweed or soy sauce to the vendors, but hey, you’ve gotten this far in life on sheer audacity.
Except, ten minutes later, you find yourself hopelessly lost. You had been walking with confidence, chest out, head high, until you somehow managed to wander into a part of town that definitely wasn’t on your mental map. Instead of bustling vendors and cheerful shoppers, you’re now looking at a spooky, abandoned-looking area, complete with dense fog and suspiciously creaky trees.
“This... This isn’t the market,” you mutter, pausing in front of a seriously ominous cottage. If there were ever a sign that said "DO NOT ENTER" in flashing neon, this would be it. And yet, for reasons unknown even to yourself, you approach.
Before you can bolt in the opposite direction, the door swings open with the most dramatic creak you’ve ever heard. A woman, dressed in black robes, stands in the doorway with a gaze that could curdle milk. Her aura practically screams witch, and not the cool kind either—the villainous, melodramatic kind.
“Well, well, well,” she sneers, stepping out with all the grace of a Broadway villain, “look who wandered into my lair.”
“Uh, yeah...” You trail off, scratching the back of your head. “So… this isn’t the market?”
The witch gives you a look so condescending it could melt iron. “No,” she hisses, “it most certainly is not. You’ve trespassed on my domain, little fool!”
“Right, so sorry about that,” you say, trying to backpedal. “I’m just trying to make some ramen, and I—wait, hold on, who are you exactly?”
Her eyes flash with annoyance. “You don’t know who I am?”
You blink at her. “Is this the part where you tell me, like in those cartoons? ‘Cause I’m getting major ‘I’m about to monologue’ vibes right now.”
The witch’s face twitches, clearly not used to people interrupting her villain speech. “I,” she says, pausing for dramatic effect, “am the witch who cursed Malleus Draconia!”
Oh, that witch. You’ve heard some stories about her, mostly from half-paying attention when your friend geeked out over the original plot. But now that you’re face-to-face with her... this is not how you pictured it. You tilt your head.
“So, wait,” you begin, trying to suppress a snicker, “you’re the one who came up with that whole 15-year curse plan? And your big finale was… what? Swooping in at the last second to save him and then expecting him to marry you?”
Her eyes narrow. “That was the plan.”
You stare at her for a moment, the absurdity sinking in. “...That’s ridiculous.”
“How dare you mock me?!” she shrieks, her voice reaching a pitch that probably scared some birds out of nearby trees. She raises her hand, dark magic swirling between her fingers, and you swear you can hear thunder crack in the distance.
“Okay, hang on,” you say, taking a cautious step back. “Let’s not get all zappy here. I’m just saying that’s a lot of effort for a plan that has, like, a one percent success rate.”
“Silence!” She’s fuming now, throwing her hand forward to launch the magic at you—and you brace yourself for the worst. You’ve seen this in movies before. This is the part where you get turned into a frog or something equally terrible.
Except… nothing happens.
The magic fizzles out midair like a dud firecracker, leaving a puff of smoke and an awkward silence in its wake. You blink. She blinks. You both stare at the spot where the magic should have been.
“Uh…” you begin, rubbing the back of your neck. “Was that supposed to do something?”
The witch looks at her hand, then at you, then back at her hand again like she’s having a serious identity crisis. “What...?”
“I mean, points for the drama, but I’m still standing here,” you say, waving your hand in front of your face as if checking for damage. “And I don’t think I’m a toad.”
She tries again, gathering more magic in her hands and launching it at you with renewed fury. But once again, nothing. The magic stops short, fizzling out like it’s hitting an invisible barrier around you. Now she’s just staring at you, dumbfounded.
You, on the other hand, are absolutely flabbergasted. “Okay, this is getting weird.”
That’s when Lilia appears—literally, out of nowhere. He casually steps out from behind a tree like this is all a normal Monday for him. “Ah, I thought I sensed some familiar mischief afoot,” he says, his voice cheerful, though his eyes glint with something far more dangerous as they lock onto the witch.
The witch recoils, visibly shaken. “Lilia Vanrouge,” she hisses, sounding more like a disgruntled cat than a fearsome sorceress.
“In the flesh,” he says with a light bow, his grin all sharp teeth and mischief. “What brings you out of your little hidey-hole?”
She glares at him but doesn’t say anything. She’s outmatched, and she knows it. With one last seething look at you, she vanishes into thin air with a dramatic whoosh of smoke, leaving you and Lilia alone in the now eerily quiet forest.
You turn to him, utterly confused. “What the heck was that about? Why didn’t her magic work on me?”
Lilia’s grin softens, his gaze turning fond. “Ah, I see I’ve forgotten to tell you. I placed a fae’s blessing on you some time ago.”
“Wait, what?” You gape at him. “When did you do that?!”
He chuckles, as if you asking when he bestowed a magical shield on you is the most amusing thing he’s heard all week. “You tend to attract trouble, my dear. I thought it best to give you a little extra protection.”
You blink at him, still processing. “So… you’ve been secretly protecting me this whole time?”
His gaze turns a bit more serious, the usual playful air dropping away. “I don’t want to see anything happen to you,” he says softly, the words carrying a weight you hadn’t expected.
For a moment, you’re left speechless, flustered even. The teasing and jokes you’re so used to from Lilia are gone, replaced by something… deeper. It throws you off your game.
“Well, uh…” You clear your throat, desperately trying to recover. “I appreciate not getting turned into a frog or whatever she was planning.”
His grin returns, and the moment passes. “You’re welcome. Now, shall we head back to the market? I believe you were on a quest for... ramen, was it?”
You let out a laugh, shaking your head as the absurdity of it all catches up with you. “Yeah, let’s do that. And maybe next time I’ll avoid wandering into spooky villain lairs.”
“An excellent plan,” he says, offering you his arm. “Shall we?”
And just like that, you’re back on track—albeit a bit more shaken than before, but at least you’ve got a magical blessing you didn’t know about and one very charming fae escorting you through the mess.
You’re sitting under a large tree in the courtyard, soaking up the rare bit of peace and quiet that’s fallen over your life. It’s a nice day, the kind that makes you feel all warm and content, the sun shining gently through the leaves. Beside you, Silver is leaning against the trunk, dozing off as usual. You’ve become used to his tendency to fall asleep mid-conversation, and honestly, it’s kind of adorable.
He stirs a little, blinking his sleepy eyes open and looking at you with a soft smile. “It’s nice to have moments like this,” he says, voice a bit groggy. “Especially after everything.”
“Yeah,” you reply, leaning back on your hands. “It’s been... a lot.”
Silver glances at you, his gaze thoughtful. “You really helped us. My family,” he says, his tone a bit more serious than usual. “Freeing Lord Malleus from that curse... it was no small feat.”
Your stomach twists a little at the mention of Malleus. It still feels surreal that you had a hand in such a monumental event. You shrug, trying to play it cool. “Eh, you know... just another day of accidentally stumbling into chaos.”
He chuckles lightly, his smile softening even more. “I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to thank you properly for what you’ve done. You really saved us all.”
You wave your hand dismissively. “Stop, you’re going to make me blush. I was just trying to make some money, and suddenly I’m in the middle of an epic quest. You know how it is.”
Silver hums, half-amused, and then casually drops the bomb on you like it’s the most normal thing in the world: “You’d be perfect with Father.”
Your brain short-circuits. “...Sorry, what?”
Silver, utterly oblivious to the internal crisis he’s just unleashed within you, looks at you with that serene, peaceful expression of his. “Father. You’d be perfect with him.”
The world screeches to a halt. *Perfect? With Lilia?* You stare at him, wide-eyed, your mouth hanging open in a most undignified manner. “I’m sorry, did you just—did you just suggest that I—me—should be with your father?!”
Silver nods, looking completely at peace with his assessment, like he’s just commented on the weather. “Yes. You two get along well. You make each other laugh, and he seems fond of you. And Father... well, he deserves someone who can make him smile like that.”
Your mind is racing at 100 miles per hour. “Silver. SILVER.” You clutch your head as if physically holding your brain together will stop it from spiraling into madness. “Do you have any idea what you just said?”
Silver, ever the calm and composed knight, merely tilts his head. “Was it something strange?”
“STRANGE?!” You’re flailing now, completely losing your cool. “You just casually suggested I should date your father! Who, may I remind you, is an ancient fae with enough power to casually toss me into another dimension if he wanted!”
Silver blinks, seeming to consider this for a moment. “I don’t think he’d toss you into another dimension. He’d probably just... laugh and then take you out to dinner.”
You’re having a full-blown existential crisis. Your face is bright red, your heart is doing somersaults, and you’re not sure if you want to scream, faint, or throw yourself into the nearest fountain.
Silver, meanwhile, is just sitting there, serene and utterly oblivious to the emotional chaos he’s just unleashed upon you. “Father’s a good person,” He says softly. “I think you two would be happy together.”
“I... I...” You sputter, trying to form words but utterly failing as images of Lilia’s teasing smile and playful banter run through your mind. And then you imagine the alternative: Lilia’s serious side, the one that is somehow even more terrifyingly attractive, and you feel your heart skip a beat.
“Oh no,” you whisper, clutching your chest. “Oh no, no, no... Silver, what have you done?”
Silver looks at you with concern now, finally noticing that you’re having what can only be described as a breakdown. “Are you alright?"
“NO!” you cry, standing up and pacing back and forth in front of him. “You’ve broken me! You’ve ruined me! I’m—Silver, your father is... He’s... and I... Oh, gods, this is too much. TOO MUCH!”
Silver watches you pace for a moment before quietly saying, “You’re thinking about it, though.”
You freeze mid-step. “I—NO! Maybe? Yes? I—Why would you say that, Silver?!”
He just smiles, a soft, knowing smile. “Because it’s true.”
You slump back down beside him, groaning loudly as you cover your face with your hands. “You’re impossible, you know that?”
Silver chuckles softly, resting his head back against the tree again. “I’ve heard that before.”
And as you sit there, your mind spinning with thoughts of Lilia and all the ridiculous, impossible implications Silver’s comment has brought to life, you can’t help but think that maybe—just *maybe*—he has a point.
But you’re not ready to admit that yet. Not even to yourself.
“I need a drink,” you mumble under your breath, and Silver hums in agreement.
“Father would probably help you make it,” he says, and you let out a loud groan, flopping onto the grass in dramatic defeat.
“Silver, you’re killing me.”
He just smiles that peaceful smile of his.
It’s a quiet afternoon, the sun beginning to dip below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the courtyard. You’re standing with Malleus and Sebek in one of the palace’s gardens, the tranquil hum of life around you contrasting with the more serious conversation that’s about to unfold. You can feel the weight of what Malleus is about to say, and your mind spins as you prepare yourself for another emotionally charged moment.
Malleus takes a deep breath, his gaze fixed on the distant horizon. “For the longest time,” he begins, his voice soft and filled with an unspoken vulnerability, “I thought I would be stuck. Trapped in that cursed state forever. I had resigned myself to it, believing that it was my fate to be alone.”
You shift slightly, unsure how to respond to such raw honesty. Sebek, standing next to Malleus, is silent for once, his usual loud and defensive nature tempered by the gravity of his lord’s words.
“But then you came along,” Malleus continues, turning his glowing eyes toward you. “You broke the curse, something no one had been able to do. You gave me back my freedom, something I had lost hope of ever regaining.”
Sebek clears his throat loudly, his usual dramatic flair coming to the surface despite the tenderness of the moment. “Yes, well,” he says, voice gruff but tinged with the awkwardness of someone who isn’t quite used to expressing gratitude. “I... suppose we should be... grateful. After all, if it weren’t for you, Lord Malleus would still be... cursed, and we wouldn’t be here together as we are now.”
You blink at Sebek’s begrudging admission, feeling a small smile tug at your lips. The fact that he of all people is thanking you, even in such a roundabout way, is oddly touching.
“Wow, Sebek,” you say, voice teasing but soft. “Who knew you had it in you?”
Sebek bristles at your words, his expression a mix of indignation and embarrassment. “D-Don’t misunderstand!” he exclaims, face turning a shade redder than usual. “I’m merely stating the facts! Nothing more!”
Malleus chuckles softly at Sebek’s outburst, his usual gentle smile returning to his face. “Sebek’s gratitude, no matter how begrudging, is indeed a rarity,” he teases lightly before turning his attention back to you. “But truly, I am grateful. You’ve given me back more than just my freedom. You’ve given me back... this.”
He gestures around him, indicating the garden, the palace, the sky above. “This life, this chance to be with those I care about. And for that, I owe you a debt that I may never be able to repay.”
You shift awkwardly, feeling a strange warmth bloom in your chest. “I mean, I didn’t really set out to save anyone,” you admit, your voice light but with an edge of honesty. “I just... wanted the reward. And then maybe to go home.”
Sebek’s eyebrows shoot up in surprise, and he opens his mouth to argue, but Malleus holds up a hand, stopping him before he can launch into one of his dramatic tirades
You hesitate, glancing between Malleus and Sebek. “I didn’t think I’d get attached,” you admit quietly, your voice softening. “But I have. Somehow, I’ve found myself... caring about all of you. This weird little makeshift family.”
Sebek looks as though he’s about to protest the “weird” part, but a stern glance from Malleus keeps him quiet. You can see the begrudging acknowledgment in his eyes, though—he knows it’s true, even if he doesn’t want to admit it.
Malleus hums thoughtfully, his gaze lingering on you for a moment before he speaks again. “Well,” he says casually, as if discussing something as simple as the weather, “if you’re so attached, perhaps we should make it official. Perhaps you should marry into the family."
You freeze. Did he just—?
You whip your head towards Malleus, completely flustered. “M-Marry?! What?!”
Sebek, on the other hand, looks as if someone just punched him in the face. His mouth opens and closes like a fish gasping for air, his eyes wide with outrage. “L-Lord Malleus, what are you suggesting?!” he sputters.
Malleus blinks, as calm as ever. “I’m suggesting marriage,” he repeats, as if it’s the most logical thing in the world. “If they are so attached to us, it seems a reasonable next step. Perhaps they should marry Lilia?”
Your face turns a bright shade of red as your heart pounds in your chest. “Wh-What?!” you stammer. “Lilia?!”
Sebek turns even redder, his face contorting in disbelief. “Master Lilia?!”
Malleus nods sagely, completely unfazed by both of your reactions. “Yes, Lilia. He has shown great affection for them, and they would fit well within our family. Would you not agree, Sebek?”
Sebek looks like he’s about to explode, but there’s an uncomfortable silence as he realizes… he can’t argue. He knows Malleus and Lilia both care about you. He knows that you’ve proven yourself to be a good person, despite his initial distrust. His mouth twitches, the words clearly struggling to escape his throat.
“I—well—Lord Malleus,” Sebek starts, looking every bit as if he’s been defeated by sheer logic. “I… I must admit… They are a suitable companion for Master Lilia… even if the idea of them marrying… well, it is quite… outrageous.”
You feel your soul leave your body as the conversation continues. Sebek can’t quite bring himself to fully agree, yet he doesn’t outright refuse the idea either. His loyalty to his lords binds him, and his begrudging acceptance of your presence has left him caught between duty and outrage.
“I—This—” you stammer, completely overwhelmed. “I—This is insane!”
Malleus looks at you with a calm smile. “Think it over,” he says, voice gentle. “You’ve already become part of our lives. Why not make it official?”
You open your mouth to protest, but the words die in your throat as you see the sincerity in his eyes. This isn’t just a flippant suggestion—it’s Malleus genuinely offering you a place in his family. But the idea of marrying Lilia? That’s… that’s a whole new level of madness.
“I—I think I need to lie down,” you mutter, pressing your hands to your temples. “This is too much.”
Malleus chuckles softly, and even Sebek seems to relax—if only a little. But as you glance between the two of them, you can’t help but feel a strange warmth in your chest. Even with all the absurdity, you know one thing for sure: you’ve found a place with them, whether you intended to or not.
The cat was just sitting there. Innocently perched on the branch, fluffy and regal like a tiny, judgmental king. You don’t even know what possessed you, really. Maybe it was those huge, adorable eyes or the way its tail flicked back and forth. But somehow, someway, you ended up halfway up a tree. Climbing a tree. For a cat.
“I just wanted to pet you,” you mutter, feeling slightly ridiculous as you hug the branch for dear life. “And now I’m stuck. Great.”
The cat stares at you, completely indifferent to your plight. You sigh, glancing down at the ground, which now seems alarmingly far away. Heights were never your thing, but in the moment, with that cute little furball teasing you, logic flew right out the window. Now, you’re clinging to the tree like a cowardly kitten yourself.
“Why did I think this was a good idea?” you groan. The cat blinks at you. “Don’t look at me like that. This is all your fault!”
And then, because fate has a terrible sense of humor, you hear a voice from below. A familiar, unmistakable voice—playful, with a hint of amusement laced through it.
“Well, well, what do we have here? It appears my dear little beastie has gotten themselves stuck.”
You nearly slip off the branch as you glance down to see Lilia standing at the base of the tree, arms crossed and an infuriatingly amused grin on his face. He looks every bit the mischievous fae, eyes twinkling with barely suppressed laughter.
“I—uh—this is—” You stammer, trying to come up with some kind of excuse, but nothing comes. You’re halfway up a tree. Because of a cat. No explanation is going to save your dignity now.
Lilia tilts his head, chuckling. “Were you planning on living up there from now on? Or should I assist you in returning to the ground?”
“Hey, don’t judge me!” you huff, cheeks burning. “The cat—look at the cat! It was really cute, okay?”
Lilia glances up at the feline, which is now licking its paw in complete disinterest. He raises an eyebrow. “Ah, yes, the cat. I see now. How could anyone resist such a noble creature?”
You groan, feeling your face get even hotter. “I—um—I might need help getting down.”
Lilia’s grin widens. “Of course, my dear. I was planning on catching you anyway.”
You freeze. “C-Catching me?”
“Mmhm. Just jump down, and I’ll catch you,” Lilia says, his tone so casual, as if catching people out of trees is just something he does every day. He spreads his arms out, waiting expectantly.
Your heart races as you eye the distance between the branch and the ground again. It’s not terribly high, but… still high enough to make you nervous. But Lilia’s standing there with that easy confidence, and the thought of staying stuck in this tree forever doesn’t exactly appeal to you either.
Taking a deep breath, you inch closer to the edge of the branch. “O-Okay. I’m going to jump.”
“Go ahead,” Lilia says, his voice soft. “I’ll catch you.”
With one last look at the disinterested cat, you finally push yourself off the branch. For a split second, there’s nothing but the rush of air—and then you feel yourself land securely in Lilia’s arms. You’re caught. Easily, gently. Like it was nothing at all.
He looks down at you, his face much closer than you anticipated. “See? I told you I would catch you.”
You’re breathless for a moment, your heart doing flips as you realize just how close you are to him. His arms are around you, holding you steady, and you can feel the warmth of his body through his clothes. He’s staring at you with that soft, amused smile, and you’re suddenly acutely aware of just how handsome he is.
“Oh no,” you whisper to yourself, “I’m swooning.”
Lilia raises an eyebrow. “Hmm?”
“Y-You’re really smooth,” you blurt out before you can stop yourself. “Like, catching me so easily and looking at me like that. It’s—it’s really unfair.”
He chuckles softly, clearly entertained by your flustered state. “Unfair, you say?”
“Yeah, like—like, you’re so effortlessly cool and charming, and I—” You freeze, suddenly realizing what you’re saying. You clamp your mouth shut, but it’s too late. The words are out, and your brain has completely short-circuited.
And then, before you even know what’s happening, the words just spill out of you in a panicked rush. “Okay, I like you! No, wait—I think I’m in love with you! I mean, how could I not be? You’re so amazing, and I just—Oh god, I’m confessing! I’m confessing right now, aren’t I? This is a confession. Oh no, this is terrible. I didn’t mean to—”
You feel your entire body heat up as you bury your face in your hands, completely mortified. Of all the ways you could’ve confessed your feelings to Lilia, this had to be the worst possible way. You weren’t ready! You were supposed to be calm and collected, not blurting it out after getting caught in a tree!
For a moment, there’s silence. And then, you hear the softest chuckle from Lilia. His arms tighten around you slightly, pulling you just a little closer.
“You’re adorable,” he says, his voice soft and full of warmth.
You peek through your fingers, confused. “Huh?”
“I’ve known for a while that your feelings for me were more than friendly,” Lilia continues, his smile gentle. “But hearing you confess like this… it’s endearing.”
You blink, trying to process his words. “Wait—you’ve known?”
Lilia nods. “You’re not as subtle as you think, my dear.”
You groan again, hiding your face in your hands once more. “This is so embarrassing…”
Lilia laughs softly, and before you know it, he leans in and presses a light, gentle kiss to your forehead. Your heart skips a beat, and you lower your hands, looking up at him in surprise.
“There’s no need to be embarrassed,” Lilia says, his eyes soft. “I’m honored to be the one you’ve chosen.”
Your heart flutters as his words sink in, and you realize that, despite your mortification, he’s… accepting your feelings. He’s not teasing you or brushing it off—he’s genuinely acknowledging your confession. And more than that… he’s reciprocating.
“Lilia…” you whisper, your face still burning with embarrassment, but also with a warmth that you can’t quite describe.
He leans in a little closer, his nose brushing against yours. “You don’t need to say anything more, my dear. Just know that I feel the same.”
And with that, Lilia closes the distance between you, his lips meeting yours in a soft, sweet kiss that makes your heart race even faster. All thoughts of your earlier panic melt away, replaced by the warmth of his touch and the feeling of being completely safe in his arms.
As he pulls back, you’re left staring at him, wide-eyed and breathless. Lilia smiles down at you, his eyes twinkling with amusement and affection.
“So,” he says, his voice teasing, “was that worth climbing a tree for?”
You blink, still dazed from the kiss. “I… I think so.”
Lilia laughs softly, pressing another quick kiss to your lips before setting you down on the ground. “Next time, though, perhaps we’ll find a more dignified setting for your confessions, hmm?”
You groan, covering your face again as you mutter, “Please don’t remind me…”
But despite your embarrassment, you can’t help the small, giddy smile that creeps onto your face as you realize that, somehow, things turned out perfectly anyway.
You sit with Lilia on a bench beneath the shade of a massive oak tree, the same one he caught you from, nerves simmering beneath your calm exterior. He’s as composed as ever, leaning back against the tree with a small, amused smile playing on his lips.
Across from you sit Malleus, Silver, and Sebek, all three watching you with varying degrees of curiosity—Malleus with calm interest, Silver with that sleepy, gentle acceptance, and Sebek with what you’re sure is the beginning of a tirade bubbling just beneath the surface.
“We have some news,” Lilia says, breaking the silence with his usual playful tone. His hand slips into yours, squeezing lightly. “About us.”
Malleus’s eyes light up with interest, his draconic gaze honing in on the subtle intertwining of your hands with Lilia’s. “News?” he repeats, leaning forward slightly. “What sort of news?”
You exchange a glance with Lilia, and he gives you a nod, as if to say go on, it’s safe. Taking a deep breath, you steel yourself and blurt out, “We’re together. Like, romantically.”
There’s a beat of silence.
Then Malleus’s eyes widen, his entire face brightening with delight. “Truly?” he asks, a rare, genuine smile spreading across his face. “That is wonderful news! You will be joining the family then?”
You blink, momentarily thrown off by how happy he is. “Uh, well—eventually, I guess. We haven’t exactly planned a wedding yet…”
“But when we do,” Lilia interjects smoothly, eyes glinting with amusement, “you will be the first to receive an invitation, Malleus.”
Malleus beams, the delight practically radiating off him like sunlight. “I would expect no less. To witness your union—ah, it will be a grand day.”
Meanwhile, Silver gives you both a small, approving nod. His expression is calm, though there’s a softness in his eyes that shows he’s happy for you. “I’m glad,” he says, his voice as gentle as ever. “Father deserves someone who makes him happy. And you… you seem to do that.”
Your heart warms at the approval from Silver. “Thanks, Silver,” you say, offering him a smile in return.
And then there’s Sebek.
For a moment, he just stares at you and Lilia, his mouth working as if he’s trying to form words. You brace yourself for the inevitable protest, expecting him to shout something about how inappropriate it is, or how you could never be good enough for Lilia, or—
“You…” Sebek finally speaks, though his tone is less outraged than you anticipated. He scowls, but there’s an undeniable hint of reluctant acceptance in his eyes. “You’re together, then?”
Lilia nods, his smile never wavering. “Indeed, Sebek.”
Sebek inhales deeply, closing his eyes as if preparing for some kind of inner battle. You can almost hear him wrestling with his instincts, wanting to object but also unable to deny the truth of the situation. After a long pause, he finally exhales and mutters, “Well… I suppose… if it makes Master Lilia happy, then…”
You’re about to breathe a sigh of relief when Sebek opens his eyes again, pointing an accusatory finger at you. “But that does not mean you should grow complacent! Just because Master Lilia has chosen you does not mean you are exempt from proving yourself worthy!”
Lilia laughs softly at Sebek’s stubbornness, and you can’t help but grin. “Of course, Sebek,” you say, teasing him lightly. “I’ll do my best to live up to your high standards.”
Sebek huffs, crossing his arms. “See that you do.”
Despite his bluster, you can tell he’s not truly upset. There’s a begrudging acceptance in his stance, the same way someone might finally accept that their favorite hero isn’t perfect, but still worthy of respect. Sebek might not be able to fully wrap his head around the idea of you and Lilia being together, but deep down, you can tell he doesn’t disapprove. Not really.
Malleus, meanwhile, is still beaming. “I look forward to your wedding,” he says, sounding genuinely excited. “It will be a grand celebration. And I will be the first to celebrate your union.”
You laugh, finally feeling the tension melt away. “You’ll be the first to get an invitation, don’t worry.”
Lilia squeezes your hand again, his eyes warm as he looks at you. “Indeed,” he says softly, “and I think it will be a lovely celebration.”
As you sit there, surrounded by Lilia’s peculiar little family, you can’t help but feel a swell of emotion. For all their eccentricities—Malleuss dragon-like mannerisms, Silver’s sleepy but sincere approval, and Sebek’s stubborn loyalty—you’ve somehow found yourself among people who care. Who, in their own ways, are happy to see you and Lilia together.
And as you glance at Lilia, who’s still watching you with that fond, amused expression, you realize something important: this makeshift family of fae and knights… they’ve accepted you.
Flaws and all.
The living room felt a little too tense for your taste today. You were sprawled out on a chair, arms crossed, listening to the absurd conversation that seemed to have spiraled out of control.
Malleus, sitting at the head of the table, had the "serious prince" expression that made you roll your eyes every time you saw it. Lilia was perched on the back of his chair, his legs dangling, thoroughly amused by the current predicament. Sebek stood in his usual soldier-like stance, ready to protect everyone from... squirrels, apparently. And Silver was doing his best to stay upright while leaning on a wall. He was losing that battle.
“It’s time to discuss the prophecy” Malleus said, his voice carrying an ominous weight you found ridiculous. “The Squirrel Plague will bring misfortune. Entire kingdoms will fall to their tiny paws.”
You blinked. “We’re seriously talking about squirrels?”
Lilia nodded with an overly grave face. “Indeed, my dear. Squirrels are resourceful creatures. Vicious even, if the stories are true.”
Sebek puffed up his chest, eyes blazing with his trademark fervor. “MY LORD, IF THOSE RODENTS BELIEVE THEY CAN THREATEN YOU—"
You leaned forward, waving your hand dismissively. “Alright, alright, let's not hype up the squirrels too much, okay? This whole situation is ridiculous.”
Silver, who had just about managed to pry his eyes open, muttered, “It’s not just the squirrels. I heard some people talking about... uh, the Saint being accused of spying or something.”
The room fell into silence for a second, everyone digesting that little bombshell.
Lilia’s grin widened as if the idea of spies delighted him. “Spies, you say? This is getting quite intriguing.”
You groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. “Yeah, no thanks. Squirrels are bad enough, but spies? I’m not dealing with this.”
Malleus turned towards you, a slight frown on his lips. “I assumed you wished to stay here. You haven’t mentioned wanting to leave before.”
You sighed, shrugging. “I mean, I don't have any attachments to this place. I stayed because you guys were here. But right now, let's bounce. Immediately. The squirrels can have this place.”
Silver, rubbing his eyes, nodded. “They're right. It’s a lot of hassle, and honestly, the squirrels are starting to weird me out. I saw one trying to chew through the wall this morning.”
Sebek turned to Silver with his mouth agape. “A SQUIRREL DARED TO ATTACK OUR DOMAIN?!”
Lilia chuckled, nodding. “They’re getting bolder, indeed. I even had one throw an acorn at me this morning. It was a declaration of war, I tell you.”
You waved your hands at them. “Guys, seriously. I don’t care if we’re at war with the squirrels. I just don’t want to be here. Briar Valley sounds much nicer, doesn’t it? No plagues, no spy accusations, no rabid rodents.”
Malleus blinked at you, then slowly smiled. “If you wish to leave, then there’s no reason for us to stay. I thought perhaps you'd not want to leave the place you grew up in, that you would be attached.”
“Attached?” You gestured dramatically at the window, where you swore you could see a squirrel watching with beady little eyes. “Nope. I’m only attached to you four, and I’m not risking my life for some acorn-flinging rodents.”
Silver yawned, already giving in. “I say we go. Less hassle, more sleep.”
Lilia gave a theatrical sigh leaning on Malleus. “Well, I suppose the adventure ends here. Back to Briar Valley it is! And I’ll be sure to bring along some acorns... perhaps we can keep the spirit of battle alive.”
Sebek, his voice still full of misplaced enthusiasm, nodded fiercely. “IF MY LORD DECIDES TO RETURN, THEN I SHALL ENSURE OUR JOURNEY IS WITHOUT PERIL! THE SQUIRRELS SHALL NOT—”
You interrupted with a grin. “Yes, yes, Sebek. You’ll protect us from the squirrels. Good job.”
Lilia hopped off Malleus’s chair, already halfway to the door. “I’ll go prepare the portal. Who knows, maybe we can get there in time for the fireflies.”
You got up too, stretching and giving one last look at the living room. “I think I’ve had enough of prophecies, plagues, and espionage.”
Lilia grins "Maybe we could have our wedding in Briar Valley". Malleus, now entirely on board, nodded with regal finality. “Then we shall return to Briar Valley. I trust the squirrels will not miss us.”
Lilia snickered, and you felt him squeeze your shoulder. “Perhaps we should bring a souvenir,” he mused. “A squirrel, perhaps, as a reminder of this peculiar little chapter of our lives.”
You shook your head, laughing. “I think I’d rather forget it altogether.”
With that, you and your four favorite Briar Valley residents left—leaving behind the squirrels, the spies, and every bit of drama that had nothing to do with you. Peace, it turned out, was just a portal away.
With that, the group made their decision—no heroic stand against the prophecy, no attempts to sort out spy dramas. Just a swift, sensible retreat to where things were far less complicated. And honestly? That suited you just fine.
Alright! I liked writing this a lot, It's not as chaotic as my other isekai ones but I like how it turned out!
Also if the formatting is off, I'm so sorry but I fell spectacularly on my ass while ice-skating and can't sit long enough to edit on my laptop.
Also quick poll for the next trash novel one, I'll definitely finish all of them, this is just for which one should I post first. They're all almost done.

Idia Shroud, who..
...can't fathom how you ever got around to talking to him. He was convinced you were too good for him.
...seems to be a bit more gloomy than usual.
—oh, no, it's not you. He just can't process how such a lovely human being could ever be his friend.
...can't believe it's been so long since you've first DM'ed him. He didn't even have to do anything at all.
...has a hard time believing you wouldn't up and find someone else to befriend. You're.. probably his first genuine friend. Why wouldn't you want to stay good friends with him?
...is your closest online friend. You've met a little short over a year ago, and now he's a little too attached.
...is one of your closest confidants. Despite not being friends with you in person, you trust him with major things, like your game accounts, your Magicord account, your IP address <3
...is your duo on most games. You support him, and oftentimes, he lets you carry.
...doesn't trust you when you say that your "friends" are only with you to hang out. They must have ulterior motives, no?
...is very, very fortunate he installed an app that lets him see through your webcam. You were so ethereal, it was unbelievable.
...thinks you look like a masterpiece crafted by the very hands of a god themselves. This is who he's been talking to all this time? He's breath-taken.
...starts slowly getting insecure every time you try and turn down his offers to game together. His mind starts going to the worst possible places imaginable.
...can't have you getting any ideas of leaving him. You're basically his best friend, dare I say his platonic? lover. You put your Minecraft beds together. You went to the Heart Island on Genshin Impact with him. He does all your dailies for you whenever you aren't available, and vice versa. You're practically married at this point.
...is waiting for the right time to strike. Not now, but soon. You shouldn't suspect it. If he fails, he risks losing his beloved friend.
...monitors you closely. It's just a matter of time, you know. After all, you're playing hard to get. And Idia does love a good challenge.
...watches your every move. You like to sing in the shower, don't you? You sound so talented.. undeserving of someone like him. You enjoy the company of cats? How coincidental.. he does too. You have so much in common already.
...has your room set up next to his. You'll live with him, eventually. When he finds the courage to do it.
Idia Shroud, who will forever be your Player 1. Won't you be his Player 2, too?
long note below here, skip if not interested
A/N: hello :)
it's been a while, how have you all been?
i apologize for being on a hiatus of some sort. and for the rushed and short idia post T-T
it's going to be the start of a busy year for me, i am graduating after all.
i have lots of posts i need to publish and rewrite, but unfortunately my schedule is too packed, and the only times i feel free enough to write are after-school hours, which are 8 pm - 12 am for me.
i might just end up reuploading more fics from my old blog, or writing a bit more for other series i'm into. (hxh, obey me, twst, mlbb, genshin, and hsr <3 perhaps trese if anyone's heard about it? 👀)
but if i ever come back to posting, what kind of content would you guys like to see?
my requests and inbox(?) are always open. please do drop by and say hello, or drop a request you would like to see written by me. i find that requests or ideas from others often get my brian going.
if you wish to find me elsewhere, my tiktok and my discord users are both pakunod.a :)
i would like to come back again with posts for you to read, or a few of my practice drawings for you to see.
perhaps in the future. :)
as always, stay safe, keep yourself healthy, stay hydrated, and always love yourself. <3

VERY LONG COMMENT!
Appreciation Comment + comment on the chapter ( basically me rambling for a very long time) ♡
The way I dropped everything I was doing the second, I saw the notification for House of Alpha chapter 14. (≧ヘ≦ )
I remember finding the series when there were only 3 chapters out, and I've never been more grateful to have found it! I absolutely adore the series (and all of your other work too! I found you through Bloody Summer on AO3~) (σ≧▽≦)σ
I love your ideas, your style of writing, the plot, the cringe, and 2nd hand embarrassment I get when reading. I adore you! Did I say how much I adore you? Well I absolutely adore you! ( ≧∀≦)ノ
ANYWAYS, enough rambling about how much I adore you and your work, LET'S TALK ABOUT CHPATER 14!!
When the explosion went off and I started freaking out along with Raven... I was about to fight whoever was going to hurt my babies (the alphas are everything but babies but they're my babies!) (ノ`Д´)ノ彡┻━┻
Then, when I read that Nanami was injured and was bleeding, I was about to throw hands at the monster! Luckily (but still unlucky), it was just the poison... I need Nanami to be healthy again!! =(っ*´□`)っ
And then Satoru.
I'm biased since Satoru is my favorite, BUT THE WAY, MY HEART BROKE WHEN HE THOUGHT WE HATED HIM!!! I was screaming and crying no and how much I loved him. I need to hug my baby and smother him in my love. 。・(つд`。)・。
AND THEN THE ENDING OF THE CHAPTER! Had me screaming from the kiss, and now I'm so excited for the next chapter! Time is moving too slow for me, I want to know what happens next, and I absolutely can't wait! (Take your time. This is just me being annoying–) 。。(〃_ _)σ∥
I seriously can't believe this story came to you in a dream. Why can't it happen to me too!? I seriously can't imagine it. If the story came to me in a dream, I would have been so upset when I woke up! Like, let me go back to dreaming where I can have hot guys in my personal space! (´□`; 三 ;´□`)
OK, LAST COMMENT I PROMISE!
This is actually my first time ever commenting despite reading and liking everything from you, so I'm just going to say, FROM NOW ON, I will leave a comment (on tumblr) on everything! If I don't, come and scold me because I need to smother you in affection for creating these masterpieces!! No, seriously, please remind me if I ever forget to smother you in affection because you absolutely deserve it! I'm counting on you to remind me if I forget to comment!
゚+.ヽ(≧▽≦)ノ.+゚
PS: Did I tell you how much I love you and your work?
PPS: You actually were one of the 2/3 writers who inspired me to start writing! Although it's still a work in progress because it's easier to imagine than write and because I'm procrastinating–
PPPS: I LOVE YOU FOR EXISTING AND CREATING THESE MASTERPIECES. I'M DETERMINED TO SMOTHER YOU IN AFFECTION!!!!
*Squeals and cry at the same time*
I like to type my response while reading a long comment but I’m already giggling and smiling like a damn idiot 🥹
I’m so glad you found me~ bloody summer was such a long time ago oh wow 😂. I have changed so much since my friend and I started that one. Sometimes I read it and hiss a bit, it is quite dark. I might rewrite it in my style? (Is that a writing style? I dunno I’m kind of new to this lol.) I was once a sadistic bean but I am now turned into a mushy chef 👩🍳(I swear I blame gege it’s his fault and I will raise my fist to the sky till the day I rest). Maybe I should change my name to chef’s kisses XD.
*giggles and kicks my feet some more* I swear i can’t stop smiling while reading this my cheeks hurt 😭.
Ooo~ just in case someone didn’t read chapter 14 yet I’ll put a spoiler warning hehe 🤭
⚠️House of alpha Chapter 14 Spoiler warning engage ⚠️
Yes 🥺, they are our psycho little pack but we must take care of them because they are silly and stupid at times.
I know our poor Nanami baby 😭🖤 (we are doing our best)
I’m bias about all the characters, my daddies can do nothing wrong XD. Gojo feeling sad because he’s feeling left out makes me do tha aaaahh~ poor bebe~
House of alpha is one of those stories where I’m writing a chapter and have to stop myself because I’m writing into the next chapter. I had planned to make chapter 14 longer but it was already peaking 4k and you know Gojo is going to want more from that kiss because he’s greedy 👀~. I also had fell asleep like right after I posted hahah. I was so mad when my work didn’t save I stayed up all night to finish it so don’t worry I’ll try to get that next chapter to you ASAP~ I do have two children that are not yet out the house (Looks at Desert Rose and House of Alpha stories) I must love them both equally so the next post will be for Desert Rose ~ don’t worry she’s almost old enough lol (not me treating my stories like kids XD) 🖤
Oh! Yes! I have very interesting dreams. I have so many ideas that I have to close off because I need to finish the stories I have lol. I like to focus on one or two stories at a time.
So~ I don’t think I can tell you how fucking hilarious it was when i ran away in my dream from the omega house. In my dream I actually was on the boat getting ready to sail. I was leaning on the side looking out at the beautiful ocean while taking a deep sigh. Like damn those were some hot ass alphas, I’ll never get that experience but oh well~ The captain sounded the bell for us to go but then stopped mid ring. that’s when two men stepped up beside me. Sukuna was snacking on fingers (he was a lot more gruesome in my dream. Like he actually killed miwa in my dream because he got pissy of the food she served him so I made sure to save her in the actual story and made that part part of the game story if that makes sense) while Toji just leaned on the side to admire the view with me. And Toji was like nice view Huh? And sukuna was like yeah imma stop you right here I don’t like boats get the fuck off And I looked at them like WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE?! And toji was like oh we were just seeing where you were going but let’s stop it here prime omega. And the complete shock I felt when they told me they chose me sent me flying over board as I swam away and ran because I just can’t accept nice things XD. yeah hehe my dream was more of the smutty bits and plots lol I don’t want to spoil it 🤭.
But when I woke up I was left in awe. It was like i watched a really good movie but I can’t tell anyone to watch it because it doesn’t exist so I gotta retell the story like tenacious D singing their tribute to the greatest song in the world but it was the greatest reverse harem issekai in the world 🤣🖤. I was like the people must know of this story !
Omg! 😭 this comment was already worth a thousand comments hahah! And I love to spoil so please don’t feel obligated, it just makes me so happy to even read this 🖤. I waited till the morning to read it since I was super tired when I finished chapter 14 I wanted to make sure I could really indulge in your comment. I saw it before bed and couldn’t stop smiling because I wanted to read it this morning lol. I feel like I just drank a cup of coffee and I’m so excited to start my morning so thank you, this meant a lot to me. You could have literally put I love you and I would have been grinning all day 🖤🤭.
Oh! I love love love when others are inspired to write so please if you need help let me know! I write stories I want to read 😭😭😭! I have bookmarks of fanfics that haven’t been updated since last year, I am desperate for more fanfics haha!
Oh wow I typed so much I am so sorry sometimes when I get excited I can’t stop typing XD
P.S: I love YOU and will do my best to spoil you with more to eat. I love to feed and please👩🍳🖤

🎂🎉HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZI 🎉🎂
@farfromstrange bestie I know I'm late and I'm so so sorry BUT I FINALLY FINISHED WHAT I MEANT TO MAKE FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY
I honestly had no idea what to make for your birthday because I wanted to write a fic for you, but I had nothing original to write, so I started scrolling through your fics for inspo lol and I started rereading all your masterpieces, and I thought...hmmm why not? (tbh i was about to start writing something about matt's hands bc i know how much we love them but I figured I shouldn't drop smut for your birthday 😭)
I know we talked about us making random moodboards whenever we're bored, so I thought it was perfect to make one for your fics because your writing is always so amazing, it inspires me to do random things. I'm not sure if it captures the vibe you had in mind for your fic or if I completely butchered it (pls yell at me if I did bestie), but Do No Harm was just so fucking amazing that I wanted to throw together the vibes I got from it because I'm always in love with your writing. I[m sorry this is all I could make bc you deserve the world and so so much more <3
Anyways happy birthday to my best friend in the entire fucking world, I love you so so much, and I'm pretty sure this is a also little past our one year anniversary of our friendship platonic marriage being so unhinged together, so I guess it's also happy anniversary to us, and tysm for that bestie bc you made my year so much better by being in it. Still can't believe I get to have you as my best friend bc you're the best I could ever ask for, and you've literally brightened my entire life since you came into it.
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BESTIE, AND HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY 🎇🎉🖤
I know it's not the best, but I threw all my limited editing skills into this, and I tried to add as many small details that I could pick up from your fic into here, and I will definitely be telling you all about them
Looking at this again, maybe I should've just made us another marriage certificate 😭😭 ....ifykyk
Also I know you were still sick like a week ago, and I really hope you got better before your birthday, but if not, IM MANIFESTING G0OD VIBES FOR YOU TO RECOVER BC ILYSM BESTIE
#im sorry if this is hot trash 😭#i tried my hardest i swear#BUT HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD#I LOVE YOU SM BESTIE#I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER#i wish i could give you a physical gift#BUT IM SENDING ALL MY LOVE TO YOU <3#matt murdock#matt murdock fanfic#daredevil

Guys...
I literally lost my phone right after posting that
but I just found out that my watch has a find my phone feature
and now I have it again
So here is my full review and my (kinda spoiler free) recommendation and my rants about ToG 7 (which I finished at 3.30 am last night)
The chaos has started.
10/10 ⭐️
-Recommendation
If you've already read through the whole series and are just scared of how fricking thick it is. Don't be.
This book might be hella thick and I might have dropped it onto my nose more than one time BUT not a single page was wasted.
Every page in this book is totally worth it!!!
This absolute masterpiece is for all the fantasy lovers. For all those who love epic battles as much as the sacrifices that come with them. For the readers who prefer jaw dropping turns over endless pages of smut. But still like the tension between lovers. For the ones who still believe in a better world and know the pain of losing your better half. Your lover, your family, your mate or your best friend.
This is for anyone who wants to cry, laugh, scream and die a little inside with the main characters and even the ones who just appear for a second (or shall I say a page?)
Spoilers ahead
-Review
This is the cherry on top of one of the greatest series of all time.
I loved every single of those 1100 pages of the German edition.
I would have loved if Aelin kept her full powers anyway. But sacrifices have to be made. And it's better than dead.
Honestly I only cared about the Povs of Lysandra, Aedion, EVANGELINE, Aelin, Rowan, Lorcan and Elide.
Most of the time Manon too.
but Dorian?
I just don't like him
Even in Morath, I got bored while reading his Pov. I can't describe it. I was just so utterly uninterested in his thoughts and doings.
I loved the amount of smut in this book. Just a bit, nothing that significant.
-Rants
Rowan this, Rowan that. BUT SARTAQ!!! That boy can have my heart
I HAVE NEVER CRIED SO MUCH OVER A BOOK. I CAN'T EVEN BREATH. I loved the thirteen. They were so precious to me. I hate SJM for doing this to my little babies. They can't ever see their home. Their wastes. Imma go cry even more (I've got really ugly photos of me during this)
Spoilers over
This will be everything. I know it's not that much but I just started this blog.
Thank you for reading
May the chaos return one day.
----Cas

My Hero Academia Pride Headcanons (Pro Hero Edition)
If you'd like to see my headcanons for the 1-A kids plus Shinsou, it's linked here!!!
This is all about the Pro Heroes!!
Except, not all the Pro Heroes because that would be ridiculously long, and there are a lot of Pros I don't care about or just plain don't know what their sexuality would be.
You think I know the romantic trysts of a washing machine??
You think I know who Best Jeanist likes?? Mans too busy dying and resurrecting over and over to go on any dates.
So, this list will talk about only the Pros I'm interested in covering.
Disclaimer: These are my own thoughts and opinions. This is how I’m choosing to engage with this media in this post. There are other ways to engage with a chosen media and neither way of engagement invalidates the other. Art is subjective. Fandom is ultimately for fun! Don’t take me too seriously!
Now that the long introduction is out of the way:
Yagi Toshinori | All Might (he/him): Bisexual
Not only did All Might have an American Romance™️ with David Shield, not only did he have an on again/off again with Sir Nighteye, but I'm here to convince you that he is married to his Good Friend™️ Detective Tsukauchi Naomasa.
Go on, tell me I'm wrong. Why does this random police officer know the OFA secret when not even David Shield does, huh??? Tell me. You can't. They're married.
Oh and some people ship All Might with Midoriya's mom and that's valid, I guess. You do your thing, people!
I just don't think All Might is straight. I gave him the Bi-label arbitrarily. He could be pan or gay or something else feasibly. That's the fun thing about headcanons. you can make it the Fuck up!
(but I do like to be realistic within a certain parameter to how the character is written and I just think All Might and the Detective are sus)
Todoroki Enji | Endeavor (he/him): Straight
Some people write Endeavor as homophobic and while I think that's not an out of there interpretation, I think it's more nuanced.
I don't think he's homophobic in the outright hate sense. I think he's obsessed with power and lineage, and that manifests in his control of Shouto specifically.
So, if Fuyumi brought home a girlfriend or Natsuo brought home a boyfriend, it wouldn't be a big deal.
But Shouto bringing a boyfriend would be an issue because Endeavor wants the Ultimate Hero. To do what he couldn't do. That would be hard if his masterpiece brought a boy home.
This is beyond the scope of this discussion, but I do think Endeavor is allowed to atone for his mistakes and abuse. I don't believe he's afforded forgiveness from anyone he's hurt, and he absolutely deserves consequences, but Enji himself is allowed to do better and want to do better.
Where it's relevant to this discussion is I believe he'd drop that mindset against Shouto once he realized it was an overreach of his power and hurting his son. He'd eventually get to a point where he's not as controlling and not as much of an asshole.
Takami Keigo | Hawks (he/him): Bisexual
He's got the charisma! The flamboyance! The Trauma! He's Pro Hero Hawks! All the women and men swoon for him and he's got his pick of the market!
That is, if he actually had time. No, he's too busy making sure his city's safe. Too busy being held in a cage by a combination of Hero Commission conditioning and his own ideals.
Oh and let's not forget that he's spending all his off-hours at the behest of his side-job as a LOV spy.
It's a good thing one of their members is hot. Literally and figuratively. At least it gives him something to look at while he's trying to keep himself together, and oh no, he's caught feelings-
Usagiyama Rumi | Mirko (she/her): Sapphic
She's a lesbian. Most of the time. She likes girls. Loves them. Would date them.
So why is she sleeping with wanted criminal Shigaraki Tomura-
ijessbest on insta made me like this cursed ship so much!! To me, at least, it's a purely physical thing for both parties.
I think she's romantically and physically attracted to women, but also physically attracted to men?? That's my idea, anyway.
Aizawa Shouta | Eraserhead (he/him): Gay
Aizawa would be happy with just his cats and coffee, really, but he just had to like men. And specifically the loudest blond on the planet.
Aizawa absolutely had a crush on Oboro in high school. It's not clear what would've happened if he'd survived. Maybe he would have ended up with Oboro. Maybe they'd have split up. Maybe he was always meant to end up with Hizashi. Aizawa doesn't dwell on it. What happened happened and he wouldn't trade what he has now with Hizashi for anything.
Yamada Hizashi | Present Mic (he/him): Bisexual
On the opposite side of things, Hizashi laid eyes on the transfer student from the support course and was immediately smitten. He was not subtle about it either. He made Shouta a playlist, a playlist, and Shouta said "thanks, but I don't use spotfiy" and Hizashi cried for weeks. Nemuri won't let him live it down even to this day.
Years later, when Shouta asked him out, he nearly busted both their eardrums from the shock of it. He really thought all this time it had been unrequited, and he wasn't about to even attempt to bring up the idea of a relationship after Oboro.
Now they're happily married and Hizashi makes them do cute couple-y things together all the time. But not in front of the kids.
They're actually pretty subtle about it. Not even Midoriya picked up on it, and he picks up on everything. He only realized after Aizawa adopted Shinsou and noticed Hizashi also treating Shinsou like his own.
Kayama Nemuri | Midnight (she/her): Bisexual
Mostly men-attracted, but that doesn't make her any less bi. I also like the idea of her quirk working best on people who are attracted to her, not necessarily guys. I personally ship her with Ms. Joke actually.
Fukukado Emi | Ms. Joke (she/her): Lesbian
Emi (a lesbian) continually asks Aizawa (a gay man) to marry her because she finds it very funny! She likes annoying the shit out of Aizawa. But she likes women. When Emi asked Mic for his friend's number, Mic was about to have a fit before Emi explained it was Midnight's number she wanted. Mic quickly got with the program and (not-so-subtly) encouraged their relationship along.
Nishiya Shinji | Kamui Woods (he/him): Pansexual
As my Pan sister says: Everyone's eligible but none have applied. (or so he thinks)
I don't think he's had much luck with dating, despite being a pro. Is it because of his costume? Will he ever find love? He just hopes it's someone he likes and not someone egotistical like Mt. Lady. Could you imagine him dating her-
Tatsuma Ryuuko | Ryukyu (she/her): Lesbian
Lesbian Dragon Lady!!! Why, you may ask? Vibes. Would marry the Lesbian Dragon Lady.
Sakamata Kugo | Gang Orca (he/him): Aro/Ace
Despite his harsh exterior, he's really a people person, but not a relationship person. He'd love to make a queer-platonic connection and maybe raise a kid one day.
Takeyama Yu | Mt. Lady (she/her): Pansexual
Her ass is out for all genders. You know, like, "Nice to meet your assquaintance"?? No?? (I'm not tryna sexualize her I promise)
I think she's much more worried about ratings and numbers than a relationship. And if she did decide to start dating, she'd have her pick of the pool. She might like people regardless of gender, but she also has standards. She'd never settle for someone like Kamui Woods. Could you imagine her dating him-
Toyomitsu Taishiro | Fat Gum (he/him): Pansexual
He just loves who he loves. Comfortable in his sexuality and his body image. Truly someone to look up to.
Chatora Yawara | Tiger (he/him): Trans
Actually Canon!!! Tiger is a trans man!! It's so nice to see him open and visible! Even if it's just a small blurb. He's treated with respect by the narrative and I appreciate that!
That's it for the Pros!! Next time I'll tackle characters I've missed including some from the LOV and some students in other classes!
Until Next Time!!!

Hi lovely Tej 💛💛 I know you’re gonna have a busy day today and I hope none of your meetings are too frustrating or exhausting & your evening plans are fun! But that’s not why I’m dropping by.
Bc I’m dropping by to SCREAM at you because you made me read 100k of your fic yesterday so I went to bed way too late and I’m pretty sure my dreams were all about swimming 😭 Okay fine you told me GIRL GO TO BED (repeatedly), but I can’t be blamed for wanting to finish the masterpiece that is Lane Lines.
I can’t even imagine the work that must have gone into that, not just writing but also research, but god did it work out because it’s just brilliant. Even if I wanted to grab him by the shoulders &! shake some sense into Stevie like every other chapter because GOD you idiot baby (even if I completely love the arch you gave him). Your writing is just amazing. I don’t do so well with slow burns, but you write tension so well and I was so freaking invested in this, the story and all the characters, I couldn’t stop. I’m pretty sure I sobbed my way through some of the later chapters though. 😭
I got so anxious for the boys for each of their competitions, wanting to turn on a tv thinking I could watch them swim because it was all SO real. Everything about the story is, especially everything Steve feels and goes through how heartbreaking or painful or self-sabotaging it might be, just feels so real 🥺
I’m just completely in awe of you for writing this story. I knew you’re a great writer from your other fics, but god, this is just something else. I loved everything about it 💖So so freaking perfect, stand alone semi-sequels included. I can’t believe you’re writing a full sequel to this, that you’re blessing us with even more of this story.
I kinda want to hug you and smack you over the head at the same time, bc how can you be so brilliant and not always recognize it? I’m telling you. You are. So so so freaking genius. Anyway. I loved it. And I love you 💗💗
ohhhhhhh my dear Maya 💛 YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE TO BED. I can't believe you stayed up so late reading my little fic. I've stared at this ask for hours trying to think of something to say that can adequately express how much I appreciate you taking the time to read and send me your reactions and comments in real time. I am SO sorry for putting you through 130k worth of angst haha (but I guess you made me cry on a train this morning while reading this sweet and beautiful ask, so maybe we're even) 😭😭😭
It's always nice getting lovely feedback, but even nicer when it's from a friend and someone whose writing you love in return! 💖 You have no idea how much your comments continually delight me, and how much I get a little flip in my heart when I see you've posted a new fic (and everyone should go check out your fics because they're so sweet and fluffy and a breath of fresh air!).
Anyway, this is getting sappy and I am at work trying not to slam my head against the desk because we're having a tech nightmare and nothing is working like it should be *pokes work laptop* but this ask genuinely has made my day (possibly my entire year) and I absolutely love you to the moon and back! 🌕
I hope you are having a good working day and that you're not too exhausted! Sending you so much love and goodness coming your way because you deserve all the best things in life ✨✨✨

*Spoilers for Chapter 10 ahead.*
Just wanted to say Sequels Suck is a MASTERPIECE. I love how this story started as a slow burn since it allowed us to bond with the other characters and show Y/ns and Randy's rocky friendship. Slow burns are great for building characterization and slowly building the tension until the climax.
Imma be honest lmao I've been wary asf of Derek since the get go even before we as a character were sus of him in the story lol I think you said in an ask there COULD be a third ghostface and if he were to be it I'd LOSE MY SHIT. This isn't canon, so anything is possible and I'm scared 😭 I actually think realistically IF there is a third that'd it'd be Mickey since Derek literally rushed into the house to beat Billy's ass even tho he LITERALLY COULD HAVE DIED. Gotta give him credit, the man's got balls lmaooo an ingenuine person wouldn't have went that far for us.
Stu in chapter 10 didn't really have me sad, he just pissed me off with that mocking ass attitude 🙄 likeee he's acting like our betrayal didn't hurt us too. Didn't wanna hear a word we said and literally told us we might as well be dead. Ngl that hurt 😥 he's become so cruel to us and when we started crying in front of him I was like noooo bitch, he don't deserve your tears 🤐 not after what he did to you. The son of a bitch is even pretending his name is James 🤢 GOT US THROWING UP IN A BUSH.
I can't imagine them forgiving us ever lmao I find it sooo hard to believe this is gonna result in anything good for us bc the situation is THAT BAD. Stu refuses to ever protect us again and altho he's definitely more forgiving, it's obvious all bets are off. If Randy dies there's nooo doubt we will never forgive them bc Randy is our best friend and we care so much about him. It'll destroy us and Dewey dying will do the same thing. Move on, sure, but forgiving them? That's different. We better drag their asses in the future bc fuck them 😭 acting like we didn't save Billy's ungrateful ass and as if THEY DIDN'T LIE TO US TOO.
Now I just wanna pretend I moved on with our boys Randy and Derek just to make them jelly lmao taunt the fuck outta Billy for not catching us in platform sandals. IM READY TO DRAG THEM. We kinda dragged them lowkey in ch 10 BUT I WANT MORE 😤 Stu must have figured we'd survive the attack cause he litterally told us if we drop out someone's dying early and we can't drop out of college if we're dead. Must have figured if we survived that we'd run for the hills. Either way, I'm scared for everyone and I'm not ready to see us crumble 🙃😭
I SCREAMED AT THIS OMFGGFGJJSC I LOVE THOROUGH REVIEWS LIKE THIS AND SEEING YOU EXCITED FOR THE SERIES HAS ME FREAKIN EXCITED TO WRITE IT!!!!! 😭😭😭🖤🖤🖤🖤
Yep, Stu is a self absorbed 'You hurt me and that's the only issue bc what about me???' (hot) jackass and Billy is a self righteous 'my way is the only way' (sexy) dickwad. It's their piss poor luck I write YN to be as realistic as I can and that means eventually dragging them across the mud like most of us would.
I was THIS close to writing this exactly like YN taking Sid's place and being there for two years but I thought 'No, that's why Scream 2 didn't feel nearly as authentic as Scream 1 bc we jumped straight into killings when at least Scream 1 had the fountain, Sid at Tatum's, the grocery store, the party that lasted a decent amount of time BEFORE the killings etc to show their friendships and interactions with each other. I was scared I was making YN unrealistic with being close to ppl she's just met but after two years of isolation; I think most of us would be hopeful with starting friendships again especially at college.
Yeeeaaaahhhhhh....The deaths are gonna suck. Big time. I can't say how but this is gonna work out in a really fucked up way by the end. 🥲💔 Especially since I'm taking this all the way to Scream 4 and maybe Scream 5 (Unless it turns out Stu is the killer in Scream 5 or something then either I'll end it at 4 or go completely AU for 5 bc what the hell can I do with that without YN being killed or killing Stu? 😭.)
My lips are sealed but this is a roller coaster and I don't even know who dies yet; just the ending 🥴🥴🥴

TXT AS WRITERS ON TUMBLR.
Choi Yeonjun.
Theme of blog: changes all the time. Mostly, dark.
Genre of work: Romance. He is a romantic boy who loves writing down his thoughts about it. Also, smut.
🌹His posts will leave the readers feeling like they have been in love even if they haven't.
🌹Probably, ends up explaining his perspective of love very well.
🌹Might make a lot of typos.
🌹Also, ends up getting competitive.
🌹Thinks his posts aren't good enough if he doesn't get a lot of likes. Even if they aren't as much as his previous posts, he thinks he can do better.
🌹Never gets bitter about it though. Not here to hate on anyone.
🌹Hypes up his friends in the asks.
🌹Would drop by your ask box and leave the weirdest comments to hype up your work.
🌹Always supports new accounts. Will also reblog posts.
🌹Will even give life advice to his readers.
🌹Like the older sibling of tumblr. Talks like a wise old man who has seen a lot in life.
🌹Will try his best to mix in with the younger writers but can't succeed all the time.
🌹Talks about his interests often too.
🌹Will probably have to ask another writer what some terms mean.
🌹He always learns new phrases on Huening Kai's page.
🌹Probably the only one who didn't hesitate before messaging Taehyun, who might have come off as closed off to some.
🌹Always encourages Beomgyu to continue talking about his feelings and checks in on him.
🌹Also, he might come off as a flirt.
🌹At some point, Soobin would get confused if he is still joking around or flirting for real.
🌹Just a simple minded fool.
🌹Everyone loves this fool though.
Choi Soobin.
Theme of blog: Neural colors like light blue or dull pinks and beige.
Genre of work: Angst.
🌸Loves to write angst because he believes it's the most emotional. Likes stuff with sad endings.
🌸He thinks movies with sad endings are the most memorable. So, he'd try to write stuff with sad endings. He wants the readers to remember his work.
🌸Has to ask some of his friends to check out his English at times. Gets confused. The posts are still adored even if he makes a few mistakes.
🌸Also, he would use the most aesthetic fonts.
🌸Would be so shy when he's new but then eventually ends up getting adopted by the more extroverted writers on tumblr.
🌸Yeonjun approached him first.
🌸Now, he's found in Soobin's asks using the cheesiest pick up lines on him. If not flirting, they're debating about mint chocolate ice cream.
🌸Loves Taehyun's blog because he loves to read the long, well written posts.
🌸Always thanks people for requesting stuff. Anticipates feedback.
🌸Is lowkey shy to take part in loud conversations amongst writers he doesn't talk to often. Would just read it and laugh.
🌸Would always tease his friends in the ask box. Probably by talking to them like they're babies. Loves teasing Huening Kai.
🌸He would love to add cute anime gifs in the posts. The cherry blossom gifs mostly.
🌸Definitely reblogs anime food gifs.
🌸Loves discussing food on his blog with his moots.
🌸Will never let them forget he loves bread.
🌸' Hiii. I ate yummy bread today. Feeling happy. :) '
Choi Beomgyu.
Theme of blog: A sophisticated match of color and patterns. Somewhere in between dark and light.
Genre of work: Angst and fluff.
🍂His posts would acknowledge sadness and tough feelings. He would write stuff that would make the reader feel comforted.
🍂Often talks about these thoughts that he thinks aren't acknowledged enough.
🍂Sometimes posts about his days and talks about his thoughts and emotions.
🍂You bet he would try to guess the real profiles of his anons.
🍂Makes guesses, messages the real profile and then learns that he was wrong. Always ends up getting embarrassed.
🍂He would always admire other writer's work. He'd leave thoughtful comments too.
🍂Always look at them with heart eyes and tell them that they are amazing.
🍂Probably gets confused about stuff all the time and will pick one reader he likes and ask them about it. Mainly, Huening Kai. He doesn't want to seem too much like a fool that's why.
🍂Huening Kai wouldn't judge him, he knows.
🍂Would love to chit chat about the most random stuff. Always, wants to know people's opinions on books, shows and movies.
🍂Will always try to be part of the conversation.
🍂Sometimes becomes a little shy, wondering if he's coming off as too talkative.
🍂Loves talking to Huening Kai because he makes him laugh. The conversations are super hilarious to him.
🍂Says the most adorable stuff sometimes making everyone go, "Aww."
🍂He's adorable.
Kang Taehyun.
Theme of blog: Beautiful scenery and complimentary colored accent. Probably the most beautiful picture of the sky or the beach.
Genre of work: Fantasy. Sometimes, simple romantic posts too.
🌙He writes for fun, just like everyone. It only makes it more fun to challenge himself and try to write different stuff. So, he finds himself drawn to genre like fantasy.
🌙Does his research about the different type of characters and ends up writing the most interesting stuff.
🌙Puts time and efforts. Won't write it in one go. So, he wouldn't post as often.
🌙He also tries to learn new words and add them. Whatever he writes would be sophisticated and interesting to read.
🌙Naturally intimidating.
🌙Some writers would be so happy if he likes any of their posts because his work would be impressive. Beomgyu would be.
🌙Tries to make friends but doesn't know how to. So, he's probably an anon on all pages and talks the weirdest stuff.
🌙And when he reveals his real profile to the writers, they would be surprised.
🌙Overall, here for a fun time and tries his best to blend in.
🌙Would talk a lot once he starts talking.
🌙Soobin and Taehyun would have such deep conversations on their blogs with each other.
🌙He would also compliment Beomgyu's work because he would like how expressive his writings are.
🌙Loves having debates with Huening Kai. They always have different answers. Plus, he's funny.
🌙Taehyun's jokes are difficult to understand through texts so he'd have to clarify and explain the meanings often.
🌙Always here for gossip.
🌙"You know whaaattt."
Huening Kai.
Theme of blog: Beautiful colours. Light green and lavender purple like combinations.
Genre of posts: Crack. At first he'd write simple stuff to figure out what genre he likes best. But since crack makes him laugh a lot, he ends up enjoying writing that.
🌞Tumblr besties with Taehyun.
🌞He's here to be a living meme. Replies to asks with meme pictures. That's how him and Taehyun communicate.
🌞Uses all the popular American slangs. Yes, this is the blog that is educating Yeonjun about all this.
🌞Has the funniest posts.

Hmmmm.... #50 with Poe please? ;) You know who it is my lovely writer! Can't wait to see more!
✿ “ Mysterious ” ✿
—> Bungo Stray Dogs, Poe Edgar | Reader
—> Sweet | Prompt
—> Description | While Poe introduces you to one of his new mystery novels, you can’t help but be intrigued while at the same time worrying about studies. His smile is too much of a distraction, and you couldn’t resist it.
✿ 50. A kiss, followed by more that trail down the jaw and neck.
Also, hello friend. @writing-for-me-at-this-point
“ Sweet pea! ” The voice of your normally shy boyfriend echoed in the halls of your home, making his way into your bedroom. Bangs covered his face while hugging his latest masterpiece with the grasp of his hands, being sure to not drop it. God was his grin the most adorable sight in the world, how innocent. However, being too caught up in work you missed out on seeing the work of art. Humming gently in response, trying your best to stay focused.
“ Ranpo acknowledged my story today, he said it’s improved!! ” While you sat in a chair, mindlessly studying for exams- your beloved Poe sat himself down right next to you on the shared bed. Meanwhile, his little raccoon friend curled up on your desk, it’s tail swishing some of your papers away. You couldn’t find yourself to be mad, setting you to work aside for a moment to look at Poe. “ Really? I’m happy for you. ” You smile softly, an endearing glance is spared to him before looking back to your work. You didn’t have much time to dwell, what’s more important- Poe or your work. Seeming to notice how he rudely intruded without knocking, Poe can’t help but quietly apologize. His bangs reveal his eyes for a moment, they were almost trembling- even though his lips curl into a small awkward smile before your eyes.
“ I’m sorry for intruding, I really should have knocked first... ” he whispers. The fact you have been with him so long was a blessing, he never saw the day he’d learn the mystery of love. It remains the toughest of them all, maybe he could write about love someday- surely no one could answer it if he doesn’t know either! Maybe Ranpo knew more about love, he will ask for some advice soon. He then continued where he left off, “ I can leave if you need to study. I wouldn’t want to get in your way- I just was incredibly happy and wanted to show you! You and Ranpo are amazing. So I thought... you’d give some feedback as well?”
That caught your attention, raising a brow, a curious glint in your eyes. You sat up from your chair while switching your small table lamp off, for now, you shouldn’t be long. His cutie of a raccoon friend jumps on your shoulder, following you with each step you take. Poe watched you every movement, eyes sparkle with excitement and shock- his beloved was going to read his story? How delightful—
Poe carefully hands you the book, caution evident in his every action. Poe watches as you open the book, first reading the back and tracing your fingers on the cover. It was a beautiful red and gold, hardcover book. You’ve always wanted to collect his books, always so well drawn out. Not as much of a masterpiece as him though. That boy was an angel, even in his fair share of awkward moments. Boy was his nerves thriving at the sight of you holding his book in your hands, the care you put into holding his beloved stories never went past him. Kind as you were, he could never describe just how good you made him feel. There always lingered a sense of euphoria in his heart due to your subtle contact.
“ It’s great, I’d say it’s your best story yet! ” Your smile radiates pure sunshine, he felt like he was in the grace of an angelic disciple. Did you mean what you said? Of course, you did! Boy was he fanboying now. “There are a couple of minor errors on page 2... and a couple of others. But from what I’ve seen so far, your introduction is perfect. You’ve always been talented, I’m sure you’ll stump Ranpo someday!”
“ Y-...You mean that, sweet pea?...” Pie whispers curiously, overwhelming joy excited his heart to no end. “ Why would I have a reason to lie? ”
“ I suppose you’re right... I’ll continue to work as hard as I can! I’ll stump Ranpo by the end of this year with this progress and your encouragement! ” Poe exclaims, whenever he rambles about his writing he almost seems to be a different person entirely, but no matter how acts- Poe is your Dear Boyfriend, and even a possible fiancé.
While he was swept up in his speech of improving to bewilder Ranpo, you found yourself scoot closer to him on the bed. Smiling at him, your hands cup his face, brushing the hair out of his face so you meet eye to eye. “ I believe in you, you’re going to be the most successful author one day. Alright, Dear? ”
The closeness between you both made a blush swarm his pale cheeks, the warmth flooding through his body and pounding of his heart was a clear sign of embarrassment. Unsure of what he should do, he attempted to look away, squirming a little beneath your gaze shyly. Looking down at his lap, only for you to lift his chin again. Leaning closer to him, you praised his work within a mere whisper against his ear. Closing the space between you two, you keep your eyes open to see how he’d react. Poe awkwardly wrapped his arms around your waist while shaking like crazy, poor boy was a nervous wreck. Poe tried his best to do what was right, leaning into the kiss as well to deepen it. Just as you pull away, he was going to speak but panicked when you began to kiss down his jawline. Each kiss left eerily warm tingles, not making any attempt to push you away. A small whine escaped his lips the more you kiss him, 1...2...3... you trailed each kiss against his flared skin. From his lips to his jaw, below his ear and even down to his shoulder. Your hands roam as well, one grasping his hand while the other combs through his hair, the attempts on brushing it out from his eyes ended in failure, always falling back into place.
Moments later, you finally pull away. Satisfied with yourself, you grin. Brushing his hair back again— holding it back to appreciate his eyes. Trying to read him like a book. “ I love you and your stories, but I think you’re the real mystery to be uncovered. ”
Que Poe blushing incredibly all night, becoming a stuttering mess whenever you called his name.
~fin~

Escape?
A/N: rushed, unedited, angsty/fluffy. i just wanted to write for leo :)
"A round of applause for our new comrade" her wicked voice cackled, pulling you up while a footbot soldier loosened the ties around your wrists and body. Their hands skimmed down your leg and you hoped they wouldn't recognise the knife you were hiding.
"What are ya doing??" Raph hissed under his breath, eyes wide at the actions you were committing. This wasn't his best friend, he refused to believe you were going against them. There was no way, right??
"I'm sorry" was the only answer you could provide, standing up and straightening your back. You had to sound cold, angry at them but how? They had been nothing but supportive, funny and sweet. Since the moment you saw them up until now.
"Y/N, stop! You can't do this!" Mikey whisper yelled at you, his baby blues holding disbelief. He watched you merely shrug and his heart dropped down to the out of his stomach. Since when did you turn so cold??
"Did you plan this the entire time??" Donnie's voice sounded cold, and it made your stomach turn. Even when you both first met, he hadn't ever held this much anger directed at you. You took a breath, and stood by Karai watching the turtles struggle against their binds.
"This is a beautiful scene, really. Your lover and his brothers all helpless and vulnerable. Their father all alone and defenceless. Almost takes the fun out of the kidnapping" Karai gloated, skimming her fingers against the ropes that prevented the turtles from moving.
Only one stared directly at you, his gaze penetrating through your body and to your soul. Leonardo, your boyfriend. He hadn't said a word, his posture stoic and yet his eyes melted into yours. True, the rest of his brothers may have been questioning your loyalty and he was tied in front of you mercy to whatever horrible punishment Karai wanted to inflict upon them, but something stirred deep within his gut. That you were out here to do the right thing. You knew exactly what you were doing, and you had the intentions to go along with it.
"Let these pathetic mutants wither in here, for tomorrow will hold a grand surprise. Both me and you" she turned her head to you, cherry lips curved into a devil smirk. Clicking her fingers, the footbots followed aside from you.
"Any last words?" She nudged your side and you laughed gently, eyes trained on the leader. This was your chance, you could give him the weapon and he would be able to free himself and his brothers.
"There's a few I'd like to say" You glanced at the rest of them, all holding betrayed and anger ridden expressions. If looks could kill, you certainly would have been under the ground.
All aside from one. Waiting.
You walked straight to him, feeling the glance of the woman, soldiers, and the turtles on you. "There's no way to escape. Hope you rot in this cell" you uttered, heart hammering wildly against your ribs. You had to focus though, they needed to be freed. You heard chuckles from the footbots and short gasps from the team.
"Loving the new attitude" she smirked and you acted the same, but when a footbot went to talk to her your expression changed. Leo's eyes burned into yours, hands clenched tightly at the ropes wrapped around. You stood up, hands in your pocket before pulling out a small knife. Leaning forwards, you pretended as though you were tightening his ropes but dropped the knife in a pocket where he had easy access to. His own mouth parted a little, looking straight back at you and chuckled softly. The corners of his mouth tilted upwards, gracing his lips with the sweetest smile. A true masterpiece
"Be safe out here Leo, please" you whispered, eyes burning a little with unshed tears. His heart thumped proudly, knowing that you indeed did the right thing. He wouldn't ever forget this.
"I will. You stay safe too. I love you" he desperately wanted to kiss you but he had to avoid any suspicion. "I will. I love you too" you mumbled, stepping back and plastering on a neutral face again.
"What were you doing??" Karai asked, placing a hand on her hips. "Making the ropes tighter. They looked loose" you shrugged, pointing to his hand and she slowly nodded. "That's fine. Let's go" she ordered and you obliged. You turned your head one last time, looking at the brothers scared to see their faces that would hold nothing short of a death glare. But it greatly surprised you when in fact, they showed the complete opposite. Anger burned away, posture a little more relaxed.
They caught on, hiding a smile and you winked, confirming that you were trying to bust them out of here too. Raph, Mikey and Donnie gave apologetic smiles and proud grins. Leo smiled, but his touched your heart. He was the only one believed that you had the pure intentions. He was the only one who knew what you were doing. He really is the perfect boyfriend... You smiled back at the brothers, following Karai reluctantly out of the room.
"Make sure they are locked up tight. No escape" she uttered to the guard and you watched Leo from the cracks of the door. He raised his head, eyes meeting yours instantly and your heart beated fast at the look he gave. You blew a kiss to Leo, hoping he would get out safe. His head cocked to the right slightly, ocean eyes holding the love since he couldn't do the actions.
You loved his eyes, they were so beautiful and always telling you what he felt in the morning. He could never really truly mask the emotions he felt around you. And with that the door slammed shut, echoing throughout the long corridor.
Your fingers grazed the metal, praying they would be safe. That they would come back safe and sound.

cupid’s aim (sirius black x f.reader)
word count: 1.5k
cupid’s aim masterlist
i. aphrodite; goddess of love and beauty
"Sirius!"
I watched all four members of the Marauders turn at the call of one of their names, each member smiling at me as I ran to them.
Amira walked behind me, her nose stuffed in a book while I held her wrist and led her to the Ravenclaw tower.
"My partner in crime," Sirius smiled at me as I slipped into the space beside Peter and him.
"Boys, It's wonderful to see you," I nodded to each member quickly.
"We've seen you everyday for the past seven years Bennett."
"I literally spoke to you before dinner."
I waved them off with my empty hand, looking back to Sirius. I watched Peter wave to Amira but she was way too into the book she was currently reading, Pride and Prejudice.
"I have the best idea ever."
"Shoot."
We wander down random halls, taking the long way to our respected towers, conversation flowing easily.
"What if we started a matchmaking service here and Hogwarts?"
I watched Remus turn around, his eyebrows drawn together as he stopped in the middle of the hall. The rest of the group stop as well which made me stop. Mi ran into my back and she finally looked up from the pages of her book.
"You could give everyone the love like Lizzy and Mr. Darcy," Mi spoke nonsense but Remus seemed to easily understand the statement.
"I mean you might be on to something, we do work well together."
Sirius shrugged and looked around the small group that looked between us both with bewildered eyes.
"Exactly, we can take that empty classroom and make it like headquarters or something. It's our last year at Hogwarts so let's leave something behind."
Sirius smiled at me lightly, withdrawing his hand from his pocket and waiting for a high five, which I returned like I always did.
"I hope you know how crazy this sounds, I mean you barely have any details laid out," Peter spoke form beside me.
"I don't care about the details, just make Lily love me," James jumped in front of us, grabbing our shoulders and looking us over.
"Well Cherry also said we could use her, also we can't just do our friends."
I looked over at James pleading eyes and over my shoulder Mi would finally decide to close the book and join the conversation.
"Why don't you set up a suggest a box, that way everyone can join?" Mi questioned.
I smiled and kissed her cheek, whispering a thank you while I looked at Sirius. I watched his scan my face before smiling at me and nodding his head.
"Perfect, I already have a name."
I let My wrist drop and did small jazz hands while I spoke in an exciting laugh.
"Cupid's Aim Matchmaking Service."
James started laughing while Remus punched his shoulder and told him about manners.
"Before you lot laugh I got the idea from Cherry so if you don't like it-"
"I love it, I'll marry it. I love it so much," Sirius spoke while twirling a small piece of hair around his finger with a nervous laugh.
It is wonderful having a friend everyone is scared of at times.
"Perfect, we will meet tomorrow to work out the finer details."
I grabbed My wrist and took off down the hall to the Ravenclaw tower, loud goodnights echoed down the hallway as I ran.
"Cherry didn't suggest that."
"I know."
*
"Meet me after class."
I laughed at the note Sirius passed me in class, the horrible drawings of what I believe was cupid and hearts covering the page is messy handwriting.
"I will be paring you up for the research, groups of 4."
I looked up at Professor Slughorn while he stood at the front of the board, coughing as he read off the paper before him.
"Pettigrew, Lupin, Day, McKinnon."
Mi nodded and smiled from beside me, writing the name of her group at the top of her page before looking back at her journal jotting down other little things.
"Evans, Potter, Black, Bennett."
I watched Mi jump from beside me and write faster, ripping the page from her journal and starting writing again. I looked around her large curls, smiling at Sirius. His eyes were already looking for me and smirking, nodding his head before he looked to the front of the class.
Slughorn read off the different names with ease, some groups groaned while others sounded pleased with the members of their group.
"Each member will receive a potion they must do intense research on and present the potion to me with the research."
I nodded and wrote the last bit of notes that Mi had missed on her page before paying attention to the front again.
"Evans group, Amortentia."
Slughorn wicked at Lily before carrying on with the class. I felt Mi pull my robe looking at me with questioning brows.
"Me too."
The bull echoed in the room, students flying from their seats and filtering out the room.
I grabbed the few books I had out and stuffed them into my bag when I felt a hand lay on my shoulder.
"I've started working on our first client," Sirius whispered not in my ear as Lily walked past us both with Marlene at her side.
"I thought we were doing it at random?"
"Eh, he deserves a break."
I turned and faced him finally, his smile wicked as he rocked back and front on his high tops.
"What did you do?"
I crossed my arms over my chest and his eyes trailed across the ceiling before looking at me again.
"I might have sent Slughorn a letter from Lily that she would like to work with Potter and us and would prefer if she did Amortentia."
Sirius and I trialed from the class, the members of the group and Mi stood against the wall across from us.
"You didn't."
"I just told you I did."
I felt a body collide with mine, James arms wrapped around my middle while he danced side to side giggling, actually giggling.
"Thank you thank you (Y/N), you must have done this."
I opened my mouth to correct him but Sirius coughed and looked at me from the corner of his eyes.
"Yeah, she's the brain of the service."
I titled my head to him before I heard Cherry yelling from down the hall.
"Trying to steal my friend Potter?"
James jumped off my and moved to Sirius' side, both taking one step farther away from me as Cherry moved closer to my side.
"What I thought," Cherry moved to stand beside me while making a grabby hand at Mi. Mi approached and joined us, Cherry throwing an around our shoulders.
"What was the conversation of the day?"
"Sirius and (Y/N) matchmaking service," Remus answered while pointing between Sirius and I.
"You got him to agree."
I nodded my head once and placed a hand on my hip and I looked up at her proudly.
"The name too."
"I hate that name."
Sirius gasped beside me, nudging my calf with his shoe.
"You lied to me, I made a box for you and everything."
I turned in Cherry arm, watching as Sirius searched in his bag before pulling out a box the size of a bug. He lightly tapped his wand on his before she grew, an average size box now sat in his hand.
It had "Cupid's Aim Matchmaking Service sketched on the front, painted pink with red bubble letters, really bad bubble letters. The top had a small whole it the top, just enough to tell nothing was in it but nothing enough to really tell even if something was. The badly drawn cupid was in the corner of the box.
"You made this?"
"If he bought it I would tell him to get a refund," Cherry laughed at the messy box.
"He stayed up all night making it, made us help," Remus spoke, a loud ow echoed off the hall and Sirius threw his wand at him.
"I'm confiscating this now," Remus shoved the wand in his pocket, Sirius was distracted enough for me to lift the small box from his palm. I looked all around the sides, the ugly drawings of hearts and other objects of love cover it head to toe. I caught sight of something on the bottom, titling the box to his Black and Bennett carved into the bottom.
I smiled to myself while Sirius jumped on Remus' back, Cherry cheering them on while Mi tried to hush Cherry loud "Kill him" cheers.
"You know, he really worked hard on this box."
Peter stood in front of me, handing me a Polaroid from his robe pocket. The sight itself was a masterpiece.
Sirius Black laid on his dorm floor, feet in the air while the shot caught the glitter falling to the floor. Glitter dramatically floated in mid air, Sirius faced reasonably calm from the events most likely soon to unfold.
"Keep it, it can be our little secret."

Masterpiece (A Park Jimin Yandere AU)
Summary: You thought it was just a painting until you bought it. You thought the man in the frame was beautiful until you saw him. You thought it was a masterpiece until you were ruined.
Pairing: Yandere! Jimin×Reader, Taehyung×Reader
Warnings: Contains mentions of smut, deaths, blood, obsessive behaviour and mental health issues. Please read at your own risk.
Your hands were placed firmly on either side of your bathroom sink, steadying you as you stared at your reflection in the mirror.
Correction.
As you stared at him through the reflection in the mirror.
You couldn't tell how long you had been standing like this but you sure knew that you were about to pass out. Your hair was damp and it stuck to your skin, the towel wrapped around you absorbing the tiny drops of water that glided down your shoulders. There was a suffocating silence in the bathroom, the cool air from your bedroom making goosebumps rise on your skin.
You were hallucinating, you concluded. How else could park Jimin be standing behind you right now? Paintings didn't come to life. Even though you liked that idea, they just didn't. Your mind was in a daze, unable to comprehend what your next move should be. But you had to do something. Maybe call out for help? Taehyung and Nan were right downstairs, weren't they?
No, Y/N. They'd probably make you go back for another therapy session.
You swallowed thickly before inhaling deeply. Jimin stood still behind you, his smirk unmoving along with his eyes. If you didn't see the rise and fall of his chest, you would have thought he was a statue.
"You're not real." You whispered, your eyes becoming moist due to the lack of blinking. Another beat of silence passed before Jimin's lips twisted into a grin. Your breath hitched, your fingers tightening their grip on the counter to keep you standing. He cocked an eyebrow, tilting his head to the side and resting it on the doorframe.
"You tell me." Came his reply. His voice was gentle, like a lullaby. You didn't expect anything less but in all honesty, you weren't really anticipating any of this. This was pure madness. You were going mad.
Your curiosity got the best of you and you just had to turn around, your eyes meeting the absence of the very man who was driving you nuts. To say you were relieved was an understatement, a grateful sigh leaving your lips almost immediately.
Okay, you aren't going mad. You're just sleep deprived.
You placed your hands on your hips, slowly stepping out of the bathroom and scanning the room for any kind of sign that someone had been here.
"Looking for me?"
You flinched, your eyes falling on Taehyung as he stood with his arms crossed at your bedroom door. You gave him a disapproving glare for scaring you before walking past him towards your closet. Taehyung chuckled and followed you, his hands wrapping around your waist as you opened the doors to your wardrobe. Your heart did that thing, a frown gracing your eyebrows at the familiar feeling. It was because of Taehyung. No kidding.
You felt his hot breath on your neck, his lips meeting your shoulder right after. His hands gripped your waist tighter, pulling you against his body. As much as you wanted to tell him to leave, you couldn't.
"Tae, what are you doing?" You breathed, wincing when he bit down on your shoulder harshly. He peppered your neck with kisses until he reached your ear.
"What do you think?" He rasped, sucking right beneath your ear. You let out a soft moan before he turned you around. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer, your lips pressing against his firmly. His tongue ran across your bottom lip, his fingers digging into your hips roughly and making you gasp. He deepened the kiss, lust clouding over both of you.
You never had self control around Taehyung. Everytime you decided that you wouldn't do this to him, his touch had you melting.
"Fuck, I love you."
The irony.
You immediately pulled away, your hands pushing Taehyung away from you. His hands loosened their hold on your hips, his chest heaving as an aftermath of the snogging you both had done. Taehyung closed his eyes in frustration, your shoulder brushing against his as you rushed past him.
Taehyung wanted to slap himself for saying those words to you. He knew better than that but he just couldn't hold it back. He had to let you know how he felt, although your reaction told him that you already knew. For years, he stood by you, waiting for you to mirror his feelings but you never did. And every time he asked, he got the same answer.
"I can't deal with the kind of emotional investment that a relationship requires."
You clenched the front of your towel, your other hand going towards the doorknob of your bedroom door. Your head began to throb, indicating that you were gonna be downing aspirins in a couple hours. Today was a little too eventful for you and not in a happy way. Everything was just going wrong.
"Just- just please tell me what I can do to change your mind.."
Your hand froze on the doorknob, a subtle ache passing over you upon hearing the desperation in Taehyung's voice. You almost gave in. Almost. With a sharp inhale, you opened the door and turned to Taehyung, your eyes fixed on the maroon carpet of your room. You couldn't look him in the eyes, too scared to witness the pain in them. All because of you.
"Leave." You stated sternly, pursing your lips and waiting patiently for him to do as you said. You heard him chuckle bitterly, your fists clenching by your side. Your eyes fell shut as he walked over to you, his warm breath fanning your face before he placed a kiss on your forehead. You pursed your lips tighter, an apology begging to be let out.
"Take care." Taehyung mumbled against your forehead, glancing at you one last time before leaving you alone. With shaky hands, you slammed the door shut, falling on the floor with your back against it.
You tucked your knees under your chin, blinking rapidly to prevent yourself from crying. You felt dizzy, your head spinning as you tried to stay conscious. The events of the day were taking a toll on you, your body slowly shutting down. You whimpered and crawled to your bed, getting under the blankets with much difficulty. You were still in your towel, your fingers ripping it off you and tossing it to the ground. A single tear made its way to the side of your face, your eyes staring at the ceiling.
"No matter how much you try to push me away, I'll always be here."
"You'll never be alone, Y/N. I promise to be your rock."
"I don't care what everyone says, you are my best friend and I'm not letting anyone take that away."
"We both could just stay single for the rest of our lives. No relationship rollercoasters!"
A sob escaped your mouth, your hand immediately going to cover it up. You were alone in your room but you still felt exposed. As if a hundred eyes were watching you break down. This was intimate, even in your own personal space. You didn't wanna cry. No. You weren't weak.
Taehyung's words kept running through your mind, making you wonder why things changed. He used to be supportive of your single-forever tag and now, he wanted the opposite of it. You wouldn't have cared if he got into a relationship, he was still gonna be your best friend. But the problem was, he wanted this with you. And something told you that he was in too deep for you to do anything about it.
With a heavy exhale, you closed your eyes, the headache taking over along with the mental exhaustion.
_____________________________________________
Tears streamed down your face endlessly, the ropes digging into your skin as you struggled against them. The basement was dark and eerily quiet, the only noises coming from the gagged girls who lay unconscious at the corner of the room. It was a mistake. You should have just taken the long way home. So what if your dad would have gotten mad at you? At least you would be home. Safe and sound.
The dirty rag tied up around your mouth was wet with your saliva, protests leaving your mouth as you tried to scream. You still didn't know how you got here. All you remembered was that alley. That damned alley.
A loud clanking of chains grabbed your attention, your eyes widening as you froze. Someone was coming, you could tell. Your chest heaved as you waited patiently for your kidnapper to show himself. You guessed it was a male. It had to be.
The silhouette of a man made its way to you, your head leaning forward to see who it was. And the second he stepped into the light, your blood ran cold. Cameron D'silva, your new neighbour who had managed to make you crush on him. His eyes were darker than you had ever seen, his dirty blonde hair a mess. His lips curved into a smirk, a sadistic one. You immediately shook your head, not being able to believe this. The one time you liked a guy, he ended up being a kidnapper? Wow.
"Hello, Y/N. You don't know how good I feel to finally see you here. All tied up for me." He chuckled, running his fingers down your arm. You flinched, making incoherent noises until he rolled his eyes and took off your gag. You coughed, licking your lips before speaking.
"Why are you doing this?!" You asked, your vision hazy with the amount of tears that constantly pooled in your eyes. Cameron raised an eyebrow, giving you his sweetest smile. You wanted throw up at the show he was putting on. You couldn't believe that this was the same guy who had taken you to the fair as a date.
"You see, I like you, Y/N. I really do. And it has always been a fantasy of mine to tie my girl up while I give her the time of her life-" You spat on him, glaring at him with all the hatred you could muster. You were disgusted by him. There was no way you would let him touch you. He clenched his jaw, wiping away your saliva from his face before chuckling bitterly.
"You aren't the first one, Y/N. All those girls have defied me only to end up with the same fate. But don't worry, I promise I like you more than them. They are nothing compared to you." He said, grinning at you and playing with your hair. You gritted your teeth, ready to bite back when he harshly pulled your hair, making you scream in agony. The cynical expression on his face had etched itself in your memory, his eyes portraying the insanity that he possessed.
"I can't wait to ruin you…"
You jolted awake with sweat beading on your forehead, your heart pounding against your ribcage. Your throat was dry and your hands were clammy. Even in your naked state, you were sweating. You took in your surroundings, sighing in relief upon seeing your own bedroom.
Just a dream.
Even though you convinced yourself that it was just a dream, you found it difficult to breathe. Your lungs were on fire and your mind kept replaying the bitter dream again and again like a broken record. No matter how much you ran, that night always came back to haunt you.
Your body trembled as you pulled the blanket up to your neck and rested against the headboard. You were slowly slipping away. Unfortunately, there was no Taehyung this time. He was gone and you had to help yourself alone. Your breathing turned shallow with every passing second, your head throbbing in pain.
"Breathe, Y/N, breathe. You're safe here. It's all over."
Your eyebrows furrowed, your attention moving towards the voice you had just heard. Your room was empty, only your breathing echoing through its walls. But whoever it was, your mind definitely reacted positively to the voice. You could feel yourself relaxing, your brain registering the fact that it was all really over. It had been years since that night and you were completely alright. Your eyes darted around the room, your body twisting around in the sheets to find the source of the voice.
Hadn't you heard it before?
You wracked your brain as you got out of bed, quickly putting on a robe over your bare body. There was definitely no one here, right? Suddenly, the realisation dawned on you, your eyes falling on the portrait in front of your bed. You had heard this voice during your little hallucination drama. Bingo!
Were you going insane for real?

@taylorswift is my artist of the decade, woman of the decade, writer of the decade, inspiration of the decade because of the following:
‘All that I know is I don’t know how to be something you miss.’
‘You and I walk a fragile line.
I have known it all this time.
Never thought I'd see it break.
Never thought I'd see it...’
‘And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you, dear.’
‘No rules in breakable heaven.’
‘All the king’s horses, all the king’s men couldn’t put me together again. ‘Cause all of my enemies started out friends.’
‘Lyrical smile, indigo eyes, hand on my thigh. We could follow the sparks, I’ll drive.’
‘He says "What you've heard is true, but I can't stop thinking about you." and I said "I've been there too a few times." ‘
‘I reach for you, but you were gone. I knew I had to go back home.’
‘The tricky thing is yesterday we were just children. Playing soldiers just pretending. Dreaming dreams with happy endings.
In backyards, winning battles with our wooden swords. But now we've stepped into a cruel world, where everybody stands and keeps score.’
‘Long were the nights when my days once revolved around you.’
‘And you open your eyes into mine, and everything feels better.’
‘Two headlights shine through the sleepless night. And I will get you, and get you alone. Your name has echoed through my mind. And I just think you should, think you should know that nothing safe is worth the drive and I would follow you, follow you home. I'll follow you, follow you home.’
‘But I believe in whatever you do. And I’ll do anything to see it through.’
‘My mistake I didn't know to be in love you had to fight to have the upper hand.’
‘You cry; but you don't tell anyone that you might not be the golden one. And you're tied together with a smile, but you're coming undone.’
‘One night he wakes, strange look on his face, pauses, then says, you're my best friend. And you knew what it was, he is in love.’
‘And you come away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you.’
‘So, baby, can we dance through an avalanche?’
‘I was ridin' in a getaway car. I was cryin' in a getaway car. I was dyin' in a getaway car. Said goodbye in a getaway car.’
‘Headlights pass the window pane, I think of you.’
‘ ‘Cause we break down a little. And when you get me alone, it's so simple. ‘Cause baby, I know what you know. We can feel it.’
‘Distance, timing, breakdown, fighting.
Silence, this train runs off its tracks. Kiss me, try to fix it, could you just try to listen?
Hang up, give up, for the life of us we can't get back.’
‘If you live like that, you live with ghosts. If you love like that blood runs cold.’
‘When the sun came up you were looking at me. You were looking at me.’
‘And you were wild and crazy. Just so frustrating. Intoxicating, complicated.
Got away by some mistake.’
‘I can't resist before you go tell me this:
Was it worth it? Was she worth this?’
‘And now I know why all the trees change in the fall. I know you were on my side, even when I was wrong. And I love you for giving me your eyes, for staying back and watching me shine.’
‘I know heaven’s a thing. I go there when you touch me, honey. Hell is when I fight with you. But we can patch it up good. Make confessions and we’re begging for forgiveness. Got the wine for you.’
‘And I can see you years from now in a bar, talking over a football game. With that same big loud opinion, but nobody's listening. Washed up and ranting about the same old bitter things.’
‘The way you move is like a full on rainstorm.’
‘Your string of lights is still bright to me. Oh, who you are is not where you've been.’
‘You were all I wanted, but not like this.’
‘These are the hands of fate. You’re my Achilles heel. This is the golden age of something good and right and real.’
‘It was good, never looking down. And right there where we stood was holy ground.’
‘The water filled my lungs, I screamed so loud. But no one heard a thing.’
‘Ooh, ooh, he’s talking crazy. Ooh, ooh, dancing with me. Ooh, ooh, we could get married. Ooh, ooh, have ten kids and teach ‘me how to dream.’
‘I see the high-fives between the bad guys. Leave with my head hung, you are the only one who seems to care.’
‘The stakes are high, the water’s rough, but this love is ours.’
‘Cause darling I’m a nightmare, dressed like a daydream.’
‘Just grab my hand and don't ever drop it, my love. They are the hunters, we are the foxes and we run.’
‘Kiss me once ‘cause you know I had a long night. Kiss me twice ‘cause it’s gonna be alright. Three times ‘cause I waited my whole life.’
‘Your eyes whisper “Have we met?” ‘
‘I hold onto the night you looked me in the eye and told me you loved me.’
‘My heart, my hips, my body, my love. Tryna find a part of me that you didn't touch. Gave up on me like I was a bad drug. Now I'm searching for signs in a haunted club. Our songs, our films, united, we stand. Our country, guess it was a lawless land. Quiet my fears with the touch of your hand. Paper cut stings from our paper-thin plans. My time, my wine, my spirit, my trust. Tryna find a part of me you didn't take up. Gave you so much, but it wasn't enough. But I'll be all right, it's just a thousand cuts.’
‘Braced myself for the goodbye, ‘cause that’s all I’ve ever known. Then you took me by surprise, when you said “I’ll never leave you alone.” ‘
‘And we know it's never simple, never easy. Never a clean break, no one here to save me. You're the only thing I know like the back of my hand.’
‘Remind her how it used to be, be, yeah-yeah. With pictures in frames of kisses on cheeks, cheeks.’
‘Fighting with a true love is boxing with no gloves. Chemistry 'til it blows up, 'til there’s no us.’
‘And there in the bathroom, I try not to fall apart and the sinking feeling starts, as I say hopelessly “He said he’d be here.” ‘
‘We can’t make any promises now, can we, babe? But you can make me a drink.’
‘Is this the end of all the endings? My broken bones are mending with all these nights we’re spending- up on the roof with a school girl crush. Drinking beer out of plastic cups. Say you fancy me, not fancy stuff. Baby, all at once, this is enough.’
‘You hold my hand on the street
Walk me back to that apartment
Years ago, we were just inside
Barefoot in the kitchen
Sacred new beginnings
That became my religion, listen’
‘ When you think happiness, I hope you think "that little black dress" ‘
‘And maybe we got lost in translation, maybe I asked for too much. But maybe this thing was a masterpiece 'til you tore it all up. Running scared, I was there, I remember it all too well. And you call me up again just to break me like a promise. So casually cruel in the name of being honest. I'm a crumpled up piece of paper lying here, ‘cause I remember it all, all, all too well.’
‘I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you. I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you.’
‘Memorizing him was as easy as knowing all the words to your old favorite song.’
‘I was riding shot gun with my hair undone in the front seat of his car. I grabbed a pen and an old napkin and I wrote down our song.’
‘Holy orange bottles, each night I pray to you. Desperate people find faith, so now I pray to Jesus too.’
‘You took the time to memorize me. My fears, my hopes and dreams.’
‘Lantern, burning
Flickered in my mind, only you
But you were still gone, gone, gone.’
‘I bet it never, ever occurred to you that I can’t say hello to you and risk another goodbye.’
‘Long, long live the walls we crashed through. All the kingdom lights shined just for me and you. I was screaming, long live all the magic we made. And bring on all the pretenders, I'm not afraid.’
‘I take a step back, let you go. I told you I'm not bulletproof. Now you know.’
‘But something happened, I heard him laughing. I saw the dimples first and then I heard the accent.’
‘I’m waiting alone now. So come on and come out. And pull me near and shine, shine, shine.’
‘I can see the end as it begins. My one condition is..’
‘And the saddest fear comes creeping in that you never loved me, or her, or anyone, or anything!’
‘Please don’t ever become a stranger whose laugh I could recognize anywhere.’
‘And when you find everything you looked for, I hope your life will lead you back to my front door. Oh but if it don’t? Will you stay beautiful, beautiful, beautiful?’
‘Why? ‘Cause she’s dead.’
