Russian River + Brooklyn Fonio Belgian-style Blonde Ale (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A classic, well-done Belgian blond with some nice floral and spice notes in the nose and the expected Belgian yeast, and a clean body and finish. Interestingly done with the fonio grain, but I'm not sure you'd notice that on its own.

Brouwerij Palm 8 Horse Power Blond (Picked up at Albert Heijn in Amsterdam). A 2 of 4. A Belgian blond with the yeast character you'd expect quite strongly in the nose, and a light, relatively clean body. Quite a bit of grain sweetness and some fruity notes, too.

This is not my first time drinking La Chouffe. I am a huge fan of this beer and often buy it around Christmas. The weather was perfect and I drank this beer with my window open, enjoying the notes of clove and banana, while reading. 8/10
