I read the tags on the ROTTMNT villains reblog, do you have more any scenarios and ideas for the villians? ANYTHING will do, they’re so fun and intriguing but the fandom overlooks them constantly.

Oh, I'm so glad you asked!!! I love the villains sooo much that I'm making an Ask blog revolving around them opening a bar lmao. I'm happy to see others who are invested.

Headcanons

Repo Mantis

I feel he was the first to be mutated with normal he acts like he gives no shit he's a mutant and we see him deal with humans. In my AU it's due to the fact he was mutated years before ROTTMNTs start. I mean he is not weirded out by the boys, he clearly knows Yokai exists. I have it set so he started doing work in the Hidden City and Draxum saw a nice unmutated human to experiment on and bam mantis man.

Repos trans too, idk man he's my favorite outside of Todd and you know? He's like me frfr. Repo def doesn't strike me as a top surgery guy, but also I feel his mutation helped his dysphoria a LOT because like I mean I've felt that.

Man is also very obsessed with his hair, and uses a lot of products. Doesn't care he's greying but he DOES care how healthy it is.

Repo can and will do drag. (Warren helps with his makeup and wig due to his claws getting in the way)

Hypno

Here's a lil angst one.

Hypno doesn't realize he fused with Doug. I can't remember the episode name, but it's the one in the botanical gardens where we get the flower mutant. We see that humans can literally be fused with plant life and possibly animal life. Also since we know Hypno wants to bring Doug back to life, hes passed away. Given that Doug was Hypnos hippo, and was most likely with him when he was bit, he doesn't realize he's been fused with his buddy.

He just knows his buddy is gone and he'll never see him again. That or he fully knows but is in denial. Warren buys him merch based on Doug as a way to make him feel better, since he's not the greatest at comforting people.

Hypno doesn't really have a label. He knows he's queer but doesn't care to label himself. He likes who he likes, and that's all that matters.

Hypno does drag a lot!!!! He LOVES doing drag! It's fun for him, and how he expresses himself!

A lil senario thing

Imagine that Repo was actually a fan of Warren Stone as an anchorman, imagine he enjoyed his jokes and commentary. Repos devastated he went missing, and genuinely invested in keeping up with anyone trying to find him. When he discovers his favorite anchors alive and not dead he's thrilled.

Due to the fact we know everyone Warren knew pre-mutation abandoned him he doesn't trust Repo, not at first. After all Hypnos is the only one who takes him seriously or seems to give a shit about him especially after he bungled everything with April. (He feels guilty about that gauntlet situation I will die on this hill.) So naturally he doesn't believe Repo at first. Repos pretty hurt, but man he gets it. These changes are big but he promises he's a fan and even knows other fans too.

Repo ends up taking Warren and Hypno to meet the others, sure they met when Draxum "hired" them but it was just a job and they didn't really to much time to talk after they got into action. I like to think Warrens was genuinely touched to see he has a fan base. I'm fully convinced post Warren and Hypno Sitting in a Tree Todd got Warrent a job as a Hidden City news anchor. Sure it's not what he had, but it IS something, and these yokai? They love him even if he's a worm-

A/N: Honestly, I stopped staying hydrated for a while, but I'm back to drinking a lot of water. Stay hydrated!! I would like to preface with the fact that before Hypno mutated he went by Mezmer-Ron so I'm assuming his name was Ron... I honestly had no clue what to do with Ghostbear...

Donnie

You meet up with Donnie in the alley between the buildings you were perched on. You put the few pieces of mystic metal you found in his bag before you both turned to go back to the lair.

"Well well..." You hear a familiar New Zealand accent. Donnie tensed next to you. "I've found a turtle..."

Donnie turned and pulled out his bō, eyebrows drawn down. "I was in the middle of something." Donnie sighed. You turned to see the mutant hippo, who was all ready to pounce when he saw you.

"Y/N?" The hippo asks, lowering his rings.

"Uncle Ron?" You question.

"Uncle Ron?" Donnie turns to you.

"By days..." Hypno gasps, rings dropping to the ground. You race to him, enveloping him in a hug. A few years ago he just disappeared. "I haven't seen you in years, you've gotten so big."

"I'm hoping you weren't planning on killing my boyfriend." You laughed, Donnie hesitantly approached.

"You're dating a turtle?" Hypno huffs, both men glaring at each other.

"Says the hippo..." You answer.

Leo

Leo had portaled you guys to the beach for a day of relaxation. At least that was the plan, but soon Leo was fighting 2 giant crab men.

"I hate the Sando brothers..." Leo groans, being able to take a quick break from fighting to check on you.

"Sando?" You ask. He nods, watching them to make sure he didn't put you in danger. "Like... Ben and Carl Sando. Acrobats."

"Uh yeah..." Leo frowns, looking at you. "Why?"

"They're my uncles." You answer.

"Uncles? Your uncles are crab men... Why didn't you tell me you were related to the Sando's?"

"It never came up!" Ben charged, you quicky stepped in front. "Ben!"

"Y/N?" He grunts, skidding to a stop, Carl flies into him, making them fall over. "It really is you! What are you doing with this turtle?"

"He's my boyfriend."

"Aren't you a little young to be dating?" Carl glares at Leo.

Eventually they simmer down and you all go out for lunch to catch up. Your mom will be really happy knowing her brothers are okay.

Mikey

Mikey was headed to meet you at a yo'kai restaurant close by. He turned the corner and saw you with Meat Sweats. He couldn't see your face, but he saw Meat Sweats' gross smile. You were in danger, he had to do something.

"And I —"

"Y/N!?" Mikey calls. Rupert looked up, recognizing the orange turtle's voice. "Get away from them."

"Mikey." You grab his hand and pull him closer. "This is my uncle. Rupert Swaggert. This is my boyfriend, Mikey, he's a huge fan of Consenting Kitchen."

"Your uncle?" Mikey asks, at the same time Rupert says: "Your boyfriend?"

"We just bumped into each other." You smiled. "I haven't seen him since before he mutated."

Neither man spoke, nor did they look at you. They glared at each other. Sure Mikey was a fan of Rupert Swaggert, but he wasn't the biggest fan of Meat Sweats.

"Uh... I'm see you later, I have a date tonight." You smiled awkwardly at your uncle before dragging Mikey into the restaurant.

Raph

Both of you were chilling out in the park together. It was dark, so there wasn't a fear of people seeing him. You had grabbed takeout and drinks for a late night picnic.

This was your first date in months due to the missions Raph had to go on. But it made it all the more special.

"You wouldn't believe the guy that came in today at work." You laughed. Raph chuckled, not speaking so you could continue your story. "He kept trying to tell me that he needed left handed pencils. Like I was an idiot."

"Only one turtle?" Someone asks. You both turn and see a polar bear. "Y/N? What are you doing with this turtle?"

"Ghostbear..." Raph huffs. "I was just enjoying a date night..."

"Ghostbear?" You look at Raph who nods. "Like the pro wrestler?"

"Yeah?"

"That's my uncle!"

"What? You never told me! I was a huge fan of his... Until he tried to kill us."

Chapter 6

Hypno stumbles into his apartment, Warren draped across his head.

“Well, that was a disaster,” Hypno remarks.

“I told you teaming up with other villains was a bad idea,” Warren points out.

“I thought we could expand our rep,” he sighs, “oh, well. At least it’s over now.”

He starts to sit on a couch when a blue portal suddenly appears beneath him and they both fall through.

They land on a hard stone floor in a dimly lit room. As Hypno tries to sit up, a face wearing a hockey mask with glowing eyes appears in front of him, and he screams and falls back down.

Casey scoffs as he steps back, lifting his mask. “Are you sure about this, Sensei? These are the guys who stole the key in the first place.”

“You were probably too young to remember, Casey,” Leonardo replies, “but everyone here was once part of the resistance.”

He stands in the middle of the TV room in the lair, leaning against his sword. Before him are Hypno and Warren, as well as Meat Sweats, Repo-Mantis, and Carl and Ben Sando. Splinter, Draxum, Cassandra, April and the turtles are sitting off to the side, watching curiously.

“Is this really a good idea?” Mikey asks quietly.

“I’m still in shock over a version of Leo agreeing with Raph about something,” Donnie remarks.

“Me too,” Raph agrees, “guess this adult Leo really is more mature.” “I’m literally sitting right here,” Leo grumbles.

“What is going on?” Meat Sweats demands, “I was in the middle of a risotto!”

“And I was repossessing a kid’s teddy bear,” Repo adds.

“This guy looks like one of the turtles,” Ben comments at Leonardo.

“Yeah,” Carl agrees, “but bigger and cooler and manlier.” “I’m literally right here!” Leo shouts.

Leonardo chuckles with amusement as he addresses the villains. “Allow me to introduce myself. I am Leonardo, from the future.”

They gasp with surprise.

Day Twelve - Tokyo

18th November 2022

Alright Tokyo, Day Two. Let's see what we've got...

Today we are heading to Shibuya and Shinjuku for Shin-anigan's...

First stop is Eggslut in Shibuya. A bit tricky to find, it was inside a "mall" thing, and inside a two level food court... but not the main food court. -__- There was also a taco bell, and a panda express... we weren't tempted, and it was worth it. Possibly the best egg sando I've ever had. Sure, I might die if I eat another one... but holy moley, it was gooey and perfect. The service was actually not great... for Japan. But, no complaints. Its Fast Food.

Now to explore... I took ben to Tower Records. Unsure if this was a mistake -- we were in there for 3 hours. Looking at records, and CD's and music memorabilia. It's so awesome that this culture is still alive here. There's something magical and nostalgic about digging around a CD store. :) I bought some second hand records, and had to stop myself at some.. sigh. Next time, a bigger bag. More luggage. Haha!

I was able to do some shopping of my own at this stage -- heading to the Disney Store and Loft (for STICKERS!!) and we grabbed a coffee at a nearby cafe which was cash free, seat yourself... very COVID friendly. I hated it. Haha! But I knew we were about to head to Fruits Parlour to get another cafe experience. I've been dying to go back!

Their menu wasnt as fun as it was last time (I went in Spring and it was cherry blossom season) but we still got to have a delicious strawberry parfait. Walking back, I thought to take the long way via the Tokyo Tower and see what food is available there.

Tokyo Tower was all lit up because now it was dark -- so pretty. But this also meant the food places were minimal. But the food court underneath was still popping -- we decided to have a snack and get Ramen before we have our late night adventure.

After the hotel to recharge (and drink the alcohol we had collected throughout our trip, and use the salt from the flight to shot the tequila.. which was gross btw...) we were headed back to Shinjuku. To Donki first for some cheap booze again, and then Ramen at Ichi-ran.

Ben LOVED Ichiran. It is so fun and solo, but we were drunk and being obnoxious. Woops. Sorry Tokyo. He was dancing because his smoked chasu was delicious haha!

I had found some "rock" bars to visit -- GODZ Bar was the first on the list. Full of memorabilia and autographs from bands who had also visited, it was definitely our place to be. The bartender chick, was just standing there, smoking, like she didn't want to be -- but it added to the aesthetic. We chatted with some dudes (i swear they were from Germany, maybe it was Amsterdam?) about metal and sang along to the Youtube videos they were playing.

Next up was BarPSY which was their "sister" bar. Across the way -- it was smaller, but busier and the vibe was so fun. We were forced into doing Jager Shots from test tubes and told do say "Chin-po" which apparently means Penis. Thanks HAHA!

I still wanted to do MORE but it was 2am, now that means the trains were done... its expensive Taxi Time. Woops again. I'm always surprised at how fast it seems like they drive...

"Today involved music, shopping and drinking. It got messy.

We started the day looking for a breakfast place in Shibuya so we looked around the Disney Store and Tower Records. I bought some second hand records and they were really cheap compared to what we get in Adelaide so I was excited. Hopefully they come home okay!

After all the shopping I took Ben past the Tokyo Tower and we had a drink underneath before walking back to our hotel to get ready to go out to Shinjuku and find some where to party.

I came across Godz Bar on IG a long time ago so that was our first stop and we met some German dudes and rocked out to some metal. Then we went across to their “partner bar” Bar PSY and did some Jaeger shots and it started to get messy. Taxi back to the hotel was definitely an easier option! 😂"

First, Happy Belated Birthday!!! 🎉🎂

And second, I totally agree we should get a Rise! Villains spin-off, the Villains were one of the best part of Rise since the majority were unique and interesting, and a spin-off would further develop their characters more.( Seriously though, the Sando Bros got way less character development than they should have, I'm very mad at Nick we didn't get more of them due to cutting season 2, especially when Ben didn't appear again after season 1)

A story-driven series would definitely work, not sure what the story would be though.

An anthology series having each episode focusing on a different villain would also be amazing. Some episodes can focus on their backstory or just a random adventure. And of course, the turtles and others would cameo.

A Hypno x Warren spin-off would also be perfect, more with these two would be delightful and amazing for LGBT+ representation, plus it would mean they have a chance to KISS ON SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I’m 23 now. Older and wiser and all that crap. I will now proceed to be sappy.

Looking back on the year I had, I’m glad I didn’t give up. I’m glad I wrote what was basically a shitpost about my favorite turtle and favorite villains that snowballed into multiple works. I’m grateful for all who have read my writing and told me that they enjoy it. I’m grateful for this lovely community, for my amazing new friends and their excellent art, and for finally rekindling my spark for being alive. It’s been a while. 

And now for the slightly less serious, as a direct call out to Ant Ward, listen man - pitch Netflix a Rise! villain spin-off series. Or better yet, just a spin-off about Warren and Hypno. I will watch it. Hell, I’d write for it if you let me. They have so much potential that needs to be explored! But I digress.

Entertainment

I rewatched “Man vs. Sewer” and “The Mutant Menace” and realized that those episodes might be paired for a reason. Baxter and the Sando Brothers are very different characters, but what they have in common is that they are entertainers. Perhaps we’ll get a team-up in the future, to parody how YouTubers and such will collaborate?

Baxter’s smear campaign against the turtles worked extremely well at first, but after the fiasco at the end he’ll need to make his next video even more exciting. In a more meta sense, the writers will also have to raise the stakes for the future episode. How do the writers put the turtles in greater danger by having Baxter make a more dramatic video?

Well, how can the Sando Brothers help Baxter? What do they have to contribute that will help them all take down the turtles?

They know about Raph’s dissociative issues.

And Baxter would jump at the chance to take advantage of that. “Savage Snapper Terrorizes New York!” is quite the clickbaity title. All he has to do is get Raph alone and trap him with a few hundred microbots mousers, and the video will practically record itself!

Anyway, the moral of the story would be that forcibly outing someone is bad, especially when it entails broadcasting and vilifying their mental illness to the entire internet, Baxter.

Seriously though, I do want some more backstory/context on what exactly happened to Raph, it seems like it would have been Something Big.

The plot gets foiled and Donnie erases all traces of the recording and everything is fine. Also Baxter and the Sando Brothers stop working together and then they post callout videos about each other the end.

Day Nine - Lake Kawaguchiko

15th November 2022

Despite the weather being super miserable, we decided to do some sight seeing and check out some of the area. I wanted to take Ben to the "Natural Living Centre" to get the softserve. Last time i was there, it was the BEST! We checked out the souvenier store and grabbed some local produce like spices and jams, and then had a fruit sando and an icecream and sat upstairs.

We went to a couple of spots on the bus tour, but I wasnt happy with the route... so, I decided we should go on the longer one to the old town. The buses were stressing me out -- they werent on time, and in japan, this is WEIRD FOR ME! When we got there, it was pretty busy, and a lot of it was closed down (COVID things...) but I really like this area and I wish I could have spent more time exploring. There are cute food stalls, things to buy and look at, they have beautiful clear ponds and a temple, it's really gorgeous.

After waiting for the bus for too long, with a bunch of other confused people, I thought we should go to Fuji-Q Highlands for dinner. This is a themepark at the foot of Mount Fuji with some of the "most" rides. Tallest, fastest, biggest drop... you name it, they have it. But it's free entry and you can walk around and look at everything, and eat at the food places... However, it closes at sundown... probably because the cloud from the mountain covers the top of the rides, making it super eerie.

Well, you guessed it. No food open after 7pm. This doesn't help with our stomachs only getting hungry after 8pm... OOPS.

Earlier in the day I recalled driving past an italian restaurant closeby called "Macaroni Club" which is a club I could be a part of -- so again, its Italian food in Japan. No complaints. It was delicious!

Across the road there was an indoor amusement park with claw machines and vidoe games. I managed to win a Torchic Plushie for ¥100! Then of course -- a Donki, so we went to stock up with some more supplies, played with the gatcha machines and then it's back home via taxi (because walking was NOT going to happen!)

Terrible weather calls for a day of touring buses. I bought two (actually three, one for tomorrow) bus tickets to get us around the Fuji Five Lakes area and see the sights while the clouds were low.

We went to the Natural Living Centre and then to the Oshino Hakkai village while checking out the autumn foliage and food stalls and snacks. 🍂

At the end of the day, I wanted to walk around Fuji-Q Highlands and get food, but everything was closed before it was supposed to… we went across the road to Donki, found a game arcade and I won a stuffed Pokémon (Torchic) on a first shot! ¥100! (Let’s not count the other ¥1500 we lost in the panchinko slots oops!!)
