here's the good news: you don't know what else you still have to learn about this world.

i've been here for almost three decades. i know a lot of things. i know a lot about nature. it can tell you lots of facts about flowers and trees and creatures. i am lucky to say i have spent a large portion of my life wandering around outside.

i didn't know the fog lifts until today. i thought it was just a saying; like how we say rain "peters out", or that "dawn breaks".

goblin and i were walking in a place called pine alley. these red pines all are old wood; they stretch high up. the path is wide and beautiful. the fog was snuggled against the ground in a warm fur. i was on a call with my brother, talking about a funeral.

i've been jaded recently. certain personal things have been going very badly. i'm stressed beyond the breaking point, because i hit the breaking point about 2 months ago and had to keep going. i recently ran out of room on my to-do list for a single day - and i wasn't even breaking down my tasks neatly.

but the fog lifted.

i'd never seen it do that. i didn't know it could happen so quickly. the curtain, slipping upwards, returning to the sky. my brother kept talking on the other end of the line. i had to interrupt him. holy shit, i said. fog actually lifts.

i've been living in foggy locations my whole life. i love fog. i love the gentle quiet peace that comes with it.

and here, in the trees beside a meadow, i felt the universe wink at me. see, it said, there's things even you keep learning.

In mp100 you can def tell that the main cast are kids, if you tell me mob's 14 Id buy it, he looks like a 14 yo, and acts like one, same with the rest of the younger cast (except the body improvement club lmao), however if you tell me jotaro is 17 im not gonna believe it, and same thing with many other anime protagonists.

And they look so much like kids that during fights i often cant help but just look in shock at the screen, the koyama fight was almost hard to watch, youre just seeing this kid get violently beat up and its horrible. The first encounter with Teru also goes with this, its so heartwrenching to see these two kids pushing each other to their limits. Something something, reigen not letting the kids fight at the end of 1s and worrying about mob during the 2s

Then you also have moments of realization of: WHAT DO YOU MEAN A 14YO TORNADO'D THROUGH AN ENTIRE FUCKING CITY???

Do y'all see this grown man BEGGING for Sydney to put him in his place and set his ass straight?? S1 Carmy was arrogant and didn't think twice about saying whatever the fuck he wanted. You don't like how he runs his kitchen? Go fuck yourself and get the fuck out. S2 Carmy is begging Sydney to let him know when he's wrong because he doesn't want her to leave him again. A part of Carmy's characterization is that he's the one that abandons people. He didn't need anyone. Carmy literally ghosted his family and shut anyone that was a distraction out of his life, and here he is doing everything he can to make Sydney stay because he needs her. If the vibe is even a little off he's like what's wrong? What happened? What did I do? He literally wants Sydney to tell him what to do.
