–what i write mostly 18+, as per usual i'd say minors DNI, but i cannot control what the hell people do on the internet. what i can control is that i will not take requests from minors.
–if you dont know how to request, here is a general format:
•ship, dom/sub/vers, general plot & setting. and any specifics you rlly want targeted! (ex: age gap, different social class ranks, good girl/bad boy, psycho/doctor,yk.)
–do not repost, steal, copy, and/or plagarize my work. reblogging is completely fine though :)

Wanheda - THE 100 REWRITE Chapter Twenty
[THE 100 MASTERLIST]
Previous Chapter / Next Chapter
Summary: Ever since Clarke walked away from camp Arkadia, Bellamy, Michelle and the others had been looking everywhere for her, but they would never find her until she was ready to be found. They started hearing about a certain Wanheda after running into a bunch of Grounders during a mapping run outside the compound and things went downhill from there.
Words: 7.5k
Warnings: The 100 season 3 spoilers (episode 1 “Wanheda - Part 1″ & episode 2 “Wanheda - Part 2″), violence, blood, grief, head trauma
Bellamy grunted and groaned as he traded punches with Lincoln. He fell to the ground and got back up, hitting the grounder in the chest. The two young men made a demonstration of combat under the eyes of the teenagers of the Ark. In the last months, they regularly practiced to fight, under the teaching of Lincoln. Months. Michelle sighed at the thought that it had been 3 months already since Clarke left Camp Jaha, now named Arkadia, and disappeared from their radar. She had no idea where her best friend had gone off to and had to wait for her to resurface and come back. Murphy was sometimes on her mind as well. She wondered if they found this utopia that was the city of light, but she doubted that. She only hoped he was alive, somewhere. Leaning against the wall, arms crossed, standing a little behind the group watching Lincoln and Bellamy, she snapped out of her thoughts and her eyes drifted over his bare chest, detailing the bulging muscles of his body. She couldn't believe she would ever find Bellamy so attractive and yet a few months ago they had started to get closer. Purely physical at first, she felt her feelings for him change and get stronger, and for some reason she didn't even understand, she found herself pushing him away and distancing herself from him. She also wondered sometimes if the girlfriend he now had was to make her jealous, and let's say it did. Even if she refused to admit it.
She watched Bellamy get thrown over Lincoln shoulder and onto the ground while he held his punch back. The demonstration was over. He straightened up and turned to the group. Bellamy was still lying on the ground, catching his breath before getting on his feet.
“He had me, but he was too aggressive.” The crowd chuckled and the grounder looked at his opponent. The latter was putting on his t-shirt. “Quitting so soon?”
“Mapping run. Sector 7.”
“Harper, let’s get this over with.” She threw a bag at Lincoln, and he caught it effortlessly.
“The Council wants you to have that.”
“I’m Trikru.” He grabbed a uniform from inside the bag. It was a uniform worn by guards on the Ark.
“A uniform doesn’t change that. This is our home now, Lincoln. We fought for it. Too many of our friends died for it. On the Ark, the uniform meant something different. Down here, it means what we make it mean. Together.” He declared, pointing at the piece of clothing in his hand. “My sister will understand that eventually.”
“Pair up and fight. Now.” Lincoln instructed before following Bellamy to the bench. As they obeyed and began to practice on their own, Michelle fixed her gaze on Bellamy waiting for his talk with Lincoln to end so they could leave the training room. She wasn't staying to practice today, at least not yet. After the incident at Mount Weather, Abby told her to avoid physical effort for the next few months or the drill wound in her femur would never heal properly and though she was annoyed by this constraint, she couldn't go against it, and it made her team up with Bellamy less anyway since she didn't go on missions outside the camp. After a minute, Bellamy walked toward her and looked at her nodding his head towards the door as she followed him outside. They could both feel the awkwardness between them when they were together. It was palpable. But both acted like they didn't took notice of it, preferring to behave as if there was nothing between them. Bellamy probably thought that was what she wanted him to do, and it wasn't, but she felt like she couldn't tell him that. Their relationship was most definitely too weird now.
They walked in silence to a door, glancing at each other from the corner of their eyes when the other wasn't looking. Bellamy knocked and opened the door. Kane was standing in front of a sector map he had drawn on a board and motioned for them to be quiet and come forward. Abby was sleeping on a couch not far from them.
“It’s the Chancellor’s first sleep in two days.” He said quietly.
“I’ll be quick, then. We’re going into Sector 7. I think we should arm the entire unit.”
“Permission granted. But the rules of engagement still apply. Nonlethal response.”
“Copy that.” He proceeded to walk back to the door and leave when Kane called him.
“Bellamy… There hasn’t been an attack since Mount Weather. It’s three months. Our people believe that this is real peace. Try not to screw that up.”
“Yes, sir.” He nodded with a tight smile and turned around. Michelle was about to follow suit with him as she was supposed to accompany him on this mapping run this time around. Her father gently grabbed her arm.
“What? I can still go right? My leg feels fine.”
“Be careful.” She nodded, giving him a reassuring smile, and jogged to catch up with Bellamy down the hallway. Hearing her footsteps behind him, he took a peek over his shoulder, slowing down his pace and walked with her to search out Monty for the mapping run. The latter was sitting at a table when they arrived.
“Monty, why aren’t you ready?” Bellamy asked.
“I am. He’s not.” He simply said, glancing behind him. Bellamy and Michelle followed his gaze and saw Jasper sprawled on the ground, passed out drunk under a table. The three of them walked towards him. “What should we do?”
“We should leave him this time.”
“He’s not getting better. Maya’s death broke him.” He continued, concerned for his best friend. Insisting that he needed this, Bellamy exhaled. They each took an arm to help her up and Michelle sighed quietly before walking after them. The two sat him down when a voice reached their ears. Michelle glanced towards where it rose from and saw Gina, Bellamy's girlfriend. She couldn’t help but cross her arms, rolling her eyes and looking away when she saw them kiss, turning her head the opposite direction. She didn’t even try to hide her annoyance in front of Monty. He was a friend she could trust, there was no point in pretending she didn’t feel anything seeing him with her. She felt that he was looking at her and avoided his gaze.
“What is it?”
“Nothing.” He shrugged and walked away. She jumped at the chance to go further from Bellamy and Gina and accompanied him, leaving Jasper dozing off against the car.
“If you follow me then it’s not ‘nothing’, Michelle.” He grabbed a bucket and began to fill it with water. “I don’t understand what’s up with you and Bellamy.”
“Well, I don’t know… It’s just— It’s nothing.” She glanced at the car. Bellamy was busy with a bag near the vehicle, talking with Raven and Nate. He met her gaze and she looked away. Monty nodded and walked back to Jasper, taking their peers by surprise when he threw the bucket of water in his face. Michelle was kind of sad. He was a good friend but if she had Clarke to talk to it would be very different. Maybe she wouldn’t even have pushed Bellamy away in the first place and things wouldn’t be like this. She couldn’t blame Bellamy though. She showed him she liked him and when it got more serious, she stepped away without warning. He had probably been hurt by her gesture, but she couldn't do anything about it now. It was too late. She had to focus on helping them until they finally found Clarke.
“I’m sorry, was that too cold?” Jasper looked up at him through his eyebrows and started screaming as he slammed him against a wall. The sudden anger that had driven him seemed to leave and he let go of Monty. Bellamy walked up to him and gave him a bulletproof vest.
“No gun for you. Not until you’re sober.”
“Don’t want one.” Before walking away, he mimed a military salute and slightly slapped Bellamy's face, making him turn his head in reflex. Michelle watched for a few seconds, her arms hanging down at her sides before she decided to walk over to get a bulletproof vest and a gun, passing Bellamy without a glance. When he was his back to her, she looked at him getting a kiss from Gina before leaving and the two young women exchanged looks as Michelle got in the back of the rover next to Bellamy, while Raven and Jasper sat at the front.
“She’s too good for you.” Raven taunted.
“Shut up.”
“Careful. Monty might melt her.” Monty turned to Jasper, about to retort something but Bellamy stopped him.
“Raven… take us out.” She nodded and started the car. Nate closed the doors and the hangar door opened, revealing Octavia on horseback in front of the vehicle. They drove across Arkadia and followed her through the woods. Jasper had headphones on and started singing along the music he was listening to. Everyone in the car looked at him and Monty pulled the earphone out.
“No way. If you’re gonna ride shotgun, you can’t just disappear.” When Jasper went to connect his MP3 to the car system, Bellamy kept Monty from stopping him.
“It’s okay. It’s a long ride.” Quickly, Jasper began singing, joined by Raven and Nate who were enjoying the music. It was honestly not bad, but Michelle barely sketched a smile, letting her head rest against the wall, looking out the tiny, barred window on the back. She straightened up when she saw Jasper get up in the car and join them in the back to stick his head out the opening in the roof of the rover. The party was quickly over when the radar started bipping. Raven cut the music and made the car go to a halt.
“A tracking beacon from the Ark.” Monty exclaimed as he got on the passenger seat.
“Who is that?” Bellamy inquired.
“Farm Station.”
“After four months? How?” Nate wondered, glancing at Bellamy.
“We’ll find out. Where are they?” The car doors opened on Octavia, asking if she had missed the party.
“Sector 8.” Monty added.
“That’s Ice Nation.” Michelle said, frowning.
“What about it”?
“The protocole says we go home. Let the Chancellor decide what to do next.” Raven explained.
“Screw protocole. The Chancellor’s not from Farm Station. Monty is. So is Miller’s boyfriend. It’s your call.” Bellamy looked at Monty and Miller, leaving them the choice of action on this one and Monty almost immidietaly agreed to it. Octavia closed the door and they left for the Ice Nation territory. Michelle knew this wasn’t a good idea and it would at some point go sideways, not that she felt bad for going against the orders they had been given but she was thinking about how her father told her to be careful and she was not doing that at all. Even though her leg was healing, she had been warned by Abby to go easy on it or the drill wounds into her bones would always and forever weaken the strength in her limb. The scar on her hand was still barely healed as well, prominent, and pinkish across her palm. She would never fully recover her mobility and strength in her hand as nerves had been severed but the upside to that was that she no longer felt anything in the palm of her hand, neither pain nor hot nor cold.
When the car stopped again, they all quickly got out. Michelle and Bellamy looked around the forest that stretched before them. The sun was hidden by the clouds as the day progressed and they were bathed in a dull whitish light.
“These woods must be the border.”
“So wher’s all the ice?” Jasper asked, walking nonchalantly.
“Much further north.” Octavia stepped next to her brother. “Azgeda stretches for 1,000 miles.”
“Good thing we only have to go 200 meters.” Monty was leaning over the GPS in his hands, not looking ahead of him. Bellamy stopped him in his tracks, reminding him of the rules. They couldn’t engage with lethal forces if they crossed path with people from the Ice Nation. Knowing these people weren’t the most peaceful, it was really a rule setting them up for danger.
“Tight formation on my command. Raven, you stay in the rover.”
“We need every gun we’ve got.” Octavia then declared. As Monty watched the progression of the beam on the radar, telling them how much closer the people were getting, Michelle stared in front of her, holding her gun secured in her grip. Her scarred hand supported the barrel of the weapon. None of them moved a finger. Bellamy held his gun up, getting ready to fire, just in case.
“They’re our people. What are you—”
“We hope they’re our people.” On Bellamy’s command, they all aimed as they saw a bunch of horses coming towards them.
“Ice Nation?”
“Yes. White war paint.” She confirmed her brother’s question. There were three of them, on horses as white as the paint on their faces. Bellamy and the others lowered their guns. Octavia quietly advised them to stay calm and she raised her hands in peace as she approached the riders. They began to speak in trigedasleng. “They think we’re looking for Wanheda.”
“Who’s that?” Bellamy spoke for all of them when he asked this. Michelle frowned in confusion, wondering who it was and why it was even brought up. It must have a signification in their language, but they didn’t have the translation needed to understand. Even Octavia had no idea who that was. An Azgeda rider took a step towards her. Monty noticed a red light hanging from his bag. That was the beacon they had noticed on the radar. Out of the blue, Jasper walked up to them, ignoring Bellamy telling him to come back. He decided to act on his own at the worst time he could have chosen.
“Tell them we observe the Commander’s truce. Do it now.” Octavia hurried to do as her brother asked and she spoke in their language again, with a sense of urgency in her voice. They had to avoid losing control of the situation. Jasper straight up snatched the beacon, and the rider got a hold of him, holding a blade up to his neck. Michelle didn’t understand what he said after, but she made out the word wanheda again. Whoever that was, they were eager to find them. The two other riders bent their bows. Octavia seemingly tried to talk to them, but Jasper ruined any possible effort they could make and smiled as if he found the whole thing so funny. They never should have brought him on this run with them. He was too affected and messd up by what happened at Mount Weather and that had made him too reckless. His behavior was going to put them all at risk and of course things went downhill with the arrogant smile that grew on his face. The rider pressed the blade of his knife against the side of his throat, drawing blood and a shot was fired by each one of them until Bellamy ordered them to hold their fire, which they did but the two riders had fallen heavily from their mounts.
“Jasper, get down.” He kneeled and Octavia threw her machete at the last Azgedan standing, stabbing him neatly in the chest. The latter fell after stumbling. Just after the fight had ceased, they heard Kane's voice coming from the radio in the rover. It all got blew up in the first place because of Jasper. Michelle clenched her jaw, giving him a stare as she trotted around the car, her hand on the car door while Bellamy took the radio. Octavia took care of helping him up anyway. She leaned him against the vehicule while Miller got the aidkit out. As annoying as he was, he was still bleeding from his neck.
“We had to shoot three Ice Nation scouts.” There was no immediate response, so he insisted. “Culvert. Sector 4, copy. Will you tell me what’s going on?”
“When you get here. Out.”
“Sector 4? Why’s Kane so far outside the wall?” Michelle enquired, glancing at Raven standing beside her. It seemed like she was about to ask the exact same thing. He didn’t say anything and went to the others, shouting for them to get Jasper back home. They were knee-deep in a shit load of trouble because of his stupid behavior.
“Miller. Get one of their horses. Raven, since you can’t ride, you’re on the back. Monty, Michelle, you’re with me. Let’s go.” They all nodded to the instructions he gave them. While the others left on horseback, heading back to Camp Arkadia, Michelle, Monty and Bellamy climbed in the car and drove all the way to the entrance of a large tunnel. They jumped out and stayed on the look out.
“You were right about Jasper. Okay? Is that what you want me to say?”
“Quiet. Keep your eyes peeled. I could’ve said no.”
“He’s getting worse, isn’t he? I mean, getting drunk every night is one thing, but smiling with a knife to your throat, that’s next level damaged.”
“Exactly.” Michelle said quietly, staring ahead of her as she saw movement in the dense bushes and trees in front of them. The tall figure of her father appeared, followed by someone. The three of them held their guns low.
“Who’s he with?”
“Indra. He must’ve told her we broke the truce.” Bellamy added before walking to meet them. “Sir, before you say anything, there was a good reason—”
“I’ll deal with that later. This is about Clarke.”
“Clarke?” Michelle’s face suddenly relaxed as she looked at him, her lips parted. She quickly shook off the puzzlement she felt and continued. “What about her?”
“She’s being hunted.” Indra stated with a serious tone.
“By who?” Monty asked.
“By everyone.”
“So, she’s Wanheda.” Michelle quickly figured the person the Azgedan scouts were looking for, and that they kept calling wanheda, was most likely Clarke herself. Even if it didn’t really made sense to her now, there was no other reasoning possible. Bellamy contained his shock but when he looked at her, he couldn’t hide it from her. Just by sharing a simple look, they knew they would both be ready to do anything to save Clarke, wherever she might be and their shared love for her brought them together no matter what state their relationship was in. Even if they happened to hate each other, they would still be prepared to team up. Fortunately enough, they did not in fact hate each other. It was rather the opposite.
With Monty at the wheel, Michelle climbed in the back with the two newcomers, sitting next to her father as they drove through the forest. Indra seemed disconcerted and made uneasy by the tremors of the vehicle when a wheel hit a pothole in the road.
“I’m still getting used to it myself.” Kane admitted sofly.
“Sir, we’re almost out of range. Are you sure you don’t wanna tell the Chancellor?”
“I’m sure.” He told Monty. “I don’t wanna worry Abby until we know something.”
“We know there is a kill order. You people are big on those.”
“It’s not a kill order. It’s a bounty.” Indra corrected. “Clarke’s a symbol. She’s known as Wanheda. Seems like Michelle was the first to make the connection.”
“What does Wanheda means?” Michelle leaned on her knees, clasping her hands together. Indra turned her head towards her, silent for a second.
“It means, Commander of Death.”
“The Ice Nation guys we killed asked about Wanheda. They’re looking for Clarke. Why?” Bellamy spoke.
“My people believe that when you kill someone, you get their power. Kill Wanheda and you command death.”
“She’s just one girl.” Michelle glanced at her father as she straightened up and listened quietly. Maybe it wasn’t a kill order that Clarke was the target of but all in all, she would end up killed by someone. They had to do something to prevent that.
“So was the Commander. What Clarke did at Mount Weather weakened her. The Ice Nation is emboldened. Their Queen wants Clarke’s power. If her people believe she has it, she’ll break the coalition and start a war. I can’t let that happen.” A beeping noise started sounding at the front of the rover and Monty let them know they finally reached Sector 7. He asked where to go now and Indra’s voice rose again. “If she’s here, she’ll need supplies. We’ll start at the trading posts.”
Night fell quickly, and it was pitch-black outside with only the rover's headlights and moon as lights. It was silent too. Until Monty suddenly braked. Though unsettled and taken by surprised, Michelle was well seated and wouldn’t have fallen but Kane grabbed her arm. They looked out the windshield and saw the reason why Monty had stopped the car in the middle of nowhere. There was a large tree trunk lying across the road. They had to move it. Before Monty and Bellamy jumped out the vehicle, Indra stopped them.
“It’s been cut down.” If that was the truth it would mean this was a set up to catch them the moment, they stepped out of the car. Of course, Bellamy doubted her word and stood through the moon roof to take a look. The silence that followed was brief. Another tree crashed to the ground and Bellamy ducked back into the car. Now they knew for sure that Indra was right.
“It’s been three hours. What are they waiting for?” Bellamy was growing impatient and annoyed at whoever was out there. The sun had risen outside and yet none of them could see anything to report around them, after they had now been stuck in the car the whole night.
“I say we make a run for it.”
“No. That’s what they want us to do.” Kane disagreed with Monty as he looked out the rear doors window. But if they couln’t go outside, there wasn’t many things they could do. Indra argued.
“The boy is right. They can wait longer than we can.”
“Okay, Bellamy. You get in the turret, and you cover us. Once we get to that ridge over ther, we’ll cover you.”
“Copy that. Run fast.” He stood up, opening the roof and they tightened their grip on their guns when he let them know that the people prying on them were already here. A man's muffled voice ordered them out, or maybe Bellamy did. The latter was pulled out the vehicle. Kane and Michelle exclaimed in surprise when he was lifted out the rover. They let go of their weapons, with Indra reluctantly doing the same. The metal of her sword clanged as it fell. The moment the door’s handle was turned down, they were pulled out the car violently and thrown on the ground in a concert of gruntings before being all pinned down. Her head held against the dirt, Michelle’s eyes swept over the people around them and watched two of them make Monty stand up. One snatched the beacon from him. He yelled to get it back, but Bellamy called out to him, and a masked woman picked up on his name. It was his mother. The woman took off her mask and drew her son into a hug. It was clear how relieved she was to have found him alive and well, safe and sound.
Michelle looked away, swallowing harshly. It was a sweet and sour sight for her as it only reminded her that her own mother was gone. She would never have the chance to experience such a moment and could only be reunited with her in death, but she was barely 18 so if she played smart at survival, she would still live for quite a while. Knowing that she would never see her mother ever again in this lifetime hurt her in ways she never imagined. She could feel this gaping hole in her heart that would never be filled again. The loss of her mother was still so fresh too. It was an open wound that felt like it would never heal but at least she had found another parent, although she would have preferred to have her mother as well as her father by her side. She blinked heavily to force the tear blurring her sight to fall and roll down her cheek while Monty hugged his mother in a tight embrace, sobbing.
“Pike?”
“You have no idea how good it is to see you.” He declared laughing and with a big smile on his face, holding out his hand to help him up. Michelle and Bellamy kind of glanced at each other as they were still pinned to the ground, a blade to their throats. “Lacroix, Smith, watch our six. Everyeon else, I said stand down.”
The man holding her down released her and she rolled on her back, leaning on her elbow to sit up. She caught her father's gaze as she furtively wiped away the tear and she took the hand he offered to help her up in turn. He gave her a compassionate and fatherly look, putting a comforting hand at the back of her head, softly stroking her hair with his thumb. He didn’t need to do much thinking to understand why she had gotten teary. There was a hint of sadness in his eyes too as he looked at her. His hand slid to her shoulders as they looked towards Monty and his mother. The latter spun around, looking for someone.
“Where’s dad?”
“Your father didn’t make it.” After a second of heavy silence, they stepped into a hug. Michelle watched them for a moment while Kane addressed Pike.
“How many of you are there?”
“63. The rest are camped in the mountains north of here.” He raised his voice, talking to the survivors around him, drawing Michelle's attention back to him. “Grounders killers one and all. Am I right?”
They joined into a yelling cry, and it got Michelle frowning. Her judging and defying stare got him looking directly at her. He squinted his eyes and started observing the proximity there was between Kane and her. She had forgotten but it was true that no one beside Abby had ever known she was Kane’s child. Her mother had always kept it a secret who the father of her kid was. Pointing a finger towards her, he parted his lips.
“Michelle Cartwig, right? I’d recognize that look of defiance anywhere. You always stared at me like this when I was teaching you.” She sketched a tight smile as he gave her a heavy pat on the shoulder that was meant to be friendly.
“Hate to cut this short. We gotta find Clarke.” Bellamy stepped in, unknowingly stopping this awkward interaction for Michelle. They had no time to waste on top of everything, so she didn’t need to be reminded that she always looked mad during Earth Skills lessons.
“Clarke Griffin?” He nodded. “If only all of my Earth Skills students were as good as her.”
“It’s good to see you, sir.” They shared a handshake, chuckling. Kane then asked for the tree to be moved from the road and Pike motioned for the rest of the Farm Station survivors to help them do so. Michelle knew she wouldn’t be of much help with the reduced strength of her hand, but she wanted to walk away from Pike. She had never liked people in position of authority and though the incident in which she spat at Kane, the news of the assault on a guard had spread all over the Ark. Monty joined Michelle and Bellamy “Are you okay?”
“I have to be.” They grunted as they bent over the trunk and proceeded to push it out of the way together. It didn’t take them much time to get things done and they walked back to the others.
“Kane, it’s time to go.” After Bellamy called out to him, the councilman instructed Monty to give the coordinates to Arkadia so they could go there on their own while they looked for Clarke’s whereabouts.
When they arrived at the trading post, they heard noises of commotion in the building. Bellamy walked through the door first and shot the guy attacking the worker inside. She stood up in panic, stumbling as she found her footing, her face covered in blood as she watched them enter. Indra checked out the dead grounder, telling the group that it was a bounty hunter. He must have been after Clarke like everyone else they crossed paths with until now. She talked to the woman in their language and Michelle frowned at Pike when he insisted that they converse in English, for no reason. Kane told him to go search the perimeter with Monty and his mother, to make sure there was no one else lurking around the area. It was easy to tell that in the future, Pike would be a pain in the ass. There was a reason why Michelle had never been very obeidient and nice when he was her teacher. She didn’t like the guy. Watching him walk out, she turned back to Indra who had resumed talking. From what she gathered; she told her they were looking for Wanheda but she seemed wary to speak
“Please. She’s in danger.” Bellamy said.
“You’re Skaikru?” Finding this out seemed to loosen her tongue a bit. “She was here last night.”
“Did she say where she was going?” Kane stepped forward.
“No. She was here when I fell asleep, and gone when I woke up.”
“She gave you any indication of where she might go?”
“No. But he did. He said that his partner came back for her. It was Ice Nation.” Bellamy, Kane and Michelle shared a glance. They had already had a run in with Ice Nation people before. It didn't look good. Monty walked back inside. They all turned to him.
“Good news. I found fresh tracks.”
“Great. Start the Rover.”
“That’s the bad news.” He looked at Bellamy. “Too many trees. We have to go on foot.”
Michelle let the others out first and turned when she heard the woman's voice behind her. “I hope you find her.” She gave her a strong nod before following suit and joining her peers outside. They had to track down Clarke before anything bad happened to her because it would if they wasted too much time. Coming out of the forest, they crossed a large field, on the lookout. Being in such a big and open place was almost less reassuring than being in a crowded forest. There was no way for them to know if someone was watching them from the treetops or following them around in the high grass. As they walked, Michelle heard the others talk behind her and Kane until Indra, who had stopped in her tracks, asked them to be quiet as she looked in the distance. Maybe she had spotted something.
“Listen.”
“War drums.” Kane noted. Michelle looked around and she heard them too. Now that she has pointed it out. She just noticed the consistency of the rumbling sound going on in the background.
“Azgeda.”
“You can tell it’s Ice Nation from the sound?” Monty was puzzled.
“No. From them.” They followed her gaze and saw the bodies lying around. Michelle counted three of them dead.
“We need to get those bodies off the field. Unless you’re good with them thinking we did this.” Kane dropped to one knee; his weapon raised in front of him. The others ran to the bodies to get them off the field because on that one Pike was right, they couldn’t afford to have Azgeda think they killed some of their own. Michelle went along with the others, jogging towards the corpses when Bellamy saw people coming. He looked through the precision scope of his firearm.
“It’s Clarke.” Michelle froze and turned to him. They had been running after her the whole day, looking for her everywhere for months and she was right here and there on the very same field in which they stood. He started running but Pike stopped him in his course. She jogged towards them as the young man shouted for him to get out of his way.
“You’ll never make it in time.”
“He’s right. Look.” Bellamy listened to Monty and looked through the scope again. Michelle did the same and noticed the Azgedan troops marching out of the forest. She then resumed approaching the three of them. “No way we’d get across without being seen.”
“We should lay low, let the army pass. Then we find Clarke.” Michelle looked down, thinking. She wasn’t so in on just waiting it out. If they did so, they would lose their opportunity to get Clarke while she was there. She could tell Bellamy wasn’t so happy about what Pike was telling them they should do right now.
“Guys, there’s a cave.” Monty then showed them a dark opening in the trees.
“I can’t go with you.” Indra declared.
“Why?” Kane looked up at her as he was kneeling beside one of the bodies. He stood back up while the rest of them took care of dragging the body out of the open field.
“Ice Nation has crossed the border. They’re marching against my commander. I have to warn her.”
“We’ll get Clarke.”
“You better. If the Ice Queen gets her first, she’ll be dead. And we’ll be at war.” She warned before leaving them. They carried the bodies into the cave and waited. Michelle leaned against the wall, behind her father as the later stood with Pike and watched Bellamy pacing, constantly looking outside. She felt as restless as him, tapping her foot on the ground but for the time being, she got herself to focus on her hand to distract herself. She ran her thumb along the scar that barred her hand, scraping her fingernail on the tissue but because nerves had gotten severed, she felt nothing and could barely flex her fingers. She used her good hand to force it to close it into a fist, but she couldn’t hold it in that position for very long. She looked up when Bellamy came up to them.
“We’re losing her.” He said, anxious.
“Relax. Save your energy.”
“Kane’s right, son. The army will move soon. You’ll need your strength for what comes next.” He reluctantly gave in and went near the entrance. Michelle let herself slide to the ground, sitting cross-legged, staring at her hand as she held it closed. For some reason, maybe out of pure boredom or to cope with how worried she felt, she grabbed a dry pine needle and started picking at her scar. She couldn't feel anything, so she didn't know if she was going too hard on it, but she didn't care and kept doing so until her father, who had sat on a large rock next to her, stopped her from hurting herself. She just looked up at him and sighed crossing her arms when Monty’s voice broke the heavy silence in the cave. He crouched in front of his mother.
“I need to know what happened.” Michelle watched him and gulped. It reminded her of when she was told how her own mother died following the bombing in the Ark. The thought that it was at that time, that with her last breath she told Kane he was Michelle’s father got her to purse her lips to keep them from quivering. When she lashed out at him, he already knew. It took a second for Monty’s mother to start telling him.
“We landed in the snow. Your father said it absorbed some of the impact. That’s why we survived. The snow looked so beautiful.” Her voice cracked as she started sobbing and she called Pike’s name so he would continue telling Monty the story for her. Michelle stood up and Kane scooted over so she could sit beside him.
“The children were playing in it. They were the first to die. 15 of them.” Michelle tilted her face forward as she leaned on her knees, running her thumb up and down her scar. What hearing the tragic story made her feel had nothing to do with what happened, but it led her to think of her mother, again. She pursed her lips as her hair fell over her face, hiding her fight against the rising tears. She held them back, closing her eyes for a second as her father gently stroked her back before putting his arm around her shoulders. She felt hesitation in his gesture but seeing that she wasn't pushing him away, he held her close. “If not for your father, would have been more. He pulled four kids back into the ship. All four alive today. They got him when he went back for the fifth. Your father died a hero, Monty. We’ve been fighting Grounders ever since.”
“That was the Ice Nation.” Pike turned his head to Kane. “Not all Grounders are the same.”
“They are to me.” His response sure put an end to the conversation. He was so stubborn with his view and opinion on Grounders that it would have been impossible for anyone to convince him of the opposite.
Afterwards, Monty began to explain how they got out of Mount-Weather. Michelle sighed and stood up to stretch her legs. She had noticed Bellamy eyeing the bodies on the ground and one look suffised for them to read each other’s mind. Neither of them was willing to wait any longer before going after Clarke and if they really waited for the army to pass, it would take a while. Behind the backs of the other four who were all too busy listening to Monty, they stole clothing and masks from the dead Grounders and slipped among the troops outside. They stayed very close to each other and behaved as if they belonged in this army. At some point, another warrior came face to face with Bellamy and they stared at each other before he grabbed his shoulders and turned him in the right direction. Michelle stared straight ahead with a conviction she knew was fake and followed suit. The Grounder then walked past them, yelling commands to the others. Once he was a few feet away, his back turned to them, Michelle nodded to Bellamy, and they continued their way in the direction they had seen their friend last. Once in the forest, they removed mask and hood and saw blood at an entrance with stairs sinking into the ground. Pulling out their knives, they glared at each other, and Michelle let Bellamy take the lead. They took careful steps and looked around from where they stood until they noticed someone tied to a pole. They could only see the hands on the sides, so they approached and found Clarke. They were both so relieved that they smiled but as he pulled down the gag in her mouth, she shouted to warn them, but someone came out of the shadows behind Michelle and grabbed her forcefully. She struggled, and as Bellamy raised his knife to attack, the man brought the blade to her throat to dissuade him.
“No, please. Please don’t. I’ll do anything. I’ll stop fighting. Just please, don’t kill her.” Clarke begged him to spare her, her voice getting shaky. Michelle let out a sigh of relieve when he released the blade from her throat but suddenly, he threw the knife at Bellamy, stabbing him in the leg, making him yell of pain as he fell to the ground and he threw Michelle against the wall, hitting her head. She swallowed harshly, rolling on her side. She didn’t lose consciousness but was disoriented and in pain as a sensation of odd warmth seized her head. She couldn’t hear or see what was happening around her as she tried to get up. It felt as if the world was spinning around her, leading her to stumble around and losing her balance only to catch herself on the pole to which Clarke was tied up a moment before except that both she and the man were now gone. The ringing in her ears eventually subdued and she saw Bellamy on the ground. She leaned on the pole, closing her eyes to try to cope with the searing headache she had and called out to him but when she tried to stand on her own and take a step towards him, she felt pulled in the opposite direction, her head spinning and caught herself on the pillar. She threw up but because she hadn't eaten anything since, they left for the mapping run yesterday, she had only bile to get out and it left her throat burning and feeling sore. She took a few tottering steps and leaned forward on her knees, moaning.
“Michelle?” Hearing the worried tone of Bellamy's voice mixed with the pain from getting stabbed and knocked out, she managed to straighten up, stumbling a bit.
“Are you okay?” Her voice sounded castling. She cleared her throat and coughed, looking at the blood-soaked area around the wound on his leg. She helped him up, each leaning on the other for support. He groaned.
“Your head.” As she was about to dismiss his concerns because she had already noticed her head was hurting and acting up, she felt something get on her eye and went to rub it but looking at her hand she saw her fingers were tinged with red. Her head injury wasn't just vertigo and nausea, there was blood dripping on her forehead. She needed to get to Arkadia and get checked by Abby quickly in case of a concussion, but she downplayed it and shrugged. For now, they had to get out of here and she had to suck it up. She took a deep breath and tried to act as if she was completely fine, wiping the blood from his forehead. Her hair stuck to her temple. Maybe it would hide her head injury a little. They slowly climbed up the stairs, grunting and groaning, leaning on the walls and then the trees around them as they walked through the forest. After a few minutes, they heard Monty's voice calling their names and they slopped against a tree. Michelle let go of Bellamy and almost crashed to the ground, but he grabbed her waist and she stabilized herself.
“We told you to wait for the army to move.” Kane reached them, Pike and Monty’s mother were right behind the two, a little further away.
“What happened?” Monty looked them up and down, worried for his friends and Kane’s eyes landed on the wound on his leg.
“We almost had her.” Bellamy said, panting.
“Pike, find their trail.” He grabbed his daughter’s face in his hand, taking a closer look to her face after no doubt noticing a slight reddish tinge to his forehead or maybe she was bleeding again. It was probably more the latter given the urgency in his need to check on her. He ran his finger to brush the hair out of her face and found it stiff and sticking together with blood.
“It’s useless. He knows he’s being followed now.”
“Hey. You can’t even walk.” Kane stopped Bellamy as he tried to leave and because they were holding onto each other, Michelle was dragged along with him. He pushed him against the tree to keep him in place and despite all her efforts, Michelle let out a shaky moan, closing her eyes to get her head to stop spinning. She pushed Bellamy’s arm and sat on the ground, holding her head in her hands.
“So what? We give up? Let him kill her?” He groaned as he took a few steps, stopped by Monty trying to talk some sense into him. Michelle wanted to go after Clarke as bad as he did, but she couldn’t think straight, she couldn’t think at all without her head hurting like hell.
“We can’t lose Clarke!” She lifted her head, looking at Bellamy when he cried out. She tried to stand up on her own and her father kept her from falling over. He held her face in his hand as she closed her eyes, gulping. Throwing his gun over his back, he picked up Michelle and carried her in his arms despite her faint protests insisting that she could walk but he knew she might have a concussion and he wasn't ready to let her take any further risks. He would be mad at her when she wouldn't be bleeding anymore and could stand without closing her eyes.

Welcome to the World (Pt 19 of Pen Pals)
Author: @allthings-fantasy
Pairing: Bellamy x Reader
Author’s Notes: Sorry there’s no word count on this one! I normally type on word, but while I was finishing it up, it crashed on me. This required me to basically retype the entire thing on tumblr drafts. Literally never thought that this series was going to be this long but here we are! Also if I get anything wrong about the whole pregnancy timeline, my bad.
Part 18 MASTERLIST
8 Weeks
It’s been two weeks since Raven’s accident, two weeks since you found out you were pregnant. When you weren’t at work, you spent most of your time at Raven’s house. For the next few weeks she was confined to a wheel chair until her body recovered. A large brace wrapped around her leg, keeping everything aligned. Despite profusely telling you she didn’t need help, you insisted on staying.
Now it was Friday and you had a doctor’s appointment with your OBGYN. Bellamy insisted on coming to every appointment with you. According to the endless research you’ve been doing, the doctor should be able to show you the baby’s heartbeat.
You had come to terms with the fact that you’re going to get over the stirrups that left you completely exposed to whoever was in front of you. The white sheets hung over your legs as you glanced over at Bellamy with a small smile. You didn’t know how you were so lucky to have such an amazing guy.
A sharp knock at the door made both of your heads perk up. “Good morning, Ms Y/L/N. How are we doing today?” Doctor Morgan came through the door, flashing the two of you a thousand watt smile. Her short hair cropped her slender face. Kind brown eyes looked over the chart in her hand. “Any changes lately?” Bellamy stifled a laugh while you nodded your head. She smirked and glanced between the two of you. “Care to share?”
“I can’t eat peanut butter anymore.” Your nose wrinkled just at the thought of it, a small wave of nausea washing through you. “I don’t experience morning sickness that often yet, just here and there. But the cravings are starting to become a real thing.”
This time Bellamy couldn’t hold his small laugh back anymore. “She asked me to go get pickles and chocolate bars at midnight the other night.” He raised an eyebrow at you, a small blush forming over your cheeks.
She stifled a laugh and nodded before setting her chart down on the table. “Well that is to be expected. The cravings will probably start getting worse, so make sure you’re getting exercise when you can.” Morgan shot a smile at the two of you and sat down on the stool beside the table you were on. “Let’s get started, shall we?”
For a little while no one talked. The entire room was filled with the shallow hum of the ultrasound machine. Bellamy’s fingers aimlessly ran up and down your arm. The nerves that filled your body the first time you were in this chair were no longer here. That feeling was replaced by anxiousness. You were anxious to hear your baby’s heartbeat, even excited.
Suddenly, the hum wasn’t the only sound in the room. A deep thumping sound hit your ears, like the beat of a raspy drum. “And that... is your baby’s heartbeat.” You couldn’t describe the feeling running though you. It suddenly became so real. There was an actual person inside of you.
Bellamy’s hand squeezing yours brought you out of your thoughts. A deep smile spread across his lips. It was impossible not to smile back at him. A cheek aching grin broke out on your face as your vision blurred.
11 Weeks
Bellamy and you decided that it was time to tell your parents that the two of you were having a baby. The two of you had a bet who was going to squeal louder, your mom or Octavia. When you had told O, you were sure your eardrums were going to burst. You’ve never been hugged tighter in your entire life. She was so excited to be an aunt.
Two two of you sat across from your parents, enjoying the lunch that your mother made for the four of you. “So, uh, guys we have something to share.” Your leg bounced in anticipation, chewing on your bottom lip.
Your father’s eyebrows furrowed as he took another large bite of his sandwich. “What is it sweetie?” He murmured through a mouth full of food.
“We’re having a baby!”
The squeal you were expecting never came. Your mom looked at you with an opened mouthed smile. She whipped her head to the side and smacked your dad on the shoulder. “You owe me $20!”
You glared between your mother and father in disbelief. “I’m sorry uh, what?”
She let out a chuckle and wiped the corner of her mouth with a napkin. “Oh honey, we’ve been betting on when you two would have a baby! I said it was going to be before you got married but your dad insisted it was going to be before!” She clapped her hands together and beamed between you and Bellamy. “I’m so happy for the two of you! I get to be a grandma!”
Your father wiped off his hands and took a large sip of his drink. “How far along are you?”
“I’m exactly eleven weeks today.” You smiled and leaned your head on Bellamy’s shoulder.
14 Weeks
You were officially into your second trimester. The past few weeks have been pretty rough on you and you were finally starting to feel better. This was the first time you went an entire week without throwing up. In all honesty, this was the best you’ve felt in months.
The bump forming on your front was growing every week. Your normal clothes no longer fit you anymore, you moved into maternity clothing. Every night before going to sleep, Bellamy would place a kiss on your forehead and finally on the globe of your stomach.
17 Weeks
You were beyond excited, you practically skipped across the parking lot to Bellamy’s car. “Guessing this was the news you wanted to hear?” Bellamy smirked over at you as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder.
Your head nodded eagerly, your hands resting against your growing bump. “You know this is what I was hoping for.”
He opened the door for you, helping you up into the Rover. You adjusted in the seat, pausing your movements for a moment when you felt something shift. For a second, you thought it was just because of your shuffling in the seat. But once you were still, it happened again.
You gasped at the sensation, marveling at the feeling of a tiny thump coming from inside of you. Your hands covered the spot on your stomach that was kicked, almost pleading for him to do it again. As soon as Bellamy opened his door you looked at him with wide eyes. “Bellamy! You have to feel this the baby’s kicking!”
Bell slammed his door shut, his large palms covering the expanse of your bulged stomach. As if the baby knew it was their father, they pushed out a mighty kick. He stared at your stomach in awe. “Hi baby boy.”
25 Weeks
Heartburn and leg cramps. That’s what summed up your life for the past couple days. Nights were practically impossible making it almost unbearable to sleep. Your doctor advised you to invest in a mommy yoga class to help with the cramps.
The office room in Bellamy’s apartment was slowly transforming into a nursery. Boxes of furniture sat inside the room, waiting to be assembled. The walls were painted a light grey color with baby blue accents. You both decided on dark mahogany wood for the crib, changing table, and dresser.
Your baby shower was in a few weeks, Octavia and your mother insisted on you having one. You wanted everything small and simple, but they wanted nothing but the biggest and the best.
31 Weeks
It was almost 9pm by the time you got home. The Rover was filled with gift bags and boxes of baby supplies, which you were grateful for. Your stomach was stretched to a size you didn’t even think was possible. Faint purple stretch marks started to form over the lower half of your stomach.
Pregnancy was starting to lose its charm. You were bloated and constantly uncomfortable. No matter how you moved, something was always pressing on something else, pushing one organ into the other. Your bladder and diaphragm got the worst of the abuse. You felt like you could barely walk into the kitchen without getting a little winded. Lord knows, the second you stand up your bladder is demanding to be emptied.
Bellamy took on the job as your professional shoe tier. You could barely see your toes, let alone tie shoes. Most of the days your feet were too swollen for actual shoes, flip flops were your new best friend.
37 Weeks
Your bump has dropped, resting deeper in your pelvis. Although it help your breathing, your bladder was taking one hell of a beating. Everything in the nursery was prepared to perfection. You had your overnight bag ready. Everything was ready, expect for the baby.
You felt bad for Bellamy, you knew he wanted to make you feel better, but there was nothing that could be done. You thought you were uncomfortable before, but it was nothing compared to this. And on top of everything, now you were starting to leak breast milk! No matter how many times you asked, it was impossible for your doctor to induce you early.
41 Weeks
“Uh, Bell!” You stood in the kitchen, eyes wide and mouth agape as your stared down at your pants. “Bell!”
His hurried footsteps thundered down the hall as Bellamy skidded into view. “What is it?! Are you o- Oh my god it’s happening!” You watched as his eyes dropped down to the wet spot forming in the front of your pants.
“It’s happening!” You half laughed at Bellamy’s bewildered expression. His hands went into his hair.
Bell huffed and in three quick strides he was in front of you. His large hands reached over to cup your face before placing a sweet kiss on your lips.”Ready to have a baby?”
Everything after that moved in a blur. Bellamy ran to grab your bag and a new pair of pants before making your way out to his car. The two of you limped into the front doors of the hospital where you were met with a nurse that had a wheelchair.
In the matter of ten minutes you were changed into a gown, hooked up to an IV. There were nurses and doctors all over you. Everything was moving so fast, you felt like you couldn’t catch your breath.
Bellamy left the room for a little bit to call both of your families, telling them the news. It was past midnight but you knew everyone was going to on their ways in a matter of minutes.
In the beginning, your contractions weren’t that bad. They simply felt like a cramp, but they took a wrong turn fast. Your hand one hand squeezed Bell’s while the other gripped the bar beside the bed. Everything inside of your clenched as you threw your head back, a deep whine leaving your lips.
The contractions were only three minutes apart now, you were 9 centimeters dilated, it would happen any time now. Thankfully, you were given an epidural, making the contractions easier to deal with.
When the doctor told you to push, it felt like nothing was happening. You kept pushing, trying to remember your breathing from those classes that your mother advised you to take. Bellamy was now in scrubs, standing beside you as he told you words of encouragement between your screams.
Finally, all the pressure went away. You felt empty, deflated. Your head rested back against the pillow as your eyes shut for a few seconds, your body going limp from exhaustion.
Then, you heard a sound. A sweet, loud cry filled your ears. Bellamy had tears in his eyes when you looked up at him, then to the nurse walking over to you. She had a large smile on her mouth when she handed you the bundle in her arms.
The second you laid eyes on your baby, you cried. Tears poured uncontrollably from your eyes, never before have you felt overcome with such emotion, such love. Bellamy placed a kissed to the crown of your head before running a finger over the baby’s hand. He was so small, and he was all yours.
The baby was now cleaned off, a brand new blanket wrapped around your baby’s frame. He rested in your arms, sleeping. Bellamy sat beside you on the bed, keeping his hand on the child’s stomach. He was born 7 pounds and 4 ounces, 20 inches long.
“Do you have a name yet?” The doctor glanced between the two of you.
You nodded and smiled down at your baby. “Daniel... Daniel Michael Blake.”
She nodded and scribbled it down on a piece of paper. “Well, welcome to the world Daniel Blake.”

'Isn't it such a lovely day outside?' Josephine inhaled the fresh air whilst holding onto my hands that were tied up. 'If it weren't for this whole royal blood thing, we could totally have a picnic together.'
'With all due expect, I'll pass the invitation.' We were held against our will from Russell and his guards to guide them to our ship. I wasn't in a playful mood at all, especially when Emori and John were on their side now.
The two walked alongside Russell up front as we marched back to our ship, talking and having a casual conversation with him as if they didn't plot to kill him the night before.
Emori had threw us under the bus to save herself and John, I've never felt so betrayed. It hurt even more that John seemed okay with this, not doing anything to save us from Russell's insanity.
Josephine sighed, 'Come on. Bellamy has no chance with you after what he did and you and Murphy are practically broken up right?'
'I don't know, I have more important things to worry about. Like your homicidal father. And why do you know about what Bellamy did to me?'
'Abby told me. Emori helped me get through to her when I tried to find out how to get the royal blood. We started talking about you and-' She paused with a sad look on her face. 'She told me everything about everyone, spoke really nasty about you and how you're the reason why her life was a mess. Something about Marcus breaking up with her.'
I shook my head, crazy how I had to hear this from Josephine. Abby was never satisfied with anything, she was the one that made my life a living hell. 'She ruined her own fucking life, I didn't even know he broke up with her. He never told me.'
'Well, that's great. I have another competition going after you.'
'Marcus is family, more so my dad.' As I chuckled lightly watching her reaction, I asked her a question. 'Was talking to Emori and Abby the reason why you fooled some of our people?'
'Emori taught me how to be Clarke. It didn't help in the long run because eventually Murphy found out. Apparently I kept calling his "John".'
Madi walked up to me with a guard behind her, also holding onto her tied up hands. 'Y/N, why are you being friends with this murderer?'
'I'm not friends with her.'
'We're not?'
Turning around to face Josephine, I sighed. She curled her lips and nodded. 'I was only joking... kind of.'
'Well, Clarke is dead and nothing is a joke about that.' Madi implied, glaring at Josephine.
'Madi, remember it wasn't her that killed Clarke. It was Russell. She wasn't alive when everything happened so it's not necessarily her fault.'
'But she's a part of the clan that killed her.'
Oh, how I wish that I could just sit next to her and comfort her. I couldn't imagine how she felt when she was told that Clarke was gone from her life forever.
She reminded me of my younger self, how broken I was after my parents had passed. Even with the abuse that I went through, I was sad that my mother was gone.
The difference between us was that Clarke was with her the whole time. It hurt me that Madi lost someone so dear to her heart and she had no time to grieve.
'We shouldn't associate a person just because they're in the same clan. Miller was Wonkru but he was no where near bad as I was. Matter of fact, he was one of the very few people that didn't lose himself.'
Madi kept her head down, couldn't quite tell if she was feeling sad or not but I didn't want to pry. 'I'm no Clarke but if you need someone to talk to about anything, I'm here.'
She nodded her head up and down, not saying anything at all. I began to worry, hoping that she didn't suddenly feel sick. 'Are you okay Madi?'
'Yes, just a little headache. Some commanders in my head are distracting my thoughts.'
'Do you want me to call Gaia to help you? She's just walking a little ahead of us.'
'No, I'll be fine. Thank you Y/N.'
Josephine stared at Madi as she slowed down on pacing herself with us, eventually walking behind us. 'What's a commander?'
'Nothing.'
'You know Y/N, you should lighten up a little. It seems like you've been down since your little incident with Murphy.'
He wasn't the reason I was "down", I was angry at Emori and her selfish ways of selling us out just for some dumb mind drives. Was living for eternity so important, more important than any of our lives?
'It's not that, not that I need to owe you an explanation.'
'Ouch. I don't blame you for hating me though, my dad did kill this girl.'
'I don't hate you because you're his daughter. You're on the killer's side so I'm just hesitant.'
Josephine pouted, 'Aw. Even after our kiss?'
Miller butted in on our conversation, who was walking next to us. 'Kiss!? Y/N Reyes, you're such a player.'
'Shut up, Miller.' I rolled my eyes as he chuckled. 'Besides, she kissed me not the other way around.'
'Yeah, sure.'
Josephine was fairly nice to me, from what I've seen she wasn't a terrible person. Other than enabling John from getting hurt of course, even though that wasn't really her choice.
It would be great to have her on our side, having someone on the inside to help us get out of this mess. Especially her being Russell's daughter, there would be so much we can use against him but I highly doubt Josephine would take the route of betraying her family.
'We're here.' Russell signaled his armed guards to go in the ship as he whispered something into their ears. He then followed them inside after they've managed to open the ship, leading the rest of us inside.
'All clear.' Guards would yell as they invade our space, inspecting one hallway, one room at a time.
'What's going on?' I heard Jackson mumbling from the main area as the guards reached the last room. 'Why are you all here?'
Russell squeezed between his guards, 'We won't hurt you if you do as I say. All we want is for you guys to make the royal blood.'
'Don't do it.' Raven instantly gotten shoved as she spoke against Russell.
Jackson furrowed his brows as he saw Raven groan from pain, soon realizing something was odd. 'I-I don't know what you're talking about.'
'Just do as he says.' Emori jumped in, 'Make the nightblood and no one has to get hurt. Please.'
The rest of the room was silent, despite the old Wonkru people being there, standing behind Jackson. People were scared, I could sense their fear and confusion. I couldn't blame them, they'd thought that the next time we came back was to tell them our compound was ready.
Niylah walked next to Jackson, stared at Emori for a while. 'Why aren't you and Murphy tied up like the rest of them?'
'Can we just ask questions later, please?' John answered for her, 'Do we have everything we need to make the nightblood?'
'We do, once we fly this thing up.' Abby said as she was standing behind me, hands tied up also. 'I could make it, I just need access to the lab.'
Shaking my head, I turned around to Abby. 'You do realize you need Shaw to fly this ship up.'
A breath escaped Raven's mouth. 'Of course you have to drag him into this, Abby.'
'We don't have a choice right now.'
'There's always a fucking choice.' I yelled at her, 'Just like when we were at the bunker, there is always a choice. You are just too much of a pussy to make one.'
Russell let out a breathe, 'Abby. You come with me. The rest of you will stay in here.'
Murphy's POV;
The guards started to let go of everyone's restraints from their wrists, untying the ropes as they were finally free.
Bellamy immediately approached Y/N, worrying about her and asking questions regarding the situation. Perhaps they were plotting something, finding a way to stop Russell.
This had given me mixed feelings, feeling a little bit of guilt as Bellamy and Y/N have gotten closer. Echo was right, I have probably hurt Y/N for betraying her.
We've never talked about the morning she had told me she loved me either, not that it mattered anymore. Given the circumstances, she had probably forgotten about me already. I didn't blame her, I was the reason for us falling apart as it always was.
This also proved that I was right too, I should've killed Russell a long time ago. As soon as I was free from him, I should've ended everything. Instead Emori made a deal with him, made Y/N think that I was a part of this scheme.
Emori signaled me to come with her as Russell and his wife took Shaw and Abby with them out the room. I took a quick glance at Y/N, who was talking to Bellamy and her sister. I didn't want her to see me following Emori.
Walking quickly to avoid Y/N watching me, I exited the room with Emori. 'What's wrong? You don't agree with this all of the sudden?'
'I never agreed to this, Emori. We said we're going to get Russell at night, when he's sleeping. Not make a deal with him and get the rest of them in trouble.'
'You didn't care about Y/N's opinion but now all of the sudden you do?'
'That and this is different! Now she's held against her will where Russell can possibly kill her.' I held my head, pacing back and forth. 'Instead you got us on his side, I never wanted this.'
Emori held my hand, pulling me closer. 'John, don't you get it? I did this for you.'
'But I never wanted this. I just wan-'
'We can live forever, together. I got this damn mind drive just for you.'
I could see the sorrow and desperation in her eyes. This was all my fault, I broke her heart back at The Ring. Knowing how much she needed me, I decided to leave her.
It wasn't an easy choice to make. At The Ring, I still loved Y/N and believed that she was alive, hoping that Abby and Jackson somehow fixed her after she was exposed from radiation. Even though there was a possibility that I would never see her again, I couldn't be with Emori knowing that my heart belonged to someone else.
But that wasn't enough for Emori, I still hurt her. She would've rather had me fake it than leave her.
'John... why her, why not me?'
'I don't know, Emori. I loved you and I'll always love you. We had our great times but I'm in love with Y/N and I think I've always have been. I'm sorry I don't have an explanation for that.'
Emori shocked her head, it seemed like tears were falling but she was trying to hide it. 'Pathetic, you should've told me this when we broke up.'
'You walked away from me when I wanted to talk to you, don't blame this on me.'
'I just wanted you to fight for me. I'd thought that if I walked away, you'd realize what you had lost.'
The past few years, Emori acted as though the break up didn't hurt her. She was good at hiding it, I never thought that she was feeling this way. 'I'm sorry, Emori. I-I don't know what to say.'
‘It’s... fine. You’ve said enough.’ Emori walked away from me, left to the room where Russell, Simone, Shaw and Abby entered. Sighing, I went back to the room I came from.
Joining in their circle, Echo raised her eyebrows. ‘Your best friend, Russell went the other way Murphy.’
‘I’m not a part of this nor did I agree to this. I didn’t know Emori was going to make a deal with him.’
Talking quietly amongst ourselves, Y/N looked at me. ‘You are a part of it because you didn’t say shit to back us up. This is on you and Emori.’
'I thought you said not to associate them?' Madi looked up at Y/N, I didn't quite understand what she meant by that.
'Madi-' Y/N huffed and pulled her closer, whispering something in her ears.
It stung me that Y/N felt that way about me, there was anger and hatred behind her eyes as she looked at me. This was all my fault so she wasn’t to blame at all, although I was bothered that Emori had dragged me into this. It was the fact that I didn’t do anything about it.
‘Y/N, can we talk in private please?’
‘Do you seriously think now is a good time?’
Bellamy bit his lips and stared at the floor. I bet he was amused at this, watching Y/N and my relationship crumble down. Not only did it hurt me that Y/N was upset with me, Bellamy was getting too comfortable and that irritated me.
Raven looked at Y/N, then me. Her eyes said it all, "give her some space." I rolled my eyes, frustrated in myself and how stupid I've been the last few days.
'So later is now, Murphy. Are you going to answer my question?' Jackson had sensed Y/N wasn't happy with me, assuming that she didn't want to speak and instead changed the subject.
'Like I said earlier, Emori made a deal with Russell. I realize once that he had took everyone else except me and her, that she had some sort of new plan that involved me.'
Y/N's POV;
John irritated me. Just everything made me mad, it was betrayal and I felt as though he took his ex's side over mine. Not that I was more important, knowing that we didn't put a label on our relationship. I just expected more but perhaps I was overthinking.
He claimed that Emori orchestrated everything and I believed him, but I was still mad at him. Call me selfish but couldn't quite forgive him just yet.
I've even told Madi after she had tried to use my words against me; I simply told her that it was different. She replied back with "how?"
The girl was too smart because she was right, it wasn't different. I was too stubborn to admit to her and she knew that because she smirked back at me. She was quite the cheeky one, Clarke did something right for once.
'So back to the plan?' Miller ignored Murphy, 'How are we going to stop Russell from getting the nightblood?'
'There's only a few guards, we can easily take them.' Echo said.
'Yeah but if they fire their guns, it's over. Russell's going to find out we're resisting and can kill us. We need to find another way.' I replied back.
It would've been easy to take them down if it wasn't for their weapons, that'll notify Russell and all of our effort would be for nothing. Instead, I thought of a better plan; Something that can work but I needed this little one to agree with me.
As I looked over at Madi, I smiled. She crinkled her brows in response. 'What?'
'Are you up for a challenge? I think I have a plan that can work.'
'Of course, what do you want me to do?'
✤ · ✤ · ✤ · ✤ · ✤
'It's been a while since Madi had gone, you think she's okay?' Jackson whispered to us, trying to make sure the guards wouldn't hear us talking.
'She's led Wonkru through the gorge, she'll be fine.' Echo reassured us, not that I was worried. I trusted her with everything, especially with her helping us after Wonkru had fallen when Octavia and I fucked everything up.
Our plan was to have Madi crawl into a vent to get some of the criminals out to help us. Since the vent was too small for any of us to fit, she was a perfect candidate for this plan. Echo and Raven had a fake argument to distract the guards while we helped Madi into the vent.
It had been about fifteen minutes since then, waiting patiently for Madi to come back with help. John would look at me from time to time, figured he was trying to find the right timing to come to talk to me.
Of course I wanted to talk to him too, try to go back to how things were before but given the fact that we were in a life or death situation right now, I had to concentrate. Not only that but I was also feeling a bit of jealousy about him and Emori.
Not going to lie, that was main the reason why I didn’t want to talk to him just yet but I wasn't going to admit that.
‘How are you holding up?’ Bellamy scooted closer to me as I was leaning against the wall. ‘Still want to keep Russell alive?’
Raising my brows, I stared at him with a confusing look. He chuckled lightly. ‘I was kidding, sorry.’
‘You’re funny but Russell was not what I had in mind.’ There was no way I was going to tell him that it was John that crossed my mind, we didn't need a real argument to start at this moment.
‘Yeah I figured but I-I just didn’t know what to say to you. It felt like it had been so long since we had a decent conversation with each other.’
I had to admit, it was cute seeing Bellamy acting shy and awkward. Or maybe perhaps the argument that I had with John was making me see Bellamy in a different way again. I didn’t like it, the way my heart would switch between the two, it wasn’t fair for them and it sure as hell was not fair for me either. Already having so much to deal with, I didn’t want my love life to be more complicated than it already was.
Just as I was about to reply to Bellamy, a noise came from the electrical doorway that was locking us in. Everyone in the room including the guards turned to face that direction, getting ready for whoever was trying to come in.
After that noise was just pure silence, it was as if everyone was holding their breath. That wasn't until a few moments later, the door opened widely, revealing Madi and several armed criminals standing behind her.
‘Put down your weapons, it’s over.’ Madi walked in, ‘You shoot and you are all dead including your precious Primes.’
‘That’s my girl.’ I smiled, approaching Madi while the rest of the criminals worked their way to the guards, tying their hands with the ropes that were used on us earlier. 'Any signs of Russell?'
‘Nope, I don't think him and his wife suspected a thing.’ She grinned back, giving me a high five. ‘You are forgetting something though.’
‘What do you mean?’
She turned around and pointed behind her, where Marcus was standing by the door way with a huge smile on his face. He looked perfectly healthy, as if the surgery and the incident never happened. He waved his hand, greeting me. ‘Hey monkey.’
Instantly I ran off to hug him, jumping onto him as I wrapped my arms tightly around him. ‘Sorry, I know you’re hurt and all but I couldn’t help it.’
‘No, it’s fine.’ I felt his breath on my neck as he lightly laughed, ‘I don’t care about that at all. I’m just glad to see you again kiddo.’
Burying my face into his shoulder, I started to cry. With everything that was happening from Russell’s murder to my problems with Bellamy and John, I was so glad to see Marcus again. ‘I’m glad to see you too.’
He cupped my face, wiping the tears off my cheeks with his thumbs. 'We're going to help our people, together this time.'
It was nice to have Marcus back on his two feet, I was more happy that he was by my side this time. 'Sounds like a plan.'

Virago 35. Finally Justice
Summary: Y/N was sent to the ground after spending five years in the Skybox for stealing medical supplies and murder. How will she deal with her new environment and learn to survive on earth? Will she crack under the pressure of becoming a leader of the 100 or will she embrace it.
Post Date: 08.13.2021

Based off: 03x10 “Fallen

You all head back to the cave that you and Octavia had taken Bellamy to. “Where’s Lincoln?” Bellamy asks.
“Pike put a bullet in his brain,” Octavia says trying her hardest not to break down.
“O...O, I am so sorry,” Bellamy says right before Octavia connects her fist with his face. Bellamy doesn’t speak a word as Octavia continually lands punches on his face.
“Octavia, that’s enough,” Kane says.
“Kane, stay out of this,” Bellamy responds, accepting his fate. Octavia then begins to beat him even harder, letting out as much rage as possible. Even though Bellamy was the reason for Lincoln’s death, it wasn’t the easiest to watch his little sister punch him over and over again.
“Stop, that’s enough,” Miller says knowing the group couldn’t bear to standby. He tried to pull Octavia away but was just pushed back by a heartbroken and sobbing Octavia.
“Miller, back off,” Bellamy says. Octavia still punches her brother.
“You’re dead to me,” Octavia says to Bellamy before walking away to cool off. After everything seemed to have settled down, you all gather to make a plan on what the next steps are.
“I say, we run two-man patrols, round the clock, starting now.,” Bryan suggests.
“We’ll do that but we should be safe here. The grounder blockade’s too close for Pike to risk looking for us,” Kane says.
“Yeah, but are we safe from the blockade?” Bryan questions reasonably.
“As long as we stay on this side of the line, we should be,” Kane reassures.
“They’re grounders, you really think they’re gonna play by the rules?” Bryan asks.
“Hey, Pike will want you dead now, too. We take him out, we can go home,” Miller says.
“We take him out, then the grounders lift the blockade,” You add.
“That’s right. We become the 13th clan, again. Those were the terms.
“Lexa’s terms. If what Bellamy says is true and she’s dead, how do we know the next commander will honor them?” Sinclair asks.
“One problem at a time,” Kane answers.
“What about Clarke? With Lexa gone, she’s not safe at Polis,” Miller asks.
“Clarke made her choice,” You say.
“The only thing that matters now is killing Pike,” Octavia says breaking her silence.
“Octavia’s right. Once we resume our place in the commander’s coalition, Clarke will be safe, so how do we do it?” Kane asks you all.
“Bellamy, come in. It’s Monty, I’m in trouble. Please say you still have your radio,” You hear Monty say over the radio.
“If we respond and Pike’s listening--” Sinclair starts.
“We go to channel 7. ‘Please say you still have your radio.’ That’s seven words after the word “trouble.” It’s code, go to seven,” Bellamy interrupts. Everyone seems unsure until Kane gives the go-ahead to do so. Sinclair turns the radio to channel 7 and hands it to Kane.
“Bellamy, are you there?” Monty asks again.
“Monty, it’s Kane. What’s wrong?” Kane says answering for Bellamy.
“Pike knows that I helped you get out,” Monty says.
“Can you get to the dropship?” Kane asks.
“I think so,” He responds.
“Good. Go there, I’ll bring you in. Stay off the radio. Over and out,” Kane says.
“Hold on, what if it’s a trap and Pike’s waiting?” Harper asks.
“That’s why I’m going alone,” Kane says.
“Like hell you are,” Octavia protests.
“I agree with Octavia. That’s stupid and dangerous,” You say.
“I’m with Octavia and Y/N. Monty saved our lives. I’m going too,” Miller says.
“No, you’re not. If it is a trap, I’m not marching our entire insurgency into it,” Kane says.
“To stop me, you’re gonna have to kill me,” Octavia says.
“She hopes it’s a trap,” Bellamy says.
“He’s coming, too. We’ll need a hostage to trade for Monty,” Octavia says. Seeing as there is no way to convince Octavia otherwise, Kane agrees with her plan.
“He stays chained, gag him,” Kane says.
“Sir, with all due respect--” Miller starts.
“He’s the enemy. Do what I said,” Kane says, giving you no choice. You all then prepare to make your way to the dropship, but the rest stay behind in case.. Kane, Octavia, and Bellamy head into the opening as you hide.
“Monty?” Kane yells out, but no appearance or response.
“Get outside! Now!” Octavia yells after taking a hold of Bellamy. Soon enough Monty appears, but so does a gun behind his head with Pike holding it.
“He followed me. I’m sorry,” Monty says.
“Let him go, Pike,” Kane says.
“Can’t do that,” Pike says before a gunshot hits by their feet. You quickly look to see where it came from. “It’s over. Put down your weapons. Come on, Marcus,” Pike says and another bullet hits the ground by their feet. “I promised Monty’s mother that I’d bring him home alive. Don’t make me a liar,” Pike says. Kane then lowers his gun and tosses it away from himself. “Now, you,” Pike says to Octavia.
Octavia doesn’t obey and instead moves her machete to the front of Bellamy’s throat. Bellamy then takes her arm and wraps it around, not letting her get leverage and the rest of Pikes group comes out of into the clearing, handcuffing Octavia. Pike comes up to Bellamy, but they’re talking too quietly for you to hear.
“You son of a ---” Octavia yells as she’s hit with a baton after Bellamy says something.
“Sir. I found one more,” A man says as he pulls you out of the bushes. They don’t hesitate to handcuff you and bring you with the others. Bellamy leads the way back to the cave, with Pike’s people.
“Sure about the route?” Pike asks Bellamy. “We’re getting close to the blockade line,”
“That’s why Kane set up out here. He didn’t think we’d risk it,” Bellamy says.
“Well, he was wrong,” Pike responds.
“What’s gonna happen to my sister and Y/N? I know they have to answer for their crimes, but--” Bellay asks.
“I’ll tell you what. I’ll make you the same promise I made to Monty’s mother. But this will only apply to Octavia, Y/N still has to answer for her crimes. Immunity from all past actions, but if she screws up again--,” Pike says.
“Oh, she won’t. I’ll make sure of it. My sister, my responsibility. But what about Y/N’s punishment,” Bellamy says.
“I’ll have to talk to the rest. It depends on what all of her accusations are,” Pike says. Bellamy stays silent, you guess that he doesn’t know how to respond.
You all continue to trek through the forest getting closer and closer to the blockade. “Hold on,” Pike says, feeling like something is off.
“The cave’s just on the other side,” Bellamy says. You’re not exactly sure what he was planning, but you are awfully close to the blockade.
“Keep a sharp eye out,” Pike says to his men as Bellamy moves into the clearing. You and the rest of the group move gingerly into the clearing. Soon enough you hear a horn go off.
“The blockade. Anybody got eyes?” Pike yells.
“I got nothing,” A man says.
“Back to higher ground,” Pike says turning towards the hill.
“Drop your weapon,” Bellamy says taking Pikes handgun from his holster.
“What the hell are you doing?” Pike asks.
“Drop your weapon!” Bellamy yells. You notice Pike’s men starting to turn to hold their guns towards you, so you and Octavia fight back despite your hands being bound.
“We bring you Chancellor Pike of the Sky People. O, translate,” Bellamy says. Octavia pulls out her gag and translates.
“You’ve killed us all,” Pike says to Bellamy.
“Take him. Lift this blockade,” Bellamy says. Octavia translates and the archers take out Pike’s people, before coming in for an ambush. Octavia goes in to kill Pike, but Kane stops her.
Pike tries to go for Bellamy’s gun, but a grounder archer puts an arrow in his shoulder and another one knocks him out.
“Where are you taking him?” Kane asks and the grounders pick Pike up.
“To the new Commander,” The grounder says.
“May I join you?” Kane asks and shows his mark of the 13th clan. “We’re the 13th clan,”
“Don’t slow us down,” The man says and walks away.
“Are you sure? We know nothing about the new commander,” You ask.
“I’m sure. Go home. Tell our people what happened here. Tell Abby, I’ll look out for Clarke,” Kane says and heads off with the grounders after talking to Bellamy. The rest of you gather everything up and head back to Arkadia.
A/N: We’re back in the world of the 100. I hope you all enjoyed this part! I’m sorry if Y/N doesn’t have like a ton of parts right now, I’m trying to figure out what to exactly do with she/he/they during this time. Although, I do have a plan for later in the series.

Banished (Part 55)
~Banished Master~
Word Count: 4.7K
~Master~
*Based off episode 4x10 of the 100, Die All, Merrily*
*Bold/Italics are Trig!*
A/N: *same as last chapter*PLEASE READ! So, I’ve made the decision to go back to only writing the parts of the episode that Y/N’s in or parts I deem necessary. I’m just getting tired of writing out 10K parts and not hitting 100 notes. It’s too much work. I haven’t hit 100 notes for this series in a while. I can’t promise when the next update will be because it depends on the response I get to this one. Thanks everyone and thanks for being patient with me!
Previously...
“Lexa trained me in grounder combat.”
His eyes grew wide at your whispers. “No. That’s not an option.” He said before beginning to head back inside but you grabbed his arm.
“Bellamy.” You said, getting him to pause. He hesitated before turning to you, licking his lips out of worry. “We fight or we die.” You reminded him. Bellamy was about to object before you watched him furrow his brows, coming back to look over the ledge. You followed suit, trying to see what he was looking at before seeing a familiar face riding in on a horse. “Octavia?” you whispered, feeling Bellamy grip your hand tighter as he remembered the last he saw of his sister, running away from him for what he had hoped wasn’t forever.
Octavia stopped her horse when two men approached her, her eyes flying up to see you Bellamy looking down at her with two very different expressions. As the men got closer, her attention shifted and she got her mind back on track as she spoke to them. “I’m here for the war.”
No matter the outcome of this conclave, people were going to die. Whether it is your people or not, it wasn’t going to be good. You had been pacing back and forth in some random room in Polis, trying to set your mind straight. Your hands shook and you let your eyes close so you could focus on breathing, finding it hard to do so as you heard the chatter outside. People from every clan gathered around to watch the fighters accept their sigils to fight. Octavia would be one of those fighters, you’ve tried to get her to listen, but she’s refused.
Without waiting for your stress to eat you more, you left the room quickly, heading down to where you knew Octavia sat. People eyed you as you came outside, sending various glances your way but you couldn’t care, you just needed her to listen.
She was staring off at the ground when you entered. “You’re really going to do this? Risk your life for everyone?” She didn’t look at you, but you knew she was listening. You stepped towards her, clenching your fists. “O-“
“Why would you do it?” She asked, finally meeting your eyes. Your steps fell and you couldn’t give her an answer. Your people treated you like you were expendable. You wouldn’t be doing it for them.
You moved slowly, sitting next to her and looking ahead like she was. “If you do this,” you whispered, looking at her as she did the same, “If you do this, you win. Not for our people, not for me or Bellamy, win for you.” You took her hand, seeing her glance down briefly at them before she squeezed yours.
“I’m planning on it.” She assured you and you offered her a small smile before you could hear Gaia begin the ceremony outside. You took a deep breath, standing up, and looking at her. You didn’t say anything before turning to the door, not surprised to see Bellamy standing there. You pass him when you leave, pausing to look back at Octavia and to smile at him before leaving the siblings alone.
Clarke was standing outside as you walked out. You gave her a look but said nothing, just standing next to her. “You offered to switch places, didn’t you?” Clarke asked and you nodded. You were predictable, you didn’t want to risk Octavia’s life. Clarke put her hand on your shoulder before she was gone, heading to get Octavia.
You listened to Gaia, seeing other fighters get their sigils before Octavia walked past you with Clarke and Bellamy following right behind. The three of you followed Octavia, stopping to stand beside Kane and Jaha. “Octavia kom Skaikru, step forward,” Gaia shouted as you picked your head up, watching your best friend walk up to her and a necklace placed around her neck.
“She’ll be fine.” Clarke mumbled under her breath as you watched on, meeting Roan’s eyes, who stood next to Octavia before he looked away.
“Of course, she will.” You spoke harshly, feeling Bellamy’s eyes on you but you kept staring at Octavia. “She’s a warrior.” You swallowed thickly, trying to believe your words.
Gaia explained the rules, mainly to the participants, but everyone listened, know the fate of their lives lived in someone else’s hands. “We honor those who fall by the sword, but honor the one who yields it the best.” Gaia finished and no sooner than the words left her mouth did the last person you expect to show arrived.
“That would be me.” Luna, who no longer had a clan, wanted to fight. Everyone spun around at her voice, surprise striking everyone’s faces. Luna walked right between you and Clarke, almost hitting your shoulder with her walk as you pushed back into Bellamy, feeling his arms wrap around you instantly. She walked up on stage and stood before the flame keeper. “I’m Luna kom Flokru and I’m the last of my clan.”
“I know who you are.” Gaia snapped at her. “The Natblida who ran from her conclave.”
“I’m not running from this one.”
Despite Gaia’s disdain for Luna’s presence, she presented Luna with a sigil. “Accept this sigil, Luna kom Flokru, but with your clan gone, who will you fight for?
“I fight for no one.” Luna turned to the crowd as you all grew confused. “I fight for death!” She shouted and your stomach sank.
Murmurs set bout the crowd as Bellamy looked at you, pulling your attention off Luna. Luna held the vigil. “When I win, no one will be saved.”
Clarke grabbed your arm, tight with fear as you glanced around the now roaring crowd. “This isn’t good.”
---
To say you were nervous before the Conclave began was an understatement. You couldn’t keep your thoughts at bay as you stood with Kane, Bellamy, Clarke, and Jaha, each of you silently expressing your concern. Kane kept glancing at you, seeing you staring off, but he never said anything, knowing you wouldn’t want to talk to him.
“Skaikru.” Gaia called as she walked up behind you. “Three advisors to the Worgeda. The rest of you report to the safe zone, now.” You nodded, thanking her as she walked away before you took a deep breath.
“Come on,” Kane said as he looked between you and Bellamy, obviously knowing you two and he would be the ones going. “We have to get her ready.”
You nodded and turned to leave before Jaha grabbed Kane’s arm. “This conversation isn’t over.” He almost growled as you narrowed your eyes at him. “The death wave is coming and we’re risking the fate of our people on a blood sport?”
“The fate of everyone.” You cut in, getting his eyes on you. “You heard Luna.”
“She’s just one of 13.”
“You’re wrong.” Clarke helped you, knowing Kane wasn’t seeing what you both were. “She’s a nightblood novitiate, she’s trained in combat exactly like this.”
You nodded. Lexa trained you much like she was trained, much like Luna trained, you didn’t know what she was capable of. “You want us to cheat?” Bellamy asked as your eyes widened, glancing between them.
“No.” you tried not to yell, not wanting to attract outside attention to your group. “If we break the rules, we lose, and if we lose-“
“We die.” Kane finished for you.
Jaha scoffed. “The rules are not the problem, the game is. If we stop Luna and Octavia finds a way to win, does anyone truly believe that the grounders will accept Skaikru as the lone survivors?”
Everyone looked at you. “Yes.” You told them and Jaha groaned, finding lies in your words. “The conclave is sacred.” You assured them. “They will honor the winner and like it or not, we’re grounders now.” You turned to Clarke. “Get everyone to the safe zone. Bell, Kane, and I will get Octavia ready.”
She nodded and Jaha and she walked away, rounding your people to the safe zone. Kane left as well, heading to Octavia as you and Bellamy stood there. He watched Clarke leave. “She should go with you two.” He mumbled and you looked back at her before meeting his eyes.
“Are you crazy, Bell?” you asked, stepping closer to him and grabbing his hand.
“I wouldn’t know what to say to her.” He admitted with a sigh, squeezing your hand.
“You’re her brother, she’d want you there. Not being there when she’s about to fight for her life is worse than saying the wrong thing.” You offered him a soft smile and Bellamy nodded in agreement that he should be there. You pecked his cheek, getting ready to walk up with him before seeing Roan standing not far away, talking with some people. “Hey,” you said, getting Bellamy to stop walking. You threw a glance at Roan briefly as Bellamy’s eyes followed. “I’ll meet you up there?” Bellamy hesitated but nodded, watching you start over to Roan before he headed up the tower.
“Can I have a word?” You called out to Roan as he turned around, Echo too. “Alone?”
Roan didn’t command Echo to leave this time, obviously not trusting you since your attempt at becoming the commander. You didn’t push it. “What is it?”
“Luna can’t win. If she does, it's over for both of our people.”
“The time for alliances has passed. I’m fighting for my people today.”
He started to walk away but you spoke up, not letting him leave. “Can you beat her?”
“Of course, he can.” Echo snapped at you. “She bleeds like everyone else.”
“I wasn’t asking you.” you snapped back, narrowing your eyes as Echo and you glared at each other, a mutual hatred filling the air. You focused on Roan, seeing him glance between you both. “Can you beat her?” you asked again.
“I know it’s hard for you to accept that it’s over Y/N, but it’s over. You’ve made clear you have no respect for our traditions, but this tradition isn’t about respect. It’s about blood and if my blood spills here today and all hope is lost for my people, then I don't give a damn who ends up inside that bunker or if anyone does.”
He fell quiet and you just looked at him, disappointed in his words. “I guess that’s the difference between us, Roan.” You began with a shrug. “I want humanity to survive, even if it's not my people.” You started, not giving him another word. He watched you walk away and stop, turning to him. “Good luck today, Your Highness.” You spat the words out before you were gone, leaving Echo and Roan on the battlefield, unaware of the thoughts, much similar to ones of your own people, that were flooding Echo’s head and she followed Roan up the tower a few moments later.
You barely got into the prep room before the war drums were supposed to sound and you rushed over to Octavia, Kane, and Bellamy, seeing Octavia’s face soften. “You’re here.” She sighed out as you nodded and pulled her in for a hug.
“You thought I was going to miss my best friend fighting?” you asked her as you pulled away, seeing every other fighter head to their starting points. Kane patted Bellamy’s back, nodding to the side to give Octavia and you a moment. “Yu gonplei nou ste odon.” You whispered to her, squeezing her hands tightly. “Your fight isn’t over.” You repeated in English, knowing you were going to have to let her go. “You’re a warrior Octavia, so go out there and kick ass. I believe in you.” She smiled at you, letting you pull her in for a last hug before she had to go, the war drums sounding as everyone lined up to march to the battlefield. “May we meet again.” You mumbled and watched her go.
A pair of hands wrapped around your waist as you leaned back into Bellamy’s chest, twisting your head to look up at him with a sad face. “She’ll be fine.” Bellamy whispered but you knew he wasn’t fully believing himself. You turned fully, feeling his hands dip to your waist as you press your hand to his cheek.
“She’ll be fine.” You repeated his assurance before taking his hand, leading him to where Kane was waiting for you both.
Not knowing what was happening on the battlefield worried you beyond words. You wished you had been the one fighting. Your chance at survival might not have been much higher than Octavia’s, but at least you knew what was happening. This was torture. Octavia could dead this very second and you’d have no clue. Your leg bounced as you sat, thinking of anything you could as Bellamy stood next to you, wishing to calm you down but finding his nerves just as hard.
When Gaia came back from the balcony, you were on your feet immediately. “The first two champions have fallen.” She said and your hands grabbed Bellamy’s and Kane’s, not caring about your feelings towards the man as you all watched a Grounder walk to the clans who lost their chances in the bunker. “Gael Kom Ingranronakru,” she said as the clan’s fire was extinguished, “Yu gonplei ste odon.” Your heart sunk for the clan, but you couldn’t help the relief wash over you briefly before the next clan was revealed.
The man walked closer to you, right in your direction and you swore you stopped breathing. “Please don’t be her.” Bellamy’s voice cracked when he whispered, holding your hand tight as you leaned your head on his shoulder.
“Fio Kom Trikru,” Gaia said as you let out your shaky breath. “Yu gonplei ste odon.” The fire was put out.
“Oh my god.” You whispered, standing still with Bellamy and Kane. Bellamy pulled you in for a hug, burying his face in the crook of your neck as you held him close. “She’s still alive.” You said to him. “She’s still alive.”
Over his shoulder, you saw Indra and Gaia, both of them looking crestfallen for their fellow Trikru, as well as their chance at survival. You kept hugging Bellamy, seeing them hold each other well and you felt for them.
---
It never got easier with each mention of death and the fires dwindled to barely a few. 13 turned to 11 turned to 8 turned to 6 and soon it would be 1. “I’m gonna go lookout.” Bellamy told you, getting you out of your thoughts as you nodded at him, letting him go watch the conclave. You were seated on the side of the room, hearing the sadness of the fallen clans. Your eyes found Indra, standing off as well as you ventured over.
“I’m sorry about your champion.” You got her attention.
She looked at you for a moment before nodding. “Thank you.” She spoke, her eyes downcasted before glancing to the Skaikru flame, as bright as ever. “It seems Octavia is doing well.”
“You trained her. She’s a warrior because of you.” you said. She didn’t answer you, only watching the flame burn lightly. “Indra, if Octavia wins,” you began before stopping and taking a skipped breath, trying to find the words. “If Octavia wins, I want you to know you have a spot in the bunker. You and Gaia, it’s yours if you want it.” You knew making a promise like that was tricky, there was no assurance of room, but you needed to make it. You had to. Indra didn’t say anything, she didn’t have to, she just nodded and you took that as enough. Her arm reached out and you glance down at it, sharing a small smile before shaking it.
You headed out to the balcony, seeing Kane and Bellamy already there. “Any news?” you asked mere seconds before Gaia announced that Sangedakru is finished. Your face fell immediately.
Bellamy however looked confused. “What’s wrong?” Kane asked as you focused on Bellamy, putting a hand on his back.
“Blue cliff warrior just killed him with a bow. I saw it.” He said, his brows furrowing as you glanced to Kane, seeing him confused as well.
“I don’t get it.” You admitted, unsure of what’s making the men uneasy.
Bellamy enlightened you. “Kane and I saw her before the fight. She didn’t have the bow, she had two swords.”
“Maybe she picked the sword up.” You offered, trying to figure out what was happening. Bellamy pushed past you, however, returning inside as you and Kane followed. He looked around and shook his head. “What’s wrong?”
“Echo’s gone.” He said before taking off. Kane followed after him but you stood there, looking around the room and back at the balcony before following as well.
Kane was trying to stop Bellamy as you caught up in the hallway. “You don’t even know it’s her. It could be anyone down there.” Kane tried to reason.
“It’s Echo.” You told him, avoiding looking at them.
“How do you know?”
You looked to Bellamy, giving him a defeated look. “Because I think gave her the idea when I went to talk to Roan.” Bellamy’s face fell and you nodded, taking in your mistake. “I-I didn’t think she’d-“
“It’s okay.” Kane assured you, putting a hand on your shoulder and he was surprised when you didn’t push it off. “Gaia’s scouts will find her and Ice Nation will be punished.”
Bellamy wouldn’t hear of it. He started to leave before Kane grabbed his arm, keeping a hold on both of you. “They’ll never catch her,” Bellamy said, trying to get Kane to see. “Echo’s a spy, this is what she does.”
“You listen to me.” Kane said, using his authoritative voice you very rarely heard nowadays. It reminded you of when you were younger, watch Uncle Marcus on the Ark. “You get caught on that battlefield and we all pay the price. They'll execute Octavia, and all our people will be left to die.”
“If I am right, then Azgeda has two people in this fight, and we die anyway. And you think I should just stay here and do nothing?”
“No.” you spoke up, the gears turning in your head. “You wait until nightfall. No one will see you.” Bellamy hated leaving Echo out there, the possibility of her killing Octavia higher with every passing second but you were right. Nightfall was your best bet.
---
Nightfall couldn’t have come quicker, but unfortunately, you still needed to wait. There hadn’t been any reported deaths lately and it made your stomach knot. You needed to distract yourself. Luckily, or as much luck as you get, Kane was coming your way. “How are you holding up?” He asked as he took a seat on the ground next to you.
You shrugged, unsure really how you were holding up. This was terrifying. It was worse than when you were kidnapped by the grounders, at least then you knew what they were doing. Here you were in the dark. “I hate this.” You mumbled, dropping your head in your hands.
“I know. I do too.” He admitted, rubbing your back and you moved from his touch almost immediately, still mad at him. “Y/N-“
“The world’s ending Kane.” You cut him off. He nodded. “I’ll forgive you, I will, but not just like that. You betrayed the alliance that I risked everything for.” He swallowed as you stressed your words, trying to get him to see how bad it is. “I asked Roan if he could take Luna and he refused to side with Octavia fighting because of what you and Abby did.”
“I know.” He said and you scoffed, leaving it at that. Your conversation was interrupted by Gaia, announcing another clan’s demise, and no sooner than she had, did a woman start holding her fellow clanmate tight, crying out lightly for her son.
You couldn’t look away from the sight, watching the tears fall freely as your throat closed up. However, the scene reminded you of one thing, one thing that Kane might know the answer to. “Kane?” you whispered, tearing your eyes away to look at him, seeing his eyes become glassy before he met your eyes. He beckoned for you to continue and you hesitated.
You needed this. You needed answers.
“Did you know my father couldn’t have kids?” Kane’s face slowly fell. “Oh my god.” You whispered out of shock. He knew. “Oh my god!” You stood up, feeling your heart racing as you grabbed the wall, trying to get away from him but he just grabbed your arm.
“Y/N, wait.” He kept his voice low, glancing around and hoping no one was watching you both. You pushed him off, your hands shaking more than he’s ever seen as he let you go, following you as you rushed out of the room. “Y/N!” he called as you reached the hallway, running down it without any care. He ran after you, coming to a stop as you ended in an empty room and he watched you pace back and forth.
“You knew!” you yelled at him and your voice cracked and you clasped your eyes tight. You stopped moving, focusing on your breathing. Breathe in. Breathe out. Your hands clenched involuntarily as you fell onto the couch behind you your eyes slowly opening to see Kane moving slowly next to me. “How long have you known?” you tried your best to remain calm, but you didn’t know if you could.
“Since we sent you down to earth. I found a letter your mother had written to me before she passed.”
“Before she killed herself, you mean.” You corrected him and Kane reluctantly nodded.
“She told me everything in the letter.” He was staring off, remembering the small print your mother had left, telling him everything he needed to know, all on a little piece of paper.
“What else did it say?” You asked scared of the answer. If she told him everything, then there was more you didn’t know, and damn it, you needed to know. “Kane.”
“She told me,” he paused, reaching for your hand and without knowing any better, you let him take it. “I’m your father.”
His words died on your ears, your brain was suddenly unable to process anything as you looked at him, seeing the scared in his eyes as you shut down listening to him tell you how it all happened.
---
Bellamy had been looking for you and Kane since nightfall came minutes ago, but neither of you was to be seen. He was about to just leave, to go stop Echo without telling you and Kane before you came walking into the Throne Room, eyes red and wet and Bellamy was by your side in an instant. “What happened? Are you okay?” He wiped the tears from under your eyes as you nodded, meeting his eyes.
“I’m going with you.” you told him, licking your lips that were covered in stress bites from your teeth digging into them.
“What?” Bellamy asked, still concerned about you. “No, you should stay here, make sure nothing looks suspi-“
“I’m going with you.” you said with more force, and Bellamy’s mouth clamped shut, watching you glance over your shoulder to Kane who walked in at that moment, looking as bad as you had. “Please.” Bellamy had no idea what happened to you, but when your voice cracked, he wasn’t going to say no again.
The two of you snuck out as quickly and carefully as you could. You were in front of Bellamy, your knife drawn just in case as you led him around Polis. You were about to turn down a free corner before Bellamy grabbed your hand and you stopped, glancing back to see him pointing to Echo, donning a mask and her bow and arrow. You changed routes, heading to her position before stopping and pressing Bellamy and you flat against a wall.
A fighter from another clan had started to approach your position. Bellamy’s eyes found yours before he glanced off, seeing Luna approach and you both watched silently as Luna killed him faster than you ever could. You took a deep breath as his body fell and Luna walked away, using the moment to grab Bellamy and keep running.
You came upon Echo, hiding out in a building and firing arrows out a broken window. Her bow was drawn and she was amazing at Octavia through the window below. Bellamy went in first, opening the door and drawing her attention. Echo turned around, firing at the door before you rolled inside, keeping low as he knocked her down. You grabbed her bow off the ground as Bellamy jumped in, ripping her mask off her face and pinning her down, choking her in the process.
“Bellamy!” you whispered, about to help him before Roan appeared, knocking Bellamy off Echo. You were about to fight him, thinking he was another champion, or worse a scout before you realized.
“I should’ve known none of you could stay away.” He grumbled and pointed his sword at Bellamy and you as you helped him up. “I heard you all the way down the street. You're lucky I wasn't a scout.”
“We came to stop her.” Bellamy grumbled, pointing to Echo. Roan looked to you and you nodded.
His sword turned to Echo. “Explain yourself.”
“I was only trying to help save our people.” She tried to defend herself, using your plead from earlier as her point, just like you assumed.
“I am not my mother. I'm not willing to cast aside honor for power.”
She stepped forward, afraid of what her king would choose as her punishment. “No one has to know.”
“You misunderstand. I will not allow your dishonor to give Luna an advantage, and you will not shame our clan ever again.” You furrowed your brows, looking to Bellamy as you both watched them. You are Azgeda no more.” Your mouth fell open as Echo tried begging but he wouldn’t hear her out. “You're banished, Echo, and when I win this conclave--make no mistake-- there will be no place for you inside that bunker. Now get out of my sight, and off this battlefield without being seen, or know that you are the cause of the death of our people.” Echo, for once this night, listened and left without another word.
Roan turned to Bellamy and you. “I take it by your presence that Octavia's still alive.”
“That's right.”
Roan glare flickered between Bellamy and you, his sword separating the two of you from him. “If I call for a scout, she'll be executed right now,” he threatened. Bellamy grew tense next to you, but you knew Roan, he’d never take the fun way out. “but what fun would that be?” His eyes landed on you. “Besides, you still owe me that favor.”
“No, I don’t.” you stated simply, seeing Roan’s eyes narrow. “I’ve paid up already.”
“By what means?”
“Bellamy and I could’ve easily told Gaia and the scouts what Echo was doing. But we didn’t. Instead, we risked our lives and Octavia’s for you.”
You stood your ground, seeing the smirk on Roan’s face as he dropped her sword. “You two really think she can win, don't you?”
Bellamy and you shared a look, knowing exactly what Octavia’s capable of. “I wouldn't count her out if I were you.” Bellamy told him. “She's survived harder things than this.”
“Before she dies, I'll tell her she's lucky to have you as a brother.”
“I got a better idea.” Bellamy countered. “After she guts you and before you die, you tell her I was the lucky one.” You smiled at Bellamy, despite the situation you found yourself in. Octavia was going to win. You were sure of it.
---
Bellamy and you had to sneak back into the tower, which was easier said than down. You stayed together, looking around corners before the tower was in front of you. You were almost there. Bellamy and you shared successful looks, about to take a step forwards before a hand was placed over your mouth and nose. You started screaming for Bellamy, hitting whoever it was that had you before you slowly grew unconscious and fell into their arms, much like Bellamy had as well.
---
Your head was spinning as you came back but you ignored it. “Bellamy?” you gasped out before looking around, letting out a groan as you saw Bellamy wake up in a chair next to you, and Clarke and Jaha were leaning over a chair.
Bellamy and you slowly began to realize where you were. “What the hell did you do?” He asked them as you both stood up, Bellamy approaching them as you looked around the bunker.
“If only one clan could survive, It might as well be ours.” Jaha answered as you stood shocked.
“Clarke you agreed to this?” you didn’t want to believe it, that she would agree to a plan like this.
Until Jaha managed to render you speechless. “It was her idea.”
They chloroformed you both, took over the conclave, and left Kane, Octavia, Indra, and Gaia outside. “We did what we had to.”
Skaikru betrayed them all.

The Other Side
Part 1 - Word Count 2463
Crouched on her tree branch overlook, Y/N watched curiously as the group of five approached the cliff's edge. She was intrigued by these strangers, the first new people she had encountered since witnessing the ship crash.
The boy with long hair moved to grab the rope swing first but was interrupted by another wearing steampunk-looking goggles.
After a brief exchange, the long-haired boy moved back, now standing next to a pretty blonde girl. The four of them exchanged weary glances, silently communicating after they switched places.
The goggled boy backed up several paces, then sprinted forward with a leap, launching himself from the cliff. He swung out in a wide arc, whooping excitedly. At the apex of the swing, he released the rope and landed gracefully on the far ledge.
The group stood in silence watching before they erupted in shouts at the Mount Weather sign. She sat for a moment watching the pure joy of these strangers, hesitating, debating whether to reveal herself. Her curiosity was piqued, but she knew little of their motives or intentions.
The commander sent her down here to gather information with Lincoln, both splitting up as he stayed by their camp, performing a headcount.
Y/N was impressed by his bold daring. She studied the other four strangers, wondering about their origins. They appeared around her age, and wore weird clothing, the material all cobbled together. Perhaps they had banded together after some other disaster or tragedy.
Lexa wouldn’t like any of this, dread filled y/n and she reminded herself that they weren’t going to live long after she traveled back to the capital.
Lexa was stuck in the old ways, never straying from harsh and outdated rules placed by their grounder society. Not that Lexa could change anything, if she allowed these invaders to live, her people would see her as weak, and she couldn’t have that.
Y/N couldn't help but smile as she observed the scene from her hidden vantage point among the trees despite her thoughts.
In that fleeting moment, with their guard down, she saw only vibrant youth, not strangers to fear. She remained hidden for now, but hoped someday their paths might properly cross if fate worked in their favor.
But their happiness was short-lived, shattered by the sudden violence that erupted as a spear was hurled at the unsuspecting boy. His friends' screams pierced the air, echoing with terror. She quickly sprang into action, leaping down from the tree with a soft thump.
Her horse, sensing the distress, whinnied softly as she approached, offering a comforting presence in the midst of chaos. With a swift pat on his flank, both of them set off back to civilization.
With a final glance back at the scene unfolding behind her, Y/N urged her horse forward, their hooves pounding against the forest floor as they disappeared into the safety of the woods, leaving the invaders and their violence behind.
…
“Lincoln?” y/n called out, searching the brush for any sign of her friend. “Lincoln it’s me.” She continued, cupping her hands around her mouth.
There was no reply except for the sound of rustling leaves and the echo of his name. She sighed, weighing her options briefly before heading back to her horse, weaving through the twisted trunks and stomping over the bed of fallen leaves and twigs.
The sound of crunching filled the open space, quickly she grabbed her bow, notching an arrow before scanning the tree line again. Lincolns burly figure melted out from behind a massive oak, his face paint smeared haphazardly across his face from the sweat and heat.
“Lincoln!” she breathed out gratefully, loosening her grip on the bow before stepping forward to greet him. Lincoln stood before her, his calm gaze surveying her from beneath the hooded cloak draped over his shoulders. “I was starting to think you forgot I was coming.”
The barest hint of a smile played across the grounder’s lips. "I am well-versed in the ways of these woods.
It is you who makes noise like a stampeding gorilla." y/n rolled her eyes good naturedly at his teasing. “"Well? What did you see? Anything we should be concerned about?"
Lincoln's expression turned serious once more as he relayed his findings. “I counted about 100 of them. A blonde girl she’s their leader.”
After their discussion, Riss gave him a nod farewell. "I should get back before the Commander sends out a search party for me too." With that, she turned and headed back through the shadowy forest, leaving Lincoln to fade back into his camouflaged surroundings like a ghost.
Y/n strolled through the bustling streets of the capital, the cobblestones echoed with the rhythm of her determined steps.
Street vendors peddled their wares, their voices blending into a vibrant cacophony of commerce. The scent of sizzling street food tantalized her senses as she navigated her way through the throngs of people.
Approaching the imposing structure of the commander's building, she felt a surge of anticipation mingled with a hint of apprehension. "State your business," one of the guards demanded, his tone gruff.
She met his gaze with steely determination, her hand resting casually on the hilt of her hidden sword. "I seek an audience with the commander. It's a matter of utmost urgency."
The guards stationed at the entrance scrutinized her with suspicion until she presented the emblem of her authority.
The guard exchanged a wary glance with his companion before nodding reluctantly. "Very well, you may proceed."
With a satisfied smirk playing on her lips, she passed through the threshold and into the hallowed halls beyond, her gaze fixed on her objective: the commander's hall.
Her steps seemed to melt into the background noise of the bustling corridors, her presence almost unnoticed amidst the chatter. With purposeful strides, she approached the ornate door, its imposing frame a gateway to power and intrigue.
With a soft creak, the door swung open, and she stepped into the chamber, greeted by a gentle breeze that whispered through the open terrace door, ruffling her hair. "Commander," she greeted, her voice carrying respect.
Lexa, seated at the head of the room, smiled warmly, her gaze flickering with recognition. With a graceful gesture, she dismissed her companions, who filed out of the room one by one, leaving the two women alone to discuss matters of consequence.
"Ah, it's good to see you," she began, rising gracefully from her chair. The room seemed to hold its breath as she approached Lexa, her steps deliberate and purposeful.
"What brings you back so early?" Her voice was calm, but her eyes betrayed a flicker of curiosity.
As Y/N spoke, she couldn't help but notice the subtle tension that crept into the lines of Lexa's face. A furrow appeared between her brows, a silent question hanging in the air. Y/N pressed on, her own resolve mirrored in the unwavering gaze she held with Lexa.
"I spoke with Lincoln," she declared, her voice steady, each word carefully chosen. Lexa leaned forward, her expression a mix of anticipation and apprehension.
The silence stretched, broken only by the soft sound of Y/N's footsteps as she paced the room, the click of her boots echoing the rapid beat of her racing mind.
As she spoke of her findings, the space between them seemed to shrink, the distance bridged by shared secrets and unspoken truths. The dance of words and emotions played out in the quiet expanse of the room, a delicate balance of power and vulnerability.
Once she finished her account, Lexa rose from her seat. Y/N observed the subtle shift in her body language, noting the resolute set of her jaw and the firmness of her posture.
"Thank you for bringing this to my attention," Lexa said. "We must deal with these invaders if we are to protect our city from chaos."
…
Y/N rode on horseback through the lush, green woods, the earthy scent of pine filled her nostrils, mingling with the sweet fragrance of wildflowers.
The sunlight filtered through the forest canopy above, casting a warm, golden glow upon the trail as she journeyed down familiar paths - passing by small villages nestled amongst the trees.
She couldn't help but smile as she passed by, exchanging friendly nods with the villagers who went about their daily tasks. Y/n had been away from home for some time and was eager to return.
The steady clop of hooves marked the miles melting away as the trees thinned. She spotted her modest log cabin in the distance, its weathered exterior a welcoming sight against the backdrop of the forest.
Reaching the edge of the property, y/n hopped down from her steed, her boots sinking into the soft earth beneath her feet. With a gentle pat on her horse's neck, she released him to graze freely, knowing he would find his way back to the stable when he was ready.
Y/N took a moment to close her eyes and breathe deeply, cherishing the scent of pine and wildflowers. It was good to be back. She hitched up her pack and strode towards the front door, the familiar scent of aged wood enveloped her, a comforting embrace that welcomed her home.
Setting her pack aside, she moved with purpose to the corner where her woodworking bench stood. With practiced hands, she began to carve arrows, the rhythmic scrape of the blade against wood echoing in the cozy confines of the cabin.
the moonlight filtering through the canopy above cast eerie shadows on the forest floor. The night was still. Heading out into the night to gather firewood had become a routine for Y/N, a solitary task that allowed her moments of quiet reflection amidst the whispering trees. Tonight, however, a feeling that prickled at the back of her neck as she navigated the winding path.
y/n began to gather the fallen branches, a sudden sound shattered the silence. The unmistakable sound of running feet echoed through the trees, sending a shiver down Y/N's spine. Instinctively, she dropped the firewood and reached for the dagger she always kept strapped to her side.
Moving cautiously towards the source of the noise, Y/N's senses heightened, every rustle and snap of a twig magnified in the stillness of the night.
Y/n's heart pounded in her chest as she approached a clearing, the moonlight revealing a figure hunched over, gasping for breath against a gnarled tree trunk.
Drawing closer, Y/N's eyes widened in surprise as she recognized the figure of a boy, his face contorted in pain and exhaustion. His clothes were torn and dirt-streaked, his hands clutching at the rough bark for support.
"Who are you?" Y/N's voice cut through the night, a mixture of concern and caution lacing her words. The boy looked up, his eyes wide with fear and desperation, a silent plea for help etched in his gaze.
Her body subtly leaned forward, indicating her readiness to assist if needed, while her hands hovered near her sides, poised to react to any sudden movements.
The moonlight bathed them in its silvery glow, Y/N and the mysterious boy stood facing each other in the heart of the forest, the boy steadied himself, before sucking in a breath and speaking.
"I could ask you the same thing.” He replied, the boy's voice was deep and raspy, his words were slow and deliberate, as if he was rehearsing a speech.
Their gaze locked in a silent standoff, a sudden eruption of yells in the trig language pierced the stillness of the woods. Y/N huffed, a hint of sarcasm coloring her tone. "Those your friends?" she quipped, a wry smile tugging at the corners of her lips. John shook his head.
Undeterred, Y/N pressed on, her voice firm yet tinged with intrigue, the trees towered above her, their branches creaking ominously in the gentle breeze.
"Who are you?" she asked, her curiosity driving her forward. The rustling leaves and distant echoes of the forest seemed to hold their breath, waiting for John's response.
After a moment of hesitation, John relented. "My name is John," he admitted. His voice was calm now, yet his eyes were a little wild. He looked like the man who had been on the verge of being killed, his head bowed in prayer.
"I can help you, John," she said, Y/n felt a shiver run down her spine as she looked into John's eyes. They were deep and piercing, like two black holes that seemed to suck her in. She couldn't look away, even though she knew she should.
John hesitated, unsure if he could trust her. But the thought of surviving in this harsh new world was too tempting to resist. "Okay," he said, his eyes darting between y/n and the area where the voices came from.
"I'll follow you." He approached her cautiously, keeping a safe distance. Y/n nodded, a look of satisfaction on her face. "Good," she said. "Let’s go."
…
Y/N and Murphy made their way back to her cabin, the shadows of the forest casting long, eerie shapes on the path ahead. "I need you to help me gather resources," she said.
"Food, water, weapons. Whatever I need to keep me alive. And in return, I will keep you safe from my people." She stated, looking back at Murphy as she climbed the steps to her door.
John nodded, his heart racing but he knew he had no choice. "Yes," he said, his voice firm. "I'll do it. Whatever it takes." Y/n could tell he wasn’t sure about his own agreement but kept walking anyway, opening the rusty door and entering.
Murphy hesitated at the threshold, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily, a flicker of fear betraying his tough exterior.
Y/N chuckled softly, a hint of amusement dancing in her eyes. "Come on, it's not a trap," she reassured him, her voice warm and inviting. Murphy stepped inside, the cozy interior of the cabin enveloping him in a sense of unexpected comfort.
The aroma of cooking rabbit wafted through the air, a tantalizing scent that stirred memories of simpler times with her family. Y/N moved with practiced ease around the small kitchen, spooning steaming stew into an old wooden bowl before handing it to Murphy.
He accepted the bowl gratefully, the hunger evident in the way he practically inhaled the hearty meal. Y/N watched him silently, her gaze lingering on his worn appearance and the shadows that clouded his eyes.
"What happened to you, John?" she asked, her voice soft yet probing. The question hung in the air, laden with unspoken implications.
Murphy paused, setting down the bowl with a nonchalant shrug. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you.” he replied through gritted teeth. “Let's just say I've had better days."

Desperate Measures: 19/?
MASTERLIST
Summary: Bellamy, Y/N, and Octavia search for a lost friend. We finally learn what happened between her and Wick.
Warnings: Guns, canon-typical violence, cannibalism, swearing
Notes: Y’all we’re entering my favorite arc of this story, and I love how cute Y/N and Bell are. Based on 2x06 “Fog of War”
***
When she woke it wasn’t because of screams or nightmares or her name being called. Instead it was because a kiss was pressed into her hair, a finger drawing circles on her bare thighs, a shiver sent through her body.
When she woke it was because of Bellamy Blake.
“Hey,” He whispered, she turned around, a smile drawing itself on her face at the sight of his own smile.
“Hi,” She whispered back, arm stretching behind her. Somehow during the night their legs had become entangled, Bellamy’s arm draped around her waist. Her hand lazily stroked the curved figure of his jaw, and she knew that this was a sight she wanted to wake up to for a long time.
Sunlight streamed through the room, the muffled sounds of Ark citizens calling them forward, and she moved to get up from the bed, Bellamy’s hand pressing her back into his bare torso.
“Stay” He whined, sounding like a child who’s favorite toy was being taken away, “You make the world less scary.”
The admission caught her off guard, but it was enough to keep her in his bed a little while longer. “I have work to do.” She protested weakly, not really wanting to work on the radio. “Sinclair wants me to--”
“You can do that later.” Bellamy continued, and Y/N wondered if he knew that this wasn’t something she usually did.
She was lonely. He was around.
Her stomach protested at the thought process, something deep inside her telling her otherwise. She wanted this. She wanted what Bellamy was already offering.
Without thinking too hard she pressed her lips against his, elbows perching her upward, elation exploding as he began to kiss back.
His arms wrapped around her, pulling her forward, sitting upright while her legs straddled his hips.
It was everything and nothing all at once. The two mixing air as she began to push back, bodies moving in sync, precious minutes counting down to when she was supposed to report to her job, but she couldn't find it in her to care. Instead all she cared about was Bellamy's hands on her waist, the rush of endorphins being released just from touching him. All she cared about was running her fingers through the curls on the nape of his neck, the softness of their lips stealing all warmth from each other as they pulled away.
“You have no idea…” Bellamy began, twisting her hair around his fingers, “How long I’ve wanted to do that.”
She smiled as he moved in again, heart threatening to break free from her ribs as it pumped every happy chemical into her brain, a culmination of all her deepest fantasies happening behind the secure walls of his tent.
He was right.
Work could wait.

1 year ago: Mecha Station
She pushed herself off the bed, her bare frame snuggling into the shirt that had been thrown on the floor late last night. Her legs erupted into goosebumps as the cold air whipped through the apartment. She dragged her fingers over the metal table, grabbing an orange before turning back to face the bed, his sleeping figure now awake, eyes trained on the shirt that fit her like a dress.
“You know you can’t keep on stealing my clothing right?” Kyle smirked, gesturing to his bare torso. Y/N joined him back on the bed, pressing her lips to his, a smile erupting between them.
“It just looks so much better on me” She teased, peeling the orange so they had something to eat for breakfast before their first shift. The two shared the juicy fruit, wondering if this is what all food tasted like down on Earth.
Earth.
Where they were supposed to go in three hundred years.
The place they would never see.
“You know, as cute as you look when you’re thinking,” Kyle interjected her thoughts, “It does make me a little nervous.”
Y/N gave him a small smile before pressing forward, “I was just thinking about Earth, upset we won’t get to see it.”
His hand scratched her bare arm, moving up and down in a reassuring gesture. “You will, one day.”
She scoffed, leaning into his chest, Kyle’s lips kissing the inside of her neck, sweeping her hair away from her shoulder. “Do I ever tell you how much I appreciate you?” She asked, craning her neck to meet his copper eyes.
Kyle broke into a playful smile, “Only every day.”
She shoved his shoulder playfully before standing back up and pulling on her pants, “God, as if you need a bigger ego boost.” She threw his shirt back in his face before pulling on her own, a smirk written across both of their faces, laughter exploding as Kyle moved to put his pants on.
“Makes me even gladder that Sinclair asked for me instead of you for a special assignment today.” Y/N shoved in his face, tossing her hair behind her, fingering the small bracelet he had given her so long ago.
Wick moved closer to her, wrapping his arms around her waist to pull her closer, the two embracing as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
“Tell Sinclair and Griffin to give me the good jobs next time.” He whined, tilting his head down to meet her gaze.
She strained her neck upward, still upset about their height difference. Instead she simply shrugged before standing on her tip-toes, her lips gracing his once more. He accompanied her to the door, the two sharing one last chaste kiss before they left.
“Say hi to Raven for me,” Y/N asked, an adoring smile on her face.
“Will do” Kyle announced, leaning against the doorway. “Anything else?”
She pulled him in for a kiss on the cheek, “I love you.”
“Love you too.”
***
“Franco!” Sinclair called after the newly awake girl, distracting her from continuing her work on the fence, “I need you, Reyes, and Wick to try and contact the other stations,” He requested.
She nodded, gathering what tools and prints she could before heading to what remained of Mecha from the wreck.
She tried to push the awful memories in this room from her brain as she met with two of her favorite people.
“Hey Sparky’s finally joining us!” Wick called, his voice high on helium, eliciting a giggle from the engineer.
Raven moved in, ready for a hug, “I’m so glad you got assigned to this.” She was already walking better, the medical brace helping to stabilize her. But it wasn’t without flaws.
Everything was fixable.
“You know I could make a better brace than that right?” She brought up, crossing her arms.
Wick’s voice had finally got back to normal, “That’s what I said.”
Raven rolled her eyes, “Your brace sucks” She threw at Wick before turning back to Y/N, “and no offense, but you guys have terrible follow through.”
She drew herself back in mock hurt, “What? We have great follow through.”
“Mmhmm” Wick replied, “Just ask Monty Green.”
The air suddenly turned somber as the reality of the situation hit them once again. They couldn’t ask Monty Green because he was trapped with the rest of their friends.
“I-um, I’m gonna take a look at the radio.” Raven announced, leaving the two alone in the room together. Y/N placed her fingers on the edge of the engineering table, recalling their moments alone before she was sent to Earth. Before she was arrested.
“So how are things with Tall, Dark, and Mysterious?” Wick asked, drawing several ideas on the board behind him.
Y/N creased her eyebrows, a chuckle escaping her as realization hit her. “You mean Bellamy?” She asked.
“Oh, so we’re doing first names now?” Wick smirked, a teasing tone lacing his voice. “You’re practically married.”
“Shut up.” She shot back playfully, recalling the events of this morning. “Things are good, really good, actually.”
Wick laughed mirthlessly, turning his attention away from Y/N toward the marker in his hands, the wrench on the table, anything except the woman in front of him. “Looks like you didn’t need my help after all.”
“Kyle,” Y/N spoke softly, brushing her fingers across the back of his hand, hoping he would forgive her bringing up their painful memories, “I need you to know why I broke up with you.”
“You pushed me away remember?” Wick brought up, knowing it was a cheap shot. But when he saw the glow surrounding her, the softness she held, it was hard to think of any other reason.
“I needed you safe.” Y/N urged, “You would’ve been floated, and I---I couldn’t risk that.”
His eyes met her own, the two softening in each other’s presence.
“The last time we were in this room you told me you didn’t need me anymore.” Wick recalled, turning his gaze toward the now open door, eyes latching onto the busy frame of Raven Reyes hard at work, his mind recreating his and Y/N’s last moments together.
“Because I wanted you safe, not because I stopped loving you.” Y/N whispered, the words seeming more and more like a betrayal. The admission catching the engineer off guard, turning to meet her gaze once more before throwing the marker down on the table.
“He’s good for you Y/N,” Kyle responded, hand brushing against her collarbone, the familiar touch threatening the beautiful fantasy that she had created. Her hand grasped his wrist, the silver metal encircling her own gleaming in the sunlight. “You shouldn’t let me stand in your way.”
He pulled away, leaving Y/N alone by the table, moving to help Raven with the radio.
***
“You wanted to see me sir?” Y/N asked, the airlock doors opening to reveal the imposing figures of Jake Griffin and Jacobo Sinclair standing in the main engineering hall in Mecha, fearful looks on each of their faces.
“Yes,” Griffin stated, pulling up several blueprints of the scrubber system and oxygenators. “We’re experiencing unusual occurrences in this part of the Ark” He pointed toward Factory Station, “We need to make sure it’s something we can fix.”
Y/N nodded, knitting her eyebrows in confusion, “All due respect sir, why do you need me?”
Jake and Sinclair shared an unreadable look as they dropped the bomb. “Because we can’t trust anyone else.”
***
“Clarke!” Y/N called, Raven trailing after her. “We know why we haven’t heard from any of the other Ark stations.”
The two women sat down across the blonde, sharing a look between each other as they decided to share their discovery. “Mount weather is blocking us.” Clarke linked eyes with Y/N before replying. “Show me.”
The two women led her to engineering, surrounding the radio they had been working on all day.
“I tweaked the resonator and got this,” Raven explained, a jagged static coming across the radio, “It’s the same sound we heard on the black box of the Exodus ship.”
“The same sound Monty heard before Mount Weather took him.” Y/N added, regret flashing through her at the memory. She should’ve done more. Should’ve gone after him.
“It’s also the reason our range on our walkies sucks” Raven brought up, leaning against the table, “Long range is totally screwed.”
Clarke furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, “Mount Weather crashed the Exodus ship?” Y/N nodded warily, unease spreading through her at the thought of their enemy able to have such powerful technology.
“We can’t get around the signal,” Y/N answered, knowing that would be Clarke’s next question, “But if you get us to the tower,” She shared a smirk with Raven. “We can make it go boom.”
***
Factory Station was way too crowded Y/N decided, trying to find the exact area Jake had pointed out to her. She didn’t know why they were so worried.
The Ark had survived worse oxygen limits than this.
When she was sure no one else was around, she propped open the panel, remembering Miller’s lessons before he had been assigned to Aero Station for his cadet training. God how she missed him.
She began to examine the recycled water tubes next to the oxygenator. Nothing seemed to be off with the hydrogenator either, until she opened another panel.
A series of chemicals laid against the clear tube of water, small drips creating rust on the old Space station.
Ammonia was among the chemicals, from sweat she supposed, but the others, they were turning the water yellow. Just in this sector, they could contain it for so long, but if people continued urinating and breathing then they were screwed.
And people have to urinate and breath so...they were screwed.
Acetone, methyl alcohol, carbon monoxide.
These were not chemicals they could just vent anymore. Especially because the C02 scrubbers were already starting to fail all over the place.
She searched anxiously for a guard, when she couldn’t find one she reached for her radio.
“Engineering come in, Engineering do you copy?” “Franco, what the hell are you doing?” Sinclair’s voice came over the radio, “We said no communication until the problem had been fixed.”
Y/N tried to force the nerves in her throat down, “We have a bigger problem on our hands,” She gulped, “We need to seal off Factory Station.”
“Are you sure?” Jake Griffin’s voice came in next.
“Yes.”
Silence met her on the other end, and she worried that she had done something wrong.
Jake returned, “Come back to Mecha, we need to talk about this.”
“Yes sir” Y/N replied before stuffing the radio back on her belt, shoving the panels back into place. Footsteps were heard along the steel floor and she grasped what she could before shoving the first panel back into place, unable to commit to the second one.
Thankfully it was the one without contamination.
“What are you doing?” A gruff voice asked, causing her to turn around. She met the dark eyes of a man in a guard’s uniform, his arms crossed, dark hair slicked back in the familiar style of most guards.
“I was, uh, doing some repairs.” Y/N spoke, knowing it was half-true. His eyes narrowed at the engineering bag beside her, her apprentice pin telling him otherwise.
“There wasn’t any maintenance scheduled for today.” He spoke instead, eyeing her as he moved forward. “And I didn’t think apprentices worked on scrubbers.” She shuffled behind her, not liking his nosy attitude. Just because she was seventeen didn’t mean she wasn’t granted the same opportunities as someone else.
“I guess they needed someone expendable.” She spoke, not backing down from his interrogating stare.
Silence stood between the guard and the engineer, neither one making a singular move until footsteps were heard coming from the direction of Alpha.
“Y/N” The strict voice caused her to whip around, heart racing as Marcus appeared from the shadows. “There you are, I’ve been looking for you everywhere” He turned toward the guard, a grateful tone in his voice as he remained expressionless. “Thank you for finding her Cadet Blake.”
She resisted the urge to spit out her irritation at the boy before her. He was a cadet and he was getting on her case about doing things outside his rank? What a fucking hypocrite.
“Clean this up.” Marcus ordered, gesturing toward the open panel before nodding back in the direction of Alpha. Y/N didn’t need words to know that was an order. She shot a dirty look at Cadet Blake before following Marcus, the state of the Ark still on her mind.

“According to Clarke, before the bombs there were buildings everywhere here.” Bellamy informed the two of them, searching desperately for a way into Mount Weather. Octavia stood by her side, eyes peeled for Lincoln.
“Maybe some of them were Bunkers,” Y/N offered, trying to find a way to help. “Maybe that’s our way in.”
Bellamy nodded, falling into step with her, “Exactly, ruins, anything man-made. That’s our way in.”
Octavia nodded, drawing her sword as the trio marched forward, eyes searching every corner of the forest for their answer.
His arm snaked around Y/N’s waist as he pulled her in for a quick kiss on the cheek.
“Not that I’m opposed,” She started, a fuzziness bursting in her chest, “But what was that for?”
Bellamy smiled, letting go, “You could’ve stayed with Raven to help out with the radio, instead you came with us. It’s a thank you.”
Y/N smiled back at him, a playful tone in her voice. “Well someone’s gotta keep an eye on you.”
The couple chuckled, embracing their newfound relationship under the clear sky, Octavia sending teasing looks back at them, sadness lingering behind her eyes.
They would find Lincoln.
Y/N would make sure of it.
“Blake! Franco!” Sgt. Scott called, the clicking of the gun stopping the trio in their tracks. So much for a stealth mission. “Let’s go right now.”
“In case you forgot” Bellamy responded turning around, “We’re not under your command.”
Y/N was ready to pull out her pistol, to shoot them in the leg and return for them later, but something brushed against her boot drawing her attention to the ground beneath them.
Thousands of bugs were crawling underneath them, as if they were running away from something far more sinister.
“Bell…” Y/N spoke up, catching his attention. Bellamy tilted his head until he followed her gaze, the bugs sparking the lightbulb in his head.
“We need to go.” Bellamy announced, grasping Y/N and Octavia, stopped only by the clicking from Sgt. Scott. “Now.”
“What are they doing?” The guard asked incredulously.
“Running.” Y/N spoke reverently, fear leaking through her voice as she looked up, a familiar fog drifting toward them. “Acid fog, we need to take cover.”
The guards shoved their bags off their shoulders grasping for the acid proof tents until Octavia’s voice rang out, “Guys over here!”
When they pushed away the vines, she sighed in relief.
A door.
Bellamy and Y/N rushed toward Octavia, grasping ahold of the door and pulling, a crack heard as it swung open.
“Everyone inside now!” Y/N urged, holding the door open for the three guards to follow. Scott and his other buddy followed immediately, but the third was fiddling with his pack still. She shoved the guilt down and shut the door behind her, his screams joining Sterlings’ in the bloody symphony inside her head.
Bellamy pulled her close, whispering in her hair. “It had to be done. You don’t have to bear it alone.”
She nodded, pulling herself together as she stared at the building they had locked themselves in. A flashlight illuminated the dark space and she reached for the pistol inside her waistband. She clicked the safety off, ready to face what awaited them.
Endless rows of cars spread before them and she refused to think about those who never came back for them.
Bellamy moved forward, stopped by Scott’s hand. “Not so fast,” The Sgt. replied.
“Sir, that fog will keep us pinned down--”
Bellamy was cut off by the sensation of a gun pressed into his hand, locking eyes with the older man.
“Take this, We’ll split up, be back in fifteen,” The Sgt’s gaze turned toward Y/N. “And be safe,”
The three delinquents nodded, watching as the guards moved out.
***
The Ark was dying.
It all made sense. The contamination would only spread and they only had enough back up oxygen tanks to last six months after the contamination reached every station in the Ark.
They had a year to warn everyone.
They had a year to find a solution.
“Hey,” Kyle’s voice reached her ears, distracting her from her current thoughts, “Is everything okay?”
She couldn’t drag him down with her. Not when he was above the age of majority. She turned back to the board behind her, trying to come up with a realistic excuse for what she had been doing. “Yeah,” She lied, refusing to meet his eyes.
“What are all those calculations for?” Wick asked, wrapping his arms around her waist as they moved back and forth.
“My special project.” Y/N announced, pushing herself out of his arms to continue working. She longed to stay in them, to not do what she was planning to do. But it had to be done. She would keep him out of this mess.
Kyle reached up to grab her hand, taking the marker from her. “Hey, don’t shut me out.” He requested, “What’s going on?”
She bit her lip, nerves knotting in her stomach, weighing her down as she stared at his big brown eyes, wanting nothing more than to tell him the truth. To tell him about the project. To tell him that he only had a year and six months to live.
But she couldn’t.
“Y/N,” His voice lowered, softness radiating from him as he took her hand in hers. “What’s wrong?”
She gulped, tears threatening to escape as she came to the realization that there was only one way for him to be safe from the aftermath.
“You” She uttered, pain spreading through her heart, “This, I--I can’t do it anymore.”
Kyle stepped back, confusion written across his features, face falling at the words she had practically spat at him.
“What do you mean?” Kyle asked, searching her face for anything to oppose the message she was sending. “If this is about your dad--”
“No,” She steeled her gaze, meeting his own, wishing she didn’t have to say the words that dripped from her mouth like a deadly poison. “I just, I realized I don’t need you anymore.”
Wick’s jaw clenched at the words, leaning back against the wall as he shrugged, “You don’t need me anymore?” His voice cracked and Y/N felt his hatred for her grow stronger. “We both know what this is about.” She raised her eyes to his, glassy and unmoving, “I don’t care what your dad thinks, we can make this work, I don’t care about losing my job or--or--or being floated,”
“Don’t you dare say that,” She spat, her voice thick with emotion, the dagger digging deeper at the thought of Wick’s body drifting alone in space, frozen like her mother’s. “Don’t you dare say I’m worth all of that.”
“But you are” Kyle moved forward, clasping his hands around her face, thumb drifting across her cheek, “Don’t you see? I love you, and that means we’ll get through this, whatever your dad is planning.”
The voice from her dreams rang in her head, speaking those damaging three words.
“Love is weakness.” She uttered, pushing herself away from him. She turned toward the table, eyes locked onto the blueprints.
“No” Wick refused, moving closer, “No, I refuse to believe that, and I won’t let you believe that either.”
She closed her eyes in anguish, saltwater dripping down her face as she turned toward him.
“Kyle, please don’t do this.”
“Do what?” He asked incredulously, “Why won’t you just tell me what’s going on?” His voice broke, the high octave sending shockwaves through her, threatening to topple her brick wall.
Threatening to expose the biggest secret the Ark had ever seen.
But she couldn’t lose him.
Not after losing everybody else.
“I can’t.” She spoke, voice trembling as she tore her hand out of his, marching out of the room, the pain inside her bursting out of her chest as she leaned against the door of the engineering room, hanging her head as sobs wracked her body.
***
Music wove itself through her ears, the lost holiday song reminding her of better times on the Ark, back before they were fighting a war to save their friends. Y/N brandished her pistol, ready to face whatever awaited them.
“What’s that?” Bellamy whispered, sharing a confused look with Y/N before lifting up his pistol. “Sgt. Scott, are you there?”
Silence greeted his words and Y/N couldn’t help the nerves jumping into her throat as Octavia continued to shine the flashlight on the bloody floor beneath them.
“Bell,” Her voice trembled, Octavia staring in horror at the sight before her, “What’s that?”
“O…” Bellamy pressed against his sister’s shoulder while Y/N continued to cover them.
“What?” Octavia asked, turning away from the horrifying sight to see Bellamy handing over his pistol, his only weapon now in his sister’s hands.
“Take this”
She followed his instructions, listening for more of the screams that had caught them off guard. Y/N froze at the sight before her, the remnants of the Ark guards littered on the floor, limbs torn from them, two reapers feasting on the bloody remains.
Y/N took no time in firing at the first reaper, but when the second one stood up, she held up her hand, urging Bellamy and Octavia to hold their fire. “Don’t shoot,” She begged, “it’s Lincoln.”
Octavia moved forward, ready to save him from whatever had taken him, except she never imagined that he would need saving from himself.
“Lincoln!” Octavia called, drawing the reaper’s attention toward them, “Lincoln it’s me,” She stepped forward, ignoring the warning looks from both Y/N and her brother. “It’s Octavia!”
Lincoln lunged, looking ready to tear apart every single one of them just to get some dinner. Without a second thought, Y/N pressed the trigger, aiming for the leg. Her shot was true and before she knew it, Bellamy had come through to knock him out with the butt of his rifle.
“We need to get somewhere safe.” He urged, the two girls nodding, Octavia’s gaze still lingering on the unconscious body before her.
***
A knock on her door pulled her out of her stupor.
A week.
One full week since she had found out about the Ark.
One full week since she had broken it off with Kyle.
Not even Clarke or Wells would talk to her.
Not that she could blame them, she’d just take the rest of them down with her. Love is weakness she kept reminding herself.
“Y/N?” Marcus’ soft voice rang through the steel door, “Is everything okay?”
She brushed aside her tears, clicking the button near her door to let him in before retreating back to her bed.
“I know what you’re planning to do.” She told him, recalling the plans she had seen on his desk a few days ago. Marking off sector seventeen, calculating the amount of people needed to provide extra air. “I know about the culling Dad.” She spoke plainly, tears drying against her face.
Kane straightened his back, “That was private council information--”
“So is the news the Ark is dying, but I guess you can make exceptions for who gets to know what.” She shot back, malice filling her mouth. “The Chancellor certainly did.”
Kane pressed his nails into his palms, clenching his jaw at the accusation before joining her on the edge of her bed.
“You’re right.” Marcus agreed, “We can make exceptions, but not about this.”
A clank of metal cut through her numbness as the cool handcuff slid over her wrist, chaining her to the bed as he stood up, free of chains.
“Hey, what the hell is this?” She asked, anger burning in her chest as she stared at the man who had taken her in.
Who had raised her.
“Y/N Franco,” Marcus announced somberly, “You are under arrest for treason.”
She shouted at his retreating figure, standing up as the metal cut through her skin, “Please! You can’t do this!” Her voice grew hoarse, tears spilling overboard, burning her face as she struggled against the handcuffs, wrists reddening. “I’m your daughter please!”
The door hissed shut behind him.
***
They leaned against the door of the car, Y/N pressed against Bellamy’s chest, trying not to think about the last time they were in this position, how happy she felt to wake up that morning, and how scared she felt right now.
“What the hell did they do to him?” Octavia asked, horror still glinting in her ears as she stared at Lincoln’s zombie like figure, unable to stomach the thought of the man she loved being turned into that thing.
“Mountain men,” Y/N recalled, “They must be turning them into reapers, using them to kill and capture their bait.” She spat maliciously. Her friends were in there. How many of them would be turned into reapers? Ready to fetch their next blood batch?
“What are we going to do?” Octavia asked, gaze searching the both of them, expecting some great ideas from the both of them.
Bellamy moved forward, grasping Octavia’s hand “We’ll get him back O, I promise.”
Y/N meanwhile was staring at the shock baton attached to Bellamy’s hip, she grasped it, almost feeling the electricity surging through her.
“I have an idea,” She announced.
Intertwining her hand with Bellamy’s she took a deep breath, and just his presence alone was enough to calm the rising nerves in her stomach.
“Sure you’re ready for this?” The question was directed at Octavia, who grit her teeth and grasped the handle of her sword.
“I have to be” She uttered, staring ahead.
The two leaders shared a worrisome look before Y/N spoke up to remind them of their idea. “Okay, you draw him in, we’ll do the rest.” She reminded the Blakes, nodding to Bellamy. They tumbled out of the car, Octavia’s voice echoing through the garage.
“Lincoln!” She called, “Lincoln can you hear me?”
Y/N jumped slightly as she watched Lincoln leap at Octavia, lunging forward in an attempt to pin her against the wall. Nodding at Bellamy the two leaders struck, setting their batons alight, striking Lincoln, causing him to topple over and seize. The grounder collapsed, unconscious. “Now what?” Octavia breathed, the two girls staring at the unmoving body, unsure what to do with it. Thankfully Bellamy did.
“Now we take him home.”

Thunder Storm - THE 100 REWRITE Chapter Six
[THE 100 MASTERLIST]
Previous Chapter / Next Chapter
Summary: With Finn on the verge of death, a knife into his chest and Raven struggling to get in touch with the Ark through the radio she put together, things are stressful for everyone involved. Clarke desperately awaits the help of her mother to save Finn’s life, hiding her feelings for him in front of Raven.
Words: 4,6k
Warnings: The 100 season 1 spoilers (specifically episode 7 “Contents under pressure”), thunder, angst, tension, life or death situation, stabbing wound, knife, blood, arguments, Fuck boy Finn,
I’m gonna say this now : every problem Clarke and Raven ever had with each other was because of Finn once he was gone boom everything was fine I don’t like Finn
A violent storm had been raging for quite a while now, driving rain crashing against the walls of the dropship, turning the outside ground into a muddy mess that was difficult to navigate, and confined the teenagers inside the ship. The wind was blowing threatening to blow away the sheet hanging up at the entrance of the dropship, held back by a few boys in the group. Concerned and not really knowing what to do at the moment, Clarke was standing there, looking outside at the thunderstorm, strands of her blond wavy hair flying in her back because of the wind, blood staining her skin. It was Finn’s blood. He was still in a life-or-death situation and until Raven was able to contact the ark so Clarke could have her mother’s support to help save the boy, she couldn’t do anything and she cared for him so she wouldn’t try anything if she wasn’t sure it would have a favorable outcome for him. Michelle looked at her best friend from inside the dropship and walked up to her, the sound of her steps silenced because of the thunder. She glanced outside; you couldn’t even see through the rain falling it was an eerie sight. Michelle stood beside Clarke and patted her shoulder softly. The blonde glanced at her after taking a deep breath, hearing Raven’s voice in the back as she kept trying to reach the Ark and she shot a tight smile at her childhood friend. The both of them then turned around and walked to Raven.
“This is Raven Reyes calling the Ark Station. Please come in.” She repeated an umpteenth time. She was getting desperate and the current settings didn’t help. They weren’t only stressed out by the storm going on but also because of Finn’s critical state and without Abigail’s help, Clarke wouldn’t be able to do much. “Can anyone hear me?”
“Sure you have the right frequency?” A girl by her side asked.
“Yeah, I’m sure.” She responded aggressively, clearly annoyed.
“Raven. You can do this. Okay?” Clarke told her quietly before turning around, followed by Michelle as she went back near where Finn was lied down, unconscious, the dagger still in his body, a tissue surrounding it to catch the blood. Clarke unrolled it from around the blade and replaced it with a clean out to avoid any infection or such. Clarke and Michelle raised their eyes and exchanged a concerned and ancious look with Raven. They had to reach the Ark, there was no other option and it was getting hopeless.
“Calling Ark Station. Come in.” Raven persisted. “Ark Station… Are you there? Please come in. Repeat, calling Ark Station. The Hundred are alive. Can anyone hear me?”
“This is a restricted channel.” A voice then finally responded to her longing call. “Who is this? Please identify yourself.”
“Th- this is Raven Reyes.” Clarke and Michelle stood by her sides while everyone listened. “I’m from Mecha Station. I’m transmitting from the ground. The Hundred are alive. Please, you need to get Dr. Abby Griffin. Dr. Abby Griffin. Now.”
“Hang on, Raven. We’re trying to boost your signal.”
“Raven. Are you there?” It was Abby’s voice. Raven looked up at Clarke and let her approach the microphone on the table. She was a bit hesitant but eventually pressed the buttong as she bent over.
“Mom? Mom, it’s me.”
“Clarke?” She said after a few seconds of silence, she was probably shaken to hear her daughter’s voice. Michelle bit the inside of her cheek. She would have liked to talk to her own mother but now was not the time to make such demands, the life of Finn was on the line.
“Mom, I need your help. One of our people was stabbed by a Grounder.”
“Clarke, this is the Chancellor. Are you saying there are survivors on the ground?” Jaha’s voice came up over the radio.
“Yes.” She said firmly. “The Earth is survivable. We’re not alone.” There was a silence, so she insisted. “Mom, he’s dying. The knife’s still in his chest.”
“Clarke, is my son with you?” Jaha wondered while Abby’s response wasn’t heard. Clarke who started to walk back and forth, fidgeting her fingers, stopped in her tracks and slowly shook her head. “I’m so sorry. Wells is— Wells is dead.”
“I’m gonna talk you through it step by step.” Abby declared over the radio. Clarke stood by Finn, looking down at him, waiting for the instructions. “Clarke— To get to Medical.”
“What?” She yelled when her mother’s words became criptic noises, the signal being beaten up by the storm outside. “Raven, what’s wrong?”
“It’s not the radio. It’s the storm.” Another great news. The storm was messing with the radio, but they hoped it would be fine to go through this whole saving Finn thing. After a minute, Octavia came into the dropship holding two cylindrical metal bottle and came up to Clarke. The blonde grabbed the one she held out to her and smelled inside seemingly not knowing what it was at first and she winced, looking back at Octavia.
“Ugh. Monty’s moonshine.”
“Pretty sure no germ could survive it.” As they talked, they looked around with a start. The wind howled threateningly, thunder crashing outside, it was hell.
“The storm’s getting worse.” Clarke stated.
“Monroe, close the doors.” Michelle then requested to the ginger standing nearby. The latter looked at her and then at Clarke.
“We still have people out there.”
“Monty and Jasper aren’t back yet.” Octavia added. “Neither is Bellamy.”
“All right, they’ll find somewhere to ride it out.” Clarke concluded.
“One suture needle.” Raven approached Clarke, handing a tiny needle out to her.
“Great.” She grabbed it in between her fingers. “I still need something to close the wound.”
“There’s some wire I use for tents.” Octavia said.
“Let’s see it.”
“Stay away from the blue wires. I rigged it to the solar cells on the roof.” Raven warned Octavia as she walked away to get the said wires for later. “That means they’re hot. You got that?”
“Yeah, got it.” Octavia carelessly responded without glancing at the mechanic. Clarke cleaned her hands in a bucket filled up with the liquor Bellamy’s little sister brought inside and turned to Finn.
“Tell me you can do this.” Clarke raised her eyes to Raven and she swallowed silently. She had to successfully do this whole thing or he would die.
“Hey, they’re back.” Someone yelled from the entrance fo the dropship, pulling the sheet to the side, letting Bellamy, Jasper and Monty walk inside.
“Is that a Grounder?” Another teenager asked as they all saw the two best friends behind Bellamy carrying a tall man across the room and dumped it there. He was blindfolded and apparently unconscious.
“What the hell are you doing?” Octavia inquired, juming off the ladder leading to the upper floor.
“It’s time to get some answers.” Bellamy retorted.
“Oh, you mean revenge?”
“I mean intel. Get him upstairs.” He then instructed to a few guys by his side.
“Bellamy, she’s right.” Clarke turned to him but there was no time to discuss this, the voice of Abby came back over the radio and she looked behind.
“Clarke, honey, we’re ready. Can you hear me?” Despite the little time they had on their hands, she still tried to talk him out of holding a Grounder hostage inside the dropship but Michelle knew that Bellamy wasn’t the kind to listen when he wanted something and as she thought, he disagreed with her and went off with the Grounder. Clarke turned back to Finn and her gaze briefly met Michelle’s and she sighed, walking up to the wounded on the table. They were thinking the same thing, Bellamy was not worth losing the chance to save Finn’s life. They would deal with him later.
“The balde is at a shap upward angle, between the sixth and seventh ribs.” Clarke started telling her mother.
“Okay, how deep?”
“Well, I can’t tell how deep it goes.”
“That’s all right. Don’t remove the knife yet.” Abby therefore instructed while Clarke applied some more liquor on her hands. She then held out the bottle to Raven who walked back and forth anxiously.
“Hey. Here, sterilize your hands.” Raven removed her gloves and feverishly grabbed the bottle, taking a long sip of it before pouring it onto her hands. Michelle then took the bottle herself and did the very same, in case Clarke needed her to hold or touch something, she had to be ready as well.
“Clarke, do you see any fluids?”
“Get out of my face!” Someone suddenly yelled behind them. Two young len of the group were arguing in the back.
“Shut the fuck up.” Michelle spat and at the same moment, a third came came and made them step back.
“Clear the room.” Clarke asked Michelle and Raven. It would be much easier for her to perform the surgery if there wasn’t anyone starting fights around which could jeopardize the whole process.
“Everyone, upstairs. Now. Let’s go.” Raven then ordered, clapping her hands.
“Hurry, get moving.” Michelle added.
“He feels a little warm.” Clarke told her mom, her hand resting on Finn’s forehead while everyone was climbing up the ladder. The moment she talked about Finn’s state of health, Raven looked at her with a concern that wouldn’t leave her eyes.
“That’s all right. Fever sometimes accompanies the trauma.” Abby reassured over the radio. “Clarke, I need you to tell me if there is any fluid leaking from the wound.”
“Uh…” Clarke bent over. “No.”
“Pleural membrane’s intact. That’s good. It’s actually really good. He got lucky.”
“Hear that?” Raven leaned on the table he was lying on and a smile shone on her face as she looked down at him, addressing him even though he was unconscious. “You got lucky.” Clarke had a tight smile, still bothered by the fact that Finn seduced her when he already had someone else. Michelle would have put her hand on Clarke’s back or shoulder if she didn’t have to keep her hand sanitized with the alcohol.
“Okay, Clarke. Firm grip on the knife. You’re gonna need to angle it upward and to the left very slightly as it exits the rib cage.”
“How very slightly?” She asked, holding her hand up in front of her.
“Three milli--. Clarke?”
“Wait, what was that ? You dropped out.”
“Clarke? Three millimeters. Got it?”
“Yeah, okay, I got it. Here it goes.”
“Steady hand, Clarke.” Abby insisted. “You’ve assisted me on trickier procedures than this. And once that knife out, the hard part is over.”
“You got this, Clarke.” Michelle gave her a reassuring smile when suddenly, they all looked to the sound when a rumbling sound of a lighting disturbed the quiet of the rain.
“All right. Extracting now.” She bent over once again, bringing one hand to the handle of the knife, and the other on Finn’s skin, proceeding to take it out but Finn suddenly moaned in pain, moving.
“He’s waking up.” Raven cried out.
“Hold him still.” Raven and Michelle grabbed him and held him down so she could get the knife out of him. “Finn. I’m gonna get that knife out of you, okay?”
“Good plan.” He articulated, now awake.
“Finn, you can’t move. You got it?” He nodded. “Okay. Here it goes.”
“Nice and slow, Clarke.” Abby spoke up calmly. The situation was tensed. Clarke pulled the knife out carefully and as she almost got it out of his chest, there was another rumbling, and the dropship was shaken by something that hit one of the walls from the outside which made the three around the table lose balance and fall, even Finn rolled over the table.
“Clarke?” Abby called over the radio, panick in her voice. “You all right? Clarke? Clarke?” Michelle slowly sat up, wincing. She’d surely had a couple bruise on her after this, but it was fine, they were all fine. She looked up and saw her friend standing there, the knife in her hand, staring at Finn on the floor, his hand on the bleeding wound. She got the knife out. “What happened? Clarke?”
“It’s out!” Raven exclaimed. “She did it.” Michelle noticed the smile of relief that was on her face quickly faded when she looked at her alleged boyfriend, topless and blood all over his chest, lying on the floor of the drop ship, and Clarke, staring at him. She mentally sighed upon seeing this because she knew this whole situation with the three of them would only be trouble and annoyance.
Clarke let out a sigh as she sewed shut Finn’s injury after cleaning the blood. “Okay. I’m done.”
“Good. Do you have anything to cover the wound?”
“We’ll make do.” Clarke said, shaking her head like her mother could see her reaction. “Like always.”
“Should he be pale? Warm too.” Raven wondered, pressing a wet towel on his forehead.
“He lost a lot of blood, Raven. But if your boyfriend’s anywhere near as tough as you, I’m sure he’ll be fine.” While her mother talked to the young woman, Clarke looked away and brought her hand to his collarbone and touched his skin.
“Wait, Mom. She’s right. He’s feverish.” She frowned. “His breathing is uneven.”
“Give him some time to recover. Let me know if it gets any worse, but I think he might just be out of the woods.”
“Down here, there’s nothing but woods.” She retorted, tensed up despite successfully removing this life-threat of a knife. “I need a break.”
“Clarke?” Abby called out to her but the blonde stood up from the stool she was sitting on when she sewn up Finn’s wound and she stood up, taking a few steps away. “Clarke, wait. Raven, Michelle, uh, could you give us a few minutes?”
“Sure, Doc.” Raven immidietaly replied.
“No.” Clarke argued. “No. Stay with Finn.”
“Clarke?” Michelle called out to her as she climbed up the ladder to the upper floor and after a glance at Raven, she followed her friend up.
“Get the hell out of my way.” Clarke spat at some guy who came blocking her from getting further in the room. Stepping through the hatch, Michelle went to stood behind her.
“It’s okay. Let her through.” The guy then turned his head to Michelle after Clarke walked past him and Bellamy spoke up again. “Her too.”
“Well, if he didn’t hate us before, he does now.” Clarke declared to Bellamy after observing the Grounders, tied to the walls, his arms stretched to the sides, his face absolutely covered in blood. Bellamy gave a look at the huge guy trapped in the room and grabbed both of the girls by their arms, dragging them away.
“Who cares?” He stopped and turned his head to Clarke. “How’s Finn?”
“Alive.” She responded, looking at him dead in the eyes. He eventually let go of their arms and Clarke jumped back on the hostage subject. “His people will care. How long until they figure out where he is? And what happens when they do? I mean, when they come looking for him?”
“They will, Bellamy.” Michelle added.
“Relax, the soldier and princess. No one saw us take him.” He shook his head. “He was chained up in that cave the entire time… and thanks to the storm, we didn’t see a sould on the way back.”
“Yeah, last time we thought we were alone in the woods, they were actually tracking us down, so I wouldn’t be—” She was cut off by another loud rumbling outside and she sighed as he opendd a small notebook.
“Look, in case you missed it, his people are already killing us.” On the pages he showed them, there was a drawing of the front of their camp and on the other, a hundred vertical lines for the hundred of them with already a dozen of them crossed out. “How many more of our people need to die until you both realize we’re fighting a war?”
“Look, we’re not soldiers, Bellamy.”
“I’ll step out of that statement.” Michelle joked in a low voice, joining her hands in front of her, innocently looking around when she felt their gazes on her. It wasn’t a time for jokes and sarcasm, but she figured it wouldn’t harm anyone, especially given how he always called her a soldier and Clarke just said they weren’t, it was a necessary sarcastic comment to make she thought. Clarke quickly moved on anyway and glanced at the Grounder. “Look at him. We can’t win.”
“You’re right. We can’t if we don’t fight.” He insisted, slowly pronouncing each word.
“Clarke! He’s seizing!” Raven suddenly called her, panicking downstairs as she was left alone with their convalescent peer.
“On my way.” She rushed down the ladder, and after Michelle’s head disappeared through the hole, Bellamy closed the hatch.
“He was fine—”
“Get my mother on the radio, now.” Clarke ordered as she quickly went to Finn’s side. The young woman that was Raven was frightened by seeing her boyfriend in such a state. “Raven, now!”
“The radio’s dead. Interference from the storm.” She yelled in turn but her voice went softer, worry in her eyes, she begged Clarke. “Please, don’t let him die.”
“Michelle, hold his legs.”
“On it.” She jogged to the table and pinned down Finn’s legs while her and Raven held his arms in place. Without her mother’s help, Clarke doubted she could figure out what to do and what was happening. None of them knew what to do to make this all calm down. Finn was grunting less and less loud until it eventually stopped. Michelle, Clarke and Raven loosened their grip onto him, looking at Clarke. A white foam was escaping from his lips, slowly.
“It stopped. Quick, help me get him on his side.” While Michelle reacted immiediately and was about to help turn him around, Raven was just standing there, and Clarke had to raise her voice at her to snap her out of her thoughts. “Raven, there’s fluid in his lungs. He could choke, quick.” They then placed him on his side and Clarke touched his forehead to check his body temperature and it wasn’t good. “God, he’s burning up.”
“Fluid in his lungs? That means the knife—”
“No.” She cut off Raven. “This isn’t blood, it’s something else. I- I did everything she told me. Wait, I’ve seen this before… Shortness of breath, fever, seizing. It’s poison.”
“Clarke, you sterilized everything.” Raven was confused. “I watched you do it.”
“The blade was poisoned.” Michelle realized, starign at Clarke and the blonde nodded at her, her brows furrowed in distress.
“Stay here.” Clarke then said as she walked to a side table on which the knife rested in a plate. She picked it up and climbed up the ladder connecting the floors and Michelle went to grab a clean towel and even though it was gross, she wiped the foam off of Finn’s mouth, just to do something in the meantime Clarke went upstairs. Whatever the two girls that remained by the spacewalker’s side could do, it wasn’t enough to make anything improve and after a few minutes of not seeing Clarke come back, Finn’s state was going down once again.
“Clarke, he’s getting worse!” She yelled at her from below. Michelle passed her fingers through her thick and straight black hair, leaning on her hip with her hand. “What’s taking so long?”
“Go up, I’ll stay here in case he has another seizure.” Raven looked at Michelle and nodded and climbed up the ladder, joining Clarke on the third floor where they kept the Grounder. Michelle took care of wiping Finn’s mouth as the foam flowed from his lips and she kept him on his side.
After getting the Grounder to show them the cure for the poison on the balde of the knife, Raven and Clarke came down and the blonde poured the liquid of a little vial into Finn’s mouth. He was even paler than before but it would get better now that he had the antidote.
“How do we know if it works?” Raven wondered with a soft voice, looking down at her boyfriend.
“We’ll know when he wakes up.” Clarke replied, putting back the vial’s cap on. “He’ll need water when he does. Do you mind?”
“Sure.” Raven walked away and climbed up. Michelle, leaning on a wall with her arms crossed, she watched her leave the room. It was nice now that it was calmer. The storm outside had almost stopped, there were no more loud rumblings shaking the whole dropship. Silence was nice after so much panick and tension. Michelle stared at her childhood best friend and now that Raven was out, her face slowly twisted, wincing in pain. She frowned and walked up to her and the blonde let her put her arm around her shoulders as she quietly sobbed, letting her hand fall on Finn’s chest.
“I can’t do this without you.” She cried before straightening up. Michelle comforted her with her presence but didn’t say a word. She wasn’t one to say she liked Finn and witnessing her best friend, her sister from another mother, get so upset over this boy, it hurt her. It hurt her that she was so attached to him after not even a couple weeks, and it made think of Murphy. She wasn’t in love with him, but she was worried of how he was doing all alone in the wild with the Grounders ready to kill every single one of them on sight. She worried he was dead but somehow, she didn’t believe so. He didn’t deserve to get killed by them all because he had wrongly been accused of a crime, hanged by the same people he thought were his. It wasn’t fair but it was what happened. She wouldn’t confide in Clarke about her thoughts on Murphy because she knew what her friend thought of him, and she also agreed on the fact that he was a jackass, but she couldn’t believe he was such a bad person deep down. Michelle blinked, snapping out her thoughts upon hearing a voice over the radio. She stopped staring into the void and her and Clarke turned their head over to the receiver. It was Abby, trying to initiate contact again.
“Clarke, can you hear me?” Clarke sat up, wiping away her tears.
“I’m here.”
“Oh, thank God. Is Michelle here too?” The latter smiled when she heard her mother’s best friend ask about her.
“I’m here too, Abby.” She could almost feel the sweet smile on Clarke’s mom’s face when she replied while stroking Clarke’s back, her other hand on her shoulder.
“The, uh, storm’s passing. How’s Finn doing?”
“I think he’ll be okay.” She declared with a trembling voice, as if she was mainly trying to convince herself that he was going to recover more than stating a fact to her mother.
“Oh, that’s thanks to you.” Abby assured, softly. “I’m so proud of you. Clarke, your father would be so proud too.” Michelle’s hand slipped off her friend’s back when she stood up and walked over to the radio on the table.
“Don’t talk about him.” She articulated.
“Clarke?” Abby sounded confused. “Baby, I know something else is wrong. Please tell me what it is.”
“Dad’s dead because of you.” She cried out. “You turned him in; I know it. Michelle knows it too. Wells told us everything before he—” She paused, wiping her nose and cheeks. “He let me believe that he did it, so that I’d hate him instead of you.”
“Clarke.” It was hard to talk about for Abby as well. She took a few seconds of silence. “Clarke, I want you to listen to me; That was never supposed to happen. Jaha was supposed to talk him out of it—”
“Oh, I’m done talking to you.” Clarke yelled, hitting the radio in frustration. Michelle rushed by her side and grabbed her hand. She stared at the transmission, tears blurring her clear eyes.
“It’s okay. Clarke.” Michelle let go of her friend’s hand and grabbed her shoulders to keep her in front of her and she then hugged her, stroking her back, letting her cry on her shoulder. “He’ll be okay.”
Michelle was sitting at the table on which was the radio. There was a constant buzzing sound since Clarke had disconnected it when she hit it earlier and the young woman was staring at it, biting her lips, having an internal discussion with herself. She was hesitant to get the signal back and try to reach out to her mother to speak to her. She missed her so much, but she was a little bitter, remembering when she got sedated after she got out solitary confinement and her mother was one of the last faces she saw before waking up in the dropship. She realized she had been sitting in silence, staring at the radio for a moment when everyone came back down and she turned on the chair to pretend she was just bored and doing nothing because of it. Most didn’t even glance at her but when Clarke came down to check on Finn, Michelle stood up.
“He’s been asleep the whole time. I think he’s done with the seizures. He’s recovering. You did it.” She praised her best friend to cheer her up a little.
“Did you talk to your mom?” She wondered in a soft voice and pursed her lips as Michelle shook her head, shrugging.
“I’ll talk to her later. I didn’t feel like it just now.” She assured before stepping out of the dropship to enjoy the after-storm sun piercing through the clouds. She watched everyone busy themselves around the camp, the mud drying under the sun’s heat.
“Hey.” Michelle turned around and saw Clarke walking out the dropship. She then started walking alongside the blonde across the camp, listening to the chatters as they cleaned up the mess left by the storm. It wasn’t so bad in the end. They would worry about the Grounder threat tomorrow.
“We’ll get it cleaned up.” Bellamy declared as Clarke and Michelle walked by him.
“I wish this was our only mess.” She replied, taking a few steps away.
“Clarke.” Michelle glanced at Bellamy, and so did he when they called out to her at the same time. He reached out for her hand and grabbed the huge screw she was holding in between her fingers. Michelle assumed they used it on the Grounders given the blood that stained it. He seemed to have wisen up since they saw each other on the last floor of the dropship, where they kept the Grounder hostage. He was calmer and looked at the two in the eyes.
“Who we are and who we need ot be to survive are very different things.”
“What are we gonna do with him?” She asked after a brif thoughtful silence and glanced at the dropship. “We can’t keep him locked up forever.”
“If we let him go, he’ll be back and not alone next time.”
“Okay, so what’s the plan, general?” Michelle taunted, keeping a straight face. He rolled his eyes and turned his face to her with a smirk.
“You’re the soldier. Come up with a strategy plan.” She scoffed and he turned his head to Clarke, pursing his lips. “Not easy being in charge, is it?”
Clarke and Michelle stood there together as he walked away, leaving the two of them alone. Maybe he wasn’t such a jackass. He could be nice and not so dumb.

Meet Them (Pt 15 of Pen Pals)
Author: @allthings-fantasy
Pairing: Bellamy x Reader
Word Count: 2431
Summary: Bellamy is invited to meet the readers parents
Authors Notes: As much as I would love to see this series go on forever, there will only be a few more parts left!!
Part 14 All Other Parts: MASTERLIST
“Y/N Y/L/N will you marry me?”
“Yes.”
Those words rung in your head for hours that night. Your cheeks remained stained with tears from Bellamy sliding the ring on your finger. You couldn’t keep your eyes off of it. The entire ride home you stared at the diamond on your hand, gently running a finger over it. It was perfect. You were engaged to Bellamy. Your soldier.
The rest of the night went by in a blur. Bellamy scooped you up in his arms and carried you back to his Rover. As soon as you got to his apartment it was nothing but hands, mouths, and discarded clothing. The two of you stayed locked together until you almost collapsed from exhaustion. That night you feel asleep with only a thin layer of sweat on your body and the ring.
It wasn’t the alarm that woke you up the next morning. It was the feeling of a hand sliding up your thigh, the lips against your shoulder. That’s what woke you up. Letting out a small sigh, you arched your back pressing tighter against Bellamy. “Mmm, good morning.” You felt his chest vibrate as he spoke. The deep sound sent a shiver down your spine.
Rolling over in his arms, you faced him with a sleepy smile on your face. “Morning to you too.” He smirked at you before pressing a small kiss to your lips. Bellamy’s hand shifted up from your thigh to your ass, squeezing. You melted into his touch, becoming a complete puddle of need in his grasp.
“I can’t believe I get to wake up to this every day.” He murmured as he nipped at your neck. The feeling of his teeth scraping across your sensitive flesh had you groaning. There was still an ache in your legs from the night before, but you knew Bellamy would ease it.
You opened your mouth to respond, but the sound of your phone ringing cut you off. A groan ripped from your mouth, this time out of frustration in replace of pleasure. Bellamy sighed and let his arms go limp around you, making it easier for you slip from his grasp. Rolling over, you snagged the phone from the nightstand. “Hello?”
“Sweetie! I didn’t think you were going to answer! It’s almost 10 are you still in bed?!” Your mother’s voice rang from the other end of the line, making you flinch slightly. You loved that woman, you really did, but gosh was she ever peppy in the morning.
“Uh yeah, late night last night.” You smirked over at Bellamy, keeping the phone pressed to your ear.
Your mother sighed. “Well, I was just calling to see if you were still coming to that BBQ your father insists on having? You haven’t been home in forever and it would be nice to see you.” As her words sunk in your eyes widened, a small gasp escaped your lips as you sat up. “You forgot didn’t you?”
A small whine left you as you pinched the bridge of your nose. “Mom, I’m so sorry. I’ll be there. I promise. It’s at 5, right?”
“Yes! Oh, honey I’m so happy you’re coming.” Just from the sound of her voice you could tell she had a big smile on your face.
You glanced back at Bellamy with a small smile on her face. “Hey mom, you remember Bellamy?” You watched as his face contorted into more confusion, your smile growing bigger. “If he’s free today is it okay if I bring him along? He’s pretty important and I want you guys to meet him.”
Your mother gasped. “Of course! Y/N I have been asking to meet him for weeks! Yes, bring him!”
Another five minutes went by before you were finally able to get your mother off the phone. Tossing the phone on the bed, you turned to Bellamy with a big cheesy smile on your face. “Soooo, do you happen to be free tonight around... say five?”
He scoffed and nodded. “If it’s for you, of course I’m free.”
Leaning forward, you pressed your lips to his. “I love you so much.”
After that, the two of you drug yourselves out of bed. You ate breakfast together before Bellamy dropped you off at you apartment in order for you to get ready. At 3:30 you left to pick up Bellamy. It took about 40 minutes to get to your parents house and your mother would probably need help setting up.
You pulled into your parents driveway at 4:30. Turning off the engine, you turned to Bellamy and gave him a small smile. “Are you nervous?”
He shrugged and unbuckled his seat belt. “Just hope they like me, that’s all.”
“They’ll love you, I’m sure of it.” You smiled a little bigger as you stepped out of your car, shutting the door behind you. Bellamy came and stood by your side. Reaching out, you interlaced your fingers with his before stepping up to the front door. You didn’t even have the chance to knock, your mom was already jerking the door wide open.
She released a small squeal and engulfed you in a suffocating hug. “Aw, Y/N I’m so happy you’re here.” Your mother swayed you from side to side, still squeezing you.
You let out a small laugh, gently patting her back. “Hey uh mom, can’t really breathe.”
Her arms loosened in an instant. “Right sorry.” She smiled at you before glancing over your shoulder, her eyes widened slightly. “And who is this?”
A blush covered your cheeks as you turned back to Bellamy, standing beside him. “Mom, this is my boyfriend, Bellamy. Bellamy, this is my mother, Karen.”
Bellamy held his hand out to shake your mother’s hand, a sweet smile on his lips. “It’s nice to meet you, Mrs. Y/L/N.”
You could see your mother blush under Bell’s gaze, you knew how she felt. He still made you feel butterflies. “Oh please, call me Karen.” Her hand patted the back of his. “Please, come in.” She moved back and allowed the both of you to walk in the house.
The smell of charcoal and spices filled your nose. You smiled at the image of your dad standing in front of the grill. He always did make the best steaks. Karen moved around the two of you, pushing the glass door open to the back deck. “Michael, get in here and greet you daughter and her boyfriend!” You laughed as your mother swatted your father’s shoulder.
He set down the tongs and spun around, his face splitting into a huge grin. “There’s my little bug!” Michael stepped inside and wrapped his arms around you. “Glad you could make it, sweetheart.”
“Good to see you too dad.” You pulled back from him in order to introduce Bellamy again.
The two men shook hands, you dad eyeing him cautiously. “Firm grip you got there, boy.”
You pinched the bridge of your nose. “Dad ser-”
“No, it’s okay.” Bellamy let out a small laugh. “Being in the army made my grip a little tighter over the years.” He smirked over at you before looking back at you parents. “It’s great to finally meet you guys, Y/N talks about you a lot.”
“Oh please, it’s our pleasure. Every time she speaks there’s always something to say about you.” Karen gushed and walked into the kitchen, pulling out some glasses.
You looked at Bellamy, a question in your eyes. He smiled and gave you a reassuring nod. This was it, you were going to tell your parents you were engaged. You were surprised she didn’t noticed the ring on your finger. You were a little nervous for their reactions. The two of you haven’t been together that long, but he was it for you. Bellamy was your one.
“So guys, we do have some exciting uh news.” Your mother paused pouring herself a glass of tea and your father turned on his heels, mid sip.
Karen’s eyes widened as she sat the pitcher down. “You’re pregnant?!” Your dad choked on his drink, hitting himself in the chest.
You felt your jaw go slack as the palm of your hand rested against your forehead. “What?! No! Mom, no!” A nervous laugh escaped your lips as you shook your head. You turned to Bellamy, whose cheeks were probably redder than yours. One of his arms wrapped around your waist, giving you a supportive squeeze. “We’re uh... we’re engaged.” You held up a shaky hand, giving your parents a full view of the ring on your finger.
For a moment everyone was silent, no one moved or spoke. There was a series of emotions that passed across your mothers features. You watched as she switched from shocked, to realization, to happy. “Oh sweetheart!” Karen came to the other side of the bar and threw her arms around both you and Bellamy. “I can’t believe this when did it happen?!”
“I asked her last night, ma’am.” There was a sense of pride in Bellamy’s voice as he looked up at your mother.
Karen gripped one of the bar stools and took a seat, her one hand still on Bellamy’s. “I want to know exactly how it happened.” Your mother’s reaction was enough to distract you from seeing your father slip out the back door and to the deck.
“I’m sure Bellamy will tell you everything.” You patted both of them on the back before stepping out onto the deck. Michael had his back towards you, flipping whatever meat he had on the grill. “Hey dad?” He turned his head slightly to the side, acknowledging your presence. “You alright?” You knew it was a stupid question to ask. His shoulders were tense and he wasn’t talking, therefore he wasn’t alright. You went over to the table and sat down on the bench. “You gonna talk or are you just gonna keep staring at that steak?”
He let out a grunt and shut the lid of the grill. “How long have you guys been together?”
You sighed, crossing your arms over your chest. “Dad... I know it’s not as long as you would’ve probably liked us to be together but... He makes me happy dad.” You looked up at him, your eyes pleading with his.
Michael huffed and sat down beside you. “How do you know it’ll last?”
“I don’t know. No one knows for sure. But I’ve never felt more sure of anything in my life. He brings out this entirely different side of me, a side of me that sees the everything so much brighter. I even showed him the wave breathing thing...” He let a smile crack onto his lips at the mention of it. “I love him, dad. I really and truly do.” Your tongue reached out and swiped across our bottom lip. “I want to marry him.”
Your dad ran a hand over his face. “I can see it in his eyes when he looks at you... that boy is head over heels for you.” Michael’s hand reached out and patted your leg. “If he makes you happy, then I guess that’s good enough for me.”
Your smile grew wider, slinging an arm around his shoulder. “You’re the best.”
Not long after that, the rest of your family and parent’s neighbors started showing up. Your mother made sure to brag about how romantic Bellamy was, how beautiful the ring was he picked out. You lost count of how many times people asked you to see the ring.
The rest of the night went off without a hitch. Your entire family loved Bellamy. Everyone ate together, played a few yard games, before you knew it it was almost 11. A small yawn pushed out of you. Bellamy rubbed your back, the action making your sleepier. “You tired, princess?”
You nodded your head, leaning your head on his shoulder. About two hours ago your dad had started a fire, insisting that it wasn’t a proper BBQ without smores. Now you were stuffed with marshmallow, sitting beside the fire with the love of your life. “We can get going if you want... didn’t get much sleep last night.” Bellamy murmured the last bit, making your insides feel tingly.
“Yeah we can head out.” Most of the people had left by this point anyways. Only about five other people remained. Bellamy stood first, pulling you to your feet. He kept his arm around you, keeping you tucked into his side. Bellamy was so warm.
Karen was walking back outside, a fresh batch of margaritas for her and the woman next door, Abby. “Aw, are you guys leaving?”
You nodded at your mom, a sleepy smile resting on your lips. “Yeah, been a long day. We’re both pretty tired.”
She pouted and set the glasses down on the table. Her arms wrapped around you first, giving you a small peck on the cheek. “Please don’t take too long to visit us again. It’s nice having you around.”
“I promise, mom. You can help me plan.” A flicker of excitement ignited in her eyes as she nodded.
Your mom directed her attention to Bellamy. Instead of a handshake, she brought him in for a hug. It made you smile, seeing your mother take such a liking towards him. “You two make sure you say goodbye to your father, alright?”
Saying goodbye to you father wasn’t as touchy feely as it was with your mom. He gave you a quick hug and Bellamy another handshake and that was that. You were grateful when Bellamy offered to drive, you could barely keep your eyes open.
It only seemed like seconds passed and Bellamy was pulling into your apartment complex. You stretched in the passenger seat, blinking the sleep from your eyes. Glancing over at Bellamy, you saw him sitting still, staring at the hands in his lap. “You alright, Bell?”
It seemed as if your words snapped him out of whatever trance he was in. “Uh yeah, sorry... I was just thinking.”
Your eyebrows furrowed and you shifted in the seat to face him more. “About what?”
He huffed, smiling lightly. “I was thinking that maybe we could move in together... seeing as we’re getting married and all.”
The question made your heart flutter. You obviously assumed you would move in together sooner or later. But you definitely liked the idea of sooner. “As long as I get to move in with you... Your place is bigger.” You leaned over and placed a small kiss on his lips. “And your bed is bigger.”

Down Below (Chapter 74)
Summary: After being sent down on Earth with the other prisoners from the Ark, Y/N Reyes faces series of events and learns about survival. With new things happening around her, she is now starting a new chapter in her life.
Pairing: Bellamy Blake x reader, John Murphy x reader, Raven Reyes x sister!reader
Word Count: 2k words
Warning: swearing

'Wake up, John!' I giggled as I jumped on him, tickling him on his bare chest.
'Why do I have to wake up in a crack of dawn?' Murphy groaned, putting his hands over his face.
'Because, today is the day.' I smiled. It may be an overreaction and dramatic but I've been waiting for this date and alone time with him.
'Y/N, you know I said 7PM, not AM right?'
'I know, I know but I'm just too excited.' It had been a while since I felt a sense of relaxation and safety. Coming to Sanctum was doubtful at first, but turned out this might be the best decision we've ever made.
John peeked from between his fingers, smiling as he looked at me. 'That's adorable.'
'What's adorable?'
'You being happy, smiling and not having to care about anything.' He pulled me in closer, lifting his head to kiss me. 'That smile, it looks good on you.'
I cheesed even more, probably blushing a little bit also. It was nice to have someone care and love me the way John did, made me realize that these past several years were terrible. I still didn't know if I deserved all this or not but it felt good to have this in my life.
'John, I love you.' I paused, not expecting those words to come out the way it did. Murphy thought the same way, smile fading away as his facial expression changed immediately.
Embarrassed and scared, I got off of John and gathered my clothes off the floor. 'I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that. I mean, I do but no, no I mean I don't.'
My mind was all over the place, mostly feeling foolish after seeing John's face after I said what I had said. He got up out of bed also, trying to pull me back in. 'Y/N, just wait. Let's talk about this.'
'No, no. I think I'm good for now.' Slipping my legs through my pants, I grabbed my shirt.
'Are you sure?'
'Yes, yes. I'm good.' The whole time I faced my back towards him, I didn't want to show my face. The words I didn't mean to say at all, it just slipped out at that moment. But it didn't matter because John was surprised, his face just said it all.
This time, John reached out for my arm. I still avoided eye contact, pretending as if I was looking for my boots when I knew damn well where it was. 'I'll see you tonight at our meeting spot right?'
'Sure.' I tugged my arm, grabbed my boots and walked out before he asked me more questions that I didn't want to answer.
All good things must come to an end, I knew that especially because of my luck. I just hoped that it didn't come so soon.
✤ · ✤ · ✤ · ✤ · ✤
Rushing out of John's room, I ran to get a quick breakfast. Even after leaving, I felt a sense of embarrassment as if everyone knew what was going wrong and they were judging me.
'You look guilty of something.' Turning around, I noticed Bellamy sitting by himself at the table. He flashed a smile, 'You can sit here if you'd like.'
With a plate of food in my hand, I tried to figure out whether or not it was a good idea to sit with Bellamy. I was still angry about the decisions he made about Diyoza and Octavia but at the same time, maybe talking to him would've gave me a better understanding on what was really going on in his mind.
And to be completely honest, Bellamy's smile was too convincing. He was inviting, yet I knew behind his smile he was sad, angry, all the feelings I felt back when I was at the bunker. I felt guilt, perhaps I should keep him company.
'You know, if this is weird between us you don't have to force yourself.'
'Ah, I'll sit with you.' I smiled back, taking a seat across from him. 'Did you have fun last night?'
'Yeah, it was interesting. Haven't drank that much since Unity Day.'
Unity Day; it brought back so many memories. The years where me and Bellamy's friendship started, maybe around the time when I stopped hating him completely.
Bellamy saw the expression on my face, given the fact that I thought about a nice and nostalgic yet sad memory, he seemed confused. 'Are you okay?'
'Yeah, just thinking about the old days. You know, we had some good times together. We've been through a lot, but it was nice.'
He nodded, 'And I ruined everything.'
Everything was ruined, but it wasn't entirely his fault. I had my bad reasons and Bellamy had his, we've both made mistakes on our parts which lead to our broken relationship. 'It's not just you.'
'But we've tried to make peace, with everything that happened with you and that bunker. I should've just been honest with you from the start.'
'I wasn't completely honest with you either, until everything fell apart and I didn't have a choice. We both should've told each other everything the moment we saw each other again.'
'Do you really think it would've been different? If we were honest?'
'Of course I do.'
Bellamy sighed, 'But now you're with Murphy and he loved you for so long, so would it have really been different?'
I paused, thinking about the possibilities that may have had me ending up with Murphy. The truth of the matter was, I wouldn't know for sure if everything would've been different if we done things differently.
'Good morning, family.' Raven interrupted my thoughts as she skipped in, leaving a kiss on the top of my head. 'You guys aren't tearing each other's head. Must be a good sign.'
Bellamy and I made eye contact, he bit his lip and got up. 'You two have a nice morning, I'm going to go get some fresh air.'
'Okay then, see you later.' Raven watched Bellamy leave the room then quickly looked back at me. 'Why are you two acting awkward?'
'We weren't.'
'You two looked at each other before he left. I'm not dumb.'
'I never said you were.'
Raven rolled her eyes, 'Stop trying to change the topic of our conversation. What did you and Bellamy talk about?'
'What's this about Bellamy and Y/N?' Miller joined in, 'I thought you were with Murphy.'
'I am with John.' A flashback of this morning popped in my head, feeling embarrassed again. 'Well, I think we are. I don't know.'
'What? I thought you were having a date with him tonight.'
'A date? Can I come?' Clarke came out of nowhere, joining our table as well. 'Well when I mean "can I come" I mean just you and me of course.'
Raven let out a soft laugh. 'I didn't know you and Y/N became such good friends.'
Clarke puckered her lips, placing her hands on her hips. 'Well despite the recent events, I don't completely hate her.'
'And now you want a date with her?' Miller looked at her and then to me. 'And the "recent events" I recall are a whole bunch of bullshit between you two that went off for years.'
'Thing change, right?' Clarke eyed me and smirked, 'Doesn't mean everything has to stay like the way it was before.'
Gaia called for Clarke from the other side of the room, seeing as though there might be trouble with Madi. She winked with a smile on her face before she walked away.
Miller cackled, covering his mouth to make sure he wasn't too loud. 'Murphy has been a lot of things in the past but don't cheat on the dude.'
Raven joined in the laughter while I rolled my eyes. 'Planning a threesome? You know he's going to get jealous.'
'And you also have Bellamy jealousy you have to worry about too.' Miller added.
'You guys are so annoying. Besides, get your head out the gutter. There was nothing going on.'
'Uhm, nothing?' Miller shook his head. 'She was flirting so hard with you. We all saw it, don't deny it.'
Raven and Miller continued to laugh, just as John appeared from outside. He greeted both of them, then placed his hand on my shoulder. 'We're still meeting tonight right?'
Avoiding his eye contact, I nodded my head. 'I'll see you later, John.'
He squeezed my shoulder before he left, noticing that I was still dragging the event that happened earlier.
'You're feeling something with Clarke now, aren't you?' Raven chuckled.
I rolled my eyes, not wanting to tell them about how I spilled those three words to him. Acting as though nothing happened between me and Murphy, I laughed a little. 'She wishes.'
✤ · ✤ · ✤ · ✤ · ✤
It was nine minutes past seven. I wanted to be a tad late, not wanting to seem desperate. I couldn't lie, I was dreading to see him. I've been thinking about the first words we were going to say to each other.
Of course I loved him, I've always loved him. John had been there for me since the beginning, when my issues with my family and Marcus were at its peak.
I've never wanted to pressure nor confuse him, this was new to me and him. We've been "together" but everything pretty much ended after we were both sent to the Skybox. Besides, we were a bunch of teenagers and so young. Being with John this time around felt so different, felt real and amazing.
It was just the heat of the moment, I honestly don't know how I feel a 100% yet either. Not to mention John didn't say it back. All the feelings and emotions were overwhelming and unfamiliar, since I've hid that part of me the last six years.
After a few more minutes on contemplating on whether or not I should show my face, I decided to get up and go to the staircase where I was supposed to meet John.
To my surprise, he wasn't there yet even after I was several minutes late. Maybe he had changed his mind last minute, sparing his time for some other important things.
I've watched the sun go down, continuing to wait on John for over an hour. The outside of the palace was practically empty now since the people of sanctum started to gather with their family for dinner.
My heart started to hurt as I felt rejected from John, I was really regretting the words I said to him this morning.
'Hey, what are you doing alone in the dark?' Clarke smiled as she saw me, suddenly changing her facial expressing as tears fell from my eyes. 'Y/N, are you okay?'
'Yeah, yeah I'm fine.' Not noticing her sneaking up to me, I quickly wiped the tears away. 'Have you seen John?'
She bit her lip, looking down the village as she leaned on the railing. 'What do you see in him anyways? I think you deserve better.'
I sighed, 'If this is about you convincing me to be with Bellamy, I-'
'Bellamy?' Clarke chuckled, 'Oh no. You're so much better than these people. I don't think you realize your worth.'
It was nice that she thought that about me, I've never thought I'd hear compliments from her. 'Thanks, that means a lot.'
'John Murphy is just so weak, you know? He squirms too much, kept complaining about how he had to meet you here tonight. Then threatened to kill me if I'd ever hurt you, and I would never hurt your pretty face.'
'Squirm? What are you talking about?'
'I'm talking about us, Y/N.' She scooted closer to me, grabbing me by my hand. 'I want you to know that he's not good for you. I'll take care of you, Y/N.'
I couldn't understand where all of this was coming from. Why John would say such things to Clarke, and why Clarke was suddenly so interested in me. Nothing added up and none of this made sense.
Just as I was about to ask her a question, Clarke grabbed my cheek and pressed her lips onto mine. It took me a while to realize that Clarke was actually kissing me.
Quickly pulling away, she gazed into my eyes and breathed heavily. 'What's going on? I-I'm so confused. Why did John say those things to you?'
'Because I hurt him. Well, not me directly but my people did.'
'My people? What the hell are you talking about?'
She laughed devilishly, I've never heard Clarke laugh like this before. 'You're pretty but a little slow in the head, huh. That's really adorable though, kind of a turn on actually.'
'Clarke, Wha-'
'I'm not Clarke.' She grinned as she traced my skin with her finger, working her way up to my shoulder blades. 'She's gone.'

The Innocent Girl // Part Thirty-One: Traps and Blockades // Bellamy Blake
gif is not mine; can’t find source unfortunately
Words: 4300+
Warnings: Betrayal? Them thinking it’s a betrayal. A hint of fluff!
Author’s Note: We’re are super duper close to the end of season 3. My god. I honestly can’t believe it. I wanna believe it’s taking me so long to write this season is because one; I haven’t been able to write a lot because I mentally don’t feel like it and two; this is like my least favorite season. Season 4 is a favorite of mine, so I’m hoping to get caught up in writing this that it’ll be out faster than y’all can snap your fingers. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this. Thanks to the lovely, @lovefilledtragedy for reading this over and helping me with it! Much appreciated xox
Octavia and I manage to sneak our way back into camp without anyone finding out. She’s more dangerous being here than I am, but if they see me with her I’ll lose their trust immediately. We get into the position we were told to get in, waiting for Harper’s signal.
“Package is on the move. I repeat the package is on the move. We are a go,” her voice comes through the radio, static following behind her as O holds the radio up to her lips. “Okay, S, is your team in position?”
“Roger that. We’re in position and ready to intercept,” she replies.
Octavia and I pry open the floor paneling, getting into it as we can hear the footsteps of the guards and prisoners coming closer. I can hear the distinct chatter of Pike ordering his team around before the door to the room opens. The two of us wait for a little bit before revealing ourselves, telling them to get in the floor while O and I drug the two guards standing outside the door.
After completing part of the mission, we get back into the floor just in time to hear footsteps running down the hall. The door bursts open as I kept my eyes on the floor paneling above us, my breathing becoming slightly heavier as it was way too small in this confined space. A loud bang was heard as Pike yelled, “damn.”
“The guys are fine, sir. They must’ve drugged them,” someone tells him.
“We did what they wanted us to do,” Pike says and pauses for a few moments as footsteps were heard once more. “That won’t happen again.” All the footsteps grow farther away before Octavia stands up, removing the paneling.
She climbs out, grabbing the rifles and Kane follows after her, grunting a bit. “It’s a bit tight in there,” he mentions as Sinclair and Lincoln follow suit.
“Try doing it for sixteen years,” Octavia tells him as I get out, placing the paneling back as she unlocks everyone’s restraints. She crouches down in front of Lincoln as I grab one of the rifle’s, throwing the strap over my shoulder. “Hey, we’ll come back for Danae and the others… I promise.”
Abby comes into the room, along with Miller and Bryan as the radio goes off, Harper’s voice coming through the radio. “Okay, S, come in.”
“What is it?” Lincoln asks as Octavia quickly grabs the radio off of her hip.
“This wasn’t the plan,” O mutters before continuing, “we used their frequencies so they could hear us. Go ahead!”
“Stay where you are,” she whispers into the radio, “repeat stay where you are. The exit is not clear.”
I curse quietly, running my hands through my hair. “How many guards?” Octavia asks quickly.
“Too many. Stay put.”
We wait for Harper’s signal before Monty’s voice comes over the radio, my eyes widening at what he says. “Calling all guards. The prisoners are heading for the main gate. I repeat the prisoners are heading for the main gate, over!”
“That was Monty,” Octavia breathes and a smile comes to my lips, knowing he’d come through eventually.
“Guess he’s with us after all,” Miller mutters.
“I could find out,” Kane mentions.
“We don’t know that,” Abby states in a hushed whisper. “What we do know is that we have to move.”
The eight of us begin to make our way towards the secret area we use to get in and out of camp, keeping a close eye out for any guards lingering around. We get there rather quickly without causing any attention before we begin to file into the small opening.
“Go, go, go,” Kane mutters to me and Harper as we crawl through.
“Attention all citizens. Emergency lockdown is in effect. Return to your quarters immediately.”
Sinclair crawls through as Kane whispers to Abby to get in and she tells him she’s not going, mentioning that people need her to get them out of the dark. She started to ramble on about it when Kane places a hand around the back of her neck, connecting his lips with hers. My eyes widen, not expecting that one bit. It’s cute though.
“I have a message for the traitors in this camp,” Pike’s voice comes through the radio, having all of us halt our movements to listen. “There will be an execution today. Either turn yourselves in or the other grounder prisoners will die in your place.”
“Let’s go,” Octavia mutters, pushing Lincoln towards the opening but he doesn’t move, just stares down at her before he moves around her and she grabs his arm in a slight panic. “No, wait.”
“I can’t let them die because of me,” he tells her.
“Lincoln, please,” she begs, “we’re almost out.”
Kane takes a step towards Lincoln, placing a hand onto his arm. “I know what you’re feeling, but they’re searching the station. We need to go now.”
“You should,” Lincoln mumbles while nodding his head.
“Fine,” O starts, “I’m going with you. We fight together.”
My heart falls into my stomach as I lean half of my body out. “Octavia, no. They’ll kill you, please,” I beg, feeling my eyes begin to water at the situation at hand.
Lincoln nods his head slowly, softly smiling down at her as he got closer to her. “I love you,” he whispers before leaning down to place a kiss to her lips. I bite my lip, watching as he grabs something before sticking it into her neck.
“No,” she whispers before passing out. He picks her up and gives her to Kane, telling him to get her out of here before he walks out of the room. I help Kane get Octavia through the opening as he climbed in himself, beginning to make out way out of the station.
-
Kane drapes Octavia over her horse, leading him as we walk through the woods. She slowly begins to waken as I heard her whisper Lincoln’s name before she falls off Helios. I quickly move towards her, helping her up as we walk through a small clearing. The two of us see everyone outside, Lincoln slowly falling to his knees.
“No,” O and I whisper at the same time and I grip her hand in mine, my vision becoming blurry from the tears. My body shakes as the gun goes off, Lincoln falling to the ground while a couple of sobs leave my lips. May we meet again, Lincoln.
We start to make our way towards the cave again, eerie silence filling the group. It takes us about twenty minutes before we reach the cave, everyone else walking into the cave first. I set my hands onto my hips before taking a deep breath, trying to process what had just happened.
“Where’s Lincoln?” Bellamy asks once his eyes met mine, noticing no one else coming in afterward.
“Pike put a bullet in his brain,” O bluntly states and I swallow thickly, knowing this isn’t gonna end well.
Bellamy’s eyes met her figure, a look of sadness on his face. “O… I’m so sorry,” he mumbles as she takes off her jacket before punching him in the face.
She threw a couple more punches and I wince before looking away, not being able to see the man I love get the shit kicked out of him… even if he deserved it. “Octavia, that’s enough,” Kane calmly tells her.
“Kane, stay out of this,” Bellamy states, hearing Octavia throw another punch. The beating continues as I turn slightly to see him on his knees, face full of blood and she knees him straight in the face.
“Alright, that’s enough,” Miller mutters and tries to stop her as she sobs, pushing him away from her.
“Miller, back off,” Bellamy pants.
I can’t stop my hands from shaking, everything that’s happening becoming too much for me as I quietly whimper out his nickname. “Freckles…” The curly-haired man’s eyes met mine as a few tears roll down my cheeks before his gaze moves back to O’s.
She lets out a scream, continuing to punch him over and over until he falls to the floor. “You’re dead to me,” she tells him before walking away.
Miller and Bryan begin to start a fire, everyone sitting around it about ten feet away from Bellamy. I stood near Kane, biting my nails as they talked about putting people on guard duty. My eyes stay on Bellamy as he leans his head against the rock wall, sniffling a bit before letting out a deep breath.
I mutter that I’ll be right back, heading towards the beaten and chained up man, not hearing anyone telling me to stop which is good. His brown eyes look at me as I walk over, kneeling down in front of him before sitting down completely.
We sat in silence for a good minute, hearing the group behind me chatter about what we’re going to do when I begin to speak up. “How’s your face? Does it hurt?” I ask quietly, afraid my voice will crack if I go any louder.
Bellamy shakes his head, giving me a half-smile before grabbing my hands. “No, not really. Bet I look terrible though,” he jokes and I chuckle a bit. The smile quickly turns into a frown, his thumbs rubbing the back of my hands softly. “I’m so sorry, Angel. God, I’m so sorry for everything.”
I scoot closer to him, trying not to tear up as I gently place a hand to his cheek. “It’s okay,” I whisper before my hand drops to his chest. “You were doing what you thought was right. I understand. We’re human. We make mistakes.”
“I love you. I wish things were different,” he mumbles while intertwining our fingers. I nod my head, swallowing the lump in my throat before moving beside him, resting my head against his shoulder.
“She’ll come around,” I reassure him while my eyes are planted on Octavia’s back.
“I’m not so sure about that, Angel.”
There’s a quick silence throughout everyone after Kane had asked how we can get back to being the thirteenth clan and killing Pike when the radio goes off. “Bellamy, come in,” Monty’s voice echoes off the walls in the cave, everyone’s eyes moving towards the device. “It’s Monty, I’m in trouble. Please say you still have your radio.”
Sinclair grabs it, holding his hand out as Kane tries to grab it. “If we respond and Pike’s listening-”
“We go to channel seven,” Bellamy cuts him off, Kane and Sinclair’s eyes darting towards us. ““Please say you still have your radio,” that’s seven words after the word trouble. It’s code, go to seven.”
Kane glances between Bellamy and Sinclair before he gives him the go-ahead. The mechanic turns it to channel seven before handing it over to the ex-Chancellor. “Bellamy, are you there?” Monty’s voice asks.
“Monty, it’s Kane,” the older man starts, his eyes staying on Bellamy and I. “What’s wrong?” He asks and we wait for Monty to respond.
“Pike knows that I helped you get out,” he tells us and I fiddle around with Bellamy’s guard jacket, worried about one of my best friends. God, I left Audrey there… and Jasper, but Jasper isn’t… Jasper anymore.
“Can you get to the dropship?” Kane questions before taking his finger off the button on the walkie.
“I think so,” Monty answers.
“Good. Go there, I’ll bring you in,” he informs the teen and Kane’s gaze moves to Bellamy’s once more. “Stay off the radio. Over and out.”
We all sat in silence for a few moments when Bell nudges me. I lift myself off his chest, glancing up at him as he just sighs before nodding his head towards the rest of the crew. “Go sit with them, alright?” He mentions to me and I furrow my eyebrows together. Before I can even get a word in, Bellamy leans down to press a quick kiss to my forehead. “Don’t question me, just go.”
I nod my head, listening to the older Blake and I stand up from my spot, walking over before planting myself down by Octavia. The brunette glances over at me and I give her a small smile. I’m surprised that she returns it even though it’s barely a smile, but something. I pat her leg sympathetically as Harper speaks up.
“Hold on, what if it’s a trap and Pike’s waiting?”
“That’s why I’m going alone,” Kane mutters and stands up. Oh hell no. Sinclair, Octavia, and I all stand up simultaneously.
“Like hell you are.”
“I don’t think so.”
Octavia and I say at the same time, her machete tightly grasped in her hand.
“I’m with them,” Miller starts and drapes the strap to his rifle over his shoulder. “Monty saved our lives. I’m going, too.”
“No you’re not,” Kane mutters and looks towards Miller and Bryan. “If it is a trap, I’m not marching our entire insurgency into it.”
Octavia finishes putting her jacket on when she pipes in. “To stop me, you’re gonna have to kill me.”
“She hopes it’s a trap,” Bellamy informs us as O and I glance back at him, his gaze directed right at his younger sister.
“He’s coming, too,” she says and my lips part.
“Wait Octav-”
“We need a hostage to trade for Monty,” she cuts me off as her eyes are planted on me. I quickly shut my mouth, nodding my head before looking back towards Bellamy.
Kane nods his head, glancing at everyone. “That’s a good plan. He stays chained, gag him,” he orders and I head over to my stuff, grabbing my rifle and machete, attaching the melee weapon to my jeans.
“Sir, with all due respect-”
“He’s the enemy,” Kane cuts Miller off and I close my eyes, letting out a deep breath. Christ, this is hard. I wish I was still angry at him for choosing Pike’s side so this wasn’t so difficult. “Do what I said.”
-
The four of us arrive at the dropship and flashbacks of memories flowing through my mind as Octavia and Kane have a hold on Bellamy who’s walking in front of them. I aim my gun behind us, making sure our six is clear as we begin to make our way through the opening.
“Monty?!” Kane calls out and I turn around, moving to stand beside Octavia as silence fills the air. “We got here first,” he mutters and begins to make our way further into the old camp.
“No we didn’t,” Octavia growls and roughly grabs a hold of her brother.
“What are you doing?” Kane asks as the younger Blake holds her sword inches from her brother's neck, continuing forward.
“Get outside!” She yells loudly, her eyes trained on the opening of the dropship. “Now!”
The flap moves as Monty steps out, his hands bound together as Kane and I had our guns aimed at the door. A gun peak out from behind him as Pike holds it against the teen’s head.
“They followed me. I’m sorry,” he apologizes.
I thickly swallow, standing guard as I look through the reticle, training it onto Pike’s head. “Let him go, Pike,” Kane yells out.
“Can’t do that,” the Chancellor notifies us. The older man brings a radio up to his lips, muttering something into it before a gunshot goes off fairly close to us. I jump slightly, aiming my gun in the direction the bullet came from as Kane kept his trained on Pike. “It’s over. Put down your weapons.”
“Shoot him,” O whispers at Kane, narrowing her eyes at the Chancellor.
“Monty’s in the shot,” Kane whispers back as another gunshot goes off, the bullet colliding with my shin.
A scream leaves my lips as I fall to the ground, clenching my teeth. “Motherfucker,” I painfully grunt and look up at Octavia to see her eyes locked on me. Bellamy shifts in her grasp, his eyes wide with fear swimming in them as she manages to keep a hold on him.
You okay? She mouths to me and I painfully nod my head, looking down at my wound to see it was a through and through.
“I promised Monty’s mother that I’d bring him home alive,” Pike continues as I take part of my shirt, ripping the bottom of it before tying it around the wound to try and stop it from bleeding. “Don’t make me a liar.”
I slowly get back up, grabbing my rifle as a scowl sets on my lips, aiming the gun at Pike. We stand still in silence a few more moments before Kane lowers his gun.
“Kane, no,” Octavia mutters, sounding defeated as she looks back at him. He raises his hands, taking his rifle and sets it on the ground about a foot away from him.
“Now you two,” Pike orders Octavia and I. I glare at the man before moving my gaze to O, seeing her doing the same. She begins to pull away before changing her stance, holding the blade of her sword against Bellamy’s neck.
“What are you doing?” Kane and I whisper-yell to her at the same time, seriously worried about Bell’s safety.
Pike brings up his walkie and speaks into it. “One in the girl’s leg… both of them,” he orders and I quickly move from my spot as Bellamy takes Octavia’s arm and twists it, having her slowly fall to her knees. “Britt, come on now. Drop the gun. I don’t want to have to kill you.”
Bellamy looks back at me, his brown eyes pleading with me and I let out a defeated sigh before shrugging the strap of my rifle off, throwing it away from me. Pike then lets out a whistle as guards come out from every direction. Kane, Octavia, and I get handcuffed and Bellamy removes the gag from his mouth as Pike walks over to us, taking the sword O had.
“Now you don’t look so good,” Pike tells Bellamy.
“I’m fine,” Bell rasps out while looking towards us.
“You got about five seconds to make me believe that you’re still with me.”
“All the others are in a cave not far from here,” Bellamy tells him and a gasp leaves my lips.
Anger coursed through my veins at the betrayal as Octavia screams at her brother. “You son of a bitch!” She begins to run towards him when she gets stunned with a shock baton, falling to the ground as grunts leave her lips. I keep my eyes on her as hers eventually roll back into her head, passing out from the shock.
“Give me the coordinates,” Pike orders.
“I don’t have the coordinates, but I can take you there,” Bellamy tells him as I narrow my eyes at the fool, trying to figure him out. I thought for sure that he was with us…
We all move through the woods, gags being put into each of our mouths. Octavia was awake by now as she walks in front of me. I keep my eyes on Bellamy’s back as him and Pike lead us.
“Sure about the route? We’re getting close to the blockade line,” the Chancellor mutters to Bellamy as I eavesdrop on the conversation.
“That’s why Kane set up out here. He didn’t think we’d risk it.”
“Well, he was wrong.”
Hm. Is what I think is happening, happening? Is Bellamy leading him to the blockade? Is he actually on our side?
“What’s gonna happen to my sister and Britt? I know they have to answer for their crimes, but-”
“I’ll tell you what,” Pike interrupts, looking towards the elder Blake, “I’ll make you the same promise I made to Monty’s mother. Immunity from all past actions, but if they screw up again-”
“Oh, they won’t. I’ll make sure of it,” he mutters deeply and looks back at us. “My sister, my responsibility and the same goes for Angel now too.”
Pike looks over at him, not saying a word as I quicken my steps, walking beside Octavia and she looks towards me. I nudge her arm, motioning my head towards her brother with a nod, kinda signaling that I know what’s happening and she just looks at me confused. I let out a groan, choking a bit on the gag before a muffled cough leaves my lips.
We all begin to walk over a hill after another ten minutes of silence. “Hold on,” Pike halts, looking towards Bellamy.
“The cave’s just on the other side,” he tells him and begins to descend down the hill. Kane and I glance towards each other as he gives me a confused look. Pike orders the guards to keep an eye out as we all follow after Bellamy, slowly going down the hill.
A horn goes off and I jump, my heart pounding in my chest as everyone with guns begins to take their aim. “The blockade,” Pike calls out as they begin to panic and honestly, so do I. “Anybody got eyes?”
“I got nothing,” one of the guards answers as I stand closely by Octavia, whipping my head around while getting into a fighting stance… just in case.
“Back to higher ground!” Pike utters out and Bellamy grabs the handgun that’s attached to the older man’s thigh, holding it to his head.
“Drop your weapon,” he orders and I internally cheer.
“What the hell are you doing?!” Pike growls.
Bellamy moves a bit closer, yelling at the Chancellor. “Drop your weapon!!” Octavia makes her move and takes down two of the guards. I quickly move and grab their guns, grabbing one for myself and tosses the other one behind me. “We bring your Chancellor Pike of the Sky People. O, translate,” Bell calls out for the grounders to hear as I try my best to aim my gun at the other guards.
The brunette takes the gag out from her mouth. “We bring you Chancellor Pike of Skaikru,” she yells out in trigedasleng.
“You’ve killed us all,” Pike barks at Bellamy as he just stares at the shorter gentlemen.
“Take him. Lift this blockade,” Bellamy speaks and waits for his sister to translate. She yells the translation, her eyes trained on Pike as well.
Arrows fly through the sky and take out the three remaining guards while grounders begin to come out from their hiding places, yelling and screaming. They all take their aim with various weapons and I can’t help but drop the rifle I had, quickly moving to kneel beside O. She looks around and grabs a dagger from one of the dead guards, making her move to kill Pike when Kane steps in front of her, stopping her from doing so.
“Hey, no,” he mutters, removing the gag from his mouth. “The grounders are gonna need him alive. They didn’t get justice for Finn. We won’t get away with that again.”
She calms down slightly as Pike looks back towards Bellamy who still had a gun trained on him. “In that case,” he starts and charges towards the young adult when an arrow flies straight into his shoulder, sending him to the ground. A couple of the grounder kick him while he’s down, grunts leaving the Chancellor’s lips as he grows unconscious.
They pick him up, beginning to walk away when Kane pipes up. “Where are you taking him?” He asks and the grounder turns back to look at the older man.
“To the new commander.”
“May I join you?” Kane questions and pulls up the sleeve to his shirt, revealing the brand on his arm. “We’re the thirteenth clan.”
“Don’t slow us down,” the grounder growls quickly before turning around to continue his path to the city.
I stood a couple feet from everyone, trying to come to with everything that just happened as my chest heaves heavily. “Are you sure?” Monty asks Kane as Octavia removes her restraints. “We know nothing about the new commander.”
“I’m sure. Go home. Tell our people what happened here,” he tells us and Bellamy turns around to see my still gagged and chained. He holds his hand out to Octavia, motioning for the blade in her hands and she reluctantly gives it to him.
The curly-haired man steps up to me, looking into my eyes for a few moments. “You good?” He asks quietly while removing the restraints from my hands.
I nod my head, moving my hands up to remove the gag from my mouth. “Yeah, I’m alright. The bullet hurts a little, but nothing I can’t handle,” I tell him with a small grin. Bellamy gives me a small smile about to say something when Kane calls out his name.
He makes his way back towards Kane as the ex-Chancellor was all up in his face. “Did you do this for your sister and Britt? Or because it was the right thing to do?” He asks and Bellamy stays quiet as both O and I watch from where we stood.
“You’re welcome,” Bellamy mutters, beginning to walk away when Kane grabs onto his arm.
“It matters. Until you see that, you’ll still be lost.”
Kane walks away from Bell as he turns around, his gaze planted on me for a moment before he walks over to Monty.
“My mother turned me in,” Monty mutters and I frown slightly, not being able to believe that Hannah would do such a thing.
“You’re family,” he tells the teen. “We’ll work it out.” Bellamy pats Monty on the shoulder as I watch Octavia look towards her brother who turned to face her.
One of the guards began to groan, lifting his head as O jumps up, letting out a scream before digging the dagger into his shoulder, finishing him off. “Blood must have blood,” she mutters in trigedasleng, her eyes glaring at Bellamy the entire time.
Well… this is awkward.

Word Count: 4.4K
~Master~
*Based off episode 4x09 of the 100, DNR*
*Bold/Italics are Trig!*
A/N: PLEASE READ! So, I’ve made the decision to go back to only writing the parts of the episode that Y/N’s in or parts I deem necessary. I’m just getting tired of writing out 10K parts and not hitting 100 notes. It’s too much work. I haven’t hit 100 notes for this series in a while. I can’t promise when the next update will be (PLEASE DON’T ASK) because it depends on the response I get to this one. Thanks everyone and thanks for being patient with me!

The ride off the island and back to Polis was an almost silent one. You hadn’t said anything to Abby since she destroyed the radiation chamber or to Clarke with her constant glances between you and her mother. Roan was silent as well as he sat next to you, obviously annoyed with the tense situation happening in the back of the rover. When the vehicle stopped, he was the first to jump out, sticking a hand to help you out but you didn’t accept it, sliding out anyways.
“Clarke!” Abby called out as the girl started to follow out behind you, only to stop. “I need to talk to you.” You glanced back at her, Roan waiting back as well when Clarke paused and told you both to go. You nodded, following behind Roan as Abby and Clarke spoke. The snow on the air and in the air made you shiver as you realized you left your jacket back in the rover.
“Hey!” You called ahead to Roan who stopped walking and looked back. “Left my jacket, I’ll be right back. You can keep going, I’ll meet up.” He gave you a look before nodding, watching you rub your arms against the long-sleeved shirt that did nothing against the cold. Clarke and Abby didn’t get far into the conversation as you returned, stopping yourself before they saw you as you listened in.
“What about Roan?” Clarke asked as you pressed yourself against the rover, trying to hear better.
“Trikru would rather go to war than share the bunker with Azgeda.”
You could hear confusion in Clarke’s words as she questioned her mother. “Mom, Roan is our friend. Y/N made a deal with him, he’s our Ally.”
Abby just shook her head. “Not anymore.”
You didn’t know the full story but it was obvious Trikru knew about the bunker and your people were planning on keeping it from Roan’s. “They’re gonna kill him.” Realizing Clarke was right, you ran as fast as you could back to where you left Roan. When he wasn’t there, you kept going, pushing tree branches out of your face until you came into the clearing
“Don’t do it!” you shouted before you everyone looked at you. Kane was the only one you could see who didn’t come with you and by how far back Roan stopped walking, he could tell something was up. Roan pulled out his sword, holding it in the air as Trikru emerged from the trees behind Kane and Clarke and Abby came running in behind you. Abby was clinging onto Clarke as she shouted much like you.
“What is this?” Roan growled out as the men approached him, throwing a look back at you as Abby grabbed your arm as well, trying to hold you back as you fought against her.
“Let me go!” you seethed at her but she refused to let go. Kane shouted, telling everyone there didn’t need to be any violence, but the moment he had, the Trikru men fell with arrows sticking out of them. Abby let you go and you started towards Roan, wanting him to know this wasn’t you, but it was Azgeda’s turn to surprise everyone as they came out of the woods pushing and fighting your people to the ground. “Roan!” you shouted moments before you were forced off your feet, the side of your face shoved into the cold snow as you groaned and tried to pushed yourself back up. Roan turned to look at you, not sparing any help. “This wasn’t me.” You tried to tell him before your hands were pulled behind you and you gave up, realizing the rest of your people did as well.
---
After the ambush, you and everyone else were taken to Polis as prisoners, brought right to their cells and locked in the cuffs. You didn’t fight back, hoping Roan would have a shred of decency and hear you out. Once the grounders cleared out you turned to Abby, putting a fake smile on your face. “So, was getting captured part of the grand plan?”
“Y/N.” Kane started to chastise you before you sent him a glare.
“Don’t even get me started with you.” You snapped and made the already tense atmosphere unbearable. Kane didn’t say anything, realizing you weren’t in a mood to speak kindly.
“Skaikiler.” One of Azgeda’s guards came back inside, heading straight to you and unlocking you from the wall, but binding your hands in rope once again and gagging you. You followed him out, not looking at anyone expect Clarke, knowing she found out when you did. He led you right up to Roan, who looked completely pissed as you walked in and Echo walked out.
“How long have you known?” He asked once you both were alone and he pulled your gag out of your mouth.
You took a deep breath, crossing your arms in front of you. “I just found out, Abby was telling Clarke in the rover, I overheard them when I went back for my jacket.”
Roan looked at you for a moment, remembering how you came running before. “Thank you for trying to warn me.”
“Just be thankful I left my jacket.” You grumbled and held your hands up, motioning to the ties as Roan pulled out his knife and cut you free. “Thanks.” You let the rope fall to the ground before looking up at him. “Their plan sucked, but this doesn’t have to be a war.”
“It already is a war. Your people betrayed me.”
Roan started to walk away before you tugged his arm, keeping him from going far. “But I didn’t!” You reminded him as he looked over his shoulder, knowing you had a point. “Let me go and talk to Indra and Kane. Call a summit, let me talk to the people!”
Considering your offer, Roan shook his head before walking towards you, making you step back out of the small fear. “Fine, but I’m holding your people.”
“Roan.” Your words were pointed as you crossed your arms. “Kane needs to be there and you know it.”
“Your chancellor's lucky he still has his head.” You narrowed your eyes at him before he sighed. “If anyone can convince mortal enemies to move in together, it's you. I'll call for the summit.” Roan passed you, heading out the door and leaving you alone in the room. You let out a groan before leaning against the table, letting your head fall in your hands.
“Well, this is gonna be great.” You said to yourself sarcastically before removing the gag from around your neck and waited for the King to return.
Upon his return the two of you went to the temple, only making you more irritated as you were searched not only once but twice. “If you didn’t find something the first time, what are the odds you’re going to find something the second time?” No one answered you, knowing your question was out of annoyance.
“If I’m not back in an hour, my army will attack.” Roan threatened to a Trikru guard as another searched you. A girl was kneeling on the ground as you and Roan approached.
“You’re Gaia?” you spoke out, interrupting her prayers as Gaia’s eyes opened but she didn’t turn around. You cleared your throat. “I’m-“
“I know who you are.” She interrupted you before standing up, getting a look at you. “Skaikiler.” You averted your eyes, putting a smile on your face to hide.
“I heard you helped my people find the bunker. Thank you.” You told her but she continued to remain unhappy, her glare letting you know this wasn’t going to be as easy as you hoped.
“And your people gave the Flame to an unworthy King who saw it destroyed.” She said and your eyes widened slightly. “For that I am not as grateful.”
Yeah. This was going to be interesting.
“Let’s go see what all the fuss is about.” Roan said and you cleared your throat, meeting his gaze before he started to walk away. You paused, looking back to Gaia to see her stone faced before you followed Roan. You both stood in front of the bunker, looking at the stairs to head down.
“Cozy.” You muttered sarcastically before feeling Roan’s eyes on you and you turned.
“After you.” He said with a smirk and you rolled your eyes jokingly. You did enter first though, finding yourself in the airlock as you took a deep breath. Roan clambered down the ladder behind you as you moved out of the way, waiting until he was off before you entered into the bunker. You were struck by how large it was, and unlike the last bunker you found, how it wasn’t covered with blood and dead bodies. You were almost halfway down the long ramp to the floor, your fingers brushing against the metal grates on the fans attached to the wall before Roan stopped you with a gentle grab on your elbow. You turned to him, but caught sight of Indra coming down a hallway with other grounder men and women behind her. “All my enemies in one place.” Roan grumbled sparing you a glace.
You furrowed your brow as you recognized the war chiefs from your stay at Polis. “Indra was supposed to be alone.” You whispered, meeting Roan’s irritated eyes.
“What fun would that be?” You didn’t say anything as Roan and you finished your walk down and Indra and Roan were immediately at each other’s throats.
They argued back and forth, Indra claiming Roan was only here to make peace because Trikru holds the temple and with Azgeda surrounding the temple, Trikru wouldn’t live to see the inside. It wasn’t until Indra brought up war being inevitable now that Lexa was gone, did you manage to step in and put an end to the argument.
“Stop.” You said as both leaders fell silent, but didn’t back down from their positions. “Praimfaya is in 6 days and that’s the only thing that’s inevitable, alright?” You said looking to Indra as they both turned to you. “Anyone not in this bunker will be dead.”
Indra and Roan both looked at you and you thought they were coming to terms with what you were saying, until a war chief spoke. “Then we should get to it!” She declared, aiming for the prospect of war. You met Roan’s face, realizing you were losing.
“Roan. You know I’m right.” You said, sparing a look of anger to the woman. Roan shook his head.
“We talked.” He began as you stared him down, hoping he’d take your side. “Now we fight.”
“No!” you yelled and grabbed his arm keeping him from walking away. You tried to get them to listen. “1,200 people. This bunker can fit 1,200 people! We can share it and all the clans would survive.” You looked at Indra, swallowing harshly before carrying on. “That’s what Lexa would’ve wanted.”
Indra’s face faltered slightly at the mention of Lexa, but she didn’t give up. “You’re right. And if she were here, the clans might have obeyed her, but seeing as there’s no commander to rule us,” Her speech paused momentarily as she stood directly in front of you. “war it is.”
When it was time to leave the bunker, you fell behind, trying to think of a way to save people. It wasn’t until you saw Gaia did a plan click in your brain.
If they wanted a commander, you’d give them a commander.
Trikru men led Roan outside, clearing out the temple as you slowed down, ultimately finding yourself behind everyone and when the coast was clear, you closed the temple doors with you and Gaia inside.
“What are you doing?” Gaia asked, her brows drawn as she stood away from you.
“I know you have the flame.” You started walking her way, making her backup in fear but you didn’t care. “I know Octavia gave it to you.”
“Leave.” She threatened but you shook your head.
“No. I can’t let this war happen, Gaia.” You told her, stopping in front of her and shaking your head.
Gaia scoffed. “Not you or even Wanheda could stop the clans from killing each other.” She told you, meeting your eyes with a glare.
You licked your lip, raising your brow. “What if I offered you something better than Skaikiler or Wanheda?”
Seeming interested, Gaia motioned for you to continue. “What would you have to offer?”
“Make me the Commander.”
“You?” Gaia asked in distain. “You’re not a Natblida. I won’t have a red-blooded commander-“
Before she could finish the sentence, you reached forward and grabbed her knife. Gaia immediately withdrew another dagger and pointed it your way. You, however, never pointed your stolen blade at her and instead brought it to your palm. Gaia looked on confused as you drug the blade across your skin and you winced slightly at the feeling, but watched as your newly black blood slowly came from the cut. Gaia looked between you and the cut, unaware of the science behind your blood.
“Make me the commander.”

Planning their strategies, Roan, Echo, and a few of Roan’s men stood around a table, trying their best to obtain the bunker. They were struggling with their attempts, finding time to be an issue, but their work was cut short at the sound of a horn filling Polis. The room went quiet, everyone turning to the window as Roan quickly walked over.
“The ascension call?” Echo said as she followed Roan and they both saw the fire atop the tower, indicating the rise of a new commander. “The flame was destroyed, how is this possible? You said you saw it.”
Roan nodded his head, brows drawn together tightly in fear. “It was shattered.” He said briefly before his eyes narrowed and he was beginning to catch onto what was happening. “I saw what they wanted me to.”
“A new commander is bad for us.” Echo pointed out needlessly. “Let me stop this ascension, at least until we know who the Natblida is.”
Roan was furious, glaring at the fire sitting brightly atop the tower mocking him. “I know who it is.” He mumbled. He knew of only one person who would take the throne from him with Nightblood. He knew it was you.
---
Gaia stood at the front of the throne room watching as the clans and leaders entered, each one showing faces of confusion and disbelief in the ascension call. Indra snuck behind everyone, managing to stand behind her daughter as she spoke.
“Are you presiding?” Indra asked her in a hush tone, hoping to find out what was happening.
“Yes.” Gaia spoke without turning to face her mother. “The Flame chose me as its protector and our scouts honor that.”
Indra only grew more curious. “Did one of them find a Natblida?” She asked and only received a sharp ‘obviously’ from Gaia in return. Ignoring Gaia’s ignorance, Indra kept pushing. “What clan are they from?” Gaia turned and shot Indra a look, not answering Indra’s questions. “This is highly unusual, Gaia. With no conclave, there are questions to be asked.”
Indra would her answers soon enough as Gaia stepped forwards with plans to continue the ascension. Roan shook his head as Gaia spoke and the ceremony commenced. “Let the commander ascend.” Gaia said before you walked into through the door of the throne room with your head held high.
Immediately, you heard sounds of confusion and disgust from the room as you approached Gaia. “Skaikiler is no Natblida!” Someone shouted from the crowd as Indra stepped up in an outrage.
“What is this?” She demanded to know, but Gaia and you stayed silent. Gaia took your hand and held it over the Flame, previously set in a ritual bowl. Everyone watched on as Gaia brought a knife up and sliced your skin before squeezing your hand, letting your blood cover your hand and hers.
Sounds of shock were heard all throughout the room as people kneeled to you. “The blood of the commanders is your blood.” Gaia said as she dipped her fingers into the mix of sand and blood in the ritual bowl. She brought her hand up to your forehead, making a line down the center as she spoke. “May the spirit choose wisely.”
When Gaia was done, it was your turn. “May the spirit of the Commanders guide me.” You turned around, slowly kneeling on the ground and took a deep breath. You were about to look down before seeing Lexa standing in the crowd behind the scouts. She didn’t say anything, she didn’t even smile. She just watched you kneel there, preparing yourself for the familiar feeling of the Flame in your head. Hearing Gaia approach, you bowed your head, but peaked up to find Lexa gone again.
Gaia cleared the back of your neck from your hair and jacket, letting her see your faded old scar. She brought the Flame up, whispering to it. “Ascende.” The stems from the Flame revealed itself as you closed your eyes, waiting for the insertion.
“Lies upon lies.” Roan spoke, pulling the attention as your head snapped his way. You hoped he wouldn’t say anything, you needed him to stay silent, but it doesn’t look like he would. He stepped forward, threatening to ruin the ceremony.
“Step out of the sacred circle.” Gaia snarled as she came face to face with the man.
“There’s nothing sacred about this.” Roan told her, looking over her shoulder at you who shook your head. “Skaikiler is making a mockery of our faith.”
Ignoring the murmurs and gasps of the room you stepped forwards. “I’m trying to save everyone, Roan. Praimfaya is in 6 days.”
He just smirked at you. “Then don’t waste our time.” He told you before turning to the door. “Bring in the healer!”
You looked immediately passed him, seeing Clarke and Abby escorted in by Echo and Clarke pushed past people to you. “What are you doing, Y/N?”
“What I have to, to make sure everyone doesn’t go war with each other.” You told her, lowering your voice between the three of you, although you didn’t spare Abby a glance.
“We don’t know if this would work, the Flame could kill you.” It was Abby who spoke up and finally you looked at her, narrowing your eyes and clenching your fists.
“Well, we had another plan.” You reminded her, seeing her advert her eyes. “But you destroyed it.”
“She might’ve saved your life.” Clarke mumbled after having spent the day in the cell with her mom, briefly seeing her point of view.
You scoffed at her, trying to come to terms with what she was saying. “You don’t know that! I could’ve been fine. Everyone could’ve been fine.” You stressed, trying to keep your voice low again as you remembered the dozens of others in the room.
“Enough!” Roan yelled out, making the three of you look at him. Your eyes plead to him, but he refused to look at you. “Tell them, healer, how Skaikiler became a Natblida.”
“Abby.” You whispered, seeing Abby’s head turn slightly towards you. “Please. Don’t.” Abby stayed quiet, her eyes darting back and forth as she tried to decide what to do. She already took away one chance at saving everyone, could she take away another?
“Through science.”
“Clarke!” you gasped in disbelief, not prepared for Clarke to be the one to speak. She turned to you, reaching for your hand but you pulled it out of her grasp. “How could you?”
“I’m sorry.” She whispered, never breaking eye contact. “I couldn’t let you put it back in your head, not if we don’t know what will happen to you.”
You stared at her, feeling betrayed before shaking your head. Gaia brought you back to the ceremony as she spoke to Abby. “You made her a Natblida?” Abby nodded.
Roan, smirking at the small success, turned to the crowd of scouts. “If anyone can be a Natblida and take the Flame, then we can no longer trust the blood.”
You heard quite a few declares of agreements as Indra stepped in, looking at you in disappointment before the scouts. “What we can still trust is the sword.” She shouted. “We’ve delayed this war long enough.”
You felt defeated, the one thing you had been trying to prevent all along was happening and you failed. Roan looked at you, seeing your eyes trained to the ground before he stopped himself. “Wait.” He said, getting you to look up and meet his eyes. “Y/N was right about one thing. Fighting a war is a bad way to decide who gets to survive.” You didn’t wait to get your hopes up. Roan was all for a war, there’s no way he’d turn it down now. He faced Indra, standing taller. “You summoned all your scouts here for an ascension, but you left out the best part.”
Indra paused to think before realization struck her. “A conclave.”
Roan nodded, turning to the scouts as his eyes briefly met yours and he smirked. “A final conclave. One champion per clan.” He announced.
You knotted her brows. “One death instead of thousands.” You said, seeing him nod.
“Whoever wins gets the bunker.” He finished. Indra agreed, along with the other clans. You looked around, realizing the other 12 clans were in. Roan made his way to you slowly, listening to the talking of the others as he stood in front of you and Clarke. “Will you fight,” he began pausing as you tried to hide your nerves with a swallow, “or will you burn?”
You turned to Clarke with fear written in both of your eyes, but you knew what had to happen. For your people.
“Skaikru will fight.”
---
“Bellamy!” you shouted as you saw his flop of curly hair jump out of a rover. His eyes immediately darted around, looking for you. His shoulders fell in relief when he saw you running towards him. He dropped the bag in his arms right in time to catch you, feeling your head bury itself in the crook of his neck as his arms held you tight.
“Thank god, you’re okay.” Bellamy mumbled, cradling the back of your head. After the day he’s had, the goodbyes he’d had to make, he wanted nothing more than to hold you and never let you go. He pulled away briefly, only enough to kiss you deeply before you were hugging again.
“A little help?” A man called from the rover as Bellamy and you broke apart. You quickly helped carry the bags from Arkadia into the tower. You never left Bellamy’s side, but you did glace around, looking for your friends you left behind in Arkadia.
“Where’s Jasper?” You asked, not seeing Bellamy’s face fall slowly. “And Monty and Harper?” You felt Bellamy’s hand grab yours as you stopped looking around and finally saw the look on his face.
“Come on.” He said, throwing an arm around your shoulder and pulling you into his side as you walked to the tower. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
Bellamy and you spent the rest of the afternoon talking about the rest of the kids back at Arkadia- your friends- staying behind until Praimfaya’s radiation killed them. You couldn’t believe what they were doing. You weren’t even going to get to say goodbye and you just lost more of your family.
“They just gave up?” You whispered as Bellamy and you sat on a couch in the tower alone, your legs draped over his lap as you played with his hands. You couldn’t look away from the wall, finding your emotions too hard to handle and do anything but that. “Did you try and stop them?”
Bellamy stayed silent, making you look at him with wide eyes. “It’s what they wanted.” You didn’t know what to say, so you stayed silent. Bellamy, already feeling guilty over not trying harder, didn’t pressure you to speak. He just focused on your hands and the loose bandages barely wrapped around them. Slowly he unwrapped them, feeling your head rest gently on his shoulder as he looked at the cuts from today. “So, a final conclave?” he asked, looking at you through the corner of his eyes before wrapping your bandage tighter.
You nodded against his shoulder, slowly rising your feet and pulling him with you as you headed out to the balcony. The cold air felt good against your skin as you looked out below. “The whole city is the battlefield.” You told him, feeling him lean over the ledge with you. “No time limit and no guns. Just one warrior from each clan until only one remains.”
Bellamy seemed skeptical. “And the winner takes the bunker, just like that.” You nodded again, groaning as you dropped your head into your hands, feeling Bellamy wrap an arm around your waist and pull you closer. “Without guns and without anyone trained in grounder combat, there's no way we can win.” He muttered. You nodded again, both of you falling silent before you lifted your head up, turning to meet his eyes. “What?” He asked, unsure of your change of emotion.
