BATIM • City of Angels - Em Beihold
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You always wanted to take before you give
But what’s the fun of it? I don’t know how you live
With yourself in your Hollywood house on the hills
Gives me chills
City of Angels
That’s what they call us right?”
I am providing no context to this.

On a scale to 'it's all just a dream' to 'the world is gonna fucking DIE', how disastrous would the consequences be if what was inside the studio spread out?
Also, if an urban explorer disregarded warnings and went into the studio, what would they find?
Well, since all this is the result of just a tiny sliver of the black basin being transported to Earth’s surface, it certainly wouldn’t be good. At all. But I think, when taking into terms its sentience (or even sapience), the basin is more like a parasite. If it got out, it wouldn’t gorge itself out in the open, but instead hide itself in nooks and slowly take over different establishments, along with people’s lives.
As for the other question, nothing of note if they weren’t led astray. If no one knew they were coming, and they didn’t stay for long or go too deep, they would just find the interesting but uneventful remains of a once great studio. It only gets weird when someone feeds into that morbid curiosity.

Sigh literally got the idea to make bendy stuff but analog horror type shit except my ass does NOT know anything about analog horror nor do I have the brain capacity to learn actual editing software because my stupid smooth little brain cant figure out how to use it for the life of me so here's a stupid silly thing I made while trying to test with capcut
Kinda sucks ass but this was the only thing my sickly diseased half a braincell could produce

Bendy Analog Horror coming soon…
Disclaimer: this is not made to gatekeep how I think Bendy should be drawn. This is to establish how he’s drawn within the continuity of Bendy Analog Horror, which may or may not be subject to change.

Hey Roux! Been interested in your content for a hot minute (I'm one of the folks who asked Henry a question a little bit ago)
I got a question about the Bendy Analouge horror coming out. Will we get a closer look at some of the models used for it any time soon? How different will they be from some of the older models you've made?
(IE: Toon Ink Demon, the Sammy Lawrence model from the one video you made, etc.)
A lot of the designs will be revealed within the series itself, ESPECIALLY the Ink Demon designs. It’ll be likely that you’ll only get a better look at the designs AFTER their debut episode has already released. As for the designs you’ve already seen, here’s a bit of a fun fact.
The Toon Demon and Sammy Lawrence were actually designs I made for a different AU called Bendy and the Demon Within (BATDW), before I started prioritizing the Bendy Analog Horror AU as my main Bendy AU.
Bendy Analog Horror is gonna have a VASTLY different art style compared to BATDW. BATDW is more cartoonish, sort of more resembling an Epic Mickey art style mixed with some more canon designs. The Bendy Analog Horror designs will be a FAR cry from the canon, and are typically designed to be more organic and disturbing (maybe even grotesque), but in a way that makes sense.
Here’s the concept art for both versions of Sammy Lawrence to compare:

I'm surprised there's no bendy analog horror series, Lost old cartoon would be perfect idea for those genre
That and the toonish ink stuff can distort people's faces in uncanny ways.

Ok, so this is the wall, in my bedroom which consists of many many fandoms or just topics I have grown to enjoy over time. A couple are outdated considering now, but they were pretty special to me when painting it. The wall was finished in 2023 on June 15.
Many were made by printing the logos/designs on my printer, tracing the backs really hard in a pencil, and then firmly pressing each design onto the wall so I had a stencil of what I was coloring in. Many are just designs I found on the internet at the time and others are just logos or things I thought would be a good symbol for said fixation at the time.
Did I want it to look different at the beginning? Yes, originally it was going to be the symbols or main characters in one big collage but I realized that I have zero art skills and it wouldn't ever be accomplished so I made the design more simple and now I really like how it turned out.
Do I wish a few were different now because of time or lack of interest? Yes and no. Yes, because I either don't like a certain topic at all anymore or I just could have something that I think represents me more on there but for right now I'm okay with how it is. No, because I look at this wall every day of my life, and seeing a certain square can remind me of a specific time in my life that I really enjoyed and I love that feeling.
Do I think that some of the squares are a little cringe now over time and how I have changed as a person? Absolutely but I could never ever get myself to get rid of those ones because they might be looked upon as weird or cringe now but at the time they helped me get through so many tough times that I can't get myself to get rid of those.
A few of these squares will definitely be changed but at least 97% of them I love seeing every day because of the memories and good times. I love my wall and it represents what I've liked over the years and that's okay. You should be able to like what you want without being criticized for it, hell I've debated posting this because I was scared that people were going laugh at the things on there but to be honest? Let me laugh with you as I remember how that square I cringe on now or how that square I would defend with my life. Just be you, that's all.
What are the fixations that are on the wall, and do I still want them there? I'll tell ya starting from the top right corner.

So I really love mascot horror. Recently people say it’s gone downhill and isn’t good anymore because the “cutsey children’s play place/mascot/media is secretly haunted or evil” trope has been done to death, and it has. To me however, I think as long as you add new and interesting elements to it, it’s an enjoyable genre.
It all started with Fnaf, but people fell out of love with the trope. I think Poppy playtime is the most recent one of this genre that’s popular but even then people say there’s nothing cool about and it’s just a rip off of Fnaf, which I have to agree, I don’t think there’s anything special about the lore though I do want to see where the story goes. Bendy and the Ink Machine is another popular one, but I’ve seen some people say it fell off and it’s lore/gameplays are messy. (I’m not really into BATIM but I’ll definitely rewatch gameplays of it to see if I get invested in it)
That’s why I think a good example of this trope that added something engaging (other than The analog horror “The Walten Files” cause that’s at the top) is the indie horror game “Amanda The Adventure”. I’m a HUGE fan of the game. Even though it follows the “kids company is secretly corrupt and there’s an evil force in the kids show) I think the gameplay itself is so good with its puzzles and the lore has got me SO invested, because the main focus isn’t the “demon”, it’s the human characters behind the cartoon, the missing girl who voiced Amanda. I really think it should become a trend in indie horror where rather than focusing on the supernatural threat, it’s more about unraveling the mystery of the characters and what happened to them, as well as world building. To me that’s more interesting than “scary monster chases you”.
