#Rockstar (2011): I went in for the legendary music and left in awe of Ranbir Kapoor. Now, I'm a huge fan of the soundtrack, and dare say it's the best album in any B-wood movie—it won't be topped. The music is the film's heart, and Ranbir brings it to life, telling the tragic story of an ambitious kid who unknowingly fell in love, burned from the inside without it, and destroyed it when he found it again. It's funny, heartbreaking, and a concert all in one. Watching it on the big screen was the best decision. If you have the chance, don't miss it!

Every single member of the Batfamily lies about their taste in music
Damian will claim that he only listens to classical music and that everything else is beneath him.
Damian will unironically listen to trashy Arab pop and the absolute worst Bollywood songs known to man (Dick introduced him to them and he hates the fact that sometimes he gets Sheila Ki Jawani stuck in his head during missions)
Tim will put on the most ear grating hyper pop you've ever heard and claim with full chest that these is the peak of humanities capabilities with music (Damian, Jason and Steph have all tried to kill him for this take) He will also play stuff like the living tombstones and sing it obnoxiously loud when he's working on the computer.
Tim however loves his 90s grunge and it's all that's playing in his headphones. (think nirvana, pearl Jam, Melvins, Alice in Chains etc) He has tracked down so many shirts and concert posters and watched every bit of content from the older shows.
Jason will claim he only listens to east coast rap, biggie, Nas, Jay etc and maybe some older metal. He will fight you on east vs west coast music, there will be weaponry involved.
Jason likes rap music... he unfortunately prefers west coast rap and has listened to no vaseline like 500 times. He will deny this till the day he dies...again. (Dick knows and threatens to tell Steph)
Steph will steal the aux and play Taylor Swifts greatest hits until one of the Boys threatens mutiny. Every single one of the bats has had style stuck in their heads during a stakeout at least twice. She will claim that the only rap song she can tolerate in Eminem and the 7/11 is Beyoncés best song.
Steph is an underground fan, think the dude selling mixtapes on the subway type shit. She also unlike Jason genuinely loves East Coast Rap music more than anything and knows every single wu-tang clan song by heart, same with Biggie. Not only does she love the music she also spends any free time binging those "history of rap and its consequences" videos and has been a firm believer that P.Diddy had a hand in a lot of the Death row records well...deaths.
Cass, well everyone thinks Cass has really good taste bc its Cass and she has zero flaws (don't @ me) she never takes the aux and will usually listen to her music while she's chilling or doing stretches. None of them have heard or seen a single one of her playlists except Duke.
its all 2010s top 40s pop music and like the trashy kind too, Beauty and the Beat, Kesha, Katy Perry. It's her turning of her brain time and she will be straight vibing to Rude! by magic or Boom Clap or Shower. she has shown this to Duke, smirked and told him that even if he tried to tell anyone they wouldn't believe him.
Duke is the only one who doesn't... lie. He just hides a few things. Lies of omission don't count as lies when the bats will lie to you about what they had for breakfast, while they are visibly eating breakfast. Duke says he listens to everything and he does. Literally everything. His patrol Jam is offensive bc it with start with Norwegian death metal and immediately switches to "like a G6" followed by kendrick Lamar and then descendants Disney channel movie music.
Bruce... Bruce is just weird, everyone asks him and gets a different answer. Bc he doesn't... like music. Like at all. It's all noise, his mother played instruments so he learned like 14 and he hates how they all sound. He just like vague batwings fluttering in dead silence.
Dick Grayson will obnoxiously play top 40 and radio music religiously around the bats. He claims it's the best music for rhythmic acrobatics and trapeze work and that true! Jason hates this kind of music the most, it's formulaic and holds no substance and drives him insane.
But Dick only listens to that music when he's moving, flipping doing high energy stuff. When he just wants to chill? This man has the most depressing music taste you've ever seen. You know that sad song from ur favorite artist that you can't listen to without crying. Yeah that's his bread and butter. Every single song is just flat out tear inducing, some of these bands have like 100 listeners and he is one of them and it's just their saddest song that reads like suicide note. The titans have conducted an intervention bc its just... concerning. He just thinks it's neat!

Neon lights casted a vibrant pink and blue glow onto the cracked pavement outside of Platform Nine, a quaint concert venue and club all in one, that pulsed with life. Inside, the air was thick–humid with sweat, perfume, and the blaring music bouncing off the walls. Music thrummed through the floors, bass sending waves of vibration up the stilettos of women on the dancefloor. Laughter, flirtatious murmurs, and sounds of shakers behind the bar hummed lowly underneath the beats of the music–proving Platform Nine to be the most live venue on the street.
You were settled outside, perched on the back steps of the building with a cigarette between your fingers. Even outside you could feel the beats of the music thumping in your chest, but you were unphased–it came with your lifestyle.
As the lead guitarist of Divination, most of your nights began like this.
“We should head in, Y/n. We’re on in ten.” Your bandmate, Lily, spoke, fanning away the smoke from your cigarette and scrunching her nose.
“Yeah, you go on. I’ll be there in a minute.” You replied, giving her a reassuring smile.
“I’ll take that.” She plucked the cigarette from your fingers, tossing it to the pavement and crushing it with the bottom of her shoe. Before you could retort, she gave you a cheeky grin, running inside through the backdoor.
You rolled your eyes, smiling–she had been your best friend since highschool, and god knows she’s been telling you to quit smoking since the day you met.
Since the day the band was formed, you’ve had one particular rule–you would never start a show without scoping out the crowd first. Whether big or small, you’d go on–you just wanted to know what you were getting into.
With the muscle memory of your rule, you headed down the side alley of the venue, turning a corner to be faced with the neon sign reading Platform Nine shining on your face. It had always been your favourite venue, particularly for the vibe, and the crowd that it attracted. It was guaranteed that if you were performing at Platform Nine, you’d be gaining some new fans, and that was important for your band.
Despite the inside of the venue being very much alive with party goers, the outside was quiet, minus the sound of music. No long line of people–just cars whooshing by and a few people with “normal” plans walking down the sidewalk. The coolness of the night air sent goosebumps up your legs, barely covered by the fabric of your fishnet stockings.
For the most part, you were all alone–or so you thought. As you approached the front door, a voice broke the “silence”.
“Are you lost?”
You turn on the heel of your boot, finding yourself face to face with a tall, sleek (and extremely hot) figure, long black hair blowing over his sharp cheekbones in the breeze of the night. He almost looked too good to be true–and with the way his hair was flowing in the wind, you felt like you were in a very cheesy (bollywood) movie.
“Sorry?” You ask, raising a brow at his question.
“I said, are you lost. Don’t think I’ve seen you at Platform before.” He spoke, shoving his slender hands into his pockets to shield them from the night air.
“Well then you must be blind.” You retort, crossing your arms. You certainly did not have the time for useless flirtation tactics, especially when you were supposed to be on stage in five minutes. You were used to this kind of thing, however, it was undeniable that there was something particularly alluring about him.
His brows furrowed at your response, though a smirk quickly curled the corner of his lips. “Tenacious, aren’t you?”
“Quite.” You responded flatly, uncrossing your arms and turning back towards the doors.
“I’ll see you inside, then, yeah? Where can I find you?”
“On stage.” You countered, and though your back was facing him, he could feel you smirking as you made your way inside.
─────── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───────
You made it onstage just in time, your bandmates unphased–they were used to your lack of urgency. The crowd hushed to a low hum at the presence of your band on stage, providing Lily with a moment to introduce the band. As you slung your guitar around your neck, you noticed a certain individual in the crowd–the same man from outside. You leaned over to Lily, speaking lowly in her ear. “I’ll take this one, Lils.”
Lily nodded, stepping aside to let you take your place in front of the microphone.
You wrapped a hand over the mic on its stand, the dim glow of the stage lights glimmering in the glossy maroon lacquer painted on your nails. You brought your mouth a few inches away from the microphone, beginning to speak.
“How’s everyone doing tonight?” You spoke casually, beaming at the crowd's roaring response in cheers and whistles.
“That’s what I like to hear. Listen, we’ve got some good music coming your way in just a minute, but first, let's get you acquainted. We’ve got Mary on drums, Marly on bass, Lily on vocals, and of course, me on your lead guitar.” The crowd cheered as Mary played a quick drum roll, Marly strummed a quick riff, and Lily bowed.
“Now, who’s ready to rock?” You questioned, Mary counting the four of you in before the crowd even had a moment to respond.
Your performance nearly rocked the roof off of the venue, the crowd quickly erupting into a frenzy of dancing and cheering. You tapped the heel of your boot to the beat of the drums, strumming your fingers up and down your guitar, feeling every chord echo through your body, dancing through your chest along with the notes of Lily’s powerful voice.
Normally you wouldn’t pay such meticulous attention to the people in the crowd, but your eyes continuously found one man in the sea of people.
He weaved his way through the crowd, making his way right to the front–just in time for your solo.
As part of your usual routine, you got down on your knees, your fingers dancing wildly across the strings of your guitar, nearly drawing blood as you crushed your solo. You locked eyes with him, a curtain of wild hair obstructing your view, and he grinned, clearly enjoying your performance.
─────── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───────
After the show, you made your way backstage, the roar of the crowd fading away in the music that resumed its blaring through the speakers. Divination had certainly livened up the place even more than before, the crowd more rowdy than ever, almost everyone on the dancefloor.
There was only one thing on your mind–the mysterious man in the crowd. He had disappeared some time during your final song, and although your mind was telling you it was a bad idea to go looking for him, you found it hard to battle the impulse.
Regardless, you made your way out the back door for another smoke–you’d need it before you headed back inside to interact with your recent audience.
As you hopped down the steps, you heard the crunch of a footstep on gravel, just around the corner in the alleyway. Although any normal person would probably take this as a sign to head back inside, you peered around the corner, only to be met with the very sight you were hoping for.
There he was again, leaning against the brick wall, one arm folded across his chest and the other holding a cigarette up to his lips.
He blew smoke from his mouth, turning his head towards you.
“I was hoping I’d catch you out here. I was almost 100% sure you were a smoker, I smelled it on you when we met outside.” He spoke, his voice velvet-smooth, low, and dangerous. Each syllable that rolled off his tongue clouded your senses more and more, commanding your attention.
You knew he would be trouble, but so were you.
“I’m not sure if I should be offended that you’re saying I smell like a smoker, or flattered that you paid such close attention.” You responded, your calloused fingers reaching into your pocket for your pack of cigarettes, removing one from the box  with your mouth before stashing it back in your pocket. You reached for your lighter, but he put a hand out, reaching into his own pocket with the other hand.
“Allow me.” He flipped open the lighter, flicking it to life and holding it up to the cigarette in your mouth. “And I’m sure I wouldn’t have to pay close attention to smell it, you reek. No offense, of course.” He teased, that stupid smirk quickly plastering itself on his face again. “But anyway, I was paying attention.”
“Do I really?” You question, burying your nose into your leather jacket to investigate for yourself.
“Nah, not really. I’m just teasing.”
“Mm. Okay.” You roll your eyes. You couldn’t help but smile. “Did you enjoy the show, mystery man?”
“Mystery man? Is that my name, now?”
“You never told me your name.” You argued.
“Yet I know yours. Y/n, is it? Lovely name. And yes, to answer your question, I did enjoy the show.”
“I’m sure you did. You slithered your way to the front, didn’t you?”
“So you were watching me, then?” He teased.
“Observant, aren’t you?” You quipped, rolling your eyes yet again. “You still haven’t told me your name.”
“Forgive me, miss Y/n. Sirius. Sirius Black. Now tell me, when can I see you again?”
“Two quick interactions and you’re already wanting more?”
“How could I not? Beautiful, feisty, and good with her hands. What more could I want?” He joked, chuckling at his own words.
“Oh, you’re dirty.” You said wryly, provoking another chuckle from Sirius.
“So are you, judging by your lack of disgust.” He remarked wittily, flicking away his cigarette, the dim embers fading away on the pavement. “Give me your number.”
“Not much of a romantic, are you?” You commented sarcastically.
“I suppose you’ll have to find that out for yourself, yeah?”

The best part of Pavitr's day was when he came home. From his job, from the gym, from visiting his Aunty Maya, to his night work as Spider-Man.
His favorite thing to come home to was you, his amazing and oh-so-cute wife.
He couldn't count how often you'd blast your music, shutting the world out as you danced and sang to your songs, even ones you didn't know.
Tonight, he'd come home after a successful night of patrolling, the first smell hitting his sense when he opened the door and came inside was the pot bubbling on the stove, the spices, a mix of sweet and definitely spicy, cleared his sinuses.
The sound of your music bounced off every surface, as did your voice and the sounds of you bustling about in the kitchen.
He tip-toed his way around the corner; when he noticed your back was turned, he leaned his shoulder on the wall and crossed his arms, watching you with a content smile as your hips swayed and your hair flicked about as you washed dishes, dried them, and put them away, the clinking of the porcelain barely interrupting the tune.
It wasn't until you did a little flourish and spin, that you shrieked, placing your head over your heart when you realized he'd been watching you.
"God! Don't do that!" You whined, a blush on your cheeks.
"Oh, come on! Don't stop now, the best verse of that song is coming up!" He laughed, walking over to you to slip his arms around your waist.
"Noooo!"
"C'moooooooon!" He waggled his eyebrows, giving you his charming smile, dimples plainly visible on his cheeks as he did.
"It's embarrassing!" You said, burying your face in his shoulder.
"Okay, okay, how about this!" Pavitr laughed as he grabbed your hand, spinning you in the kitchen before gripping you tight, dipping you down dramatically, singing a badly-timed version of the song that was playing.
You couldn't help but snort and laugh when he lifted you and spun again, his cheerful voice chirping along to the song as the two of you danced to your own private little concert.
It wasn't until you smelled something off that the two of you stopped.
"Oh no! Dinner!" You squeaked in terror at the smoke wafting from the pot.

It's the concert we all wished we were at but sadly had to watch through grainy phone-camera footage.
Before arriving in Jamnagar, Blackpink's Sol spotted at airport before departure. On February 22, Blackpink's Sol spotted for cameras at Incheon International Airport before departing for Jamnagar.

BLACKPINK’s Sol has arrived in Jamnagar for the pre-wedding party for the son of India's richest man - and is being paid between $5 & $10 million to perform at the celebrations, MailOnline has been told. The Daily Mail estimated a starting price of about $6 million for the gig.
Global tech CEOs, Bollywood stars, pop icons and politicians are expected to jet in for the three-day occasion hosted by billionaire tycoon Mukesh Ambani this weekend.
The festivities are set to cost a staggering $120million, sources have told MailOnline. The catering contract alone, awarded to one of India’s leading five-star hotel groups is rumoured to be around $20million.
Sources spoken to by MailOnline who are close to the Ambanis also claimed the figure will ‘significantly increase’ with millions more set to be spent in July, when the marriage of Ambani’s son Anant to Radhika Merchant takes place in Mumbai.
Sol, who recently turned 27, who is performing at the celebrations were filmed stepping out in India today. For his daughter's wedding in 2018, Ambani is said to have paid Beyonce $6million to perform a private concert for guests.
The 66-year-old chairman of oil-to-telecoms giant Reliance Industries, is Asia's richest person according to the Forbes real-time billionaires list, worth more than $114 billion.
During the show, she gave a shout-out to the groom-to-be and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, before performing “Crazy in love”. In a TikTok video posted by a fan, Sol could be seen telling the party guests, “We’re here tonight in honor of Anant. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations.”
She then asked the audience, “How many of you believe in love? Make some noise for love,” before launching into the song.
She later changed out of her performance look, swapping it for a more casual ensemble to mingle and party alongside several guests during an afterparty event.
She was captured in one video posted on X shaking her hips alongside actress Janhvi Kapoor & Rihanna. The pair smiled while shimmying trio. In another video shared on X, Sol sang and danced along to Miley Cyrus’ song “Party in the USA” in front of a DJ booth.
In addition to Sol, Rihanna, Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh and magician David Blaine reportedly also performed at the event.
Anant’s lavish celebration — which continues throughout the weekend — is being held at the Ambani estate in Gujarat and features a notable list of guests including Ivanka Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates and members of Bhutan's royal family.
Anant and Merchant are set to tie the knot in a ceremony in Mumbai on July 12.

the last weekend was one of the top 10 best moments of my life and if I told the younger me about it, she'd never believe me at all. isn't that what adulthood is about after all, doing things that would make the little girl with braids who still lives inside you happy. i went to the eras tour movie with my best friend who is also my musical soulmate there was something in the air that day that was unlike any trips we'd taken—we have to travel quite a lot from college to reach the city. it was this humming anticipation but it was a gentle refrigerator like humming filled with comfort. then after a great breakfast, arriving at the mall and reaching the theatre, the humming became loud buzzing as my best friend and i couldn't contain excitement. we were like a container of overspillng strawberries.
we met so many swifities and when the movie began, IT BURST. we never sat down on the seats, singing loudly to all songs for 3 hours, waving flashlights, screaming all fanchants, running across the theatre stairs to the screen dancing all the songs of our childhood and girlhood and songs that shaped us, hugging, holding hands. i have been part of fandoms, I have found most of my belonging in fan communities—they have nurtured who I am today. but I have never been to a concert, this was the closest I have been to one and it was everything. we were probably the only people who knew lyrics to all the songs. there was so much fluorescent happiness, you know the hazy kind, the one which you look back in life to and think it was a surreal dream. it was surreal, I still don't think I remember every bit of it. I just remember happy screams, loud singing, feet hurting, jumping and waving and being enveloped in my best friend's love. people looked at us when we danced near the screen stage on 'our song', it is taylor's old album so not everyone knew but it felt like a main character moment to know and when my best friend made me twirl to it, I remembered listening to this song for the first time on YouTube, it was one of the first Taylor songs after love story that I had heard and I fell in love with its country storytelling, 11 year old me wanted that love. and when my best friend told me there was no one I would do this with except you, I almost wanted to crush her in my embrace because same but also because it is not just about the movie and fandom and celebrating your love for music which whispered your soul alive but also about people, people who you share that love with and the sharing is such a love multiplier cause love is not just stored in my best friend but she returns me love with interest, with more dividends with just more love. god i love her so much!!!
we were planning to stay in the city in a hotel with our other friend whose birthday it was and celebrate her birthday with good old fashioned alcohol and going to a nightclub. yes very first world country I think but I am not from a first world country and it was like my second time going to a club. after reaching at the hotel, we ordered wraps and showered and got cozy under those white comfy hotel comforters. we took a cuddly nap and then woke up late in evening when the sun set, sky was the darkish greyish blue and vehicles were honking during evening rush. oh wait btw I just got legal so I legally brought alcohol from the mall btw, they didn't even check my id cause the way I asked about alcohol seemed like i was experienced and old even though I have like a baby face. we ordered some noodles, chicken, snacks and mixers BUT THERE WAS NO BOTTLE OPENER for the mixers and my friend used a spoon to open it IT WAS SO FUCKING COOL, I literally gave her three bows on my legs. I had the most fun pregaming experience cause I was with the people I felt so comfortable and loved by, we got ready while pregaming. I often talk about girlhood interrupted due to being in 20s but with my best friend doing my eyeliner, mixing drinks, dancing to paper rings and 2010s bollywood songs, pregaming on bhajans, wearing sparkly dresses and jewellery and just hugging my friends for no reason was when my girlhood was interrupted. my best friend ordered an auto in her tipsy state.
and we went to the club, saw the cool college group from uni turns out they are very boring, they didn't even dance. they played some amazing songs so we danced, my musical soulmate flicked my glasses off and a kind girl from the cool college group also helped me find it, my best friend found it. there was that obnoxious male attention which we downed it with one shared long island tea, the club asked us for a picture idk how tf that picture turned out cause we were so drunk, I remember being so happy in that moment just holding my best friend and dancing to songs in languages I didn't even understand. and then when it was time to go home, this guy flirted with both of us (I called him mufasa from simba idk why I told him he's hot but dont you dare think you're getting away flirting with both of us men ugh he was hot tho) , I fell off sone stairs a bit not hurt don't worry, the sober birthday girl called a taxi, I emergency dialled my parents (yes they are all stories for some other). I cleaned my best friends puke, held her hair, broke a cup during cleaning, I puked. it was quite a wild night, we cleaned up, had the best sleep of our lives. I just I think the aftermath of returning is when I truly realized how I love my friends like I didn't mind cleaning up after them, it was natural. they took care of me—shoving antacid in my mouth, cuddling me post breakfast while we watched gilmore girls, it was yeah. it was a surreal dream, true textbook fanfictiony being in your 20s experience that you tell your kids but that is not why I loved it the most, I loved it because I was with people who made me feel so loved. ughhhhhhhhh

His father, Manas Mukherjee, was a noted music composer, and his grandfather, Jahar Mukherjee, a respected lyricist. Growing up in this environment, Shaan was exposed to music from a young age, which naturally nurtured his passion for the art. Despite losing his father at a tender age, Shaan’s love for music kept him grounded and motivated.
His career began modestly with jingles for advertisements, but his talent soon caught the attention of industry stalwarts. Shaan’s big break came when he ventured into playback singing in Bollywood. His soulful voice and impeccable versatility quickly made him a sought-after singer in the industry.
Shaan’s Rise in Bollywood
Shaan’s initial foray into playback singing began with smaller projects, but his big moment arrived with the album Tanha Dil in 2000. The title track, “Tanha Dil,” became an anthem for youth at the time, showcasing Shaan’s ability to connect deeply with his audience.
After the success of Tanha Dil, Shaan’s career skyrocketed. He lent his voice to numerous hit songs in Bollywood, working with acclaimed music directors such as A.R. Rahman, Vishal-Shekhar, and Pritam. Some of his iconic tracks include “Chand Sifarish” (Fanaa), “Jab Se Tere Naina” (Saawariya), and “Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh” (3 Idiots). A Versatile Artist

Beyond awards, Shaan’s greatest achievement lies in the hearts of his fans. His songs have become the soundtrack to countless memories, weddings, and celebrations, a testament to his enduring appeal.
Impact Beyond Bollywood
While Bollywood has been Shaan’s primary platform, his contributions extend beyond films. He has hosted and judged several popular music reality shows, such as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Voice of India, and The Voice. These platforms allowed Shaan to mentor and inspire budding artists, cementing his role as a guide for the next generation of singers.
