Steddie fae!au

Fae!Steve who is changling. Who used to be a little more malicious with his tricks as a young teen, but now is just a bit mischievous as most. Harmless, really. But he has a questionable hobby…

Some people collect action figures, comic book, ties, but Steve? He collects names, okay! He doesn’t do anything with them, promise, but he likes to collect them. And his job as a barista ensures that he has an impressive roster of names.

“Hi, welcome to Upside Down Coffee. May I have your name?

“Estelle.”

Steve, eyes gleaming with excitement, “Ooh, that’s a beautiful name. I hadn’t had the pleasure to meet someone with that name until now.” And the lady blushes at his flirting, leaving a few bucks in his jar.

And then meets Eddie who refuses to give him his name. He doesn’t know if it’s deliberate or not. And he never misses the chance to flirt with him, mistaking his flushed cheeks from being flustered, but really it’s frustration.

“Hi, welcome! May I have your name?”

“You can put me down as Eddie, sweetheart.”

Steve: >:(

“Hi! May I have your name?”

“Just Eddie will do.” He winks.

Steve: >:(

“Hi, welcome back! May I have your name?”

“Come on, bright eyes, dont you remember me?” Eddie pouts.

“Well,” he bats his eyelashes, “I was hoping you’d give me your real first name.”

“God no, it’s atrocious. Trust me, Princess, I’ll spare you.”

Steve: >:(

Steve doesn’t know this but Eddie is half fae. He knows what Steve is trying to do, and finds it hilarious to give him the run around. Besides, he’s so cute when he furiously writes down ‘Eddie’ on his cup with that little frown creasing his brow.

Round 2 of the Fae! I bunched the Chaotix and the Rabbits together, they seemed to fit!

More rambles under the cut:

So the Chaotix still work together, they have a range of skills between them (Vector can swim/dive, Charmy can fly and Espio is great at stealth and climbing) so they often take on odd-jobs for other fae. They're not high members of a court and they don't have much on their own, Vector and Charmy specifically don't care for fancy dress although Espio likes to have nicer clothes for festivities. Most Fae trade goods in exchange for things but these three pay in favours instead, they make a rag-tag group but they always get the job done. They like to play music together, Charmy's flowers make excellent instruments!

Vanilla and Cream are always together, they're from the same family of flora and share a fauna (in-appearance) so they're particularly close. Vanilla is exceptionally skilled in both baking and tailoring, she sews with silk and her flowers give her vanilla bean. She's a highly respected member of the Spring Court due to her luxury items for trade. Cream is Vanilla's helper, she's learning how to sew and bake and helps with things like harvesting and deliveries, she has a similar status in the court as a result - they're both just well liked by most fae.

Despite the difference in status, the Chaotix and the Orchids are very friendly with each other, Vanilla often asks for favours and gives them plenty of goods as payment (Espio seems to be the only one who realises the favours aren't really necessary). Vector's infatuated but he assumes Vanilla wouldn't look his way, but he tries to do his best to impress her doing busywork. Charmy and Cream are close friends - they like to fly around and play in the wind with the bees.

To help me get back into drawing I decided to finally visualize my fae au where all the heta characters are fae inspired by flying insects :)

Ludwig is an European Honey Bee faery. In his hive drones (men) work alongside the workers (women) but typically do smaller jobs like keeping the hive clean. Which is what Ludwig and his brother do.

I’m not too sure what type of fae everyone else will be yet but I have some lore ideas for wasp fae as well since they’re an enemy of honey bees.

I wonder what other down-on-their-luck kid they’re gonna bring in to s5 for Joyce to pick up off the street.

There’s always one ☝️ every season where we all immediately write a fanfic where Joyce swoops in and picks them up by the scruff of their neck for Hopper to be disgruntled about (or vice versa tbh)

Fae au doodles!!

first we have the princess of the spring court Marinette! I was inspired by tulips and dark pinks/reds

(also the head behind mari was supposed to be sabine current queen of the spring court!)

next there’s Félix, prince of the winter court! I was inspired by frost and just winter in general (his design is definitely going to change)

Lastly we have Lila! A knight of the autumn court, I was heavily inspired by mushrooms!
