10 Proven Techniques to Improve Your Concentration for NEET Preparation
Tumblr media
Preparing for NEET is an enormous task that demands a significant amount of concentration and focus. Students often face difficulties in maintaining their concentration levels while studying for NEET, which can hinder their overall preparation.
However, with the right guidance from the best physics teacher for NEET, you can enhance your understanding of complex concepts and develop effective study strategies to help you succeed.
This blog aims to discuss ten proven techniques that can effectively improve your concentration levels during NEET preparation.
1. CREATR A CONDUCIVE STUDY ENVIORNMENT
Ensure that your study area is free from distractions such as noise, clutter, or people that can hinder your focus. Additionally, keep your study area clean and organized, with all the necessary materials within reach.
2. ELIMINATE PERSONAL DISTRACTIONS
You have already jumped into a mad competitive world; now you have to be religiously disciplined. Eliminating personal distractions, such as smartphones and social media, is crucial for success in the highly competitive NEET exam.
3. TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS
Taking breaks between study sessions can help you recharge and avoid burnout. However, ensure that the breaks are short and focused to prevent distractions.
4. USE ACTIVE LEARNING TECHNIQUES
Rather than passively reading textbooks, engage in active learning techniques such as note-taking, summarizing, or teaching someone else to help you retain information better.
5. PRACTICE MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment and paying attention to your thoughts and feelings. You can practice mindfulness by focusing on your breath or observing your thoughts without judgment.
6. EXERCISE REGULARLY
Physical activity helps to improve concentration by increasing blood flow to the brain. Exercise and yoga also help to reduce stress and anxiety. You can incorporate a 30-minute exercise or yoga session into your NEET preparation routine.
7. GET ENOUGH SLEEP
Lack of sleep can impair concentration and cognitive function. Therefore, ensure that you get enough sleep to recharge your brain.
8. AVOID MULTITASKING
Trying to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously can reduce your concentration levels. Focus on one task at a time to improve your concentration.
9. CREATE A WELL-PLANNED STUDY SCHEDULE
Creating a well-planned study schedule is crucial for staying focused and organized during NEET preparation. Prioritize challenging topics, balance your study sessions, and include regular breaks. Hold yourself accountable and track your progress to stay motivated and achieve your NEET goals.
10. ENSURE TIME BOUND COMPLETION
Completing each chapter within the scheduled time is crucial to stay on track with your NEET preparation. Once the allocated time is up, move on to the next chapter and avoid carrying over any unfinished tasks. Rather than worrying about the quantity of questions to practice, prioritize practicing effectively to avoid stress and backlog.
STAY FOCUSED, STAY SUCCESSFULL
Improving your concentration levels for NEET preparation requires a high level of discipline and consistency. In this blog, we have discussed ten proven techniques that can assist you in maintaining focus and concentration throughout your preparation journey. By implementing these techniques, you can create an optimal study environment, take regular breaks, practice mindfulness and exercise, avoid multitasking and distractions, and ensure that each micro activity is completed within a well-planned schedule and timeline.
Remember that your concentration level is a key determinant of your success in NEET preparation and support from the best coaching institute for NEET. With determination, dedication, and persistence, you can develop a strong level of focus and concentration that will help you achieve your desired results. SV AU where Shen Yuan transmigrates into a dragon.
It's not so bad, at first. He's an extremely magical sort of dragon so he can easily take on a humanoid shape, and he has dominion over an entire mountain, with a magical gate that leads to his palace. Said palace has a fully stocked treasury, a library, garden, etc, with the only real downsides being that the place is kind of huge and very difficult for a neet with limited housekeeping or landscaping skills to keep up with. The original dragon had enslaved a bunch of fairy spirits to do it for him, but since Shen Yuan has moral objections to that, he'd let them all go and they'd run off before he could even think to offer to hire any of them as paid employees instead. Not that he can blame them for being in a hurry to get gone.
He does his best, and generally enjoys being a dragon lazing on his mountain, or wandering the beauty of his palace and investigating the books and scrolls kept there. He doesn't actually seem to need to eat or drink, so that's not really an issue, and nobody looks keen to bother him. But after a few months the dust starts to really pile up, and trying to figure out how to do his own laundry without modern equipment leads to several disasters, and even though he doesn't need to eat he's starting to think it would be quite nice to have a fancy sit-down dinner and enjoy it for its own sake anyway. He has an enchanted larder but his food prep skills aren't up to much.
So, Shen Yuan ventures away from his mountain. He keeps to his human disguise when he's not traveling, and at first tries to hire on some help from a nearby city. But when he explains that he lives on the mountain, he realizes the difficulty, because everyone in the area knows that only the dragon lives there. So they all think he's either a liar or a fraud, or some servant of a nefarious supernatural creature angling to trick and possibly devour them.
Shen Yuan tries approaching another town in his dragon form, to see if anyone will actually deal with him if he's being upfront and honest about the situation, but the townspeople just panic. He returns to his mountain to rethink his strategies, and in the meanwhile the alarmed locals hire a swordsman to go after him. The guy gives him a few very painful cuts before Shen Yuan mostly-accidentally sends him careening into a boulder. One broken arm later the swordsman is gently persuaded that the pay he was offered isn't worth the effort on this job, and leaves.
Discouraged, Shen Yuan decides he's gonna give this one last try. He picks the second closest city, flies up, and is like yes hello, yes I am indeed a dragon, no I'm not trying to burn down your walls, yes it would be excellent if you stopped shooting arrows at me, look they don't even get past the scales? It's kind of silly? Okay, yes, thank you very much. Good. Now, the thing is, I'm looking for some people. I want to take them back to my mountain with me, to my incredibly nice palace, and -- what was that? A princess? No no I don't want a princess, what would I even do with one? If anything I'm looking for the complete opposite of a princess!
Anyway, the locals take this to mean that the dragon is demanding a sacrifice in the form of a pretty boy of no particular pedigree, and Shen Yuan takes this to mean that he's finally made his case clear and they're going to dig up someone who is willing to overlook his being a dragon in exchange for free room and board and fair wages out of his massive treasury.
SY's a bit disheartened when the entire city could only apparently turn up one such person -- an underfed teenage boy who looks at Shen Yuan like, despite the situation, he is still expecting to be eaten at any moment. Poor thing! But at least having one servant means he can potentially get more, especially if it all goes well. The lad can tell others that working for a dragon isn't so bad! Well, provided that he doesn't give up in alarm at the state of the mountain palace.
For his part, Luo Binghe at first thinks he's definitely going to get eaten, and then that this dragon is weirdly nice about planning to eat him, and then that maybe the dragon has other (even less savory!) plans for him, until finally he sees the state of the dragon's laundry and the foot-thick layer of dust in the corners, and gets completely distracted. Mortal terror forgotten, those floors should not be that filthy, Lord Dragon respectfully that isn't how anyone should prepare rice either, but oh Binghe has never seen a kitchen so nice before in his life...!
Anyway, needless to say, it works out just fine.

Buddy Daddies Drama 4
*Puts down box*
Kazuki: Okay! Now all of our stuff has been moved into our place. Ah, thank Kyuu-chan. On top of finding us a place, we even asked you to help us move.
Kyuutarou: Well, I'm too involved to stop now. So? How do you feel about the place?
Miri: It's smaller than our old place, isn't it, Rei-papa?
Rei: Yeah... and the TV has gotten smaller too...
Miri: So our mori kart cars have gotten smaller too!
Kazuki: Hey, don't be playing games when you should be unpacking. Besides, I think this is the perfect size for 3 people to live cozily.
Kyuutarou: You're living quite a bit further away than you were at your old place, but the further you are the more difficult it will be for the eyes of the organization to spot you.
Kazuki: Yeah... Well, from what Rei says it doesn't seem like his father is straining his eyes looking for us either.
Kyuutarou: Even if that's the case, there's no mistaking that you sullied the name of the Suwa family. Try to lay low until the heat dies down.
Kazuki: Got it.
Kyuutarou: So? What are you planning on doing from now on?
Kakuzi: Hmm... for now we're going to live off our savings and get Miri into a new preschool... and then after that we'll look for jobs I guess.
Kyuutarou: I see. Do your best for Miri-chan too.
Kazuki: Yeah. Thanks for everything.
Kyuutarou: If you ever need anything, feel free to contact me.
Miri: Kyuu-chan, bye bye!
Kyuutarou: *Laughs and leaves*
Kazuki: Okay! Miri, Rei! Time to get excited for our new life! Let's hurry and put things away and have some move in soba!
Miri/Rei: Yeah!
****************
Kazuki: This one.... mmm.... the pay is too low... This one isn't bad but the hours aren't great... Hm? Drug trials? Hmmm! So in just two weeks I can make that much by just taking medicine and sleeping? It's not bad but...
Rei: Kazuki, have you found a job?
Kazuki: Rei, if I said I was going away for work for two weeks... what would you do?
Rei: Huh? Meaning you wouldn't be here at all for two weeks?
Kazuki: Yeah. You'd need to wake Miri up, feed her breakfast, change her, take her to preschool, come back home, clean, do laundry, make food, go pick her up, give her a bath, feed her dinner, play with her, read her a book, get her ready for tomorrow, wake her up the next day, for 14 days. All by yourself.
Rei: N-Nope. Not yet.
Kazuki: I figured. So nothing away from home for now. But our savings is going to run out soon so we seriously have to start working soon or we'll be in trouble. And you can't even move one of your arms...
Rei: I thought there would be many jobs I could do with only one arm... but it's surprisingly hard.
Kazuki: In your case it's not just your arm, you're also unsociable. Your interview the other day was awful, wasn't it?
****************
Interviewer: Do you have any special skills, Suwa-san?
Rei: Special skills...? I'm familiar with handling guns. Including disassembly. I won't let anything I target get away.
Interviewer: Y-You mean... airguns, right?
****************
Rei: I didn't have anything else to say.
Kazuki: Well, since you've been a NEET for so long I figured having you suddenly return to society would be a high hurdle. We're about to run out of our savings. We seriously have to work or it will be bad. But there's something that would be even worse than that.
Rei: Something worse than that?
Kazuki: If I'm the only one working then you'd have to do all the housework yourself. You've recently learned how to hang clothes up to dry but for everything else you suck. You're completely useless! At this rate this room is sure to become a pigsty. And it'll be bad for raising Miri! So now we're going to hold "Rei's special training week focusing on housework!"
Rei: Special training?
Kazuki: I've been going easy on you because I thought you couldn't move your right arm but now I'm going to become a monster! A cooking, laundry, and housework monster!
Rei: I really can't move my right arm though...
Kazuki: Shut up! Despite that you've gotten even better at mori kart than before, haven't you!? Miri told me! She said you set a new record the other day!
Rei: I was so happy I did a victory pose without even thinking about it.
Kazuki: And so! We're going to use that effort on housework! Who are the ones taking care of Miri?
Rei: You and... me.
Kazuki: And what else is there to taking care of her besides playing with her...?
Rei: Taking her to school and back, housework, laundry...
Kazuki: That's right! So now we're going to do special training and drill you until you're able to do all of those things on your own!
Rei: Geh...
Miri: Papas! What are you doing?
Rei: Miri...
Kazuki: Mm! I'm going to be giving Rei special training now!
Miri: Special training?
Kazuki: Umm... it means he's going to try hard to become able to do things he can't do right now.
Miri: I understand! He's doing a training journey! I saw it on TV!
Kazuki: Oh, you're amazing Miri! That's right! A training journey!
Rei: I didn't say I was going to-
Miri: So, Rei-papa is doing a training journey?! That's so cool!
Rei: I'll do it.
Kazuki: Okay, then starting today until you become a functioning adult I'll be your boss. What do you say?
Rei: Yes. Boss.
Miri: Yes, boss!
Kazuki: Mmm! You both gave good responses. Let's start!
**************
Kazuki: This is how Rei's training began.
Kazuki: Okay, everything about cleaning is important. Let's start with vacuuming.
Kazuki: Don't skip the corners! Your target likes to lurk in the corners!
Rei: The corners!
Kazuki: In places with running water you're in a constant battle with water droplets! You must have an iron determination to never allow limescale!
Rei: O-Okay!
Kazuki: Miri's room is the most important location! You have to make sure to diligently vacuum and use the lint roller to protect against dust allergies!
Rei: I'm... tired...
Kazuki: We're not done yet! Next is laundry!
Kazuki: You need to memorize the differences between pods and regular detergent and learn how to use laundry nets! There's things to wash every single day!
Rei: There's too many things to remember!
Kazuki: Learn how to separate the garbage and when the garbage truck comes! And on top of that check which stores have the cheapest bags that won't break!
Rei: *Panting*
Kazuki: It's important to learn how to write in the preschool correspondence notebook, but your most important mission is learning to exchange messages with the mom friends! The smooth exchange of information is essential to surviving in the world of child raising!
Rei: I-... *falls down on ground* I can't do it anymore... This is way more physically and mentally exhausting than fighting... I've never experienced training like this before...
Kazuki: Stand up, Rei! You've still got to wash the rice.
Rei: I'm at my limit. I want to eat chips, hide in my room, and play games.
Kazuki: Ah... oh no... he has dead eyes. Hey, Rei! Keep going! Miri's watching
Miri: Rei-papa's training journey is so cool!
Rei: I'm going... to wash... the rice!
Kazuki: Oh! There's a light in his eyes! Miri, keep on cheering him on like that.
Miri: Okay! Rei-papa! Do your best! Do your best!
Rei: What is this power rising within me? I can do it! I can do it!
Miri: Rei-papa stood up!
Kazuki: Yes! That's it Miri! That was even more effective than I expected! Okay!
*******************
Kazuki: Rei's special training continued even while I was at work.
Rei: Hmm... cleaning takes a while with only one arm... I'll put the last glass here...
*Glass shatters*
Miri: Rei-papa!
Rei: Miri! Don't come over here!
Miri: *Whines*
Rei: I dropped a glass so it's dangerous.
*Rei attempts to pick up glass*
Rei: I can get the big pieces... but the smaller ones... I guess a broom and dustpan?
*Gets out broom and dustpan and starts sweeping*
Rei: I can't hold both of them with one arm... I guess I'll just have to wait till Kazuki comes home?
Miri: Rei-papa!
Rei: Miri, it's dangerous so don't get-...
*Miri holds the dustpan*
Rei: You...
Miri: I'll hold the dustpan, okay?
Rei: Oh... thank you, Miri.
Miri: *giggles*
*Sweeping*
Rei: Okay. Perfect.
Miri: Perfect! Papa! High five!
Rei: Yeah!
Miri: YAY!
*High fives*
Rei: *Laughs*
*******************
Kazuki: We're now going to hold your final test! The challenge is to make my special french toast all by yourself!
*Rei cooking*
Rei: Now!
*Flips toast*
Kazuki: His flipping timing is perfect!
Miri: Perfect!
Rei: Done.
Kazuki: Itadakimasu
Miri: Itadakimasu!
*Everyone eating*
Rei: How is it?
Kazuki: It's good. It's seriously good! This is so good you could serve it in a restaurant!
Rei: *Laughs excitedly*
Miri: Rei-papa's french toast is good!
Rei: Miri!
Kazuki: And it's not just his french toast! He's able to clean and do laundry perfectly too! I think it will be fine leaving the house to him now.
Rei: No, not yet.
Kazuki: Huh? No, you don't need to be that worri-
Rei: I feel like I haven't selected the best bread for french toast yet.
Kazuki: Huh?
Rei: I realized when I was practicing, different breads have different textures. Rather than the one from the grocery store, the one from the bakery in town is more suited for absorbing moisture.
Kazuki: No... you don't have to be that picky...
Rei: And the eggs. Today I just used 10 that were on sale, but I wonder what would happen if I used more expensive eggs? Also depending on the way you mix it the texture changes. But that's obvious isn't it? If there's different amounts of air.
Kazuki: Hey... Rei...?
Rei: I also want to test the coffee that goes with it. I want to use a coffee grinder with a proper pour over and make the best cup of coffee!
Kazuki: Wait, wait, wait!
Rei: Actually I already ordered a coffee making set online.
Kazuki: Hey!
Rei: It seems like it's here.
Kazuki: Huh.....? What's going on?
Miri: Rei-papa looks like he's having fun!
Kazuki: Hey, Miri. Go tell Rei-papa to cool it.
Miri: Huh? But...
Rei: Okay.
Miri: I'll help!
Kazuki: Hey, hey. Don't bother Rei-papa...
Rei: Thanks.
Kazuki: Huh?
Rei: I'll open the big boxes and you can open the small ones. We'll split the work between us.
Miri: Okay!
Miri: I opened it! Yay!
Rei: Yay!
*Rei and Miri high five*
Kazuki: You're doing high fives? You've gotten so close...
Rei: Miri, you can open that one too.
Miri: Okay!
Kazuki: *Laughs* I can leave the house in peace like this.
Miri: I opened it!
Rei: I opened this one too. You did well, Miri.
Miri: *Giggles*
Kazuki: I can do it in peace.... but... it feels weird... like I'm going to lose my place.
Miri: Hey, papa! I want to play Mori Kart!
Rei: After we finished putting away these boxes, okay?
Miri: Okay!
Kazuki: Miri, would you like to play with me? Mori kart?
Rei: Kazuki?
Kazuki: I'll play with Miri!
Miri: With Kazuki-papa?
Kazuki: That's right!
Miri: Hmm... I don't want to!
Kazuki: Huh? But you said you wanted to play...
Miri: You're bad at games so it'd be boring!
Kazuki: EH!?
Miri: I prefer Rei-papa!
Rei: Hmm! So she says!
Kazuki: *Screams* At this rate I'll lose my parental respect...
Kazuki: Rei!
Rei: Hm?
Kazuki: Please! Give me special training! I want to be good at games!
Rei: But aren't you going to work?
Kazuki: I'll work too! So let me game! I'll keep my respect as a parent through games!
Rei: Okay. But games aren't that easy. Sometimes they're even harder than being an assassin.
Kazuki: Huh? Really?
Rei: You look down on games. If you're serious I won't go easy on you.
Kazuki: Eh? Okay! I'll beat your record!
Rei: Okay. Then I'll train you. You should say "Okay, boss" to me.
Kazuki: Eh? ...Okay... boss...
**************
Kazuki: And so then my days of special training, so tough I could vomit blood, along with working began...
Kazuki: At night I'm working at a construction site, a bartender, and a cleaner and during the day it's mori kart! I'll fly through both of these tasks with ease!
Rei: You pressed the brake too late!
Kazuki: Damn it! One more time! Ugh...
Rei: Don't just drive around randomly. Remember the course and the shortcuts.
Kazuki: Guh!
*crash*
Kazuki: Ehh?!
Rei: You used your item too late.
Man: Hey, newbie! That's some messy-...!
Kazuki: *Shouting*
Man: He's fired up...
*Crash*
Kazuki: Ah...
Rei: That was a close race. It's proof you don't have the specs of each kart memorized. I told you that the day before yesterday too.
Kazuki: *Growls*
Woman: Kahlua milk please
Kazuki: Okay, Okay, Okay! Here you go!
Woman: Wah...? ...Thanks...
*crash*
Rei: You needed to take the shortcut there and use your item.
Kazuki: Oh.
Rei: By the way, I told you that last week. Remember it!
Kazuki: *Sobs*
*Scrubbing*
Kazuki: *Panting and shouting*
Woman: Hold the mop right! You're not cleaning at all!
Kazuki *Sobbing and shouting*
Rei: Why are you breaking like that at the last cur-...
Kazuki: *Snoring*
Rei: Hey!
Kazuki: Ah! I'm not sleeping. I'm not sleeping.
Rei: That's enough for today.
Kazuki: Don't be ridiculous! We've barely done anything today!
Rei: This isn't a game you can win while sleep-driving. Don't underestimate it.
**************
Miri: I'm home!
Rei: I'm home.
Miri: Hmm... Kazuki-papa isn't home today, either...
Rei: Well, he has work
Miri: Oh... work... it can't be helped!
Rei: Miri...
**********
Rei: Welcome home
Kazuki: *groans*
Rei: Hey!
Kazuki: Huh? Oh sorry... training right? Training...
Rei: We're not doing that today.
Kazuki: Why?
Rei: Go look in a mirror. Your face looks awful.
Kazuki: *Laughs* This isn't anything...
Rei: During the day you're training for mori kart, and at night you're doing night shifts. When are you sleeping?
Kazuki: This... isn't-....
*Passes out*
Rei: Kazuki!
*Rei runs*
*Ambulance sirens*
***********
Kazuki: Where am I?
Rei: The hospital.
Kazuki: Ah! Rei!
Rei: You overworked yourself. They said after that IV is finished you can go home.
Kazuki: Oh I see... passed out. I'm sorry.
Rei: I'm not the one you should apologize to. Say it to Miri.
Miri: *Snoring*
Rei: Even though I said you'd be fine she wouldn't leave your bedside and fell asleep while holding your arm.
Kazuki: *Laughs* So that's why my right arm feels heavy...
Miri: *groans* Papa...
Kazuki: I'm so pathetic... now that I think about it I was so focused on the game I didn't talk to Miri much... I'm really doing everything backwards.
Rei: It's okay even if you can't game.
Kazuki: Hm?
Rei: I'm gonna go home now. I need to clean. I'll leave Miri to you.
Miri: *wakes up* Hm?
Kazuki: Miri, are you awake?
Miri: Kazuki-papa? Eh? Ah! Are you better now?!
Kazuki: *Laughs* Yeah! Completely! Seeing your face gives me 100 times more energy! Thank you.
Miri: *Giggles* Yeah!
Kazuki: I'll make you anything you want today as a thank you! What would you like?
Miri: Hmm... French toast!
Kazuki: Okay got it! ...is what I want to say but... Rei's is better than mine so you should get him to make it.
Miri: No. Today I want yours, Kazuki-papa!
Kazuki: Huh?
Miri: Rei-papa's french toast and your french toast are both the best in the world!
Kazuki: Ah... I see
***************
Everyone: Itadakimasu!
*Everyone eats*
Rei: Your french toast and mine really do taste a little different.
Kazuki: Hm? Well, the recipe was the same... but differences in cooking styles might make some difference in taste.
Rei: You learn a lot when you make it yourself. How hard it is...
Miri: Both of them are good!
Rei: and the happiness it gives.
Kazuki: I realized something too.
Rei: What?
Kazuki: When I'm doing night shifts, I can't spend time eating with you and Miri like this.
Ri: Ahh...
Kazuki: I'm going to stop taking night shifts. Nothing is more important than time with family! ...but we still have to think of what to do for a job. How do you even choose a job?
Rei: We don't even really have the option of being choosy.
Kazuki: Right...?
Rei: What about a house cleaning service?
Kazuki: Well it's not like we couldn't but.... Hmm... What about doing background checks?
Rei: I don't really want to leave the house. It would decrease my time with Miri.
Kazuki: Man, you... *sighs* What should we do?
Miri: *Happily eating*
Kazuki: Seeing her smiling face makes our troubles seem like nothing.
Rei: Miri, is it good?
Miri: Yeah!
Kazuki: We have enough for seconds! Do you want some?
Miri: I want it! But...
Rei: But?
Miri: I want to eat with everyone!
Kazuki: Everyone?
Miri: Yeah! Like Anna-chan, Kotori-chan, Hinata-chan, Taiga-kun and my friends at my new preschool! Everyone! I'm sure they'd all think it was good and be happy!
Rei: I see... then how about we make a whole bunch next time and invite everyone?
Miri: YAY!
Rei: If we invite the mom friends then it should make exchanging information smooth, right, Kazuki?
Kazuki: Everyone? Everyone! That's it!
Rei: What?
Kazuki: We should open a restaurant! Like Kyuu-chan! I can cook! And if it's french toast then you can make it perfectly. Besides, we've already got all the best equipment for coffee!
Rei: Hmmm... if the restaurant and our house are in the same place then we can always be with Miri.
Kazuki: What do you think, Rei?
Rei: It's not bad.
Kazuki: Okay! Then it's decided! Miri, we're opening a restaurant!
Miri: We're playing restaurant?
Kazuki: Not playing! A real one!
Miri: Rei-papa is unsociable so we can't!
Rei: Wha! Miri... where did you learn that?
Miri: Kazuki-papa says it! Unsociable!
Kazuki: W-well... we can do something about it with special training!
Rei: Ehh? Special training again?
Kazuki: Yeah, on days when you don't have housework.
Miri: It's okay, Rei-papa! I'll cheer you on lots!
Rei: Yeah... then I can probably do it.
Kazuki: Okay! So then where should we start? Should we start with a name?
Rei: No, shouldn't we find a location for it first?
Miri: I think there should be pictures on the wall at the restaurant! Should I draw some?
Kazuki: Yeah, please, Master Artist Miri! Ahh... Do we need to go to some government office to get permits?
Rei: Government offices again? I hate them.
Miri: It's okay! You just tell them to do as you say!
Kazuki: That's right! It will work out!
***************
Kazuki: Th-Thank you for waiting.
Rei: Here's your french toast and coffee... sir.
Kazuki: Eat up, Kyuu-chan!
Kyuutarou: Ita-
Kazuki: How is it?
Rei: Is it good?
Kyuutarou: I haven't eaten yet.
Kazuki: Ahh, right! Sorry.
Kyuutarou: Itadakimasu
Rei: It makes me nervous to have someone other than Kazuki and Miri eat it.
Kazuki: Well, he is a pro... and I don't think we'll be open long if we can't get approval from our peers... So how is it Kyuu-chan!?
Kyuutarou: Well... first of all, Kazuki.
Kazuki: Yes!?
Kyuutarou: Your face is stiff and creepy. Stop fake smiling at the customers to try to flatter them.
Kazuki: Eh!?
Kyuutarou: Rei!
Rei: Yes?
Kyuutarou: You're too blank faced. And you need to look the customers in the eye.
Rei: Okay...
Kazuki: So... how does it taste?
Kyuutarou: I think it's alright.
Kazuki/Rei: Oh!
Kyuutarou: So this is your answer?
Kazuki: Yeah! I don't know how long we can keep doing it... but this is a place for our family.
Rei: I'll do my best at work and spending time with Miri.
Kyuutarou: Yeah! Do your best at making your own family.
Kazuki: Oh! There's a customer! Rei!
Rei: Yeah.

For requests, could I pretty please request some chenmiya? Maybe a naughty get together from the succubus au we keep talking about? Like their first one. It can be anything anywhere! Thank youuu love you forever!
Of course madame. Our special this evening is angsty dramatic victorian beans undergoing gothic emotions in a stereotypical yuri highschool setting with a side of implied future throuple.
(Everyone present is 18 or older, ofc.) (Dubcon warning, and descriptions of hunger, pls be safe!)
/\/\/\/\/\
Amiya has always been studious. Responsible. Responsive to instruction.
She always gets her schoolwork done ahead of time. She always waters all the flowerbeds across the grounds on-schedule. She always scores in the top 5 on every test. She never misses class. She never lets herself be seen out late.
And she never, ever eats where she sleeps.
But last night she was stuck inside, getting ahead on homework she wouldn’t be able to do on next week’s trip, and she didn’t have a chance to step out at night and get something to eat. And her emergency backup option, the NEET at the corner house by the train station who always sleeps late, had chosen this day, of all days, to get up early and venture outside.
The nurse is out today too. Her teacher asks for some help during lunch, so she doesn’t have time to sneak over to the other section where that scary flashy girl always takes naps for a snack.
And when school lets out, she has an appointment to talk about her college recommendation.
But it’s fine. It’s fine. She’s made it through the day. She just has to finish watering the last of the flowers and go home.
But she’s so, so hungry.
She wipes her forehead clean of sweat and adjusts her straw hat.
“—Amiya.”
Oh no.
Ch’en’s low voice, normally stoic—even chilly—is so warm, curling with fondness at the edges.
A shiver, a pit of dread and tension settles low in her belly.
“Oh, Ch’en!” She pushes herself to her feet and turns. “How—“
Her eye twitches. The way her track uniform compliments her—the exposed belly, the strong arms, the bead of sweat tracing the line of her handsome jaw. The casual potency of her posture. The way her hair is tied up, exposing the line of her neck.
The way she smells.
“…was your meet today?”
“Hmm. I’m proud enough of my performance, but there’s always room for improvement. But the freshmen really put in their best effort this time.” She smiles, then, subtly proud and caring in that thin, hard-won way that torments Amiya’s nights. “It seems like you’re working hard as well. Can I help you with anything?”
Amiya’s stomach growls.
“Oh! No, thank you, that’s very sweet of you to offer, but I’m almost done, and I’m sure you’re pretty tired anyway.” She turns away to hide her irises narrowing like a cat’s.
“Are you sure?” Ch’en asks, stepping forward. The cloud of her scent envelops Amiya, all active sweat and cool assurance and stoic virility, and she feels herself twitch. “I don’t want to push you, but I promise it wouldn’t be a burden. Anything you need, you know you can ask me.”
Ch’en steadying her with a hand on her waist, and smiling down at her with her eyes from so close up. Ch’en sternly scolding the first years, but smiling proudly as soon as they turn around, resolved to give it their best renewed again. Ch’en demolishing the opposition in a kendo match, and stoically, graciously accepting her medal. Ch’en gathering Amiya’s hand in both of hers, murmuring soft words of reassurance and then wiping her tears with her fingertips. Ch’en grabbing a book from a high shelf, and handing it to her with a smirk. Ch’en, warmth in her voice, calling her name.
Amiya grips her watering can, white-knuckled. Her gut flares with hunger. Ch’en, Ch’en is always like this. She’s so cool, but so gentle, considerate. So bold, so unguarded… she’s so good, she makes it hard for Amiya not to be bad.
“… Ch’en, you really—”
“Ahaha! Chenchen, don’t be so needy! Give the little bunny some space.”
“—oof!”
Amiya puts the can down and turns just in time to see Ch’en struggle her way out of the crook of Blaze’s elbow, her top rucking up all the way to the bottom of her sports bra as pushes out of her teammate’s sweaty embrace. She glares at her like an affronted cat, but Blaze has already changed targets.
“Waaahh!”
“Ehe, gotcha!” Blaze’s big arms trap Amiya in their hold, her face pushed up into her bicep and the corner of a boob pressed into her eye.
“Blaze, you’re all sweaty!” she whines, cheeks burning as she stops up her breath so she doesn’t breathe in her scent, doesn’t make a lunge at her own childhood friend.
“Awww, you’re sweaty too, y’know, working so hard out here in all this heat!” She pulls Amiya’s hat off, and ruffles her fingers in her hair. “I guess you’re right, though, I’m probably pretty rank.” She laughs, loud as ever, releasing Amiya from her prison to stumble back a step. “I did run my heart out, after all.” She taps her pacemaker scar where it peeks out from under her running top and winks at Amiya, who rolls her eyes good-naturedly.
Her arms are so strong and heavy, she’s so warm, so generous, surely…
“You know,” Blaze says, turning her gaze back to Ch’en, “this one here smoked everybody in four different events. Pretty impressive, right?” There’s a straightness to her spine, all of a sudden, a firmness—challenge. Ch’en gazes straight back at her, unflinching. “If you’re so humble like that, you’ll make the rest of us busting our asses to catch you feel bad. I dunno, maybe you should take some more pride in your accomplishments.”
“If you don’t like it,” Ch’en replies, “then beat me.”
Ah. She can feel it in the air. Tension, desire. She’s hungry.
“Oh, you can count on it,” Blaze growls, smiling slowly. “I better not catch you resting on your laurels, or I’ll knock you off your feet.”
“I guess we’ll see.”
“I guess we will.”
They stare each other down.
Amiya’s stomach growls. If she pushed them together, here, into each others’ space, she could fill her belly. It would be so so tasty.
She needs to get home.
“Anyway!” Blaze claps her hands together. “I gotta get out of here. I’ve got a meeting I’m gonna be late to. Oh yeah!” she exclaims, stiltedly, and turns to Amiya with a big shit-eating grin. “I totally forgot, I was supposed to wheel the equipment cart back to the storage room. Could you two please get it for me?” She winks at Amiya, with the smug pride of an expert wingman.
Amiya’s stomach drops. She makes frantic eyes at Blaze, who mimes a fistbump and then spins away.

“Okey dokey, that’s all the time I have! See ya see ya!”
Before Amiya can say anything, she dashes off, leaving her and Ch’en alone again.
Ch’en’s eyes are already back on her. Amiya can hear her heart beating in her ears. “Sorry about her,” she says. “She’s always been like that, but she means well.”

Ch’en nods, smiling gently at her in that way she has, just for Amiya. “You’re a good friend. And she’s a good teammate.”
Amiya turns away from her, cheeks warm, insides a mess. It’s not fair, for Ch’en to smile like that, to talk to her so softly, when she’s trying so hard to keep her hands to herself. “Alright! Let me just finish up here, and then I’ll go take care of that cart.”
“We’ll take care of it. Please, Amiya, at least let me help you with that.”
She doesn’t have the heart to say no.
She’s so doomed.
Amiya puts her glasses back on, and grips the handle of the cart with sweaty hands. Next to her, Ch’en’s left hand almost touches her right, and she patiently waits for Amiya to brace herself before she starts pushing, together with her.
Amiya’s stomach is full of butterflies and gnawing emptiness. Ch’en smells good. So good. Just a little taste, a little bit—she knows she’d be so satisfying, and then—
She shakes her head.
“Amiya, are you alright?”
Guileless concern. Tenderness. It’s so much.
“I’m fine, don’t worry!”
“You always say that. You’re so strong. But if you ever need to lean on someone, I’m here for you.”
She pulses.
It’s not fair, Ch’en, it’s not fair.
She licks her teeth, inside her mouth.
And together, they push.
She knows she’s cute. People say she’s pretty. And her gently teasing sense of humor, the contrast with her primness, is honed and effective. Amiya is confident in her abilities.
But Ch’en never responds to any of it. Not even a little bit of want to tide her over during the schoolday. She knows Ch’en likes girls, from the low hum of desire that leaks from her in the changing room, even as she graciously and inconspicuously turns her head aside aside. But that desire has never been turned towards Amiya, no matter how hard she’s tried.
Instead, she always gets that smile, that soft smile—polite, respectful, restrained, yet warm and unguarded. It drives her crazy, has driven her crazy. It’s that smile she sees after she falls asleep on Ch’en’s shoulder, when she presses her chest into her arm, when Amiya lets their eye contact linger a moment too long and then smiles, when she laughs at something and then gives her a single glimpse of something mischievous: when she leans in close and brushes hair out of her face, and smiles at her; when she traces her muscles with a little laugh, and then goes quiet breathing just a little harder; when she laces her fingers into Ch’en’s, and smiles up at her.
And always, always, she gets that same smile back. Because Amiya’s been crazy about her since before she used to leave little letters of encouragement in her locker, since before she came of age and started hunting on her own, since before they met again in highschool and before the years they were separated by fate and circumstance.
Ch’en smiled at her that same way during those months in the hospital waiting room back when they were in fifth grade, going through tragedies beyond what anyone their age should have to hold.
And Amiya’s feelings have changed with the seasons, with the years.
But Ch’en’s smile never changes.
Ch’en’s just really fond of her.
They reach the storage shed.
And of course, of course, Ch’en asks Amiya to hold the door while she pushes the cart inside—always trying to surreptitiously give her the lighter task, to take on more for herself, always framing it as a request for help because she knows how self-conscious Amiya can get.
If she knew, Amiya thinks, would she do the same thing? Would she feel obligated to…
They fit the cart in, and the doors swing shut behind them, and then they’re alone together in that dark, cramped space.
She feels hollow. Empty. Her hands are tingling, her head hurts. Ch’en smells so so good. She could just, a little bit…
“Amiya? Are you alright?”
“Oh. Yes, I’m… I’m fine, thank you.” She smiles weakly. Her head is spinning. Ch’en frowns at her, unconvinced, worried. “Please. Let’s just… get this done with?”
“… Alright. If you say so. But please, if you need anything…”
Amiya digs a fingernail into her hand.
“You’ll be the first to know.”
Together, they begin to unload the cart. Hurdles, warmup equipment, batons, stanchions… the space is cramped, and they keep brushing against each other. It’s not fair, she can’t take it. The whole room smells like Ch’en, it smells so good, and she has to…
She crouches down to grab a box of starting blocks from the lower rack, and when she stands up she feels a rush of numbness all of a sudden, her vision goes blank, and she stumbles sleepily.
As the blood slowly reaches her brain, she realizes… Ch’en, she’s touching her. She’s slumped against Ch’en’s chest, an arm slung under her own to hold her up. Her touch is so soothing, a slow trickle of the vital energy that spills from her, tantalizing Amiya’s yawning hunger. At some point, Ch’en deftly took the box from her hand. She looks up into those concerned eyes, and she wants so badly that it hurts, a dull sting through her whole body like slow fire.
“Please, Amiya. Please at least let me carry the heavy things.”
“…Okay. I’m sorry. Thank you, Ch’en.”
“Can you stand?”
She pushes herself to her feet, and they stand there, so close together, breathing onto each others’ faces.
She could just stand on her tiptoes, and…
Ch’en gently smooths out the collar of her uniform with her free hand, and smiles at her, all princely worry.
She pats Amiya’s shoulder, and then steps in against her to pass by her on the narrow shelves, heading for the place on the rack for starting blocks.
Absently, Amiya wanders back to the cart, fixing her glasses, and grabs something from it.
Too much. It’s all too much. All these years, and all these hours… she’s at her limit.
I can’t take it anymore, Ch’en. I can’t. I’m so hungry. I know you’ll never want me like that. So I’ll give you a little push, and we can have a pleasant dream together, and then go back to being friends. Help me with this one little thing, will you?
With a feeling of dread anticipation, she spills over.
There’s… no existing attraction there to amplify. So she’s really, really gotta let her have it.
She fills up the dark, cool space of the shed. The shadows stretch and lengthen, a half-dreamscape overtaking the waking world.
“Ch’en,” she says, voice sweet, breathy: stretching, reaching helplessly to place a stack of plastic cones on the top shelf. “Can you help me with this? I can’t reach high enough.”
“Of course,” she says, her voice aching, yearning. “Anything… anything. You know I would—”
Her voice. As she talks her voice sinks deeper and deeper into her chest, becomes something husky, fervid. “And I… you’re so… I don’t—“ Ch’en trails off, behind her. Amiya hears her swallow. Feels her gaze burning into her. She can feel that throb of desire finally, finally, pointed her way, the heat she’s yearned for.
She just wishes it didn’t have to happen like this.
“Ch’en?” She sounds shy, sweet. Ch’en’s always liked that type—bookish, kind, gentle. She’s always caught her eye on girls like that.
Except for…
“Ah. Ah… I’m sorry. Of course.”
Ch’en steps in, pressed right up against her from behind, and gently takes the plastic cones from her hands, pressing her into the shelves as she reaches up to put them away.
“There you go,” she says, husky and soothing.
But she doesn’t step away.
Amiya shivers.
“Ch’en…? Are you—“
Those rough, kind hands gently caress her forearms, up to her wrists. Then they seize her, and press her firmly to the equipment in front of her.
She whines as Ch’en leans in, heavy breaths blowing hot against her ear, chest pressing into her back.
“Amiya, Amiya, I… I shouldn’t, but you—“
Amiya yields to her entirely, letting herself be pinned to the heavy box in front of her, sighing in satisfaction.
Ch’en makes a wounded noise behind her, panting heavily, sweating. “I can’t… you’re so…” she takes in a breath, a pull into her lungs of the scent of Amiya’s hair from just behind her ear, and sobs. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. Amiya I’m sorry, I can’t—“
It’s like ice water thrown over her whole body.
What… what is she doing?
She takes in a deep breath, and pulls her energy back up into herself.
Ch’en stumbles away from her and into the other shelves, throwing a hand up to catch herself as they shake with a clatter.
Amiya’s chest feels hollowed out. Crushed. She had shaped it to feel like just a simple, meaningless sexy dream, and idle fantasy, but Ch’en had fought so hard, and… and it had turned into a nightmare.
Oh. She really. Really doesn’t like me, like that, even if I…
“I’m sorry,” she says. “I’m sorry, Ch’en, I… it was my fault, I made you…”
“No,” Ch’en says, grave, dreadful, but still so gentle. “No, Amiya, please. Listen to me. This is—this is my fault. I didn’t have enough self-control, I—you can’t blame yourself, for things I did. You don’t control my actions, I do. I’m the one to blame. I need you to know that.”
She sounds like she’s gritting her teeth. Like she’s going to cry.
Oh, Ch’en. She’d been careless. She’d wounded her heart, through her own selfishness, and now proud, gentle Ch’en was tearing herself apart for sins that weren’t her own, falling on her own sword to spare Amiya the pain she thought she’d caused.
There’s no coming back from this. She has done something that can’t be taken back.
There’s only one thing she can do to make it right. One way to take back the blame that rightfully belongs with her, even if it destroys this life she’s built these last 18 years.
She pushes off the shelf, pulls away from Ch’en, stepping into the open center of the storage shed. She watches as Ch’en’s heart visibly breaks as she retreats, seeing in it the confirmation of her guilt.
“I’m sorry, Ch’en,” she says. She carves this last look at her into her heart, smiling wistfully.
It’s been so much fun.
“I’ve been keeping something from you.”
She closes her eyes. Her wings unfurl from her hips, her horns spiral from her head, and her long, thin tail fades into existence behind her.
She can’t bear to see the reaction.
“I pushed those feelings on you. Since you… weren’t interested in me, I used my powers to… give you a little push. Just because I was hungry. I’m sorry, Ch’en. I’m so sorry.”
“Amiya…” she breathes. “what…?”
She forces a watery smile. “I’m not human. I’ve been lying to you all this time. I… I’m sorry.”
“I had no idea.” Ch’en’s voice is so soft. She steps closer. Amiya feels the rough, kind brush of her hand, where her neck and shoulder meet. “All this time, you’ve been carrying this alone…”
Amiya trembles. She’s so kind, even to someone like—
“…I’m sorry too. There’s something I’ve been keeping from you, as well.” Her voice is so low, so rough, so heavy with emotion.
Amiya blinks open her eyes. Ch’en is right there in front of her, smiling ruefully.
She bends down, resting her forehead on Amiya’s shoulder, like she’s praying, like she’s in pain.
“You didn’t need any kind of magic. I…”
She takes a slow, painful breath, and lets it out as a shudder, a death rattle.
Her fingers ball in Amiya’s uniform, clutching, desperate.
And then it hits her—a wave of yearning, of hunger, so strong, so compressed, it makes her feel drunk, a head-high that leaves her feeling sluggish and ragged.
“Oh, Ch’en… you—hnnn!”
Ch’en bites her shoulder, possessed with passion, the dull clamp of a predator’s prey-like desperation.
Amiya latches onto her in turn, arms and wings and tail clutching her close, squeezing her tight.
Ch’en licks the mark she’s made on her shoulder, slow and fervent, breaths shuddering, like she’s moving in a dream, so far beyond thought and reason. She nips at Amiya’s ear, and a spark shoots through her.
“I’ve always told you,” Ch’en murmurs, voice hoarse, wrecked, “if you need anything, please, please… please, take it from me.”
Amiya sobs.
Without saying a word, she gathers her power, and pours everything into Ch’en.

Spinner used to be a hikikomori and NEET, which means he was a recluse who wasn’t in school or employment (and technically still isn’t) and had withdrawn even from his family to hide out in his room.
Tumblr media
We get two one-panel flashbacks to this era of his life and the imagery prove the label undeniable. As official Viz translator Caleb Cook notes:
Tumblr media
…Book stacks, tied-up garbage bags, general clutter. This is the classic NEET/hikikkomori living space, as portrayed in media like Welcome to the NHK and other series. It screams "young adult whose life is in shambles.” There's huge visual contrast between a NEET apartment and a teen's room in manga/anime. The latter is almost always spick and span. In Japanese media, excessive clutter is often a visual marker for characters who have failed society's expectations of them. Practically a trope.
Going by this imagery, guess who else is a hikikomori/NEET— or, is (supposed to be) read as a hikikomori/NEET?
Tumblr media
Shigaraki Tomura’s room fulfills all the requirements of this trope, down to every tiny bit of filth on the floor. There’s really no difference between his and Spinner’s room.
And Spinner likely recognizes this. While everyone else is watching Shigaraki after they escape from Kamino - minus Mr. Compress and Toga who are talking - Spinner is the only one staring at the dirty floor, lost in his own thoughts.
I’ve seen meta before about how Shigaraki’s living conditions are a direct result of All For One’s lack of proper education - that All For One purposefully wants Shigaraki to have bad hygiene, to wallow in his own filth and just completely neglect any basic upkeep. Just another way to whittle him down. That’s a fair assumption, but I think it’s worth pointing out that in Tenko’s early years living with All For One, his room is neat and clean, even after he starts to accumulate toys and books and general stuff.
Tumblr media
The best time to teach a child to set (or not set) habits is when they’re young, and clearly Tenko knew at least to not toss litter around carelessly, to put things away, and even to make his bed:
Tumblr media
Of course, it could be that the teaching of deterioration started when AFO gave Shigaraki Tomura his name, but the people around Shigaraki the most have always shown to be neat and proper: AFO is always dressed in a suit; the Doctor’s lab is crowded with a lot going on, but not dirty; Kurogiri, who we assume has been babysitting Shigaraki for years, keeps the bar immaculate. AFO’s other wards also live in neat, clean environments:
Tumblr media
That’s not to say AFO didn’t contribute at all to Shigaraki’s hikikomori vibe - simply keeping someone isolated and depressed will bound to make a mess of their mind and that will be reflected in the environment; just that AFO didn’t have to purposefully teach Shigaraki not to clean up after himself - he didn’t need to when Shigaraki does it on his own.
In any case, Shigaraki reads as a hikikomori/NEET from the start, someone alienated from society and wildly off the typical, proper life path expected of him as a young man, and resents the rest of the world for it.
Combining the two observations, I think this is another aspect to why Spinner had so quickly grew attached to Shigaraki after the Doc calls Shigaraki a loser
Tumblr media
Being hikikomori/NEET is just another commonality they both share, in Spinner’s eyes. Before the crumbling, glittery horizon of Deika; even before the revelation of Shigaraki’s grand ‘Destroy Everything’ goal, Spinner was just some depressed 20-something-year-old who saw another depressed 20-something-year-old and recognized their similar pain, then wanting to lift that burden somehow, however he could.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*Important to note: Often hikikomori/NEETs are seen as failures that can really only blame themselves, lazy parasites on their families and society. Of the three hikikomori the series have shown so far - Shigaraki, Spinner, La Brava - the story have been careful to clearly draw a line between the marginalization they face and why they ended up how they did. Shigaraki was kidnapped by a criminal mastermind; Spinner stayed inside for his own protection because walking outside got him sprayed with pesticides, among other things; and La Brava was bullied and mocked by her peers. Horikoshi have made all three characters incredibly sympathetic and made the root cause of their alienation not from faults of their own but from how society had failed them.

Summary:
“Ne, ne, Sakura-chan~.” Suo brightly called.
Sakura was in the backroom working on a bouquet. He had his work apron over his outfit, and was sitting on a stool while cutting different ribbons to wrap around the flowers. “Hmm?” He humed. Hopefully loud enough for Suo to hear him.
“Your lover boy is standing outside his shop.”

“Your lover boy is standing outside his shop.” Suo responds from his place at the front entrance at the cash register. The flower shop had glass windows all along the front with different types of bouquets that each worker had created, displayed behind them.
Along with having a clear view of their neighbors.
Sakura stood up slowly, and walked to the doorway to the backroom, and slammed the door shut. Loud enough for Suo to know his answer.
His face was flamed. He knew it was.
He grabbed his cheeks, and shook his head.
“Wow. You’re still letting what Suo said to you, get to you?” Nirei said from his desk in the corner of the backroom. He was their accountant, and marketing expert.
A month ago, Nirei made Sakura be in their commercial. He fumbled his way through it, trying his best to talk about the different types of flowers they have. Blushing the whole time during an outside segment, when he was supposed to go to their neighbors, and give them a flower to show that they are a part of the community.
The last stop was the Tattoo shop across the street, called Shishitoren Skin Art, run by Togame, and Choji. Usually Choji is at the front desk greeting everyone, but that day had to be Togame, and
“AHHH!” Sakura grabbed his hair in frustration. Remembering what Togame did when he got his flower.
Sakura refuses to watch the video.
Nirei said it went viral on TikTok, and Youtube.
Their neighbors have been coming by sharing their foods, and gifts from their business for thanks since they’ve been getting more business as well thanks to being featured.
The shop run by Tachibana gave them each a coupon book, and it’s been the best gift of all.
Nirei leans back in his chair. “You don’t know if Togame really has a crush on you. Suo is probably messing with you. It’s what he lives for.”
“But he kissed me!”
“On the forehead. Like a big brother to a little brother as a show of thanks.” He sighed. “You guys have a good relationship.” He looks at Sakura, still a blushing mess, holding his face in his palms. “Don’t you miss fighting with him?”
Sakura shook his head. “I don’t need him! Tsugeura, and Sugishita still fight me.”
“This is sad.” Nirei mumbles.
He drops his hands from his face and glares at Nirei.  “Oi, shut up! How about you go out there and talk to the customers, you freaking neet! All you do is sit back here and talk shit.”
“Oi, I’m not as pretty as the both of you. I won’t make sales. I have the stats to prove it for the times I’ve been out there.”
Sakura’s face is less red now. He walks back over to his work bench. His back to Nirei. “You are cute. You dumbass.” He hastily compliments, though it sounds like a threat.
Nirei sighs softly, and touches his heart. “Awww, Sakura-san.” He smiles.
____________
“So this is where you've been?”
Sakura jumps in his skin. He’s in the banquet hall next door run by an annoying old lady, who constantly loves to pretend her legs are shit, but Sakura had video proof of her teaching a pilates class.
She has it’s her twin, and Sakura doesn’t have enough evidence to disprove it, so he ends up driving her the short distance to Tachibana’s shop.
The mother of the husband hired them, and he’s setting everything up in the wedding part, and Suo is working in the dining area with Kiryu.
The dining area is closer to the entrance.
He picks up his phone, and the group chat has a picture from Suo of a Cat gif saying ‘Good luck!’
He’s working on the altar, or he was before he was interrupted. His hands have frozen above the Dahlias.
He makes eye contact with Togame, as he walks to the altar. Thankfully the runner isn’t down yet, so Togame’s sandals won’t dirty it.
He would have yelled at him, and fought him if so.
“Haven’t seen you in a while, little monkey.” Togame says. He has his shades on today. His mullet has gotten longer, or maybe Sakura hadn’t noticed since it’s usually in a ponytail. The dragon tattoo of Shinran from Dragonball Z is wrapped around his neck, and the flower tattoos he has on each hand. One hand has blue bells, and the other has orchids.
It was how they started talking.
He told him those were ugly flower tattoos.
And they started brawling in the streets, but neither of them could beat the other.
Eventually Choji called for Togame, but he walked Sakura back to his shop first, and patted his head,
“I had fun, little monkey.” He gave him a toothy smile before walking back to his shop.
Also he always had a monk type of outfit on.
Fucking weirdo.
“I’ve been busy.” He quickly says. His face is heating up.
Togame tilts his head at him. “Why is your face red?”
Sakura hastily smacks his cheeks. “No reason. It’s probably because I’m doing a wedding. You know romance stuff—wait not like you know romance, like you're a single loser like me. Well it’s not like I enjoy being single, but wait don’t—.” His cheeks are burning, and he puts a hand out in front of him to prevent Togame from getting any closer.
Togame walks closer and closer throughout his ramblings, and pats his shoulder, bypassing Sakura’s weak attempt at stopping him. “Dude, calm down.” He crouches down to Sakura level. Sakura was working on the bottom to middle half of the altar.
Sakura is sitting on his bottom.
Togame is crouched slightly above him, smiling down at him.
“Ne, ne, Sakura-chan. I think Togame has a crush on you.”
He hears Suo's voice in his mind.
He gulps.
“Are you calm now?” Togame asks after enough silence follows.
Sakura stiffly nods. He feels like there's no other options for what’s going on. He’s never had someone have a crush on him before.
At the age of 27, he thinks Togame is 29. Togame probably has had a lot of experience with dating, but to Sakura it’s just so scary, but…. he also wants it.
“Can I–.” He stops, clearing his throat. “Have you ever had a crush on someone?” Sakura meekly asks. He shifts his eyes off to the side.
“You’re avoiding me because you have a crush?” He laughs. “What, you don’t want them to see how much of a little monkey you are? Always ready to fight at a moment's notice?” He shakes Sakura with the hold of his shoulder.
Sakura slips out of his grip. “No! You fuck-ass. I’m asking if you like someone?”
Togame tsk. “Fuck no. I don’t have time for that shit.” He grabs his shades, moving them to the top of his head. Then let his elbows rest on his bent knees. “Choji takes up too much of my attention, and I’m taking on an apprentice. I don’t have time for a relationship.” Then he looks pensive for a moment. “Well, I don’t think anyone wants to date me. I used to be a real asshole in my past relationships. So I’d rather not try again.” He shrugs.
Sakura listens to him.
So he has his answer.
Suo was wrong.
He feels—
Hmm, he doesn’t know how to feel.
“Oh.”
“If you were looking for relationship advice, shouldn’t you have asked Umemiya? Hasn’t he been with his husband for like six years.”
Four years ago his old Senpai called him up and asked if he wanted to buy his flower shop. He was looking to sell, so he could invest the money. He wanted to buy a house, and built a closet for his husband, Tsubakino.
He didn’t understand because as far as he knew Tsubakino was pretty wealthy.
Umemiya just laughed at him, and told him, “You’ll understand one day.”
Suo, and Nirei helped pitch in buying it, and they’ve been successful ever since.
Though his senpai will bring them a basket of fruit and vegetables every week in exchange for a bouquet to give to Tsubakino.
“He speaks in riddles. He’d say something like.” He imitates Umemiya’s voice. “Ahh, the leaves will tell you how to speak one day, and you’ll know how to show your true colors of love!”
Togame laughs at him. “He would say something like that.” He smacked his knee to emphasize his amusement. “And Choji would eat it up.”
Sakura laughs too.
He missed this.
They’d usually get something to eat after fighting, or sometimes he called Togame over to the flower shop to sit with him, while he sketches next to Sakura as his work table. He’s seen a few of Togame’s artwork, though he won’t show Sakura every sketch he does when he’s invited over.
His heart is feeling lighter, so he feels he can be honest. “You want to know why I was avoiding you?”
Togame flicks Sakura’s nose. “At least you admit it, you little monkey.”
Sakura tries to kick him, but Togame jumps in time.
Sakura pouts.
Togame reaches out, and rubs his thumb over Sakura’s bottom lip, “Come on, tell me why.” He’s still smiling at him.
Sakura licks his thumb, and Togame leans a bit closer. “Ahh don’t start something, I know you won’t finish.” Togame sultry glares at him, before slowly taking his thumb away. “But I shouldn’t mess with you when you are trying to speak.” He puts the thumb in his own mouth, making eye contact with Sakura.
Sakura instantly combust.
He thinks Togame can see the imaginary fumes coming out of his ears.
“I have work to do!” He loudly reminds, pointing a finger at him. “GO!”
Togame chuckles, “Not until you tell me why you were avoiding me?”
Sakura quickly shakes his head. “NO! You made it weird!”
Togame groans, throwing his head back. “Come on. I’ve missed you. I was going to invite you over to my place. I got a free couples coupon from Tachibana’s place. I was going to use it with Choji, but he’s beefing with her for some reason.” He puts his head back up again. “Then I remembered I know a lost primate that probably hasn’t eaten since he’s a little workaholic.” He teases.
He wants to feel offended, well he is offended, but that’s not the point.
Free food from his favorite place!
“Suo said you have a crush on me, but I know it was a lie to mess with me.” He quickly spits out.
Togame pauses.
Sakura pauses.
Then a snort comes from deep in Togame’s chest. Togame covers his mouth to keep the giggles in.
“Stop laughing at me. I know I’m dumb sometimes. Nirei was right. He said I’m like a little brother to you.”
Togame snorts again. He closes his eyes and looks away from Sakura.
“STOP IT!” He grabs a few flowers next to him on the floor and throws it at him. The altar is mostly done. This extra batch wasn’t going to be used.
Togame lets the flowers land on him.
He turns back to Sakura.
Sakura jolts from the blank stare. “What?”
“For being a dumbass, you’re staying the night at my place.”
Sakura’s eyes widened. “What? Why?”
He dusted a few flowers off his chest. “To make up for lost time.” He decides.
Sakura wants to dispute it but it does make sense.
So he nods.
Togame grins wide at him. “Call me when you’re done here. I’ll bring my motorcycle, and we can drive then since you don’t know where I live. I’ll bring you back in the morning.” Togame stands up.
“Oi, I’ll need clothes. We have to stop at my place first.” He asserts.
Togame waves him off. “Drivers rules. You can wear my clothes, little monkey.”
“To work?!” He screeches, face flamed again. “Suo will be so mean to me.” He whines.
Togame walks back down the aisle. “Not my problem. Text me your order beforehand, and I’ll have our meals waiting for us.”
Sakura watches him walk away, and out the door.
He smirks.
He can’t wait to tell Suo he was wrong!

Day 11/100 days of Productivity
12th-13th April, 2024
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Academia
I watched a video on Concentration terms from a JEE channel to learn a trick. It's at around 50:00.
I watched this video on questions on Concentration terms but its not really NEET related.
I learnt about Frog from quick video lessons on Unacademy X. I also did around 20 questions, not enough though.
Watched about 25 minutes of this lecture on frog until the hyperrealistic amphibian actually came on the screen. I'll have to finish this tomorrow. The lecture is actually really amazing.
Watched 1 hour of physics lecture on Solids.
I did about 56 questions of Biology but couldn't count the correct-incorrect questions.
I did about 40-50 questions from different chapters in biology from the book that I was practicing from but haven't completed any chapters yet.
Watched 41 minutes of a lecture on Molecular Biology.
Watched a few short video lectures of Chemical Equilibrium on Unacademy X.
Non Academia
I started watching Era's tours. Watched 15 minutes of it only. It's 3.5 hours long. I'm gonna watch it either when I'm taking a long break or when I'm done with my exams.
Watched this video on game theory. Very fascinating. How being nice, but not a doormat is the best strategy you can have long term. This video was basically an introduction to game theory for me.

I'm also taking part in 20 days of April breaking the cycle challenge of @thelastneuron so, it's day 1/20 (technically its day 1/18).
Kharbuja season is here.
A lot of things happened on 12th, and the only thing i can share is that it was my periods and i just sat watched tv for the whole evening. But its fine. I'll have to compensate for that today.
I'm gonna try to give better than my best in this new challenge started by my friend. Since, it's about breaking a cycle, I'm gonna go out and break the cycle of mediocrity in my efforts. Lets do this!

studyblr intro (rip T_T)
hi hi, I'm axy! [you can call me tazz, or axy, i'm okay with both :)] I'm entirely new to the studyblr and a little overwhelmed but I'm glad to be here! about me:
he/they
south asian (indian)
pisces
studying for an entrance exam (specifically NEET for medical courses) which includes Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
pretty sure I have ADHD and executive dysfunction
will offer up my soul for a Monster energy drink
really like the color yellow and pink, I think they're neat :]
interests, hobbies and everything in between:
writing (fanfiction, huge procrastinator but trying my best, unhealthy obsession with metaphors)
drawing (amateur but I'm trying to learn,)
reading (mostly fanfiction, but open to every genre and planning to branch out from YA)
music (unapologetic swiftie, but I do listen to tons of other artists)
youtubers (so many, but I usually watch Valkyrae in the background while doing literally anything)
why did I make this blog?
for motivation! I have like 9 months (including July) left until I have to give my entrance exam and that's a pretty long time. making a blog was dynamic and low-key enough to fuel me
to keep track of things! I'm very scatterbrained and absentminded, and despite having like two different facilities to remember stuff, it doesn't hurt to have another!
my best friend @somniphobicfox is a force of nature who also has a studyblog (@a-fox-studies) and I can't say no to her
things to expect:
updates on my progress with studying and random rants about the subject matter
pictures of my study space, the books I'm reading, the music I'm listening to and my step count.
studyblrs that inspire me:
pretty new here, so I only know a few, @a-fox-studies @notetaeker @problematicprocrastinator @ckmstudies @rambles-in-stem @thestudywithmeblog @studydiariesofaru @math-markers
Thank you for reading, and I hope my posts are consistent and able to inspire!! I'm sure I'll have a lovely time in this cozy community :) (I'm claiming the tag #axythings for my posts and my mainblog is @tazlory where I'm chaotic as shit)

Dear diary 🧸,
he passed away... my grandfather. he's no more. the doctor said he died of a cardiac arrest. today in the morning, at 7:45 AM. i still can't fully accept the fact that he won't be here to see my class 12 board results next year. he won't be here to see me appear for neet and become a doctor. he had said before going to the hospital "i have to come back home. i have to see my granddaughter become a doctor." and now that man is no more. i'm never going to be able to wish him on new years again, thank him for his blessings on my birthdays, see him sitting on his favorite chair when i visit their house. my grandma is going to wear a white saree from now on. i'll never see her in red again. i'll never be able to spend time with my grandfather again. the only memories i'll have of him from now on will be the books he gave me, the fountain pens he gave me and the wrist watches he gave me — one of which i got on scoring well in my 10th boards. these are the only things i'll have as a reminder of him. i don't want him to be gone. i want him here. i wanted him back home. just for a few more years. old men live for so long. till 80, 85... why did i have to lose both my grandfathers while they were still in their 70s?? my paternal grandpa died in 2016. he was my best friend, i used to play with him every evening. he was so patient, so good, so kind. he died of hepatitis c. and now him. i was close to him too. very close. he used to pat my hair every time he saw me and tell me that my hair had grown long, even though I'd have had just cut it. the last time i saw him, he was doing well. he was annoying me, telling that my specs look goddamn hilarious. and now i won't see him or hear him anymore. that hospital visit was the last time ever. who knew. if i had known, I'd have touched his feet, taken his blessings for my lifelong journey and thanked him for being there for me forever, since i was so little. since back then. but it's too late now. i can only hope now that may his soul rest in peace where he is right now and may he bless us all.
love,
me
