#hallmark #a biltmore christmas #time travel #WHERE IS MY POST-CREDITS SCENE SHOWING HOW MARGARET REACTS???#she was one of the best parts of the movie!#you need at least five minutes of her screaming for joy!#also clearly there was a conspiracy of people in the past who knew about the time travel thing so how did that work?#what about that bearded guy on the crew who was CLEARLY another time traveler?#(there is no way that facial hair came from 1947)#also where does the relationship go from there?#how do you adjust?#does tour guide riker help out?#so many unanswered questions can fit into the last scenes of that film and i need answers #also just overall: thanks to people who said this one was worth seeking out because my goodness what a delight #that movie oozed charm #i think maybe my true core fictional love is classic '30s/'40s film because i was digging that vibe #the banter! the patter! the zingers! the perfect blend of cynicism and sentimentality #some of the background stuff was too modern but also some was spot on #that guy who played claude looks like he was born to be a classic Hollywood film star #the leading lady did not fit the vibe at all but she had great chemistry with the movie's leads so i can see why they cast her #the old-timey writer dude was charming #the main lady might be a new favorite hallmark actress (there's only one other on the list)#(watched part of a different film with her in it and she seems to put some of that classic hollywood sass into her roles)#i wasn't sold on the male lead at first but the writing came through for him #when he sits in the chair behind her! when he's trying to guess her personality traits?#charming and absolutely spot-on for the vibe #(the fact that they cast hallmark regulars in the remake is hilarious and also sad because it looks so much worse than the original)#anyway great time had a blast will definitely be rewatching

im glad smosh vs christmas can stick true to its hallmark movie roots by having at least one or two moments that without fail, leave me staring at the screen in bemused confusion going "wait, you guys are concerned about romance RIGHT NOW?"

(although this was def at least partly for the bit) (which i can appreciate)

in my defense. the murders, guys. the murders. youve just untied carol. crossbow bolts might still be flying. santa has a sword.

in THEIR defense, carol punching mrs ornamente in the face before she can stab scott in the back WAS the hottest thing imaginable so scott is valid for that reaction after, at least. fair enough.

ggghhghgh as much as i love having so many friends now i would Love to not be the only one who ever thinks about group plans for more than 2 minutes

#on monday i tell everyone that 7:00 on friday would be the best time for Sonic Movie. everyone agrees with me that 7 is good and works #one of these people works at the movie theater we are going to and regularly reserves seats for us & get us in for free via employee perks #it is never communicated to me that they have not done this until 11am on friday #when i say that 7:00 won't work anymore because there aren't any seats left and they say they didn't know seats weren't reserved #i was not told that i was expected to buy tickets & seats for everyone. all i did was pick a showtime #i do not work at the theater #how would i have reserved the seats #i don't mind spending $60 on FOUR movie tickets as a christmas gift (ignore the eye twitching sfx) but just TELL ME THAT FIRST!!!!!!#TELL ME THAT /BEFORE/ I HAVE TO SWITCH IT TO 8:00 INSTEAD AND RACE EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE WORLD BUYING TICKETS TODAY #not even joking i almost could've gotten 7:30 tickets but then the last seats for that time got taken in the 10 mins it took to call my mom #BEFORE NOON. ALL OF THIS IS BEFORE NOOON #sigh. i have really been getting to know the hell that is living in a rural area when all of your friends live in suburbs #guys. i cannot simply do things on a whim on a weekday. you are making me ask my parents to drive me 30 minutes out both ways after work #(bc ofc they're all too pussy to drive me home bc i have a dirt road & I'm Too Far Away)#i say this with nothing but love in my heart but ohhhhhh suburbians. they truly do not know anything #yes this would all be way easier for everyone if i could drive but its kinda hard to practice when youre only home for like 3 months a year #and half of that time is usually spent recovering from burnout. but whatever my point is THESE PEOPLE ARE KILLING ME !!!!!!!!!!!!

Look, I'm all for self insert characters and using them to deal with your issues in a healthy way. Lord knows I've been doing it since like the third grade. But I WOULD like a clause in the contract that if someone could reasonably assume the conclusion of your self insert story is, "And that's why I get naked around random women and masturbate over them without their consent and it's totally cool y'all," I should be allowed to make fun of that.
