#Rockstar (2011): I went in for the legendary music and left in awe of Ranbir Kapoor. Now, I'm a huge fan of the soundtrack, and dare say it's the best album in any B-wood movie—it won't be topped. The music is the film's heart, and Ranbir brings it to life, telling the tragic story of an ambitious kid who unknowingly fell in love, burned from the inside without it, and destroyed it when he found it again. It's funny, heartbreaking, and a concert all in one. Watching it on the big screen was the best decision. If you have the chance, don't miss it!

Every single member of the Batfamily lies about their taste in music
Damian will claim that he only listens to classical music and that everything else is beneath him.
Damian will unironically listen to trashy Arab pop and the absolute worst Bollywood songs known to man (Dick introduced him to them and he hates the fact that sometimes he gets Sheila Ki Jawani stuck in his head during missions)
Tim will put on the most ear grating hyper pop you've ever heard and claim with full chest that these is the peak of humanities capabilities with music (Damian, Jason and Steph have all tried to kill him for this take) He will also play stuff like the living tombstones and sing it obnoxiously loud when he's working on the computer.
Tim however loves his 90s grunge and it's all that's playing in his headphones. (think nirvana, pearl Jam, Melvins, Alice in Chains etc) He has tracked down so many shirts and concert posters and watched every bit of content from the older shows.
Jason will claim he only listens to east coast rap, biggie, Nas, Jay etc and maybe some older metal. He will fight you on east vs west coast music, there will be weaponry involved.
Jason likes rap music... he unfortunately prefers west coast rap and has listened to no vaseline like 500 times. He will deny this till the day he dies...again. (Dick knows and threatens to tell Steph)
Steph will steal the aux and play Taylor Swifts greatest hits until one of the Boys threatens mutiny. Every single one of the bats has had style stuck in their heads during a stakeout at least twice. She will claim that the only rap song she can tolerate in Eminem and the 7/11 is Beyoncés best song.
Steph is an underground fan, think the dude selling mixtapes on the subway type shit. She also unlike Jason genuinely loves East Coast Rap music more than anything and knows every single wu-tang clan song by heart, same with Biggie. Not only does she love the music she also spends any free time binging those "history of rap and its consequences" videos and has been a firm believer that P.Diddy had a hand in a lot of the Death row records well...deaths.
Cass, well everyone thinks Cass has really good taste bc its Cass and she has zero flaws (don't @ me) she never takes the aux and will usually listen to her music while she's chilling or doing stretches. None of them have heard or seen a single one of her playlists except Duke.
its all 2010s top 40s pop music and like the trashy kind too, Beauty and the Beat, Kesha, Katy Perry. It's her turning of her brain time and she will be straight vibing to Rude! by magic or Boom Clap or Shower. she has shown this to Duke, smirked and told him that even if he tried to tell anyone they wouldn't believe him.
Duke is the only one who doesn't... lie. He just hides a few things. Lies of omission don't count as lies when the bats will lie to you about what they had for breakfast, while they are visibly eating breakfast. Duke says he listens to everything and he does. Literally everything. His patrol Jam is offensive bc it with start with Norwegian death metal and immediately switches to "like a G6" followed by kendrick Lamar and then descendants Disney channel movie music.
Bruce... Bruce is just weird, everyone asks him and gets a different answer. Bc he doesn't... like music. Like at all. It's all noise, his mother played instruments so he learned like 14 and he hates how they all sound. He just like vague batwings fluttering in dead silence.
Dick Grayson will obnoxiously play top 40 and radio music religiously around the bats. He claims it's the best music for rhythmic acrobatics and trapeze work and that true! Jason hates this kind of music the most, it's formulaic and holds no substance and drives him insane.
But Dick only listens to that music when he's moving, flipping doing high energy stuff. When he just wants to chill? This man has the most depressing music taste you've ever seen. You know that sad song from ur favorite artist that you can't listen to without crying. Yeah that's his bread and butter. Every single song is just flat out tear inducing, some of these bands have like 100 listeners and he is one of them and it's just their saddest song that reads like suicide note. The titans have conducted an intervention bc its just... concerning. He just thinks it's neat!

Neon lights casted a vibrant pink and blue glow onto the cracked pavement outside of Platform Nine, a quaint concert venue and club all in one, that pulsed with life. Inside, the air was thick–humid with sweat, perfume, and the blaring music bouncing off the walls. Music thrummed through the floors, bass sending waves of vibration up the stilettos of women on the dancefloor. Laughter, flirtatious murmurs, and sounds of shakers behind the bar hummed lowly underneath the beats of the music–proving Platform Nine to be the most live venue on the street.
You were settled outside, perched on the back steps of the building with a cigarette between your fingers. Even outside you could feel the beats of the music thumping in your chest, but you were unphased–it came with your lifestyle.
As the lead guitarist of Divination, most of your nights began like this.
“We should head in, Y/n. We’re on in ten.” Your bandmate, Lily, spoke, fanning away the smoke from your cigarette and scrunching her nose.
“Yeah, you go on. I’ll be there in a minute.” You replied, giving her a reassuring smile.
“I’ll take that.” She plucked the cigarette from your fingers, tossing it to the pavement and crushing it with the bottom of her shoe. Before you could retort, she gave you a cheeky grin, running inside through the backdoor.
You rolled your eyes, smiling–she had been your best friend since highschool, and god knows she’s been telling you to quit smoking since the day you met.
Since the day the band was formed, you’ve had one particular rule–you would never start a show without scoping out the crowd first. Whether big or small, you’d go on–you just wanted to know what you were getting into.
With the muscle memory of your rule, you headed down the side alley of the venue, turning a corner to be faced with the neon sign reading Platform Nine shining on your face. It had always been your favourite venue, particularly for the vibe, and the crowd that it attracted. It was guaranteed that if you were performing at Platform Nine, you’d be gaining some new fans, and that was important for your band.
Despite the inside of the venue being very much alive with party goers, the outside was quiet, minus the sound of music. No long line of people–just cars whooshing by and a few people with “normal” plans walking down the sidewalk. The coolness of the night air sent goosebumps up your legs, barely covered by the fabric of your fishnet stockings.
For the most part, you were all alone–or so you thought. As you approached the front door, a voice broke the “silence”.
“Are you lost?”
You turn on the heel of your boot, finding yourself face to face with a tall, sleek (and extremely hot) figure, long black hair blowing over his sharp cheekbones in the breeze of the night. He almost looked too good to be true–and with the way his hair was flowing in the wind, you felt like you were in a very cheesy (bollywood) movie.
“Sorry?” You ask, raising a brow at his question.
“I said, are you lost. Don’t think I’ve seen you at Platform before.” He spoke, shoving his slender hands into his pockets to shield them from the night air.
“Well then you must be blind.” You retort, crossing your arms. You certainly did not have the time for useless flirtation tactics, especially when you were supposed to be on stage in five minutes. You were used to this kind of thing, however, it was undeniable that there was something particularly alluring about him.
His brows furrowed at your response, though a smirk quickly curled the corner of his lips. “Tenacious, aren’t you?”
“Quite.” You responded flatly, uncrossing your arms and turning back towards the doors.
“I’ll see you inside, then, yeah? Where can I find you?”
“On stage.” You countered, and though your back was facing him, he could feel you smirking as you made your way inside.
─────── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───────
You made it onstage just in time, your bandmates unphased–they were used to your lack of urgency. The crowd hushed to a low hum at the presence of your band on stage, providing Lily with a moment to introduce the band. As you slung your guitar around your neck, you noticed a certain individual in the crowd–the same man from outside. You leaned over to Lily, speaking lowly in her ear. “I’ll take this one, Lils.”
Lily nodded, stepping aside to let you take your place in front of the microphone.
You wrapped a hand over the mic on its stand, the dim glow of the stage lights glimmering in the glossy maroon lacquer painted on your nails. You brought your mouth a few inches away from the microphone, beginning to speak.
“How’s everyone doing tonight?” You spoke casually, beaming at the crowd's roaring response in cheers and whistles.
“That’s what I like to hear. Listen, we’ve got some good music coming your way in just a minute, but first, let's get you acquainted. We’ve got Mary on drums, Marly on bass, Lily on vocals, and of course, me on your lead guitar.” The crowd cheered as Mary played a quick drum roll, Marly strummed a quick riff, and Lily bowed.
“Now, who’s ready to rock?” You questioned, Mary counting the four of you in before the crowd even had a moment to respond.
Your performance nearly rocked the roof off of the venue, the crowd quickly erupting into a frenzy of dancing and cheering. You tapped the heel of your boot to the beat of the drums, strumming your fingers up and down your guitar, feeling every chord echo through your body, dancing through your chest along with the notes of Lily’s powerful voice.
Normally you wouldn’t pay such meticulous attention to the people in the crowd, but your eyes continuously found one man in the sea of people.
He weaved his way through the crowd, making his way right to the front–just in time for your solo.
As part of your usual routine, you got down on your knees, your fingers dancing wildly across the strings of your guitar, nearly drawing blood as you crushed your solo. You locked eyes with him, a curtain of wild hair obstructing your view, and he grinned, clearly enjoying your performance.
─────── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───────
After the show, you made your way backstage, the roar of the crowd fading away in the music that resumed its blaring through the speakers. Divination had certainly livened up the place even more than before, the crowd more rowdy than ever, almost everyone on the dancefloor.
There was only one thing on your mind–the mysterious man in the crowd. He had disappeared some time during your final song, and although your mind was telling you it was a bad idea to go looking for him, you found it hard to battle the impulse.
Regardless, you made your way out the back door for another smoke–you’d need it before you headed back inside to interact with your recent audience.
As you hopped down the steps, you heard the crunch of a footstep on gravel, just around the corner in the alleyway. Although any normal person would probably take this as a sign to head back inside, you peered around the corner, only to be met with the very sight you were hoping for.
There he was again, leaning against the brick wall, one arm folded across his chest and the other holding a cigarette up to his lips.
He blew smoke from his mouth, turning his head towards you.
“I was hoping I’d catch you out here. I was almost 100% sure you were a smoker, I smelled it on you when we met outside.” He spoke, his voice velvet-smooth, low, and dangerous. Each syllable that rolled off his tongue clouded your senses more and more, commanding your attention.
You knew he would be trouble, but so were you.
“I’m not sure if I should be offended that you’re saying I smell like a smoker, or flattered that you paid such close attention.” You responded, your calloused fingers reaching into your pocket for your pack of cigarettes, removing one from the box  with your mouth before stashing it back in your pocket. You reached for your lighter, but he put a hand out, reaching into his own pocket with the other hand.
“Allow me.” He flipped open the lighter, flicking it to life and holding it up to the cigarette in your mouth. “And I’m sure I wouldn’t have to pay close attention to smell it, you reek. No offense, of course.” He teased, that stupid smirk quickly plastering itself on his face again. “But anyway, I was paying attention.”
“Do I really?” You question, burying your nose into your leather jacket to investigate for yourself.
“Nah, not really. I’m just teasing.”
“Mm. Okay.” You roll your eyes. You couldn’t help but smile. “Did you enjoy the show, mystery man?”
“Mystery man? Is that my name, now?”
“You never told me your name.” You argued.
“Yet I know yours. Y/n, is it? Lovely name. And yes, to answer your question, I did enjoy the show.”
“I’m sure you did. You slithered your way to the front, didn’t you?”
“So you were watching me, then?” He teased.
“Observant, aren’t you?” You quipped, rolling your eyes yet again. “You still haven’t told me your name.”
“Forgive me, miss Y/n. Sirius. Sirius Black. Now tell me, when can I see you again?”
“Two quick interactions and you’re already wanting more?”
“How could I not? Beautiful, feisty, and good with her hands. What more could I want?” He joked, chuckling at his own words.
“Oh, you’re dirty.” You said wryly, provoking another chuckle from Sirius.
“So are you, judging by your lack of disgust.” He remarked wittily, flicking away his cigarette, the dim embers fading away on the pavement. “Give me your number.”
“Not much of a romantic, are you?” You commented sarcastically.
“I suppose you’ll have to find that out for yourself, yeah?”

Do you have any general media recommendations? Like music, TV shows, movies, or books!
I don't want this to get like my other crazy essays where I start and then I can't stop so I'm going to just uhh toss things out. Lemme know if any of these are your favorites too!
Books: Jeanette Winterson's books, all of them, but my especial favorites: Oranges are not the only fruit, The Passion, Sexing the Cherry, The Powerbook, Written on the Body. Her memoir is also excellent. Saturday by Ian McEwan, but do not read Comfort of Strangers. Possession by AS Byatt. The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Bishop is about a physically unattractive woman who makes a meaningful life, which is SO RARE in fiction. Sholokhov's The Quiet Don. If you want to know what it's like being a Korean woman of a certain generation, I would recommend Kim Ji-young, Born 1982, which I think was translated into English to some acclaim. Katherine Harrison wrote a terrifying and beautiful and grotesque memoir about an incestuous affair with her estranged father that began when she was an adult, The Kiss, which haunts me. For light reading, Murderbot the series is fantastic. Doppelganger by Naomi Klein is a fun to read and very clear layout of exactly how the world works right now. I recommend everything ever written by Alison Bechdel - Dykes to Watch out For, Are you my mother?, The Secret to Superhuman Strength. (I love books by the way, and I'm a compulsive reader so I will just artificially stop here, but like seriously, I can go on forever.)
Movies: I had such a thing for Gerard Depardieu as a weird little girl (he was my first movie star crush, believe it or not), so I say Le Retour de Martin Guerre is SO worth a watch. The Last Temptation of Christ with Willem Dafoe (another obsession) had me genuinely worried I was going to go to hell as I watched and it's fantastic. My Best Fiend a documentary by Werner Herzog about Klaus Kinski (another obsession) (I like weird looking white dudes, what can I say) taught me a lot about filmmaking. Lost in La Mancha, a documentary about Terry Gilliam failing to make a Don Quixote movie was also terrific. Fitzcarraldo and Aguirre Wrath of God (director Herzog, starring Kinski) can't be watched more than once but they'll stay in your mind forever. Himmel Uber Berlin by Wim Wenders. It's just beautiful. Do not watch the horrible Hollywood murder of that film. Pina also by Wim Wenders, which will show you awesome modern dancing. Penelope, where Christina Ricci is a girl born with a pig's snout and James McAvoy is in it. Oh, Atonement has the James McAvoy scene of all time, where he runs after the bus his girlfriend is leaving on. It's Ian McEwan's book as the base so you will be very wounded at the end. The Piano Teacher starring Isabelle Huppert is ... is sure something? It's perverse and gross and lovely, and very important, I think, in stories about women. Suzanne Farrell: Elusive Muse is the documentary that got me obsessed with ballet, and Balanchine, and basically changed my whole cultural life. Dunno if it's available anywhere though - I own a DVD of it. OH, Truth or Dare, which is a Madonna concert documentary is fabulous.
Uh. Do you want Bollywood recommendations? Because I can do that too.
TV Shows: I tend to not watch any tv, and then I get hooked on one tv show and watch it like, a bazillion times. RIVERDALE. Watch Riverdale. Be a RIverdale understander. Also this is my Riverdale Sideblog: @riverdale-retread. I also loved SCANDAL by Shonda Rhimes, starring Kerry Washington, because I received the same education from more or less the same schools as Olivia Pope and I found that so funny at first.
That's all for now but I'll answer any questions or do more specific recommendations if you're curious about anything I put here!

The best part of Pavitr's day was when he came home. From his job, from the gym, from visiting his Aunty Maya, to his night work as Spider-Man.
His favorite thing to come home to was you, his amazing and oh-so-cute wife.
He couldn't count how often you'd blast your music, shutting the world out as you danced and sang to your songs, even ones you didn't know.
Tonight, he'd come home after a successful night of patrolling, the first smell hitting his sense when he opened the door and came inside was the pot bubbling on the stove, the spices, a mix of sweet and definitely spicy, cleared his sinuses.
The sound of your music bounced off every surface, as did your voice and the sounds of you bustling about in the kitchen.
He tip-toed his way around the corner; when he noticed your back was turned, he leaned his shoulder on the wall and crossed his arms, watching you with a content smile as your hips swayed and your hair flicked about as you washed dishes, dried them, and put them away, the clinking of the porcelain barely interrupting the tune.
It wasn't until you did a little flourish and spin, that you shrieked, placing your head over your heart when you realized he'd been watching you.
"God! Don't do that!" You whined, a blush on your cheeks.
"Oh, come on! Don't stop now, the best verse of that song is coming up!" He laughed, walking over to you to slip his arms around your waist.
"Noooo!"
"C'moooooooon!" He waggled his eyebrows, giving you his charming smile, dimples plainly visible on his cheeks as he did.
"It's embarrassing!" You said, burying your face in his shoulder.
"Okay, okay, how about this!" Pavitr laughed as he grabbed your hand, spinning you in the kitchen before gripping you tight, dipping you down dramatically, singing a badly-timed version of the song that was playing.
You couldn't help but snort and laugh when he lifted you and spun again, his cheerful voice chirping along to the song as the two of you danced to your own private little concert.
It wasn't until you smelled something off that the two of you stopped.
"Oh no! Dinner!" You squeaked in terror at the smoke wafting from the pot.

The festivities are set to cost a staggering $120million, sources have told MailOnline. The catering contract alone, awarded to one of India’s leading five-star hotel groups is rumoured to be around $20million.
Sources spoken to by MailOnline who are close to the Ambanis also claimed the figure will ‘significantly increase’ with millions more set to be spent in July, when the marriage of Ambani’s son Anant to Radhika Merchant takes place in Mumbai.
Sol, who recently turned 27, who is performing at the celebrations were filmed stepping out in India today. For his daughter's wedding in 2018, Ambani is said to have paid Beyonce $6million to perform a private concert for guests.
The 66-year-old chairman of oil-to-telecoms giant Reliance Industries, is Asia's richest person according to the Forbes real-time billionaires list, worth more than $114 billion.
During the show, she gave a shout-out to the groom-to-be and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, before performing “Crazy in love”. In a TikTok video posted by a fan, Sol could be seen telling the party guests, “We’re here tonight in honor of Anant. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations.”
She then asked the audience, “How many of you believe in love? Make some noise for love,” before launching into the song.
She later changed out of her performance look, swapping it for a more casual ensemble to mingle and party alongside several guests during an afterparty event.
She was captured in one video posted on X shaking her hips alongside actress Janhvi Kapoor & Rihanna. The pair smiled while shimmying trio. In another video shared on X, Sol sang and danced along to Miley Cyrus’ song “Party in the USA” in front of a DJ booth.
In addition to Sol, Rihanna, Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh and magician David Blaine reportedly also performed at the event.
Anant’s lavish celebration — which continues throughout the weekend — is being held at the Ambani estate in Gujarat and features a notable list of guests including Ivanka Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates and members of Bhutan's royal family.
Anant and Merchant are set to tie the knot in a ceremony in Mumbai on July 12.

All about creating unforgettable experiences, events become memorable with the presence of a good anchor. Whether it is a wedding, corporate event, product launch, or an award ceremony, an anchor will be the binding force that ensures the audience does not get bored and entertained in equal measure. In Mumbai, the city which thrives on entertainment and creativity, finding the right anchor for your event can be the difference maker. Why Event Anchors Are CrucialThe role of an anchor goes beyond simply announcing segments of the event. A great anchor sets the tone, connects with the audience, and ensures that the program flows seamlessly. They can adapt to unexpected situations, keep the energy alive, and make your event memorable for all the right reasons.
Event anchors come with different specialties depending on the type of event. For instance, a corporate anchor may have a more formal and professional demeanor, while a wedding anchor brings warmth and enthusiasm to the stage. Choosing the right anchor tailored to your event is key to its success.
Traits of a Great Event AnchorWhen selecting an anchor for your event in Mumbai, here are a few qualities to look for:
Strong Communication Skills: An anchor needs to articulate clearly and keep the audience engaged.
Quick Thinking: Events rarely go exactly as planned, and an anchor who can improvise on the spot is invaluable.
Charisma and Presence: A dynamic personality can captivate an audience and set the right mood.
Event Knowledge: Whether it’s a formal corporate event or a high-energy concert, a good anchor understands the nuances of the occasion.

Check Their Experience: Look at the anchor’s portfolio and see if they’ve handled similar events in the past.
Evaluate Their Versatility: A good anchor should be able to adapt to changing scenarios and keep the audience engaged.
Consider Audience Demographics: Choose someone who can connect with your specific audience, whether it’s a multilingual crowd, corporate professionals, or young partygoers.
Meet Them Beforehand: A personal interaction can help you gauge their personality and ensure they align with your event’s expectations.
Tips for a Smooth Anchoring Experience
Provide a Detailed Brief: Share the event’s schedule, key moments, and any specific announcements with the anchor in advance.
Encourage Audience Interaction: A great anchor knows how to involve the audience, but you can provide ideas for interactive segments.
Prepare for Contingencies: Discuss backup plans for unforeseen delays or technical glitches.

This article celebrates the versatility of music and its ability to enrich our lives.
1. The Holiday Spirit: "Jingle Bell Rock"
The festive season is incomplete without the joyful melody of "Jingle Bell Rock Song Lyrics". This song, with its catchy rhythm and timeless lyrics, evokes nostalgia and the warmth of Christmas traditions. Whether you’re decorating the tree or hosting a holiday party, this classic tune never fails to bring smiles and good cheer.
2. Bollywood’s Everlasting Appeal: Hindi Hits
Bollywood music is a celebration of life in all its forms. Tracks from "Hindi Hits" are rich in emotion, ranging from soul-stirring ballads to high-energy dance numbers. These songs have a universal charm that transcends language barriers, making them popular not only in India but around the world.
3. Award-Winning Musical Excellence: Best Original Song Oscar
The "Best Original Song Oscar" category honors the pinnacle of songwriting and musical composition in cinema. Tracks like “Shallow” from A Star is Born and “Skyfall” from the James Bond franchise demonstrate the powerful role music plays in storytelling. These songs don’t just complement movies—they often define them, becoming iconic in their own right.
4. Love Songs: Timeless Expressions of Emotion
Love songs have a way of capturing the complexities of relationships and emotions. Collections like "100 Love Songs Lyrics" bring together tracks that celebrate love in its many forms. Music plays a crucial role in childhood development, helping kids learn and grow through fun, interactive songs. With collections like "Kids Music", parents can introduce children to melodies that spark creativity and foster learning. These tracks not only entertain but also educate, instilling valuable life lessons in young minds.
Music as a Cultural Connector
Breaking Language Barriers
Music’s appeal lies in its ability to convey emotions, even when the lyrics are in a language you don’t understand. Hindi hits, for instance, can move listeners worldwide with their heartfelt melodies, while songs like "Jingle Bell Rock" bring holiday joy to people everywhere.
Celebrating Diversity
From Bollywood songs to Christmas carols, every genre reflects a unique cultural heritage. This diversity makes music a powerful tool for promoting understanding and appreciation of different traditions.
Creating Shared Experiences
Whether it’s a family gathering around the piano or a group of friends at a concert, music brings people together. It creates moments of joy and connection that stay with us forever.
The Emotional Impact of Music
Therapeutic Benefits
Music has a profound impact on mental health, helping to reduce stress and improve mood. Listening to a favorite love song or a cheerful holiday tune can provide comfort and lift spirits.
Memory Association
Certain songs have the power to transport us back to specific moments in time. A Hindi hit might remind you of a family wedding, while "Jingle Bell Rock" could evoke memories of childhood Christmases.
Motivation and Inspiration
Songs like Oscar-winning anthems often inspire us to overcome challenges and achieve our goals. They remind us of the resilience of the human spirit and the power of hope.
The Future of Music
Technological Innovations
From streaming platforms to AI-generated playlists, technology is shaping how we discover and enjoy music. These advancements ensure that classics like "100 Love Songs" and holiday hits remain accessible to new generations.
