my bf and I are a disabled t4t couple who have been homeless for just over a year. after waiting as long to hear back, our first and only lead on housing fell through. we were living in our car until it died jul 1st.

recently we lived in a tent in the national forest 1.5 miles from a water source and with no way to charge our phones. having to call an ambulance 15 miles into the woods on our last 1% battery and half a bar was a bad time. i would have had to run almost a mile on foot to flag down someone for help otherwise. we obviously didnt want to stay out there without our own transportation, but we didnt have another option.

we are staying with a friend in the city now and hopeful that we're in an area with more resources, but it's temporary, and we still need all the help we can get continuing to survive homelessness while we try to get on disability.

we mainly need money for meds, toiletries and other medically necessary stuff insurance doesn't cover (like electrolytes for POTS). also, bel's 25th birthday is next week and i want to be able to take him to dinner. he's already getting gray hairs... hes had such a shit year and I just wanna get him something nice <3 !

for anyone interested, we post a little bit about life as homeless queer guys, our medical conditions, and our experiences in general on Kofi & sometimes our sideblog @vagabond-sky. we also sometimes post art there- I currently have some of my photography (incl drag photography!) and some of my poetry on kofi.

I usually freelance and do art sales/commissions when I can, but lately our circumstances haven't allowed for it; currently we are living on a monthly income of $0- whatever we can get from friends is all we have. we have no set goal atm, we work with whatever we can get, so every single dollar helps!

All images will have a watermark during the WIP stage. The watermark will be removed upon delivery of the artwork.

Please remember that all copyright is retained by me, the artist, and starryspectre/Bel must be credited when/if you share the artwork anywhere. If you share my artwork online, a link to my site or blog would be really helpful, but it isn’t mandatory.

These price guidelines are for personal use only. Commercial artwork (e.g. book illustrations, editorials etc) will require further negotiation of prices, as well as a new contract and licensing agreement.

Development

Major revisions (e.g. changing a pose, clothing, angles etc) are best decided on during the sketch phase of the artwork. This is because I am a traditional artist and major revisions are not easily achieved once the work is completed. This means that once I get your approval on a sketch, no more major revisions can be be done. So please tell me if something is not to your liking or you would like something significantly altered during the sketch stage.

Please try to keep major revisions to a minimum of two.

Minor revisions (such as a small change of colour or fine details) are okay and incur no added cost.

Please send references to help me meet your requirements as closely as possible. This can include sketches and photos, but descriptions are also useful.

If you do not have a very solid idea of what you want, it’s okay! These are simply rough guidelines for the limits of what I can/will do. Much of the brief will likely be created during our initial discussion, so if you’re not sure, the best idea is to just shoot me a message and see if we can come up with something.

Payment

Paypal is preferred but if you live in the UK and would rather do a bank transfer, this can also be arranged.

50% of the payment is expected before the commencement of work on the commission, and 50% upon its completion.

Alternatively, you can pay me 100% of my fee before the commencement of work if you prefer.

Cancellation & Kill fees

If the commission is cancelled before the sketch stage, I will refund you fully.

If the commission is cancelled during the sketch phase, I will refund 50% of the initial fee paid. If you have paid in full already, I will repay 75% of the overall fee.

If the commission is cancelled after the sketch phase, there will be no refund.

If I cannot complete the commission for some unjustifiable reason of my own, I will refund you fully.

Content

I will not illustrate depictions of excessive gore, violence, or hateful subject matter (racism, homophobia, misogyny etc).

Nudity and NSFW commissions will be accepted as long as they do not fall into the above categories.

I will not plagiarise another artist’s work, designs or style.

hi my boyfriend @smeetlinglord and I are trans + disabled + have been homeless for just over a year, displaced no less than 6 times since.

we are in a new area trying to get resources & a disability lawyer. we currently have no income, ive been collecting cans & we have food stamps, but we are going to need crucial med refills soon as well as paying the phone bill (Bel has been operating on wifi only for over a month & needs to be able to reach doctors, pharmacies & other resources via phone).

im setting a loose goal of $150 (which is for both of us for the whole month!), but if anyone could help us out with even $5, it makes a HUGE difference to us. we each live on less than $3/day. 40 would cover the phone; the rest will go to meds & otc supplies.

In realtà, a quanto riporta la storia su instagram della ragazza, non è che ha “chiesto soldi”, ma ha chiesto-non-chiesto dei regali.

Dallo screenshot della storia della nostra Anna Lou riportato nell'articolo linkato, infatti, la richiesta-non-richiesta risulta un po' ambigua: da un lato sembra dettata dal suggerimento di qualche suo follower (“dato che alcuni me l'hanno chiesto” dice), però la conclusione con un bel “sarebbe molto gradito!” sembra allo stesso tempo esprimere un suo desiderio.

Non sappiamo bene il contesto in cui è inserito quell'episodio, e ci vengono in mente le parole di questa immagine:
