We went on a road trip!

Hello friends! I've been a little quiet, but it's a good reason!

So, I moved away from all of my family and friends in 2019 to pursue a, I guess you could say new life? Anyway, then chaos happened, and let's just say I haven't seen my family and friends for a very long time. The longest time I've ever gone without seeing them, honestly. Well, I finally got to see them from the end of April, into May. So yeah, I've just been enjoying my time away! I want to share this photo from a part of our trip. This is in Hiawasse, Georgia, USA and I never knew such amazing views existed in GA. It was breath-taking, and worth the extremely sketchy drive to the top of this place called Bell Mountain. 10/10 do recommend. (I also recommend 4-wheel drive, lol) What did I eat most of the time you ask? Fries and hasbrowns, my fellow vegans. Fries, and hashbrowns. <3

Bell Mountain, Pre-Columbian It's a local landmark, and is not actually a 'mountain' as much as a large, very steep hill. There's these lonely steep hills just kinda around parts of the Mojave. They're decomposing just extra slowly because of the material. It's neat! It doesn't look exactly like this, that is, there's a water tank and businesses and suburbs nearby the actual mountain. Sometimes I look at the desert and try to imagine it before there were invasive grasses and mustards. A wet autumn a thousand years ago.

You wanna know what's crazy? Now knowing that Laura and Marisha didn't plan to be romantic this campaign at all, it is INSANE that everything went so perfectly, thematically, exactly the way it did.

The series of events from the rock breaking, Dusk showing up RIGHT as it was happening, to them making up just so Otohan could show up and kill Laudna not a DAY later literally because she wanted to get on Imogen's nerves ("Is she your favorite?"). And then Imogen obliterating Delilah with her own fucking hands for Laudna. Getting the circlet. Laudna holding Imogen on the ship they were about to crash having that Tether Talk^tm just before they were separated ONCE AGAIN.

Just the entire escalation that led to them meeting in Jrusar that day and Imogen blurting out "Can I kiss you?" in the mfing BREAD ISLE because she couldn't hold back her feelings is BONKERS.

Even down to Imogen saying she "thought dates were supposed to have sparks" after their date with pretty and telling Laudna she "has the biggest spark she's ever seen" a long ass time later in Bassuras.

The evolution of their feelings for each other, the tension that was building on that table every time they talked to each other. The fact that it all happened serendipitously with absolutely no previous plan and it went just the way it did? Immaculate. Showstopping. Absolutely astounding. If Marisha, Matt and Laura had sat down and planned this whole thing from the beginning it still couldn't have gone more perfectly.

I know a lot of people wanted John to have shot and killed Micah first, but there's something so awfully poetic about Dutch being the one who had shot him.

How Micah, in those mere moments, felt the same betrayal that Arthur had felt when Dutch left him on that mountain, despite being the one who was supposed to betray Dutch.

Micah thought he was untouchable after manipulating and driving a wedge into the gang, but he was blindsided by the very man he tried to align himself with. Dutch’s betrayal of Micah feels like a really distorted reflection of what Arthur wanted - for Dutch to see what damage Micah had done. But it's just a reminder of the sick cycle of loyalty and betrayal that defined Dutch as a character.

John pulling the trigger first would have been satisfying, but Dutch's choice gives it a haunting depth that sticks with you.
