For some reason blogging and using Tumblr from my computer gives me like a..nostalgia?? Makes me want to buy a laptop for the soul purpose of blogging from it and writing selfship fanfics again.
Anywho I am back from my mini unplanned hiatus!! I hope everyone is doing well, make sure to dedicate some time to doing F.A nothing.
#technicallly I still have my really old laptop that I can use....#but ive been jaded by quick boot-up times.#Perhaps if thats truly all I will use it for. which asides from discord(which I can just have pulled up on my phone)((or use the website-#-version)) then I could just get something like a chromebook that boots up really fast cause there is like. nothing on it as it is meant-#-for like. Just quick google acsess and really nothing else.#School has benefitted me with one thing it seems and it is the use of chromebooks /half joking#And most are like 100-200$. Im actually seeing some for less than that but I havent done any research yet.#Perhaps something to keep on the backburner of my mind as I will probably doubly want one when I move out-#and of course I can not just. easily grab and transport my gaming pc wherever I please. Cause that is what I have.

i need to stop looking at job postings when i am very firmly not in a place where i can move jobs right now

#so im gonna be a lil bitch on main for a minute#ive been offline for a while#pretty much absent from all my socials#im in a pickle financially like i have no money anywhere#my credit cards are maxxed#my bank account is negative 400 dollars#im getting 20 dollars less in disability benefits a month without a clear reason for the witholding#granted its only 20 bucks less but that still makes a huge difference when thats my ONLY source of income#AND i am moving into a new apartment which should be an exciting experience finally moving out of my parents house and on my own and all BU#even with the voucher program i would need an additional 600 to be able to afford my rent share and utilities#on top of being negative 400 dollars a month so now thats -1000#WHICH end result and the crux of this whole rant#i can no longer help#like i am fucking useless right now and people are literally dying#i have many unanswered asks from gazans right now that I cannot even help bc im so broke#it feels really bad bruv like reallybad#feels like absolute shit#and it ust feels so wrong to ask for help when others need it more#like i dont think i could do that#wtf man#is it me upset that my entire disability check goes to bills to the point where i overdraft every month? yeah sure#my art does not sell and ive tried everything! like it just DOES NOT sell#and it all kinda boils down to me not having any sort of following online#i just breached 200 followers here after 13 years on this website#most are inactive blogs from years ago so i maybe have like... 10 active followers?#whiny usamerican rant over for now#delete later

The images on that post were hidden for awhile and literally just came back today. No one was "still seeing them" they just got unhidden, and it took quite awhile for that.
Actually I caught them visible literally when the news first broke of them being taken down so yeah again maybe this website that is infamous for being broken as hell is just broken as hell, and attributing everything to malice makes you into a bitter person who jumps at shadows. Jackle's bio done! HUGE shoutout to @spyroid101 for the picture of Jackle's bio from the PS2 remake manual.
Disclaimer that I do not actually know Japanese and am putting these translations together through a mix of jisho.org and two different translation software (google translate and deepl) and referencing various websites about the meanings of words.
Original Japanese:

My translation:

Translation notes:
Interestingly, unlike NiGHTS and Reala, Jackle is actually referred to by a gendered pronoun! Kare (彼) meaning he/him. This is only used once, but I elected to use the gendered pronoun thing throughout for consistency.
The katakana for 'crazy' once again shows up like it did in NiGHTS' bio, so I kept with the consistent use of it meaning 'chaotic' as I found on a website while working on that bio.
Jackle being a failed First level is 100% canon! That's so neat.

Me responding to an email at work: "Blah blah blah, yes, no, here's a line for filler that probably doesn't need to be mentioned at all but it's weird if the email is too short."
Response I get back: "Thank you for saying [line I threw in as filler], I didn't know that and it was very helpful!!"
#I work in insurance so this was from a company letting us know a retiree who had our benefits passed away#and I did my best to professionally pass on condolences and say I've processed it and got the ball rolling on the life insurance payout etc#and threw in a line about how we would send his spouse the paperwork to elect those same benefits if she wants to stay on our plan#and they were very thankful I mentioned we would do that because they didn't know how that process worked at all#my approach to emails at work is#how much info would I as the reciever want so I can understand wtf is going on and why#while not overwhelming them with info that's confusing and would make it seem like I'm contradicting myself when I'm not#and apparently that's why I got a Christmas bonus this year#because I've done such a good job explaining things to our member companies in my emails#we have to CC our field team person for every email we send to a company and with my assigned states I only work with 2 of them#and the field team person for my biggest states apparently frequently sings my praises at their weekly meeting with my boss/her bosses#I've been informed on good authority everyone in Wisconsin loves me#sometimes I get thanked for my transparency and I have to re-read my email to make sure I'm not going to get in trouble for it lmao#my autism makes me want to be tooooo honest at work#why did the website try to prevent you from signing up for that specific medical plan?#idfk but I fixed it for you and here's what you need to do in case someone tries to give you trouble for it down the road#[enter gif of Mr. Incredible typing while looking dead inside]#yes I said something

twitter adding a massive amount of completely random (and often negative or upsetting) tweets to the for you page and removing the context for why relevant tweets are there and instagram actually removing posts from your feed after you've seen them so it can say "you're all caught up" and show you posts from people you don't follow have rendered both almost unusable
#is there anything out there that can fix them. I've looked and it seems like no. nothing like xkit people seem to just settle#now I know what you can do for twitter is switch to following but I was used to for you. I don't follow a lot of people on twitter#so while I want to see a bunch of posts I don't want to follow a ton of people and flood my feed so I miss the posts#from the people I'm actually on there for#old for you mixed in some relevant tweets from adjacent people and boosted tweets from people I follow that I may have missed#(and there was a bit of random stuff mixed in sometimes you had to x out of but nothing like now)#on tumblr it doesn't matter because people mostly reblog and most of the content is similar but I literally only stayed on twitter#for creators who are only on twitter#(and because of the inherent nature of twitter tweets are so fleeting vs. tumblr where you can easily find/access posts)#(so on a website where posts are gone in an instant and you'll never see them again non-chrono maybe does have benefits)#on following without the boosting there's a million tweets from one account in a row and I miss the tweets from the others#and then there are barely any tweets other than that#but now on for you there's so much random stuff mixed in that I can't use it for very long anyway#instagram has a following tab that makes it how it used to be (chrono with no suggested posts. the ideal) but only on mobile. so#personal
