House of Horrors (1946)
"Listen closely, Clarence my lad, I have penned a deathly masterpiece of barbed invective."
"Ah, don't kid me, Mr. Ormiston, you don't use a pen. I saw you do it on the typewriter - and not very fast, either."

This was the night when the Nations League became Sunday League. It is difficult to conceive of an occasion more contrasting in atmosphere, intensity and emotion than the World Cup semi-final which England and Croatia contested just 93 days earlier. Bereft of supporters as a result of a Uefa punishment following Croatia displaying a swastika on their pitch during a Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy, all that was left were roughly 200 people attending the game in various professional capacities. For the first time in 988 matches dating back to 1872, England were playing behind closed doors and to describe the game as surreal barely does it justice. Watching England’s strikers go through their warm-up shooting drills to the strains of Croatian pop music was like witnessing a real-life version of the training mode in FIFA video games – except the soundtrack was much worse. After the anthems received a ripple of applause from assembled stadium staff, media and match representatives of both teams, the PA system fell quiet and suddenly the uniquely visceral nature of this game became clear: the high-five slaps, the barked words of encouragement, the bounce of the ball. Every sound usually drowned out was suddenly audible. (Getty Images) A three-storey house overlooking the ground containing two upper-floor balconies provided a vantage point for a few lucky locals. Within two minutes of the start, a smattering of England fans stationed on a hill behind Jordan Pickford’s goal raised a chant of “En-ger-land”, a song they reprised when Raheem Sterling almost had a chance to put the visitors in front just 13 minutes in but Josip Pivaric intercepted Ben Chilwell’s cross in the nick of time. Read moreJordan Henderson’s early yellow card for tugging at Ivan Rakitic’s shirt did not subdue him but it quickly became evident England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was the loudest player on the pitch, shouting and instructing at every turn. Henderson soon challenged him, however, pushing Raheem Sterling to press – “go on Raz!” – and then Harry Kane – ‘Go on H!” in turn, all the while dragging England’s midfield forward in search of possession high up the pitch. One handball decision which went against Croatia prompted coach Zlatko Dalic to voice his dismay from the touchline. Henderson shouted back: “Are you the f****** ref?” In Pictures | Croatia vs England | 12/10/2018 1/26Action Images via Reuters 2/26Getty Images 3/26Action Images via Reuters 4/26Action Images via Reuters 5/26Action Images via Reuters 6/26Action Images via Reuters 7/26Action Images via Reuters 8/26AFP/Getty Images 9/26Getty Images 10/26Action Images via Reuters 11/26Action Images via Reuters 12/26REUTERS 13/26Action Images via Reuters 14/26Getty Images 15/26Getty Images 16/26Getty Images 17/26Getty Images 18/26Getty Images 19/26Getty Images 20/26Getty Images 21/26Getty Images 22/26Getty Images 23/26Getty Images 24/26Getty Images 25/26Getty Images 26/26Getty Images 1/26Action Images via Reuters 2/26Getty Images 3/26Action Images via Reuters 4/26Action Images via Reuters 5/26Action Images via Reuters 6/26Action Images via Reuters 7/26Action Images via Reuters 8/26AFP/Getty Images 9/26Getty Images 10/26Action Images via Reuters 11/26Action Images via Reuters 12/26REUTERS 13/26Action Images via Reuters 14/26Getty Images 15/26Getty Images 16/26Getty Images 17/26Getty Images 18/26Getty Images 19/26Getty Images 20/26Getty Images 21/26Getty Images 22/26Getty Images 23/26Getty Images 24/26Getty Images 25/26Getty Images 26/26Getty Images It was a first half short on chances, affording several moments for minds to wander. “F*** off Uefa, we’ll do what we want,” came the chant from the exiled England fans on the hill. Just as the contest appeared to be petering out completely, Croatia created their best opportunity. Andrej Kramaric found himself unmarked in a central position near the penalty spot. He went for placement but scuffed a sidefooted effort, clutched into his chest by a grateful Pickford. (Action Images via Reuters) Gareth Southgate stood statuesque for the most part, the odd three or four claps of applause aside, but he was nearly jolted into motion on the stroke of half-time when Eric Dier met Henderson’s near-post corner with a glancing header which struck the far post. Those poor souls on the hill entertained themselves. “Your support is f****** s***,” they sang to muted press box laughter. (Action Images via Reuters) Both sides stepped it up significantly after the restart. Perisic forced Pickford into a smart low save before Kane hit the crossbar from Henderson’s right-wing free-kick. The loudest roar of the night came when Ross Barkley went down in the box but German referee Felix Brych was unmoved. Rashford then wasted two golden chances to give England the lead, the first effort so tame it actually prompted belly-laughter from one stadium staff member which echoed out into the Rijeka night. Just as a football match threatened to break out, an ambulance reversed into position in one corner of the ground, reinforcing the absurdity of the occasion. (Getty Images) “Pickford, Pickford give us a wave,” came the cry from the hill shortly afterwards. He debated it for a moment and then duly obliged. The second half was much better than the first but it ended in a stalemate with Southgate’s switch to 4-3-3 helping to nullify Croatia and England guilty of missing the better opportunities. If there is one conclusion to draw, it is perhaps this: the marketing executives who sell football as a product for billions around the world need full stadia to complete the package. (Getty Images) Matchday going fans have been neglected in pursuit of ever-more compromising television deals for too long. The game needs fans as much as fans need the game. This was the product of a Uefa sanction but nevertheless also a warning for the game, one that resonates at all levels. Croatia 0-0 England: Jadon Sancho and Ben Chilwell's surreal experiences
It is the moment every young footballer dreams of.
Emerging to the roar of the crowd, acknowledging your family in the stands, and lining up for the national anthem.
Yet for Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell, the experience on his first start for England – against Croatia on Friday – was considerably more surreal, as he attempted to belt out God Save the Queen knowing everyone at the ground could hear every word.
With the hosts punished after a swastika was visible on the pitch before a European qualifier in 2015, the crowd for this behind-closed-doors contest in Rijeka was officially registered as zero.
And while there were 500 people present for the 0-0 Nations League draw[1] – including the media, team delegations, police officers, security staff and Uefa representatives – no family members were allowed inside Stadion HNK Rijeka.
That also meant an unusual evening for Jadon Sancho, who – aged 18 years and 201 days – became the second youngest player to make his England debut in a competitive international, behind only Duncan Edwards.
Quiz: Can you name Southgate’s England debutants?[2]
‘I would have loved for my family to have been here’
While Chilwell enjoyed the home comforts of Leicester’s King Power Stadium when making his England bow as a substitute in September against Switzerland, there is nothing quite like your full debut.
And, while he delivered an assured display that drew praise from manager Gareth Southgate, the only tinge of disappointment was the absence of those closest to him.
“I would have loved for my family to have been here to watch,” Chilwell, 21, told BBC Radio 5 live.
“I’m sure some of my mates would have flown out too. It is one of those things. They will have been watching at home.
“They got to watch it on TV and I spoke to them after the game and they were all very happy.
“It was a great moment, making my full debut. When I found out I was very happy and nervous.”
Special night for Sancho
<!–
Friday was also a special night for Borussia Dortmund’s Sancho, who left Manchester City in the summer of 2017 in an attempt to fast-track his career.
Barely six months have passed since he was lining up for England’s Under-19 side, but his strong start in the Bundesliga – he has become the leading provider of assists in Europe’s top five leagues – has enabled him to accelerate into Southgate’s senior plans.
Despite only coming on as a substitute for the final 12 minutes against Croatia, he made a positive impression, twice skipping past full-back Josip Pivaric and earning the highest score of any player on BBC Sport’s player rater.[3]
“There was no hesitation in bringing him on – we know he can have an impact on the game,” said Southgate. “When he did receive the ball, he was a threat.”
Sancho is the first outfield player to make an appearance for England while playing for an overseas club since David Beckham against Belarus in October 2009.
“I thought he made an impact,” said Three Lions captain Harry Kane. “He knows he’s got to keep working hard now and I’m sure he’ll do that.”

PREDIKSI Kroasia Vs Inggris: Tuan Rumah Hadapi Masa Transisi Sulit
PREDIKSI SUSUNAN PEMAIN Kroasia XI: Livakovic; Pivaric, Vida, Lovren, Jedvaj; Perisic, Rakitic, Kovacic, Modric, Rebic; Santini. Inggris XI; Pickford; Gomez, Stones, Maguire; Trippier, Winks, Henderson, Barkley, Rose; Kane, Sterling. Prediksi skor: Kroasia 0-2 Inggris Read the full article

Sinh vật từ Haunted Sea (Creature from the Haunted Sea) là một bộ phim kinh dị năm 1961 do Roger Corman đạo diễn.

The Mummy’s Ghost **1944, (Lon Chaney Jr, John Carradine, Robert Lowery, George Zucco, Ramsay Ames) – Classic Movie Review 3301
Lon Chaney Jnr reprises his role as Kharis the Mummy in this tired sequel to The Mummy’s Tomb (1942), to which it is virtually identical, bar some elements of plot being slightly swapped around. It is the second of Chaney Jnr’s three Mummy features, followed by The Mummy’s Curse (1944). It was filmed from August 23 to September 1 1943 but not released until June 30 1944 and it is copyrighted…
